If you're struggling to lose weight, I promise you, at least part of the problem is that you subconsciously want to be overweight. So why would your subconscious mind want you to be overweight? Well, technically, it doesn't want you to be overweight. It just associates being overweight with a positive outcome. And one of the most common examples of this is women, clients of mine, who are keeping the weight on because they feel like it protects them from the attention of men, and so it makes them feel more secure. And so there can be lots of things like this. You may not want to lose the weight because you feel like you'll have loose skin and you'll look worse. You may think if you lose weight, you're going to become sick. It goes on and on. But you need to recognize, are there reasons why you want to be overweight? Because you need to recognize them, bring them to the surface and resolve them. Because once you do resolve them, once you realize that you can feel safe and secure at your goal weight, that you can look even better at your goal weight, that you can feel healthier at your goal weight, it makes everything much, much easier.
