Short YouTube clip by Jim Katsoulis advising against perfectionist 'Type A' dieting. The speaker recommends adopting a calm, patient 'Type B' mindset that anticipates setbacks and prioritizes sustainable, long-term results over short-term perfection.
Everyone becomes a type A person when they want to lose weight. Rarely do you see someone approach their weight loss in a calm, relaxed way with a slow and steady mindset. Instead, people want to overcorrect and be perfect on day one and be perfect all the way till they reach their goal weight, which rarely happens because you're a human being living a human life. And so along this path you're going to experience challenges and setbacks that you need to account for. So it makes a lot more sense to approach this as a type B person with a deep sense of calm relaxation and a sense of patience so that you can focus on getting long term results over short term results.
