Oh, no. Everyone, welcome to today's Program Yourself Thin Podcast. Today we're talking about everything is going to return to normal. Sometimes when you're in the middle of Christmas and New Year's, you kind of lose track of time, you lose track of reality a little. So I'm here to kind of remind you that things aren't going to stay this way. You know, the extra cookies, extra holiday treats, the. The. All this different stuff. We do go back to normal. And you want to remember that because otherwise it can feel like this is gonna go on forever and you can get a little lost in that. Right? But. But again, we're gonna get back to normal. And so let's talk about that because I think it's a great time to reframe what we're doing here with Program Yourself Then a big difference between typical weight loss and dieting. And Program Yourself Thin's approach is that we program yourself thin. We're really getting fixated on being at our goal weight, so we're always focused on our normal, our new normal of living as a thin, healthy person, okay? Whereas weight loss and dieting is always about not doing what you always do. So it's about not overeating, not eating the wrong foods, not doing the wrong stuff. And this is a fundamental difference. And you'll feel it right now, you'll especially feel it at this moment because your whole foundation's kind of faded away, right? You're in weirdville, weird days off and extra food's around, and it's just, it's a weird time. And you're going to notice that if you're thinking like a dieter, you really feel off kilter, you really feel off balance. Because again, most of what you're thinking about in this process, about what you're going to stop doing, right? And so what's happened here is that now all of a sudden you're eating all this stuff, and so now you're probably feeling overwhelmed, like, oh, my God, now not only do I have trouble stopping the normal stuff normally, and now it's holidays with extra stuff added on top. Now I gotta stop even more stuff, and it starts to feel this overwhelming. I need to stop, stop, stop, stop to get back on track. Whereas for the Program Yourself, then we make space for getting off track a little bit, like having a little more food and all the rest of it. But we've been maintaining our track the whole time. So me as well, I've been in the cookies, bread, all sorts of shit for last week especially. But I'm not worried about it because the whole time I've still had my water, I've still been sleeping well, I've still been getting rest, I'm still, you know, meditating. I'm still doing my core basic stuff. And I know when I think about next week, I imagine what I'm going to do. Back to my normal routine, back to my structure. And that's how I think about it. Because I'm primarily thinking this process is a path I'm walking, the person I'm becoming, not the person I have to stop being. Do you get that difference? Because it's so fundamental psychologically that you shift from focusing on who you don't want to be, Right? Because think about even losing weight. Right within that concept is the idea that you're overweight and you don't want to be overweight anymore. You want to lose the weight. So your focus is pinned to being overweight. And all of the words describe this process for you are about not being that way. That makes sense. Not being overweight, not overeating, not eating sugar, not eating carbs, not eating sweets, everything. Dieting wise is about not doing something. And what I'm trying to tell you is that program yourself is about what you're going to do, drinking your water, eating whole natural foods, getting some sleep, understanding your habits. Okay? So it's about what we're doing. And so when we go through the holidays again, we add some extra stuff on top of it, without question. But the whole time we still have our foundational structure there. Even if it's a little wobbly or even if we're not following it as clearly as we usually do, it's still there. So there's no feeling of, oh, I'm completely off track. I'm eating more, I've been eating more. And I know that. But I also know that I've been keeping the core components of my being on track in place as well in preparation for next week when Monday rolls around again, I won't shift just like that, but I will start again, weaning out some of the extra stuff that's coming in and really focusing in on the core thoughts, feelings, behaviors of being a thin, healthy person. All right, so I hope this helps you out. This is a what I'm talking about here. It's like we never talk about this with weight loss because it's a mindset, right? It's a mindset of how you're thinking about this process. But what I'm saying to you is just relax, calm down, and Realize again that regardless of what we're doing next week, normal reality starts to return. Okay, so enjoy this time because it's a special time of year. I will always say this, that I believe between Christmas and New Year's is such a special time because it's kind of like it's wrapping up one year and the new year has a start. It's kind of this liminal space of time and I love it. I think it's a great opportunity for you to reflect on the year you've had and to get ready for the year you want to have coming up. But part of that foundationally can be realizing that no matter how you feel now or no matter how shitty your reading may be right now, that as next week starts to approach, as your normal reality starts to come back, you're going to go back into those grooves and those things that you were doing and a lot of the other stuff, the holiday stuff's going to fade away. So don't freak out about that again. Reality is going to take care of a lot of that for you. But then beyond that again, understand that we want to focus on what you want to do more than what you don't want to do. So hope this helps you out. If you want to go deeper into this concept, click the link in my bio. Go get the free hypnosis session. I got tons of free stuff coming up for you. My book, the dao of living at your goal weight. So Karen, Karen Ross says portion control is challenging. I cook only for me, but everything I buy is in 1 pound increments. Ground turkey or ground beef. So I cook it with vegetables and can't stop eating. I also don't want to waste food, something I carried with me from childhood. Plus I'm a great cook. It tastes good. Okay, fair enough. But, but Karen, great. Great job identifying the, the issue, the challenge very clearly. So that's a wonderful description. Calm, level headed, accurate, descriptive. So great job, Karen. Okay, so the next step becomes. Okay, what strategies do I have to deal with this, right, I buy everything in one pound increments right off the bat. I mean, the first thing my head says, and I don't want to get lost. I don't want to confuse the process with the specifics I'll share. Okay? So for me, the process starts with asking the right question. And I think you're well on your way there, Karen. So the question becomes, okay, I typically buy food in one pound increments and I cook it all up. And now I'm putting myself in a situation where I have all this food and it's hard for me not to eat it. So what I want to start asking, question wise, is what would be the easiest way. What would be the easiest way for me to control my portions in this context? Right. So I usually have 1 pound increments, all the rest of it. What are some alternative strategies I can use to make it easier to control my portions? So you hear that question in that question. Again, I'm presupposing that there is an easy solution. I'm priming my mind to find the best solution available to me. Now, when I ask that question, some of the things that pop up in my head, again, the question's the more important piece, Karen, because my specifics may or may not resonate with you. But again, from that question, my mind instantly goes to, you know, if you buy these, you know, a pound turkey, pound, pound ground beef is to half it. You know, you take half of it, put it in the freezer, and half of it you prepare and cook, you know, and that's going to be that idea. There is. Basically, we're looking to put barriers up. We want to make. When it comes to portion control, one of the phrases I always think about is that a. I was just thinking something else, but I want to make it easy for myself, right? So a lot of times we bring ourselves right to the situation where we've got a pound of cooked food in front of us and we say, okay, how do I control this portion? Well, at that point, that's the hardest point to control it. So I want to move earlier into the process where if I take half the food, put half in the freezer, and prepare the other half, that usually is going to be an easier way to control the portions as opposed to having a pound of cooked food in front of you. Then try not to overeat it. You see that? Right. So I'd be looking for the easier ways to control the portions, and that's probably the first thing that pops up in My head is I would take those half pounds of meat and cut them into smaller portions now, and I picked half just as a, whatever number you, you could cut it down to whatever portion makes sense for you. All right? And that might be a way that might work better for you. Okay. But you don't need, no, don't give up on the good cooking. Keep the good tasting cooking. We want that. Keep the vegetables right. That part's good too. I think the secret is to cut down the pound meat into smaller quantities. I think if you can figure out how to do that in a way that works for you, that could be a good way forward. And again, if you keep thinking about it, though, and that may or may not be a good way forward for you, but if you keep asking the question, how can I comfortably, in the most enjoyable, easiest way possible, control my portions? How could I make it easy? How could I make it natural? How can I make it automatic to control my portions? You know, and if you stay fixated on that question, your brain will start developing ideas and answers to that. And now your job is to figure out which one kind of resonates best with you. All right. Biggie says thanks for the book. You're welcome, Vicki. Yes. I'm glad you, glad you liked it. You, there's definitely someone I think who will appreciate and enjoy that book. So you are welcome. So, yeah, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them. Any weight loss questions are welcome. Been out of this. I haven't done a live and it's been like a what, a week? It's crazy. So it's been, it's been a wonderful week. I will tell you, I've had a absolutely top notch, wonderful holiday. So I hope you all have too. It has just been fun. The eating has been wild. Definitely been overeating, man. Sourdough bread meat holidays. So, yes, there's been a lot of sourdough bread eating, a lot of cookie eating. And yeah, I put five pounds on already. So, you know, again, I'm okay with it. If you were listening at all before the holiday, I was prepared for this. Again, it's, it's, it's fun to overdo it sometimes. I'm just keep it simple, you know, But I want to do it, I want to do it in a controlled way, you know, and so a control way, though sometimes the weight goes up, you know, my weight definitely went up, but I'm not freaking out about it because I know it says holiday mode and I know starting next Monday, I'll start You know, dialing back down on normal mode. I've done this so many times now. Now I'm freaking out about it. So if there's one message I could have for you, even if you put some weight on, if your eating's got a little off, off track, just relax, okay? Relaxing is always the better base to build your success on. You know, if you start freaking out, it just. It snowballs down the wrong direction. You know, I'll keep it that way. Karen says, makes sense. So many things are packaged in bulk. I can freeze it as long as the meat does not get ice on it despite wrapping it. Well, Frustrating. Yeah. Okay. So. So, you know, that's what I mean. Karen, though, as we ask these questions and we come up with ideas, we come up with new challenges. Right? So that's the point of this, though, because what I say to you, Karen, is that I would say, see, like, I think in your mind, and a lot of people do this, you're in your mind thinking, my problem is I have no control over the food. I can't portion the control. If there's a bunch of food in front of me, I'm going to eat it all. And you've been saying that's your problem probably for decades when I look at it. And I realize, I think your biggest issue is you don't know how to buy food in bulk and be able to preserve it in smaller portions in a way where it's going to stay good. Because I think you're worried about it going bad with ice on it. Okay? So I would start to say that your issue is less about the fact that you can't control and stop yourself from eating when there's a lot of food in front of you. And I would say your issue, ironically, is more that you're not. You don't really have good strategies to break down a pound of meat into smaller portions that are going to keep and last well. And if you did have good strategies that were easy that you could rely on, that you trust to portion those foods and they'd stay well, I think that would move you a far way towards dealing with your portion control. But. But this is such a great example because I always say, saying I love this is that a lot of times where the problem shows up is not where the problem was created. So Karen is probably saying, oh, my problem is that I can't control the portions when all this food's in front of me. And I wouldn't do that because I always. I back it up. I zoom out look at the big picture. And to me, the easier place to deal with that is with the portioning. Because if you figure out a good way to portion that food to smaller pieces, and let's just say, for example, you know, you pull out a third of a pound, a half a pound of well preserved frozen meat, put it out at defrost, you cook it up, it's great. Now all of a sudden, you probably feel a lot more comfortable portioning those foods. They're going to stay good. I'm not going to waste my money, all of those things. All right? Because again, not wasting food's really important to you. So we're not going to try and change that belief. I'm not going to sit here and tell you I don't worry about wasting food. I would never say that to you. So again, this is such a great example because to me, the way when I look at what Karen's saying, to me, it's more of a strategy problem than anything else. Because Karen's probably think it's a willpower problem that she hasn't been able to stop herself from eating the food and it's there. I look at it as a strategy problem that you don't have a good strategy for breaking up the 1 pound meat into smaller quantities that keep well and in the freezer. And when you've tried it in the past, they've gotten ice on them, you didn't want to eat them. Wasting food, not going to do that. And so it's not so much about not being able to stop yourself. It's about you don't have a good strategy to preserve that food in smaller portions in a way that's going to last for you. And once you figure that out, who knows, you'll be in at least it'll be a different issue. You know what I mean? But that's the point is we just keep moving ourselves down the path. Because again, whatever challenge you have, as you go to work on fixing it, you're gonna encounter a new problem. And then you go a little further, a new problem. And that's just how it is forever, you know, what's up, Julie? Julie says I went out of control with chocolate. It might be better to get it out of the house. Yeah, sure. And you know, hey, that's a real strategy. Obviously, you know, it's been crazy, so many cookies and just in my house for the last week. And obviously when it's around and it's just there, I eat so much more of it, you know, so. So that's normal. And again, just. Just have some grace with yourself. It does not matter. A week of overeating doesn't matter. Yeah. Julie says, I can't stop eating chocolate once I start. Yeah. And I get that. And I hesitate only because I. I tell you folks, I'm just gonna share what I. I do, I would do with myself. Okay? I certainly have said and have exhibited this past week. I've made so many sourdough loaves, and some of them is phenomenal. And I'm eating, and it's like I can't stop eating it, you know? But. But I don't ever really say that and believe it, because even to you, Julie, I will say I can't stop eating chocolate once I start. What if I showed up on the scene with the best chocolate you've ever tasted in your life? You've never tasted chocolates as good as I have. And I've got a box of them for you, and I put them in front of you, and I say, here's a box of the most delicious chocolate you've ever had. And I've got a deal for you. If you can eat three of these chocolates and then stop, I've got a million bucks for you. Would you be able to stop eating the chocolates, or would you have to forego the million dollars? Now, most people in that situation say, you know what? I don't give a about the chocolates. I'm gonna get the million bucks. And I believe, Julie, you'd be in the same boat. Now, I say that to you not because I'm trying to be a linguistic nitpicker here. I say it because a lot of times people very casually give up their power and will say things like, once I stop eating those, I can't stop. And while that may kind of sound a little bit true, it's never true, because you can always stop. Now, you may not want to stop. We've all been there. Okay, I want to be crystal clear. I know what you're talking about. I get it. But I like to use very, very specific language because I was. I've been out of control with bread the last week. Intentionally. I made the decision I sound like you as bread as I want this week. Okay, Now I get in those. Moses. Oh, my God. I can't stop eating it. True, it feels that way, but I always keep a level that knows if I want to stop, I can stop. And I think that's true for most people. You know what I mean? Like, again, there are people that are in the throes, the depths, the deepest depths of addictions that can't stop at all. A million bucks or nothing. Okay. But most people are not in that situation. I think it's very empowering to remind yourself of that. That, yeah, you get caught up in it. Oh, and I like it and whatever, but I think it's nice to keep a level. Says I could stop if I really wanted to. I haven't wanted to stop. I. That's how I. That's how me personally, how I think of things. And I think it's a valuable way to think about it because it's empowering. It's more empowering. It's me saying, I don't want to stop eating the chocolates. I want to eat them all. I love them. I want to eat them. Give myself a break. But you can't stop eating them if you want. Right? So. So, again, I know. I know it's nitpicky, but I know Julia can handle that. She's in the program doing this a while, but I get it, and I'm glad. I hope you enjoyed the chocolates. That's kind of my big thing. And I promise you that you'll get a handle on the chocolate. And listen, there are foods in our lives sometimes that once we get started with them, it's really difficult to stop. Right. But most of us have that situation. And so, yes, it's not just about willpower and saying no to it when it's there. It's strategically dialing those times down. Right. There are certain loaves of bread I make that are more addictive than others. I will tell you, the most addictive bread I make is cinnamon, brown sugar, sourdough. Bread is, to me at this point, is. Is the number one. Like, once that thing is out of the oven after an hour, that's the hardest one for me to stop eating. Consequently, it's the easiest one for me to Way overeat, let me put it that way. So part of my strategy for dealing with that is to not make it very often. A, right. Then, B, I'll work on having less of it and different strategies for that. But again, I will stack things. So I get what you're saying, Julie. Obviously, I hope you enjoyed the chocolates. I hope you realized how they made you feel eating them, any chocolates. And now you kind of get into the situation where you start dialing them back down again. Okay. And next holiday, you can again go into the chocolates again, if you choose to or, you know, work on dialing them down even more next year. That your choice. Okay. But you're always in control. Julie. I just started watching you. I really enjoy your message. Well, thank you. Yes, I am here every Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern. This week and last week have been a little, little wonky. This way. I won't be here tomorrow. I've got to go to a. I got a funeral I got to go to. I will be here Wednesday for a little bit. I'll be here Thursday. I, I, Thursday is kind of one of my, my favorite days to get on here. I just gotta do it. So I, I love talking to people about weight on New Year's Day, so we'll be there for that. And then next week, I'm going to be doing lives out the wazoo. So if you like these lives, get ready. MNS says, I can't stop eating. It's emotional and started six months ago. Consistency is just not happening at the moment. Okay. You know, again, I can't stop eating, you know. You know it's emotional, so that part's good. So to me, you're kind of saying two things, and I like to separate them, Right. Someone says, I can't stop eating, it's emotional. I started six months ago. Well, holy. When I, when I hear it's emotional and started six months ago, my brain just goes like a laser beam to what happened six months ago? What happened six months ago? That's what I want to know. Right? And I think that's an important question to ask, you know, because when you say, I can't stop eating again, I know you can stop eating, but I know that if there's something emotional or something crazy happened six months ago, let's figure out what it is. Because maybe you haven't dealt with it yet. Right? You say like, well, six months ago I lost my job, or six months ago I got divorced, or six months ago, you know, I lost someone important to me. Whatever. If something really big happened six months ago, we probably got to deal with that. Remember, in this culture, we've all been conditioned to use food as our main emotional management strategy. So whether we're celebrating everything's great or everything's terrible, a lot of times we're trained to go right to the food. So in my opinion, a huge part of managing your weight is learning to manage your emotions genuinely. So, mns, before I even got into the eating piece, I would absolutely want to dive a bit into what happened six months ago, what emotions you're dealing with, what strategies you have to deal with. Them. That's what I'd want to know. Because I don't think the eating is the main problem. I think this emotional thing is the main problem, and the eating is a symptom of that. And so I'd want to dive into that and understand it more. Sp how's it going? Good morning. From the Philippines. Where am I from? I'm from America, and I'm in Massachusetts. You might know Boston, kind of right near about there. Heartbreak. Okay, I'm going to say heartbreak. There you go. Okay. So if there's some heartbreak happened six months ago, again, I would put the weight in the food secondary to dealing with the emotional heartbreak more in a more genuine way. And there's a lot of ways to go about that. But. But that. That would be my main focus. Because if you can aim all of your power at dealing with the heartbreak and whatever happened six months ago and gain some sense of peace and acceptance and okayness with it, that. That by nature is going to kind of probably fix the eating anyways, but it's going to make you feel better. So. Yeah, because. Because just losing weight or gaining weight, like, if you're heartbroken, losing weight really isn't that important right now. So again, you've already made weight loss secondary. As soon as the heartbreak happened, weight loss instantly became secondary. That's why you started eating and putting. Putting weight on. So, you know, that's why I would want to aim at dealing with the heartbreak and whatever happened and just dealing with it in a more effective way. Whatever that means for you. What's up, Lois? Lois says hi. Jim. Funny about chocolate. My son. My son put some buc EE's fudge in my stocking. It was delicious. And I don't feel guilty because that one piece was enough. Thank you for inspiring these last five months. I'm down 18 pounds. I'm 71 years old. I'm on track to live the rest of my life than in healthy. All right, Lois. Nice job. I'm a screenshot. That's a great one. I love that. I love that. That's kind of the ideal. I mean, folks, that, to me, is the ideal. When you can have the food you like in relative moderation and still feel like you're in control, you know, that's what I want for all of you. And you might not be feeling that right now. Right. Again, if you're this point of the holidays, you might be feeling way off kilter, you know, and that's okay, too. But in an ideal world where we want to Be, in my opinion, is we want to be able to go into holidays, vacations, you know, special occasion modes, enjoy ourselves, eat the chocolate, eat the bread, eat the, have the wine, whatever it is that you like, do it in moderation and then right back on track. Right? That's wonderful. Nice job. Eighteen pounds down. That's wonderful. And 71, folks, I will tell you this. This is my experience. I've been doing this for over 20 years, professionally done, over 6,000 private weight loss sessions that a lot of my clients are in their 70s, you know, so. So please understand that if you've been struggling for 70 years with your weight, there's still hope. And the hope resides up in here, not. Not with another diet plan, but with a shift and change of your mindset. I work with tons of clients that are in their late 60s, early 70s, mid 70s, late 70s, and they're still changing. Okay. When you understand how to think differently and approach this whole thing differently, it becomes not so much about weight loss. It becomes about being the best version of yourself possible. And so you're absolutely able to change at any age. As long as you're breathing, you can still create change in your life. I just want you to know that. And great job. Lowe's proud of you. Vicky says, I so appreciate you saying moderation takes practice. Yeah, I appreciate you saying that, Vicki, because I always work to remind people that. Because a lot of dieters just assume that they should be good at moderation. And to them I say it's important. You all understand that knowing something and being able to do it are two totally different things. You could read a book about how to play a piano cover to cover, and you're still not going to know how to play a piano. So there's a difference between theoretical logical knowledge and actual behavioral knowledge. Right? And writing with your hand is a perfect example. You know theoretically, logically how to write. You know everything there needs to be known about how to write, but you can only do it with one hand. And so you have logical, theoretical knowledge of writing, but you only have behavioral knowledge of writing in one arm, one hand, most likely. Okay. And so program yourself then. So much what we do is converting logical, rational knowledge into behavioral knowledge that you actually do. Hope that makes sense. Karen says, I get together with friends every other Friday to play board games. The host puts out chocolates, nuts, chips, cheese at our table before we start to play. Then we take a break midway and have cake and ice cream. I can't stop eating the snacks in front of me. I'm dreading going to play board games. Okay, Karen, so I mean, again, lots of good stuff you're, you're saying here in terms of, for me being a coach, a lot of good things you're saying for areas of improvement, I would say so right off the bat, Karen, you are, you're doing what a lot of people do. Again, this is mental programming. We're always programming ourselves. We are all our own best or worst hypnotists because we're always talking to ourselves, thinking about things. We're always conditioning and programming ourselves. Okay? There's no avoiding that. It's unavoidable. You have to do it if you're a human. Okay, so what, what Karen's doing though, is she is program. She's rehearsing in her mind how this board game situation goes. And so she's gone a couple times and she's overeating. And specifically when the cake and the ice cream comes out, she can't stop eating the snacks in front of her. She can't stop. And so now in her mind, every time she thinks of the board game, she imagined herself. I can't stop eating. I just, no matter what I do, I keep eating the snacks, I keep eating the ice cre. Keep eating the cakes, I keep eating all this stuff. And that's how she thinks about board games all the time. I just keep eating everything. I'm eating everything. I'm eating everything. That's how most dieters think. So the, the answer is I have to stop eating everything. I got to stop eating. I got to go there and stop eating everything. Well, this doesn't feel good, as you hear me say this, because your subconscious mind does not understand negatives. So if I sit here and tell you, don't think about a banana. Get all your willpower going and don't think about a banana. Well, what, what are you thinking about? You're thinking about a banana. And so most dieters live in this world where they're constantly focused on what they don't want to do and they're trying to somehow get themselves to not do that thing and it doesn't work. So what I would say to you, Karen, is what would you like to do at the board game? Karen at her absolute best? Karen being 10 out of 10. Motivation, cranked up to 10. You know, focus and, you know, passion about health and happiness. Cranked up to calm and relaxed, cranked up to 10. Common, motivated, cranked up to 10 that Karen goes to board game night. Relaxed, calm, nourished, hydrated, rested that Karen walks into the board game place, how does she eat? How does it feel to play games as that Karen, when you're in control, when you're calm, when you're relaxed, how does that Karen go to the board game night? How does she go through the board game night? Now you notice this is probably the first time ever in your life, Karen, that you've imagined, even for a second, how you'd like to be, what it would feel like to be the version of you you want to be. Because you're doing the exact opposite. You ended your statement by saying, I'm dreading going to play board games. You're dreading it because every time, imagine it. We're always rehearsing things, folks. It's impossible not to rehearse. Our brain rehearses things so that when it comes time to do it, we do it on autopilot. So when Karen goes to the board games, she's already been thinking for hours and hours and hours before she even got there that she was going to eat everything. She keeps imagining herself going to the board games, eating all the snacks, eating all the cake, eating all the ice cream. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I don't want to go. I'm dreading it. Dread, dread. Karen's got herself feeling dread. She's not even at the board game. It's not until Saturday night. She's got five days until then. And for the next five days, she's going to spend hours and hours and hours imagining eating everything at this board game and getting upset at herself about it. She's rehearsing eating everything at the board game. Does this make sense to you? Do you hear what I'm saying? I appreciate you, Karen, so much sharing this, because we all know what this is like, because you're all doing this. You're rehearsing and imagining the worst case scenario because your brain does what it did. So last time I went to the board games, I ate everything. Now I'm. I got to go to the board games again. I'm going to eat everything. Never do you say, wait a second, I ate everything last time I went there. How do I want to be when I go to the board games? How do I want to walk in there? How do I want to feel while I'm playing? How do I want to eat? What do I want to do? No one's asking what they want to do. Everyone's fixated on what they don't want to do. And again, we come back to the core problem that your subconscious mind doesn't understand negatives. So most of you dieters are never giving your brain a clear direction to go in. Where do you want to go? How do you want to go? They're not asking that. So that's what I'd suggest to you, Karen. Hey, Taja, how's it going? Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you a great new year. You too. Yeah, and I hope you all had a nice Christmas, holidays, whatever holidays you may celebrate. New Year's coming up. I hope you're all ready for that. I certainly am. I'm here to help you all with that. So again, if you're not, if you're not in my world, make sure you click the link in my bio or go to program yourself then and go get the free hypnosis session that I give you. Go check that out. It is again, it is a way, a way to kick off the, the new year. And like I said, I will be giving this book away for free next week. This book's awesome. Verified. I sent out some pre copies to some people and all the feedback's been awesome. So again, it's a book I think you would want and it's going to be free next week on Kindle. So again, go make sure you go sign up for that man's got. Any questions, feel free to ask them. If you don't, that's fine too. I know we're in this weird liminal space, so it's fine if y' all don't want to think about eating and wait. I get it. I get it. Oh my God. I, I, I cannot wait. I will tell you. So the flip side, what I like to do again, I let myself go a little wild during the holidays. And I shouldn't say wild, I really don't mean that. But I crank up my consumption again, I, I lower the guidance. You know what I mean? Yeah. Don says love the book. I've been reading it very slowly and really reflecting. I appreciate that, Don. I'm glad. I knew you'd like the book. I knew all my long term people I knew would love this book because it really is good. Again, if you're in the program yourself thin world, I think you're going to love this book because it literally it lays out, it's very structured in the way this book has 40 chapters in it, right. And so it's broken down into sections which really bring you right through the program yourself then system but in a very kind of accessible, easy way. These, this book is full of hypnotic stories and kind of allegorical tales, you know, meant to teach lessons. And so it's very intentional the way it's written, but it's meant to take you through the whole program yourself then system in a very simple, accessible, easy way. And so, yeah, if you're already in the. In the system and already in the program, I think you're gonna love this. This is because you already have all the deep information about it. And this is really a different take on a different angle of it, perspective on it. Karen says. Is there an audio version? Not yet, but we're getting there. I wanted to record it last week, I guess, you know, looking back on, I would have never had the time to do it, but it didn't matter. My voice was all screwed up. I had kind of a weird cold thing last week. But good, good. This week. It probably won't get recorded till next week. But yes, there will be an audio version of it. I will be the one recording it. And yes, so. But that probably will be about. Probably the middle of January, if I had to guess. The audio version will be available. And if you buy the book, I'm pretty sure I'll just be giving it away. I have to figure out how I'm gonna do that. So I'm not gonna promise anything yet because I gotta figure out how I'm gonna do all that. I haven't really looked into it yet, so. Yeah, can't wait, though. Can't wait till everyone gets the book. Ah, there it is. Jody or Joan. All right, Joan says that. That was Jody for a second. Yeah. Joey says the book is phenomenal, subtle, deep, and accessible like crazy. Yes, I really appreciate you saying that, Joan. I. I would agree. I mean, that was the goal anyways. And yeah, I really put a lot of effort into making this. This book is for people that have no idea about program yourself then, you know, so again, there's no. You don't have to understand the whole system to get value out of it. It's built for anyone. And it's very intentionally built to be a fun read, A fun, easy read, you know, So, I mean, like, if you just sit down and read it, I mean, you could pop that book out an hour, hour and a half. You know, it's a quick, easy read. It's meant to be read multiple times. You know, again, it was. It's really. It was based on the dao de jingle, which is kind of a poetic sort of format. So it's built to be read multiple times, you know, and kind of gone back to. So Sandy says I start every night before I go to bed and every morning when I wake up knowing I can control my eating choices, but as soon as I get up, I make all the wrong decisions and eat whatever I want. Yeah, I start every night before I go to bed. Sure. Yeah. Well, you know, Sandy, I get it. That's a common one too, you know. One thing you're going for, I guess, is consistency, you know. But what I would suggest, you know, the first thing is my question. The way I'd approach the first thing I want to do is something different. And that sounds like so obvious. It's not. Please don't get lost on the simplicity of that statement. But so often humans are really unique, really unique in the way that they will. Something works for them one time and they will just do it forever. It works. One time doesn't work for 100. They keep trying it because they keep remember that first time. So when something's not working, the first thing I want to do is something different. Right. That's kind of a rule of mine. And so what I would say, Sandy, is that I would stop looking at the night before. Who gives a shit? Because, because you're, you're making yourself feel like it's, you know, that night before. You're getting real high, you know, real excited, real motivated, but it's not carrying over to the morning, okay? So for me, I would stop looking at the night before because that doesn't matter at all to you. They just restricted me on Tick tock. Boy, they're getting to be pain in the ass over there. If you even mention a book, unless you sell on Tick Tock. If you mention a book, they'll, they'll restrict your live. That's funny. Anyways, so Sandy. Yes. So the first, my, my thing would be now, by the way, I just want to make a quick point, Sandy, that you do what a lot of people are doing, which is that you're basically telling me the problem. Yeah. I mean, so it's like I wait every night before I go to bed. I'm fired up, motivated, ready to go. I wake up the next day, eat all the wrong stuff, what's going on, you know, and instead of like, like you're just describing the problem. So that, that is problem oriented thinking, right? You're telling me what the problem is. And what I'm obsessed with is solution oriented thinking. And so for me, the solution starts with breakfast for you. So I would redefine this whole thing and I would start to say I'm looking To make my breakfast healthier, cleaner, and I wouldn't try and do it every day. I would probably start with one morning a week where I would say, one morning a week I want to get up and I want to make better eating choices for breakfast. I want to find breakfast choices that are easy, enjoyable, and within my calorie nutritional ranges that are. That are ideal for me, you know, So I, I would, I would change my whole approach and dynamic and way I was thinking about it. Sandy, because you're locked in. I. I can already tell, Sandy, you have been singing this same story for probably decades. You've probably been starting every night before you go to bed and waking up every morning eating everything for as long as you can remember. So that narrative is. It comes to define you. So I'd want to let go of that narrative as fast as possible. And I would fixate on. I want to come up with one breakfast once a week that's relatively easy and comfortable. I get myself to do that. Maybe it's Mondays. I'll start Mondays off with a breakfast that's healthier and more my calorie ranges than I've been doing and see what happens, you know, and then I'd go to work on that. I don't know if that's making sense to you. Yeah. Mickey says, what happened to freedom of speech on Tick Tock? Yeah, yeah, I've been on Tick Tock a while and I will tell you, I can't say, I can't say the things that have happened and made it better. And I don't think that. I think it's going to get worse if I had to guess with all that stuff. But they're protecting everything, so they don't want anyone, any traffic to leave, I guess. All right, I gotta get out of here. So, again, I hope you all having a super week. Get some rest when you can. Stay hydrated as much as you can. Again, ride this out. Things are gonna go back to normal, all right? I promise you. If you're not in my world, make sure you click the link in my bio. Go get the free hypnosis session I give you. I gotta. I got a bunch of stuff for you, so. So again, go check that out if you are. If you like this. I'm here every Monday through Friday around noon Eastern. I'm gonna be doing a ton of lives next week. I'm gonna be live all the time because again, I'm going to be giving this book away for free. Oh, I can say it now. They restricted me on Tick tock but oh, what am I gonna do? It's funny. How am I gonna do that? I'll have to think about how I'll have to sneakily they're gonna restrict me. Okay, well we'll see, we'll see there. Either way, I'll be doing a lot of lives and I'll be giving these away next week on Kindle, so so again I will remind you of that let you know and if you like this, it's also a podcast. It's program yourself then you can go any podcast platform and listen to it anyway, however you like. All right. And yes, thank you Julie. I I yes, can't wait to read the book. You're gonna love it, Julie. I I know you will. So yes, I stick with Instagram. I'm on all the other platforms anyway so I what tick tock does to me but yeah, it is kind of funny that they they just restrict it but who gives a so all right, there it is everyone have a super duper day and we'll talk soon. Bye everyone.
