Halloween Success Strategies

A live Yourself Thin podcast session by Jim Katsoulis focused on practical strategies for managing Halloween candy and staying on track with weight goals. Jim emphasizes moderation (the 'all-or-something' mindset), hydration, mindful/gourmet consumption of candy, and cognitive techniques (reading ingredients, reframing cravings). The episode includes audience Q&A about program details, saggy/loose skin after weight loss, technical issues with the Circle app, and promotions for Jim’s programs (hypnosis, Goal Weight Blueprint, Jim AI).

Everyone, welcome to today's program Yourself Thin podcast. Today, we're talking about Halloween success strategies. It's officially Halloween, and hopefully.
You'Re having a good Halloween or planning on having a good one. And when it comes to Halloween, the big thing we're talking about is candy, Right? So let's talk about how to approach it. Now, before we do this, one thing I want to make clear, as I like to do, is that in program yourself, then there is no right or wrong. There is only what works for you. So I'm going to share some strategies with you. Some of them may work for you and some may not. Okay? You have to figure out which ones fit best for you. And I would urge you as well, with the ones that you feel like don't fit, you play around with them, tweak them a little bit, see if you can make them work for you. So the very first thing I'll mention right off the bat is water. Water across the board. Now, even if you're not eating any candy, drinking more water is always going to benefit you. But of course, if you are eating candy, the water is going to help mitigate some of the effects of the sugar. Sugar can be dehydrating. And so when you start drinking more water, you digest the candy quicker, you kind of assimilate it faster, and get yourself back to normal quicker. And there's more benefits than that. But so water is probably number one that I always feel like is my Halloween pro tip is to drink more water during the Halloween season, you know, again, always. And then if you're eating more candy, it's especially important. Now, the next one is how do you want to approach candy? Okay. So I think a lot of times when you're a dieter, a lot of people approach Halloween and they just say, no, no candy. I'm not gonna have any. And that's obviously one strategy. And that can work for some people, but for a lot of people, it doesn't work. Okay? And so if that's what you want to do, then knock yourself out. Go ahead. Abstain from all candy. Be my guest. Okay. But everyone knows about that approach. What I want to talk to you about is that middle ground where you eat candy but you don't go crazy with it. Right? How do I eat candy in a more moderated way? And that's a lot of what we focus on. And program yourself then. And the first step to eating candy more moderately is recognizing that you can eat candy more moderately. Again, most dieters are kind of living an all or Nothing mindset. And so they approach Halloween with this all or nothing mindset. I'm not gonna eat any candy. And then as soon as they eat one piece of candy, they're eating all the candy, Right? So what we like to do in Program yourself then is the all or something mindset where we, in this case, we don't wanna do all. We don't eat all the candy, but we're gonna eat some candy, but we're not gonna eat all the candy. Right? We wanna kind of monitor what we're doing here. So it's just not wildly out of control. We want to minimize the damage with the candy and we wanna get as much enjoyment as possible as we can outta the candy. And once you begin looking at it that way, you start to realize that the most enjoyment you can get out of the candy if you're going to eat it is to eat some of it moderately. And I think if you approach it this way, it's very interesting because a lot of times we think, I'm going to eat all the candy and really enjoy it, or I'm not going to eat any of the candy, I'm going to feel deprived. But there's a sweet spot in the middle because when you eat all the candy, that's not really that pleasurable. When you don't eat any of the candy, that's not pleasurable. So that middle ground is really the sweet spot where we eat some of the candy in a more moderated way. So we get to enjoy the candy, but we're also not stuffing ourselves with it. We're not getting way off track, you know, and so that is an option that's available to you now. Again, if you're going to start to moderate your candy, you start to look for strategies to do that and so start to notice your patterns. And one pattern specifically is, you know, if I go and grab a piece of candy, I'll grab one piece of candy and I can have more candy after if I want, but I'm wait 15 minutes. So these are just potential strategies. And of course you have to adjust them to work for you. But this is a space I think you're gonna get much better results in. As we kind of live in this, this middle space where we're not saying no to the candy, we're not saying or meet all the candy. We're in this middle space. And when we do that, what happens is even during Halloween, when we're eating candy, we're practicing moderation because in my opinion, that is pretty much the One of the key skills you're gonna learn eating wise that's gonna support you getting to your goal weight is learning how to eat more moderately. And I think a lot of people don't really practice eating moderately. Right? We got kind of portion control, which is again, is very kind of. I don't know, you're just giving kind of these ideas. But the soft skills of portion control, the soft skills of moderating, managing your mindset, your emotions, your moods in order to eat more moderately. And this is what I spend a lot of my time working on and I work my clients with, is how can you eat more moderately in your life? And when we get into situations like Halloween or holidays or vacations, those are great times to practice eating moderately ironically. Okay? So it's not. We don't go in those situations, think we're eating perfect. We go into them focused on eating moderately. And once you wrap your head around this, I find that oftentimes it's a lot easier to eat moderately than you think it is. I know a lot of people say, well, I can't eat moderately. I eat one candy, I eat all the candy. Yeah, but you have learned to be that way because you've existed in an all or nothing mindset for so long. If you've been dieting and trying to lose weight for decades, it's has conditioned you to think in an all or nothing mindset. And so the fact that you've been in an all or nothing mindset your entire life and that you don't know how to moderate and eat more moderately. Well, no shit. You've never worked on it. You've never really focused on eating moderately. You've either focused on eating perfectly or you're not thinking about it at all. And so a lot of times eating moderately is a lot easier because it's not about being perfect, it's just about being better. And so this is what I mean. Now we come back to our own specific situations. You know, if he goes to the candy thing and usually grabs three candies, you know, the goal to improve becomes, well, I'm going to go and I'm going to start grabbing one candy, two candies. We just want to make things better. And a lot of times making things better is a lot easier and a lot more comfortable than trying to make things perfect. All right? And so Halloween's a great time to focus on that. Now let's talk about when you do actually eat the candy. How can we actually utilize the candy? Well, let's talk about candy cravings. First, right? So that's. The next thing is candy cravings. How do you deal with candy cravings when they come? One real simple trick. I'm not saying this works all the time, but it starts to plant the seed that is going to blossom into more control over your candy cravings. And it's this. That when you're craving a certain candy, instead of thinking of the candy as the marketing and as the memories that you've had with it, go and look at the ingredients of that candy, right? Go look at the package and go find the ingredients and look and read the ingredients of it. That can be a very sobering exercise. You know, I always say, you know, for me, for a lot of years, and I got to say, it's really. It's faded away quite a bit for me. But one of the big ones was that we. Peanut butter cups, right? So I used to love peanut butter cups. And so if I think about peanut butter cups, you know, I think about the memories of when I was a kid, you know, I think about the marketing and the colors and how much fun it is and all the rest of it. And I crave it, I desire it, but when I look at it through the ingredients lens, right? And I go and read the ingredients, you know, it's words I can't pronounce, things that don't sound very good. And it has this sobering effect that kind of wakes you up a little bit, snaps you out of the marketing memory trance that I tend to go in, and you see it for what it is. Now, again, I'm not saying this works 100%, but it's something that starts to nudge your brain into thinking about the candy differently, you know, so that you're not just existing in that marketing and memory space, but you're now looking at the reality of what you're actually putting into your body. And it can be an interesting exercise in consequence from doing that. Okay, though. But now when you actually eat the candy, how can you benefit from that? And my suggestion to you is that when you're eating the candy, is that you eat it like a gourmet, okay? So whatever you're going to eat, whether you plan to eat it or whether you're eating more of it than you want to, it doesn't matter when you actually eat the candy. One of the best strategies I've seen to actually reduce candy cravings while you eat candy is to eat it like a gourmet. And you take a look at it, you know, you take it out of the package. You look at it, right, appreciate the texture of it, how it looks right, the visual appeal. You could smell it. Bite into it slowly. Be very mindful. Feel the candy on your tongue. Feel the candy as you chew it on your teeth and how it feels on your teeth. Really feel yourself consuming this candy in detail. And a lot of times doing that has a very powerful effect, because what it does is it makes you realize this candy's not as pleasurable and enjoyable as I thought it was. Now, sometimes it will be okay, sometimes it will be. But most of the time, you're going to find that the actual experience of eating the candy, when you're mindful and aware of it as you do it, you're going to find that a lot of times it's not nearly as enjoyable as you thought it was. And sometimes you're going to be mindful of it and you're like, this isn't even good. I don't really even like this. And when you start doing this again, we're not fighting with ourselves. We're not forcing ourselves and saying we can't have it. We're not doing any of that. We're taking our energy and we're putting it into mindfully consuming the candy. So no judgment, no guilt, because if you mindfully consume that candy, I can almost guarantee you that one or two things are going to happen. One, you're going to eat less candy because you're going to eat slower. And by eating more mindfully, more slowly, eating like a gourmet, you're just naturally going to consume less candy statistically. And B, you're going to start to think of that candy differently because this is another exercise that pulls you out of the marketing and the memories of the candy and pulls you into the present moment of it. Just like when you look at the ingredients, this is a very similar experience that you pull yourself out of the marketing and the memories, and you pull yourself into the actual experience of it. And again, the experience when you really pay attention to how these candies interacting your mouth and the effect they have on you and how it feels in your teeth, how it feels on your tongue, when you really step into that, a lot of times you realize it's not as enjoyable as I thought. I don't really like this. And that's what starts to kickstart you on a completely different path, because you're not fighting against the candy anymore. You're starting to rethink it, reframe it. You're changing your associations to it. And a lot of times these associations reduce cravings and all of these things kind of contribute to you. Again, it's not this diet thing where I'm just not going to eat the candy. It's this strategic plan to reduce candy consumption as we move forward comfortably and easily. And here are some suggestions to do that. So I hope you're able to test some of these out and see how they work for you, because that's program yourself. Then we're always experimenting. We're trying different things out in search of the easiest, most enjoyable, most comfortable strategies that get us the results we want. And so hopefully you get a sense of that here with these strategies. And so if you want to go deeper into this as well, though, click the link in my bio or go to program yourself. Then if you're on Facebook, you can see I put the link in there. Go get that free hypnosis session. Okay? It's called the New Thing Me. It's a kickstart session. It's completely free. It's about 10 minutes. And you'll get to experience firsthand what hypnosis feels like and the power can have on you, you know, when you use it. And on top of that, I got a training for you. I've got a whole free community that's going to open up next week that you'll be able to go into. So there's a lot of cool stuff. It's all free. Go check it out. And if you have any questions about weight loss, feel free to ask them. I am here to help you as best I can because again, this is what I do all day and night, is I help people manage their weight so they can live at their goal weight. And again, it is a mission for me. So I'm happy to help you all out if I can as well. So yes, feel free to ask those questions. How's it going, Lori? Lori? Yes. Thank you for your suggestions. You're welcome. Lori. Lori, I sent you an email yesterday, so I hope you saw that I've been having some weird. Oh my goodness. I'm in a technical black hole. I don't know what's going on. Hopefully it's coming to an end. I'm resolving some of it quickly here, I hope. But for those of you I know a lot of new people joined the program this week and I apologize. The Circle app is acting crazy. There was an issue in my email. I don't know if it had to do with last week's big. There was a big. In the tech world, there was a huge thing that Went on with an Amazon. Amazon runs most the Internet, just so you know. They not only are Amazon, Amazon, the company, the bookstore, the store they buy everything from, but they're also. They run Amazon web servers. It's pretty much the Internet. And so anyways, they had a huge down shutdown last week, and it affected a lot of things. So anyways, I think this is echoes of that. So anyways, I did email you yesterday, Lori, and so we can check that out. Yes, I was thinking about you, so I'm glad you're here. Oh, you got it. Perfect. Great. So, yeah, so I hope to see on one of those calls, get. Get on those coaching calls because they're super duper valuable. Right. But yeah, so. Oh, my God. So if you're in the program again, thank you for having patience. I will say this is one of the first times with the Circle app that it's annoying what's happening. And I'm sure it's just some weird little glitch that will get figured out. They usually do. But the good news is that throughout this process, I have work. Figured out a workaround. So if you're using the Circle app and it's acting weird for you, and this seems to be affecting only people with iPhones, but if you're pressing on an audio button, it's kicking you out of the app. I do have a workaround for you, so I'll post that as soon as I get out of here. And basically what you'll do is you'll. You'll access Circle, but you'll just do it through your browser for now. Okay. So it's still on your phone, but you're just gonna do it through your browser, log in through there, and. Yeah, that's that. And it'll still work. Okay. So I apologize for that. And we're getting it fixed as we speak. It's being worked on, so hopefully that'll get. But yes, anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them. How's Halloween going for you? I know Halloween is such a crazy time. And it's, you know, some people are thriving through it, some people struggling through it. Either way, you know what I mean? It's. We still move forward with it, but if you're struggling with Halloween, free. Feel free to share your struggles. If you're thriving for Halloween, feel free to share your. Your successes. I personally have. I'm kind of in the middle somewhere, I would say. No, I'm not in the middle. I mean, I'm. I'm. Geez, you know, everything's so relative. My. My candy consumption has gone down so dramatically. But.
I. I personally, I don't eat much candy anymore. I really don't eat much candy at all ever. Except for around Halloween, I will kind of give myself a week or two to candy, you know, and it's always an interesting experience and I learn a lot and I remind myself of a lot, and I program myself with a lot of things. You know, there's a lot of benefits I get out of it. So I utilize Halloween and the candy eating, you know, for my ultimate success.
And that's what I encourage my clients to do as well. But, of course, it's everyone's choice. I mean, I have some clients that aren't gonna eat any candy this Halloween. I have some clients that are eating, you know, candy this Halloween. So, again, it's. There's no right or wrong when it comes to weight loss. It's really figuring out what works for you, which I think is a really important message, because I think most diets really condition you to think that there's kind of like one way to do it and you have to do it this way. And most diets have these rigid, strict rules on them. And you try, and I always say, metaphorically, like, it's like you're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole when you try and force yourself to follow these diets, because oftentimes there's just no flexibility to them, you know. And so when you find, you know, certain, say you do intermittent fasting, right, and you're able to do no eating for 14 hours, then you start getting really hungry, right? So instead of just cutting the eating window or the. The fasting window from 16 to 14 hours, which may be comfortable for you, dieters feel like they have to force themselves to that last two hours, and that's what causes them to ultimately quit, you know, because it's just too much for them at that point. And I think, you know, you can apply this to virtually any diet. Every diet pretty much is pretty rigid, you know, and it's difficult to find your own way within that diet a lot of times. So, you know, one of my general rules of thumb is that if you can adapt whatever plan you're going to do to yourself, you know what I mean, to your lifestyle, your preferences, your situation, your genetics, your unique being. And so I think that the plan and strategy you use to succeed is going to have to be unique to you. You know, it's going to be customized to you, right? What's up, John? John? Says, can you talk about what you see as the health benefits of living at goal weight? A lot of us will still will see flabby skin. Yeah, I get that. I remember when I, when I had lost, I lost over £50 30 years ago, but I remember when I first lost the weight, I had stretch marks, you know, like around my armpits and around my, my back and my waist. And I wasn't thrilled with that, you know, and so the flabby skin and the, the saggy skin is, is a thing, you know, and I'm not going to sit here and sugarcoat it. It's a real issue for some people, you know, So I, I want to acknowledge that it's a real thing. That being said, I'll say what I say to pretty much everyone with this. And this does happen a lot, okay? This is a common thing. And I will tell you what I say to these people. And I don't want to come ac across as harsh because, because I don't mean it that way. But what I do mean is that.
Underneath your fear perhaps of flabby or saggy skin is a choice that's being made. And I like to pull that choice out into the light of day and make it intentionally. And this is the question, which will you choose? Will you choose to be at a healthier, lower weight with saggier skin, or do you choose to be overweight where your skin's more filled out and this is the choice that's in front of you? Now, I understand it may not be the choice you want to have. I understand that. And I think this gets to the heart of a lot of diet marketing and a lot of the problem with diet mindsets is that dieting has really sold you kind of a bunch of bullshit. Dieting is always trying to sell you this fairy tale story that you're going to lose the weight and everything's going to be amazing, you're going to look amazing, you're going to be thrilled with your body, your relationship is going to improve, you're make more money, you're going to be smarter, right? And it's like, it's just not true. Now I sit here as a weight loss coach, not to discourage you all, but, but to just be honest with you, because I think this is really important because again, I always go to the core statistic of 95% of dieters that lose weight put it back on. So that's where everything for me starts from. How do we maintain the success? And I think a big part of maintaining the success is having rock solid motivation. And I think a lot of people that get to their goal weight put it back on. Because being at your goal weight is not as amazing as you thought. And it's more amazing than you thought. What do I mean by that? Mean that if you just think about visually how you're going to look, you're never going to be able to lose enough weight. Let me give you a sample. What I mean, I always joke that I can't lose enough weight to look like Brad Pit. You know what I mean? Like, I can't lose enough weight to make my hair grow the way I'd like it to grow. You know what I mean? It's just. It is what it is. And we all have kind of limitations to, you know, our physical selves, what we would consider. We would like to be better looking or different. Okay?
And I think we have to acknowledge that because I think a lot of times we have fear of that. I think we have a fear, well, even if I lose the weight, my skin is still going to be saggy. And that fear of acknowledging that sabotages us. So we would rather live with the. The dream and the hope that maybe someday we'll lose the weight look amazing. But deep down we think, well, even if I lose the weight, I'm still not going to be happy. My body, which is a real thing. So we have to look at it honestly and say, okay, even if I have flabby skin, am I going to make this decision? Because as soon as you ask that question, you force your brain to go beyond the skin, beyond the aesthetics, beyond the superficial. And I think once you do that, and this is a core part of programming yourself, then is to get to the deep, deep motivation. So for me, you know, a lot of, you know, my story, my father died at 54 of a heart attack. Okay? So for me, my motivation to lose weight really is primarily about living as long as I can have the best quality of life I can. A aspect of it is absolutely, I want to look a certain way. That's definitely a piece of it, but it's a small piece of it compared to I don't want to die at 54 if I can prevent it. You see what I mean? So for me, weight loss is intricately wrapped with my longevity and my how many times I'll be able to spend with my kids, how many, you know, dinners I'll be able go with my wife. You know what I mean? Like, that's what weight loss means to me. And so if you Said to me, well, okay, you can still be at your weight, but now I'm going to know. Give you 25% more saggy skin. I wouldn't like that. But would I say it? Who cares now? And I'm gonna put the weight on who cares? What's the point? I would not. I would not. I would walk around with saggy skin knowing that, that this weight. I believe I'm the healthiest I can be. I believe at the weight I'm at, I'm giving myself the best chance to live as long as I can, have the best quality of life while I'm here, and to look the way I want to look down the list. So I, I, I respect that question and I understand it, but I think we all have to get to that point. I always say this, that I believe weight mastery is about two things, action and acceptance. I think they're equally as important. Certainly you have to take new actions to get yourself down to a weight that you want to be at. That's half of it. The other half, in my opinion, is you're going to have to accept who you are. Because I think a big part of dieting is built around the idea that you're going to get to your goal weight and everything's going to magically be better. I'm here to tell you, get to your goal weight and the same shit's there, you feel better for a while, and then you normalize to it. Then you get the same relationship issues, the same money issues, the same, you know, issues with your boss. Whatever is challenging your life now is still going to be there. The weight doesn't fix that. And so I think we have to look at these things with our eyes wide open and make the decision and make it starkly obvious to us that I can choose to be overweight and have more taut skin, or I can lose weight, be healthier, and have saggier skin, and make the choice from there. And then once you make that choice, hopefully make the choice to, you know, again, whatever choice works best for you. So I don't give a shit which choice you make. Actually, let me back that up. Whichever choice is right for you, if it's the choice with the saggier skin, then we go to work on reframing it. So I don't love this. I don't love the saggy skin. I don't love the stretch marks. But small price to pay. Small price to pay to be healthier, happier, more in control of my life, my health, and to set myself up Potentially to live longer and be happier. So I hope that helps out. You know, Lois says, so far I am not craving the candy and don't want any in the house where I live. I don't get many kids to the house before. I would still buy the candy because this year they might come. I get it, Lois. I totally get it, right? We. We can make all these mental gymnastics to get the candy in the house. I do them, too. And again, I do them and I think it's funny. I literally have one right here. I will show you. I. I've got a candy bar right here. And for those of you that know me, the most ridiculous part of this whole thing is this right here where it says ghoulish green, you know, because if you, if you know anything about me, you know, I'm really against, like, chemicals and in the food, and here I am eating green candies. It's like, it just. It's so illogical, right? It's so counterintuitive. But here I am. Because humans are illogical and counterproductive, me included. But it is funny that mental gymnastics we go through the candy and foods where we struggle with sometimes. So. But great job, Lois. I think that's, that's great this year that you're feeling that way. Yeah. Lois says, I'll take the saggy skin. I would, too. Again, I'm not saying I, I get it. I'm not sitting here trying to be. I, I'm very empathetic to it. I've worked with a ton of people with this exact issue intimately, so. So I, I understand this issue and I don't. Oh, just. You don't have to deal with this. You don't give a. No, I, I get it. But listen, we've all got stuff we've got to deal with. You know what I mean? And you've got to make that choice because that's what you're doing. Because to me, if you're scared of saggy skin, if you're scared of it, you're scared what's going to happen. If you're just scared of it and you're not going to deal with that fear and address it, most likely you're going to subconsciously sabotage yourself. That's what I think. That's what I see most of the time. So I want to pull that belief out, look at it, and make a clear decision and move forward with it. So what's up, Kim? Kim says, I thought that if I, if, If I lost a lot of weight, my face would get very wrinkly. But 105 pounds down in the carnivore diet, my skin looks amazing and I look younger and no wrinkles. Great job, Kim. Yeah, and that too. You just never know too. And I will tell you a couple things happen a lot of times. Number one, when you start losing weight, you may have saggy skin and it may tighten up over time.
You don't know. We don't know. You know what I mean? Again, every seven years, your body's cells completely replace, regenerate, you know, so you don't know what's going to happen. If you might have saggy skin for a while and it might tighten up a bit. Number two, you might have saggy skin and you might normalize to and not give a and realize that you wear clothes 99 of the time and you still feel and look better out in the world. And that over that, that's way better. You know, there's a lot of things, there's a lot of things that you can get better with. All right, Wellness says, what's the cost of the program? Well, I'll tell you a little secret. I'm going to do it this week. This is, I always say this is the last time, but I really think this is the last time because the price is going up. The only reason I'm even offering right now for 3,297dollars, which is the deal of the absolute century. It really is. This program is so, it's so complete and awesome. I know I'm saying that. But it's really just the hypnosis program alone. You get a hypnosis program with it. That's the number one hypnosis program on the planet. There's no program like this. Believe me, I know. It's a eight week program. You get hypnosis sessions. It's amazing. It's really good. That alone's worth the price of the program. But then on top of that, you get again the goal weight blueprint. You get the digital version of this. So you get this book here, the goal weight blueprint. You go through. This is your roadmap, customized roadmap for how to live your goal weight and you get the program yourself. Then technique how to program your mind so that you can run it. And so you get all that for $297 at the moment. Again, that price is going up. I might get maybe one more week because I gotta make a. I gotta make a training video with the new price on it. That's literally the only thing keeping me from raising the price. And I've been working on my book so much that I haven't gotten around to it. But I'm almost done with this book here. So that's the first thing I'm going on to is making the new promo video with the new price. So I am going to. I'm gonna run like a Halloween special, help people get off the Halloween candy. And so I'll offer that probably. I'm gonna start it today and I'll run it probably till next Sunday. And that is it. That is literally it because right. That, that next week I'm literally, I'm working on the new video, the new pricing and that's it because I. Yeah, I've redone a lot of my pricing and yeah, that's one of the ones. So anyways, yeah, but right now you can get it for that and if you can't find the link, just shoot me an email at Jim, program yourself then.com and I will.
Get you the link. But you'll see it if you're on my email list, which you should be. I will send an email out this weekend too. I'll probably send a bunch of emails out for it. Judy says can you order the soft copy? Yeah, Judy, yeah, if you, if you go on the Circle app, I gotta send one out. I know someone just ordered one of these. I'm sorry, I'm gonna get it out today actually. But if you go into the Circle app and scroll down, you'll see the, the little post for this thing and you can buy this. It's 40 bucks. That covers shipping and everything. And I'll send this out to you. This is awesome. Again, you get the digital version for free in the program and once the price goes up, this will be included with the program. But for right now, it's just, it's an added cost, you know, but it's awesome, you know, especially if you like kind of like tactile things. It's cool. I mean again, like I said, you get it, include the program, but you can't really get a sense of what's going on. This to me, man, this book I can't even show you. But whatever, it's just, it's, it's kind of see that way. This book's beautiful. This is what I spent the first kind of seven, eight months of the year working on and I love it. Now the second book coming out, anyone be able to buy this is just for clients right now. But yeah, the book, like I said, kind of the final phases of that can't wait to get it all into your hands.
Bill says would you please talk about what the next step is after the program yourself then system. As I understand there's eight weeks of material. Also. Is the gym AI released? Yeah. Okay, great. So yeah, the program yourself then. I mean it's really a lifetime program. You get lifetime access to it. Okay, I want to make that crystal clear. You get lifetime access to all the programs and updates. So I update this program every year. I. I'll update trainings and everything in it just keeps getting better and better and better. And you get lifetime access to all the upgrades forever. So you get access to again the goal weight blueprint and the updates to it, the program yourself then technique, how to use that and the updates to it and the program yourself then hypnosis, the goal weight hypnosis system. You get access to all that and forever. Forever and ever. Jim AI, you get access to for eight weeks. Currently you're kind of just getting access to it all the time, but eventually you're going to get eight weeks of access to gym AI, eight weeks of access to the live weekly calls we have. And. Yeah, and so afterwards, if you want to continue in the program yourself then universe and be supported, there is a program called the Thrive program. And what that does, you continue to get daily hypnosis sessions every day, Monday through Friday and every weekend every week you get a new hypnosis session and a lesson. So it's basically like you just kind of continue with the program, but it's new updated content each week, kind of relevant to where we're at. So like this week we had Halloween success strategies and hypnosis sessions around that. So. So if you want to continue in that world, that goes. And that's a very reasonable fee too. So anyways, that's kind of what continues there. And I got again, that's something I'll be focusing on the next couple months too is really dialing in the Thrive program. I got some cool things planned even with Jim AI. That's one of the new things we just released this week is Jim AI. A message goes out every night, just kind of connecting with you, checking in with you. And I appreciate all of you that kind of signed up for that to kind of give it to test run. I hope you've been enjoying it. And even this week alone I just made a huge upgrade to it. So next week, if you haven't signed up for that, if you're in the Circle app, go click that link and go make sure you get the gym AI messages, and what will happen is next, next Sunday, you'll start getting the new messages, and I think they're even better. And again, they're just going to nudge you to go talk with Jim AI. Jim AI, by the way, is my clone. So I made an AI clone. Oh, what?
Oh, I see.
Tick tock. Just busting my chops about warnings. Anyways, so, yeah, Jim AI is my clone. And so basically, I literally took over 10 million words of mine. Right. So I took all my podcasts, all my coaching sessions over the last two years, which, by the way, should give you a sense of how much I talk about weight loss. I literally, the last two years, 10 million words went into this thing. So it's amazing. It's like talking to me. It's really nuts, you know, and so you can chat with it or you can literally talk to it, like on the phone, you know, and it sounds just like me. It's crazy. And so you get 24. 7 access to that. And again, that's something that's quickly coming out of the pike too, is that Jim AI is going to be kind of weaved into the program, kind of checking in with you and guiding you through it. And it'll. It'll Jimmy. I will literally talk you through whatever your challenges are when you're feeling down, kind of make you feel better. Strategies, mindset stuff, all this stuff. And again, it's just 24. 7 access to it. It's always right there. You can use it. So, yeah, that'll be there too. Melancholy says my goal is to be a loose, skinny ambassador. I don't want surgery. I'm okay with looking at my skin as the scars I gave myself after recovering from self abuse. I have to have the skin regardless. I think that's a great. I just look forward to be being empty. Yeah. Okay. Melancholy. I think that's wonderful mindset, you know, and we got to do mindset work. We all have to do mindset work. Some have to do more intense mindset work than others, granted, you know, but I think that's a very noble goal, and I have absolutely seen that too. I say, you know, people have to deal with the loose skin. I've seen a huge percentage of them embrace it. It becomes part of them. It becomes a trophy, a testament to what they did. Positively. You know, I know sometimes it's hard to wrap your head around that, but I see that that is a very normal response. You have to understand, you know, humans have what we call a emotional immune system. And so what happens is it kind of regulates our emotions to our reality. And so, yeah, at first, you know, when you're losing the weight, you get this fairy tale in your head. And when you start to realize it's not a fairy tale, I can tell you, I mean, I literally am here at my goal weight. And I'm actually, I'm saying this to brag, but this is what happens sometimes when you really dial in the system. But over the last, like, year or so, I dropped another five pounds. I didn't even do intentionally do it. So I was at my goal. I was happy. Everything else I dialed in my lifestyle some more that kind of changed some eating things and I went with down five pounds. Even still, it's not unusual for me to, like, you know, get ready, get in the shower, and I'm not happy with things. You know what I mean? Like that. I don't mean to bum you all out, folks. Let me take it to an extreme. I. I had a. I. A couple years ago. I was training coaches in the program yourself then method. And one of the coaches, she had been a competitive bodybuilder. And I asked her, I said, what was. What's it like the second you're about to walk on stage? I'm like, because they aim at that moment for, well, I mean, obviously their life and years, but especially, like months, they really dial down to that moment to be in a peak state for that hour, right? I said, what's it like that. That second before you go on stage and you're in this peak state? What's. What's it feel like? And she goes, I just noticed some flaws, you know, And I was like, wow. I'm like, you know, that's the human brain. No matter what the situation is, your brain's relative, not absolute. And what that means is, you know, you could lose £200 and your brain normalizes to now being the lower weight and now says, oh, well, now I got loose skin and I got this, or now I don't like this. It doesn't say like, holy shit, I can't believe I'm 200 pounds lighter. It doesn't think that way. It just starts to habituate to the reality now, and you live within that. So that's something you got to recognize because you're going to get to your goal weight and you're going to be excited at first and you're going to normalize to it. This is. It's called hedonic adaptation. And you experience when you got like a new Car, right? When you get a new car, you're like, it doesn't have to be brand new, but just a new car to you. And you're like, oh, it's exciting, my new car. But eventually it just turns into your car, you know what I mean? We just normalize to it. And the same thing happens with your goal weight in your body. This is why I always say in program yourself. Then we take the weight loss and wrap it in personal development. Because the weight itself, the goal weight on its own, is not going to be enough motivation for most people. Because on top of that, like, once you get to your goal weight, most people trade the excitement and the pleasure of the food for the excitement and pleasure of the scale going down. So what do you do once you get to your goal weight? Because now you don't have the food, now you don't have the scale either. So where are you getting your excitement and your, your enjoyment from?
Right. For me, it's in the personal development piece. I love getting better and improving and optimizing. Improve my eating, improve my lifestyle, improve my mindset, you know, adding this new little habit in bad, this new consistency, making this better. I'm obsessed with it. And that's why I'm as motivated, if not more now than I was 30 years ago when I was losing the weight. I'm just fired up because I love it. Because what I'm doing is I'm not just focusing on living at a certain weight. I'm looking at, how can I live at my goal weight in the easiest, most enjoyable way possible? How can I feel better? How can I make this more enjoyable for myself? And so I just keep coming up with new strategies and ideas and it's very addictive. I just love it. And so that's what drives me forward, you know? And I think most dieters don't have that sort of motivation, right? They're really just looking at their scale, you know, with the way it's doing. Yeah, what's up? X says hello. I started eating real foods. No. Deep fried for three days now and I lost 300 grams and feeling great. Nice job. Thank you so much, Jim. Now I always think, how would I feel after eating before I choose to eat something? That's. That's wonderful. Yeah, that's a great question. I think it's the, the key question, you know what I mean? How will I feel? One of the biggest questions you can ask. And once you do that, you know, it really does change your focus a bit. So that is key. So, yes, I'm gonna tick tock here. Tick tock. There's. They just restricted me because I was talking about program yourself then too much, I guess. Guess you can't do that.
Funny. What's up, Vicki? Yep. Happy Halloween. We're talking all about Halloween here in the beginning. So I'm gonna get out of here, actually. I got a lot of stuff to do and I'm gonna get. I'm gonna get doing it. I got a lot of technical stuff I'm working on. So glad I just hopped on here. I wanted to say hi to everyone. Hope you all have a nice Halloween again. Water, water, water. Right. Drink more water if you're eating more candy. Drink more water if you're not eating more candy. But again, more water is going to really support a healthier Halloween for you. And I hope you enjoy it. Whatever you end up doing, you know, enjoy yourself today and realize it's just a day or a couple days and get back on track. If you're not in my world, make sure you get in my world. Click the link in my bio, Go to program yourself then dot com. Go. Go get that free hypnosis session I gave you. Watch the training I made for you. Get in my world. The free Circle app should open up next week. I am in a little bit of a technical issue with him right now, but I'm assuming it's going to be resolved. And we'll. We'll be over there. So go check that out. I'm here every Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern. So if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. And if you like listening to this anytime, you can go search any podcast platform, program yourself then and it'll show up. And you can listen to this anytime you choose to. So, all right, everyone, have a super duper weekend and we'll talk soon. Bye. It.
