Losing Weight On Vacation

This is a YouTube video titled "Losing Weight On Vacation" created on August 2, 2025. The content likely discusses strategies or experiences related to maintaining or losing weight while on vacation. No conversational elements or multiple speakers are indicated in the excerpt.
Everyone, welcome to today's program Yourself Thin Podcast. Today we're talking about losing weight on vacation. Talking about this because I'm about to go on vacation. And so when you go on vacation, a lot of people, it's a big struggle for them, right, because it's very difficult to lose weight on vacation. So my first suggestion is to not try and lose weight on vacation because a lot of times it's not going to work anyways and you're just going to end the vacation being frustrated and annoyed that you didn't enjoy yourself. So for me, the way that I look at vacations is I'm looking to minimize the damage, right? So I know I'm going to eat and drink stuff I don't normally do and I'm gonna enjoy myself. At the same time, I'm gonna do it in a way where I don't go way overboard and feel like, right, so I'm looking for that sweet spot where can I get the most pleasure possible. And so, so how do you do this now? Again, it's not a hard thing to do necessarily. The hardest part of it, I think, is getting your mindset in the right place. Because of course, most dieters think in an all or nothing fashion. And so a lot of times dieters are going to go into their vacation if they're been on track and have been losing weight, they're going to go into their vacation and they're going to say, okay, I gotta stick to it. I gotta really, you know, white knuckle it. And if you do that, you know, you may get through the week doing that, but again, you're gonna get the end of it, typically. And you're gonna feel like you wasted your vacation sometimes, right? So again, if you want to do that, knock yourself out. Sometimes you're just so in the zone that that's easy to do, fine, okay? But if you feel like you're struggling, if you feel like you're really white knuckling to get through it, again, I really strongly suggest that you start reflecting and considering this approach. But of course, this does require that we don't think black or white. We want to really inhabit the gray area in order to do this. Meaning I'm not going to be perfect and I'm also not going to be completely just off the reservation. I'm looking to minimize the damage by enjoying myself moderately. That's kind of my goal. And as part of that, I'm okay if I put a couple pounds on during the vacation. I don't mind because I Know that my vacation mode is an outlier mode. I know that the way, you know, what I'm doing, what I'm eating, what I'm drinking, how I'm living is not my normal. And so I know now, again, I have the benefit now of having done this for many years. But I know when I get back on Monday, I will fold right back into my normal routine. Now, that being said, I also am preparing to have one or two re entry weeks, you know, so again, I'm not going to be, you know, right on track, go on vacation and you know, be doing my vacation thing and then expect Monday. I'm right back on track where I was. Okay? I have not found myself able to do that. So what I will do is on Monday I will come back and I will start committing to the core structures of my eating plan, of my lifestyle plan, and then I will work to get those right back to where I'm at now, you know, over a week or two. So I give myself a little bit of time and I hope you hear what I'm saying because really what I'm coming at this with is a sense of strategy, a sense of truly appreciating the situation. And I think a lot of times with dieting we kind of convince ourselves that we've got to do things a certain way. And it feels like a real struggle, a real fight. So again, so the idea, I guess what I'm saying is I kind of tricked you a little bit in the sense that losing weight during vacation, it's not really happening like losing weight during vacation. I'm not trying to lose weight during the vacation. Do you understand? I'm going to use my vacation very strategically to support my weight loss overall. Okay? So in order to understand how I'm using my vacation to lose weight, we've got to zoom out because I am not going to lose weight during the week. I'm gone during the week, I'm on vacation. I'm almost guaranteed I'm going to gain weight, I'm going to put weight on during the vacation. What I'm saying is how do I use that week of vacation where my weight goes up to control my weight over the year? That's what I'm suggesting to you. And so for me, the vacation is important because I'm going to blow off steam. I'm just going to relax, relax, relax and I am going to enjoy myself. But I don't want to go too far because I don't want to feel like. But using that and knowing that I can go and enjoy myself on vacation because my weight's under control. I don't care if I put five pounds on during the week because I know when I get back to my normal routine, those five pounds are going to come off. And so I'm going to allow myself and give myself the space on vacation to truly enjoy myself. And I think that's really important, you know, because again, at the end of the day, your goal is not to lose weight. Your goal is to have the best quality of life you can possibly have. And again, the idea that. Excuse me, the idea that you're going to go on vacation and not eat anything you like and not drink anything you want, if that's what you like to do, that's not improving your quality of life, right? To just to lose two pounds on a vacation and not enjoy yourself is not a good quality of life, in my opinion. So again, when we zoom out, I'm looking for the best quality of life possible. And when I take a year, for example, timeframe into account, you know, being able to go on vacation and enjoy myself and what I want to is really the goal here. So again, I think the secret to losing weight during vacation is that you zoom out and see the big picture and start to look at your weight on a bigger time scale. Because again, it's not about losing weight during that week, it's about losing weight over the year. But the way I'm going into the vacation supports me doing that. So hope that makes sense and hope this helps you out. If you want some more support with this, click the link in my bio. Go get the free hypnosis session and go check that out. And there's a training that goes along with it as well. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. I see a Canadian rn. How's it going from Canada? Nero? What's happening? Oh, there's Denise says kismet. I'm off to California next week. Yeah, there you go. So again, it's that middle space, you know what I mean, where you're not going crazy, but you're also not trying to be perfect. You know, it's that sweet space in the middle that I think gives you the foundation in the setup to succeed long term. And so, like I said, again, if you're totally flowing and on track and you just want to be crystal clear, clean with your vacation, knock yourself out. I'm not really talking to those people. I'm talking to the people that are dreading vacation because they don't want to Eat perfectly or diet throughout. Throughout it, you know, that's what I'm talking to. And this is another alternative for you. And again, I find, I find a lot of wisdom in that gray space, you know, where you're not all or nothing, but you're right in that middle there. What's up, Kim? Happy Friday Vacation coming up in September. Thank you again. Yeah, again, use this and think about it because, you know, listen, the week is not. Here's another piece of the kind of mindset puzzle I think is that that one week is not dictating your weight, you understand? It's. There's more going on than just a week. A week of eating. Well, a week of eating like, is not what's going to control your weight. It's what you do consistently, you know, that truly impacts it. So keep that in mind. Keep that vacation in perspective and as I said, enjoy yourself, but occupy that middle space, you know, that seems to be the sweet spot to occupy. It will be for me anyways. So, yeah, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them because this be the last chance you get for a week and I will be gone. So if you're missing me next week, that's where I'll be. Sitting on a beach, sleeping is what I'm looking for. Let me see here. Get. There we go. Yes. What's up, Katie? Katie's here. Can't believe it. He's never on the podcast anymore. Yeah, I don't know, it's funny. I think I'm already in vacation mode. I already. I kind of been in vacation mode. It's not really vacation mode. For two weeks. I've had two weeks of absolute insanity in my life. Relatively good insanity. So. But a lot of insanity, some of it good, some of it challenging, and it's all just kind of compressed down into this couple of weeks. But yeah, so going on vacation, to me, I think I'm already in that mode. I think I'm burnt, burn out. So I'm really ready for it. What's up, Rose? Roses have a month long vacation coming up. I have a plan. Yeah, okay, Rose. So a month long. Yeah, you better have a plan for a month. So a month's a different story than the week, right? So, yeah, if you're going away for a month, absolutely. What I would suggest. And I do the same thing, you know. Now it's very lucky for me because I go to vacation. It's the same place. This, this particular vacation is when I do every year, I go to the same place and I've been literally going there my whole life. So that is an easier situation because I keep optimizing it year over year. But I will give you a. I'll give you a couple of examples of how I optimize my vacation over the years. So one of the first. So I still have my routines. You know, I mean, I still carry a lot of my routines into vacation because I like them. So first off, I will drink. I will drink as much water. I won't drink as much water as I normally do because the water down there is kind of shitty. And so I was kicking around the idea of getting, like, a water pitcher purifier, which I'm going to get tonight, actually. I got to get that. So that's an optimization. So I will drink as much water as I normally do if I get that water filter, which I'm going to get. So there you go. I just literally optimize something right. Right before your eyes. Another thing I do is I will bring my smoothie maker down. So I will make smoothies every morning, and if I'm gone seven days, five of those mornings, I almost guarantee I will have a fruit vegetable smoothie in the morning and pretty much a normal breakfast. I like to eat my normal breakfast even when I'm on vacation. Now I might go and eat croissants and bullshit after that. Okay. But on a foundational level, I will have a smoothie and, you know, Ezekiel toast and peanut butter in my belly. That will happen still as well. I will still meditate every day, even if it's for two minutes. I will meditate every day. I will do my stretching before I go to bed, probably. That is one thing that's a little questionable. Sometimes I don't do it as much, but I have a lot of my routines. I will walk a lot more. I'll be outside a lot more. I'll sleep a lot more. So I'll relax a lot more, breathe a lot more. Just consistently, those things will happen for you. Rose. Start thinking about some of the core aspects of the plan. It's really. To me, it's not so much about eating perfectly because I like to split my eating up into two categories. What I want to do and what I don't want to do. Okay? And so I want to put some fresh food into my body right at the start of the day. And every day, I want to eat some fruit throughout the day. I will eat some salads when I go out occasionally. That's what I want to do. What I don't want to do is I don't want to eat too many French fries. I don't want to eat too many croissants. I don't want to eat too much fried fish sandwiches. I don't want to eat too many of them. You know what I mean? I want to find that sweet spot, you know? And so again, that's kind of like how I suggest you start setting it up and you look for easy wins, you know? I mean, again, once you get yourself out of the all or nothing, you really open yourself up to a much more practical and sustainable approach. And so I think, again, if I try to be perfect, if I try to replicate how I eat at home on vacation, it would be very stressful, you know, and so I'm not trying to do that. But again, I'm not trying to just completely throw everything out either, because then I feel like shit. I don't want to take a week where I'm not drinking my water, you know, I'm not stretching at all. I'm not meditating. I'm not eating any fresh food. I don't want that either. Like, I genuinely don't want it. So it's not white knuckle for me. I don't want to do that. I want to have a base of all those things. And so I exist in the sweet spot, in my opinion, the gray area during vacation. And that gets me through vacation. For my definition, it's the most pleasurable vacation I can have. Is that that Midland spot? I love it. And then when I come back again, I feel balanced. I'm not starting from scratch. It's not like I've gone a week without eating any fresh food or drinking water. I've got all those things under me still. Right. So I would suggest you do the same thing. You know, Michelle says I usually do very well on vacation, but when I get home, the general daily stress sends me to the fridge. Yeah, I get that too, you know, and again, that's another value of holidays and vacations, is sometimes it can help you bring more awareness when you come home to what the challenges you deal with are. Right. And so the daily stresses, the daily stresses for everyone are always an issue, I think, always an important piece of the puzzle. So I think that dealing with daily stress to me is fundamental and foundational to mastering your weight and in program yourself. Then again, we have daily hypnosis sessions literally to help you relax, you know, not just to put good stuff in your head, but to relax every day and deal with that stress. So what's up, Mari? How hard is your program to get to grips with? You'd mentioned recently it's not for the faint hearted. Yeah, it's not for the faint hearted, Mari. And I was thinking, you know, you sent me, you sent me a thing I'd written years ago and I'd forgotten I'd written that. I got to remove it. But I remember one time writing. I literally, when you sent that to me, I was thinking, I remember writing one time that this program's not for you if you already eat well. And that was said as kind of a knee jerk response to someone. So that's not true. I mean, if you eat well, if you think you eat well and you're struggling with your weight, this, this program absolutely helps you. How hard is this program to come to grips with? I don't think it's hard to come to grips with, but it is, it's a commitment. I mean, the workbook is 144 pages. And so it's not, it's. It's content and questions. Okay. And so, yeah, it's going to take you a little while to go through it, but I mean, it's not rocket science either. You know what I mean? But again, my program is for overthinkers, people that listen to a lot of podcasts, journal. You do a lot of right to manage your weight, your, your life, right? When you get into something, you dive into it. That's who this program's for. So, you know, it's not, it's not a, you know, it's not like keto, like, oh, just stop eating carbs. Right? It's like you're diving into this. I think of it like, you know, imagine taking a college course. That's kind of what I would equate it to. And so, you know, you're going through this workbook and there's no, no rush on it, you know, I mean, you can go it in, through it in your own time. It's not like you've got to just go through the workbook and have it finished. You know, what happens is you certainly want to work your way through the mindset piece. And there's six sections there. Motivation, self, image, habits, emotions, thinking, maintenance. You want to work your way through that. So you have all that stuff. The lifestyle piece. You can kind of pick what you want to work on in the moment. There's eight lifestyle habits. You can kind of work through that. You can work on one, and then when you've got that one kind of worked, and then you can go the next one and then you obviously want to go to the eating blueprint, you know, and that, that's three sections and you're going to always work on that. You know, that's you're eating blueprint, the program you're really always working to optimize your eating blueprint because on a physical level you have to get your eating down to get your weight in control. We all know that. Program yourself then follows the goal weight pyramid, mindset, lifestyle, eating. And so the goal weight blueprints just take you through that pyramid strategically and you go through and answer your questions. So you end up with a roadmap of how to get to your goal weight and stay there again, how to have the mindset, the lifestyle and the eating structures that allow you to be at your goal weight and stay there in the easiest, most enjoyable way. So it's not hard to come to grips with. I mean there's just going through that blueprint, you learn the program yourself, then technique that's like a 30 minute training and you use that, that's, you know, again, that's just a 60 second exercise use at night to program your mind. That's really easy. And then you just listen to the hypnosis session. So again, it's, it's a commitment to get through the workbook, no doubt about it. But there's no rush to do it. And when you do it, you know, once you do it, it's pretty easy questions. I mean it's not, it's not math problems, it's just you need to be consistent with it, you know, but if you're that type of person, then you'll, you know, you'll do, you'll do great with it because once you have that, it's, you know, it's, it's the, it's this to me like, like program yourself in especially the goal weight blueprints, it's the roadmap, you know what I mean? It's the structure you follow, you know, so once you know how to think, live and eat like a thin, healthy person in a way that works for you, you've got that forever. None of you have that right now. Again, not to. You've all been dieting, trying to lose weight for 30, 40 years. You don't have any blueprint, you have no roadmap you can follow for how to think, live and eat like a thin, healthy person in a way that works best for you. You never even thought that. So yeah, it takes a lot of effort to figure that out. But once you've got it, it's like gold. I. I don't even know. Like, to me, it's literally, it's. It's what I'm. I'm constantly referencing my own personal blueprint. Constantly. And so it becomes a living, breathing document because it's also diagnostic. Like, once you have it and you feel yourself getting off track, you have an ability to diagnose it. Oh, is it my mindset? Is my lifestyle getting a little sloppy? Has my eating gotten a little off track this way? You know, I mean, now you have the ability to kind of self correct, whereas right now most of you don't because you have this all or nothing thing where you're 100 perfect or you're 100 not thinking about it. And so this allows you to kind of break it down into pieces so that you can, you know, fix it. Because obviously when we break things down, it works better that way. Sasha says great perspective. Thank you. Rose says, I'll continue my 16 hour overnight fast salad for lunch and small portion dinner. Yeah, I'll definitely walk a lot more. Not a big drinker, so not an issue. Hey, nice job, Rose. Rose has lost 28 pounds over the last 14 months. Wow. Your daily motivational words are good for me. That's awesome, Rose. Great job. That's awesome. So clearly, you know, again, Rose, super duper job. And I'm glad you lost 28 pounds. But as I always say that the more impressive part to me is that you've done this for 14 months. The fact that you've stuck with it for 14 months really, you know, kind of starts to imply to me that you found something that really works for you. Okay? So great job. And yeah, whatever you can maintain into your vacation, by the way, comfortably, God bless you. Do it. Okay, that's what I'm saying. But be aware of like how much you have to force yourself. But you know, if you're in the flow with things. Like for me, again, if I have high quality water, I'm always drinking a lot of water every day. That's not hard for me. You know what I mean? But I just realized, and again, this has been an issue. The water quality there sucks. And I just never. I don't know. My dumb ass. Listen, folks, we're all stupid asses in the sense that it's like, it's not a hard solution for me to figure out how to figure out the water thing. I've had brittle water filters that are pitcher water filters. So I don't know why in my Head. I haven't thought I'm gonna bring that. That would change my whole vacation. Because you know what happens, honestly, is I go to this vacation, and by the end of the week, I am somewhat hydrated because I don't really want to drink the water. It's not great. So I don't know why. I don't know why it's taken me. I'm always thinking about optimizing. I've never optimized that one thing until literally just watched me do it 10 minutes ago. But I'm excited now. You know what I mean? Because now I just thought that is literally gonna make my vacation 10 times better for me because I'm drink the out of water. I feel so good when I drink the right amount of water, and that is a little bit. Plus, I'm on the beach and I'm sweating a lot more, you know, I mean, I'm walking a lot more. So I do get dehydrated. I'm drinking a little bit more. So I do get dehydrated. And my stupid ass never really just sat back and thought to the point. This is how dumb I am. Okay, I just want to point this out that, you know, what I did last year and I thought I was so smart for this one is the water's chlorine. So I took the water out and I put in a big pan. And if you let water that's chlorine stay out, open it, it evaporates. The chlorine evaporates a bit. Is it still not great? And so I did that last year, like, oh, fix the water thing. I have a water filter at my house that's out on the faucet. I've had pitcher water filters before, but I just didn't put two and two together. Anyways, I'm glad I know it now because for me, little things like that, it will make my vacation a lot better. So anyways, there you go. You get to see me do that. So, yeah, Rose, good job. You're awesome. You're doing a great job. And, yeah, keep up the big things you're doing, Maintain a lot of those, but then give yourself a little bit of leeway to enjoy yourself a little bit more too, right? So again, it's that gray space. Nice job, though. Mari says. Thank you, Jim. Fucking gold. Yeah, exactly. Well, it is fucking gold. I cannot even imagine. Cannot even imagine. I cannot even try and imagine trying to control your weight without my plan. I really. I. Maybe I'm delusional. My plan is, in my opinion, the most robust strategic plan to live at goal weight that exists on the planet. I don't think there's even. I don't think there's even anything second place is what I think. And so, yes, it's not for everyone, though it is absolutely for people that are overthinkers, you know, action oriented. You know, you probably went to college or school or some training. You listen to podcasts, you read a lot. You're just always taking information. That's who this program's for, you know, and is a complete and total system and solution. And so I don't break it apart anymore. You know, last year I kind of. I sold the hypnosis part of the program by itself, and I got a lot of good feedback from it. People were getting good results, but it's just, it's not the total solution. And I really made a decision that I'm only. I'm only offering a total solution. And that's what Program Yourself Then is. But it is for people that. You know, it's funny too, because I've been doing this for a long time. I've been doing this for over 20 years with program Yourself Then. And I would say the last few years as I started moving to group coaching, financially, it's at a level where people are able to stick with it for a lot longer working with me. And it's just validated what I've always known, that if you stick with this approach and you stay with it, you will come out the other end knowing how to run, your mind, your lifestyle and your eating in a way that brings you to your goal weight. And that's what I keep seeing over and over again. But the example I always use is, you know, even if you sucked at math or you had no mechanical ability, if you went to mechanics school or accounting school and you went to the school and did the work, you would come out the other end an accountant or mechanic. You may not be the best accountant or mechanic, but you come out as a mechanic or accountant. And so the thing with weight loss is you. You have now interpreted weight loss as being really a reflection of your character. You think that I'm not losing weight because I have a weak character. I have no willpower, no self control. There's something wrong with me. I can't lose weight. And I think that's completely 100% wrong. I think the main reason you're struggling with your weight is you do not have a strategic system to follow. You've never learned how to influence your mindset, your lifestyle, and you're eating strategically in a way that works for you to live at your goal weight. You've never done that. And so it's. How would you ever. You know, it'd be like trying to learn the piano or a musical instrument on your own. Trying to learn a language on your own. Like, how could you ever do that? Now, I know you think, no, Jim, it's not like that at all. I know what to do, and I just need to get myself to do it. No, you don't know what to do. You have some vague nutritional philosophy, philosophical idea. You, You. You're married to some idea, whether it's Weight Watchers and I got to go back to Weight Watchers. I got to just start my keto plan. I got to start my intermittent fasting plan again, I got to start my low fat. Whatever your philosophy is, it's very limited. There's not a lot there. It's basically some vague idea of how you should eat. And it does not address your mindset at all specifically. It doesn't address your motivation. It doesn't address your identity shift as you become a thin, healthy person. It doesn't address how to deal with your habits strategically. Doesn't address how to deal with your emotions genuinely. Doesn't show you how to think like a thin, healthy person. The nuts and bolts of how to think like them doesn't show how you gotta maintain. So you don't know any of those things. You don't know any of those things. You have one tool. You got willpower. And you try and force yourself to follow that philosophical plan, but you're missing all the key components, you know, that really make a plan work. And, you know, once you get them, though, it's a lot easier. You know, obviously, Ari says, is the special offer still on, or have I missed it? You know what I was playing with this week? Because I. I know I've been saying this, but I. Okay, here's a bad part of my me is I say things and it takes me longer to make them happen than I want to. So I will say, like, well, yeah, this week I got the community coming, and it might be a week or two later or three or four weeks, so I got a little backed up. So, yes, the price of the program is going up, and it is now, right now, even now, it's at 500 bucks. But I was thinking for the week, I'm away for vacation, I'll give people one last chance to get it for 300 bucks, and then that's it. Because it is going up to 500. I got the blueprints. Just got re. I redid the blueprints over the last couple months. They're awesome. And. And now they're getting. They're getting designed, they're getting formatted and so the format's almost finished. It's awesome looking. So that will be up the week I get back. And so maybe I'll do that. So you can shoot me a message if you want to get that, Mario. I'll do it for you anyways. But I think I might do that maybe for a week. I'll just put it a discounted price and that'll be it. Then it goes up to 500 bucks when I get back. So. Yeah. So make sure you sign up if you are interested in. Make sure you just get on my email list and you'll get the emails about it. I think I'll do that. So, yeah, check that out. Nikki says I've lost 10 pounds since beginning of July. I'm 52 and no longer feel like a swollen tick. So grateful. Nice job, Nikki. Wow, ten pounds in a month. Good job. Keep it up though, again. Remember, the first weight is, you know, the beginning is easier for a bunch of reasons. So make sure whatever you're doing to lose the weight, you know, at this point, even start working on sustainability. You know, make sure whatever you're doing that it. That kind of resonates with you and fits your lifestyle. All right, but. But nice job. Great job taking action. Great results. Keep them going. X says. I've seen many women said that it's harder for them to lose fat due to their hormone fluctuations and they have the mindset that most weight loss programs are designed for men. But we learned that eating well and active lifestyle of a thin person is for everyone. Yeah, absolutely. And no, it is. I think it is harder for women to lose weight. I don't know exactly what the reasons are. I'm sure some of them are probably hormonal. There's probably different reasons. But I have seen that as a pattern in my experience between the men that have been in the program, the women that. That men in general do seem to lose weight a little quicker. If I had to just now, I'm not based on a lot of scientific evidence. I'm just based on my general impression. But that being said, so what? You know what I mean? If men lose weight faster, who gives a. Again, I don't give a fuck if people lose weight faster. Who cares? I don't care how fast you lose weight. It's not about losing weight fast. It's about living at your goal weight. So if it. Oh, because, you know, like, I find women getting. So I do find this. Women do say this. And I think it's true. I do think it's true because I was. Oh, my husband and I are doing this, and he lost a bunch of weight. And maybe it's true. Let's just say it's true. Okay, who gives a. Okay, so someone loses weight faster than you. Who gives a. So what? So what? Well, it's not fair. Okay, and what are you gonna do? Just not lose weight now? Because it's not fair you're gonna stay overweight for the rest of your life because it's not fair that someone loses it faster than you do. Who gives a. You know what I mean? Like, we gotta stop thinking about other people. This is your. This is your journey. This is a journey for you and you alone. And so it doesn't matter how fast or slowly anyone else loses weight, how easy or hard it is for anyone else to lose it. It only matters how it is for you. And so again, the less you compare yourself to other people, the better off you'll be, you know? And again, yeah, listen, but by the way, and I don't care if you're a woman man, any, whatever your situation is, the same truth exists that it's always. It's always easier for someone else to lose weight than you. And it's always harder for someone else to lose weight than you. It's always. You're always slower than someone losing weight and you're always faster than someone at losing weight. So who gives a shit? You know what I mean? Like, you've got to get that out of your head because it's such a. It's such a destructive thought. Once we start thinking that. I've seen so many people really just sabotage themselves with that thought. Well, it's not fair when my husband can do this. And again, it might just be a friend does. It's not even. Let's just take out the. The gender piece of it. So I got a friend. And as soon as they lose weight, they lose 20 pounds in a week. Who gives a shit? Who cares? A year from now, two years from now, it's not going to matter. Okay? Stop thinking about the first part of the weight loss and start thinking about the real goal. Your goal is not to lose weight. It's to live at your goal weight. You've all lost weight before and put it back on. You're not Happy with that. You pissed that you put it back on. And so it's very important that you have your focus on the right thing. And that right thing is that you want to live at your goal weight. And so if it takes you three months, six months, a year to get to your goal weight, who cares? Why would you? You know what I mean? Like, why are you going to let that stop you from losing weight anyways? But. But I agree. Right? Yeah. It says we learned so much from you, and it's really working. Jim. Thank you. You're welcome. You're welcome. Max. Yeah. Good job using it. Michelle said, I lost over 60 pounds over two years and have 75 to go. Your advice, has recently discovered, has helped me to a different space. How am I going to feel after I eat that? Love that. Also, eight is not enough of a goal. What is the best? Me Love listening to you. Thank you, Michelle. Screenshot that and congratulations. Great job. 60 pounds over two years again, as you know what I'm going to say, I love the £60, but I love the two years even more. Super, super duper job. This is what I mean, right? So it's like, oh, 60 pounds in two years. That's too slow. What the fuck? When's the last time you lost 60 pounds? Are you 60 pounds lighter? You know what I mean? Like, you've got to take that time component and get rid of it. It brings me one of my favorite Tony Robbins things. He would say is, he would say, like, imagine, he goes, he goes, how long would you give your kid to learn how to walk? Right? Like, so he said, okay, how long are you Let them practice walking until you finally say, ah, you know what? You don't get it. You're done. You're done. You're cut off. Right? It's a silly question because when you think about your kid walking, there is no time frame to it. Your perception is that I'm going to help them walk until they learn to walk. And you really ought to approach your weight that way. Who gives a shit how long it takes? How long have you been working on it, by the way? That's the other piece of it. It's such an illogical thing because I get this for all the time. People impatient about how slow the weight loss is going to be, and they haven't lost any weight in the last five years. You know what I mean? So it's like, oh, three pounds a month. That's too slow. Well, how much did you lose last year over the last year? Nothing. Okay, well, three pounds a month times 12. Right. 36 pounds versus 0 pounds. Which one's slow and which one's fast? Again, you can't just believe the first thing your mind says, you know, and for a lot of you, slower weight loss is it just doesn't feel like it or it feels discouraging or worse than losing weight, you know, like even slowly. It's just crazy. What's up, Kent? Ken said, I thought the weight loss was slow the first few weeks, but can't believe how much I've lost in 10 months. Yeah, agreed, Ken. I agree 1,000%. One of my favorite quotes that most people overestimate how much weight they can lose in a month. They overestimate how much weight they can lose in a month and underestimate how much weight they can lose in a year. Right. So it's just, I find that to be so true. And I think when you shift your perspective again, when you, if you think about, like college or some training or certification program you may have done in life, that was a longer term thing. That's a good reference point for what I'm talking about because you went into that process with a sense of how long it was going to take. And that was really helpful, you know what I mean? Because with weight loss, you're really trying to beat the clock. And I always say, metaphorically, you're trying to lose weight as if you were a running a marathon, but you were going to sprint it. So it's like the way you're approaching weight loss is as if you were approaching a marathon as a sprinter. And it's like, imagine, you know, the gun goes off and you start to sprint and you're like, I'm going to sprint the whole way. And for the first eighth of a mile, like, holy, this is really working. Oh, my God, look how far ahead I am. Look how far ahead I am. But then you collapse and you only finish the race and. But then you keep telling yourself, oh, I was way ahead, I was way ahead, I was way ahead. Next time I just got to sprint further and longer. That's kind of like where you're at as a dieter and the whole perception, the whole mindset's wrong. And that's why you're never going to lose weight, you're never going to keep the weight off as a dieter, virtually. I mean, again, the numbers to keep the weight off are so dismal, it's estimated. Again, the numbers I've seen, I'll give you the most, the most encouraging numbers are it goes from 84 to 98% of dieters that lose weight put it back on. So those are horrible numbers. Dieting does not work, folks. I mean, we know this diet's been around for 100 years. You can't. What's the best diet over the last hundred years? What's the most effective diet? Maybe Weight watchers are slimming world just because they have a social component. And then what, what, what's the best diet there? There is none. There literally is none. And the reason why is because it's not enough. It's not enough of a strategy. You know, really, dieting, when you boil it down, dieting really technically is just a tactic. It's just one tactic, right? Every diet's built around one thing. Stop eating carbs. Stop eating for 16 hours. You know what I mean? It's like you need to have a really, a holistic, comprehensive plan. You tell me how you think you're going to change your weight for good without changing your mindset. Explain to me how that, how that works. Why would you who've been trying to lose weight. You tell me how you think you're going to change your weight for good without changing your mindset. Explain to me how that, how that works. Why would you, who've been trying to lose weight through diets for 30 years and it hasn't worked? Why would all of a sudden on year 32, it works? What is going to be the difference? Your motivation, your willpower, your commitment? Is that what you think? Because you've been saying the same thing to yourself for as long as you've been dieting and it hasn't worked. And I always say this, that you know as little about how to lose weight now as you did before you started your first diet. That should be a real red flag is the fact that you spend all this time and energy doing something and you're no further along. Literally no further along. That's why when Mari asked about like, oh, how, what's it take to get through the, the blueprint? If it took you three months to get through the goal weight blueprints, you are going to end up in a completely different space than you've ever been with your weight loss. You're gonna know you'll be able to go back and say, I'm not feeling that motivated today. You go right back to the motivation section, see what you wrote half the time. That's just gonna kick start you and get you going right back in. Because you just forgot about that, okay? And then otherwise you might need to Tweak what you wrote, upgrade it a little, but at least you've got a plan for how to diagnose it and deal with it. Right now you don't. Right now you're either on track, 100% motivated, or you don't want to think about it, or you think about it constantly. Just can't get yourself to take action. So again, you have no real nuanced ability, you have no real strategic way to approach your weight. And that's the core reason why you're struggling. It's not because it's not the quality of your character. It has nothing to do with that. It's the quality of your plan. Your plan sucks. I don't care what plan you're following, every single diet out there sucks in the sense that it never teaches you. I always say this, that here's what I mean. You can take literally every single diet and they're all the same. And what I mean by that, I would throw all these into one category. Keto, Mediterranean, low fat, vegan, carnivore, Weight watchers, Slimming world, counting your calories, intermittent fasting, and any other diet you can think of, throw it in the same category. What makes them all the same? You said. Well, they're all different, Jim. They're all different philosophies. Agreed. But what makes them all the same? Why do they all get the exact same results? Why? Because you approach them all as a dieter. It doesn't matter which one of those you do that I named. Pick any diet you can name. And what's always the same, you're going to jump into it on day one, Monday, 100% doing it perfectly. And that's the core problem. You're overwhelming yourself every single time you jump in. It does. It doesn't matter what the plan is. You jump into it the exact same way because you got a diet or mindset. And so it doesn't matter what diet you pick, you approach it as a dieter, you overwhelm yourself, you can't stick with it and you do it for a little while perfectly and then you stop doing it. And that's the pattern you've repeated for years. And it's the pattern you're going to continue to repeat for years if you don't upgrade your mindset. So tell me how I'm wrong. You know, what's up, Arizona Wildflower. I haven't seen him. My for you pages are live forever. Yeah, something's going on in tick tock land. I. I was saying that yesterday. It's Funny, because I'm getting a lot more people on Facebook now or YouTube. I can't tell exactly where they're coming from, but. And then, yeah, Tick Tock's been kind of low live numbers a little bit. I don't know. I don't know what's going on there. But yeah, we'll deal with that when I get back. You know, I got, I got some ideas for how to, how to do that, so we'll see. I do have some different ideas. I'm excited. Like, I have said this a couple times, but there really, there are a lot of shifts in really cool things coming for program yourself then from free to the. The my clients. So there's a lot of cool things coming down the pike. And again, some of those things are just going to be free. You don't have to join anything. And then if you, if you are part of the program, there's gonna be cool things coming as well. And even these lives, you know, I was thinking about some different ideas for them. One of them being, you know, potentially I was kind of kicking back to doing like some coaching calls with people. So I could literally work with some of you if you're up for being recorded. And we could work through some of your challenges and help you move through them, you know. But anyways, we'll deal with that when I get back. Live through them, you know. But anyways, we'll deal with that when I get back. But yes, there's no good diet. That's what I like to say. I mean, there's no effective diet, you know what I mean? So Katie Case is people need to hit the like more. It promotes the live. Yeah, hit the likes, folks. I know I gotta do that. It's funny that you say that, Katie, because I was watching. That's what I mean. I was talking yesterday, like, like I haven't put all my energy into this whole thing, you know what I mean? Like, like I do it, I, I put my energy in showing up, right? That's kind of the first phase. I, I was, well, this will make sense to people I was talking to yesterday. But you know, even with this thing here, my first phase, I just want to start doing it consistently, you know, because once I start doing it consistently now I lower the barrier because it was hard at first to get myself to do this and it was hard. Yes, there's no good diet. That's what I like to say. I mean, there's no effective diet, you know what I mean? So Katie Case is people need to hit the, like, more it promotes the live. Yeah, hit the likes, folks. I know I gotta do that. It's funny that you say that, Katie, because I was watching. That's what I mean. I was talking yesterday like, dude, at 12 o' clock all the time. And so I just want to. That's my first phase, that first phase, last years, you know, but, but then eventually I'll get to the point where I start to optimize this. And I was looking around, getting some ideas. So, yeah, I watch people that get like a lot of views. They're intentionally doing that. Like, I haven't put all my energy into this whole thing, you know what I mean? Like, like I do it, I, I put my energy in showing up. Right. That's kind of the first phase. I was. Well, this will make sense to people where they're boosting up the likes and the shares and there's strategies to do that. I've not used any of them, but I'll get to them. X says, Jim, do you count calories or anything to do? I was talking to you yesterday. But you know, even with this thing here, my first phase, I just want to start doing it consistently, you know, because once I start doing consistently now I lower the barrier because it was hard at first to get myself to do this and it was hard to do it at 12 o' clock all the time. And so I just want to. That's my first phase, that first phase, last year's, the calorie deficit. I don't count calories. No, I don't count calories. I mean, I will say like I, I might like count calories or pay attention to calories for like a week or so, just to adjust, calibrate what I'm doing, get a sense of where the calories are at. But I find counting calories, you know, but, but then eventually I'll get to the point where I start to optimize this. And I was looking around, getting some ideas. So, yeah, I watch people that get like a lot of views. They're intentionally doing that or they're boosting up the likes and the shares. And there's strategies to do that. I've not used any of them. Be tedious and I, and I don't enjoy that. So I don't count calories. But what I do is I structure my eating so my eating is very structured. I eat very similar breakfast Monday through Friday, similar lunches. My dinners are different, but they're similar week to week, calorie and nutritionally, even my pleasure days are similar, you know, week to week. So there's a lot of consistency in how I eat. And because of that consistency, I ended up a consistent. But I'll get to them. Rick says, jim, do you count calories or anything to do with calorie deficit? I don't count calories. No, I don't count calories. I mean, I will say like I. And so if I want to reduce my weight, I look at the consistent things I do and I say where would be the easiest thing for me to cut some more calories out? I'll cut some of those calories out and then I'll wait a little bit and see where the weight goes. I might like count calories or pay attention to calories for like a week or so just to adjust calibrate. And that's kind of how I manage my weight. It's a, a more intuitive approach. Not to be confused with intuitive eating, but it's more intuitive approach. Yeah, look, X says I just experimented eating amount of foods and what I'm doing, get a sense of where the calories are at. But I find counting calories to weight myself to see if I'm eating right. Yeah, I do the exact same thing. X and I think that's a very natural and effective way to do it because I think when you start counting calories, a lot of times what you're going to do is you're going to rely on calorie calculators. And calorie calculators are just guesstimates. They're not taking your specific particular body into account. And so to me, it's like I want to just, I want to cut all the bullshit and distraction, be tedious and I, and I don't enjoy that. So I don't count calories. But what I do is I structure my eating so my eating is very structured. I eat very similar breakfast Monday through Friday, similar lunches. My dinners are different, but they're similar week to week calorie. And nutritionally even my pleasure days are similar, you know, week to week. So there's a lot of consistency in how I eat. And because of that consistency, I ended up a consistent weight. And so if I want to reduce my weight, I look at the consistent things I do and I say, where would be the easiest thing for me to cut some more calories out? I'll cut some of those calories out and, and then I'll wait a little bit and see where the weight goes. And that's kind of how I manage my weight. It's A a more intuitive approach, not to be confused with intentions and confusions out and just deal with reality. And so if I can start structuring my eating so it starts becoming consistent, I'm going to end up with a consistent weight. And now I'm in the game because now I can look at my consistent eating and see where would be the easiest place for me to shave some more calories out. You see, So I do pay attention to calories, but I pay attention to them in a more, in a softer, more intuitive way. You know, rather than trying to track every single calorie. That takes a lot of energy and I do not want to use the energy in that way. You know, Michelle says I want to try this. Where do I get the special deal? You can email me, but just make sure that you're on. I'll put this, I'm going to put this link. I think you're on Facebook. So I'm going to put this link in here and you should get. Whoops. Whoops. You should get this hypnosis session anyways. Get on my email list anyways because you get a free hypnosis session. I made a training for you and I send a lot of cool stuff to you all. So go check that out anyways. But once you're on my email list, I'll send some emails out about the special price. And you know what I'll do intuitive eating. But it's a more intuitive approach. Yeah, look, X says I just experiment eating amount of foods and weight myself to see if I'm eating right. Yeah, I do the exact same thing X and I think that's a very natural and effective way to do it because I think when you start counting calories, a lot of times what you're going to do is you're going to rely on calorie calculators. And calorie calculators are just guesstimates. They're not taking your specific. I will put the price down to its special price until the Monday after I get back. So I will do it until I think it's the 10th. Till the 11th. Yeah, till. So basically midnight, midnight the 10th or somewhere on the 11th particular body into account. And so to me it's like I want to just, I want to cut all the. And distractions and confusions out and just deal with reality. And so if I can start structuring my eating, whatever, let's say the 11th. So I'll set that page up today and I will, I'll send an email out too and I Will do that. And so, yeah, do it again. If you're on the fence with it, please get it done because you're going to be kicking yourself in the ass, I promise you. Because I'm telling you, you're going to see. So it starts becoming consistent. I'm going to end up with a consistent weight. And now I'm in the game because now I can look at my consistent eating and see where it be the easiest place for me to shave some more calories out. You see it, I'm going to start showing. I'm getting the blueprint. When you see this blueprint before your eyes, because I'm getting it printed. I mean, this thing is a beaut. It's a beaut. And I'm going to have it here. I'm going to go through it a little bit. You're going to see it, you are going to want it. When you start to learn more about the program, you are going to want this program, I guarantee you. So I do pay attention to calories, but I pay attention to them in a more, in a softer, more intuitive way, you know, rather than trying to track every single calorie. That takes a lot of energy and I do not want to use the energy in that way. You know, Michelle says I want to try this. Where do I get the special deal? And it is going to be 500. It is. I'm not. The discount is. It's going to be up to a thousand dollars. I'm letting you know this now and it will be a special get it for 500. But this is the last time. I'll do it one last time where you get a chance to get 300 bucks. And I promise you it's going up to 500 bucks. Because I know I've said this for a little bit, but now everything is done. So everything's been upgraded. The blueprints been upgraded, the hypnosis upgraded, the Circle apps upgraded. Although someone told me they have a little bit of issue with the technology. If you know who you are. I know who you are. I'm on the case. So I'm dealing with it. But that's an outlier thing is probably. You can email me, but just make sure that you're on. I'll put this. I'm going to put this link. I think you're on Facebook. So I'm going to put this link in here and an updated app issue. So I'm going to fix that. But again, the whole Circle app's been updated. You get a gym AI you should get. Whoops. Whoops. You guys updated. Everything's been kind of updated and ready to go. So anyways, get on my email list and you'll get that information. Ari says, annoyingly, I've signed up to slimming world till June 2026, though it's working, app is easy and no social side online only. You should get this hypnosis session anyways, get on my email list anyways because you get a free hypnosis session. I made a training for you and I send a lot of cool stuff to you all. So go check that out anyways. But once you're on my email list, I'll send some emails out about the special price. And you know what I'll do? I will put the price down to its special price until the Monday after I get back. So I will do it until. Okay, yeah, I get that. But again, I mean, you know, I wouldn't look at that. Mari, again, I don't know what your situation is, but I would. You know, if you're on the fence with it, I would absolutely encourage the investment because Program Yourself Then will work in concert with Slimming World. You know, Program Yourself Then is really built to be. It's an agnostic program, meaning you can use it by itself and. Or you can use it with whatever diet philosophy you have. So it's the 10th till the 11th. Yeah, till I've, I've worked with everyone. I mean, Carnivore, Keto, Intermittent Fasters, Slimming World people diet, Weight Watchers, a lot of people use this program in concert with another one. So that totally just makes it more effective, you know, really? Because again, what you're doing is you're going to learn way more mindset stuff than you're learning in slow. Like, way more. The lifestyle piece is way more robust. And honestly, even the eating part is way more robust than what you're getting with Slimming World. I guarantee it. And so, but you know, Slimming World basically midnight, midnight the 10th or somewhere on the 11th, whatever, let's say the 11th. So I'll set that page up today and I will. I'll send an email out too, and I will do that. And so, yeah, do it again. If you're on the fence with it, please get it done. Sure has some good stuff too. So again, to me, a lot of times I don't say the more the better because you can overwhelm yourself with too much stuff too. But using Program Yourself Then with another program is because you're going to be kicking yourself in the Ass. I promise you. Because I'm telling you, you're going to see a lot of people do that and get really good results. Marilyn says you it. I'm going to start showing. I'm getting the blueprint. When you see this blueprint before your eyes, because I'm getting it printed. Awesome. Thank you. Appreciate that. What's up, Sherry? I hope you and your family get to relax and enjoy vacation. Yes, I'm looking forward to it. Although once again, just before this call, literally one second before this call, a big emotional bomb dropped in my lap. But it was diffused just as quickly, thank God. But had to go through the up and down of it first. Jesus, Louises. All right. I mean, this thing is a beaut. It's a beaut. And I'm gonna have it here. I'm gonna go through it a little bit. You're gonna see it. You are going to want it. When you start to learn more about the program, you are going to want this program, I guarantee you. I can't wait to get down there and just get out of my car and put the keys away. Just be there. I'm looking forward to that anyways. And it is going to be 500. It is. I'm not. The discount is it's gonna be up to a thousand dollars. I'm letting you know this now, and it will be a special. Get it for 500. But this is the last time. I'll do it one last time. All right. Let me get out of here. Sorry, everyone. Have a super duper day. If again, if you're not in my world, make sure you click the link in my bio or go to program yourself. Then go get that hypnosis session where you get a chance to get 300 bucks. And I promise you it's going up to 500 bucks because I know I've said I give you, it's free. Watch the training I made for you. It's free. I got a bunch of more cool free. Shit this for a little bit. But now everything is done. So everything's been upgraded. The blueprint's been upgraded, the hypnosis upgraded, the Circle apps upgraded. Although someone told me they have a little bit of issue with the technology. If you know who you are, I know who you are. I'm on the case, so I'm dealing with it. But that's an outlier thing. It's probably an updated app issue, so I'm going to fix that. But again, the whole Circle app's been updated. You get Jim AI coming, your Way. And again, like I said, I'll put the special price up for the next week while I'm gone, and that will be it. That is going to be it. So this is literally the last chance you're going to get with it. Yeah. So, anyways, Cool. All right, everyone, have a super duper day and we'll talk soon. Bye, guys. Updated. Everything's been kind of updated and ready to go. So, anyways, get on my email list and you'll get that information. Ari says, annoyingly, I've signed up to slimming world till June 2026, though. All right, everyone, have a super duper day, and we'll talk soon. Bye.
