Program Yourself Thin Live 8-17-26

Jim Katsoulis argues that calmer, happier people naturally eat better and lose weight sustainably. Traditional diets that slash calories fast backfire by triggering stress and overeating. His method combines hypnosis sessions for relaxation with gentle calorie reduction, letting your body cooperate instead of resist.

Everyone, welcome to today's program, Yourself Thin Podcast. Today we're talking about feeling better makes you eat less. Typically, and this is really important because this can fundamentally change the way that you approach your eating, your weight loss, all the rest of it. Because I think a lot of times when people try and lose weight, they actually try and make themselves feel worse. And so if you start to realize the connection between when you genuinely feel better, when you're just feeling better, happier, calm, good, grounded, all of these things, when you realize when you feel those things, You tend to naturally make better food choices. Once we realize that, we can change the way that we approach weight loss from being something that stresses us out and overwhelms us and tires us and makes us bored and miserable, and we start looking for ways to make ourselves feel better right from the beginning. Because the more calm and grounded you are, the more you tend to make better food choices. So this is without question. A kinda slower approach to changing your weight because instead of just dialing in on the calories, we are going to change the way that you kinda experience life to some degree. So in Program Yourself, then we use a much more holistic, comprehensive approach to do this. We're not just changing calories. And again, not that there's anything wrong with changing calories, but typically diets are gonna change calories too fast, too strictly, and it makes you unhappy. It makes you feel worse. And so then you're working against yourself because just like you make better food choices when you're feeling better, what kind of food choices do you make when you're feeling stressed, tired, angry, upset? You tend to make worse food choices. So we need to zoom out from the diets and look at the bigger picture that the way you have been trying to lose weight fundamentally makes you eat more. Which is to say that the way that you fundamentally try to lose weight is a way that makes you want to eat more food. So how could that ever sustain long term? And it doesn't. So again, this way here, yes, we're still paying attention to calories, but we're going to reduce them in a more comfortable way intentionally because we're going to do everything in a way that supports us feeling better. Because when we feel better, we make better food choices automatically. And so, yes, we will work to dial down the calories where we can. But we'll always do it in a way that's relatively comfortable for us. We'll never push ourselves to do it in a way that really just wipes us out or stresses us out. We won't do that because we know if we do that, we may cut a couple calories this week, but we're going to go back to overeating next week because we can't maintain feeling bad and trying to monitor that behavior all the time. So instead, we fundamentally approach our weight. Through the lens of feeling better right from the beginning. This is why again in program yourself then we start really the core of the program is this creating this calm, peaceful, relaxed body and mind. So each and every hypnosis session you listen to is calming you down. It's grounding you. It's relaxing you because those things make you feel better. When you feel better, you eat less. We're also changing up behaviors, you know, dialing calories. And we're still doing that stuff too. But we're doing it on a foundation of calm and peace. And I think if you start to approach your weight with this same kind of mindset and idea, you're going to be shocked how much easier it is. Because now it's not this fight with yourself as much as it is this kind of guiding yourself in the direction you want to go in. So give this a shot. And if you have never experienced hypnosis, you never experienced exactly what I'm talking about, click the link in my bio or go to programyourselfthin.com. And go get the free hypnosis session that I made for you. It's completely free. Go check it out. It'll allow you to experience this and see exactly what I'm talking about—that when you calm down, when you relax, you tend to make better choices. So go check that out, and I hope everyone is having a great day. You can hear from my voice. I am getting a screwy voice here because I don't know what the hell is going on with me. We're getting better and better every day, but yes, dealing with—I don't even know what it is. I've not felt the worst, so I think thank goodness for that. But I've had a sore throat and sounding weird, but I think upward and upward, getting better each and every day. But I hope you're all having a nice day. And again, if you have not gotten that hypnosis session, go check it out. It's there waiting for you. What's up, Jane? How's it going? You got on right at the start. I apologize for my eyes. It's like I got hay fever, but I don't have hay fever. I just have This whole— well, actually, I should say down here is my lungs are acting a little weird too today, to be honest. I hope I don't start, start hacking and coughing on this here. But I wanted to pop in. I know I missed a couple days last week. Last week was— it's funny. Again, I went away a week before that. And, uh, you know, I talk a lot about re-entry weeks, you know, after a holiday or vacation, um, after maybe being sick or whatever. But, you know, when you're You get yourself like everything's kind of flowing and going great, and then you break that for any reason, good or bad, right? Go vacations, great. But even when you break what you're doing well, and you kind of break it up for a week or two weeks, you know, coming back, you're probably not going to start at that same exact level. Okay. And so I think that it's really important that we, when we get knocked off track, whether intentionally through a vacation or holidays, or unintentionally through a sickness or Life situations that when you come back, you're not expecting yourself to start up here. You give yourself some leeway to kind of start down here and work your way back up. And I am a living example of this because even last week, of course, I intended to be on you know all my podcasts, do everything you know. But I left space for that not to happen, and that is why I was not here. But I hope you all had a nice weekend. And how's it going, Lois? There's the Antoinette.
