Program Yourself Thin Live 8-28-26

Jim Katsoulis argues that calm reduces cortisol and rewires eating decisions, making weight loss automatic without traditional dieting. His Program Yourself Thin system uses self-hypnosis and a workbook to reprogram subconscious habits over eight weeks, now available as a $67/month membership called Thrive with weekly lessons and a chatbot.

Hey everyone, welcome to today's Program Yourself Thin podcast. Today we're talking about how to use calm to lose weight. Using calm to lose weight is one of the best ways you can go about it because being more relaxed and calm benefits you in so many important ways. The big obvious one is physically, right? It begins to reduce cortisol and signals to your body that it's okay to let go of the weight, and I don't need to be so hungry because everything's okay. And so when you give your body and mind that message consistently, when you start to feel more calm in your life, you start to naturally trigger your body to move you towards the weight loss goals that you have. But I think the even bigger piece, and that one's huge by the way, is that when you feel more calm, you think and feel different emotionally. When you are more calm, even if you're in a stressful situation, if you turn your attention inwards in a stressful situation, Excuse me, and you relax your body, your shoulders, your chest, your stomach, your face. You begin to take deeper breaths. You feel yourself kind of ground in the present moment. Even when things are crazy out here, you can create more calm in here. And as soon as you do that, as soon as you start to ground yourself physically, mentally, emotionally. What happens is you start to connect to resources that you're not connected to when you're stressed. You start to think more creatively, more proactively, more solution-orientedly. You start to see options to fix things rather than focusing on why the wrong things are there. And the more you start to feel calm, the more you begin to speak to yourself differently. Instead of yelling at yourself, instead of being stressful, instead of kind of being mean to yourself, You tend to be more gentle, more supportive, more encouraging to yourself. And this goes a long way when it comes to your weight, because so much of your weight is reflected by the food decisions, the eating decisions you make. And the eating decisions are decided by the state you're in when you make them. So when you're stressed out and you're freaking out and you're all tense, you tend to make one set of food choices. When you're relaxed and calm and grounded, You tend to make totally different food choices, and this happens naturally and automatically. What I'm trying to say is you already have this ability in you to some degree, and the only thing missing to activate it is a state of calm. So if you start to focus on making calm part of your reality, you're almost guaranteed to notice that your eating follows suit, and then eventually your weight. And it's one of the easiest, effective, and most enjoyable ways that you can take control over your weight is by creating a state of being more calm. Not being calm all the time, but being able to step into calm when you choose. And yes, starting to feel a bit more calm all the time because you start to step into it more times intensely. And the more calm you feel, the easier the whole process gets. So if you want to explore this whole idea, click the link in my bio or go to programyourselfthin.com and go get the free hypnosis session I made for you. But yes, if you have any questions, feel free to ask him anything about your weight. Here every Monday through Friday to talk about your weight and how you can influence it in a more effective way. than maybe what you're doing, certainly more effectively than dieting. Dieting does not work. It's not a you problem. It's a diet problem. Dieting doesn't work for anyone long term, which is why there's no number one diet that exists. There is only diets that people continually try that ultimately don't really do the job. So yes, there are better ways to approach your weight than dieting. And I know we hit the week before The week before Memorial Day. You know, I know a lot of people getting ready to start their diets the, the Monday after Memorial Day, but that's fine, right? Any, any strategy is welcome here. But if that is you, I would suggest that you don't do that and that you start to think about your weight now, but you do it a different way. So instead of starting a diet on Monday, you start focusing in on being more calm and relaxed. Start to calm yourself down. Start to relax. Start to create this feeling inside of you that is built around calm, peaceful relaxation. Now I know a lot of people roll their eyes when I say that. A lot of people roll their eyes. Oh, calm, relax. Oh, you did you see my life lately? You see my life? I get it. I get it. Okay. But even the most busiest person, even the person with the least amount of time. can still relax more. And I think that's a key thing to understand because I think a lot of times people think of relaxation as, you know, going off to a retreat or starting to meditate for an hour a day, something overwhelming. And so a lot of people, unfortunately, um, that are stressed and overwhelmed, when they think about relaxing, it just becomes one more thing that's going to stress them out. And, uh, that's not what we want it to be. Relaxation should be enjoyable and fun. And so for a lot of people that are overcapacity, relaxation can look like a nap, going to bed a little bit earlier, taking an extra hot shower, you know, more often, you know, simple little things, going for a short walk. It doesn't have to be a lot and everyone's different. But, you know, the first step is recognizing what relaxes you, right? Well, what relaxes you? Everyone's different. But for you personally, What's something you can do in 5 or 10 minutes and feel more relaxed and calm? Play your musical instrument, go read a book, go play some cards, go juggle, go play some basketball, go, go to a driving range. It doesn't matter. There's always things we can do that are easy, affordable, and simple, uh, that'll calm us down and relax us. And again, we're living this culture where we're constantly ramped up and worked up. Um, but if you make it a focus to calm down and relax, it's not that hard, to be honest. It's hard in the sense that like you want to relax and you get mad that you can't just do it now, but you have to think of relaxation almost as a skill, uh, that you develop. And if you stay focused on— if you stay focused on the skill of relaxation, you're gonna believe it. You'll get better at it, and it's not that hard. But you can't get discouraged just because the first time you try to relax it doesn't work the way you want it to. You know, it would just be like anything else. I mean, go over— you ever play guitar? You go over to the guitar and pick it up. Well, what do you know? You can't do anything with it. You know, so, um, yeah, but that's why you keep practicing. And being more relaxed is way more important than playing guitar. So again, this isn't something that really should even be a negotiable in your mind. Um, relaxing more should be a non-negotiable. That becomes the centerpiece, really. Forget it, you don't want to lose weight, you know. I mean, really, ultimately, whatever you're doing in your life that matters to you, being more relaxed and calm is going to help you with those things. I mean, it's without question, relaxing, calming down helps you to be a better version of yourself. It helps you to connect to more of your resources, be more of the person who you want to be. And again, that starts to build on itself day after day. You know, it's both. I'm right. I mean, both things build on themselves day after day, whether you're building on a foundation of stress or whether you're building on a foundation of calm relaxation. They're both foundations, and every day you live on them, and every day they create more of what they are. So again, you know, for a lot of people, they have to make it a focus. You got to make a relaxation a focus. Um, for a little while before it starts to take hold and you can start to utilize it, you know. But once you have it there as a tool that you can utilize, being able to relax and calm down in situations at will is really valuable. And I want to point something out too about that, because I think a lot of people miss this, is that even when you get good at relaxation, it's not about, I'll never be stressed again, I'll never be tense again. It's about, okay, now I have this ability that when things get tense or stressed, I can bring the temperature down. And so, you know, you might have some situation in life that cranks the stress up to a 9. The, the thing isn't that we're not gonna get stressed. The thing is that we can get stressed up to a 9, then we can bring it back down to a 4 or 5 in a stressful situation. And then in a neutral situation, might be able to relax down to a 1, 2. Okay, but so it's a relative concept. And I think that's really important because I think sometimes people approach relaxation or calm and then something will trigger off in their life, they'll get stressed, they'll say, oh, it's not even working. Well, it's working. It's just, again, just because you practice relaxation and calm doesn't mean you're never going to get stressed again. It means that when you get stressed, you'll be aware of it more likely, and you'll have a tool or an ability to kind of bring it down a bit. So, and that kind of goes along and program yourself then Um, one of the key mindset distinctions between Program Yourself Thin and dieters is that dieters always think in this all-or-nothing mindset, and they do it with everything, right? So again, even with the calm and the relaxation, I'm either this calm, relaxed person, or, uh, I am a person who is totally stressed out, you know? And we forget all the middle ground of options that you have, okay? So you can be a stressed-out person who's able to calm down when they focus on it. That's okay. You know, it's a nice step in the— during the path, you know. Uh, so yeah, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Let's see, Jane's here. Jane says, I'm going to relax and calm down today and have fun by going to a new winery. The problem is that I've decided, um, not to drink anymore since starting Ozempic. Oh brother. Uh, yeah, right. I mean, again, there's choices in life, right? And this is what I mean. It's— there are no easy paths in life. I, I just I think the sooner you accept there's no easy paths, the better. Um, Ozempic is an easier path in some ways, and it's just as harder and harder in other ways. So, um, and you could drink on Ozempic, right? But yeah, I mean, when you feel all the shit that's going on from the Ozempic, um, you're probably less inclined to throw alcohol into the mix. But, uh, you know, listen, at the end of the day, Ozempic or not, surgery or not, diet or not, Um, you're gonna show up each day and kind of live your life. And so living life is a challenge, right? So there's no way around it. There's no easy path of life. And so Program Yourself Then really says— again, I always say this every day, but, but Program Yourself Then takes the weight loss, wraps it in personal development. So Program Yourself Then technically is a personal development program. And the message embedded in that idea is that the weight's not enough to be happy. To be confident, to feel successful in life. I hate to tell you, it's just not enough. I think you need to become the person you want to be. And Program Yourself Thin is an inside-out approach to managing your weight. And so embedded in that idea is the idea that I'm going to change my weight, I want to lose weight, but in order to do it, I'm going to become a better version of myself. I'm going to work on developing my skill. This comes straight out of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. And really the idea that really before like the 1920s, I suppose, uh, personal development and change work was really a focus on becoming a better version of yourself, changing your skill sets, your ability, your thought patterns. And it became, it became an industry to just offer advice as if the advice is the main thing between you and the thing you want to achieve. Now dieting takes that to the extreme because dieting is just saying, okay, you, you, the person who struggled with your reading your whole life, you know what you've been missing is a really strict plan to follow. Yeah, the only thing that's been the problem is you haven't followed a strict enough plan. So here's your strict plan: you can no longer eat carbs. Oh, from now on you can't eat for 16 hours a day. Here you go, from now on track every single calorie you eat. Holy shit, that's a lot to do. That's a that's a heavy lift. Okay, and so um I promise you that that the the main issue for you and your weight is not that you don't know what to do; it's that you don't know how to get yourself to do it consistently. And the diets never teach you that. So it's very important. And so and then back to even Ozempic and and using the GLP ones. Yes, it's a tool. It's a tool that comes with other— everything's good and bad. It helps reduce food noise. Okay, let's say that's good. But some of the bad stuff, you don't really like food that much anymore. Oh, I don't give a shit. I just want to lose weight. Yeah, right now. But what about when you get to your goal weight? What about when the weight loss stops in 16 months and you just still don't really care that much about food? What are you looking forward to now? I mean, again, I'm not saying you shouldn't do it because of that, but I'm saying it's something you should consider. The GLP-1 is going to bring you to a point ultimately where you're still going to have to make a decision of if I want to stay on this or if I'm going to walk another path. There's always decisions to be made. So how do we make those decisions more effectively? That's the key. Ozempic ain't going to teach you that. You know, diets don't teach you that. Program Yourself certainly attempts to teach you that, right? That's why, again, in this program, we really follow the goal weight pyramid. Which is— oh, let me see here— which is this: mindset, lifestyle, eating, right? So we break it down and we seek to give you the skill sets that allow you to live at your thin, healthy, happy weight. And of course, we break down mindset, lifestyle, and eating to subcategories so we can really fill it out and figure out what works for you. You've never done that. Dieting tells you what to do as if you're the same as every other person on the planet, right? Keto plan expects everyone on the planet should be keto if they want to lose weight. Crazy, right? We're all our own unique people with our own preferences, likes, and dislikes. So we have to figure out what's going to work for us, and we need to do it in a comprehensive, holistic way. Ultimately, that's what I think, you know. What's up, Pat? Pat says enjoy the landscaping at the winery and talk to the owners about their process. They probably have mock cocktails that are super popular now. Pat, thanks for answering Jane because I didn't. I went off on a tangent there. But yes, that, that's, that's great advice, Pat. I think that's perfect. Nice job, Pat. I can tell you're, you're really internalizing a lot of the program, right? That's beautiful. Yeah, they probably will have mocktails there, and thank God, right? Again, as, um, as things progress, I think it's becoming— I don't want to say easier much, but, but, but easier, right? Because if you go to a winery, I can almost guarantee that mocktails are non-alcoholic options. And then, you know, again, it makes it easier than going there and just not trying to do anything. Is it hands-free? You know, nothing in your hands. But so that's a great, great suggestion, Pat. Wendy says, I take me days about once a month or so. It's a day that my family knows that unless it's an emergency involving blood, don't bother me. My kids are adults. It's nice to just chill out and not have any deadlines or places that I have to be. That's a great idea too, Wendy. I like that. Boy, I need a me day once a month. I kind of have like— I've kind of— my whole life feels like a me day in a lot of ways, but to have like an official day where it's like nothing's expected of me at all, that's pretty cool. I like that idea. That's a good one, right? And again, that goes towards— this is what I mean, but, but it's, it's ritualistic. I like that idea, right? Because once a month or so, you know, start to ritualize that. You take a whole day and then we want to small and shrink the rituals as well, right? So that's a big ritual, right? Taking a day a month, maybe a bigger one might be taking, you know, 4 days a year. But then we also want to go smaller and say, well, you know, maybe I'll meditate for 2 minutes a day. I'll, you know, do some relaxation work, you know, for 3 minutes in the evening. We also want to ritualize it that way as well. Right? We wanna work on it multiple ways. But when you make relaxation and calm a focus for you— see, people are so obsessed with the weight piece of it that they overfocus on the calories and the— the working out and the nutrition and all that stuff. And I think they overlook what I believe is the most important piece, 'cause I think foundationally, the most important piece to your weight loss is whether you're stressed out all the time or whether you're more calm and relaxed. And the Those are very vague descriptions, but it's up to you to kind of figure that out. But the more you can kind of nudge yourself back over to calm, relaxed, and develop that within yourself— and again, you got to think of it as like a skill or a muscle that you're developing— but as you put that focus and energy into building up your calm relaxation muscle, it affects everything. And I would say in a better way, for sure. So, um, yeah, that's a great strategy. I love that. Yeah. But yeah, if anyone's got any weight loss questions, feel free to ask them. Um, any weight loss questions are welcome. I've worked— I've done this work for over 20 years, and, uh, I've worked with pretty much every diet that exists, I would say. And at the end of the day, the diets are all the same anyways, because, uh, even if the diets seem dramatically different on the surface, uh, at the end of the day, every diet's the same because It's basically someone giving you a plan and you trying to follow that plan perfectly on day one. And the goal is to see how long can you keep it up for? How long can you follow this plan perfectly is really the question, you know, under the surface. And so it becomes kind of an endurance test. So most dieters, I notice, regardless of what their specific philosophy is, always end up with the same core problem that they know what to do. Supposedly, but they don't know how to get themselves to do it. And that is really where I've focused my career on is how do you get people to do the things that they say they want to do? Right? How do you get your mind to support the goals that you hold for yourself, that you hold out for yourself? And again, diets never focus on this, so you have no answers. And I mean, geez, what a blind spot, right? At most, you might know, okay, my mindset's not quite right. I need to work on my mindset. But what does that mean, you know, and how do you do it? And then you're going to find most likely there's kind of a blank space there that you don't really know how to change your mindset. You don't really know how to influence your thinking. Ultimately, you don't know how to influence your behaviors or your habits. And so you're operating at a real deficit here if you don't know how to do this. If you don't know how to influence your mind, if you don't influence your habits and your lifestyle, if you don't know how to genuinely influence your reading in a way that really works for you, How are you ever going to live at your goal weight, right? I mean, when you think about it that way, I mean, yeah, no. And yet I think a lot of dieters just not thinking about that part, right? The most important part most dieters just kind of overlooking because you've never been trained to look at it. You know, you keep thinking, well, I got the plan. The problem is I just need to get myself to do it. I just gotta get myself to do it. But metaphorically, getting yourself to follow the diet is like Trying to get yourself to sprint through a marathon, right? You can be convinced of it, right? Because yeah, if you sprint the whole marathon, you're gonna win. Yep. Yeah, if you run that, if you sprint that whole marathon the whole time, you're gonna win. That part's not up for debate. The part that's up for debate is, can you get yourself to sprint the entire marathon? Methinks no. Methinks your body's gonna quit on you. You can't do it. Shit, never mind sprinting the marathon, why don't you fly? Fly, fly the marathon. Just swoop over the trees. And where do we, where do we draw the line? So that's not possible. I'm not gonna— I can't fly over the trees, Jim. I can't fly the marathon. Okay, well, you can't sprint it either, right? No. Well, guess what? You can't sprint in your diet. We can die forever. You count calories for the rest of your life, measure food for the rest of your life, not eat carbs for the rest of your life. You're gonna die. Uh, so funny. So again, the point I'm making is this, right? This is what I'm here for every day, is that it's not, um, it's not that there's something wrong with you, and your success doesn't really depend on the moment that you all of a sudden are tapping into this infinite well of willpower. It really comes down to your programming. What do you do naturally? What thoughts do you think regularly, automatically? What emotions and feelings do you experience regularly, automatically? And what eating behaviors do you have that run automatically, regularly? That's what's controlling your weight. The plan is not part of that, and it's never going to be. You know, again, we can use the plan to reference to install that new programming of how to think, live, and eat. But ultimately, it's what you do on autopilot naturally. It's your subconscious programming that's really controlling your weight more than anything else. And no diet really addresses that, which is why there's no diet that's proven to be effective long term. Carolyn says, how much does goal setting play into the process? Do you keep setting new ones as you go? Yeah, absolutely. I think goal setting is an enormous piece of the puzzle. Um, and program yourself. Then we literally start with it. Now we call it motivation because there's a difference between goal setting and motivation. Goal setting, you can just set goals for yourself, but they may not necessarily motivate you. I know that seems hard to believe, but I'll hit you with a little bit of truth here, that if you're struggling with your weight, I can almost guarantee you're not really motivated. Now I know you want to lose weight more than anything in the world, But that doesn't mean you're motivated, does it? Let's be honest. On a scale of 1 to 10, how motivated are you all to lose weight? Scale of 1 to 10, how motivated are you to lose weight? Give me a number. 10 is the most. What do you think you are? Right. How motivated do you think you are to lose weight? Because I— either you're going to give me a low number or you're going to give me a high number that's not accurate. Because if you were motivated to a 10, a 9, 10, wouldn't you be doing more to make it happen? Let me shift it, shift it, you know, in an ideal way. What if I said I'll give you a million bucks this month if you lose some weight? If you lose weight this month, I got a million dollars waiting for you. Would you be more motivated then than you were originally? Yeah, of course. And all that thought experiment does is it reveals that you're not as motivated as you could be. So again, wanting something and being motivated are 2 separate things. You can't confuse them or you're going to be stuck. That's a big part of what you're doing now is that you want to lose weight as much as possible, but you're not motivated. And as long as that's the case, you're probably going to stay stuck. You're not going to get the results you want. So yes, in Program Yourself, then the first thing we start is with motivation. And, um, that is goal setting, but we also test it. So we're not just going to set goals. We're going to make sure that this is motivating. And we kind of go through a certain process to do it. And yes, As we move forward and achieve goals, we set new ones. But a big fundamental difference with the Program Yourself Thin approach compared to dieting is that Program Yourself Thin is a journey-based motivator, and dieting is a destination-based motivator. Okay, so dieting, the motivation is all about getting to your goal weight. Program Yourself Thin, the motivation is all about living at your goal weight for the rest of your life on near autopilot. And so those are 2 totally different goals, and they are experienced totally different because dieting, the idea is you're gonna get there. Well, and then what? Now most people make the mistake of thinking, well, I'll get to my goal weight and then I'll be so happy, my life will be so amazing. When I'm at my goal weight, I'll just stay there. They say, well, you're losing weight now, how do you plan to maintain it? I'll figure out that— I'll figure that out when I get there. But what they're really saying is, once I get to my goal weight, holy shit, everything's gonna be so amazing, I'll never put the weight back on. To which I say, you've already been at your goal weight. So what happened the first time you got to your goal weight and put the weight on? You know, it's an illusion. We live in these illusions weight-wise because we've been conditioned to live in illusions. The diet industry is not your friend. The diet industry has conditioned you to be overweight. But again, this idea that you're going to get to your goal weight and then magically that's— that getting to your goal weight is going to keep you there is— that's what you think subconsciously. But it's 100% not true. Big problem if that's what you're believing subconsciously. I just gotta get to my goal weight and then, then I'll figure it out. No, you won't. So in Program Yourself Thin, we start day 1— again, back to the Goal Weight Pyramid— you'll notice another section here is called maintenance. We start day 1 focused on maintenance. On day 1, you're focusing on how to live at your goal weight, which is another way to say maintenance. How do I— how do I live at my goal weight? The process of maintenance is living at your goal weight. I hope that makes sense. So in Program Yourself Thin, we're starting on that goal right from the beginning. The entire Program Yourself Thin program, it's all built around living at your goal weight, having the skills, the skills to think, live, and eat like a thin, healthy, happy person at your goal weight on near autopilot. So it's not just enough knowing what to do. It's about installing it so that it runs automatically. That's the key piece. And it's built to be running forever so that once you get to your goal weight, cool, we celebrate that for sure. But then we keep looking forward to the next improvement. Maybe I'll drink more water. The next improvement, maybe I stretch a little more. The next improvement, maybe I'll eat a little cleaner and have more energy. The next improvement, maybe I'll meditate a little bit more and quiet my mind down some, some more. You know what I mean? It just goes on and on forever. I've been doing this for over 30 years. I dropped 50 pounds over 30 years ago. I'm as motivated and fired up and excited about this whole process as when I was losing weight. That's the mark of knowing you're on the right path, because my motivation is not tied to how much weight I'm losing. I'm motivated by how good I feel each and every day and how excited I am about the future feeling even better. That's what's driving me. And again, that's that self-improvement layer that we put over the weight loss that really makes it all work. Because you dieters, the main thing you're struggling with right now is motivation. You can't get yourself to start. You think about it 24 hours a day, but you can't get yourself to do it. You know, there's a reason for that. Um, Madonna says, I feel it's so easy to put on the weight but so very hard to lose the weight. Um, yeah, I mean, everyone feels like that, but let's reframe that a little bit, okay? Because another way to say what you're saying is that I feel it's so easy to live overweight and it's so hard to live at a lower weight, is what you're really saying. Okay, because I feel it's so easy to put on the weight. What does that mean? Well, you're probably saying, I feel like it's so easy to put the weight on to where I'm at. Unless you're one of those people who every month is putting 5, 10 pounds on and you're now, you know, into the, you know, 300, 400, 500-pound range. Then that's a different story. Okay, but if what you're really saying is that I find it's so easy to put the weight on and be overweight at this level now, this is where most of you find yourself because your subconscious mind sets your weight kind of like a thermostat. Have you noticed that your weight seems to have kind of an equilibrium? Have you noticed that most people— I mean, there's always outliers, but most people, their weight kind of hovers around a certain number. And what you would find, and this may sound strange, But it's it's it's not it is easier to put the weight on, okay for for for various reasons. But typically for most people, they hover around a similar weight. And ironically, if you try to increase the weight, you find that that can be hard because what we're really talking about is what your programming is. Okay, this is really important. So what your weight is, in my opinion, is the sum of a lot of your programming, specifically your thinking programming, your lifestyle programming, and your eating programming. And you have been programmed through life to do all the things that keep your weight at a certain level automatically. So that if you look at a typical week, because you know it's estimated humans eat about the same amount of volume of food every day, so there's this internal kind of measurement system kind of tracking a lot of that. And so you're gonna find that it's easy to maintain the status quo. And changing the status quo is hard. Yeah, exactly. This is why you can lose some weight for a little while but not stay there. So let me put it a different way. Right now, I say that your weight is a reflection of your average calorie consumption, but I say your average calorie consumption is a reflection of your subconscious programming. Because if you look at how you behave day to day to day, week to week to week, it's very similar. Monday looks kind of similar. Again, a typical week Monday looks like last Monday. Tuesday looks like last Tuesday. The eating patterns— what I eat for lunch or don't eat for lunch, what I eat for breakfast— all there's patterns there. Now you may say, no, no, it's always different for me. I bet it's not, you know. So it's like we have patterns of what we do. Humans run on patterns. Humans don't wake up every day and just plot a brand new course. Everything's new, all new foods, all different amounts, all different places. That's not how you eat. That's not how you live. You live in patterns. And those patterns repeat and run. That's the problem. You snack at night. You started 20 years ago eating a little bit of ice cream at night, and now 20 years later you do it on autopilot. And you say, okay, I can diet for a little while and fixate on it and get my weight down. It's really hard. Yeah, because to snack at night is automatic. To not snack at night takes more cognitive load. Dieting is basically saying, right, so you all have an— if you're overweight right now and you've been overweight for a year or 2 at least, You have an overweight mindset, meaning that the way that your brain just automatically thinks, what you automatically do that's easy for you, that you do out of routine, keeps you overweight. And so a diet is not a new mindset. A diet is an anti-mindset. You have an overweight mindset right now. The way you habitually think, live, and eat keeps you overweight, and you do it on autopilot. And so when you start a diet, it's a no mindset, it's an anti-mindset. So he's, oh, let's have the ice cream in it. No. Let's do this. No, no, no, no, no. And you know yourself down to your goal weight, let's say. But the same problem exists that you started with, is that you can't keep knowing yourself because now you, you don't want to keep losing weight, but you can't go back to just having an overweight mindset because the weight goes back up if you keep doing what you're doing. And so dieting and Ozempic are very similar in the sense that they only work when you're doing them. Program Yourself Thin is built to do something that runs automatically. It's more akin to like brushing your teeth. You didn't come out of the womb brushing your teeth. Your parents got you to brush your teeth at certain times over and over and over and over and over again. And what happened? It turned into a program that now you do automatically. You probably the same brushing tooth routine that you had when you were 5. It's not a mystery. You installed it and now you just do it automatically. Well, all of your eating behaviors are the exact same thing. You were programmed to eat a certain way. And you've developed that, and now you do it automatically. And so now it feels like, oh, it's so easy for me to live overweight. It just feels natural and automatic. Yeah, because that's your programming. And so the only way you've learned to change your programming is to fight against it. That's what a dieting diet doesn't change your programming. GLP ones don't change your program; they just mask it. And so until you change your programming, feeling like living at your goal weight is always going to feel like extra work. It's going to feel hard. It's easier for me. Well, I want to say it's easier. It's as easy for me virtually. Now, it's a little extra work. I want to be clear. I don't make them sell you bullshit. Um, it's obviously, it's a focus of mine to work on my weight, but my weight is— I live at my goal weight now as much as I lived overweight, because when it's overweight, it's just the normal routines that just run automatically. And with new programming, it's the same. It's routines that run automatically, just different ones. So for example, you know, before, um, my breakfast would be sugar cereal with sugar on it, um, you know, white bread with, uh, Jif sugar peanut butter on it, right? Let's just— that's my breakfast typically, and that's what I'd normally eat. You know, now it's natural, you know, peanut butter with no sugar, um, Ezekiel toast with no flour, an apple with natural peanut butter, right? So it's the same behavior pattern of eating breakfast. But I've transformed what the programming is of what I'm eating. That makes a huge difference. And you just, you know, it's that over and over again. But what happens is I just wake up and do my breakfast now. I'm not thinking about it. I'm not following a meal plan. I'm not tracking my fucking calories. I'm not avoiding macronutrients. I'm not trying to make drastic changes to what I'm doing for a little while. I've always programmed in behaviors that are going to run long term. I expect to have that breakfast for the rest of my life. If I get bored of it, I'll come up with another alternative that's similar in calories and nutrients. And I'll have that as an option, you know. And if you approach it this way, if you approach your weight in terms of like programming yourself so that you do the things that keep you at your goal weight naturally and automatically, you start to invest in yourself. You start to develop skills. That's the big difference. You all are trying to change your weight by— you're trying to hit grand slams, right? So, okay, tomorrow's Monday and that's it. I'm gonna be a completely different version of myself starting tomorrow. I'm gonna change everything. And again, this is that all-or-nothing mindset that dieters have. And so you say, I'm going to change everything. I'm going to be perfect. I'm going to be all. And you do that for a little while. Usually it's a couple days, a couple weeks, and then you make a mistake. Yeah, back to doing nothing though. That's the problem. How many times you've done everything perfect and then done nothing? Everything perfect and then done nothing? That's how you stand in place. That's how you make no progress. So in program yourself, then we can take two steps forward or one step forward. Two step forward, one step forward. Ten steps forward, one step forward. We're always making a step forward though. We've got a range of options, so we're always working on something. And yeah, that's what makes the difference. Jane says we think that losing the weight will make us happier and be more attractive, so therefore more popular. But I believe that we put too much focus on our looks and not enough on our health. Agreed, agreed, Jane. I agree with that so much. And again, we've been conditioned to think that way. There's billions and kabillions and probably trillions of dollars we've been— we have probably consumed trillions of dollars of advertising and marketing in our lives at this point. And all of it is aiming at exactly that, that, you know, how you look, your weight is the main definition of your quality of life. And it's not true. It's just not true. It's a factor. I'm not gonna say it doesn't matter at all, but yes, the health is the key thing. And for most people, unfortunately, the health aspect of the weight is usually a secondary factor that sounds good. We should care about our health, but we don't really care. It's not really motivating. So I agree, Jane. I totally agree with that. And again, we can have both. You know, I definitely agree that, that I think being at our goal weight will absolutely make you healthier if you're doing it in a way that really resonates with you. I definitely think that being at your goal weight's the shit, folks. It's the best. I know you, I know you kind of think you know these. Oh no, shit, Jim. No, hold on, because I'm not going to say the reasons you think. Yeah, do I like, like looking a certain way in pictures, being able to wear a size clothes and looking a certain way? Yeah, sure. Okay, definitely. But the bigger piece to it is that I don't, I don't snore at night when I'm at my goal weight. I don't. I sleep better. I'm not as hot when I'm sleeping. Those are just the first 3 I'm thinking of. Um, I feel lighter. My knees feel better. I feel easier to move. I have more mobility, more flexibility. Um, it's easier for me to do things. I feel more active. My head feels clearer when my eating's cleaner. Um, I have more energy. My emotions are more balanced. I feel more successful because I've mastered this area of my life, and I've proven that to myself, and I live it every day. And that's very inspiring to me and very motivating to achieve other things in my life. I'm proud of what I've done. Now I could keep going, but, but what I'm trying to say is that yes, I like the way I look and all that, all the physical things of that part, great. But there's got to be more. That's the missing piece for most dieters, is that they're just fixated on how they're going to look better, and they think that's enough, but it's not. And what's the test for if it's enough or not? Well, are you getting results? Are you actively moving towards your goal weight? Are you stuck? If you're stuck, I can almost guarantee you you're not motivated, and you're not motivated because you're just thinking about how you're going to look better, and you don't really give a shit how you're going to look better. You may not even want to look better to that, even to that point. It can go that far. I can't tell you the number of women I've worked with that when we really get down into it, they don't want to lose the weight because if I lose the weight, then I am going to be more, um, in danger. I'm more at risk from attack. I won't be as secure. And so you get down to the deeper parts and you find that people, some people don't even want to lose the weight because they don't want to feel unsafe. So if you feel that way deep down, do you really think you're going to lose weight? Oh, I want to look better up here, and then deep down, if I lose weight, I'm going to get assaulted. Which one do you think is going to win? So again, this idea that just because you think about losing weight 24 hours a day you're motivated is not true. And it's one of the biggest mistakes I see dieters making, is they're just so convinced, well, all I do is think, all I do is listen to podcasts, all I do is think about diets, I I've tried a million times. I tried it. Yeah, okay. Well, calm down. Calm down. Let's talk about why you want to lose weight and what you're aiming at. What's your goal? What are you looking to achieve? And it is revealed real quick, real quick. And again, I work with very intelligent, smart, successful people. It costs a lot of money to work with me. So these are not these are not people that that can't figure things out. It's that we've never been taught to do it. The diet industry is a big screwball industry designed to screw you up. The diet industry is owned by the food processing. Industry. So to put it in stark terms, if you know McDonald's and Coca-Cola came out with a diet, would you would you really believe it? Would you follow it? Would you believe them? I hope not. But that's basically what's going on. And so yeah, these diets have led us all astray, and we're taught to think in ways that are absolutely counterproductive and cause us to fail. I'm a big believer in that. What's up, Vicky? How's it going? Yeah, Carolyn says, yeah, habits, good and bad. Yes, patterns. Yeah, it's all about the habits you have and the patterns you have. Um, that's what your weight is. It's a— your weight is the best reflection of your behavior, your habitual behavior. It doesn't lie. It's showing you the unvarnished truth. Okay, so, um, that's what you want to focus on. Uh, Vicky says, is Thrive changing for me? No, Vicky, no, no. Um, if you're in Thrive currently and been in Thrive Nothing changes. Everything's going to be the same. I mean, it's going to get better. I'm really excited about that. I got some real cool stuff coming. I cannot wait. But yes, for those of you that don't know, Program Yourself Thin is now a membership. Okay, so this is big news for people that haven't joined yet. I think this is bigger news for them. If you've already gotten the program, you've got lifetime access to it. So nothing changes in that sense. The live Tuesday Q&As and the Gym AI, that's one thing that has shifted over to the membership. Um, that was never meant to be forever, just be clear. That was always meant to be an 8-week, um, thing that I just kind of allowed you to kind of access with further. But, um, they— yeah, they basically just cost money, you know. So it's unsustainable for me to allow people to have lifetime access to Gym AI. It's just, you know, it's exponential cost for me. So, so that part is part of the member— the members area now. Um, but if you're not part of the program, the big difference with the membership now is that it's a much lower barrier entry to get started with the program. Um, you can start, you know, for $67, you can get started with the complete program, um, use it and, uh, move, move forward with it. And, uh, yeah, it's one of the biggest shifts I've made. So we're kind of experimenting with that, see how that goes. Um, but I'm really excited about this approach. And so how will it affect Thrive? Um, Thrive will remain the same and it'll just keep getting better. Uh, so yeah, the Monday classes will stay, the weekly lessons, the sessions. Um, the next thing I will be adding there, I'll be working on probably the next couple weeks, is I'm putting together a Walk Yourself Thin, uh, hypnosis program, and that'll be in the, the members area as well. So you'll have access to that. But, um, yeah, super excited because the coolest part of the members area for me is that I always have ideas for other kind of little mini programs to give you all. And, um, this allows me to put them all into the members area so you have access to everything, you know. And that's the best part of this program now, you just get access to The whole thing now. Uh, what's up, Yasmin? How's it going? Um, yep, yep. Yasmin says, my biggest obstacle is my full-time shift work. Yeah, and that's, that's legit. That's legit. Shift work is a challenge, you know, no doubt about it. Um, I think for shift work, you know, I think the best thing you can do is really— if I was doing shift work, then what I'm diving into is sleep. I want to get really good at sleeping. And what I mean by that, primarily, yes, falling asleep and staying asleep during my bedtime, but also introducing nap time. I think if you're a shift worker, having the ability to take a 12-minute nap if you're feeling tired for whatever reason is really crucial. And I think it becomes very, very valuable. Um, but that's a challenge. Yeah, you know, but everyone's got challenges. So it's about figuring out, um, you know, how to deal with the challenges, uh, whenever we want. You know, um, yep. Yasmin says $67 membership monthly, I can cancel? Yes, you can cancel it. There's no— this is the best deal in, in weight loss as well, so it's really exciting. Um, yeah, you get so much with this program. I don't, I don't want to, you know, go over everything here, but, um, the first thing, main thing you get is that you get, um, you, you— the hypnosis session. So there's 3 main parts to it. The main part is No, I don't want to say main part. They're all so important. I'm gonna stop saying that. But the first thing that's really valuable is the Goal Weight Hypnosis System. This is the best hypnosis program on the planet. There's nothing like this, okay? It's an 8-week immersion program where every morning you get a 5-minute hypnosis session, each one with a different weight loss mantra. And then each week you get a core weight loss mantra in a 10-minute session that you listen to at night, and that one's designed to be listened to repeatedly. And so you kind of bookend your day with hypnosis sessions, and, um, there's nothing like that. I mean, even the most famous hypnotists out there— McKenna, Peers— their weight loss programs are just, you know, some recorded hypnosis sessions. So this is a real specific, thought-out hypnosis cocoon, is kind of how I think of it. Um, the next thing you learn is the program yourself in technique, and this is how to use self-hypnosis, how to program your own mind I show you how to do it in a 60-second technique you use at night, um, with the redo rehearsal technique is what we— the deeper way to explain it. And that reprograms your mind. That's really, really important and powerful. And then the final piece is the Goal Weight Blueprint, which is this here 144-page workbook for you to design the perfect goal weight blueprint for you. So again, it's a personalized plan for you to live at your goal weight, and it's built around this goal weight pyramid of mindset, lifestyle, and eating. Yeah. We break it down into subcategories. So you fill all that out and then you live by it. So there's knowing what to do, which is the blueprint. There's being able to do it, which is getting yourself to do it, which is the hypnosis and the program yourself in technique. And all of those things, in my opinion, create the most comprehensive, holistic approach possible. Um, this program has sold for years for $500. Uh, so yeah, this is again something I did so more people can get into it and see what's possible. And yeah, there's no, there's no, um, commitments or anything like that. It's month to month. You do, do what you want, you know. You don't like the program, I don't want you, you know, paying for it. So it's a, it's a good way to kind of embrace it and start using it. You get the whole thing, you know. Um, Jane says, what's the difference between your new program and Thrive? Um, nothing, I would say. Thrive is really kind of— so, so what it's been is Program Yourself, then is the 8-week program, and then Thrive has been the rest of it. And so Thrive is just an ongoing membership program. And so it's the same thing now. So people that are new to the program will go through the first 8 weeks, and then they go into the, the full program, um, which we have called Thrive. And, um, Thrive includes every week, every Sunday, you get a short, you know, under 10-minute lesson on that focus that week. Every week there's a hypnosis session that reinforces that main focus and lesson. Um, and you get a sleepnosis version of it. You get 2 versions of it. Uh, Monday we have a mastery class where I'll just dive into something deep. You'll get the class notes of it. The replays are up immediately. Tuesday we got the live calls. You get Jim AI. Um, there's a monthly challenge every month that we focus on, kind of a bigger level thing, usually about a lifestyle habit, is usually what we focus on. Um, there's a success planner every month that kind of takes you every day if you're a tracker type of person, that, that's there for you. Uh, so yeah, there's a lot of cool stuff and there's a lot more cool stuff coming. Like I said, Um, Walk Yourself Thin is the next program I'll be putting in there. And so I'm so excited about that because I have a lot of like little programs I wanted to put in. Walk Yourself Thin is one of them. I wanted to do a real simple, um, kind of chair yoga program. Um, uh, kind of a— I want to call it working out, but I don't like using that word even. It's an activity program. You know, I got, I got ideas for a couple things I wanted to do, plus a bunch of new hypnosis sessions that'll be going in there. So yeah, that, that's where— that's why I changed this whole model. Uh, because at the end of the day, truthfully, 8 weeks isn't enough. And I don't— that's why I was actually— this was— I don't think I've ever even told this yet, but one of the big things— I had a conversation and boy, it really opened my eyes to something. And what it was was this, that my zone of genius personally and professionally is consistency. I have been doing Program Yourself then for over 20 years, okay? And I've done so many versions of it. I've built it up so many ways and things. I'm always working on it, improving it, evolving it. And I'm here. I've been doing this podcast for 3, 4 years now. I'm here every single Monday through Friday at noon to talk to you all. I talk to you all for usually an hour, 2 hours every day. I send— I have a free email price and emails that I have so much content, so much work, because down deep I believe that If you're going to get any results with your weight, ultimately, you're going to have to be at this for a while. I'm going to tell you honestly, I think in timeframes of like college, it's going to take you 2, 3, 4 years probably to really master this. If I'm going to be really honest with you, the best results I've seen, the best results I've seen people get are people that I've worked with for years. And doesn't it make sense? I mean, come on. Right? If you're gonna play guitar, there's no 8-week program that's gonna make you a great guitar player. Do you know what I mean? And so this again is something that I mistakenly have bought into by the diet industry, is that I believed I had to make a program that was, you know, this long because that's how weight loss programs were structured. And so I created an 8-week program, but what I realized is that's really built around intensity, right? This 8 weeks, you really dial in. And don't get me wrong, it works because I've run for 20 years. I've run the program that way. I've done my coaching that way. But what I really ultimately learned, that it's the ongoing being there all the time, being there at Christmas, being there at 4th of July, being there in the middle of fall, the middle of winter. That's when it's most important. And so I realized my zone of genius is consistency. And I'm like, I'm selling a program that's based around a zone of intensity, zone of genius, that's intensity. And there's been a little bit of a mismatch there. So this really fixes that and allows me to really kind of work within my natural way of working. I'm here every— this is just what I do. I, I didn't choose this path, it chose me. I know it's a little corny, but it really feels true. And so now, um, turning this into a membership allows me to really give you the structure that I genuinely think makes the difference. Yes, I think you can do a lot in 8 weeks. But I think to get the results you really imagine in your mind, I— you need longer. And I think most diet programs are unwilling to say that, or, you know, whatever, or don't want to say. I don't know why, but I've made that mistake, and that's me fixing it, is turning into a membership, um, that you're here with. You know, in some sense, in a sense, it's like a gym. I don't like the gym metaphor. It's like a college that you go to, um, a gym college, you know, kind of like that, where, um, you You are learning things consistently. You know you're being reinforced. You're getting the support you need, and I believe that program yourself then. I don't know anything that's even close to this. I gotta be honest. And if you do, if you find some program you think's better than program yourself then for managing your weight, let me know. I will go see what they're doing, and I'll integrate it because again, it's not competition. I just want to give you the best chance you can have at living at your goal weight. And I don't think— I don't think GLP-1s are gonna do it 'cause I think GLP-1s are just a band-aid ultimately. And I think a lot of people are gonna end up at the point, even if they lose weight, where they're gonna really question if that's how they wanna live the rest of their life, where they don't really give a shit about food anymore. That— that's a— that's a knock on quality of life, you know. It's exciting when you're losing weight, but once you get to that goal weight, even— so, again, GLP-1s don't change the programming. They just mask it. So I do believe that it's the consistent— Uh-huh. Exposure to new ideas, of going deeper into this, of really mastering the skill of how to think, live, and eat like a thin, healthy, happy person that really makes the difference, you know, for your weight ultimately. And that's now, um, in 100% congruently what Program Yourself Thin is. And so it's real exciting. Um, yeah, Asman says, what's Gym AI? Uh, Gym AI is, um, yeah, I'm glad you asked that, right? Gym AI is The stuff, right? I love this thing so much. It's actually an AI version of me, and it is so cool. It is literally trained on 5 million words of mine. Actually, it was up to 10 million. So what am I saying? 10 million. All my coaching calls, all my trainings, all my podcasts were transcribed and put into this thing. So when you talk to it, you can chat with it, or you can literally talk to it, like, on, on verbally. It sounds just like me. It's crazy. And it is like getting coached by me, and you can use it 24/7. Um, just to prove a point, it's $2,500 for a session with me. Like, just to give you a comp, one of the highest paid hypnotists on the planet. I'm not saying it to be, you know, bragging asshole. I'm just saying it to just kind of give a perspective that I know what I'm talking about. It's $25 grand to work with me for, you know, a coaching block. So, um, you know, I know what I'm talking about here. And so using this Gym AI is phenomenal, you know. And people that have actually coached with me use it and say it's amazing. Not quite as good as the real thing, but it's about as close as you can possibly get. And that's just another piece of the program that's in there. There's a lot of other bonuses in there too, and I don't want to overwhelm you, but there's a lot of stuff, um, that's in there to support you. No. Uh, Is there a cost difference between the new program and Thrive? Yeah, Thrive's cheaper. So again, um, if you're in the program I've sent a couple emails out. I'm gonna send out a few more. I'll probably give you another week or two. I'm probably like, maybe the day after Labor Day, it goes away. The Thrive offer is going away. Okay, so I want you to know it. So yes, the price difference is that Thrive is discounted. You actually get it cheaper. And so again, I always say action is rewarded. And so if you've invested in the program, you get a lower priced offer through Thrive to get in there. And it's the exact same thing as the membership. Okay. But it's, it's $20 cheaper a month. So again, that offer is going to be going away. I'll let you know about that, but you got another probably week and a half or so before that offer goes away. But if you're thinking about doing it, I'd strongly suggest, yeah, doing it. Yeah, Vicki says, I feel like it takes a lifetime. Yeah, I agree with that too. That doesn't mean you'll be in the program for a lifetime, but you definitely— I mean, again, how long did it take you to get your college degree? Could you have done it in 3 months? You know what I mean? Do you play a musical instrument for a long time? Could you have done that in 3 months? You play a sport at all? You know, golf? Could you be a kind of good golfer in 6 months? You know, we really have, um, we've really— the diet industry screwed with our timeline so bad that we're expecting to create these miracles in such a short period of time, you know. Um, yeah, Pat says, do I need to be in Thrive? I'm in my 5th week of the program. No, Pat, you, you don't. You do not. You are, um You right now, Pat, are going through the first 8 weeks, okay? And, um, you're in the first 8 weeks, so stay in that. You're gonna notice that one of the new things that's happened probably this week is if you go into the Circle app, you're gonna see that you now have all access to the Monday call. So that's the only thing that's changed for you right now, Pat, is that the Monday call is now available to you. And once you go through the next 8 weeks Um, you actually— I'm gonna, I'm gonna send this out to you, but you're actually gonna get a few months of Thrive, uh, for free as a bonus. And then you can decide if you want to continue from there. But you will finish up your 8 weeks first. And again, remember, you have lifetime access to the program forever. Okay, so know that, and you can just restart as many times as you want. But you will also get a couple, um, you'll get a few months of the Thrive program for free to kind of test drive and test it out, and then you can decide what you want to do there. Okay, but, um, as a, as a previous, uh, as a current— anyone that's currently in the program that's gotten it within the last 8 weeks or so, um, will get the same, the same deal. All right, um, if you've already finished the program, that's not the case, but you do get the discounted rate offered to you. So, and you'll get the discounted rate as well, Pat, if, if, um, during that time, if you choose you want to sign up, you'll get the discounted offer as well. Um, yeah. So, so I want to make sure everyone's taken care of. I don't want anyone to feel— I will— it's, it's hard. It's hard making a big shift like this, kind of, because when's the right time, you know? Um, but I'm glad I kind of finally did it because it's, it's feeling good. I'm in the final stages kind of completing the whole transfer. It's been a little bumpy, um, but I should have that finished today, actually. And then I can go into full-on mode of really just focusing on the membership 100%. And, um, I'm so excited because I know It's going to serve so many more people, uh, and, you know, just— it's really a good way for people to kind of get in there and, um, and see if it's the right fit for them. Because if it is, that's what I guess I've really noticed is I've been doing this for over 30 years personally, over 20 years professionally, and, uh, I've finally gotten to a point where it's like my dream setup. And my dream setup is this, that the people that resonate with this approach And I'm not saying everyone resonates with it, okay? But the people that do resonate with it, it's life-changing for them. You know, it was life-changing for me, so I'm one of them, okay? But, um, I know it's life-changing for you. And, uh, what I want more than anything that I think ultimately becomes the most important piece of the whole thing is to feel the energy and the support and the encouragement of me and the other people in the program. And that's going to kick up too because it is going to become more of a membership where you're going to get more— there's going to be more opportunity to kind of connect and hear from and get support from the other people in the program. That'll be coming as it evolves. But right away you're getting me because in the Thrive program, for as long as you want to be in the program, you know, every Sunday you get that lesson with the new hypnosis session. Every Monday we kind of have a cool deep dive class with the notes, um, immediately afterwards for a replay. Where you can ask questions on the call as well, live. It's a live class. Um, every Tuesday you get on the Q&A, you can ask whatever questions you got, and I literally answer them directly right there, and you get the replay directly for that. Um, every Monday through Friday you're getting a new 5-minute morning hypnosis session to start your day calm. And, you know, and it just goes on and on. Every day you have access to Gym AI, um, and all the different tools that are coming along. But it really— it's, it's the It's the shape. The membership is the shape of success, and it's a more accurate shape of success than an 8-week program. So to me, it's more congruent with what you need to really thrive and succeed. And it's super exciting to have finally figured that out. Again, I wish I'd figured that out a long time ago, but sometimes you got to kind of keep bouncing against, you know, something before you finally realize it. It's realized now, and I'm super excited about it. Yeah, Pat says, I don't want to lose you. Yes, Pat, I don't want to lose you. And now, now again, this is— that's exactly what I'm talking about. Is that now, um, you know, even when people start, they understand that I'm here for you. Now, by the way, I'm here every Monday through Friday at noon, um, on this podcast lives anyways, okay? And through all the social media, I make all the reels and trainings, um, all that stuff's, uh, for you there as well. But the program just takes it to a whole nother level so that if you're serious, um, you can really take it as deep as you want. And what I've noticed over the years without fail And I mean this, I don't say this lightly. Every person that stayed engaged with this process long-term has gotten results. I've never seen someone stick with this approach who has not gotten results. So I'm very, very confident that this is the model that's going to support and serve the most people. Again, my mission in life is to help as many people as possible live at their goal weight. And so I do believe that this is the This is the way forward, you know, for all of us, right? Um, G says, views on peptides? I don't really know much about peptides. I really ignore most that shit, um, because things that are sold as kind of like these magical, these magical solutions never really work. What's up, Kathy? I saw you wrote, absolutely agree. I don't know when you wrote that or what you're referring to, but how you doing? I haven't seen you a little while. Nice to see you. Glad you're here. Um, yeah, peptides, I don't even, you know, I don't know. Peptides, apple cider vinegar, Acai berries, uh, uh, you know, uh, collagen protein. I don't know, it's just— so I don't know, they could be great, they could not be. At the end of the day, peptides are never going to be the main thing dictating your weight. That's all I know, because I look at weight as a big holistic comprehensive thing, you know what I mean? So peptides in there, you know what I mean, maybe that would go— I think of eating as like what you put into your body, so maybe peptides would go in here. And I don't know, you know, again, it would be a tiny little Tiny little fraction, no matter what it did. You know, to me, this is the bigger stuff. I mean, shit, you could be on GLP-1s. You'd be, what do you think about GLP-1s? Well, I think they dramatically change things, but it's not changing any of this stuff really. Well, it's obviously changing the eating in a sense, but not in the way we do here. It's changing the eating because now you're just not as hungry anymore, but it didn't really change your eating patterns or structures or programming. It didn't change your lifestyle or mindset at all. So to me, to live at your goal weight requires a complete understanding. Um, there's no one thing you're gonna do that's gonna fix it all. I, I've just never seen that work. And even GLP-1, which is probably the most powerful, um, one thing, you know, because it's not just one thing, it affects you biochemically in a way that affects your hunger and your hunger hormones, but those also affect your mindset a little bit in some ways, interesting ways too. Um, so it's a big effect, but I still don't think it's enough when it's compared to everything that I believe needs to change, you know. Um, Jane says, are people who buy the monthly PYT getting the books, and how would they get the 8 weeks if they only buy 1 month? Um, no, no, no, people that get the monthly thing are not getting the books. Um, that, that it will be an upsell if they want to get the books, they'll be able to do that. But no, um, monthly, monthly PYT people get into the program and get it. Um, and if they, if they leave after 4 weeks, then they don't get the 8 weeks, right? So if they stay for 8 weeks, they get 8 weeks. If they stay for 4 weeks, they get 4 weeks, you know. Um, yeah, so if they get 1 month, they get 4 weeks, right? You can only go through 4 weeks in a month, so Um, yeah, if someone, you know, someone signs up for the month, they do it, and they say, this isn't for me, and they leave, then they've done— they do 4 weeks of it, right? Um, so it's, it's, yeah, it's monthly. It's a membership now, you know, so, um, you, you get it as long as you're getting it. But no, there's no books, and there's no books included with, um, the membership. Um, so yeah. All right, everyone. Oh wait, there's Kathy. Kathy says, I was a chronic dieter for over 40 years, and your program has completely shifted my life. Thank you, Kathy. I appreciate you saying that. Again, Kathy's a long-term, um, client and success story. There's a shit ton of them. That's the— that actually is something I'm gonna be working on this month, um, September, is, is I've got just like literally mountains of testimonials, and I have got to talk to— I've got so many like super success stories at this point that I, I really need to talk to these people and interview them. Um, that— but that'll be coming, you know. We had to do the fundamental stuff here, but, um, Yeah, that's awesome. Nice job, Kathy. Yeah, now eat food and I enjoy daily and consistently lose weight, down 12 pounds in 6 months. Nice job, Kathy. And again, I know some people see, oh my God, 12 pounds in 6 months, that's, that's the slowest weight loss on the planet. Well, it's not, because again, we're not focused on how fast we lose weight, we're focused on how long we can live at our goal weight. So we look at weight loss as a phase. It's just a phase. Whether it goes fast or slow is kind of irrelevant. The The real factor is what skills do you have, what abilities do you have once you get to your goal weight? And so when weight comes off 12 pounds in 6 months, what that means is that's 6 months of living in a way where the weight's automatically going down. And what, what Kathy's not saying is that the way she's been living for 6 months is starting to become comfortable, automatic, natural. It's kind of doing it automatically, you know? Yeah, and then enjoy. Yes, Kathy says yes, but the difference is I enjoy the food, right? That's the big difference. So you might say, oh my God, 2 pounds a month, 2 pounds a month. What the hell? That's super slow. Yeah, but come check me in 6 more months when she's still doing it and she's now 24 pounds down and comfortably doing it. And she enjoys food and she's enjoying the holidays and she enjoys vacations and she can enjoy her favorite foods every week. That's the difference, right? So, you know, she could have lost And again, I'm not I'm not shit talking GLP one when I say this, but she could have lost. She could have lost twelve pounds in a month with a GLP one. She's not enjoying food. She doesn't. She hasn't increased her ability to be patient. She hasn't changed her mindset at all. She hasn't shifted her life at all. She hasn't changed the way she thinks about food at all. So again, to me, I'd rather take a year. And then get to a place where not only have I lost the weight, but I have skills. I have the ability to maintain it, to live there. That's the part that dieters always overlook, and it's the most important part. Because how many times you've all lost a lot of weight quickly and then put it all back on? You know, you got to stop looking at just the rate of speed. That's again the diet industry's conditioned you to only value how fast you lose the weight, when in reality the thing that's the most important is how long it it stays off. What if you had started your whole weight loss journey all those years ago by only valuing how long it stays off? Where would you be today? Well, you'd be in a fundamentally different spot. But because you're wrapped up— most dieters are only wrapped up in how fast they lose weight. It's— they do, because the only way you can lose weight fast is doing something extreme. It's a pretty direct correlation that to lose weight fast, you've got to do something really extreme. And so people have kind of internalized this as the only way to lose weight, but it's because we're only looking at the fastest ways to lose weight. But as soon as we zoom out and say, yeah, but what's the longest lasting way? The whole conversation changes. Yes, Pat. Yes, staying consistent. Yeah, and staying consistent at the end of the day is the most important thing. The most important is it's the whole game. All right.
