Have You Done Everything To Lose Weight?

This is a YouTube video titled "Have You Done Everything To Lose Weight?" created on July 11, 2025. The content likely discusses weight loss strategies or personal health advice, but no conversational dialogue or multiple speakers are indicated in the excerpt.
Foreign. Welcome to today's program yourself, Thin Podcast. Today we're talking about, have you really done everything to lose weight? I know people say that pretty flippantly, but I don't find it to be very true. So this is important because if in your mind, you think you've tried everything to lose weight and nothing has worked, very quickly, that road leads you right to, no matter what I do, I can't lose weight. And you have to be on guard against that belief, because the second you believe that no matter what I do, I can't lose weight, you're going to give up. That's basically the language of giving up, right? Because why would you do something if you don't believe it's going to work, right? If you think you're going to fail no matter what you do, then why try? Okay, and this is where I find a lot of dieters end up, is they end up in this place where I've tried everything. I tried Keto, I tried Weight Watchers. I tried that one 15 times. I tried that one. I tried that one. And so what happens is you look at all these different diets you tried and you say, well, look at tried them. All, right? But what if I told you they're all the same? Jim, what are you talking about? This one's about not eating carbs, this one's about just not eating fat, and this one's about counting point. No, I'm gonna listen. They're all exactly the same because you are approaching all of them with the exact same mindset, this dieting mindset, where it doesn't matter what plan you try, you're jumping into it 100%, day one, everything's different. And that is where you're getting tricked, right? So again, the. The illusion, the window dressing of the diets is distracting you from the fact that it's the same store. Every diet, right? Every single diet starts on a Monday, starts 100% doing the thing perfectly until you can't do it perfectly anymore, and then you quit. In every single diet, regardless of which one you've done, it ends up being the same experience many, many, many, many, many, many times. So again, you have to put your X ray glasses on and see through the window dressing, see through the nutritional philosophy or the diet philosophy, and look through to the fact that every single diet's exactly the same, because you always approach it with the same mindset. It's the mindset of thinking that you're going to start something on day one 100% different, and just maintain that until you reach your goal weight and beyond, that's the problem. Okay. And so when I ask you, have you really done everything to lose weight? Really what I'm asking you, I already know the answer, but it's to bring to the service, have you tried everything? And before you answer, have you actually tried, have you used a comprehensive holistic approach to mastering your weight? Meaning that it wasn't just about losing weight. It was about really setting yourself up to live at your goal weight for the rest of your life by transforming your mindset, your lifestyle and your eating in a way that was custom built for you. Have you learned how to influence your mind so that you can begin to influence your thoughts, your feelings and your behaviors in a much more strategic and powerful way than just using willpower? Have you ever tried that? Now, I don't blame you for never trying that. You've never been taught that. You've never been given that opportunity. You've never given that chance. But the first step to truly mastering your weight is to recognize that I can absolutely change my weight. I can change my weight when I can con. When I can change my behavior, and I can change my behavior when I can change how I think. And you've never done this approach. So before you give up or before you think that no matter what you do, nothing's going to work, open your eyes to the fact that there's lots of. I don't say lots, but there's at least one other approach that you've never tried, never, ever, ever tried. And it's obvious, right in the the goal itself. You have been so obsessed and fixated on losing weight for as long as you can remember. It's always an obsession on losing weight. How can I lose the weight? I just want to lose the weight. I just want to lose the weight. I just want to get it off. I want to lose the weight. So your goal has been to lose the weight to get to your goal weight, when in reality the real goal you want is to get to your goal weight and then live there for the rest of your life on the autopilot. That's the real goal you want. You know, if I give you, I give you two options. I got one pill that will make you lose weight and one pill that will keep you at your goal weight for the rest of your life. Which one are you taking? You see, it's a dominant goal, it's a superior goal, but you've never, ever articulated that goal because again, you've been trained, conditioned, brainwashed to be A dieter your whole life. The diet industry has literally brainwashed you to think like a dieter. And so you only think about losing the weight, not about living at it. And that sets you up to approach these diets with this all or nothing mindset where you try and do everything 100% perfect so you get the fastest results possible. But when you start to slow down and you realize, actually I'm not just focused on the weight loss, I've lost weight before and put it back on, that's not what I want to do again. What I really want is to get to my goal weight and live there the rest of my life on near autopilot. How can I do that? And very quickly you start to realize I need more strategies that I'm getting from the diets. I need more than just being told what to eat or how to exercise. I need a plan that really is custom built for me and one that affects me on the eating level, the lifestyle level and the mindset level. I've got to get all three of those levels in order. I can't just magically, all of a sudden just start eating great, because you gave me a piece of paper that says the plan on it. That's not enough. You need to also figure out your lifestyle and your mindset and you need to learn how to run your mind so you can do those things. So you need to know exactly what to do for you that works best for you. And you need the ability to know how to get yourself to do that plan. Those are the two key things you need and you have never had those things, you know. And the third thing you need is support. Okay? And these are three things you have probably never put together. You haven't figured out what to do. You've been told what to do by someone who doesn't know you. You've never had someone work with you. You've never gone through a process where you literally customize what you're going to do based on you, on your preferences, on your likes, your dislikes, your lifestyle. You've never custom made a plan. You've never custom made a lifestyle plan. You've never gone through your mindset and tweaked it up, fix the living beliefs and installed better beliefs in its place. You've never done this stuff. And so the answer is no. You have not done everything to lose weight. You've done one thing to lose weight, most likely, and it's diet. And it doesn't matter what diet you pick, they're always the same because you approach Every diet with the exact same mindset that again, you're going to change everything instantly in one day. And that's never going to work, not for long. So I hope this helps you out. And if you want more help with this way of thinking about weight, make sure you click the link in my bio or go to program yourself. Then I got a free hypnosis session for you. I got a training I put together for you. These are all free. Got the circle communities coming along, right? Got some cool stuff going on with that. So again, I got lots of stuff to help you out. Go check that out and stop dieting. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. I'm here to help you all out. I'm here every Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern. A little late today, but 12 to 12:30 I guess I would say. But again, I am here to help you all out. So if you have any questions on weight, anything at all, ask it and I'll see if I can help you out. And it doesn't matter whatever diet you're doing, you know, not a fan of diets, but I can certainly help you program yourself. Thin is a diet agnostic program so people can follow whatever plan they want to follow with it. You know, there's a plan that's part of it, but you can certainly bring your dieting preferences with you, you know, so again, if you are have any questions about your diet that you're doing or how to stick to something or anything like that, feel free to ask them. Sweet Quest says on YouTube there are these weightlifters that are losing weight via fruit sugar diet weekends. Yeah, I have not seen that one yet. Fruit and sugar diet weekends. It's just, I, I hate the diet. Oh my God, do I hate the diet industry and all forms of it. You know, any goofy way of eating, you know, it's just this goofy. So I don't, I haven't even heard of that. But I don't care. I mean to me diets are dead. I don't give a about a diet. I don't care what this idea that there's going to be some macronutrient, you know, percentage manipulation, some, you know, you know, every other day you're going to do something crazy. I'm just like, it's, it's, God, it's, it's just all get rich quick schemes for diets, for weight loss hacks and shortcuts and tricks and oh my God, people just put the work in and just do the work, you know. Now, weightlifters put the work in. So, you know, again, that's different. But I'll tell you, let me just say something here. If you ain't a weightlifter, how about this? Don't follow weightlifter influencers. Don't watch what weightlifters are doing if you're not a weightlifter. You know, that's why, again, I get out here as kind of a unique voice in the. If. If, God forbid, they put me in the influencer category, I think you'll find that I'm kind of a unique voice in that because, well, you know, I'm starting to exercise more now, but for 30 years I've kept the weight off with no exercising. So to me, program yourself. Then in one way, it's the laziest weight loss system on the planet. You know, there is work, there's no question about it. But ultimately it becomes the laziest way because really what I've focused on is changing my mindset, my eating primarily, and my lifestyle. And that has not included exercising until somewhat recently. But I have mastered my weight for 30 years by mastering my mindset, lifestyle and eating. And I've made it, you know, pretty automated, you know. So again, I don't know, there's always people doing crazy shit. I would suggest, folks, when you see someone doing something kind of weird or crazy, just ignore it, let it pass, you know, just dedicate yourself to the fundamentals. It's always the same. I will tell you that. It's. It's always the same story with success. You know, there's a saying that success leaves clues. And there's also a saying, the failure leaves clues too. And I agree. But success leaves clues. And one of the success clues of. Of all time is that if you stop focusing and trying to shortcut the process and just commit to doing it and learning it, you'll always be better off. So that means focusing on the fundamentals. It's the same for everything. It's the same. Golf, basketball, drawing, music. I mean, it's literally whatever. If you keep consistently focusing on the fundamentals, that's how you get the best results, plain and simple. That is it. Hacks never work, you know, tricks never work. Not for long anyways, you know, and yet I don't know why they're so appealing. I do not know how. Dieters that have been struggling for decades with their weight are still falling prey to this, though I do say that. So, you know, use this as an opportunity to reflect. Jesus Christ, stop with the hacks and the Shortcuts. Anyways, Queen FB says, how do I tell my sister I don't want to see her trainer? But yet she keeps pushing and talking for me. Yeah, there you go. Right? There's another aspect of weight loss and the 2025 culture. Everyone's telling you what to do. You know, I wish people would just shut the fuck up. You know, everyone's got their own path they're going to do. I mean, I get you want to help people sometimes, and people want to help you, great. But I think people really need to recognize that this really is, again, in program yourself. That's what I'm talking about. Like, we have the. The goal weight blueprints you fill out, but they are customized to you, you know, because everyone's path for how they're going to get and then live at their goal weight is always unique to them. It's always individualized. Right. So, for example, this is why dieting doesn't work. A. This is just one of the. One of the many reasons why dieting doesn't work. The idea that, you know, I could start a diet and I could just tell you what I eat. Here you go. Eat what I eat, you know, and it's like, there's something so inhumane. Like, not inhumane. I don't mean that, but like, like not human about it, right? It's like the idea that I'm gonna tell you what to eat. You don't. You don't know me. Why would you listen to me about, what if I tell you to eat? You know, I mean, like, again, it's like the idea if I tell you what music to listen to or clothes to wear, what move type of movies to watch, because I like them. Well, what the. You may or may not like them. So how am I going to sit here and tell you how to eat? What if you don't like the foods I eat? We're just gonna try and choke it down. And don't force yourself to do it. It makes no sense. And this is how you're always approaching your diet. Just tell me what to do. You know, they always say, like, there's a Dan Kennedy used to always say the people are walking around with their umbilical cord looking for someplace to plug it in. And I think dieters really fit the. The description, you know, because again, with dieters, and especially, you know, my people here, you know, even if you're here listening, I know you're smart, I know you're an overthinker. I know you're a Type A perfectionist. The only, I only get one type of person listening to me. And so I know that you struggle all the time with the idea, like, what the shit? How am I struggling with this? You know, you're too smart to keep dieting, you know, and you're so smart, you're smarter. We're all smarter than we realize in the sense that, you know, we have two parts of our mind. We have a conscious mind and a subconscious mind. The subconscious mind part of our mind is way smarter than our conscious mind, okay? And so your subconscious, if you're, if you're 45 plus and you've been dieting for 30 years, your subconscious mind has figured out dieting doesn't work. And this is one of the core reasons you can't get yourself to start a diet now. Because your subconscious is like, what is the point? No matter what diet we do, it's always the same story. We do it for a little while, get some results, then we always quit. So now your diet, your subconscious, no, we're not doing this again. And so now you probably, again, you probably think about weight loss all day long. You can't get yourself to do anything, you know, but again, it comes back to the idea that we got to walk our own paths. So again, Queen, what I would say is, I don't want to see your trainer. I mean, make up excuse if you want. I don't want to drive there, I don't like them, whatever. I'm going to go a different route. I'm going to do this, you know, and then you stand by your thing, you know, and I go, it's not the easiest thing to do. I understand. You know, I mean, communication is always, you know, more complex than it seems, you know, to outsiders. Right. I know there's always internal tensions and situations going on, but again, it's an opportunity because it's a, you know, listen, being able to talk to your sister and express yourself, to advocate for yourself is a fundamental aspect of getting your weight under control. I will let you know that again, weight loss is not just about me giving you a plan and you following it. Good Lord, how the can you possibly think that that's all you need is a plan? You know what I mean? Like, so, so it's never a plan. It's like, it's all this, this deeper, more subtle stuff. And a lot of times it's being able to advocate for ourselves, being able to tell people that are close to us in our lives. I'm going to eat different. I'm going to start living different. I'm going to become a different version of myself. I still love you all, but I'm going to start transforming, you know, now you have to say it like that to them, you know what I mean? But that, that is an aspect in most, in most weight loss. And then living at your goal weight, there's almost always some aspect of it, of learning how to communicate differently with the people in your life. You understand? This is such an important point. Program yourself. This is a whole section of the program. It's about your self image, you know, like the way you are. If you've been overweight for a long time, it's not just because you love sweets. It's a whole psychological thing. You identify as an overweight person, as an overeater, as someone who can't express themselves. Not all the time with that one. Okay. But what I'm saying is it's this whole suite of psychological things going on. It's not just that you love sugar or oh, I can't stop eating fast food. It's never that simple, folks. I, I sorry. You know, so, but there you go, Queen. It's an opportunity for you to start to advocate for yourself. Express to, to them, your sister that that's, I don't want to see them, you know, and so you, but you use it as an opportunity to practice becoming this stronger, more empowered version of you. Very important. What's up, Jim? Jen says, well, meaning people are the worst. Lol. My dad keeps asking me to help my sister lose weight. I told him it's like trying to help an addict. Alcoholic. Yes. Only they can help themselves when ready. I could not agree with that more. And I have had, you know, over 30 years personally I've been doing this and I could not agree more. I never talk about this stuff in my personal life. Ever. Never. Never. I, I never bring it up. Like, I never bring it up. If someone comes and asks me stuff and talks to me about, I'm happy to talk about it. But I, you would. If you met me in real world, you would never, you wouldn't even know what I do. You would not even know what I do. Okay. It is the worst. You know, listen folks, it's hard enough to get our own selves doing what we need to do, right? Is it not hard enough just to get your own self? You know what I mean? Like, like on the track and going with it. The idea that you're going to change someone else is, is ridiculous. And the idea to me is that you Know, I'll just focus on me. And again, I'm here for other people. If someone asks for help or wants, you know, I'm. I'm right there for it. But I am never proactively trying to help someone. It is the. I think I have found that to be the biggest waste of time, one of the biggest waste of times that exists. And so again, you know, I, I seek to be a role model. Even my personal life, like I look to I doing my own thing. And if someone sees that and is curious about and has questions again, I'm happy to talk about it. But I'm never proactively trying to change other people. Waste of time, waste of energy, never gonna work. So, yeah, it's. And if anything, it causes more problems. Most of the time, that's what I see. What's up? Uzo says, I watched some of your vids and I see that you seem to think looks don't matter. Like, I'm sorry, but as good looking guy, of course you would say that. It's like when rich people say money doesn't matter. I'm currently 50 pounds overweight. It's been horrible. I can't stand to look in the mirror or get dressed in the morning. Yeah, I get that. Okay, let me address that, you know. Yeah, look, looks matter, okay? So. So I, I don't mean to say looks don't matter, okay? I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm just, you know, in denial about the world. Okay? Yes, I think looks matter. Looks matter to me. You know what I mean? So I don't want to sit here and say looks don't matter. Sometimes I kind of overstate it. Just trying to balance things out. Now I will say for me personally, looks are a distant third place. Okay? What matters most to me. What matters most to me, number one is how long I'm gonna live. Maybe that's number two. I'm not even sure these one and two go neck and neck. But number three is a distant third. I will tell you, but my number one and two hours want to live as long as I can. And I want to have the best quality of life while I'm here, okay? That's my number one and two weight motivation by a mile. And then if you look five miles down the road, you'll see, yeah, I want to look, you know, the way I look, okay? So I'm not saying it doesn't count. It does. But it's a small part of the motivation system I have, okay? And I Can promise all of you, because I know this for a fact, that one of the core reasons you're not losing weight is because you're so fixated on how you look. And in a technical sense, there is a science of motivation, by the way, and it talks about intrinsic extrinsic motivation. Wanting to look better is an extrinsic motivator. That's what it's classified as. Because wanting to look better really is about other people saying, wow, you're looking great. So you looking better really is about other people and how they're going to feel about you. Okay. And again, important. It is a motivator. No question about it. But compared to intrinsic motivation, it is a distant second. It's just a fact. There's no. I know you're saying no, Jim, I really want to look. I want to. No, you don't. If you really, truly. If wanting to look better was so motivating you had lost weight, I'm here to tell you, and you're not going to like what I'm going to have to say. Yell away what you want away. Which means. Doesn't mean you don't want to lose weight. I know you want to lose weight, but you want to keep eating and living the way you're living more. And your motivation is not enough. I have never seen someone that's come to me and I've started working with who's gotten motivated, who has not lost weight. I've never seen it. So, you know, you. You can argue me all I want. You can tell me, no, I really want to look better. I want to look better. I've wanted to look better for 30 years and I haven't lost weight. It. Well, that. Because it's not enough motivation. You just to compare. Okay, I know you want to look better, but let me compare with some other motivation. What if I said, I'll give you a million bucks if you lose weight this month? Do you think there's another gear you could go into that you haven't been putting it into? Right. So, yeah, again, when I say that looks don't matter, I don't mean that literally. I think looks matter to some degree, but they're not enough motivation. You know, maybe. And even still, it's not a motivation. But if you're a model or if your life, your. Your financial life, your career revolves around how you look, you know, then that might be enough motivation because now it's not just about how you look. Other people think about it. It affects your intrinsic stuff, affects your. Your Quality of life, how you're living, you know, eating, shelter, all this stuff. So if you're, if you're not though, if you're just a regular person. Wanting to look better is not enough motivation. And you want to argue with me about it? What the. You going to tell me? I've wanted to lose weight, I wanted to lose better for 30 years and I haven't lost weight, but I'm so motivated. What, what are you going to say to me? Like, no, it's not enough motivation. And I know you think it is. It's not. And so, you know, so. Oh, yeah, Jim, look, good for you, you know. Yeah. I'm saying it because I'm saying for me it wouldn't be enough. Oh. Because I want to. What do I do? Want to? Look, I'm, I'm. Mary. What do I give a. I mean, I like looking away, sure, but who gives a. You know what I mean? What do I care? No one's coming. Oh my God, look, it looks so me, huh? Like, I don't know, it's cool looking this way. Like it's a cool thing and that's about where it stops. What's really amazing is the fact that I am. So this is why I say I can't tell if it's longevity or quality of life. They're neck and neck. And I guess it's the quality life because that's what I'm experiencing most. I think that's probably the biggest motivator day to day for me, I'm gonna say quality of life. So because I eat the way I eat, because I think the way I think, because I weigh what I weigh, because I live the way I live, I feel really good, I have lots of energy. You know, most days I wake up, I'm energized, I'm excited, I'm clear headed, I'm ready to go. I'm doing lots of things. I feel good. It allows me to kind of do the work I want to do, have the relationships I want to have. Great. The money I want to have, live the life I want to live. So that's really my core focus. Okay. That's why I eat the way I eat, live the way I live, you know, think the way I think and weigh what I want to weigh. Because I think weighing this here and doing all the things that allow me to weigh this, I, I think puts me in the best position to live the life I want to live, to be the best version of me that I want to be. So that's my core motivation. And then there's, you know, my dad died at 54 of a heart attack, so I had that trauma smack me right in the face when I was nine years old. So in my mind I'm like, I do not want to die at 54 of a heart attack if I could do anything to prevent that. So that's a huge motivator. Way bigger motivator than how I look. And then there's how I look. Yeah, cool. I want to look certain. Or if your life, your, your financial life, your career revolves around how you look. It's not. And so, you know, so. Oh, yeah, Jim look good for you, you know? Yeah. I'm saying it because I'm saying for me it wouldn't be enough. Oh. Because I want to. What do I do? I want to look. I'm. I'm. Mary. What do I give a. I mean, I like looking away, sure, but who gives a. You know what I mean? What do I care? No one's coming. Oh my God, look. It looks so me, huh? Like, I don't know, it's cool looking this way. Like it's a cool thing and that's about where it stops. What's really amazing is the fact that I am. So this is why I say I can't tell if it's longevity or quality of life. They're neck and neck. And I guess it's the quality of life because that's what I'm experiencing most. I think that's probably the biggest motivator day to day for me. I'm going to say quality of life. Because I think weighing this here and doing all the things that allow me to weigh this, I think puts me in the best position to live the life I want to live, to be the best version of me that I want to be. So that's my core motivation. And then there's, you know, my dad died at 54 of a heart attack, so I had that trauma smack me right in the face when I was nine years old. So in my mind, I'm like, I do not want to die at 54 of a heart attack if I could do anything to prevent that. So that's a huge motivator. Way bigger motivator than how I look. And then there's how I look. Yeah, cool. I want to look a certain way. Cool. You know, you all don't have that motivation system if you're at your goal, what you do. But if you're overweight, you do not have that motivation system. No, you don't. You want to look better, you want to wear skinny jeans, you want to wear a bathing suit to the beach, but you do not have the motivation I have. Guaranteed. Guaranteed. And that's. I always say the first issue for everyone that wants to lose weight is not a diet plan. It's your motivation. You're not motivated. You think you're motivated at a 10, you're motivated at like a three. Four, probably. That's the core. That's the first hurdle you got to jump if you have any chance at hell of ever living. Your goal weight you is you got to be able to motivate yourself genuinely and in a real powerful way. You don't know how to do that because the diet industry has just fixated and focused you on how you look your entire life. So that when you think about weight loss motivation, you think about before and after pictures. You don't think about the real juicy stuff. That really makes it powerful. And, you know, yeah, just. Jade says maybe if you're a single female, you'd understand the importance of looks. It's just different. But you're right. It's not enough motivation. Thank you. And I. You're right. I. I'm not a. I'm not a woman in the society, so I. I will never understand it that way. So I, I don't disagree with that. But what I'm saying to you is it's not. It's not about me. Do you understand? Take me right out of the equation, okay? I don't have to understand what it's like to be a woman in this society. I don't need to. What I can know is that, okay, so you've been a woman in this society for 40 years, and you've been overweight 25 of those years, and, and you've Wanted to look thinner all 25 of those years, and you have not lost any weight. What I'm saying to you is it's because you're not really motivated. And you're not really motivated because the dietistry has fixated you on looking better. Clearly, looking better is not enough motivation to put it in another way. Right. So I could give you a million bucks if you lose weight this month. Would you be more motivated than you've been the last 25 years when you want to look better? Yeah, absolutely. Why? Because you value the money more than you value how you look. Let me give you a negative example. What if I kidnap the person you're closest to in your life? I kidnap them and I say you don't get them back unless you lose weight ever again. Is your motivation higher now? Of course. Why? Because you value that relationship more than you value looking good. And there's nothing wrong with that, by the way. Wanting to look good. And it's a weird thing to have this much motivation about looking good. It's evolutionary. It's a relatively new thing. So I don't want to get into details of why that's not motivating, but it's just not. And so I don't have to be a woman. I don't have to understand the value of looks in this society. If you're a woman in this society who's lived here this whole time and you're overweight and you can't get yourself to lose weight, it's because you're not motivated. So let's just take me right out of the equation. And you're not motivated because you keep thinking wanting to look better is enough motivation. I don't. So, you know, user says, account, stand to look in the mirror, get dressed in the morning. It's been so hard to find confidence. Feels impossible. I use food to feel better. Makes me satisfied for seconds, and then it's over and I feel shitty, so I keep eating more. Yeah. So, Uzo, I get it. I mean, again, you know, so my motivation. If I was Uzo, I would shift my motivation now again, I would keep the wanting to look better motivation. Never get rid of that. We want to take all the motivation we can get. I'm not sitting here saying, oh, don't care about how you look. Stop thinking about that. I'm not saying that. I'm saying wanting to look better for. For 95 of people is not enough motivation. Jesus Christ, look at your own history. Does that prove that? How much have you wanted to look Better for the last 20 years. And how much weight have you lost? It's just, it's, it's not a trick question, and it's not me being an, it's me just saying, look at the results you've gotten and look at the motivation you've had. And then, then say, oh, I need more motivation. Okay. So for Uzo, I would stop thinking about how I fucking look and I would start saying, I'm tired of feeling shitty. I feel like shit every day. I feel like a failure every time I overeat. I feel like crap physically, mentally, emotionally. And I'm doing this day after day after day. I don't want to live this way anymore. I want a better quality of life. I want to feel lighter, I want to sleep well. I want to wake up energized. I want to start feeling better about myself. That's what I'd be focusing on if I was Uzo. I would redefine this entire process and stop thinking about it. How I look. How you look is not motivating enough. Do you not know that you want to. Oh, my God. And I, yeah, so you're so, you're a woman, and it's worse for a woman. I, I get that. I understand that. But even if you're a woman, it doesn't motivate you more. It makes you feel shittier. Do you get that? Like, I know looks are more important for women in this society, but I also know that that focus on looks also just makes you feel shittier all the time. You know, Suza says going out to eat is insanely embarrassing for me, especially if I eat my skinny friends. Yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure. I mean, you know, this is the reason I'm here every single day, is because to me, it's the quality of life issue. And I feel, you know, it's people, their whole lives, they can go through feeling like just because of the weight, because they don't know how to change it, you know? And Uzo says, I never know what to order. My friends always awkwardly compliment me and tell me it's fine to eat junk for me. Yeah, I think we've talked about this, Uzo, before. I think I've talked to you before about this, but again, I mean, like, you know, you approach this like a dieter. I mean, you don't even have a strategy. I, I, I'm not here to pick on people, but I'm just trying to point out the issues. You know, you're not, you're not stupid. It's just you have no strategy for how you're dealing with any of this. There's no strategy at all when you're at home. There's no strategy by yourself. There's no strategy when you go out with your friends and it's all just problems and you have no idea where to start. And so then you get really upset and you probably, I'm sure you've done diets and you jump into them full, full strength. They don't really help you. They, you can't stick to them. They don't solve the real core problems, you know, So I hope, I hope, you know, you go to my bio and click the link or go to hip, go to program yourself then and go get the hypnosis session and watch the training video. You know what I mean? That, that I made for you. You know, now I get. It feels hopeless, you know, of course you're going to feel hopeless with a diet. A diet is, it doesn't, it doesn't show you any of the stuff you really need to know. Everyone feels hopeless with diets because again, it's just more plans coming at you, more people telling you what to do, you know, and you never really figure out what to do for yourself because I truly think I don't even eat that much. Just three meals. You eat, you eat as much as you weigh. Let it be known. Okay, the idea again, people always say, well, I don't think I'm eat that much. I mean, you eat as much as you weigh. It's, it's a, it's a one to one ratio. Don't be confused and don't try and convince yourself, I don't understand why I'm overweight. I don't even eat much. You, you eat exactly as much as you weigh. You know that idea of like, oh, I don't even eat much, you know, you, you, it's, it's, it's plain as day. Do you know what I mean? You. So you do. I mean, you, you. If you eat three meals, you can eat a ton in three meals. I've seen people be overweight eating one meal a day. So the number of meals, the, the health of your meals has nothing to do with the quantity of calories you can consume. Regina says, my dad is from Portugal, 96 and still drives. He acts like he's 60. He always had his own garden, all organic, nothing sprayed. That's awesome. That's a real inspiration. I got a neighbor like that. She's Jesus, she just turned 100. And real inspiration. I will tell you that too. Like, the more, the more healthy older people you can get around, the better. It's really important to get around them, even if you just see them on videos and stuff, because it puts new ideas in your mind. Because most likely in your life you've seen kind of old, frail older people. And so it's really helpful to see people that are thriving well into their 90s. It's paradigm shifting. You know, what's possible really shifts in your mind. Uzo says, but it's just three regular meals. I mean, I don't know what you're. So listen, this is what I mean. This is why I get confused, you know, because you keep telling yourself, I'm doing everything right. But I, this is literally what I started the whole lesson today with. Have you really done everything to lose weight? You know, because again, dieters are always convincing themselves that they're doing everything they can to lose weight. Nothing's working. And that's just not true. Do you sit here, El Uzo and tell me you have three meals, three regular meals? I'm not going to argue with you, but it's like where the calories coming from, then either your regular meals are way bigger than you realize, you know, then they're not regular meals and, or you're eating outside of meals, you know, but again, don't, don't defend it. There's, there's no point wasting the energy defending it. You're eating exactly at the weight you're at. There's no trickery going on. It's just plain as day. You know, you're, you're eating the calories that keep you at the weight you're at. And any defense of that. Now, again, you could defend whatever you want, but it's like, to act like, well, you know, my weight's here. And so, But I, I eat down here, though. I don't understand my weights up here. I eat down here. You all have to stop doing that. It's confusing your brain. It's making you miss things. I don't understand. I, I don't know how my weight could be up here because I eat down here. No, you're not. You eat up here. That's why your weight's up here. And I find that may sound harsh, but to me it's clarifying and it makes things. Now you can deal with the problem because when you pull this on yourself, I don't understand my weights up here. I eat down here. And now your brain goes, h. Well, what can I do? I'm eating down here. What more can I do? Well, you could eat less because you're not eating down here. You're eating up here. Your weight is exact. Your eating is exactly what your weight is. Is that. Is that crazy? Is that crazy thought? I don't know. What's up, Kim? Kim says quality of life. When it hurts, when you bend over to tie your shoes, you have a problem. When you don't have a lap to put your napkin on, you have a problem. When you no longer have a wrist, you have a problem. Those are part of my motivators. £100 down in 19 months. Kim, great job. Great job. What an accomplishment. That's a double. I give you the double. The double seal of approval because that's a ton of weight. Great job. And that's a lot of time. 19 months, not a super job. So you must be doing it in a way that really works and resonates with you. So great job, Kim. And again, though, Kim just is validating my point now, again, I'm not surprised by that because I've studied. Everything I'm saying to you has originated with people that have lost weight and kept it off for at least two years. That's all I share with you. Those are the people I Learned from over 30 years ago. The people I modeled and studied and created this whole system based on the people I've modeled and studied to lose 50 pounds and keep it off for 30 years. So, you know, I'm not just pulling this out of my ass. I've been doing this professionally for 20 years. No, you wanting to look better is not enough motivation. You're welcome. You should be thanking me because it must be nice to know that I much rather know. Oh, yeah, you know what? It's not enough motivation. Okay, let me work on getting more motivated than being like, well, I don't understand. I'm so motivated I can't lose weight. I'm as motivated as that could be, and I can't lose weight. No, you're not. No, you're not. You know, so it can sting a little bit, but at least it gets you into the possibility of finding solutions. You know, that's a whole thing, too. I just don't know what that said. A great client call today. What's up, Vicky? I love you on fire. I know you got worked up sometimes. Yes, I agree. My dear friend has diabetes and thinks she is stuck with it forever. It's reversible. Yes, a lot of times it is. Especially if you haven't had a bunch. I Just. I literally was just going through some notes on that. I forget what they are now. Exactly. But it's something. I'll tell you what they are, actually, because I can find them, because I literally just used them. Let's see, what is it? Oh, you. Oh, you. But I will find them. So I want to tell you this because I think it's important to know, and it kind of is in line with what we're talking about here. Come on. You come on. Where is it? I'm going to tell you this because it's a. I want to give you specific numbers. I don't want to just talk in generalities. And I think it's important because it's one of those things you don't really hear enough of. And the. Come on, is it worth it now? It's. You know, I always think this thing's gonna be so much faster. Let's try this, though. Can I not find it? Okay. All right. All that wasting for nothing. Anyways, long story short, as I was talking about diabetes and that depending on how long you've had it. And so again, I. I wish I wanted to give you the specific numbers, but long story short, if you haven't had diabetes for too many years and you lose a certain amount of weight, your chance of reversing it is like 90%. Oh, here. No, that's not it. Okay, I'm just gonna let it go. God, that irritates me. Is it this way? And if you've had it for a while, though, it's not. It's not as easy to reverse it, but it's still reversible most of the time. Oh, here it is. Okay. With the loss of 15 of body weight, nearly 90 of those who have had type 2 diabetes for fewer than four years can achieve remission, whereas it may only be reversible in 50 of those who lived with it for longer than eight years. So there you go. And that's from Dr. Greger. Guy knows what he's talking about. So, yeah, Curveball says, I don't know how to emotionally regulate. Needing, as a coping mechanism, I need to build stronger motivation. That's so true. When I think of weight loss, I do go straight to a before and after. Yes, absolutely. But curveball, I. I just want to address what you just said. I don't know how. I don't know how to emotionally regulate. And eating is a coping mechanism. I need to build stronger motivation. Okay, this is why I want to dive in here for a second. We always need stronger motivation. So, yes, we always need stronger motivation, but not in this case. You don't need stronger motivation. You need a better strategy. That's the bigger issue than the motivation is your strategy. I don't know how to regulate my emotions genuinely. And I think most of us can recognize that because we live in a culture where we've been conditioned since we were born to use food as our main emotional management strategy. Feel sad, feel down, feel depressed, feel pain, go to the food, distract ourselves, feel better, feel great, feel, celebrate all the rest of it. Go to the food and celebrate with it. Okay, so most people, at least in America, are not very good at regulating their emotions genuinely without food, because we haven't really learned to do that. We've used food as a crutch a lot of times. So you don't need more motivation. You need a strategy. You do not know how to manage your emotions. Again, this is another part of program yourself, then, is the emotions section. Because I know this. I know I didn't know how to do it either. I use food. That's what got me in trouble in the first place. I was using food and alcohol to deal with my emotions. So I had to learn how to genuinely regulate my emotions, how to deal with the shitty emotions I didn't want to feel, and how to feel more of the positive emotions I did want to feel without food. And that's a skill. So you need to develop that skill. You need to develop that strategy. Now, again, more motivation always helps, but more motivation is not the answer to everything. So I want to make that crystal clear, too. I know I talk about these extreme situations where if I go give you a million bucks, well, you just stop eating. But you aren't gonna be able to keep that up forever. So, again, motivation is not enough. I want to. I can't be stressed that enough motivation is really, really important. But so is strategy. And that's. That is when you all look at your strategies, that's the biggest. Well, shit, you got no motivation either. But really, your strategies is really where you're lacking. You do not have the comprehensive, holistic strategies that you need to live at your goal weight, you know, most people. And so that's just an example of one of them, is that you don't know how to deal with your emotions. You know what I mean? Yeah. Don says, we absolutely weigh how we live. Yes, of course. Of course. Right. Kayla says, do I need a weight goal? I don't know if I need one or not. Practicing intuitive eating. I think I like having a weight goal. I Find it to be really important. I think, you know, that's which. Which is measured, improves. I think it focuses the mind. And program yourself. Then we do that. So now we take the goal weight, we give it lots of meaning, you know, and again, that's just another thing I give you all, by the way. So again, just another thing. If you're not in my world, go click the link in my bio or go to program yourself. Then get the free hypnosis session. Get on my list. I got a training for you. That's another thing I'm putting. I got this thing it's called. It's a circle community. So it's a community app. And you can get in there and I'm putting a whole free section together. And in that, you're going to have a goal weight quiz, how to figure out the right goal weight for yourself. Again, you get that training I give you get the hypnosis session. I got a couple other things in there for you. But yeah, I mean, I think you need a goal. I think if. Because this is a big undertaking, there's no shortcuts, there's no hacks to change your weight for good. You have to think of committing to your goal weight is almost in the ballpark of committing to go to college. You know what I mean? Like, and it doesn't matter, associate, bachelor, master's, whatever, but you have to approach your weight almost like it's like college. Like you're really committing to it, to mastering it. And I think that mindset is so important, you know, and so if you're going to take something big on, you better have a goal now, now, again, that goal can shift and change a little bit. I've changed my goal. It's malleable, it's flexible, but you need to have a goal, you know, I mean, I'm going to go to college and get a degree in something. Yeah. You know, or I'm going to go to college and study stuff. You know what I mean? I think having a goal, I think crystallizes things and is. I would definitely recommend that. Now, again, I'll let you know. Listen, folks, you all don't know how to choose your goal weight. I will tell you. You don't know how to choose your goal weight because you've never learned how to choose your goal weight. No, looking at a BMI chart is not choosing your goal weight. It's just a little, you know, two steps they give you to tell you what your goal weight is. You've been told what your goal Weight is your whole life. You have never sat down and strategically, objectively thought, what's the best goal weight? For me, it's not the BMI chart necessarily the BMI chart. I like to use the BMI chart as a data point, but it's not. No one can just tell you what your weight's going to be. Your, your weight is one of the most personal decisions you get to make. And so again, most people have no idea how to choose the right goal weight because you've never learned how to choose it. Your doctors told you a weight you should weigh, A friends told you, a magazine told you a BMI chart tells you, but you've never really sat down and really reflected on the perfect weight for you. And I think when you do that, you come up with that number, it could be much more meaningful. You know, Regina says, what suggestions do you have when you stress eat well? Again, I, I happy to answer this, but this answer is so obvious that, you know, you're almost gonna smack yourself when I tell it to you because it's so obvious, right? What suggestions do you have when you stress eat? Well, this is the same for all emotional eating, by the way. The problem isn't the stress eating. The problem is the stress and your inability to manage it genuinely. Right? So you get stressed. And basically for most people, this goes back to what I was just talking about, the emotional management stuff. For most people when they get stressed, they don't know how to deal with it genuinely. The best thing they got is eating. So eating. For most people, eating is the best strategy. They have to manage their stress to bring it back down. So subconsciously, eating when we're stressed is a great strategy because it works in the moment to bring our stress down. Okay? So the core problem is not the stress eating. The core problem is that you don't have any other ways to de stress. And, and I know that. And that's why in program yourself, then it's the very first thing that you start working on, you know, and program yourself thin. You know, the program starts the very first day with a five minute hypnosis session in the morning. You know, each morning you get a five minute hypnosis session and each morning you're relaxing, you're calming down, you're breathing and you're getting all this good stuff popped in your head, but you're, you're relaxing. Because I know that every single person in America pretty much is stressed chronically. And so one of the first things we got to do because it's such an important foundational piece is we've got to get your stress level down. We got to increase your relaxation. Because when you're operating out of a more calm, relaxed, peaceful place, you tend to naturally make better decisions anyways. You think more clearly, you're more connected to your goals. And so being able to be more centered, calm and relaxed to me is fundamental. It is crucial. And so that's a big thing we work on. So again, when you're more relaxed and calm, genuinely, that instantly starts to, you know, help work with, with the stress eating. How do you feel about Manjaro? I feel the same. The GLP ones, I feel the same about all of them. Again, I, I think, you know, there's. Diets are at the very bottom. They don't work at all. Gastric, well, lap band is, is next. Gastric bypass is better than lap band. And I would say GLP1s are better than all of them. That's what I think. Because I think I'd rather be on an injection than have that surgery. That's what I think. Now then there's program yourself that's a million times better than that. Why? Because if you figure out how to shift your mindset, your lifestyle and your reading, if you, if you figure out that, that blueprint like we do in the program, and you figure out how to think, live and eat like a thin, healthy person in a way that really works for you, and you learn how to run your mind so that you can follow that plan and you start to get into the flow with it and you're able to get to your goal weight and then live there comfortably. And the whole time you're also personally developing yourself, you're becoming a better version of yourself each and every day because you keep improving. I mean, how is that not right? How's that not way superior to injecting yourself with shit that makes you feel kind of nauseous and not hungry all the time and reduces your pleasure of life? You know what I mean? So again it's everything's relative, you know. And so again, I'll put GLP1's pretty much at the top of the list of everything conventional. And I put program yourself thin, you know, for people that are succeeding with program yourself thin, there's no thousand dollar a month thing. You're not injecting yourself with some shit we don't really understand yet. You can lose as much weight as you want. You can on GLP1s, you lose for about 16 months. That's just maintenance forever. You don't have to be on this really intense medicine for the rest of your life. You don't got to be paying for it all the time. And you get the satisfaction that you've genuinely resolved this issue and you've really figured it out. So, you know, I don't really think too much about Manjaro, and I don't want to be judgmental because I think there's a place for it. But, you know what I usually say again, program yourself, then is not for most people. Program yourself, then is really for overthinkers, perfectionists, action takers, these types of people, and they do really well with the program. People just want to, oh, just tell me what to do, Jim. This ain't for you. Okay? So I know there's a lot of people that don't want to do that work of figuring out the mindset lifestyle and eating peas. They don't want to do that stuff. And so for them, I say GLP1 is probably your best thing. Okay. The diet's not. The diet's never going to work. It's not even. I don't know what to tell you. It's a done and done. You know, the diet has such a low percentage of success that, you know, it's crazy. So that's how I think about that. What's up, Mary? Mari. Mari. He confused me, the spelling there, and I think I had it. My query today is, surely not everyone is susceptible to hypnosis as a strategy. I went to a hypnotist years ago, did nothing for me. Thoughts? Yeah, agreed. I think traditional hypnosis has a. It's a real hit or miss thing. I did it. I was a professional hypnotist with an office for years, and it's. It was hit or miss, you know, it just is, so. Agreed. You have to understand, though, that that form of hypnosis is a little weird in the sense that, you know, it's someone else hypnotizing you. So I'm not a big believer in that model, to be honest. Now, it can be helpful. Don't get me wrong. It can be helpful, for sure. But ultimately, you need to learn how to run your own mind, because as we say in the hypnosis world, you, all of you, are your own best or worst hypnotist because you're constantly up in your head talking to yourself all day and all night. And that shatter is literally hypnotizing you into how you behave and ultimately what you weigh. And so you need to learn how to run your mind. You've never learned this. You have no idea how to run your mind. So it's really not about hypnosis, like me hypnotizing you and changing you. It's really about you understanding how your mind works hypnotically. And it does work hypnotically. Every single person is hypnotizable and. And hypnotic. You know this because all of you like TV shows and movies, right? Why do you think you like that? Why do you think you like that? Right? You're watching light on a screen and sound waves are hitting your ears. And yet you're having all these experiences. Happiness, sadness, fun, laughter, all these things, right? Because it's hypnosis. You go along with it, right? When you're watching a movie, you're not sitting in the theater like, oh, this isn't even real. This is just light bouncing off of. Off a screen. They're just actors, folks. It's just written. It's just a writer wrote this. It's not even real. They're not. It's not real. Don't believe you're not doing that. What are you doing? You're going along with it, right? You're imagining it. You're vicariously living it in your mind, and it's making it real. So that if you're watching a horror movie, you're feeling tense. You're literally tense and nervous. Watching light on a screen and sound waves hitting your ears. You're in a safe place now. You're nervous. Now I keep in that same place. But now I'll. I'll show you different stuff. And it's funny. And now you're laughing. You got a wholly different physiology. Now I put some sports on. Now you're releasing adrenaline because you're into the game, right? You're sitting in the exact same seat, the exact same environment, but you're having all these different reactions. And they're genuine reactions, by the way. So all hypnosis is, is using imagination to influence your mind and how you feel. That's all. And it's always being used on you folks, because every single food ad you see, every commercial, is a hypnosis session. So there's not a person on the planet who is not being hypnotized. But. But not traditional hypnosis. Lots of people aren't going to be traditionally hypnotized because you said, what is this guy? Who's this person? I'm not. I don't think so. I don't know what's going on here. So that is one flavor of hypnosis. Okay? But we all go into hypnosis. When we watch a movie and watch a show, you know, because you get absorbed in it. You're. You're not. You're not saying, oh, it's all fake. It's not real. It's like you're not doing that. You're going right along with it, and you're. You're having the experiences that you're. The movie or the show are kind of giving you. So that's hypnosis. And you're doing this to yourself all the time, though. Okay? You're talking to yourself all the time. And I'll give you an example. Most people have a very negative hypnotist in their head. Me included. Very negative voice, always putting me down, making me feel like still there to this day will be there for the rest of my life. But what I've done through all this work is I've developed a coach voice. A coach hypnotist in my head. So I go and I eat a bag of donuts. And the one voice is, oh, you fat piece of. Look at you. What are you doing? You're never gonna say, I knew you couldn't do it. Oh, my God. Right? The coach voice comes and says, whoa, whoa, what happened? What's going on? It says, I don't know. I get stressed out. And the kid, hey, I only brought a thing of donuts. I wasn't even ready for him. And all of a sudden I saw him. I just started eating them, and I don't know what I'm doing. That's okay. Relax, relax. What was going on, though? Could you. If you could do that over again, what would you have done differently? I would have relaxed. I would have calmed down and said, I don't want to eat all those donuts because I feel like shit after I eat them. I don't like it. Okay, well, remember that next time. Remember, it feels so much better when you eat well and, you know, next time have a donut or two. You can enjoy them, but when you eat the whole bag, you just. You feel like, you know, Then you get digested all the sugar and it just feels gross. Remember that. So which voice do you think is going to help me more? Do you have that voice in your head and you do not. I already know you don't have that voice in your head. So I'm programming stealth. And that's just another part of what we do is we create, you know, kind of a voice in your head to some degree of how to talk to yourself encouragingly, supportively. Helpfully, because what do you think you're going to whip yourself into your goal weight. That's what you're trying to do every time you go on a diet. You're just so mean to yourself and so punitive and just so strict with yourself and rigid, and it's miserable. You know, I'm not. I'm not controlling my weight like that at all. I got this very nice, friendly, kind voice in my head that's there. It's always second on the scene, though. I want you to understand the. The shitty, mean voice is always there, and it will always be there, too. And I know people like to hear this, but listen, it's basic neuroscience. You can't get rid of neural wiring. This is why you know how to ride a bike. And you'll never forget, you know. You know English. You'll never forget English. I could go drop you off in the middle of China for the rest of your life. Never hear an English word again in your life, and you'll still always understand English. That wiring is never going away, and neither is the wiring of that shitty voice in your head. So it's not about getting rid of that voice. It's about creating another voice that becomes the dominant one. So I make a mistake. This voice. You. You did it. But this one comes right and says, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. Let's relax. We. We want to make good choices we didn't hear. So let's. Let's look at it, let's understand it, let's learn from it, move on. We're going to be all right. Everything's going to be okay. All right? No big deal. Let's just get ourselves back on track. Let's learn from this and grow. You got that voice in your head. I know. You don't. I didn't. And if you don't have a voice in your head, then what are you doing? Every time you make a mistake, what happens? What do you say to yourself? How do you feel? Right. So. So how in the world are you going to be able to lose weight when that's what you're saying to yourself? And that's. You know what I mean? It's just. It's. Oh, it's tough. So, Christine, Christy says, how do we learn how to deal with our emotions? I've done mindfulness coaching, and that didn't help. Therapy didn't help either. I was at my goal weight four years ago. I so desperately want to achieve it again. Well, I get it, Christy. I mean, first off, mindfulness coaching, to me, is not going to help you learn how to deal with your emotions. I think mindfulness. Mindfulness and I meditate every day. I think mindfulness is great for becoming aware of your emotions and learning how to relax in the face of them. So I think it's a valuable piece of it for sure, but it's not the strategy. What do you do then once you realize, you know, when your boss asks you to do something, you get really stressed. Well, okay, you can practice your mindfulness, but you don't have a strategy for dealing with that from the mindfulness. So we need real strategies. And I don't know what therapy you did, but therapy I don't have a huge, you know, ton of respect for because there's just nothing therapeutically that's really been proven to be that helpful outside of cognitive behavioral therapy, which I've co opted. There's a lot of that in the program, you know, so I'll use whatever works. I, I've got no, you know, I have no, no, you know, whatever. There's nothing stopping me. I'll use literally, if I find some new strategy, some new modality that works, I'll start integrating into the program. So. But most therapy doesn't help not change your behavior. It can help you understand where it came from, you know, but looking back really isn't helpful going forward a lot of times because again, we could look back and say, oh, I get stressed, my boss gives me work. Because my mom used to say this to me, okay, great. Once again we have more understanding now, we have more awareness of it, but we still don't have a strategy for how to deal with it. And that's literally what program yourself then I think makes it so unique is we really, we break down what the challenges are for you, you know, so it's really important that for whatever challenges you have, that we identify what those are and then start working on them strategically. Because the challenges are different and require different solutions. Again, dieting. The answer is always just willpower. Mindfulness. The answer is always just what? Just be mindful. Just be present in the moment. Well, what, how do I deal with this thing? Doesn't help you with that. Therapy help you understand it. But what do I do? How do I move forward? That's the challenge, right? And so it's funny. I'll give you an example. I wanted to get to this anyways, I'm going to say it. I was working with a client today and she is literally, she's one of my favorites and I've been working with her for a while. And she goes, you know, I got on the scale this week and it's the lowest it's been in a long time, like years. And she goes, the weirdest thing is, as soon as I saw that, I had this urge to eat everything. And that's doesn't make sense logically, right? First of all. But, but let's dive into this a little bit because I think there's a lot to learn from this experience. And so I said to her, I said, okay, well, first of all, that, that's common, okay? Just so you're not a weirdo, okay? A lot of people have these counter intuitive situations, right? We think about losing weight, oh, great, now more. But I'm gonna lose more weight. Well, that's not always how it works. Sometimes you lose weight and maybe now you start freaking out. Holy. I don't know. People prefer a known hell to an unknown heaven. So all of a sudden I've never been this oh my God in this way in a long time, right? It feels weird. And, and, or maybe also. And again, it could be multiple things. Maybe her whole life, every time she's succeeded with something, she celebrated with food. So it could be both of those things, okay? But I said to her, I said the magical question. I said, okay, fine, great job. First of all, you're aware of that everything starts with awareness because we can't fix what we don't know is broken. So she became aware of that. Great job. Now we can talk about it. And I said, how would you like to respond? When you step on the scale, it goes down. How do you want to respond to it? No one ever asked this question, okay? I just want it before I go into the answer and see if you could answer it. Maybe you can, maybe you can't, okay? Because what most people are going to do, even if they get awareness of it, okay? So they say, I lost some weight, I stepped on the scale, and I was lowest I've been in years. And all of a sudden I wanted to eat everything. Now what 99 of people are gonna do at that point is gonna say, what the hell is wrong with me? What is wrong with me? What is wrong with me? And they're gonna get obsessed on what's wrong with them. They'll never find a solution. So I asked her, I said, what would you. How do you want to respond when you step on the scale and it's lower than you've ever seen? How do you want to respond? She goes, I want to pat myself on the back and feel really proud. Then I want to celebrate with some healthy food. And then I want to celebrate by going into the pool and swimming for an hour. I almost broke out in tears. Think about that now. Does that mean that's what she's just. Now she's just going to do that? No, of course not. But think about now. She has a completely different goal now. Let's go visit the other person who's still wondering what's wrong with them. What the fuck's wrong with me? How can I lose weight and then want to eat everything? Am I ever going to be fixed? Oh my God, I'm never going to get. And let's go back to the other person who's now saying, okay, next time I step on the scale, it's lower than I've ever been. I realize sometimes I get a little anxious, so I get a little nervous about it. I want to celebrate. This is awesome. Look at me. Let's go eat something healthy. Let's go get in the pool. To me, I'm putting my money behind that person's success all day long, you know, so again, it's not enough to have awareness. It's not just enough to, you know, be able to kind of center ourselves and ground ourselves. We got to have strategies. We have to have hard and fast strategies we can rely on that we know, get us the results we're looking for. You know, Christy says your program one on one. No, it is not one on one. Well, I really don't even do much one on one anymore. It's 25 grand to work with me for 12 weeks. Just so it's not really an option for a lot of people. However, if you join the program, you can email me. There's a little bit of space what I do. And this is the best value of anything I can offer you. And there is still some space at this price. It's a huge discount is you can work in a group. And so I have a relatively small group at this point. I have a couple different groups, but the one you could join, we have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, coaching calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Tuesday at 4 o', clock, Thursday at 3 o' clock Eastern. And we do them over zoom. And again, I keep the group small enough that I literally work one on one with you. So technically it is one on one. It's just not private. It's in a group setting. But that is the best value it can offer you. And, you know, so if you're interested in that, you can shoot me a message or email me and I will give you information about that. I also had a nutrition coach. I feel like such a failure. Don't feel like a failure. The nutrition coach isn't going to help either. I hate. I'm sorry. But again, your problem, Christy, isn't. It's not so much that you don't know what to do. Just see what I'm saying. Like, I could sit here and I always say this to people, right? Well, you could go see a nutrition coach. You could just see a nutritionist, give them a bunch of money, and have them customize a plan directly for you. It's still not going to help you because the main issue is not a knowledge issue, folks. The main issue isn't that you don't know what to do. Now, don't get me wrong. You can always learn more and tweak things and optimize things, but pretty much anyone here listening to this right now, you know enough about what you should and shouldn't eat to lose weight. The core problem you have always had and will continue to have until you figure it out is how do I get myself to do the things I already know I should? How do I get myself to stop doing the things that are putting the extra weight on? How do I get myself to do the things that get me to my goal and keep me there? And you have no idea how to get yourself to do it. That is the piece that no one ever tells you. If you think of every single diet out there, every single workout program, it's always someone saying, do this. See you later. And you are supposed to use your willpower to force yourself to do it. And willpower is not up for the job. Willpower is not up for the job, folks. And I know you think it is because you've been conditioned, brainwashed by the diet industry your whole life, but willpower doesn't work. If it did, none of us would be here. Think about it. If you were like a robot and you just typed in what you're going to eat all day, and then you just actually did it because you just followed your robot, you wouldn't be here. None of us would be here. You just type in what you're going to eat, eat it, and you'd be at the weight you want to be at. The problem starts when you know what you want to eat, you know what you want to do, and then you can't get yourself to do it because some other part of you compels you to do the wrong thing. What's happening there. As much as you want to lose weight, some part of you keeps compelling you to eat the wrong thing. You know, the more uncomfortable I feel, the more I reach for snacks to soothe. Now I get it, Christy. Again, it's, and that's the part that's the problem with the mindfulness training a lot of times is that the mindfulness is, it's when you're meditating, it's when you're doing the mindfulness exercises, you know, and so it doesn't, you're not using it in your life practically, you know, so the more uncomfortable I feel, the more I reach for snacks to soothe. Because you don't know how to use that mindfulness training in a practical way. So that when you feel uncomfortable, you have the ability to feel more comfortable without food. And there's a lot of ways to do that. So again, it's not about what you know, it's about the strategies you have access to, if that makes sense. But yeah, go get the hypnosis session at the very least and go learn about the program if you're interested because again, I mean, seems super committed. And yeah, if you're really serious, get in the coaching program because that's something that's still a super good deal. It will not be this fall. I don't even know. I, I don't even know if people will be getting into it. It's pretty much right about, I got a few more spaces I'll put people in. But yeah, that's kind of the best thing I can offer you. Ultimately the program's amazing too. But, but yeah, working with one on one is by far the, the best thing. And that's an eight week, you get eight weeks in that group. Kim says, I think the BMI chart is depressing. Don't be depressed by the BMI chart, folks. The BMI chart is based on white middle aged men in Europe. And so it's not, it's not really inclusive for, for women necessarily for people of color, for short people, for bodybuilders or different situations. So don't get upset with the BMI chart because it's important that you realize that in the BMI chart, people in the, the normal, normal range and the overweight range, they've done studies where they're equally as healthy, pretty much the same. When you start getting the obesity range, then you know, the health things start to correlate negatively with that. But in the normal and overweight range that the healthy piece of it seems very similar. And so what that Means is it really just becomes a decision, you know, aesthetically, what do you want to do? Where do you want to live at? You know? But health wise, you know, being in the overweight normal range of a BMI chart for most people is going to be very similar health wise. So at least know that. Mari says, so is your goal weight whatever you're comfortable with yourself, Getting rid of most of the extra BMI chart is all I know. I mean, it's a starting. I mean, again, to me, this is how I describe it, right? So I said, program yourself thin. Thin equals your goal weight. So I use the word thin to mean your goal weight. It doesn't mean a number. It's not a number of a BMI chart or some specific thing. It's the weight that gives you. It's your goal weight. And what's your goal weight? To me, your goal weight should be the weight that gives you the best quality of life. So it's not as easy as just looking at a chart, although we could use the chart as again as a data point. But ultimately, the right goal weight for you is the one that gives you the best quality of life. And in order to figure that out, you've got to look at both sides of the equation, which no one ever does, because what most dieters do is they pick a number that's usually lower than they're willing to live at. And listen, like I just said, it's $25,000 to work with me, okay? So think about someone who forks over 25 grand to work with me. They're clearly smart, intelligent, successful, right? Okay? And they always are. And so these are smart people. I will say to them, why did you choose that weight? Why is that your goal weight? And even these people be like, well, that's what I weigh when I got married. That's what I weighed when I lost weight on Weight Watchers 25 years ago. Oh, that's what I weigh when I was 18. That. That's your. That's your goal. That's why you know, which it reveals. There's not a lot of reason why you asked me. Well, I want to live at my goal weight. I'm gonna go on for hours about the reasons I chose this goal weight. I love it. I love my goal weight. I feel alive, I feel amazing. I feel energized. My body feels strong. I'm not putting a lot of pressure on my joints. I feel like this weight is going to allow me to live the longest. I think gives me the best quality of life. Every day that I'm here, and I just keep going on and on and on and on and on. So again, to figure out the goal weight, again, I got a goal weight quiz. So make sure you're in my, on my email list, because I, I send that out sporadically, and eventually it's going to be in the circle area. You can do it whenever you want. But again, the idea is that you give this number more meaning. You know, the number itself means absolutely nothing to you. Subconsciously. You know, I can't stress this enough, so I'll give you my favorite example. You know, let's just say all of a sudden you wake up tomorrow and they say, you know what? Pounds are out. Pounds and kilograms out. From now on, we're going to measure your body by square inches of skin, right? And say 40 square inches of skin is the, the optimal number for your height right? Now, notice how 40 inches square inches of skin means nothing to you, right? It's just this. What's that mean? Okay, pounds means nothing to you either. It's, it's not an intrinsic goal. No one even measured their weight through all of history. No one. No one was measuring themselves every day. No one had mirrors. No one had pictures. You know what I mean? Like, this idea of, like, what we look like was a lot less important throughout history. The idea of what you weighed meant absolutely nothing until, what, 50 years ago. So it just, it doesn't carry a lot of subconscious value to it now. You having energy, you being successful, your relationships improving, you, you're being happier each and every day. These things have a lot of meaning to you, and they're really important to you. So again, you've got to give your weight loss, your goal weight, much more meaning than you're giving it right now. Because right now you're just thinking of some vague idea. You're thinking of some number and some before and after picture in your mind. Some dress, maybe a picture of you from a million years ago. It just doesn't mean much to you now. And again, this goes back to the motivation piece. You know, Laurie says, I have my voice saying to me this line, which is helping. I used to. When I want a candy bar, I used to. Oh, when I hear me saying I used to, it's helping. And I'm trying to make it my dominant voice now. Yeah, that's great, Lori. That's a great one. I think that's super. And again, that's something we use in the program, because in program yourself, then one of the parts of that we focus in on is your self image. And so, yes, start to make a distinction between, you know, who you are and who you were and who you're becoming. That that's a fundamental part of the program. And again, in dieting, that's never the case. In dieting, you're always the same. You just weigh something else, you know, but again, program yourself. Then I always say it's an inside out approach to living at your goal weight. Dieting is just an outside approach. You know, maybe outside and maybe you think, oh, once I lose the weight, then I'll change. You may not. Why do you think it's estimated 85 to 98% of people that lose weight on a diet put it back on. So how do you explain that they had the motivation, the ambition, the knowledge, the skill to get down the weight and then they put it back on. How does that happen? If being at your goal weight, everything magically fixes itself. Why would they put the weight back on? This is the core issue of a dieter that you have to answer. You know? Yeah. How do we email you for further info? You can email me atjimrogram yourself then.com if you're interested in the coaching. Because right now the coaching, you, you can't even get into it. I don't believe. But so I gotta let, I gotta let people know about that because I am taking a couple more people and the coaching, again, the coaching is without question the most powerful experience you'll ever have with your weight. So, yeah, so you can email at Jim at program yourself. Then you can email me through any of the apps too, like Tick tock, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. So, yeah. Oops, it's insane. Kerbal says thank you so much for your answer in time. That makes perfect sense. Good, I'm glad. Does berberine, what's that, let's say about berberine? Does berberine help you to lose weight? I mean, nothing helps you to lose weight. There's no one thing that's going to help you to lose weight. You got to stop thinking that way. Right? It's like, it's like a hack. But let's. I don't even know what berberine is. Let's look that up real quick. It's a substance found in a variety of plants, including golden seal, barberry, organ, grape and others. Yeah, I don't even care. I'm not even going to read it because I know that's. There's never any one thing. There's no, there's no tea from the Himalayas. There's no berries from the Amazon. There's no powders from Central America that are going to make you lose weight. You've got to stop thinking that way. It's a fundamental shift you have to make in your mindset, lifestyle and eating in order to live at your goal weight. And that's it. That is it. I have studied people that have lost weight and kept it off obsessively for the last 30 years. And there's never once, I've never once seen a person who's hacked their way there. Not, not long term. Again, lots of people do dumb to lose weight, you know, for a little while. I'm talking about people that like, changed, transformed. Now they live at their goal weight. And there's clues. It's never, it's never, oh, they started taking berberine or they started drinking acai berries or whatever, you know what I mean? You got to stop looking at that way because it's a trap, you know, it just again, remember this, right, that diets are get rich quick schemes and get rich quick schemes again. They just prey on your impatience and your desire for fast results and easiness. But they don't, they don't work, you know, so the diets don't work. Again, you can lose weight on them while you're doing it. I'm not arguing that. I'm saying you're not going to stay on a diet. Literally. Think about it. Is this every day? Diets have been around for 100 years, let's say 100 years of diets. There's not a single diet that rises to the top of the pack. That's crazy, isn't it? I mean, don't get me wrong, I mean, like, probably Weight Watchers is probably the best out of the whole bunch of shitty ones. But it's like none of that. There's not one diet that's like, wow, look at everyone. There's not one diet. And again, it's because it's not about the nutritional information. So it's the mindset of a dieter that's the problem. That's why it doesn't matter. This. Don't you find this crazy, that whether you've done keto, it's different as these all are, right? Whether you've done keto, low fat, low carb, low calorie, count your points. Weight Watchers, count your calories. Intermittent fasting, literally anything in there, just literally put them all in one basket. And what's fascinating is that no matter which one you do, it's always the same experience. That you do it intensely for a little while and then you stop doing it completely. It's always the same. And that's how you know it's not the nutritional. Don't get tricked on the window dressing of the diet and the uniqueness, because every diet's one thing. They know you're overwhelmed. So every diet is marketed as one thing. Diets are a product, so they're all marketed around one thing. Keto. Just don't eat carbs. Intermittent fasting. Just don't eat for 16 hours. Weight Watcher. Just count your points. Low fat, just low fat. Mediterranean. Just eat Mediterranean food. It's always one thing to try and make it seem conceptually really simple, but the same problem always exists that when you jump into something 100%, you can do it that way for a little while and then you overwhelm yourself again. The main metaphor I use for you dieters is you dieters are like sprinters in a marathon, right? Imagine you're running a marathon and you got the bright idea that you're going to sprint because that's going to give you a huge head start. And they're going to be way ahead everyone. And the gun goes off and you start sprinting and for the first eighth of a mile you're like, holy shit, this is really working. I'm way ahead of everyone. Oh, my God, I'm going to win this whole race. And the next eighth of a mile you start getting a little tired and then you're trying to sprint and you're slowing down and you're like, oh. Then you get to half a mile and you collapse on the ground and you can't even finish the race. And you're just stuck in this. You just, you just so believe that this is how you do. Well, I was ahead. I was ahead for, for two minutes. I, I was leading the whole Boston Marathon for two minutes. Did I ever tell you the time I led the. Was leaving the Boston Marathon for two? That's what your dieters sound like to me. Well, what place did you finish? Oh, I didn't finish, but I was, I was ahead for the first, you know, who gives a, who cares? So that's how I feel about all the dieters, you know what I mean? Then that, that's like, that's why I mean, like, oh, what was £40 that lost £40 last month on keto? Jim, what do you think of that? I think you're the sprinter who just, you're, you're first place in the eighth mile and who gives A let me know where you're at next year. You could be back with the exact same spot. Jesus. I was just looking at a keto coach. He has a clown anyways, but he, you know, he. He's the perfect example what I'm talking about. Because this guy, like, I don't know, he must have lost some weight a couple years ago on keto, and he's now there. He runs a whole keto group with a lot of people in it, and this guy is easily 60, 70 pounds overweight. And I'm like, what the is going on? You know, it's like, oh, my God. It's like every diet's the same, though. So I'm not just picking on keto, even though it's one of the dumbest ones of all of them. But again, what I'm trying to say is that all the diets are exactly the same because you approach them all the same with that toxic mindset, that toxic diet mindset that makes you fail no matter what the plan is. It does not matter what plan I put in front of you. If you approach it like a dieter, you're pretty much 100% guaranteed to fail. So that's what me thinks. Kayla says, I'm 5 3. How do I pick one? I mean, again, you can look at the. The BMI chart as just a reference point, and then, you know, let's say you're 200 pounds and you look at the BMI chart and it says 150 pounds or 130 pounds. Because the BMI chart for most people, it seems really low. Do you know what I mean? Like, you look at. I'm like, holy. You know, it seems extra low. And so again, what I'm trying to tell you is that. And I know you don't want to because of course, you just want to pick the middle number, right? That smack dab in the middle. But it's like that. That chart is not the. It's a reference point and it's an imperfect one. Okay? So I think it's. I think. But I think it's. There is data to it, Jimmy. Like, again, if. If you are in the ballpark now, if you're short like that, again, it's not. It's not the greatest. You know what I mean? If you're a woman, it's not the greatest. If you're a person of color, it's really not the greatest. It's not really accurate for what you think it is, right? Because you're thinking, okay, at that weight, I'm gonna be the healthiest. And they're finding out that's not true, you know, so again, as long as you're in the overweight to normal. Normal overweight range, in my opinion, you're probably gonna be okay health wise. And now the question just becomes, well, what weight do you want to live at now? Oh, the lowest weight possible. No, you. You can't just say that. You've got to take into account how you're willing to eat and live, too. It's like saying, I'll be a millionaire. I want to be a millionaire. Okay, well, you got to work extra. You got to work more than 40 hours. Oh, I don't want to do that. You know what I mean? That's what a lot of dieters are like. They'll pick this really low number, but in order to live that number, it's like a really intense, you know, way to make that happen. Really intense. And most people aren't up to doing that, you know, and there's nothing wrong with that. But. But then choose the number you're willing to live at. That's what sets you up for much more success. Yeah. Regina says this live makes so much sense. It does. I know. This is what I do all day. This is why I love my. I say this all the time. I am literally the luckiest person on the planet. I really. I may be. And I just. My life has been truly blessed, and this is a big part of it. I absolutely love this work because again, for me, this is my mission. Because weight to me is not just wearing skinny jeans or wearing a bathing suit to the beach. I want you to do that. That's fun. Okay. Knock yourself out. But for me, weights, life and death, you know, My dad died of 54 of a heart attack. So for me, weight is like. It's the ultimate thing, you know? And so that's why I do this for free every day. You know, I'm here every Monday through Friday because literally, I think, you know, the diet industry, the. The food processing industry, the medical industry, to some degree, they have really screwed us, you know, just like the cigarette companies. They are the cigarette companies, by the way, just so you know, the cigarette companies and the food companies are the same thing, and the diet companies are the branch of the food companies. So it's. It's a tangled, nasty, deceitful web that we live in. But so it's my mission in life to, you know, at least do my part to kind of shine some light on this, because, again, it's not. It's not just a little thing. It's not just this vain thing about wanting to look better in my world, it's about truly wanting to be the best version of yourself. You know, in order to be the best version of yourself, you've got to get control over your weight, because your weight is a reflection of how you're eating and living. And so if you're eating and living, if you're overdoing it now, your weight's overweight, most likely, you know, and again, it's. It's relative, so I'm not going to sit here and tell you what the number is. But if you're feeling tired or frustrated or, you know, embarrassed or unhappy with your weight, how can you be the best version of yourself? Do you know what I'm saying? So it's like feeling good about yourself. Feeling good physically, mentally, emotionally, to me, is. Is the foundational starting point of being able to live the best quality life you can live. I don't know how you can live the best quality life you live if you're always upset with how you look and feel. You see, I mean, but. But it's not about how you look. It's not me saying, oh, you, you don't deserve to have a good quality life because you're fat. It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with how do you feel? How are you living? What's going on in your head, your body, day after day? And so it's not about how you look, it's about literally what. How are you living your life? What's your life looking like because of this, you know, and, and again, to me, the most frustrating part of all of it is that the dieter beats themselves up. They blame themselves for not losing the weight instead of the diet. And that's the part that really does break my heart, I would say, because it's the diet, folks. When something fails, 98% of the time, it's not you, it's the strategy. Dieting does not work. It open and shut, case closed. And so if you keep doing it, well, I guess, you know, you can blame yourself that. But I don't even blame you then, because what else are you going to do? That's why I'm out here every day, because you don't even have any alternatives. Yeah, you, you know, in hypnosis, we call it the double bind, which is basically say, you know, hey, do you want to take that trash out now or do you want to take it out next hour? Right. So it's like it sounds like I'm giving you a choice, but they both involve you taking the trash out, right? So that's called a double bind. So there's basically the diet bind. And what that is there's 50 different diets and they all seem different, but they're all exactly the same, you see? And so you think, well, I'll just choose a different diet. But no, you're choosing to do the exact same thing again. Again, again. And that's why you're never getting new results. And so I get out here every day and give a bunch of shit away for free just to show you that there is a completely different approach and it makes logical sense. You know, I always think of like program yourself into me is like college for weight mastery. And you always say like, you know, you could, you could have no, like mechanical ability, you could have no plumbing ability, no number ability, right? None of those things. You could go to mechanic school, plumbing school, accounting school. And if you stayed through the whole thing, you'd come out the other end a mechanic, a plumber and an accountant, regardless of what you started with aptitude wise, right? Because you'd break it down, you do it, you'd practice it, you'd learn it, you'd have support and you'd end up the other side knowing how to do those things. And that's how I think of program yourself thin. So we have like, okay, how do I get run my mindset? How do I think like a thin healthy person? How do I live like a thin healthy person? How do I eat like a thin healthy person? That works for me. And now how do I get myself to do those things? Break it down and you learn it and you practice it. It's not rocket science, but you've never ever once in your life had a real strategic plan to deal with your weight. It's really, you're just winging it. You just, you grab a piece of paper, look at it. So, okay, I'm going to do this. Okay, well, how are you going to deal with your emotions? How are you going to deal with your mindset? How are you going to deal with your motivation? How are you going to deal with your habits? How are we going to deal with your thinking? How are you going to maintain it? I don't need any of that. I'm just gonna do it. What happened the last 20 times you tried doing it? I did it for a little while and I quit. Why would this time be any different? Yeah, says what would tell. What would tell? College graduates that are Used to walking miles around campus. Now have desk jobs. Oh, yeah, yeah, sure. I mean, yeah. Hey, life change. Listen, I used to work. I. When I first started my first hypnosis office, right before that I was. I was managing a restaurant and bartending part time. So I was literally walking. You know, I don't know, I'd have a step counters back then, but I was probably walking 20,000 steps every day, you know. And then now I work all day at a desk. So I get you, I get you. Things change, you know what I mean? Like, you need to have the ability to adapt and change, change with them. Just another reason why diets don't work. Diets are so rigid and strict, right? So the second. And you've had this, I bet you've all had this experience. You get some. You get some momentum with a diet, right? You really kind of get yourself locked in. You get start getting results and then something in your life changes and then all of a sudden the diet just disappears, you know, and so that, that's life. You know what I mean? Again, that's why I say the goal for me is not for you to lose weight. It's to live at your goal weight. And part of the ability to be able to do that is the ability to be able to adjust, to adapt, to flow. And you have none of that with diets, you know, so. So I get it, Regina. I totally get that. Things changing, you got to be able to adapt with them. You know, Coke, Fant says. What's this live all about? Ah, weight loss. Good luck with that. That's what I mean though, you know, people are just already. And that's the problem you all have to deal with now, you know, is that you're so apathetic with it, right? But again, what I'm trying to tell you is the main reason you're apathetic is because you've been given the illusion of choice. You think you've tried all the diets and none of them work. So you must be the problem when in reality all the diets are exactly the same and they don't work for anyone. And so the fact that they haven't worked for you has nothing to do with you and has everything to do with the poverty of options you even know about in order to change your weight. Right? Back to the point again. Listen, I can prove this to you in two seconds because I know you all have been spending decades, at least you've been spending decades obsessed with your weight. Obsessed. And I know that, I know the people that. Listen to me. I know you listen to podcasts all the times. I know you've read books. I know you've tried tons of diets. I know you've hired coaches. I know you've taken so much action. Okay, but as much action as you've taken and as much as you've read and learned and all the rest of it, have you ever defined your goal not as just wanting to lose weight, but as wanting to get to your goal weight and then live there for the rest of your life on your autopilot? Have you ever even gotten within 10 miles of articulating that goal? And I know the answer is no. And I'm here to tell you that is why you feel so apathetic, because you've been literally brainwashed. You're living in a mental prison put there by the diet industry that is trapping you with how you think about this whole thing so that you can only think about weight loss like a dieter. And it's got you trapped, and that's why you feel trapped. You. I don't know what to do. Jesus Christ. No matter what I do, I can't get the results. No, no. No matter what diet you do, you're gonna get the same results, but if you do different stuff, you're gonna get different results. How do I know this, folks? Every day I work with people that have been trying to lose weight forever, and then I start working when they lose weight and stay there. So, again, I just want to be clear. I didn't just wake up today and decide I want to talk about weight. You know what I mean? Like, I literally. I've been doing this for 30. Over 30 years personally and over 20 years professionally. And along the way, I've done 6,000 private weight loss sessions. You know, I got testimonials coming out of my ears. This works. You know, and so again, I get on here just to. Again, just to wake you up to the idea that there could be a better way. You know, but you got to let go of the old diet mentality a bit. Kayla goes, what? BMI lied? Yeah, bmi. I wouldn't say it lied so much, but it. It bullshitted us. You know, we were kind of, like, led to believe that the BMI just, you know, look at your height, whatever, just do it. But, you know, it's not representative of all populations. You know, Again, it was. It was initially based on. I forget what country it was, but some Nordic country, I think, but. But it was based on men in that country between the ages of like, you know, 30 and 60 or something. So it's not representative to all the people. So again, what it says, meaning you may be a woman, you may be short, you may be a person of color, and you look at it and you're like, holy, that, that's really low for me. Yeah, it may be low for you because it's not, it wasn't really built for you. It's not based on the population that looks like you. So you're, you're right. If it was based on your people that look like you, it might be a little higher and you might feel a lot better about it. That, that's what I'm trying to say. So don't take that BMI number as the end all be all, especially if you're getting one of those groups. You know, if you're a middle aged white man, then, then it's a bit more accurate. Okay? But if you're not, you know, and again, if you're average height, you know, build, white man, middle aged man, then the BMI is relatively accurate. But if you're not, then it's not as accurate, you know, so again, just you bring that in and you know, do that. He says, do a special with Oprah. I know, I always wonder that people have been talking about that forever. It was so funny. And I wonder how she's her whole big GLP one thing. I love Oprah. I love Oprah, but I don't know. I never know what's real or not with her. But she did that GLP1 thing and that was kind of ridiculous to me. But I wonder how she's doing. You know what? She probably, I don't know, maybe she knows she's Oprah. So you think she just knows everything. But One thing about GLP1s that most people don't know is that in all the studies they've done of GLP1s up until now, the weight loss shows up for about 16 months and then it always stabilizes. So, you know, I always say in my mind it's probably going to be about the end of this year is where we're going to start to get critical mass, where a lot of the people that have been on Ozempic or GLP1s for the last, you know, 16 months, I think a critical mass is going to get there right around December. And then I'm really curious to see where that goes because I think a lot of people don't know that. And so if you're obese and you started with this There's a good chance you'll never get down to your goal weight because there just won't be the time to make it happen. And then the other people, I'm curious to know, if they don't get to the weight, they want to be at that now. They're looking at literally a lifetime of not being able to get there and of injecting themselves and paying this money forever. So I am curious to see what the, what the sentiment and the response is when people start to recognize this. Because again, to me, it's like these GLP1s, this is probably the best we're ever going to think about them. I don't know, you know, you never know. But just based on all weight loss stuff of history, it comes in with all these promises in like a line, out like a lamb. Now, GLP1s are different, there's no question. GLP1s are different than anything that's come before it. I don't doubt that. However, we also don't have at scale studies of populations that are not type 2 diabetic taking this drug for long periods of time. They did not do those studies. And so again, I hope everything's cool and safe, but the point is we don't really know, you know, what, what the negative effects could possibly be long term. And I think when things start out, the companies really have a strong ability to frame things very positively. And part of that is because there's not the negative evidence yet. And so I am curious to see over the next six months to a year, you know, what we learn about them and how people respond to them when they start to get to that phase of it. I'm curious about that. So the homeschool mom says, what's the best strategy then? I think the best strategy is that you learn how to think, live and eat like a thin, healthy person. So again, right away, that's a completely different approach than dieting. Because dieting, you're not trying to change your thinking, living or reading. Well, you're changing your eating, but you're just, you're just forcing yourself to do it. So you're basically, when you're dieting, you're not trying to think, live and eat like a thin, healthy person. You're, you're trying to not eat like an overweight person. And you try and not do that until you get your goal weight down and then it's really hard to keep it up. And there's a lot of reasons why. Psychologically, there's some physical ones too. Again, Weight set point theory does have some validity to it, but I think it's missing a whole lot of context. And I think the psychological pieces of the weight set point are way more important than the physiological ones. But the Oprah looks phenomenal still. Yeah, great. Again, I, I, I don't care. I mean, you know what I mean, like, to each their own. So again, there's no judgment here, you know, I'll never judge anyone's path. Do what you're gonna do. So good for Oprah, you know. But again, yeah, good of her. Yeah, there you go. Mary Lee just said that I stopped it when I stopped losing the weight. Yes, exactly. That's so that's what I mean. And no one knows about this, you know what I mean? Like, you really gotta research it a bit to find that out. So, you know, just as you, this is what I mean. Again, I'm not saying it's, it's some bad thing's gonna happen from it. I, I don't expect that. They've been studying GLP1s for a long time now. It's with specific populations, type 2 diabetics. But I, you know, I, I do believe most likely this, there won't be like some big problem that happens and I hope not. But again, but listen, it's a product and they're gonna put it out there in the best light possible and they're gonna, you know, withhold the shit that doesn't make it look the best. And one of the biggest things of all is again, that it's about 16 months of weight loss, you know, and again, so anyways, and that's everyone. So, so again, I mean, like, like the average person's going to lose weight on this. There's a big percentage of people that don't lose weight on it, you know, that that's a whole other thing too. But everyone gets to 16 months and stops losing weight. And once you stop losing weight, the motivation to, you know, inject yourself all the time and pay that money, you. Yeah, this starts to go down, you know, and so, I don't know, we'll just see. But I don't think GLP ones, I have a sense I could be wrong. I got a feeling that next year at this time, I think the shine's going to be taken off the GLP one a little bit. I, I think that, I don't know. But you know, the shine won't be taken off of Program Yourself then. The shine's going to be even brighter on Program Yourself then the people that Are using it right now will be another year into it, another year better, another year, you know, evolved into it. So there's no worries about that, you know. So anyways, I appreciate you saying that, Mary Lee, because I like. Yeah. Then gained all 20 pounds back. Yep. Plus 30 pounds. I'm the heaviest I ever been now. I'm so sorry, Mary Lee. That is the part that, that's the. That breaks my heart all the time, is people that actually do all the work and put the work in to lose the weight and then put it back on. And it's because, listen, dieting is not maintaining. You know, you can always ask a dieter who's actively losing, what are you going to do once you get to your goal weight? And they will usually not want to talk about it, but it'll. Basically, their answer will be something like, I'll figure it out. Then, you know, program yourself. Then we start day one focused on maintenance, because that's the whole focus of the program, is living at your goal weight. And so the idea that you're going to diet yourself crazy and then maintain. I know you believe it. You believe it in your heart. But, but, you know, again, 98% of people, 85 to 98% of people that lose weight on diet put it back on. So even though you really feel like you're going to figure it out this time, statistics say you're probably not. And why not? Again, remember this, that what happens is most people trade the pleasure and excitement of the food for the pleasure and excitement of the scale going down. Okay? So they trade that and say, so I'm not going to eat the food because I want that scale to go down. But eventually you get to your goal weight, and now where's your excitement and pleasure come from? Because now you don't got the food and now you don't got the scale to look forward to going down. So where's your motivation coming from? And on top of that, you know, we're. We're fed this fairy tale of weight loss from the time we're little kids about how once you lose, once you get to your goal weight, everything's magical and happy. And look at, look at the commercials and people dancing through fields and, you know, balloons and sitting bathtubs or whatever. That's the other commercials. But, you know, it's just, they're always putting this imagery in our mind that once you get your goal weight, everything is just like a party and everything's amazing and solved, done and done. Don't think about your weight anymore. It's manipulation. It's trickery. It's not true. Okay? So, you know, you get to your goal weight, and what. What starts to happen is now all of a sudden, you don't have the excitement of the scale going down. You don't have the excitement of this magical state, because now you're here and you're like, oh, oh, I'm still fighting with my spouse. Oh, my boss is still an. Oh, I still got to drive to work in traffic. And you start to say, oh, you don't have that. That fantasy land to look forward to. Not to depress you. Well, I don't mean to, but come on, we got to talk like adults here, because too many people get to their goal and then put it back on. So we got to talk about it a little bit, even though I know it sounds discouraging to you, and I hope it is, because if it stops you from doing a diet, then great, my job's done here, you know? Because you know what? You're better off just not losing the weight than losing and putting it back on. You know, do a merrily. And that's what I'm hearing now. I haven't. Not. I've worked with a number of people on GLP1s that, you know, so. So it's like. But I have not worked with a lot of people have done GLP1s that have had the negative experience yet, okay? But I've had a couple of them, and basically, you know, they'll do it. They don't feel good at all. They may start losing some weight, but it's just not working for them. They don't feel good because again, understand that a lot of times you GLP1 it makes you a. It reduces your pleasure, okay? And it makes you feel full. And so it's a different way to go through life, you know, a little bit. And I think now, again, it's not like this for everyone. So I'm not saying everyone's going to experience this, but, you know, it's almost like when people back in the day, especially the early days, would do some certain antidepressants. And yeah, they were less depressed, but they were also number. So they were less depressed, but they also weren't able to get as happy. I don't know if you remember that the GLP1S model that a little bit, because part of what they do is they do make you feel fuller than you naturally would have been because they increase the GLP1 hormone in your body. But it also. You have GLP1 receptors in your brain too, and it affects pleasure in reward experience. Now again, when you want to lose weight, that's great, right? Because you say, I'm not, I'm not as rewarded when I eat the food. I don't get as much pleasure out of it. It's not as much of a reward that I experience from it, and I'm not as hungry as much. And that sounds great for weight loss. Fine. But you have to understand that now when you go out to a special meal, you don't enjoy it as much as you used to enjoy it either, you know, and you don't want to eat as much of it anymore. You say, well, that's great, Jim. I want to live lighter. I, I get that too. But you know, it has a muting effect. And there's no question about that. For most people, it's got a muting effect. And so again, the, the weight loss and all the benefits from that, a lot of times can outweigh that. I'm not, I'm not arguing that, but I am saying that this is another factor that, you know, again, that you're not really, most people aren't really thinking about. You know what I mean? Will be your group of peeps to gather all the GLP one and send them to you. Yeah, for sure. I love it. And again, I have no problem with it. I mean, I've had a number of people that, so I'm on the GLP ones. I'm gonna do the program to kind of get my mindset, my strategies in place while I'm doing this. That's fine. You know what I mean? That's fine. I would rather you just do the program without that at all. So we can just start with where we're at and have a one path plan. But, you know, whatever. There's a million different ways to, to, you know, live this life. So whatever works for people. But I'm sorry, Mary Lee. And that sucks. And I know that's so discouraging. I literally, I'm working with someone right now who's in the program. I think she's here right now. But it's. She was on WeGovy and this was kind of the beginning. So she was one of the first. Right. She's motivated, very, you know, motivated person. And she was on with Govi probably a year and a half ago. So she was literally one of the first kind of people, non type 2 diabetic to do it. But she, it was very unpleasant for her. You know, she had very kind of negative reactions to it. Did lose weight, you know, I mean, got down to a much lower weight. But the. The side effects or the effects. Right. They're not side effects. Okay. But the effects got to be too much. And she. She got off it and the wake went up. Right. And so she's been. She's been with me now. I think maybe she's been in the program for like eight months, nine months, somewhere in that ballpark. But now she's. She's at a lower than she was at her lowest weight, Wegovy, but she's not on any Wegovy. Okay. And she's not only losing weight, but she's developing personally as well. She's thinking more clearly. Because again, in program yourself, then you have to understand we take weight loss rapid and personal development. So it's not just about weight loss. And in all honesty, it's. It's really a personal development program. So it's less about getting to a certain goal weight and more about being the person you want to be. Who weighs this to be the person you want to be? You see what I mean? And we frame it this way very specifically because we make the weight almost like a side quest. And that's actually important. That's just another piece of psychology for you that ironically, when you fixate on something so strongly, sometimes it can have a counterintuitive effect. I don't want to go in the details of that right now, but. So when we focus on being the person we want to be, that's a much more congruent and clearer goal that our mind loves. And the weight's still part of that goal, but now it's not the main focus. And that's really important because once you get to your goal weight, you need to have something that keeps pulling you forward. And it can't be the weight, right? Because eventually you get to a point where the weight just stops. Listen, I've been the same way for 30 years. I had one blip 13 years ago, 25 pounds. But I'm at the same weight. So it's not exciting for me to step on the scale. I'm not motivated by seeing weight loss on the scale anymore. I'm at a weight. Listen, your goal is to get to a plateau. I mean, like, that's a weird way to think about it, but you're really. What you're looking to do is you're looking to live at the ultimate plateau, which is a lower number than what you typically live at, you know, but again, you're going to get this plateau. So, you know, you're really looking to eliminate the highs and lows of the weight thing. And so when you do that, though, you need to have something else. That's what's pulling you forward. If it's not the weight loss and this magical reality you're going to live to, once you lose all the weight, what's going to pull you forward? How do I motivate myself when there's no weight loss happening now? Okay, I can't look forward to any weight loss, so how do I motivate myself to make good food choices? So, for me, it's the personal development piece, you know, so again, I got a lot of things I want to do in my life that are really important to me in the way I eat and my weight and how I feel are fundamentally, you know, important to how I'm able to achieve those things. So anyways, you know, so anyway, she. She's way better off. And by the way, she's still losing weight, you know, so again, I think she'll. She'll well be at her goal weight within 16 weeks or 16 months anyways. But again, she's now got a strategy for how to think, live and eat like a thin, healthy person. And she's still refining and tweaking it, but now she's literally at a weight lower than she was at her lowest weight on Wegovy, where she felt sick all the time, felt like had to inject herself, had to pay that money. So you tell me which one's better, you know, which one's superior. So I'm sorry, Mary Lee, but again, it ain't over yet. Mary Lee, Okay. What I would suggest to you, and I know it feels, it's so frustrating, and this is, this is the part that gets me the most, is it's so devastating when you put so much effort into something. And by the way, being on the GLP1s is not the easy. It's not like just some magical thing, you know, I know it took a lot of work to inject yourself, to deal with all the effects of it, and to still do the things you need to do to lose the weight. So, again, nice job taking action, but please do your best to look at this as hopefully the final learning piece. You need to stop with the diets, to stop with the injections, and to really just take this on in a way that from this point forward, you're going to build up your success again. If you approach this, like, college, like where you start kind of small, here's an example. Like in program yourself, then we don't start. You're not going to start day one by changing all your eating. That is the dumbest shit I've ever heard in a diet. Like, you're going to wake up Monday and completely change your reading. That's a silly strategy in my book. So in programming yourself, then, what we're going to do is we're going to find your highest calorie habit. What's the habit that shows up daily or multiple times a week where you're putting the most calories into your body Might be late night snacking, overeating at dinner, grazing in the afternoon, whatever it may be. We focus on that and we fixate and work on that, finding solutions and strategies that help you resolve it comfortably, easily. And once you have that, then we move on the next one. You see the difference, right? You're going to try and change everything all at once and it's going to last for a couple days or weeks this way. Here we're genuinely resolving the problem. It's night and day, you know, and the beauty of that is that it's not overwhelming. You know, that's the main thing you got to look at is your approach to weight loss is always overwhelming. You. Every diet overwhelms you. It's so much all of a sudden, you know, so. Yeah, sorry, Mary Lee. So make sure you get my world, though, please, Merrily. Because I'm telling you, like it's. It's such exciting times. And program yourself then. I can't even tell you, things are just moving at the speed of light here. I just recently, I've spent the last three, four months, I redid the. The goal weight blueprints, right? Your mindset, lifestyle, eating. It's a whole workbook that you go through in the program and it's literally your roadmap to get to your goal weight and live there for the rest of your life. And then there's the program yourself then technique, the rehearsal technique, which I show you how to program your mind. Then there's a whole support system. And that's what's been really cool, too. We got the Circle app now, and that's what I'm busy working on. I can't wait. People that are in the program, I'm going to do this today is you're going to get access to your new coaches and bots, right? What's that mean? This is a cool thing that Circle's doing where you're. Now, you all know about Lumi, you Got Lumi already as a program guide in the program, but now you're going to have a eating coach, a lifestyle coach, a mindset coach, a bounce back bot, and a combo. And you can use these whenever you want to use their services. And so you can literally talk to them and use them as a coach, you know, and that's in addition to having Jim AI, there's literally a version of me. It's an AI clone of me. And you can literally talk to it, you know, and you can do, like, deep coaching with that one. And so it's exciting. And again, I'm putting a whole free section together as well for people that aren't even in the program. This is going to help you. So, again, I understand, you know, I'm here to help everyone. I do have a program. But even if you're not in that, I'm still here to help you. And having the Circle app available to you, which I believe for free, should be available tomorrow, Saturday or early next week, you know, but once you get in there, you're just going to have access to a lot of tools that are going to support you as well. So anyways, super Exciting says thank you. We are working on just moving around, more walking and stuff. Got to get motivated again. Yep, I get it. You're very motivating. I'm following after seeing a video, you said, stop thinking about my weight. Yeah, super, Mary Lee. Yeah, exactly. And make sure you get on my list. I think, again, I give you lots of stuff. And the cool thing is, like, with this Circle app, I'm going to be able to deliver you this stuff in a much better way. Okay. And that's what's really exciting for me with Program Yourself Then is that I'm an example. This I've been. I've been doing Program Yourself then for over 20 years. You know, it's so crazy. I should print up the thing. I got it somewhere. I'm not gonna find it now, but I should show you the first ad I ever made for Program Yourself. Then I'm gonna find it and show it to you all. I've literally been doing this for over 20 years. Program yourself then. And it's not always been easy, you know what I mean? Because I kind of make my own lane. But I will tell you again, if there's ever proof of, like, sticking with something and that being the secret sauce to success, because now I've created literally, literally hundreds and hundreds of presentations. I've done hundreds and hundreds of trainings like, like, I've Got. I've done multiannual year programs where every day you get stuff. You know, it's like, I've done so much content and sometimes it's kind of overwhelming. But now, like, with the AI technology they have, it can basically utilize all that and it can help you with whatever you need in the moment by referencing that. So, you know, in one way it could. Oh, my God, it's overwhelming to go through it all. But now with the AI bots that they have, it can use all that and just deliver to you what's practical and relevant to you in the moment with whatever you're dealing with. And this is a game changer. And it's so exciting because that's kind of the next phase for me. A lot of program yourself then. I've always offered it as a course, but primarily my main value I can offer you has been through coaching. And now with some of the technology, I'm now able to kind of bridge that divide. So that again, because I know financially it's not doable for a lot of people to work with me, and I just, you know, capacity too. And so now the technology is getting to a place where it's really able to almost replicate a lot of the coaching. Not all of it. I mean, work with me is work with me, you know, but my AI clone, you know, you know, my clients use that. It's. It's crazy. It's literally like talking to me and people use in all different ways and directions, and it's really, really valuable. So again, that's just another piece of program yourself then that's really important is the support aspect of it. You know, again, the idea that you're just going to, on your own, completely change yourself all by yourself. Like, I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's very difficult. You know what I mean? And it's very difficult to do that. So having the right support system, you know, you look at college, you know, if you went. If you said, I'm going to go do all the college work by myself, well, maybe you will, right? And if you, if you would go, go to Coursera, you can take all these courses for free, but most people need the support system, you know, the teacher of study groups of other students, you know, the TAs. And you need the support system to kind of help you get through these challenging things, because learning new things is challenging, you know, and so the support system is important. But again, like I said, I got to. I got a bunch of free stuff coming too. And I'm so excited about that because it's just. It's super exciting. So, anyways, enough of that. Thanks, Jim, for doing this every day for us. You're welcome, Deb. Again, I love doing it. So it's like, you know, don't get me wrong, there's always other things I could do. I got a lot of work to do, but I genuinely enjoy doing this and I love talking to you all about this as well. Funny girl says I emailed you for additional info. Oh, great. Funny Girl. Yeah, I'll send that back to you. Give me. Give me a few hours here and I'll get back to you. And Regina says excellent information. Thank you. Yeah, you're welcome, Regina. I appreciate you saying that. Yeah, it's a pleasure to get out here again. And I know that, you know, hearing this stuff from a different angle can be so helpful, so I'm glad you all get to hear it. So. All right. I gotta get out of here, though. Again, if you're not my world, make sure you click on the link in my bio or go to program yourself then dot com. You can get the free hypnosis session there. And then once you're on my list, I'll send you a bunch of cool stuff over the next week or so. And this I do every day. So every day I'm here Monday through Friday is around noon Eastern, between noon and 12:30 Eastern. So get on here and ask questions, whatever you're struggling with or questioning, send it over. You know, let me. Let me try and help. Let me take a swing at it. I can usually give you a different perspective than you're thinking. And if you like this and you miss it, the live, it's also a podcast program yourself then you can listen to that and anytime you want, go to any major podcast platform, search program yourself then, and boop up, there it is, and you can listen to it. So. All right, everyone, have super duper day and we'll talk soon. Bye.
