Preventing Cravings

This is a YouTube video titled "Preventing Cravings" created on July 3, 2025. The content likely focuses on strategies or advice related to managing or preventing cravings, but no conversational dialogue or multiple speakers are indicated in the excerpt.
It foreign. Welcome to today's program yourself Thin Podcast. Today we are talking about preventing cravings. One of my favorite things to talk about because you got to deal with cravings somehow. And what most people do is they try and fight their cravings head on. And they are expecting that they're going to have tons of cravings, but they will meet them with a supernatural amount of willpower and fight against them with that willpower. And as you may have already figured out, this plan doesn't work very well when you have tried to fight against your cravings. How's it gone? How does it go? Ultimately, if you're like most of us, you'll lose that battle. You're not going to win that battle. Once the cravings kick off, it's basically just set your watch to how long it's going to be until you give in to them. So the alternative to fighting them, which is really the diet mindset, right, the diet mindset is you're going to have all these cravings. It's your job to fight against them. The alternative to that, though, is that you work to prevent cravings. Cravings have a structure, and there's a lot of things you're doing right now currently that are causing a lot of the unhealthy cravings that you're fighting against. And rather than fight against them, you'd be much better off to prevent them. As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, which I like to change up to an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of willpower. So the more you learn how to prevent cravings, the less willpower you need to fight against them. And so mathematically, it works out a lot better for you because you're conserving energy. And ultimately your weight loss ultimately comes down to how well you can manage your energy. Dieters don't manage their energy very well, by the way. Okay. Dieters just blow through their energy instantly. Very unstrategic and just winging it. As I always say, you know, dieters are sprinters in a marathon. So you just blab and you're done. And this comes to the cravings, too, like where, again, you think you're going to fight against the cravings, and that's your approach, when in reality, the real secret to managing cravings is to prevent them in the first place. So how do you prevent cravings? Well, there's a number of ways. So the first thing I'm going to go into detail with it, but again, I just want to remind you that this all Starts with a different paradigm of a different mindset so that you start thinking in general. Yeah, let me think about the cravings that I deal with in my life. What are the cravings you have? Everyone's got unique cravings. You may have cravings for ice cream every night at 9 o' clock, someone else might have cravings for pizza. You know, every night at five o' clock, whatever. Everyone's got different cravings for different things. Okay. Which, which implies that everyone is doing different things to create those cravings. So how do you create a craving? Let's dive into it a little bit. Because once you understand what's going on behind the scenes with the cravings, you'll have more ability to prevent them. Okay. So there's a number of factors that lead to cravings. And I always think it's basically break everything down to mindset, lifestyle and eating. So the way that you think, the way that you live and the way that you eat are directly responsible for the cravings that you're experiencing. Most of them anyways. Okay. And so by shifting your mindset and the way you think about things, by shifting your lifestyle, the way you're living, and certainly by changing the way that you're eating, is your most effective way to actually reduce unhealthy cravings. And so that's what's going to make it a lot easier for you moving forward. But again, it's a systematic, holistic approach. And what we're looking at, mindset wise, let's start with that. And again, we could deep dive in all this, program yourself, then we deep dive into all this. But I'm going to give you kind of an overview so you get a sense what I'm talking about. But when it comes to mindset and cravings, one of the first things you need to deal with is what you're saying to yourself all the time. Right. How do you talk to yourself? Right. We all talk to ourselves. It's called your internal dialogue. We're constantly Talking to ourselves 24 hours a day. Now what's interesting is that your internal dialogue, your subconscious mind has been programmed by the food companies your entire life, meaning you have been exposed to tens of millions of food ads in your life. So the way you talk to yourself, the way that you think about food, especially unhealthy, hyper addictive, hyper palatable food, is you think about it in a way that generates cravings. Think about it. Every ad you see is tweaking up the way you think about it so that you crave it and Desire it more, and you start to internalize that and think about those foods in that way. So in a very general way, what we want to do to start getting a handle on the cravings is to start thinking differently. And again, understanding your mind is helpful to do this. I'll give you one little example. Dieting is really built around the idea that you're going to fixate on the thing you're going to stop eating, right? Keto is an example of this. You're going to fixate on carbs and not eating them. Unfortunately, your subconscious mind doesn't understand negatives. For example, if I tell you not to think about what I'm about to say, get your willpower together and don't think about a banana. Don't think about a banana. Don't think about a banana, right? What are you thinking about? You think about a banana. So every time you go on a diet, you're subconsciously fixating, focusing on the exact thing you want to consume less of. So subconsciously, every time you go on a diet, it literally cranks up the cravings for the exact food you're trying to dial down. It makes it much harder. Okay, so that's just one little example. Other things are to start focusing on what you want to eat, to start talking to yourself differently, to learn more about these foods so you think about them in a different way. Okay, that's mindset. Next thing is lifestyle, and this one's enormous. This is probably the biggest piece of all of them, your lifestyle and program yourself. Then we have eight habits we look at for lifestyle in order of importance. Sleeping, hydration, relaxation, breathing, nourishment, Movement, meditation, gratitude. Okay, and so the first four, five are real. They're all important. But the first four or five are really important for your cravings. You sleep like crap tonight, you're going to wake up tomorrow, most likely having a lot more unhealthy cravings for unhealthy foods. You get a good night of sleep, you're more likely to think clearer, have more energy, and have less cravings for unhealthy foods. Okay? Hydration. Your body a lot of times is misinterpreting a thirst signal for a hunger signal. So if you're dehydrated, you're probably going to be hungrier and then crave unhealthier foods. If you're stressed out, intense, and not breathing, you're probably going to start craving unhealthier foods. If you're not nourishing your body and giving your body the nutrients it desires Your body's going to send you the signal to eat because we need nutrients, which is going to cause more cravings for you and on and on. So again, the more you start to clean up your lifestyle, the less cravings you experience and the easier it becomes to eat well. And finally is the eating piece. As you start to optimize your eating, one of the first things you can do is as you start to reduce the sugar, the processed foods, the chemicals, the fat, the salt, as you begin to reduce those and you start to add more whole natural foods into your body, your cravings start to go down. Because A, you're giving your body what it truly needs and desires and you start to reduce all of those substances and that tends to reduce the cravings for them. And so it's just like a substance, you reduce that substance, the cravings tend to go down a bit as well. So again, this is just an overview, but I want to, again, I'm not telling you all the details of it. That takes a little bit more, you know, time and effort here. But what I want you to start doing is to think about your cravings in a more holistic way. Don't just fight against them. And that's what you've been doing. You're trying to fight head head first at these cravings and it just doesn't work well. And so as you start getting more strategic about preventing them, that's the secret sauce. Because once you cut your cravings down by 20, 30, 40, 50%, it's so much easier to eat well and hence lose the weight. So I hope this helps you out. If you want some support with this, can click the link in my bio, go to program yourself, then dot com, get the free hypnosis session I give you. Watch the training I made for you. Got a bunch of cool stuff. We get the Circle app coming. Like I said, that'll be ready to go this week. I was working on today I'm gonna have that ready to go and I'll have some cool stuff in there for you all for free. Okay? So go check that out and if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Narrator says sprinters in a marathon. Dude, you're coming for my neck. Yes, that's my new metaphor. I love that so much thought of it the other day and I have never really had a thought of anything that describes dieters as much as the idea that dieting is basically being in a marathon race, right? You're in the Boston Marathon, you signed up for at the starting line and Your. Your strategy, you're going to sprint, you're going to beat everyone out the gate. You're going to run as fast as you possibly can. And for the first, you know, quarter mile, you're going to be in first by a mile. You're going to be killing everyone. Right? You're just going to be well out ahead and. And winning the race for the first, you know, eighth of a mile or whatever, you know, you keep it up and then you're just going to pass out and collapse and not even finish the race. Right. That's dieting in a nutshell. So I love that example, though. It's one of my favorites. I've begun using that and I will use it forever now and forever more, I think. Yeah, X says so. True, Jim. When I give my body the right foods, the cravings gone. Yeah, exactly. And even if the cravings don't go completely again, it's not about completely eliminating cravings. I don't know if you can do that in this environment. Okay. But you don't have to either. Again, we're looking for statistical improvement, not perfection. I can't stress this enough. You do not need to be perfect to lose weight. Holy shit. You need to be perfect to lose weight as fast as possible. I'll give you that. But you do not need to be perfect in order to lose weight. You can just be better. You can be better, and when you get better, you will lose weight. All right. Oh, yeah. If anyone has any questions. It's a funny week. Fourth of July on Friday. I like it. I like it. Noodle horse says I do like ice cream at night. Yeah, a lot of people do. Right. Comes the routine. Right. It's the reward routine you do at night. Right. You worked hard all day. You know, you get to get to have some ice cream or cookies or whatever it is, you know, whatever it is. But for a lot of people, that. That nighttime snacking routine is really kind of the reward. They dangle out in front of them all day long, you know, and it's a huge part of how they get through their lives and get through the day. Take. It's got a lot of emotional weight to it is what I'm saying. It's more than just a good tasting, you know, ice cream or good tasting habit, you know, there's a lot more to it. And these Bounty says, thanks for the content. You are welcome. Thanks for watching the content. Drop the clih. Routine. I don't know what that means. Let's see what's up. Don how's it going? HR Says that was perfect. Yep. I will write this down. You don't need to be perfect to lose weight. You need to be perfect to lose weight fast. Yes, you can write that down. Now again, everyone's obsessed with fast weight loss, right? That's the Transuran, that's the diet. Trance is obsessed with fast weight loss as fast as humanly possible. It's the only thing that excites you about weight loss if you're a dieter. And is that obsession with losing weight quick that is literally the thing trapping you the bars of your prison that you are in mentally. The bars of that prison are your impatience. I. I can't stress it any further. You would learn nothing valuable in life if all you cared about was learning it as fast as possible. It's really a mindset that really dooms you, I'm telling you. You know, think of anything in your life. It's almost like. I mean, reading and writing, you know, imagine like, okay, okay, we'll learn this in a week. We'll learn this in a week. If you're really serious. Come on, really commit to it. You're going to learn in a week. It's like as soon as you put that time pressure on it, you're. You're doomed because now all of a sudden, it feels. You're going too slow. It's not fast enough. You have to be more extreme. You know, dieting is an endurance test that just ratchets up. It's an endurance test. You know, an endurance test. You ever. You know what that is, right? It's where they kind of test your heart and everything. But they, they make you, like, walk on a treadmill or ride a bike. They make you do some activity and you're not, You're. There's no beating the endurance test. What, are you gonna do it forever? Hey, you won. You live the rest of your life on a treadmill. There's no beating an endurance test. It's just to do it to see, like, what the. The measurements are and then eventually just quit. Eventually you get to a point you can't do it anymore. That's what dieting is psychologically. That's how you think of dieting. You think there's a temporary thing you're gonna do for a little while to lose weight, and then you're gonna quit. And that's what happens every time, because it's so overwhelming. Dieting is overwhelming. See, again, I say this every day, and I'm gonna say it again because it's really important to understand this. You got to stop looking at the diets through the prism of their nutritional philosophies, okay? We can't say, oh, well, keto's different than Weight Watchers, because, Keto, we were going to cut carbs down and get a ketosis, and Weight Watchers, we're going to count our points. So they're completely different. No, they're not completely different. Oh, Mediterranean diet's different than the carnivore diet, because here you're eating Mediterranean food and this one here you're just eating meat. So they're totally different. No, they're not. Why are they not different? Why are they exactly the same? Why are all four of those diets. I just said exactly the same? Because your mindset with all of them is exactly the same. Whether you want to be a carnivore, keto, vegan, intermittent, faster, Weight Watchers, I don't give a. Whatever diet you're gonna pick, it does not matter the nutritional philosophy, because you're going to approach it the exact same way that you're going to start 100 perfect with. It doesn't matter the diet Weight Watchers. I'm going to count every point. Keto, I'm not gonna eat a single carb intermittent fast. I'm gonna give for 16 hours. Starting tomorrow. Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna change my eating 100. I'm gonna stick with it till I lose the weight. That's the diet mentality. Stop looking, Stop being tricked by the nutritional philosophies of it. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what nutritional philosophy I put in front of you if you're going to approach it with a diet mindset. Because every time you approach with a diet mindset, you jump into it 100%. You do it perfectly for a couple days or a couple weeks, once in a while, a couple months, and you eventually quit completely and go back to what you did before. And you have done this 10, 20, 100, 200 times over your life, and you will continue to do it if you continue to think like a dieter. It doesn't fucking matter what plan they put in front of you. It does not matter that. Don't you understand? This is why no matter what diet you do, you've always gotten the same result. Everyone gets the same result on a diet. It does not matter if it's low carb, low fat. It doesn't matter what the diet is, because you're going into it the exact same mindset. Your mindset is where the problem is primarily. And until you fix your mindset, it's just never going to work. You're never going to be able to keep the weight off. So dieting is bullshit, folks. Dieting is. The diet industry is a branch of the food industry. Do you understand this? Dieting. The diet industry is not built to help you live at your goal weight. It's built to give you some shenanigans and take your money while you want to lose weight and then get you back to eating the foods that they sell all the time. You may not believe me, but here we go. Weight Watchers was owned by Heinz. Jenny Craig was owned by Nestle Atkins Food Products is owned by the same company as onions, pretzels and Cinnabon Cinnamon Slim Fast is owned by the same company, owns Ben and Jerry's ice cream. These companies do not want you to eat healthy for the rest of your life and be thin and thin and happy. They do not want that. They want you to go crazy with a diet for a week or two and then go right back to eating that bullshit food and just keep fucking repeating it over and over and over again for your whole life. That's their plan for you and they know how to do it. Because the food industry is a branch of the cigarette industry. Yes, the cigarette companies own all the big food companies which own all the diet. Don't believe me? Okay, fine. Rgr, Reynolds and Nabisco are literally merged together. They're the same company. The parent company for Kraft and General Foods is Philip Morris. So this is what they've been doing for over a hundred years. They're very good at it. And just like we were tricked with the cigarettes, we're being tricked with the food and we're absolutely being tricked by the diets. I mean, the GLP one is a revolution because it's just proving right before your fucking eyes that diets do not work and have never worked. There's not one diet that stands out among any of them as being any better than the rest long term. So if you care about your weight at all, if you're really serious about it, you've got to start focusing on changing your mindset. Once you do, it's not rocket science. It's not that hard. It really isn't. I watch people do it every day in my program. It's really not. But you've never changed your mindset. You have an overweight mindset, folks. If you're overweight and have been overweight for the last five years, at least you've got an overweight mindset, which means that when you're not fixating on dieting and food and meal planning and working out, when you're just living your life the way you eat and live your life, you're overweight. It's your natural state of being right now. The easiest way for you to kind of live your life and just go, go with the flow. You're overweight, you eat, you eat enough to be overweight, and it's just natural and automatic for you. You have an overweight mindset if you've been overweight for the last five years or more. So when you go on a diet, you have to understand a diet is not an. It's not a mindset. Dieting is not a mindset. It's what I call an anti mindset, meaning it's not a mindset in of itself. It basically just says, okay, here's my normal natural, overweight mindset. Now I'm going on a diet. The anti mindsets. I just keep saying, no, well, let's have some pizza. No, let's have some cookies. No, let's have some carbs. No, let's eat now. It's 8 o' clock in the morning. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. And you know yourself down in an ideal situation on a diet, you know yourself down to your goal weight. But the same problem exists. You still got an overweight mindset and you can't keep dieting. So what do most people do? They put the weight back on. And the core reason why is you have never in your life learned how to think like a thin, healthy person. Never once. You have no clue. And to prove the point, you've been dieting. I know if you, if you're watching this, you've been dieting for probably decades. And if you're watching this, I know you're a smart, intelligent person, because it's. The only people that watch me are people that are overthinkers. They're in their head all the time. They usually, you know, well educated, like to read, listen to podcasts, consume lots of information. So it's not. You're not struggling with your weight for a lack of effort. You're struggling with your weight primarily because there's a lack of knowledge there. You don't fucking know how to live as a thin, healthy person. I don't know how much plainer I can make it. You have no clue how to live like a thin, healthy person. And that should be shocking and discouraging and frustrating to you because you've Been at this for decades, most likely. And the truth is, you know as little about how to live at your goal weight now as you did before you started your first diet. And that's depressing and I get it. But I have to point this out to you so you stop dieting. It doesn't have to be this way. You can start to approach your weight with a longer term timeframe. Because again, folks, how long do you want to live at your goal weight? For forever, right? But your diet plan is not built for forever. You're going to stay. You're going to stay in ketosis your whole life. Do you really think that you're just going to eat meat your rest of your life? You're going to track points and calories the rest of your life? You know what I mean? Like, I mean, it's just. It's ridiculous. These plans are not built for the long term. So, yeah, Neuro likes that you learn nothing valuable in life if all you cared was learning it as fast as possible. It's just so true, isn't it? As soon as you put this arbitrary timeline on it, it's just. It makes it so weird. It's so weird. You know, like, like, who would have graduated college if you, like, you went into college? I'm going to do as quick. As fast. Fast as I possibly can. I'm gonna do all four years in one year. I'm gonna take. I'm gonna take quadruple the classes so I can finish it quick. Well, you reach a point where you can't do anymore. I always use the metaphor of, like, you want to learn to play the piano. And so you say, I want to learn quick. I want to get good fast. I'm gonna play eight hours a day. Well, on paper that sounds great, but in real life, your hands are gonna be. You can't gather the physical, mental, emotional energy to sit there again, but that's become part of it. It's free. You're nothing to lose mine. I'll just say, mina, I can't read the last part. How do you fix your mindset? Because I know that's why I can't do this. Yeah. How do you fix your mindset? You don't really fix your mindset. You know, you. You create a new mindset. Okay, so it would kind of be like, well, it's not exactly like this, but it's like, well, if you want to learn to play the piano, it's like you're not going to fix your mindset to be a piano player. You're going to learn how to play the piano. Does that make sense? So program yourself then. The whole program is built around the weight, the goal weight pyramid. And the goal weight pyramid is simply your mindset, lifestyle and eating, right? And I do the pyramid thing because the mindset's the most important. It's the foundation, then lifestyle, then eating. And so in the mindset piece we break down to six categories which again this is crucial. You're asking an important question because again you'll, you'll hear buzzwords. Now people say, well yeah, I gotta, I gotta change my mindset. I gotta, gotta change my lifestyle. And they'll say these words, but if you really reflect on it, most likely you don't really have much literal detail what that means. Like what's it mean? How are you gonna change your mindset? What's a mindset? At best you might have Carol's wack growth, fixed mindset stuff, right? But to me it's like in program yourself then the mindset is six specific categories, right? How do you motivate yourself? Do you know how to motivate yourself? Like genuinely do you know, really know how to motivate yourself and keep yourself motivated? You ever learn how to do that? So we, that's the first thing we do in the program. Next thing is your self image and identity. How do you identify? If you identify as an overweight person, which you do, if you've been overweight for a long time, how do you shift that, change that? So imper yourself then that's one of the first things we do. Who do you want to be? What's the best version of you? What's this? How does that happen? It was a concentrated effort. Billion dollar companies are aiming huge resources and effort at getting you addicted to foods to be overweight. And so the only way I see of ever you having even the slightest chance of living at your goal weight, you have got to change your mindset. How the are you going to continue to think like an overweight person but then be thin forever? How does that work? How would that ever work? I, I just thought I'm lost on it. So again I get out here to try and say this stuff just to, you know, give you a different perspective because you never hear it again. The weight loss industry is a 65 billion dollar a year industry and it's literally everyone in it. I swear to you, I swear it's almost every single person I see. And that goes down to influencers. Everyone in the weight loss industry is telling you what to do, right? That everything you're looking at, weight loss wise, it's people telling you what to do, it's telling you what to eat, telling you how to work out right, telling you to structure your eating, all this different shit. But no one out there is showing you how to get yourself to do it. Where do you learn how to get yourself to do it? That's your core problem. Do you think you don't know enough to lose weight right now? Do you really think you need some new nutritional philosophy to figure out what to do to lose weight? Come cut the shit. You know what to do to lose weight somewhat. You can always learn more, you can always optimize things, no doubt, but you know enough to lose weight. Your big problem is you don't know how to get yourself to do it consistently. And you never have. And until you learn how to change your mindset, you probably never will. So it's just going to be a fool's errand forever where you're going to repeat the same cycle you've repeated so many times before. Where you get really upset about your weight. You say, that's it, I'm going to commit to it, I'm going to change everything. You jump into whatever plan you jump into full force, Both feet in, 100% perfect, all or nothing, let's do it. And you do it for a little while perfectly and then you stop doing it at all. Then maybe you do it for a couple days, maybe do it for a couple of weeks once in a while, do it for a couple months. And then you always go back to your default setting. And so if this is your situation again and you want to change it and click the link in my bio, go to program yourself, then get the free hypnosis session I give you. Watch the video I made for you. It's a 20 minute video that just lays out a completely different paradigm of how to influence your weight. And that's why I say like, if you're even remotely serious about your weight, why wouldn't you want to learn that? You know, I don't know, like, I give this stuff away for free and I got even more stuff coming. Like the Circle app, it's really cool. It's so exciting. And I got so many fun things happen in the background with that. And that's where I'm going to give you a bunch of free. And I might, maybe I'll give it. I was thinking I gotta find it, but I have a cookout training and session I did. I'm gonna throw that up there today. So that'll be in there for my clients. So it's already. It'll be in there. I'll put that in there today. But yeah, if you're not, if you're not part of my, my world yet, go become part of it. It's free. You're nothing to lose mine. I'll just say, mina, I can't read the last part. How do you fix your mindset? Because I know that's why I can't do this. Yeah. How do you fix your mindset? You don't really fix your mindset. You know, you, you create a new mindset. Okay. So it would kind of be like, well, it's not exactly like this, but it's like, well, if you want to learn to play the piano, it's like, you're not going to fix your mindset to be a piano player. You're going to learn how to play the piano. Does that make sense? So program yourself then. The whole program is built around the weight, the goal weight pyramid. And the goal weight pyramid is simply your mindset, lifestyle and eating. Right? And I do the pyramid thing because the mindset's the most important. It's the foundation, then lifestyle, then eating. And so in the mindset piece, we break down into six categories, which, again, this is crucial. You're asking an important question because again, you'll, you'll hear buzzwords. Now people say, well, yeah, I got, I gotta change my mindset. Got, I gotta change my lifestyle. And they'll say these words. But if you really reflect on it, most likely you don't really have much literal detail what that means. Like, what's it mean? How are you going to change your mindset? What's a mindset? At best, you might have Carol's wack growth, fixed mindset stuff, right? But to me, it's like in program yourself, then the mindset is six specific categories, right? How do you motivate yourself? Do you know how to motivate yourself? Like genuinely, do you know, really know how to motivate yourself and keep yourself motivated? Ever learn how to do that? So we, that's the first thing we do in the program. Next thing is your self image and identity. How do you identify? If you identify as an overweight person, which you do, if you've been overweight for a long time, how do you shift that? Change that? So I'm firing myself then. That's one of the first things we do. Who do you want to be? What's the best version of you? What's the self image you want to have in your life. We go through that training, then we go through habits. How do you change your habits strategically in a neuroscientifically backed way? Do you have any clue? Most likely not, because most likely the way you deal with your habits is you just fight against them with willpower. Emotions. Do you know how to deal with your emotions? Do you know how to feel the emotions you want to feel? Do you know how to deal with the shitty emotions you don't want to feel without food? Probably not, because in this culture, we've been trained and conditioned to use food as our main emotional management strategy tool. So we learn how to deal with motions genuinely. Next, we go through thinking how to think like a thin, healthy person. The nuts and bolts, what questions to ask, literally, what words to use, what phrases to use. How to think like a thin, healthy person. Do you know how to think like a thin, healthy person? You know, trying to be a jerk, but you probably have no clue how to do that. And then, finally, is maintenance. Do you know how to maintain, and not only maintain once you get to your goal weight. How do you maintain from day one to day two? How do you maintain when life gives you all sorts of stress? What are your strategies? What are you gonna do? What do you do when you get off track? What do you do when you make a mistake? Do you have a plan? And I know you don't. And again, I'm not picking on you, but I'm just trying to reveal that all of your diet thinking, overall, your life has been like one little band of it. It's just about what to do. And you've never learned how to get yourself to do it. And I hope this is really eye opening for you, because the reason I'm here every day, I'm here every day, Monday through Friday. I've been doing this for almost three years now, and I think I'm up to almost 600 episodes. Okay. Every Monday through Friday, I'm here at noon Eastern. Why? This is a mission for me, okay? Yes, I have a program. I'm a coach, okay? I've got my whole business outside. This is literally like my Dharma. It's my. I do this as a mission because for me, my father died when he's 54 of a heart attack. So for me, weight is life and death. And I do genuinely care. I want you to live as long as you possibly can. And maybe even more important than that is I want you to live as happily in the best quality life you can Possibly live. I want you to live the most enjoyable life you can, and I don't think you can do that when you're constantly upset and thinking about your weight. I don't think it's possible. I don't think you're any better of a person if you're overweight or less. I don't. I don't think your weight defines you as a person. But I do think that if you're unhappy with your weight, it becomes a real anchor in your life. It's constantly pulling you down. So for you to be the person you want to be, to live as long as you can, and to live the quality of life that you truly deserve, I believe you have got to get your weight and your health under control. You've got to get your mindset, lifestyle, and eating under control. How else could you live the best quality of life you could possibly live? So, again, what I'm alluding to is in program Yourself, then we take your weight loss, we wrap it in personal development. Another key difference from dieting, it's so much more than just the number on the scale or the size of the clothes or what you look like. It's really about who you are, how you're living, how you're thinking, what you're doing day in and day out. And those are the things that really make the impact in your life, because those are the things that affect your relationships, your work, your personal life. Whatever is important to you in your life is directly impacted by your energy, by your mindset, by the emotions you feel regularly. And when you start to get control of your weight and your eating and your health, all of those things get better, Your life gets better. And so for me, that's why it's so important. So again, the mindset piece, that's the six categories I take you through. Again, in program yourself, then there's three main components. The first one is knowing what to do, and that's the goal. Weight blueprints. Right. So again, I literally take you through step by step, the questions to help you design the mindset lifestyle and eating patterns that are customized to you, that allow you to live as a thin, healthy person. And it becomes a blueprint you can follow for the rest of your life. And you can tweak it and adapt as you get better and improve and grow and evolve, but it becomes a plan that tells you what to do, that's built around you. The next step is the program yourself and technique of learning how to get yourself to do it. So this is a 60 second self hypnosis exercise you use at night. And it's real simple way, it's built for a beginner. It's really easy, but it's a way to program your mind, to train your subconscious mind to do all the things that you want to do and to get yourself to do them. And then finally, as a support system where you have get hypnosis sessions every day for eight weeks, they get bookended one. So every morning you get a five minute hypnosis session. It's always a different one, but every day you relax, you calm down, start your day grounded, centered, calm, hearing all this good stuff in your head. And then at night you get a 10 minute session. And each week you get one of those, you listen that one repeatedly. But that one's got a core weight loss mantra in it. And so you kind of bookend your days with these and it becomes, you know, kind of this little cocoon where all this work you're doing seeps deep into your subconscious mind. So again, I don't care if you get it or not. I'm not here to sell the program. I'm here just to point out what's possible, what's out there. Because most likely what you've been thinking about when it comes to weight loss is dieting. There's none of those things I just mentioned in your diet. The diet is someone saying, here, do this, and you saying, okay, I'm going to force myself to do it. And again, regardless of what that paper says, it doesn't matter if that paper says count your points, don't eat for 16 hours, just eat meat, go into ketosis. Whatever that paper says doesn't matter because you don't know how to get yourself to do it consistently. You don't know how to change your behavior long term. And the only reason you don't know that is because you've never learned it. Once you learn it, it's. It's kind of obvious, right? There's a real system to making this happen. So yeah, Rose says, why am I losing inches but not on the scale, I don't go to gym. I. That's strange. I don't know. That's unusual. Usually if, yeah, if you're going to the gym, you can kind of reshape your body a bit. But if you, you're losing inches, the scale staying the same, you're losing inches and nothing else is changing physically. That's a good question. And I don't know, there must be something happening. But yeah. Are you doing something different? You Start a new job. Are you moving more? You know, what, what's going on there? Maybe you're doing something physically more. User676 do you take issue with people that take GLP1 for suppressed appetite? No, I take no issue with it. I have plenty of people in the program that, that are on GLP1s. Doesn't matter. Again, I'm not a big fan of GLP1s. I think that, you know, if you want to get in the program on them, that's fine because I have plenty of people. Do they say, well, I just want this to help me with the cravings while I get the mindset piece down? Yeah, it's fine. You know, I think that's smart. But again, ideally, if you're on the fence, oh, should I do program yourself then or GLP1? I mean, I think 1,000% you should program yourself then. Like, I mean, program yourself then is superior. There's no question about it. How, how could it not be? Right? Because, you know, we're talking about, you know, the GLP1s. First thing you gotta understand is GLP1s. You get 16 months of weight loss and then you stabilize. That's what the studies have shown. All the studies from all the different GLP1s. They show about 16 months of weight loss and then you stabilize. And that's the weight you're gonna be at forever. So if you're morbidly obese, if you're very obese, you will probably continue to be overweight, slightly obese for the rest of your life, most likely. But you know, again, everyone gets different. So, so that's one thing to keep in mind. But okay, let's just say you get down to your goal weight now, you're on this medicine for the rest of your life. You haven't learned to shift your mindset, you haven't changed your lifestyle. You've been forced to change your eating because of this medicine. And with program yourself, then you think differently. You understand how to run your mind. You upgrade your motivation, your self image. You know how to influence your habits. You know how to deal with your emotions more effectively. You know how to think differently, you know how to maintain. You start shifting your lifestyle so you have more energy, more calm, more balanced moods. Your eating starts to not just be less, but starts to transform into becoming healthier as well. And on top of it, at the end of the day, you've got a customized system and plan for the rest of your life to live at your goal weight. And if you get off track. You have plans and strategies to use to get back on track. You know, I don't know. It's just. I. I wouldn't do it, but. But again, you know, everyone has to make their choice. But no, I, I personally, I don't take any issue because, you know, everyone's on their own path, you know, and GLP1s are way better than diets, so at least there's that. You know, Kimmy says, love this. Thank you. Appreciate that. Don says, I can't seem to get the hypnosis on circle. I was able to a few weeks ago. Okay, Don. Yeah, I'm gonna fix that for. I think I know what the problem is. And it says 100 agree. Thank you. Yeah. It's a different paradigm. Yes, absolutely. Docs view obesity as a chronic disease that should be treated as such. So they say it will always come back unless you continue treating it. No, I know doctors will say that because doctors don't know anything about weight loss. So there you go. They don't. They don't. I mean, you all, you all have doctors. You've all gone to the doctors. They've all said the same thing. You should think about losing some weight. Wow. Eat better and exercise. Thanks, doc. That's not gonna help me at all. Doctors have. Unless a doctor's really personally interested in it and studies it on their own, doctors never get training on weight loss. No one has any. I would say. And here I go. I. I want to apologize for sounding conceited here, but I. I believe that I can help you live at your goal weight more than any person on the planet. And I stand in stark contrast to the idea and the paradigm of doctors that this is a chronic disease that you have to treat forever. I don't believe that. Why don't I believe that? Well, you imagine. Why. Why would you believe that, Jim? What are you talking about? Because Program Yourself then has been entirely designed around people that have lost weight and kept it off long term. Over 30 years ago, I was 50 pounds heavier and I started learning Neuro Linguistic Programming. And NLP is basically the science of role modeling. You find people are getting the results you want and you figure out how they did it and model them. Okay? And so I learned nlp and I was like, holy shit. Okay. And for the first time in my life, I didn't ask people that were struggling with their weight how to lose weight. I went and found people that had lost weight and kept it off for at least two years. Now, I'll give you a little Trick. Most of them were at the why. A lot of them were at the why why because their lifestyle had changed to incorporate the why as part of it. And when I began speaking with these people, it became obvious as day how different they were thinking and the strategies they were using were completely different than the dieting ones. So we know people lose weight for good every year. Are we studying them, are we modeling them? Or are we obsessed with people that can't keep the weight off and how they're not able to do it? So we come up with these ideas of, oh yeah, it's a weight set point. Oh, it's the leptin signal. It wants their body to go back up the other weight. Yeah, maybe, maybe if you don't change your mindset and your lifestyle and your eating, if you just drastically cut your calories down and exercise, maybe, yeah, you'll go right back. But if you transform yourself from the inside out, thoroughly, mindset, lifestyle and eating, you can live your goal weight forever. I watch it every day. This is what I do for a living. I've been at the same weight for 30 years. I won Blip 13 years ago and I put 25 pounds on and took it off. So I have such a robust system, I could never go back to my overweight self. I'm gonna say never. I guess anything's possible. Okay, but this chronic disease model is. Now, listen, if someone has no idea how to influence their mindset, lifestyle and eating strategically. Yeah, they've got no chance in hell. Sure, it may present as a disease. It is not a disease. I don't buy into that model. Not one bit. Not one bit. So doctors, I, I mean, I love doctors. I love doctors. My arm breaks. Great. You know what I mean? I get certain diagnosis, I'm right to the doctor. When it comes to a doctor telling me how to nourish myself or how to manage my weight, they don't know. Even the obesity doctors don't know shit because they listen. The medical paradigm is built around interventions, surgeries, medicines. The medical, the western medicine is not built around dealing with the core problem. The western medicine is built around treating the symptom. That's why the main thing you see pushed out here is GLP1s and surgery. That's what the medical establishment puts out there. So anyways, user says. So you don't think that your body wants to be a certain set point and that it will go toward that unless you have strong guardrails? No, of course I believe your body wants to be overweight. All of our bodies want to be overweight. Listen folks, we evolved in a food scarce environment over millions of years. So your entire brain is primarily focused on getting food into your body. Food consumption has been the primary focus of humans our entire existence on earth. And so we've evolved to have these brains that can see there's a thing called spontaneous veracity, right? We could eat a whole meal and see more food that shows up and we could get hungry again and eat all of it. So yeah, all of our brain and our biochemistry is, wants us to eat, eat, eat, eat, eat. Because we've evolved in food scarce environments where there wasn't enough calories. So anytime you could eat more, it was beneficial for your survival. We all have inherited that mindset in this biology. And now though we live in an environment of last 50 years, it's an alien environment where we're surrounded not only by abundant calories, but calories that are hyper palatable, hyper addictive. So absolutely, you need to have guard rails, there's no question about it. You know, and yes, a body set point. So let's just talk about weight set point for a second. I think I have this conversation all day long because what's the medical industry and diet industry talk about? Weight set point, that you think of it only as a physical thing, right? You think about as leptin signaling, maybe ghrelin signaling, other hormonal signaling. Right. And so it's always nudging you to eat until you get back to that weight. That's how they talk about it. Okay, but what about the other side of it? What about the idea that your brain right now at this point is wired to do the things that you do? Okay, so let's take this for example. Because you, you, most people don't look at their weight as a behavioral issue. They look as a nutritional issue. They don't look at it as a behavioral issue. And the thing that makes weighing less harder is the behaviors that support that. And what happens is right now, if you're overweight, your brain is wired to be overweight. Meaning what's easy for you to do keeps you overweight. Let me give you an example. You know how to write, you can write with your hand, right? No problem. So you know everything there is to know about how to write, but you can't do it with the other hand. You can only do it with one hand. Why? Because you've programmed that into your mind. Your, your right hand, left hand, doesn't matter. Whichever hand you've learned to write with has the Wiring to write. The other hand does not have the wiring. Now you've got the knowledge. The knowledge is right there. But you can only do it with one hand because you've only programmed one hand to do it. Okay? So when we bring it to weight loss, you've got all the knowledge of what you should do. Fine. But what you've programmed into your mind is all the behaviors of being an overweight person. So going from being overweight to being thin and healthy is much more like learning how to write with the other hand. And it's not. I'm not saying it's the easiest thing in the world, but I'm talking about a completely different paradigm. So when you're overweight, yeah, the thoughts you have, your environmental triggers, your programming, your. Your Pavlovian responses to your environment, your habits, your routines, how you think about food, how you manage emotions, what your motivations are, what your environment is, all of these things. These are the guardrails keeping you overweight right now. And these are the same guardrails that most overweight people never deal with. So to me, the main thing causing your weight set point to be high is. Is your brain. You think of yourself as an overweight person. You're. Again, when you act naturally, you're overweight. So that part, to me, is way more important than the fucking leptin signaling. And I. You know, again, the medical industry, they don't want to give you a solution unless it's based on a symptom they can sell money for. So of course they want to call it a disease, and let's treat it with GLP1s because we make money off of GLP1s, but let's call it a disease. The only way to deal with it is stomach surgery. So let's just promote that. Are they talking about mindset ever? Do we not think it's important? So why do some people have an easier time just being thin, naturally, don't care about food? I mean, there's a million reasons. You know what I mean? Like, again, there is genetics. Genetics does play a part. There's no question about it. The primary factor, in my opinion, though, again, it's nature, nurture. Right? But the main thing, in my opinion, is nurture. Again, there is a nature component to it. Absolutely. There are people that are predisposed to be heavier than people predisposed to be lighter. There's no question about that. Okay, so I'm not saying everyone can be the same weight. It's the same path for everyone. It's not what I'm saying though, is that the nurture piece is way bigger. So again, why is it? I mean, again, people are different. You know what I mean? People are different societies and different environments. But again, if you grew up in, if you're struggling with your weight, you know, if you zoom back and rewind your life and put you in a different environment where you always were eating whole natural foods and you're around people that eat healthy and, you know, you learned how to eat healthy and you learned how to be active and you learned how to think about things in a more proper way. Would it affect your weight? And I know that for a fact it does. Because again, this is. I've done this for over 20 years professionally, folks. Done over 6,000 private weight loss sessions. I'm not just making this up, right? I've made it up and I've tested it and I test it constantly. So again, I'm not saying everyone can weigh the same amount, by the way, I'm not saying everyone can get to the normal range of a BMI chart, but I'm saying everyone can get their weight down in a more comfortable, easier way than they've ever thought about. You just need a more holistic strategy. And dieting is not it. Earnest food brain and never struggle with weight. Yeah. I mean, there's certain people that never struggle with weight, obviously. You know, there's no doubt about it. However, you're also watching. The obesity rates are skyrocketing. Over the last 40 years, obesity rates have absolutely skyrocketed. So in terms of genetic factors, there's no way in the world that the genetic factors shifted so dramatically in 40 years. There's obviously something else going on. And there's something else going on, I believe is a combination of obsessive marketing. Right? We take it for granted at this point. Think about it. Before 70 years ago, there was no marketing. There was no food to market. Think about that, you know, so you are getting literally, it's estimated, you're seeing literally, I mean, this. Hear what I'm saying? Every single day of your life. Let's just say now as well. Right now, you are exposed to thousands, literally, literally thousands of food ads a day. Now, what's a food ad? It's not just the obvious food ad you see on tv, radio, Internet. It's when you walk into a store and you see a thousand products packaged. Okay, that's food marketing. You don't even take it. You think about it. Before 50, 70 years ago, there was. You ever saw 600 packages of food in front of you, they were all hyper palatable. You never had to deal with this in life. Again, you have to understand we step into this alien environment which is the reality we live in. Deal with this in life. Again, you have to understand you. We step into this alien environment which is the reality we live in now with the foods we're around. It's literally an alien environment. Doesn't even never in the human history have we ever been exposed to this type of food stuff that's literally designed to be addictive to get us to overeat it. And not only is it designed and to be overeated now with the foods we're around, it's literally an alien environment. Doesn't never in the human history have we ever been exposed to this type of food stuff that's literally designed to be addictive to get us to overeat it. And not only is it designed to be overeating, right? So the product itself is hyper addictive. But on top of that there is never ending marketing constantly. Now if you don't believe in hypnosis, what do you think an advertisement is? What do you think a commercial is? And you've been exposed to tens of millions of food ads in your life. So there's a psychological programming that's been going on your whole life to get you to overeat, unhealthy, overweight inducing foods. And on top of that, the actual products themselves are constantly being engineered to be more and more and more addictive to you. So again, the idea, why are some people more food brain than others? I find to be just, it's, it's not valuable, it's not a, it's not a valuable discussion to have. I couldn't explain why that is, but what I can say is I can understand why. I can tell you why you, I can tell you, I can specifically identify the reasons you are struggling with your weight. And it's all the things I'm talking about and you've got no strategies to deal with them. So is there a physical set point concept? Yes, there is. There is. It seems like there absolutely is. Is it something that dictates you have to be overweight now? Absolutely not. Because there are way too many people that are losing weight. Again, it may be five to. Well, those are dieters, but people that lose weight, there's people losing weight and keeping off the rest of their lives, millions of them every year. Study them, what are they doing? And what you start to notice is a real pattern there. They make a Real commitment to it. They change their mindset, they improve their lifestyle, they improve their reading in a way that works for them and they commit to it long term and get better and better and better each and every day at eating, at living, at thinking like a thin, healthy person until it becomes pretty automatic if you approach, you know, again, that's my goal. I mean, maybe one day, you know, I think a program yourself then is a college course for weight, weight mastery. I, I think of it as a course to live at your goal weight like a college course though. And that's why again, I really appeal to, and my program's really for overthinkers, action takers, perfectionist type, A type people. Those are the people that do well with my program. So again, you know, again, I can't say program. Something's absolutely not for everyone. People that don't want to do that sort of work, it's not going to work for you. Okay, it might work for a little while. Get my hypnosis program. I can make people lose weight, but to actually keep it off long term, you got to get involved. It's like going to college. Right? Again, I can't, you know, I can put together the greatest trainings in the world, but if you're not going to go and do the program, if you're not going to put the work in, you know, do the work, if you're not going to do that, you're not going to get the results in college. And it's the same thing in program yourself then, you know, so I make that very clear because to be honest, most people that want to lose weight just want a hack. They just want, give me a trick, give, give me, tell me one thing to do to fix it. Well, that ain't going to work. You need to make a real commitment. Most dieters aren't willing to make a real commitment to it, to be honest, you know, and it's the same thing. And program yourself then, you know. So I make that very clear because to be honest, most people, to be honest, I think most people weigh what they want away use a 676. Do you think people should lose enough to be normal based on bmi? Tons of people are overweight but are have good health and take care of themselves. Yeah, that's a great point. No, I, absolutely, the BMI chart is flawed to the extreme. Okay. However, I, I think the BMI chart has some value as a data point when you're looking to figure your goal weight. So I think it's a reference point I think it's important to understand that if you are, you know, a person of color, if you're short, if you're a bodybuilder, you know, there's situations where the BMI chart does not, is not accurate for you, okay? It's if you're a middle aged white guy, it's great, it's very accurate, okay? Because that's what it was built around. So it's flawed. Again, I'm not, I'm not going to argue that. And I think you're totally right as well that people in the overweight category oftentimes are, are healthy or healthier sometimes, but the health. There seems to be no health difference between normal weight and overweight. Statistically. Now you start getting obesity, right? You start getting the obese category. Now the health thing starts showing up. So there absolutely seems to be a correlation between the obese category and above. And health issues, you know, that's when the type 2 diabetes starts showing up. You know, the hypertension, the, the, you know, just different sit, different things start showing up. And then underweight as well. You know, you start getting some health issues. So normal weight to overweight, the health seems very similar. And so now it just becomes what your personal choice is. And that's what I don't like about the BMI chart because it has a bias towards normal weight. Well, so what are we doing with this BMI chart, right? What are we looking at it? Is this an aesthetic, you know, is this an aesthetic chart or is this a health chart? Medical industry and I don't think a lot of people look at it that way. I think they conflate them. And so, you know, again, if we're looking at a health chart, we shouldn't call it, in my opinion, normal and overweight. We should say healthy range weight, but that's not how we interpret it. So yes, you're absolutely right that I think the BMI chart I think is a good reference point. It's a data point, it's not the whole thing. But then I think ultimately, and again, this is one of the things I help people with a lot because they struggle to choose their goal weight. The truth is most people have never learned how to choose their goal weight. Folks looking at a BMI chart and looking to see what your height is and then seeing what you should weigh is not choosing your goal weight, that's having it chosen for you. Okay? Choosing your goal weight is really a process of what, what weight is going to give you the best quality of life. And that's something you have to decide for yourself. And most likely you've never thought of it that way. And so your goal weight doesn't really resonate with you because it's a goal weight that you never really picked. So X says, this is very helpful. Thank you so much. You're welcome. American and Japanese, for example, have different bone structures. Yep. Japanese can be healthy with the bmi. Underweight. Yeah, exactly, exactly. X. So again, the BMI chart is not the end all, be all. I do think that it's a decent reference point to get a sense where you want to be. But as long as you're within the normal healthy range for most people, or normal overweight range for most people, it's not so much a health thing, it's an aesthetic thing, what you want to do, you know? M says, did you lose weight with your mindset? How did you get into this work? Yeah, absolutely. My. My weight loss was 100% mindset. I was 50 pounds heavier. I was binge drinking. I was in a real tough spot in life. And I was, again, I always tell you this story. It's amazing to me. And I had taken a semester off from college and literally within like a month or two, all of these things fell in my lap. It's literally. That's why I do this every day. You know, it honestly is kind of the pay it forward thing. I am so eternally grateful for that moment in my life. I was so lost and like, literally through no fault of my own, hypnosis falls in my lap. Nlp, neuro linguistic programming falls in my lap. Yoga, meditation, guitar, martial arts, playing guitar. Did I just say that? Yeah. And all these things fell in my lap. And it was amazing. And all of a sudden, you know, I dove into him head first. I loved him so much right away because I all of a sudden felt like I had control. Or I don't say control, but. But influence over my mind. And once I had influence over my mind, I knew I could change my weight. And it was all mindset work for me. I mean, it was strategy too. I always think of, like, mastering your weight comes down to mindset and strategy. You need to have the right mindset, you need to have the right strategies. And that's what I'm obsessed with. And it's been over 30 years now of me really constantly optimizing my mindset and always optimizing my strategies. And that's why I teach and program yourself then. And you know, initially I learned, so I learned that kind of this, this concepts like NLP is the role model, the science of role modeling. And then I went and found people are getting the results I wanted. And I would talk to them, you know, really learn from them, dive in deep with how they changed, what made that change, how they thought about it, how they've set their lives up, how they eat, how they approach food. I just like a little sponge. I wanted to know everything they did. And as I learned what they did, it became very obvious what I could do to get the same results. And it wasn't dieting. I make the point. I remember in my life, growing up, pretty much my whole life, he was there. He was kind of a friend of the family, and he was a great guy. His name was Mark and he was a comedian. And he's just a great. I, I like the guy a lot, but he was also. It was over £400, always, you know, really big his whole life. And the reason I mentioned him is because he probably taught me more about diets than anyone. He was on a different diet like every other week. I mean, he spent so much money too. I mean, this guy, he would buy literally any weight loss plan that someone offered him. And. And every time I'd see him, you know, and I saw him pretty regularly, I say, what's going on? He would tell me, like, oh, this time I'm doing this, now I'm gonna do this, this. And every time it was something different. And so he taught me more about diets than anyone. He never, never ended up losing any weight. Ended the last 20 years of his life and ended in a wheelchair. He's in a wheelchair all the time. So for me, it was such a dramatic. And to be honest, a lot of people I was raised around struggled with weight. I mean, my dad died at 54 of a heart attack. He was obese. You know, it was very direct kid. And so I was surrounded and I was Greek. You know, everything's about food there. So it was jarring, though, to see the difference between how Mark thought about weight loss through his diets and never succeed and was always, you know, very, very overweight. And then when I started speaking with people that actually created change and had had it stick, it stuck with them. And it was, again, it was night and day. And that was really the beginning around struggle with weight. I mean, my dad died at 54 of a heart attack. He was obese. You know, it was very directly weight related. And so I was surrounded and I was Greek. You know, everything's about food there. So it was, it was jarring though, to see the difference between how Mark thought about weight loss through his diets and never succeeded was always, you know, very, very overweight. I think that was the foundation for me personally. That's how I started getting into it. And so, you know, I dropped 50 pounds, but I, I, my life transformed. It wasn't just weight loss, you understand, it was really this transformation of who I was. That's why I say, for me, program yourself then is weight loss wrapped in personal development. Because for me, it was more like, I think of it as like, it was personal development. I became this different version of myself, and my weight was different as that version of me. So I don't know if that makes sense, because it wasn't primarily about the weight. It was more about who I wanted to be, and the weight was a piece of that. That shift is very important, folks. Trying to make the weight. The only thing that matters are the main. And then when I started speaking with people that actually created change and had had it stick, it stuck with them. And it was, again, it was night and day. And that was really the beginning. That was the foundation for me personally. That's how I started getting into it. And so, you know, I dropped 50 pounds, but I, I, my life transformed. It wasn't just weight loss, you understand, thing it, I know it feels like that should be enough, but it's not. I mean, what do you think? I. You're not really motivated to lose weight if you're overweight and have been for a while. I will almost guarantee you I've never seen. No one's ever proven me wrong on this, but I'm sure there's a situation out there where I'm wrong. But I have never seen, personally, someone who's overweight that was truly motivated to live at their goal weight that didn't get results. So, again, you have to understand, right? I do this professionally, and again, I got my program and stuff, but for years I was a coach, and it costs a lot of money to work with me. And so it's like, people would come to me and they're apathetic, right? They're discouraged, they're frustrated. They can't get themselves started. They don't know what it was really this transformation of who I was. That's why I say for me, program yourself then is weight loss wrapped in personal development. Because for me, it was more like, I think of it as like it was personal development. I became this different version of myself, and my weight was different as that version of me. So I don't know if that makes sense because it wasn't primarily to lose weight. And then we start working together and they start losing weight. And that's this pattern over and over and over and over again. And I do the same thing with my people in the program. And so again, when you have a systematic approach that makes sense, it's not that difficult. It's really not. I'm not saying it's the easiest thing either. Okay. Please understand, I equate this to like college. I mean, it's a long term commitment to figure this out, but once you figure it out, you got it. Just like college, you, you know, you, you put those, you know, two, four, eight years, however long you choose to do it, into getting a degree and getting that expertise about the weight. It was more about who I wanted to be, and the weight was a piece of that. That shift is very important, folks. Trying to make the weight. The only thing that matters are the maze. And, you know, you start where you start and you just systematically keep working on it until you get to where you want to be thing it. I know it feels like that should be enough, but it's not. I mean, what do you think? I. You're not really motivated to lose weight if you're overweight and have been for a while, I will almost guarantee. And so it's the same thing with the weight, but you all have never thought of it that way. You know what I mean? And they says, I lost 12 and now it's all back because I've been traveling this summer. Yeah, I get it. That's. Traveling is definitely one of the biggest challenges. There is no, no question about it. And the reason why is because again, the warranty you. I, I've never seen. No one's ever proved me wrong on this, but I'm sure there's a situation out there where I'm wrong. But I have never seen personally, someone who's overweight that was truly motivated to limit their goal weight that didn't get results. So again, you have to understand, our brains work. We're very Pavlovian and we tend to, you know, situations and environments trigger things in us. Okay. And so when all of a sudden we travel again, just traveling in general, we're out of our normal routines and now, you know, we're in travel mode. We're more tired, more stressed, we're more unknown of the situation, and we're way more likely to eat more. So anyway, I do this professionally and again, I got my program and stuff, but for years I Was again, give yourself a little bit of grace, you know, realize that traveling is literally one of the most biggest challenges and you know, minimize the damage while you're traveling and then you know, with an eye towards when you get back, you know, refocusing in on it. User 676 I want to be able to eat hyper palatable foods on a daily basis in moderate portions as other thin people coach. And it costs a lot of money to work with me. And so it's like people would come to me and they're apathetic, right? They're discouraged, they're frustrated, they can't get themselves started, they don't know what to do to lose weight. And then we start working together and they start losing weight and that's this pattern over and over and over and over again. And I do the same thing with my people in the program and so again we'll do and not just eat bland foods. Yeah, no, I agree with that. I think everyone needs to figure out that variety question is so important, you know, so in program yourself then one of the things we do with like the eating blueprint is you figure out how to structure your reading. That is the golden rule of program yourself then is there's no right or wrong, there's only what works for you. The one exception to that is that I believe you need to structure your reading. Again, it's that Pavlovian nature of our minds. You need to structure your reading. Now how you structure, it's up to you. But absolutely you do not need to get rid of hyper palatable foods completely. Absolutely not. And program yourself. Then we have clean and pleasure days. Clean and pleasure. And when you have a systematic approach that makes sense, it's not that difficult. It's really not. I'm not saying it's the easiest thing either. Okay, Please understand, I equate this to like college. I mean it's a long term commitment to figure this out. But once you figure it out, you got it. Just like college, you know, you put those, you know, two meals right as a concept and it's exactly for that reason. How, how do we structure it so that I'm getting the enjoyment and the variety of the hyper palatable food? But how do I balance it so that I'm also getting the clean foods that support my health, happiness and the weight that I want to be at? And where's the sweet spot where I can have the, you know, the, the ratios that make me happy and be at the weight I want to be at? So again user 676. That's a great. I like that what you're saying. I like how you're thinking. That's a great question. That's a great concept to start focusing on. Most likely though, you're just saying that as a wish and a dream. There's no real plan that to figure out what you just said and in program yourself. Then we systematically figure that out four or eight years, however long you choose to do it, into getting a degree and getting that expertise. And you know, you start where you start and you just systematically keep working on it until you get to where you want to be. And so it's the same thing with the weight. But you all have never thought of it that way. You know what I mean? And he says, I lost 12. And now how. Because again, I. I don't give up anything, folks. There's no food that I can't eat or don't eat that I like. That being said, I very much structure my eating. So right now, today's a Wednesday. It's a clean day for me. Now, does that mean I'm always clean on a Wednesday? No, I might, you know, Wednesday, I don't know, some party might pop off. I don't know. It's all back because I've been traveling this summer. Yeah, I get it. That's. Traveling is definitely one of the biggest challenges. There is no question about it. And the reason why is because again, the way Wednesday, and all of a sudden I'm there and I'm drinking wine, I'm eating more bullshit than I normally would. That can happen too. But a typical Wednesday for me is pretty low key. I'm working, doing my normal stuff. So I usually eat pretty clean, you know, but. But I'll still have a little bit of hyperpower. I may have some chocolate tonight. Maybe I'll have some ice cream tonight. I don't know. But I might have something. But the core of what I'm eating today is very clean, nourishing. How our brains work. We're very Pavlovian and we tend to, you know, situations and environments trigger things in us, okay? And so when all of a sudden we travel, healthy food. And that's how I eat. The core of what I'm eating Monday through Friday is really focused in on clean, nourishing, healthy food. On the weekends, it's more dialed more towards the pleasure food. And I have figured out the exact ratios and ways of eating that make me happy and keep me at the weight I want to be at. And it's very strategic and very structured. Anyone can do that. Again, just traveling in general, we're out of our normal routines and now you know, we're in travel mode. We're more tired, more stressed, we're more unknown of the situation and we're way more likely to eat more. So again give yourself a little bit of grace. You know, realize that traveling is literally one of the most biggest challenges. It's not rocket science, believe it. I joke around again. I don't think I'm a dummy but I'm not a rocket scientist. This isn't like it's just not that complicated. The hard part again I always joke, you know I'm a hypnotist so I always thought when I was training do hypnosis and you know, minimize the damage while you're traveling and then you know, with analysis that I was going to hypnotize people to lose weight and help them and what I've really come to eye towards when you get back, you know refocusing in on it. User676 I want to be able to eat hyper palatable foods on a daily basis in moderate portions as other thin people do and not just eat bland foods. Yeah, no I agree with that. I think everyone needs to figure out realize is more of my work is dehypnotizing people, pulling people out of trance. Folks you're all, you're all in a food trance. You know people talk about food noise. Food noise is basically food hypnosis. What do you think food noise is exactly? Do you think that any part of food noise might be the tens of millions of food ads you've seen in your life? How that variety question is so important, you know. So in program yourself then one of the things we do whispering in your ear is that possible? That's even a fraction of it. You know what you've been programmed to do is is very hypnotic. I'll leave that alone. But, but yeah again getting structure on your reading and doing it in a strategic way that works for you is is the one of the foundations of the program Rachika. Am I saying that right? Like the eating blueprint is you figure out how to structure your reading. That is the golden rule of program yourself then is there's no right or wrong, there's only what works for you. The one exception to that is that I believe you need to structure your reading. How's it going? Do you believe in hyper ketosis diet? I don't believe in the ketosis diet. So again it's that PAVLOVIAN nature of our minds. You need to structure your reading. Now. I'm sure I wouldn't believe in the hyper ketosis diet, but what a day. I always love to hear some new stupid diet. So hyper ketosis. I'm loving that. Let's look this one up. Please tell me there's some state of fat burning that's better than ketosis. And it's called how you structure. It's up to you, but absolutely you do not need to get rid of hyper palatable foods for ketosis. Ketosis and the keto diet have some of the worst ratings of diets on the planet. And I said, but my cousin lost £50 completely. Absolutely not. And program yourself. Then we have clean and pleasure days. Clean and pleasure meals. Right. As a concept. And it's exactly for that reason. How, how do we structure it so that I'm getting the enjoyment and the variety of the hyper palatable food? But how do I balance it? I lost 60 pounds, Jim. What are you talking about? Yeah, how long did they keep it off for? No one sticks to a ketosis diet, folks. No one sticks to a keto diet. Long term hypercidosis. That was a state of excessively high ketone levels in the blood. Goofy. So I'm also getting the clean foods that support my health, happiness and the weight that I want to be at. And none of you are going to keep the weight off on hyper ketosis. So goofy, goofy, goofy. And he says it's all about how, where's the, the sweet spot where I can have the, you know, the, the ratios that make me happy and be at the weight I want to be at. So again, you had. You want it. That's not true. That's not true. It's also about your strategy. You know, you could want it as much as possible, but if you have a shitty strategy, you won't stick with it. You'll overwhelm yourself and you'll run out of steam. So six, seven, six. That's a great. I like that, what you're saying. I like how you're thinking. That's a great question. That's a great. It's not just about how bad you want it. That's an important piece. Don't get me wrong, motivation is very important. And how you think about it and how motivated you are absolutely matters. But I'm as motivated as anyone on the planet to be at my goal weight. But if all of a sudden, you know, you changed my lifestyle and eating on me, I would struggle to be at my goal Weight. I need all the pieces there the concept to start focusing on. Most likely though, you're just saying that as a wish and a dream. There's no real plan that'll figure out what you just said and in program yourself. Then we systematically figure that out and how because again I, I don't give up anything, folks. There's no food that I can't eat or, and just wanting it enough is that is the just do it no pain, no gain diet message you've been getting your whole life and it's not true. It is not true and it sets you up for failure. So I couldn't disagree with that more. Em says, what are your top three mindset tips or quotes to remind yourself on this journey? Oh my God, don't eat that. I like that being said, I vary top three. I'm a big one again in programming yourself then hip hypnosis wise again if you, if you join, it's an eight week again it's, it's a lifelong program. They get access to forever. But one component of the program is the goal weight hypnosis system. And it's an eight week system where you get morning hypnosis sessions and much structure my eating. So right now, today's a Wednesday. It's a clean day for me. Now does that mean I'm always clean on a Wednesday? No, I might, you know, Wednesday, I don't know, some party might pop off on a Wednesday and all of a sudden I'm there and I'm, I'm drinking wine, I'm eating more bullshit than I normally would. That can happen too. But it's, there's night hypnosis sessions, but you get a total of 67 sessions with different mantras in them. Because I, I, I'm a big believer in mantras. That's how we think. Okay, and so what are the big three? I could never come up with just the top three. But I'll give you the three that'll come to my mind. First. Number one, nothing tastes as good as thin and healthy feels. That's probably my number one by a mile. Typical Wednesday for me is pretty low key. I'm working, doing my normal stuff, so I usually eat pretty clean. I think that all the time, constantly. Because I find it to be absolutely true. Absolutely true. Nothing. To me, nothing tastes as good as it feels. To be the person I want to be, to weigh what I want to weigh, to have the health and lifestyle I want to have. I, nothing even comes close to it taste wise. Okay, so that's first one, you know, but, but I'll still have a little bit of hyperpower. I have some chocolate tonight. Maybe I'll have some ice cream tonight, I don't know, but I might have something. But the core of what I'm eating today is very clean, nourishing, healthy food. And that's how I eat. The core of what I'm eating Monday through Friday is really focused in on clean, nourishing, healthy food. On the weekends it's more Dial Morton. What else? There's no failure, only feedback. I like that a lot. That's, that's when I think about a lot. Again, I got a million of them, so I'm trying to pick the one that I'm, I think that I use the most. No failure, only feedback's really big because you're going to make mistakes, you know. Again, dieting gives you this fairy tale idea that you're going towards the, the pleasure foods. And I have figured out the exact ratios and ways of eating that make them. Start your diet, be perfect with it. Get to your goal weight. Be perfect with it forever, ever more. That's me happy and keep me at the weight I want to be at. And it's very strategic and very structured. Anyone can do that. It's not rocket science. Believe it. I joke around again. I don't think I'm a dummy, but I'm not around. True. You'll start your diet, you'll make mistakes and you'll need to get back on track. You do not need to be perfect to lose weight. You need to be better. And that's another kind of philosophy thing I say is 1% better a day. That's a, that's a core rocket scientist. This isn't like, it's just not that complicated. The hard part, program yourself in philosophy. And the idea is that instead of trying to get 100% better on in one day, which is what dieters do, we look to get 1% better each and every day. And the magic of that is that over a year you're not 365% better. You are literally 3569% better because of the effects of compound. I always joke, you know, I'm a hypnotist. So I always thought when I was training do hypnosis that I was going to hypnotize people to lose weight and help them. And what I've really come to founding interest because every day you get 1% better, you get 1% better on the 1% better you were the day before realize is More of my work is de. Hypnotizing people, pulling people out of transport. You see what I mean? And so compounds at a rate that your brain doesn't really understand but that shows up in life being really powerful. And I'll drive that home with one of my favorite quotes, the number four, which is that most people overestimate how much weight they can lose in a month. And under folks, you're all, you're all in a food trance. You know, people talk about food noise. Food noise is based estimate how much weight they can lose in a year. And I think that's another core one. Again, I could go on and on. I literally, I am a library of quotes and mantras because I've literally programmed myself in that I have quotes and mantras for literally every situation. That's what I do and program myself. Then that's part of the support system is again having this hypnosis, typically food hypnosis. What do you think food noise is exactly? Do you think that any part of food noise might be the tens of millions of food ads you've seen in your life whispering in your ear is that possible? That's even a fraction of it, you know, kind of relaxing you, calming you down and filling your head with all these great ideas you've never had this, this is the number one hypnosis program on the planet. I don't sell it by itself simply because I don't value weight loss over living at your goal weight. And so yes, I could literally make anyone lose weight. I did this. You know what you've been programmed to do is, is very hypnotic that. Last year I sold the hypnosis program on its own. Sold a bunch of them, got a bunch of positive feedback on it. But what I didn't like about it is I know it's not going to keep people at their goal weight on that alone. But. But yeah, again, getting structure on your reading and doing it in a strategic way that works for you is, is the one of the foundations of the program. Rachika. Am I saying that right? How's it going? Unless they get the full program. So I stopped doing that. But that is a core part of the program. It's the number one hypnosis program on the planet, folks. I mean on planet Earth, this is the number one hypnosis program. There's nothing like it. A, you gotta be a good hypnotist. I am. But B, you need to really understand living at your goal weight. Do you believe in hyper ketosis diet? I don't believe in the ketosis diet. So I'm sure I wouldn't believe in the hyper ketosis diet, but what a day. I always love to hear some. And that is where. There's no hypnotist on the planet that has worked with weight than more than I have. I have been doing this obsessively, personally for over 30 years. Professionally, for over 20 years, I've done over 6,000 private weight loss sessions. So there's. I have not seen anyone. Anyone. I've seen hypnotists that make weight loss sessions that are bullshit. New stupid diet. So hyper ketosis. I'm loving that. Let's look this one up. Please tell me there's some state of fat burning that's better than ketosis. And it's called never buy a hypnosis program that's got three hypnosis sessions in it. It's not going to do anything for you. You need consistent reinforcement of thinking like a thin, healthy person. And it needs to be very strategic and there needs to be reasoning behind it. And I have literally never seen. I hate to say this because I hate to talk shit about my colleagues, but I have literal pertoses. Ketosis and the keto diet have some of the worst ratings of diets on the planet. And I said, but My cousin lost £50. I lost £60. Jim, what are you talking about? Yeah, how long did they keep it off for? No one sticks to a clearly never seen a good hypnosis program for weight loss other than mine. Maybe I'm being petty now, so never mind. I'm sure there's good ones out there. But again, even my hypnosis program, which is the top hypnosis program on the planet, is good for weight loss. Not by itself. Would not be good for living at your goal weight because you need to have a customized plan that's built for you. Ketosis diet folks. No one sticks to a keto diet long term. And you need to learn how to run your own mind too. So anyways, do you believe mariah's answer that one? User606 I find that I eat less on vacation because I'm focused on doing all the fun stuff and don't have food noise. Oh, that's great then. Yeah, everyone's different. You know. Again, you were asking before. You know, like, again, there's a lot of reason. Hypercatosis. That was a state of excessively high ketone levels in the blood. Goofy. None of you are going to keep the weight off on hyper ketosis. So goofy, goofy, goofy. And they Says it's all about how reasons why people struggle with their weight. But ultimately, again, it's always a mindset thing. But we all think differently, you know, that's why. That's another reason why dieting doesn't work. Because dieting is really a one size fits all plan, right? I mean, according to diet, to diets, everyone's supposed to be keto, everyone's supposed to be Weight Watchers, everyone's supposed to count their points, right? It's always like the same plan for everyone. That's never true. We're all such unique individual bad you want it. That's not true. That's not true. It's also about your strategy. You know, you could want it as much as possible, but if you have a shitty strategy, you won't stick with it. You'll overwhelm yourself and you'll run out of steam. So beings that we need to figure out who we are and what works for us again and program yourself, then you're creating a one size fits one plan. Because everyone's so different. One person goes on vacation and they want to eat everything. One person goes on vacation and they eat great. So again, it's not just about how bad you want it. That's an important piece. Don't get me wrong, motivation is very important. And how you think about it and how motivated you are, it absolutely matters. But I'm as motivated. Different paths for each person, but we learn from each of those. You know, Mustafa says, did you hear about the seafood diet? Oh, come on, Mustafa, come on. We've all heard about the seafood diet, haven't we? Is there anyone here who has not heard about the sea? Is anyone on the planet to be at my goal weight? But if all of a sudden, you know, you changed my lifestyle and eating on me, I would struggle to be at my goal weight. I need all the pieces there. Seafood diet, Bina says. Do you think high stress causes weight gain? Yes, absolutely. I think stress is one of the main contributors to weight gain in this culture. I think it's 20, 25 and at least in America, everyone is stressed, acutely stressed, chronically stressed. And I think getting that stress level down and just wanting it enough is bullshit. That is the just do it bullshit. No pain, no gain diet, bullshit fucking message you've been getting your whole life. And it's not true. It is not true. And being more relaxed is a foundational piece of living at your goal weight. I think it's absolutely foundation. I think without that you will never.
