Recovering From The Holidays

Jim Katsoulis argues the post-holiday period is for recovery, not punishment. Sleep, hydration, and whole foods come first. He critiques the diet industry's quick-fix mentality and explains how binge-eating patterns form and how to prevent them.

It. Everyone, welcome to today's program yourself Thin Podcast. Today we're talking about recovering from the holidays. I consider this to be kind of the start of the new year Monday here. So again, if you're starting and feel the same way, great, okay, you're in good company. And so when we look at the holidays, I think the key thing to understand is that most likely there was an extra outpouring of energy and time and effort and all this other stuff in emotion, and that now that we're kind of at the end of it officially, a lot of times say, okay, now I'm going to jump into my weight loss plan. And when you take a step back and think about this, it makes no sense because most likely today you're probably feeling a bit tired, maybe a little bit down, just a little disoriented, a little lightheaded even. You're probably craving a lot of sugar and food. If you've been kind of off track for a little while and all these things are going on, and if you're experiencing those things, that's normal because you've been kind of locked in this mode for to six weeks, somewhere in between there probably where again, you've been in holiday mode. And that kind of zaps our energy. And so diet world, you know, it's like January 1st, New Year, New Me, and we're going to jump into something new again. But if you really think about it strategically, that's like finishing a marathon and then expecting to start another marathon right away, you know? And so I think in your mind, you should internalize. Getting through the holidays is kind of like, kind of getting for like a marathon. And then you need to recover. You got to recover from it. Now, if that's not your experience and you had a really chill and calm holiday where you're on track and everything, then ignore what I'm saying. But if you live the typical holiday American experience that most of us lived, you're probably starting today feeling a little tired again, craving sugar, craving unhealthy stuff. And there are other ways to deal with this all than just jumping 100% into a plan and or not thinking about it at all. So when we talk about recovering, it starts by talking about kind of the mindset and why we're even talking about this Instead of, okay, January 1st, I guess time to start my keto. Time to start intermittent fasting. And I know that's what the diet industry kind of gets you to think, but what if we took a step back and said, okay, this week here is my re entry week, and I'm really going to focus primarily on recovery. What's that mean? Well, again, you can customize it to yourself, but for most people, it's going to mean I'm going to get. I need to get some extra sleep. I'm tired. I need to hydrate myself at the more proper level. I'm going to start getting some whole natural foods in my body. That's what I would hope. I think those are three of the things that really help you. Now, obviously, you can focus on meditation, exercising, you know, relaxing, you know, things like this as well. But I think I like to keep things as simple as possible. So if you start to concentrate on your sleep, your hydration, and your healthy foods, then I think that's a great transitional framework for the first week. Two weeks, three weeks, maybe. Oh, my God. Right? So again, in a perfect world, we all start perfect today, we all started perfect on Thursday, the 1st. But we don't live in a perfect world, and we have to adjust and respond to the reality we live in. And so the alternative I want to put in front of you is that you start slowly, you start strategically, that you do the little things that allow you to do the big things, as opposed to thinking that just anytime you choose, you can just jump in and do everything perfect again. I don't see a lot of evidence that that works. So the main idea is recovering, and I want you to really absorb that. Now, if you don't need to recover and you're just totally fine, then obviously ignore this. But if you do find that today you do feel kind of a little weird, a little off track, that's completely normal. And if you put your energy and focus into recovery for a week or two, I think you'll be shocked at what you're able to do once you get, you know, back to normal. Whereas there's gonna be a lot of people that try and jump into a plan 100% they can't do it. And now they say now the year is blown. So I. I hope you choose the path I'm discussing here. If you want to go deeper in this path, I've got two gifts for you. One is click the link in my bio, go get the free hypnosis session I made for you. And two, is that right now, this book here, the dao of living at your goal. Weight is free. I'm giving this away for free. You can go to a place. I'm trying to think how to say this, because TikTok keeps kind of banning Me, they don't want me to send anyone away from their site. But I will tell you there's a place where you can get books that's named after a jungle in the rainforest. Starts with A, ends with Z Zahn. I'm giving that the Kindle book away for free over there. So you can go over there, search this up, you will find it's free. You can download the Kindle version for free and it's all yours. And I think it'll help you. I can't think, I cannot think of a better book in the world. If you care about your weight at all and you want to get it more under control this year, I cannot think of a single book, you know, that that would be more valuable to you than this one right here. So I strongly suggest you go grab this. It's completely free until Thursday, I believe. So anyways, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Nice to see you all. We are officially here. I did do a live yesterday for a little. I had planned to do lots of lives to promote and give this book away, but life said no, no, you've got kids and basketball games and other things going on. So I guess I won't be as live as much as I thought, but there you go. But I'm glad we're all here now and I hope you're all kind of getting back on track with, with your reality. I know I'm feeling good, I'm feeling that great. Like I, I definitely let loose during the holidays for sure. I'm feeling the consequences of that, but I'm happy to be back. So if anyone's any questions, feel free to ask them and we will get into it. Kick off the New Year. Foodie says. How to break binge cycle. How to break the binge cycle. I think if I was going to break a binge cycle and go at it, I'm going to look at a different place than most people because I have a saying. I like to think in terms of that most of the time where the problem shows up is not where it was created. So I think when it comes to binge eating, people tend to focus on the binge eating piece instead of looking at like what happened for the previous, you know, eight to 10 hours, couple hours before, you know, I want to know what happened before the binge happened because I don't think again. Dieting makes you think that you're going to have all this pressure to want to binge and then you're going to stop yourself and you Think that's, that's how I break the binge cycle. I'm going to stop, I don't want to binge and I'm going to stop myself and I'm going to break the cycle. I don't believe that because I believe that if you are a binge eater and you have issues with that, excuse me, that you're going to notice that there's kind of a pattern to the binge eating and there are things happening before the binge eating that are probably contributing to that happening. And a lot of times, just like they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, I like to say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of willpower. So if we can go earlier in the process and stop it over here, it can be a lot easier to deal with in the beginning than it is over here. Once there's a lot of momentum to the, the habit and the behavior. Excuse me. So that's what I would do. I would start to stalk, I would start to pay attention to my binging cycles. And you might have a couple different ones, you know, you might have some that are triggered by certain emotions. One, when I get really angry, you know, that kind of, when I get really sad, that contributes. Sometimes it's going to be contributed to your eating, sometimes you're going to over restrict and then that's going to lead you to a binge cycle. So again, the first thing I want to do if I want to break, if I want to deal with a binge eating issue is I want to take a step back and really understand the patterns in which they show up. And once I start to understand those patterns, then I will start to approach that strategically understanding it and then making shifts and changes. All right. Says I think a big problem is wanting to be in such a rush, which leads to burnout. Oh, I, I couldn't agree more. I, I think that's absolutely accurate. Tarita. I think the diet industry has conditioned us to think about weight loss just like in a very, very short time frame. Right. So when it comes to dieting, you're always saying, how much weight can I lose? This today, this week, this month. And so it's a very, very short time frame and it, and it creates that feeling of stress and, and anxiety and tension. And I think that that feeling is really very unhelpful when it comes to managing your weight. So. Yeah, agreed. I think people are rushing and a lot of times they really are rushing, you know, with. Right, right around this time of year, you Know, and again, I hope you realize there is no rush. There's no rush. And there's no rush because as I always say, your weight, your goal is really not to lose weight. It's to live at your goal weight. And so another way to put that is this is a never ending marathon. As a matter of fact, speaking of never ending marathons, there is a chapter in this book called the never ending Journey. And it is all about internalizing conceptually a different approach to weight that's not based on instant, fastest results possible. It's built on the reality of what you truly want, which is to live at your goal weight and to live there for the rest of your life on your autopilot. And if that is your goal, if you that is your goal to get to your goal weight and stay there for the rest of your life on your autopilot, well, embedded in that concept is that I want to do it forever. So it is a never ending journey. Now, I know that that stands in stark contrast to the dieting approach, which I just want to lose. I just want to lose weight. I don't want to lose weight, you know, but we want to take a step back and see the big picture, that we don't just want to lose weight. That's just the first phase. And then it's the first phase of a long process that we want to stay there. That's the goal. So hope that helps you. Bookworm says the book is pure gold. Well, thank you. It really is. It's so good. Again, this book is free. You can get this book for free today over at the big A and you can download it. It's. The Kindle version is completely free. So go check it out. Lois says. Oh, and there's Regina. Regina's happy to be here. Hello, Regina. Lois says, I did those three the last two days, and I feel so much better today. Yeah, that's great, Lois. Same with me. I'm kind of working on it. Although yesterday I kind of made a decision to go for the fun instead of the recovery. And I paid for it a little bit, but that's okay. Sometimes you gotta do that too. But I am looking forward to this week, especially me this week. Really. A lot of my food, that's the big one. Because my sleep's been pretty good, I would say. I've been going to bed later, but I've been sleeping later too. But. But this week for me, where so much of my focus is, is getting my food back, right? So even just now, I was just at the store. I'm getting my salad stuff. When I'm done here, I'll go eat a salad. And that. That'll be kind of the initial. Okay, here we go. You know, we're. We're. We're back in the game. And even if I don't eat great for the rest of the day, which is a great chance, my dinner might not be the greatest. You know, I'm gonna go to a basketball game. I'm traveling an hour down. I got a lot of stuff I'm doing. But even if my dinner isn't the greatest, what I'm focusing on, again, this is the strategy of change, is that I'm doing it a bit at a time. I'm not trying to change everything all at once. My goal this week is really. My main focus is getting the healthier foods back into my. My body, getting my water, my hydration patterns back into where they. Where I want them to be. Even my sleeping, you know, even last night I went to bed earlier, you know, so again, I'm strategically doing it. And so if I make a couple poor food choices this week, I'm fine with that. I don't give a. Because my success is not dictated by how much weight I lose this week or this month. My success is dictated by how my behaviors look and. And for me, how they start to go back to where I want them to go. And if you're new to this process, then your goal becomes getting the behaviors back to where you want them to be for the first time. But it's a different, different approach, and I hope. I hope that makes sense to you. Karen says you're great. Well, thank you. Appreciate that. Lord says that's exactly how I feel today. Did start to add fresh fruit in my diet and hopefully add some veggies. Yeah, I think that's great. Now, again, I can't stress this enough, you know, because I. I say this all the time, and people say, oh, I can't do it that way. I'm all or nothing. If I don't do it all, I'm not gonna do any of it. And it's like, you gotta stop saying that, because a, it's probably not true, but B, it's not working well. It's not working well for you most likely to do the all or nothing stuff, you know? So again, my goal today is if I can be a little voice in your mind that says you don't have to do everything perfect today, this week, and you probably won't, you know, so again, I like to think of program yourself then as being one of those practical, real. Practical and real approaches to dealing with your weight that exists. And I think it shows up really strongly right now, the beginning of the year, because it's standing in stark contrast to the diet messaging that you're probably getting that everything's got to kick off now or never. If you don't do it now, if you're not perfect today, then you've blown the year. And I find that. That's what I find so interesting at this time of year, every. Every beginning of the year. It's so ridiculous that if you don't start off perfect this week that you've blown the year. But it can feel that way, let's be honest. You know, you might literally feel that. And, yeah, you gotta watch out for that. Lois says, I got the Kindle version. I want a hard copy. Yeah, I mean, what I would suggest. So, so this is free right now. Okay. You can go and get this for free over at Amazon. The Kindle version is completely free this week. Go get it. It's free. You could have it in five seconds. It takes two seconds to get this book. But I, I do got to say this, too. And I meant to. I got to send an email out. I'm so sorry for this part. It's only in America, I found out maybe Canada, but I know Ireland, people writing to me, they're not. They've been having trouble downloading it. Australia was having trouble, so. But then some people said they got it. I don't know what's going on, but I'm gonna say my UK people were not able to get it. So if you're in another country, you may not be able to get this. So I'm sorry, go check it out. I, I'm hearing some people say yes, some people no. I, I don't know how that's possible, but so, but, but if you're America, it's free now if you want to get the hard copy, what I would suggest is wait till Friday. If you want to wait, it'll be $5 cheaper. I thought it was going to be cheaper while the book was going on, but it's not working that way. So if you want to get the physical version, wait till Friday and you can save five bucks. If you don't care about five bucks, order today and you'll have it tomorrow. It ships, like, instantly. But again, you can get the, the Kindle version free and go check it out. Sherry Brown says, I'm loving the book. It's A very easy read. And I'm highlighting what jumps out of me so I can reference back. That is awesome. That makes me so happy. Cherry, thank you for sharing that. That's how I wrote the book. This book is very intentionally written. It's modeled on the Dao de Jing, and it's modeled on. It uses hypnotic stories. And so I made this book to be a reference book. I made this to be a book. I don't. I don't have my version. I gotta find that. I. I had a version of a book. As a man thinketh. This is another inspiration for this. But I remember I was living in Boston, and I had my little. It was this big. My little as a man thinketh book. And I used to keep that in my jacket pocket. And every time I was riding the tea around, I'd go out, read it. I read it, read it, read it, read it, read it, read it, read it. And so this is kind of built on that, you know, every chapter, you know, is a page, page and a half, two pages, a couple of them. Page, page and a half. Yeah. A page to two pages, you know, but it's quick and easy reading because it's meant to be read multiple times. This is meant to be next to your bed, on your coffee table, in the bathroom. Read it just whenever you get a few moments, you know, I mean, you read a chapter, you know, read a different chapter. That's what it's meant. And each chapter is written as a hypnotic story. So I've written it in story form because that's how your brain codes information most effectively. And so what makes this book different from most diet books is it's not just a book about what you should do. That's one of the big problems here is that you have got to realize that being told what to do and even told why to do it. So I could sit here and write a book with all sorts of scientific facts in it about how you should eat. You could read this book, and guess what? It's going to make almost no difference in how you eat. So the way that really makes a difference in what we do is when we start to think differently about things. And so this book is written hypnotically to. You know, I've been saying this last couple days that hypnosis, a good way to think about hypnosis is. It's kind of like a Trojan horse, you know, Trojan horse. They snuck the army in inside the horse. It was a gift. And to me, the hypnosis is the Trojan horse. And the ideas in the middle are what we're trying to get into your mind. And so the stories kind of act as that delivery system. And what you'll find and what I intended and what I'm so happy to have heard is that people read in the book, you'll think about these things, you know what I mean? Like, you'll be out driving your car, and all of a sudden you'll think about a chapter. You think about the well and the water and the well chapter. You'll be driving, standing in line to the store, and you'll think about the magic mirror chapter. You know, and that's the idea. That's how I wrote this, because that's how you create real, genuine change, is you start thinking differently. And when you start thinking differently, you start feeling differently, and you start behaving differently. And that's how you create change. So, again, you can get this book for free today over. The Kindle version is completely free, so go check that out. And thank you for sharing that, Sherry. I appreciate that. What's up, Darlene? How's it going? Hope you're having a good new year. Jody, how's it going? Excited for you. Thank you. Yes. It's so exciting having this book out into the world. So I really appreciate that. I really appreciate my advanced reader team. I already seen some reviews start to come in, so I really, really appreciate that. That does help me out and get, get the word out. So it'll be interesting. I have no idea. I've never written a book before, never put it on Amazon, so I am curious to see. Oh, there we go. Yeah, TikTok just. They will not let me talk about anything that's not on Tik Tok. So they're going to restrict me. But that's okay. Now I can say whatever. Yes, this is on Amazon. You can go get on Amazon for free today up through Thursday. This book is free. So the Kindle version. Okay. Lois says, will the hard copy be on sale? Yes, the hard copy is already on sale. Like I said, you could buy the hard copy if you want, but understand that it will be. It'll be $5 cheaper on Friday, starting Friday, so. And B says, how do I get the book? Yeah, again, just go over to Amazon. I will say if you're. If you have any issues. What I will say is this, because if you're doing it on the phone, you can order the book through the Amazon app, but then you have to download the Kindle app to read it. So understand that you can't access the book through the Amazon app. You have to download the Kindle app to download it and read it. So there's that. And one other thing is some people have had an issue where they'll go to get the book for free. And I'll say it's not available. And if that's happening to you, one thing I've seen that works for everyone that's had an issue is if you go to your browser, whether on your computer or on your phone, go to the browser, Safari, Chrome, whatever you may use, Firefox, open up Amazon, log in and then get the book that way. And you should have no problems because I know some people were having issues. They did that and then they were fine. All right. Daisy's happy to buy the hard copy from New Zealand. Yeah, again, I'm not here, you know, I really want you to get the free download and if you want to buy the book, that's cool. But I would definitely recommend, obviously get the book for free. See if you like it. If you like it though, this is definitely a great book to buy a physical copy of. It very much lends itself to physical copy because as I said, it's meant to be read multiple times and if you have it somewhere accessible, there's more times you're going to pick it up. So definitely recommend that. Raven says Jim, thank you for the book. It's awesome. Thank you. Appreciate that. Yeah, it is fun. It is fun. I feel lighter after reading already after reading the book. That's awesome. That makes me happy again. I know what you mean. I. I've been reading this book non stop for. Has it been three months now? See, it's been four months. I don't know what I'm saying. I. I lose track of time sometimes. But yeah, I've been reading this book and working on it for. Since September and I've read the stories in here hundreds of times, but they stick with me, you know, so it's kind of fun. But it does make, it's meant to make you feel different while you read it. You know, again, when I say hypnotic stories, hypnosis is not just me speaking to you with my words, right? That's part of it, but it's. It's also the words that are being said and the ideas it puts in your mind. You know that that's the hypnosis. So whether you read something or whether you hear it, it's hypnosis. Okay. And so these stories are very much intentionally written to be something that stick inside your mind and make you feel Different. That's the point of hypnosis, is to make you feel something beyond just giving you kind of cold hard facts, you know, which is what most dieting is, is it not? Right. Most dieting is real cold, hard facts, cold hard strategy. Do this, eat this, workout like this, do this. It's always people telling you what to do, but no one's really kind of guiding you or working with you to help you, you know, change how you think and feel about stuff. All right? And that, that was the goal of this book. What's up, Casey? Casey says I have six months to get my together for my holiday. Couldn't lose weight for last holiday. I have a second chance now. Casey, you, you're. You're a regular here, so I'm not going to bullshit you, but you don't have six months to get your together. I would stop with that whole approach. It doesn't work. It didn't work last time. I'm sure it hasn't worked many, many, many times. Okay, I got six months. As soon as you feel yourself with that kind of. Okay, all right, all right. As soon as you feel that. I feel like you've pretty much lost. If you've tried that before and it hasn't worked, right. If you've never tried that before, knock yourself out. Give it a shot. Maybe it'll work for you. But if you've given yourself all these deadlines, because that's what everyone. Okay, first of the year. That's it. Okay, Valentine's Day. That's it. Okay. Springtime. That's it. Okay. Beach season. I'm gonna wear a bathing suit by then. That's it. And it just keeps cycling through. All right, so I have six months. It's again, that, that saying that fits right smack dab in the middle of a diet mindset, you know, this idea that you're going to give yourself this much time to get these results, and if I don't get in six months and sends all sorts of weird. It's like saying I got six months to be a great parent. What happens after six months? You know what I mean? Like, it's just, It's a lose, lose no matter what. It's a loss. Right? When you, when you frame it that way and it hasn't worked in the past. So it's not a second chance. It's a second chance for you to realize that approach doesn't work, Casey. That would be my, my message to you. Oh, look at that. All right. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's right. Bookworm. Got the, the book yesterday that you sent me, that picture. Thank you. It's cool. It's cool even seeing that. So, yeah, it's pretty fun. Like I said, I love even the way it feels. It's cool. It's a, it's a cool book. Spent a lot of time working on this. I gotta say, it came out. Very rarely in my life have things just come out really where I'm really, really, really happy with them. This is one of those things. I gotta say this thing. So again, go grab this everyone. It's free. Free over at Kindle. Kindle, Amazon. I can say it all I want now. Tik Tok's restricted me already, so I could say as much as I want because the other ones don't give a, you know. But yeah, the tick tock doesn't let you get off. They don't want you to take anyone off a tick tock, you know. So anyways, yes, Go get this book though, over on Amazon. It is completely free. Go grab it. Right. Even if you don't read it now, although it's a really easy read, I gotta say that, like, I very intentionally made this to be a very easy read. Don't worry, I got the next book coming, which would be a much harder read. It won't be a harder read, but it's gonna be a kind of typical book. But this one here is an experience. It's fun, you know. So go grab it. Go check it out for Daisy. Do you have to have a Kindle or can you just get the app? Yeah, you don't need a Kindle. You, you can just download the app if you have a Kindle. I think it's a better experience, I suppose. But yeah, I, I, if you have an iPhone, Android, whatever phone you got, download the Kindle app and you can get this book on. Is format a little different too. That's a, that's kind of a frustrating thing that I learned through this process is that those, those E readers, they don't, they don't format really well. I forget they have some style, some, some code or whatever with them. But so, so the book, you know, is formatted exactly the way I want it to, you know, and, but the Kindle formats a little. Not exactly I want, but, but whatever, it's, it's a great way to kind of see the book, get a sense of it, and you still read and enjoy it. And if you want to get the physical copy, knock yourselves out. Case in Ireland. And it says, please show us the painting behind you. The painting behind me, it's called. It's some biblical phrase. So I don't know, but if you go over to Facebook or YouTube, actually I'm gonna put that because I got all sorts of free stuff. I'm giving you guys away. So what I would strongly suggest, if you're interested in any of the things I'm talking about, is go and click this link I'm putting in. This is for you. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram people. Here is a link to go get a free hypnosis session and I will be sending out more emails to remind you. Go download this from Amazon. The book name is the Dao of living at your goal weight. I'm going to type that into. Let me put this in here. There. That's a long title. I need a shorter title next time. There we go. Free Kindle book. Yes, the Dao of living at your goal weight. So there it is. And you can all read it now, right? We worked on that yesterday. It turns out my screen was mirrored here, so that was a little weird. But there you go, that's the book. See what it looks like? It's right there. And if you do get it and you do like it, please feel free to. Please feel free to write a review. If you like it, even if you don't like it, go ahead, write a review, Say it's terrible. I guess if you have some bad reviews, maybe it helps too, I guess. I don't know. I guess, like, what do they say? Like, there's no such thing as bad publicity. I guess there's no such thing as a bad review is what I'm led to understand. But not sure if that's true or not. Harriet says, what think book did you mention? I'm not sure what thinkbook I mentioned. I probably mentioned this one. This might be the one you're talking about. The Dao of living at your goal weight. This book will help you think like a thin, healthy person, though, in a very unique way. Like I said, it's free. Go get it. What's up, Deb? Deb says, hi, can I join Pat from the uk? Does it all work the same? Yeah, we got tons of people from the uk. I always say it's kind of neck and neck. It's almost like a three way tie between Canada, uk, Australian, tons of people from there. And so, yeah, it all works the same. You know, you get the. You get the sessions delivered right to your phone in the mornings. You know, everything works the same. The only difference is that the calls might. Might you Know, might be a little bit different to schedule around, but we do live Q&As every Tuesday at 3pm Eastern. That's, that's New York time. New York, New York time. So whatever that is for you, which I think it might be around like 8, 8, 8pm Maybe around there, if I get that right. But yeah, it works the same. Had tons of people from the UK use the program, get great results with it. So, yeah, UK people do really well with it for some reason. I, I don't know why, but it does seem to be a pattern there. So again, here's the title. I put it in there that the full title, the Dow Living at your goal weight. I know dao is kind of a strange word for a lot of people. It just means the way. It's kind of like the idea is the reason I wrote the dao, because the Dao de Jing was a huge impact on me for a while. But basically the idea of daoism, and I'm not a daoist expert, so I want to make that crystal clear. But the way I've always internalized it is it's kind of the way and it's a way that kind of lives in harmony with its surroundings and environment. So the idea of the dao of living at your goal weight isn't really. It stands in contrast to a diet, where a diet is very like you're kind of fighting against yourself and fighting to force yourself to do things that are going to make you lose weight. The idea here is that we're going to work with ourselves. We're going to find the easy way, the easiest way, I should say, to create the body, the health and happiness that you want. And that's kind of the goal. So the Dow part is actually really, really important, you know, for this whole thing. So it's not just a word that's there. It actually has a lot of intention to it. Carol says, getting my review in today. Love the book. Can't wait for my hard copy. Well, thank you, Carol, I appreciate that. I appreciate the review and I think you're going to love. Oh, Daisy says I can't read. It's reversed. Oh, does this start reversed every time for Tick Tock? It sure does. All right, let's switch it. There we go. Sorry, sorry. Tick Tock. So I've been showing this. Of course it doesn't matter. No, there's no one in Tick Tock Land anymore because they restricted me. But in Tick Tock you can't talk about anything that's going to leave Tick Tock's platform. They will, they will stop. They'll still let you do it. I guess they just won't let anyone hear about it. So anyways, here it is. The dao of living at your goal weight. It is free right now over at Amazon. You get the Kindle version completely, totally free. So I appreciate that. James says, I enjoy your videos. You're definitely intelligent. Well, thank you. Appreciate that. Yeah, I mean, you spend, you know, 30 years studying something, you tend to learn something, you know, so I've been doing this for a long, long, long, long time. I've been fortunate enough to come at it from a different angle. And it is a mission for me to help as many people as possible at their goal weight. And that's why I'm here every day, Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern. So I am promoting this book this week for sure because I really want you to get it while it's free. But beyond that, I'm here every Monday through Friday talking this stuff. So I appreciate that, James. Thank you for your comment. So Christina, Christina says so many chapters resonate. Love the Magic Mirror so far, one of my many favorites. I was saying that yesterday that I, I feel the same way. There's 40 chapters in the book and I absolutely love 30 of them. I think, you know, I like them all, but, but some are just really special. The Magic Mirror for me is one of my favorites. I, I just, I love that chapter. I love a lot of them. So I'm not even trying to pick favorites. Someone said it's like your kids, you know, it's hard to pick your favorite one. I would agree. But I suppose if you have 40 kids, you probably like some more than others. I'm joking. But yeah. But this book here, the Magic Mirror, is one of my favorites too. So I like that. But yeah, someone Jody asked me yesterday which ones I like the most and I, I swear I would just say different ones on a different day because I really like all of them so much. But yeah, the Neverending Journey, the Lantern, I like the Pyramid, obviously. You know, I love. The Magic Mirror is one of my favorites. I love Emotional Alchemy. The Bounce Back Spell, that's one of my favorites too. The Bounce Back Spell is one of my favorites. And I love all the, the Habit ones I love too. And again, they're all told in metaphorical hypnotic stories. I think that's what makes this interesting. That's why I really want you to get this. It's free because this is going to be a unique experience for you, I guarantee it. There's no book like this. There's no book on the planet like this one. This one is a one of a kind, I can guarantee you. And I know this because it takes you through in very short hypnotic stories that are easy to read. It takes you through the whole program yourself, then system. And so there's 40 chapters. But what it's doing is it's taking you through the entire program yourself then approach and system. And so it's breaking down. This is the goal weight blueprint. This is kind of the main workbook of the program. This is really where you create your own customized blueprint to get to your goal weight and stay there for the rest of your life. But, but in a real simplistic way, what the goal blueprint takes you through is this goal weight pyramid where it's funny I got to learn how to move differently because I'm usually I've been mirrored for three years. So now watching myself not mirrored is weird, but I almost can't do it. I can't even get the thing to show right. But, but so it's mindset, lifestyle and eating and transformation. Right. So those are basically the four categories of program yourself then. So this goal weight blueprint takes you through how to create the mindset, lifestyle and eating of a thin, healthy person customized to you. And then the transformations how to run your own mind so that you can do those things and become that person. And that's what this book does. It takes you through the. There's four sections in this book and again it's try to show you there's four sections of the book, but it basically is. It covers your mindset, your lifestyle, your reading and your transformation of your mind. And it's all done that, you know, in a very specific, systematic way. And so I always say, I mean, you don't have to be in the program to get a lot of value out of this. But if you're in the program and you read this, I think it's really going to support you in the program because it's going to give you kind of a 10,000 foot view of a lot of the deeper things we talk about. And I think it's going to be a nice addition to the whole program. So James says your insights on weight loss are very appreciated and help out a lot of people. Well, thank you. I appreciate you saying that. And I kind of know that again, I'm not here to act like I don't know that. I think I very intentionally Am aiming to bring a different perspective and idea to weight loss. I think when it comes to weight in this culture, we've been. So the diet industry has really hijacked how we think of weight loss. And the diet industry is just a branch of the food processing industry. Right. Weight Watchers owns On My Heinz. Danny Craig was owned by Nestle Atkins Food Products owned by the same company. On Zonians Pretzels and Cinnabon Slim Fast owned by the same company owns Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. So again, all these places that you've been learning how to lose weight from are really just the food companies. And so again, do you really think they're going to teach you the best stuff so you stop eating their foods? You know what I mean? It doesn't make any business sense and they don't. And so dieting is really a dead end. It's a hamster wheel. It's a path to nowhere. And most likely you've been trying to diet for a long time. Right. And it hasn't worked. So again, my goal is to give you new insights, information because I've been fortunate to do it. I have been doing this over 20 years professionally working with real people on the ground, not just telling them what to do. Right. I feel like that's the easiest job in the world in one sense is like, how do you, how do, how do you, how do you just tell people what to do? You know, like that ain't enough. Right. If it was like there would be a million dietitians everywhere and you'd go to the dietitian, they tell you what to eat and you'd eat that and you'd have no weight problems. But, but clearly there's more to the story, right? We need, there's got to be more to it than just being told what to do. And that's the part that I think no one ever really addresses is it's one thing to be told what to do, it's another thing to be able to. How can I get myself to actually do this? And that's why I think you don't get a lot of information on that. And that's the void I am attempting to address, you know, with this whole thing. Yeah. Christina says I have sticky notes Mark my favorites as I'm reading for the book. I love it. I'm glad you like it. Yeah. And I can see that. I could see I'm sticky notes. The only problem I'd have 10, 000 sticky notes. Yeah. It's just a fun Read. So again, you can all get this free over at Amazon this week until Thursday. So get it while you can because it won't be free forever. And once it's not free, it's not free. All right? Because it's not my fault I can't even make it for you. I think they say, what is it? You can make it free every like 90 days maybe or something. I don't know. So. But I will say if I can, if I can, next time I do this, I will make it free again when I can. And I will make sure if I can, to include other countries. I know some countries having issues with it and I didn't. This is my first time doing it, so I might have screwed some of that up. So I apologize if you're in Ireland or England or whatever and you're not able to get the book for free. Excuse me, but I got a workaround for you. I'll tell you this now. Excuse me. I haven't been talking a lot for two weeks. So get my. I get the pipes back up to speed. I talk a lot. So anyways, what I want to say if, if you're here and you are in England, Ireland or some other country, country other than American, you can't get the Kindle version, email me. Email me at jim program yourself thin.com and I will email you a PDF version of it. That's the best we'll be able to do. But I just want you to know I'm here for you. I didn't know this was going to happen. I found it out yesterday is what it is. But if you are in a country and you can't download the Kindle version for free, shoot me an email at Jim program yourself then.com and I will shoot you a link and I'll literally send you the PDF of it, which is a close second. At least it's formatted the way I want. Jody says, I think my favorite changes are my mood of the day. I feel the same way, Jody. I feel that same way. I go through this and like, I don't know yet. Sometimes chapters just kind of catch you, you know, you're ready for them. I got the ones I know I definitely like. But yeah, the rest of them kind of change day to day depending on my mood. I feel that same way. Harriet says, how can I get the Goal Weight Blueprint Book? The Goal Weight Blueprint Book is only available for clients of the program. So I don't. I don't sell it wouldn't be worth. Well, It'll still be valuable, I suppose to you, but. But it's really, it's a piece of the program. So you know, this isn't it. There's also trainings that go all around this show you how to take you through it. So this is only for clients. If you are a client, you. You obviously have the PDF version for free. If you want to get the physical version, there's a link in the Circle app. You can go order it. And I'll tell you one more thing too. If you are considering joining program yourself then at all it is discounted this week. Okay. And this is it. Next week it is going to be $500 and it's never going to go below that again. Okay, I. I know I say this all the time, but if you don't believe me, I, I can respect that because I've said it a lot. But everything's in a row now. So yes, that, that won't be going. But on the flip side it'll be more. But at the same time it is also going to include this physical workbook and a couple other things as well. So you know, it will be a little more. But it's going to include. I'm gonna take that back because it's a little more complicated than that. But anyways, if you want to get the program, by far the. The least expensive way you'll ever be able to get it is this week. It is discounted. And then that. That'll be till Sunday night. Next. Next Sunday night. That. That's it. So if you're thinking about it, keep that in mind. Terese says, I hear you. I was about ready to give up on weight loss. You added a different approach that I can tune into. Well, that makes me happy trees. And that's why I'm here. Because I know and that's why, especially at the beginning of the year, because it's so ridiculous that people could have a bad couple days. Like, oh God, imagine Thursday rolls around and you think you're just going to start your intermittent fasting plan perfectly on a Thursday. Like it's, it's so silly when you think about it. But there's also a lot of people caught in that silliness and they're going to give up on the year because they screwed up the first couple days. You know, so what we need. And I really like that you say that, Therese, because what I look to really. It's built into the program. Yourself then as well. But certainly all the things I'm saying to you are That I want you to be able to think about your weight and your eating and all those things that impact your weight even when you're not doing perfect, you know, and that, that's the big challenge of dieting is that it's an all or nothing approach. And so you either have to be doing perfect or you don't want to think about it at all. And that's obviously that, that's not a good strategy, you know, for succeeding. So in Program yourself then it's fundamental to the whole system, which by the way, I, I told you I got, I got so much stuff happening. It's if you've been following the program for a while. Well, first of all, if you've been listening to this podcast for a long time and you haven't signed up for the hypnosis session, I don't know what's going on. Okay, you got to do this. But one of the things I'm giving you all and I'm going to tease it because it's not 100 done, it's, it's, it is 100% finished. I just have to put it into circulation. But one of the things I'm doing is I'm going to give you a free program called PYT Spark. And at the moment it's gonna have more. But in that program there's gonna be a free hypnosis session, a 10 minute kickstart session called the New Thin Me. There's a masterclass training three steps to master your weight that's completely free. There's a report, the Program yourself thin method that literally shows you how to do the main, how to use the main technique of the whole program. It breaks it down in the report. That's free. And there's a goal weight quiz that's going to take you through it takes five minutes. Gonna help you answer a couple questions, guide you through a process to identify the perfect goal weight for yourself. All that is free. Okay, I've given it all to you for free. So if you sign up for the hypnosis session today and you just click the link in my bio, it's weird, I changed my picture on TikTok and it's like I can't see it now. It used to have a bright pink background. I might, I might have to use the new picture but change the background so it stands out a little more. But anyways, you can go to program yourself thin.com and sign up for the free hypnosis session there and you'll get in the email list and I Will send you a link to all of those, all those free things as well. Bookworm says the book is the cherry on top of the PYT program. I agree, I agree. I think that's the perfect description of it. And that was the goal. So that's what I wanted to do. Raven says I understand how critical it is to have a motivating why beyond I want to look good in my clothes. No kids, spouse, how to find the things. Yeah, yeah, for sure. I agree. Raven so much that in the. The goalway blueprint, the very first thing we start with, right? So if we look at the goalway pyramid again, I'm, I'm all hanky janky over here because for three years I've been doing these lives and I've been watching myself flipped. I didn't realize until I started showing this book that's for free on Amazon right now. Okay, you get the free Kindle version right now. The dao of living at your goal weight. But until I started showing this, I was, oh, it's flipped, it's flipped. So I reflipped it, but now I'm flipped. And so now all my movements that I've been doing for three years are reversed. And so if I seem like I don't use my hands, that's why I can use my hands. But this is. It's kind of weird. Anyways, back to the point. I the goal weight pyramid, we follow and we start with mindset because it's most important piece. And if you zoom in there, mindset wise, the first thing we do, Motivation. Come on, finger motivation. So yes, agreed, Raven, that understanding how to motivate yourself at a much deeper level to me is the core foundational piece to get started with because I think most people that want to lose weight actually are not motivated. I think you weigh what you want to weigh and I think most of you are not really motivated. But I think even worse, you don't even know how to get yourself motivated. If you realize you're not motivated dieting, you've never learned how to run your brain. You've never learned how to get yourself motivated. Dieting is kind of like once you are really motivated, then you do it. But no one has ever shown you how to really tap into a deeper motivation than just how you want to look. And so I'm probably myself then we literally go through that process. So you've got much deeper things to build on and I, I think that's crucial. I think most dieters, motivation is just not up for the task. So I agree, Raven, and it's a big part of it. Name of the book is the Dao of living at your goal weight. There it is. That's the book. It's free right now, completely free over on Amazon, Kindle. Go download it. It's only gonna be free for a couple more days, so get it now while you're thinking about it. Takes two seconds. You'll have it. You can read it whenever you want. Leonie says, I noticed I all or nothing mindset from years of dieting. I've noticed I do it with exercise also. Well, that's great, Lenny. That's, if I'm saying your name correctly, that, you know, again, program yourself, then back to the. The pyramid here when it comes to eating, and this really applies to everything, but especially eating, we break that down into three categories, but the first one, I don't know if you can see it, it says awareness. So a big part of programming yourself then is developing awareness. Because the way our mind's set up, most of our behavior runs on autopilot. We're. We're unaware of it. We're just kind of automatically doing things we do. And so if you want to change your behavior, the first thing you got to do is start to become aware of it, understand it, recognize it. And so you're a step forward now. You're a step ahead of where you were, Leonie, by realizing this all or nothing thinking you do. And once you start to see how all or nothing you are, it's really such a gift because once you can see it, then you can start to fix it. But before you fix it, sometimes you have to see it and appreciate just how destructive it is for you. You know, it's so harmful, this all or nothing thought pattern. And the truth is that most people, most people that. Most people that want to lose weight, they're all or nothing thinkers. And some of them will be proud about it even, right? So we got to be careful of that and program yourself, then. We're all or something. We're all or something. Because the truth is that most of the time in your life, you're going to be something mode, something mode, not all mode. So again, we need to deal with that and we need to get good at being able to stay in the game when you're not being perfect. And that is at the heart of program yourself then. That's why I'm so excited for you, all those of you that listen to podcasts that aren't in the program. One of the things I'm going to be sending out this week. Is this the Program Yourself then method? It's a, it's a special report and it shows you how to use the redo rehearsal technique. That's the core technique we use in the program to program your own mind. It's a 60 second rehearsal technique you use at night. And that to me is the real heart of Program Yourself then even more than the blueprint, in my opinion, I believe the heart of the program. And this is really important stuff. But I think that being able to program your own mind with the redo rehearsal technique, that to me is the cornerstone of the whole program. And so I made this report that shows you how to do the redo rehearsal technique. It breaks it down for you. You can start using it tonight. And so I'll be sending that out this week. So again, make sure you get on my email list, all right. Because that's another free thing I'll be giving. But I guess the big thing I'm giving because it's only this week is this book right here. You can get the Kindle version for free. The dao of living at your goal weight. It is on Amazon.com Kindle version is free right now. So go get that. Oh, okay. Lynn says, I'm in the UK and I've just downloaded your book free of charge from Amazon. Thanks so much for this opportunity. I follow you on Facebook. I'm in generally grateful for all the knowledge you share. Thank you, Lynn. I appreciate that. And thank you for kind of verifying that that it was on, it was on the UK site because I know it is a little weird and I, I apologize for this folks. I'm a little new. I'm not a little new. I'm completely new. I've never written or sold a book on Amazon so I'm kind of learning as I do it. But one of the things I learned is that I may have set the free price promotion up, not completely. And so it may be that people I know, Ireland seemed to be having some issues. Australia seemed to be having some issues. So if you have any issues in those, those countries, I apologize. As I said though, if you are one of those countries, you can't download the Kindle version. You can email me a gym app program yourself then and I will email you a PDF version of it. All right. Incognito says, does the book contain your PYT methods and structure or is it something else? No, it absolutely. It takes you through the program yourself then system in a very light and accessible way. So I Want to be crystal clear. This is not, I'll be the first to admit, Program yourself then is, is a meaty program. I mean, there's no question, I like to think as a college course for weight mastery. I mean it's, you know, you're committing to it, okay? It's a way of life, it's a, it's a, it's a philosophy. So there's a lot of depth to it, no doubt. Now that being said, it's an accessible program to go through. You listen to a five minute hypnosis session in the morning, a five minute, ten minute session at night. You do a 60 second mental rehearsal technique in the evening and you fill out your blueprint, you know, and follow it. So it's not overwhelming, but there's stuff there. It's there there, right? And so this book here was, I wrote this book to kind of be a part of the process. And what this book is designed to do is to take you through the program yourself then system in a very light and accessible way. And so this book is written in very short chapters. There's 40 chapters. And the chapters are written with hypnotic stories, metaphors, things like that. So it's very fun, easy reading, but it is explaining the program yourself then system. And as I always say, you could have never heard of me before you could get this book, read it and you will get tons of value out of it, no doubt about it. But if you are in program yourself then and you read this book, it's going to just, it's going to turn on a whole nother level of this whole thing because you're going to get a different view on the techniques, you know what I mean? Because a lot of times we're kind of in the techniques, using them. But this here, I always think is like a 10,000 foot view. It's like the difference between being, you know, on the main street of a village, you know, that perspective or standing on the mountaintop behind the village, looking at the village right there. So there two different perspectives. This is the mountaintop view. So you can see everything. You're experiencing everything, but you're experiencing it from a different perspective. And I think ultimately that's gonna be valuable because the more perspectives you have on something, I think the better, I think the more you can, you can really internalize it and get it and understand it. So yes, I would definitely say whether you've never heard a program yourself then or whether you've been in the program for 10 years, you're gonna get a lot of value out of this book. Right. And it is free right now on Amazon. You know, sometimes getting restricted is better. So you know what? TikTok restrict me. And now I can just at least talk normal. So, yes, over at Amazon, go grab this book, the Dao of living at your goal weight. Make sure you can all read that. And of course, you know, you don't. You just have to get Dao living weight. How to bring it up. All right? And hopefully, hopefully, if we get the downloads and the reviews, you know, maybe it'll push it out to. To more people. And that's kind of exciting, too. But for right now, I want you all just to get it. I want you all to read it. Teresa says, I love the idea of looking at the percentage of weight toward goal, not pounds lost. Oh, yeah, that's a good one. Right? Yeah. So Teresa's referencing is. And you can use both of them too. Right. So it's not an either or. But most of the time when people want to lose weight, they really get fixated on a number that they want to lose. Okay, so let's just say you're 200 pounds, you want to be 150 pounds. So you. I want to lose 50 pounds. I want to lose 50 pounds. I want to lose 50 pounds. But what happens is. And it's really the whole time. But it's certainly. It's especially once you start to get into the weight loss, once you're ten pounds in, if you only stay focused on the amount of weight to lose, you really lose context to where you're at. So an alternative to just looking at £50, £50, £50, is to start breaking it down into percentages. Okay. And so you can say, okay, I'm 10 pounds down. That's one way to look at it. The other way to look at it is that you're 20% of the way to your goal, or you got 80% left. Okay? You get to 20 pounds lost. Okay, well, now you're. What's that? Oh, let's just say 25. Let's keep it simple. My brain can't do math right this second, but let's say you're down 25 pounds, right? You want to lose 50 pounds, be down 25 pounds. So what most dieters are going to do, and this is where it starts to really matter, because once you get to £25, a lot of times the weight loss slows down a little bit. Okay. And if all we're doing is focusing on weight loss, we can get very discouraged. So I Would suggest another way to frame it is to say, you know, you get 25 pounds down of a 50 pound goal, you said, I'm halfway there, I'm 50% of the way to my goal. And as that starts stacking up, I'm 60% of the way, 75% of the way. I think that's very important because what I've noticed is that people that fixate on the number, what happens is I'm 10 pounds down, right? And it's like I'm 20 pounds down, I'm 30 pounds down. And then things start slowing down. And now they keep saying, I'm all, I've lost 30 pounds. But everything stalled. I lost 30 pounds, everything stalled, everything stopped. I can't go any further. I lost 30 pounds, I lost 30 pounds. I can't get any more off. And they lose context of how much they've succeeded and how close they are to their goal. There's a huge difference. I lost 30 pounds, I lost 30 pounds. I lost 30 pounds. And saying I'm 60% of the way to my goal, I'm 70% of the way to my goal, they just feel different, you know, And I think, again, I think both of them is the right answer, you know, but you definitely want to add that. You know, just like you want to add this to your, your bookshelf, your virtual bookshelf this week. Okay, Go get the Kindle version for free. This is free this week. Go over to Amazon, download this Kindle version, download the Kindle app if you need to. It'll take you all of five seconds. You get this book in your Kindle and you can read it whenever you want for life. Right? Get it this week, though, because it's not going to be free. So you can go back up. So go get this book. Right? But yes, looking at your weight as a percentage is definitely valuable. So thank you for sharing that, Teresa, reminding me of that, because that's always helpful to, for other people too. I like to think incognito says ordered, got the paperback because I don't use a Kindle. Well, you're not going to do wrong. And plus, I don't know, can you return books from Amazon? I'm sure, right? Yeah. So you get that book, you hate it, you send it back. You're not going to hate it, though. I know you're gonna love it. This book is good. This is a good book. If you give a. About your weight at all, you got to read this book because you, you may find I might. Maybe I'm going to delusion territory here, but I'm going to go for it. I don't care. You may find that this might be one of the best weight loss books you've ever read in your life. It might be. It might be. I'm very confident. I'm not going to pretend I'm not. I think that I'm bringing something here that's just never talked about. And I think if you read this book, I can guarantee you that you will come away with new ideas and thoughts about your weight eating, all the things that affect your weight. And most likely that's what I love this book so much for. I mean, I hear this all the time, you know, because I, I do this podcast. I've been doing this podcast for over three years. And so I know I'm sharing ideas and information I'll get to normally here. Okay, I know that. But my challenge has always been how can I do it faster? You know, how can I do it faster? I don't want to have to. Someone have to kind of tune into the podcast. Stick with me for a little bit. That's what this book is, right? This book is. I think, you know, you, if you get through the first chapter, I think you're going to be hooked. You're going to want to read more because it's just quick little bite sized pieces of information. But the beauty of it is this, and this is my main goal for writing this book, is that I want all the dieters out there to be able to realize that there is another way, there is another approach. And I think we forget that because we're so goddamn bombarded with diet, marketing and that whole world that we forget that we can approach weight differently. And that's what this book is putting across to you. And I would challenge you, I will challenge you. I don't think you'll be able to do it. I would challenge you to read this book, even just half of it, and not have some of those ideas you read change the way you think about things. You know what I mean? There's a chapter on water, but it's not, hey, make sure you drink more water. Six to seven glasses. That's what you should do. Half your body weight in ounces. Drink water. It helps you hydrate. And you know, God damn it, how many times you heard that stuff? That. That's not what you need to hear. So the water chapter in here is talking about a plant that needs water. Right? I know. So what the. That sounds stupid, Jim. It does sound stupid when I Kind of say it, but it's a story that helps you internalize it differently. That's the point. And I cannot imagine that you wouldn't read this book and not come away from it thinking and feeling different about some of the core things that are dictating your weight. And that's what makes this book so different. Diets are just basically reinforcing and telling you to do things that you already know, basically. Right? When have you let read a diet? But I mean, it might be a different strategy. So someone says, oh, don't eat for 16 hours. Oh, I never thought of that. Okay. But basically, at the end of the day, it didn't change your ideas and thoughts and feelings about food or yourself or water or sleep or your metabolism or none of this stuff. It didn't change anything. It's now just you, the same person, but now you're going to try and force yourself to do something. And the intention and the beauty of this book, I believe, is that it changes you while you read it. You read the water chapter, I bet you start drinking more water. You know what I mean? Like, that's the difference. I'm not telling you to drink more water. I'm telling you a story that's probably going to make you want to drink more water. You see the difference. And I think that's the missing piece in weight loss for most people is that the diets. You have been being told what to do for your entire life when it comes to weight loss, always told what to do. And no one has ever helped you to figure out how to get yourself to do it. Let's be honest, you know, and so that's what this book is for. It's to change the way you think about the fundamentals that are controlling your weight. And I think it does it in a really unique way. So incognito. I think you're gonna love this. I love the physical book. I mean, it feels cool. Every. Every decision just worked out. I. It feels like a miracle. It is a very surreal. I will tell you this. It's very surreal. I. I did. You know, I wrote this book last year, but I guess for some reason I'm considered a book. I don't know why it is. This thing's awesome too, to be honest. This thing. Let me just take a second. Hold on. You're gonna hear me, like, talk about great. I am for a little bit. But this book is so sick. This thing, right? Because it looks nice. You know, look at this thing. I spent a lot of time and Money and energy on getting this thing designed. Right. I can't get this thing to show. Right. Little pictures. Oh, man. You go through this thing, this thing is like it's customized. That's a secret too, by the way. I don't think I could just tell you what to do, because you're your own person. You got your own preferences, your own lifestyle, your own likes and dislikes. I just, you know, you're on your own person. So I think with dieting, one of the big issues is that they just be talking to people like everyone's exactly the same, right? Like, everyone's got to stop eating for 16 hours. That's how you lose weight. Oh, you want to lose weight? You got to stop eating carbs. Yeah. It's like one. One prescription for. For the entire population. And what it leads to is feeling like weight loss. Starts to feel like you're trying to put a square peg in a round hole, right? Tell me weight loss hasn't felt like that your whole life. Like you're trying to force yourself to do things. They just don't feel. They don't feel like you. Right. You're always fighting with yourself. Weight loss, in your mind, it's coded as you're always fighting yourself, arguing with yourself, forcing yourself. And it creates this rebellious part that always ends up winning, but it always feels the same. It's always very confrontational. That's why I say I pick the dao of living. The dao is really one of the key words here. And if you're not familiar with it, it's really. It's an eastern philosophy concept, but it's the idea of going through life looking to harmonize with your environment and surroundings to get results you want. So right off the bat, it's a fundamental different approach to things. Because now, again, especially in America here, we're very confrontational peoples, okay? We got a confrontational history. And so with America, we always want to meet things like this. And that's how you all approach in your weight loss, right? You gotta. You gotta dominate yourself. You gotta force yourself to eat differently. You gotta force yourself to stop eating that stuff. It's all fighting and forcing. And what's gone on for you is you can fight and force for a little while, and eventually, always, you get to a point where you can't fight and force anymore. And that's when you quit and go back to what you always did. And if you look back at your weight loss history, it's that same repeating cycle, right? Is that you get really upset about your weight. At some point, you step on the scale, you see the picture of yourself. You see a reflection. You have to go to the doctors. Someone says something rude to you and you get so mad, you get so upset about your weight. You said, that is it, I don't care, I'm gonna change my weight. And then you go and pick some crazy plan keto, intermittent fasting, counting points, counting calories, restricting like crazy. You do something crazy for a little while and then you can't keep it up and you go back to what you always did. And this is why you struggle with your weight, in my opinion. So this book really represents a completely different path. And you can see by the way, again, there's a lot of subconscious communication. I'm a hypnotist, okay? So there's a lot of subconscious communication going on in this whole thing. I mean, from the first page, really, from the COVID to the back. But again, that's why there's a path there. I gotta learn to use my hand. It's different, but it's a path. The path indicates that this is a never ending path. It never ends. You as a dieter, think about it as a temporary path that you're going to walk until you get to your goal weight. That concept alone is dooming you because you have been trained to think about weight loss as a temporary, short term thing. You do. And then you stop doing it, right? You say, I'm going to diet until I lose the weight. Well then what are you going to do? Oh, then I'll figure out how to stay there. Oh yeah, but no one does though, you know. So again, we need to change that concept first. And the way you change that is again, this dao, this path based idea and obviously the book shares a lot of it. Again, the Never ending Journey. I read a chapter. This I'll just read, I'll read this because I love this. This is the Never ending journey. The pace that lasts. There once was a woman who longed to reach the next village. She began, as she always did, by sprinting. Pushing herself as hard as she could, counting every step, measuring every mile. She made quick progress until her focus began to fade and her body became heavy. Soon she collapsed by the side of the road, far away from her goal. Defeated, she returned back to where she started from. But in time, her strength returned, her hopes stirred, and her desire to reach the village rose up once more. She laced her shoes full of resolve and once again charged ahead, only to find the same ending, waiting for exhaustion long before arrival again. And Again, the pattern repeated, bursting forward, breaking down, always ending up where she started. Then one day, she chose a different beginning. She slowed her pace. She walked with steady steps. She paused to rest, to drink, to notice the beauty of the road itself. And to her surprise, the village came closer each day. Not through intensity, but through consistency. So it is with you. This is not a sprint. There's no starter's pistol, no finish line ribbon to break, no metal waiting at the end. Because there is no end. Your goal weight is not a place you visit. It's a place you live day after day, year after year. If you rush, you stumble. If you burn yourself out, you stop. But when you move with steadiness, you feel the ground beneath your feet, the air in your chest, the path ahead of you. Not a race to finish, but a life to be lived. This is the Never ending journey. Not a destination, but the continuous path of living the life you were meant to live in. The body you were meant to live it in. Come on. Huh? I don't know. I love it and I just, I love that chapter. Did I say that's one of my favorite chapters? Because that is absolutely one of my favorite chapters. The Never Ending Journey is one of my favorites and I think it, I think it crystallizes so much of people's weight loss experience. And again, by the way, you can get that plus 39 other chapters for free. Today I'm giving this away. It's a Kindle. Go over to Amazon, download this and get it. All right, let's see. Shireen says got it last night. Nice. I finished it. Read the PDF. Looking forward to posting review. Well, thank you, Shereen. I appreciate that. Patty Jackson. I started reading it this morning. I'm loving it. Well, thank you, Patty. I appreciate that. It's so nice. It's. It is. What a treat. I will tell you, I. I've always imagined what it'd be like, but writing a book and having people really love it is a lot of fun, as you can imagine. So thank you. Maria says thank you, Jim Kitsulas. I appreciate your approach to weight loss. I've ordered the paperback and look forward to reading this book. All right, well, thank you. I appreciate that. Three said. Just order the physical book. Not a Kindle fan. I like to highlight, go back and forth. Etc. Very reasonable price to have tangible pages. Agreed. Agreed. I. I think it's a pretty reasonable price. That's another piece I will say that's really important and exciting for me is that my, my programs to work with me, you know, it ranges from expensive to really expensive, I suppose, you know, so it is nice to have something that's, you know, very reasonable that you can get a really taste of what we're doing over here. So again, go get this over at Kindle for free or order the paperback if you, if you don't, you know, like to have a physical thing in your hand, I don't think you'll be disappointed, you know. Yeah, incognito. I know you're not gonna hate it. I listen to your podcast. You're gonna love it. I know you're, that's why I say, like, I, I know for a fact people that are in the program and people that are regulars here are gonna love this. I mean, it's really, it's all the ideas we talk about just in a really, really clear, compelling way. Okay, thank you, Christina. Yeah, I just checked Amazon, Canada. Okay. Both Kindle edition and the paperback. Yeah, that. Okay. So yes, you can get the Kindle edition for free in Canada. Uk, America, Australia's having a little bit of issue. Ireland, I heard some, a little bit issue. See, I don't know why, because I thought I did set it up. Right. But I don't know, I don't know. Like I said, if you are having any issues, let's be honest, right? Technology stuff gets weird in weird ways. But if you are in a different country and you can't get the download again, email me at Jim at program yourself. Then I'll show you the PDF of it. I do have that. Bookworm says. All right, thank you. From a person who reads a lot, trust me, this book is absolutely life changing. Well, I appreciate that. I trust you. If your name's Bookworm, right. You know, books, I'm gonna assume I read a lot of books, so I, I know as well. Again, you, you never know with your own book. I suppose you biased, but I read a lot of books and this book is the book I always wanted to read. I, I, if I got this book from the library or from the, the store, I just would be over the moon. Thank you for sharing that. Bookworm says my PYT blueprint hasn't arrived yet, but it doesn't come by Friday. I'll let you know. Yeah, let me know. I don't, yeah, by February. No, no, not by February, Bookworm. Oh, wait a second. Oh, okay. No, Canada, right? Are we talking Canada? Holy. All right, well, yeah, let me know by February, but I think you should have it. That was like, I think I shipped that two weeks ago. I think But I will say that's another thing too, is that the shipping has been. We have been trying different stuff and figuring it out, but I got to figure it out now. So again, I haven't been promoting those workbooks a lot because I haven't wanted to deal with the shipping. But I've got it all figured out now. So I will be promoting those as we move forward. But you should have that far before February. But let me know if you don't. But I'm pretty sure we're probably two weeks into it of being shift shipped. So I don't know. I don't know. I have no sense of Canadian post office times. Although I did send someone else one to Canada and they got it. Oh, I don't know how long it was. Yeah, snail mail. Yeah, I kind of heard that. Another one I heard was Australia. And Australia is crazy. Australia is very expensive to ship stuff. And I can tell you, I mean, Canada's too. It's kind of crazy. But anyways, yeah, you should have that. That was shipped out and everything, so hopefully you'll get that soon. Oh, all right. I'll get out of here. I do have a lot of stuff to do. I got a busy day. I planned on being live pretty much all day, but now that kind of changed. So I will be this week kind of going crazy. So anyways, let me just close off in saying that, that if you're all. You're getting back into the groove of things, okay? So if this week isn't perfect, please don't judge yourself on that. You know, realize that for most people this is going to be a re entry week, all right? Where again, we're getting ourselves, we're doing the little things to get ourselves to be able to do the big things, you know, But a lot of times we can't just do the big things. We got to prepare for most of us, again, the holiday season, we just kind of finished a marathon. And when you finish a marathon, you don't just start another marathon because now the marathon's over. You got to recover a little bit, then you do the marathon. So realize you may be feeling some of that right now. All right? That's completely normal, natural. Obviously this book is free right now. So if you go over to Amazon, you can get it for free. The Kindle version is completely free. You got till Thursday to get this. So don't wait because it will not be free after Thursday. Go grab it, Go get it, read it, write a review if you like it, if you want to go deeper and as well click the link in my bio or go to program yourself. Then go get the free hypnosis session that I made for you. There's a bunch of other free stuff I give you as well, but go get that. And then if you like listening to this, I'm here live every Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern. I will be on here more this week, just at random times, but I'm always here, usually around noon Eastern, Monday through Friday anyway, so pop in there and listen in. So, all right, everyone, have a super duper day and we'll talk soon. Bye everyone.
