This is the energy to implement into your life. Well, T, your success in eating better and most— and again, the secret here is that it is preventative approach. So instead of just thinking you have to use willpower to constantly fight against eat right, strategy. What can I do kind of here that's going to make it easier over there? And this 30 seconds does that. And what this 30 seconds is, is taking 30 seconds before you eat. And we can start first with dinner, then move on to after dinner, then move to lunch, and then breakfast. But the secret is to take 30 seconds to relax. So if you take 30 seconds before you're about to eat and you intentionally relax your shoulders Relax your chest. Relax your stomach. Relax your face. Now take some deeper breaths. Close your eyes if you want to. If that's all you did, move forward. If you did that most the time before you're about to eat, you are almost guaranteed to make better food choices and be able to manage your weight more effectively. You, you tend to eat different, you tend to notice which foods you want to eat and are going to support you and which ones aren't. You should be able to see more clearly which foods really nourish you and which foods you're just grabbing because they're there in the moment. And as you start to see things from this perspective, you naturally— things that bring you in. This is the secret, because what's happening is if you look at how you're typically eating, you are reading 100 miles an hour. You're frazzled, you're tired, you're worked up, you're stressed, and then you're going straight into eating. And what's happening is you're eating faster You're making worse choices. You're eating more because you're eating faster and it becomes difficult to manage your eating when you're fucked up. It was getting ahead of taking a moment. It doesn't have to be 30 seconds. It could be, huh? So enjoy. I'm about to eat. Let me enjoy myself. The most enjoyment. Take— calm down, relax. Work's over. Oh, come and calm down. Ground. The whole energy in your body changes. Um, how quickly you move slows down. Uh, slows down. You ground yourself and you see the more calm way. And tell me in your life when you've been more more relaxed? Haven't you eaten slower, eaten less ultimately? So this is to see a lot of kind of elegance in this strategy because it's not built— gonna rush into your reading. Operate differently than when you're— and so we want to acknowledge intentionally where— that is a way to use your, your willpower even, right? So we can use our— but we're using our few moments to relax and calm down and then let the eating go. We're gonna use willpower the entire time we're eating to make great choices. So it's a more strategic use of your willpower. And I think if you play around with it, you're gonna find out it's a much more effective use of your willpower as well.
