Strategic Weight Loss In 2026

Jim Katsoulis (host) presents a New Year’s Day episode about strategic weight loss for 2026, urging listeners to think long-term (one year), make commitments outside themselves (grand gestures/support systems), and prioritize maintenance and mindset over short-term dieting. He describes his paid program "Program Yourself Then" (blueprint, 60-second mental rehearsal, daily/weekly hypnosis audio) and offers a limited-time bonus (signed book for same-day purchasers), answers live audience questions (on commitment types, GLP-1 drugs, tracking, holidays), and emphasizes flexible, practice-based behavior change.

It. Foreign. Hey, everyone. Welcome to 2026. Happy New Year to everyone, and welcome to the program yourself, then podcast. Today, we're talking about strategic weight loss in 2026. This is especially important this year and this day because it's New Year's Day, but it's also Thursday, so. So I will let you know that if you're feeling, you know, half of you wants to lose weight, and half you is the last thing in the world you want to think about. It's completely understandable, and it's fine. We're going to talk about how to deal with that. Okay. And we're going to talk about the bigger things surrounding that. So, again, what a lot of people like to do is like to kick everything off on the first of the year. Okay? But realize that this year, the better strategy may be to wait till Monday. All right? And we start to use today until Monday to kind of, you know, start to get ourselves mentally back on track, but know that we're really going to kick things off Monday. So that'd be my first suggestion to you when it comes to strategic weight loss. And strategic weight loss is really my favorite thing in the world to talk about, because most people do not approach their weight loss strategically. They approach it very tactically, like a dieter, and try and change one thing and just ride that out. But what we want to do is we want to see the whole picture, the full holistic approach to mastering your weight for good. And when it comes to 2026 specifically, again, the first challenge you got to deal with is that the first is on a Thursday. The Thursday is typically literally the worst day of the week to start a plan. And so if you're feeling, you know, that you want to lose weight, but you're not able to get yourself to do anything to make that happen today, that's completely fine. All right? Again, I would look at the next couple days really as a, you know, ramp back up to really hit it on Monday and Monday. Though, again, even on Monday, you're not going to hit it perfect, most likely. And this is my plea to you to please be more strategic. And we start being more strategic with weight loss when we start thinking longer term. All right? So what I want you to do is just take a second and think to yourself, where do I want to be next year at this time? With my weight, with my body, with my health, with my happiness? Where do you want to be next year? And we start here because typically, when people think about weight loss, they're just looking at the short Term, right? They're like, how much weight can I lose this week? How much weight can I lose this month? And this is the thing that gets people into trouble more than anything else. So we want to start by looking at the year. Where do you want to be next year at this time? One of my favorite quotes in the world is that most people overestimate how much weight they can lose in a month and underestimate how much weight they can lose in a year. And so if you start to think in terms of a year, that is what goes hand in hand with being strategic. Because when you deal with things in your life that you know, have a longer time frame, right, Maybe you went to college, maybe you got some certification or training program you did, but things you've done in your life that you've done for a long time and that you expected you're going to be doing for a while, you just naturally are more strategic with it. When we think we can hack our way to instant riches or instant weight loss, that's when we start to get into trouble the way we think, because we're always looking for shortcuts, we're always looking for hacks, we're always looking for things to kind of cheat the system, and it never works. So when we start thinking about, what can I do so that next year at this time, I'm in a better position, I'm happier with my weight, I'm more in control of my eating and my mindset and all the rest of it. If you start thinking that way, that starts to set the initial frame of your success, because again, you don't have to start today right now. You can start today. We're going to talk about how to start today because I think it's a good idea to start today. But you're not going to start today like a diet dieter, most likely. And I fear for the dieters that are going to jump into their plan today, because it's the first, and I feel bad for them because I can almost guarantee you they won't even make it through the weekend. So, again, we want to start seeing the big picture. And it's not about how much weight you lose in January, it's about how much you master your eating, your mindset, your lifestyle, so that you can live at your goal weight for the rest of your life. Completely different approach and mindset. But when you absorb that mindset and start operating out of it, it's a life changer, an absolute game changer. So how do you take action moving forward, strategically What I would suggest is that you stop focusing on the little behaviors you're going to do right now. What does that mean? Well, it means that most likely you're going to intermittent fast, you're going to cut the carbs out, you're going to count every calorie, you're going to track your points, you have some plan in your mind of what you're going to do. And there's obviously a time and a place for those plans. But I want you to take a step back and make a bigger commitment to I'm going to figure out how to get to my goal weight and stay there. That's the languaging I want you to use. Because losing weight subconsciously is coded as a temporary thing. Whereas if you start thinking about getting to your goal weight and living there, that's coded as a long term thing. And this is the mindset you need because you're going to have ups and downs throughout the year. We know this. All right. And it starts right now with the first being on Thursday. Right. Most people, if they could choose it, they would want the first to be on Monday. Okay. So again, this is actually a little gift for you this year that it is coming on Thursday because you can look at this more strategically right from the beginning. Now what you can do, here's the big difference, is that you can make a commitment that goes beyond your motivation. All right? This is the big secret to succeeding. I think this is probably more important than anything else in terms of what results you're going to get this year in 2026, is that you need to make some sort of commitment to your weight, your health and your happiness that exists outside of just your motivation. Right. So what do I mean by that? Well, if you say, well, I'm just going to start tracking calories on my own, you don't tell anyone. You just in your head, I'm going to, that's it. I'm going to start eating better, I'm going to start tracking calories. Your chances of success are very low because your motivation is really driving the ship. As long as you're motivated, you'll do it. The second you're discouraged, you'll probably stop. So what you need to do is you need to make some sort of commitment outside of yourself. This. And again, this doesn't guarantee success, but it certainly sets you up for more success. So again, I don't love these examples, but I'm going to give them just because they explain what I mean. But it is the difference between saying, I'M going to start working out more and joining a gym or hiring a personal trainer. Right. The difference between saying I'm going to eat better and signing up for a healthy meal program that gets delivered to you, say, you know, I'm going to, you know, watch my calories versus going and joining an actual program where there's some commitment that goes beyond just to you. All right? And certainly program yourself then again, I make it a point to not make this a pitch session. I will say this is the one day of the year that I kind of do pitch. Program yourself then a little bit. What I am offering today as a bonus is anyone that orders today, I am going to send them a copy of the book and I have discounted the price. If you do go to programyourself, then.com you will be able to get that. So I will just leave that there. But again, I don't care if it's program yourself then or not. The point beyond that is that you need to make some kind of commitment to your weight, your health, and your happiness that exists outside of you. All right? It's got to be bigger than just you, because if it's only to you, you're really at the mercy of your moods. And again, as long as you're fired up and motivated and everything's going well, you'll probably be on track. But as soon as things get, you know, difficult or frustrating or you take a step backwards, it's just too easy to quit, you know? So having a support system there, I just think is so fundamental. And you know this in your own life. I mean, how would college have gone if you didn't have a support system there, if you're just on your own trying to study this stuff? So, again, I urge you to seek out today, this is what you could do today that would probably make the biggest impact on your weight over the next year. It's not how many calories you eat today, is what I mean. How many calories you eat today has a lot less to do with what your weight's going to be next year at this time than the commitment you make at the beginning of this year. And the bigger commitment you make to yourself, most likely the bigger benefit and bigger success you're going to experience and achieve over this next year. So what I would suggest is that you take a little bit of time today and you think to yourself, where do I want to be one year from now? Where do I want to be? Weight, health, happiness, where do I want to be? And then ask yourself what is something I can do today that will move me in that direction, that will keep me on track for the next year? What can I do today? What commitment can I make today that is going to lead me to success one year from now? And I don't know what the answer for that is again, obviously, I think Program Yourself then is a good answer, but I don't care what it is you choose. I just want you to choose something because I want you to tie yourself to something today that's going to pull you to your success. A year from now, most likely, you're not going to be able to do this on your own. Do you understand? It's like if you just are. This is what most dieters get wrong. This is why Weight Watchers is probably the most effective weight loss program in history. It is not because of their, their tactics or their philosophy. It is literally because there's a social component that people feel committed to where they will show up when they're not having a great week. Right? And so that is one of the most important things for you to succeed with, is make a commitment today that is going to pull you into next year's success. And again, I don't know what shape or form that's going to take, but make that commitment today. And that's probably the best thing you could do today to ensure your success for a successful 2026 in terms of your weight, your health, and your happiness. So I hope this helps you out. And again, if you want to go check out Program yourself, then it is on special today. And anyone who orders today only, today only, I am sending a copy of my new book, signed copy of it. So if you have any questions though, feel free to ask it. I am here to help you and that's what I'm here for. What's up, Karen? How's it going? Happy to see you. Happy New Year. Oh, geez. I haven't even been talking. I'm kind of all fired up. I really. Man, it's been a great, great, great holiday. Geez, has it been two weeks? I feel like I've lost all track of time. It's this very surreal couple weeks for me here. But it's so nice to be back. So I hope you all have had a nice holiday season here, a wonderful Christmas if you celebrate it, nice New year, all those things. Let me see here. But yes, if you have any questions, feel free to ask, but I am here to help you and kick this year off strong, as strong as possible for you. I know people Love to think about weight loss on January 1, but people hate to think about weight loss on Thursdays. What's up, Karen? How's it going? Hey, yo. All right, Karen. Happy new year. Lost 23 pounds last year, thanks to Mew. Yes. Nice. That's awesome, Karen. Great job. Yes. Karen is in the program, working it. And hopefully you've noticed, Karen, that there's been some updates. We've made things look great. Yeah. But a lot of cool stuff going on. I haven't been doing a lot of lives. Yeah. Oh, I don't like that. You know, sometimes you got to do it. You got to take a little bit of a break. And I. I did, but I don't like. I don't like it off my schedule. I like. I like being here with you all. So. Yes, it's nice to be back. Let's see. Castle Rose. Happy New Year. Thank you. Angelina says, can you give an example of a commitment? Yeah, I think a commitment. I mean, the easiest form of commitment, there's a lot of types of commitments you can make. Okay. I want to make that crystal clear. But the commitments I'm talking about are the kind that are outside of yourself, right? I'm not talking about commitments to you. Okay. Those are great. Don't get me wrong. I. I love commitments that you make to yourself, but I'm talking about something outside of yourself. And usually there's a. There's a concept. Oh, it was called Deep Work by Cal. Cal something, but Cal Newport. Anyways, he. In that book, he talks about the concept of a grand gesture. And it's basically when you want to take something on that you make a grand gesture to it. And obviously, the easiest way to explain grand gesture is a, you know, expenditure of money, Right? That's kind of the easiest one. But it could be an expenditure of time, commitment, you know, energy to it. But. Okay, so it doesn't have to be money. I mean, it could be. You join a walking group, right? You find a walking group and you join that. You team up with a friend, and you say, okay, we're gonna check in every whatever and do that. You sign up for program yourself. Then now all of a sudden, you have a. You have a support group. You're right into an old system you're committed to, right? You join a. I'd say join a gym, But. But joining a gym, unfortunately, has really proven to not be that effective of a commitment. But. Okay, so here's a good example, though. The difference between joining a gym and hiring a personal trainer, Right? One's a much more grand commitment, grand gesture. And most likely, if you hire the trainer and pay that money, you're going to show up for it. You know what I mean? Again, and I say this all the time, I don't live in this world so much anymore. But for a long time, really, my main business was coaching. I. I was, I would privately coach people. And it was a big commitment. I mean, it was, you know, it started off well, it started small, but. But it went to, you know, five grand. People pay me up to $25,000 people would pay to work with me. So obviously, you can imagine that's an enormous commitment that you're making. And without question, the people that invested a lot of money always got better results because they showed up more consistently, they took it more seriously, they were more committed. There's just no question about it. And again, if you've gone to college, that's one of the grandest commitments you made, right? Because college, for most people, it's hard. You know, it's difficult. And so if there wasn't, I'm a perfect example of this. I remember getting to my senior year of college and it's like, geez, Christ, I do not want to do this. This is the last thing in the world I wanted to do. But I was like, look at all the money I've invested, all the time, all the energy I've invested in three and a half years. There's no way I'm letting it go now. And I don't know. I really do question if I would even finish school had I not made that commitment. So again, commitment comes in a lot of different shapes and forms. But the main thing I want you to understand is that usually the bigger commitment you make outside of yourself, the more you commit to someone else. And like I said, obviously, you know, someone's going to work with me privately and pay me 25 grand. They're paying me 20 grand. They're going to show up for me. That's a lot of money they're committing to, right? But again, someone can show up just as much if you make a commitment to a friend that we're going to walk every, you know, weekday morning or something. So again, commitments come in many shapes and form. It's not just a financial one, I'll make that clear. But there's a big difference between, you know, okay, here I go, I'm going to do it this year and just saying it again and actually doing something different and making commitment outside of yourself. You tend to show up at A higher level for that. And I will tell you again, this is one of the benefits of my work is when. I mean, I've done it, too. I've spent over a hundred thousand dollars on trainings over the last 20 years. And it's like every time I have some of those trainings have been, you know, 10, $20,000. And so it's like when you fork over 10, 20 grand, you show up. You know what I mean? Like, and the showing up is 90% of it. You know what I mean? When you show up consistently in a real passionate, committed way, what you can accomplish is absolutely shocking. You know, I mean, like, it really is transformative. And so this is why I say to you, you know, everyone's got their own situations and differences, but if you can seek out a higher level of commitment for yourself, I. I don't think you'll be upset with that, you know, so. And I know it can feel scary on the front end, but always seems to work out better. Jody says the book is amazing. Thank you, Jody. Yes. This book, I don't know, it's pretty good. It's pretty good. And I will be giving this away for free. The digital version, the Kindle version, I will be giving away for free next week. So if you do listen to the podcast, I will be live all next week a lot. And I will be really pushing you to get this book. I want you to get it on Amazon again. I'll be giving it away for free starting Sunday. If you do order the program today, I will send you a signed, physical copy of it. All right? But yeah, the book, I think it's really good. I've got a lot of good feedback already. I've sent out some. Some advanced reader team is what you call it, right? So I've had some people start to read. I've got some feedback now, and people are liking it. I didn't. I. I'm happy to hear that. I'm not surprised. I've been writing this book. I told him this book is kind of quick, but it's a short, you know, it's a short, easy read book. It's meant to be. It's hypnotic stories and things of this nature, but it really takes you through the program yourself, then philosophy and approach in a real, accessible, interesting way, you know, and it's meant to be read multiple times and all the rest of it. So, anyways, I can't wait for y' all to get this. I think you're gonna love it, but thank you, Jody. I'm Glad you you enjoy the book. Patty says, happy New Year. My goal is to lose 10 pounds in 2026. All right, I will give you a slight, you know, shift in the language you're using, Patti. And again, I get the goal. One thing I would add to that you might want to test out is that your goal may be to live at your 10 pound lower weight. Now, I know that sounds strange, right? But when we say I want to lose 10 pounds, what's happening? I know this sounds strange. Follow me for this. I think this is really important is when we say I want to lose 10 pounds, we're still referencing our overweight self. Does that make sense? Right. If you, if you're saying I want to lose 10 pounds, you're thinking to yourself, being 10 pounds heavier, right? And you're saying, I'm 10 pounds heavier and I want to lose 10 pounds. So every time you frame your weight loss in terms of how much you want to lose, subconsciously, you're, you're reconnecting and reinforcing your self image of being a heavier person. I hope that makes sense because this is fundamentally, in my opinion, this is right at the core of the results you're going to get one way or the other, whether they're good or bad. And so what I would suggest, Patty and I don't know what your weight. I don't, again, I don't know what the numbers are, right? I'll give you an example. Say you're, you're 200 pounds and you want to lose 10 pounds, right? So instead of saying, I want to lose 10 pounds this year, I want to lose 10 pounds THIS year. I start to say, I Want to In 2026, I want to learn how to live at 190 pounds. I want to learn how to live as 190 pound person in the easiest, most enjoyable, comfortable way possible. Now, listen, obviously you can always reference I'm going to lose £10. Get there. There's nothing wrong with saying I want to lose 10 pounds. Please understand that what I'm saying is it's missing the fundamental component that you're still subconsciously thinking yourself as an overweight person. Does that make sense? If you're saying I want to lose 10 pounds, you're thinking yourself being 10 pounds heavier and losing 10 pounds, but you're still subconsciously pinned to being that overweight version of you. And so much of program yourself then is about redefining how you think about yourself. And so it's not about losing weight. It's about learning how to live at the weight you want to live at as the person you want to be. And so, again, we start that right from the beginning. And I would suggest to sprinkle that in with your goal setting. So don't just say, I want to lose 20 pounds, I'll lose 50 pounds, I'll lose. Not lose, lose, lose, lose, lose. We don't want to just talk in that language. We want to really shift it over to, I want to weigh X amount of pounds. I want to be the X amount of pounds version of myself. Does that make sense? And when you start speaking that way, you start thinking yourself as that version of you. And that's the purpose, in my opinion, because we don't want just lose weight. You want to live at your goal weight. And there's a big difference. Elmita says, do you feel self sacrifice is part of weight loss or mind shift or both? I mean, yes, absolutely. Self sacrifice is, is, is part of the process. But how we frame that self sacrifice is extremely important. So I find it interesting because, I mean, like, I don't know, to be honest, we all sacrifice time in the morning to brush our teeth, right? I mean, you are sacrificing time and energy to brush your teeth. But it probably doesn't feel like so much of a sacrifice, because the way you think about it, it just feels like a necessity. It's something I got to do, you know. But in the process of creating the change, yes, a lot of times things do feel like sacrifices. But I do not love that languaging, because I think when we use the word sacrificing, we're focusing more on what we're giving up than what we're getting. Okay, So I do agree that we. Absolutely. If you're going to lose weight, I think you're going to. You're going to give up some of the things that you've been doing right now. You don't have to give up the foods necessarily, but you will most likely have to give up the behaviors with those foods. And when I say give up, I mean, so if you eat a certain amount of food, we're going to give up that behavior and for a new one. But again, I don't like that languaging. I like dialing down. You're going to dial down your calorie consumption. You're going to dial down your consumption so that you can weigh what you want. But so again, yes, I think absolutely self sacrifice is a part of the equation. But I do believe that there's much more effective ways to frame that. That feel a lot more comfortable. So that'd be my answer on that one. Invincible Singh, how's it going? Happy New Year, everyone. May this year bring lots of joy and happiness in your lives. Yes, it's nice to have a new year. I had a great 2025, but again, I'm looking forward. It's always fun New Year's, I think. I love resolutions, you know, I know people are kind of down on them sometimes, but I think the reason why is because most people only set resolutions once a year, you know, and I. I think if you set resolutions right in. In the program, we talk about setting resolutions every month. You know, resolutions aren't the problem. It's the fact that most people set them one time a year, you know, once. And so, no, if you keep focused on your resolutions and what you want, why you want it, how are you going to get it, what's working, what's not, if you keep doing that, that's a huge, you know, strategy to get what you want, you know, and to succeed. So, yes, Terrence says, agree that change in thought process is so powerful and exciting to me. Very good. Very good. Yes. All right. So Patty says that would be my goal weight. Yes. All right. Yes. Okay. So there you go, Patty. Right. So again, my goal is to lose 10 pounds. No, your goal is not to lose 10 pounds. Your goal is to learn how to live at your goal weight for the rest of your life. And you're going to make a big step towards that in 2026. You see? But again, when we frame it that way, we're talking about the end. This is straight out of seven habits of highly effective people, starting with the end in mind, you know, and the end that we truly all want is not to lose weight, because you've all lost weight before. Everyone's lost weight, and most people put it back on. So the weight loss, just. Just because you lost weight, you're not happy. You lost £40 two years ago and put it all back on. Right. You're thinking about how I'm mad that I weigh what I weigh now. So it's not the weight loss. It's the living at our goal weight. I hope that makes sense. Does that make sense? It's kind of like saying, well, I just want to make $10,000. I mean, listen, making $10,000 is great, but, you know, that. Would you rather make $10,000 or be rich? They're two different things, you know? And so with weight loss, weight loss is like the $10,000. It's just a temporary thing and your brain codes it as such. So, again, that's why I say, please don't describe your weight loss journey only in terms of pounds lost. I think that's one of the fundamental mindset mistakes dieters make, is that that they're fixated on losing weight rather than living at their goal weight. I think that's the biggest mistake dieters make in a nutshell. And once you fix that, it does a lot to fix the whole problem. Because in my opinion, the core mindset issue with dieters is that they. The. The finish line, the goal that they're thinking about. When you're a dieter, your goal is to lose weight. That's the goal. I just want to lose weight. That's the mantra of every Dieter on the planet. I just want to lose the weight I just want to lose. Put your number in there. I just want to lose 10 pounds. I just want to lose 50 pounds. I just want to lose 100 pounds. I just want to lose £100. And you say it a million times in your head, you know? But what ends up happening is you start to think that the finish line is losing weight. And as soon as you think that, what happens is your brain starts to think, okay, this is a temporary process. We're gonna do this crazy until I get to my goal weight, I want to lose weight. It's a temporary thing. Let's get it over with. Let's do it as fast as we can. Let's get it done. But you ain't getting it done, dude, because it's like, you get to your goal weight and then what? This is the biggest mistake dieters make. And it's not your fault. You've been conditioned to think this way by the diet industry, but you. You're going to get to your goal weight. And what. It's estimated that 83 to 95% of dieters that lose weight put it back on. So you can't live in this ignorant belief that you're going to just get to your goal weight and then just figure it out, because no one does. You haven't. Let's don't get mad at the messenger. I know you. If you're watching this right now, you're probably overweight and you have probably lost weight and then put it back on. So you can't just, oh, I just got to lose it. What happened last time you lost? Well, this time's going to be different. Why? Why would it be different this time? You know, to make it different starts the first day, your maintenance starts on day one. This is why in program yourself, then we follow the goal weight pyramid, okay? Mindset, lifestyle eating. And with the mindset piece, one of the very first things we focus on is maintenance. I don't know if you can read that. It looks blurry to me, but it says maintenance, okay? Because the goal is not to lose weight. The goal is to live at your goal weight for the rest of your life on near autopilot in the most enjoyable, comfortable way possible. And most likely, you've been trying to lose weight for decades and you've never once articulated your goal that way. I bet unless you listen here regularly, you never hear that kind of language. And it sets you up for failure the way that you usually think about it, because all you care about is losing weight. And as soon as you only care about losing weight, that's when your brain says it. I don't care what I have to do, I'll just, I'll starve myself. I'll stop eating carbs, I'll just. I don't care. Just tell me what to do and I'll do it. No, that's, that's, that's not, that's not true. Just because you say that and think it doesn't make it true, right? And so what most dieters do is they get so worked up and then I'll do. I'll do whatever I have to do and they'll do the crazy for a little while and they can't keep it up and they put the weight back on and they just repeat that as many times as they need to or until they quit or give up. So I would suggest that you shift your goal right from the beginning to realize that losing the weight, the weight loss is just a phase, right? I mean, the weight loss is just a phase that's going to take you a couple months or a couple years. And then what? Then the goal is to live at your goal weight, then forever, isn't it? But the way you're trying to lose weight doesn't really set you up for this success, because what you've done to lose weight in the past is you do something extreme. That's why you can't start it on a Thursday. That's why even today, even though it's the first of the year, even though it's a brand new new year, new me, and you're ready, you cannot start today. Really? Not really, because it's not Monday, you can't go in and do the perfect thing starting Thursday. That's why in program yourself then? People are going to start this today and you know how they're going to start? They're going to start by listening to a five minute hypnosis session tomorrow morning. They're gonna completely change their eating in one day. I always joke, program yourself then. It's so funny, especially this year because I really refined the program so much. But this year was funny because it's like I, and I always joke, like, program yourself then I always say it's the only weight loss program people start on a Friday. I sell a ton of bunch programs on Fridays, you know, and it's the only program that I that sells on Friday because it's not a stupid, crazy program. You know what I mean? It's not a program where you're going to start tomorrow by drastically changing your reading. I know that's what you've been taught your whole life and I know that's part of what part of you wants to do just so you can do some crazy shit and lose weight quick. But it just doesn't last. You know, Once you start to realize this, you start to realize that the reason you're not getting the results you want is because you keep doing the same ineffective strategy over and over of making some gigantic commitment to changing all of your eating all at once. And then you can't stick with it and you quit. You go back to what you always did. You always go back to what you always did because everything you do to try and lose weight is just a band aid. It's just a temporary fix. Tell me it's not you. Tell me the diet you've done that has helped you change your mindset, your lifestyle and your eating strategically. Just go ahead and write it in the comments. Tell me the diet you've done where you've changed your mindset. And I know I'm not going to see a single answer because there's not a program out there. I've seen. I don't know, maybe there's a bunch of programs out there that help you change your mindset to live like a thin healthy person that I haven't heard of. I mean, it's a big world out there, but I've been doing this for a long time. So if I'm missing a program that you know about that helps you change your mindset in order to live as a thin healthy person, please share it with us. I will read it out loud. I don't give a. I, I'm happy, I'm happy to, to read out these Programs that help you change your mindset. So there's either programs out there that I've never heard about or you don't think your mindset matters when it comes to your weight. And if you think your mindset doesn't matter when it comes to your weight, oh, I wish you the best and I really do. Again, I want to make crystal clear and sometimes I sound a little aggressive here. I this is a mission for me. This is a mission. Absolutely. This is the mission of my life, is to help as many people as possible live at their goal weight. This is why I'm here every Monday through Friday noon Easter. I've been doing this now for the podcast for over three years. Every Monday through Friday, I'm here for you all. So yes, I do have a program which I am selling at a discount today and you will get a signed copy of the book. If you sign up today. I will actually put a link for that. You can go to program yourself then.com to do that. But I'm going to put this link if you are over in Facebook or YouTube land, I can put the link right in there. But yes, I'm doing run a special today that if anyone signs up today, I will give them a free signed copy of my physical book and I will be giving a digital copy away too. So if you go to program yourself then and you don't want to buy the program right now, that's fine too. You can go there and click a link. It says free hypnosis session. Go click that and go get it. I give you more free stuff than anyone so you can get that free hypnosis session. I give you a training. I got a report coming. I got a bunch of stuff coming. It's really cool. That is what I have been doing over the last week. I, I have been taking it easier but I also been working on the free stuff I'm going to be giving people. So anyways, that's there too. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask them and I apologize. Tick tock. I got the app attack there and I missed some questions. Yeah. Thank you, Karen. Karen sounded happy for my book. Thank you. It's back to front. Maintenance was my biggest hurdle, but got it down now. Nice job, Karen. Proud of you. Yeah, and I'm super proud of you because again, Karen stuck with it. She's been in the program. Geez, I think it's almost two years now. So you know that that's the thing is you get better. That that's what I'm trying to tell people. God Almighty. I talk about this all day long. Like, the. The diet mindset, it makes me so mad. I'm gonna stay calm today. But I get so mad about dieting mindset because it's so destructive. I mean, people literally dying, losing quality of life because of the dieting mindset. And part of that dieting mindset is that dieters usually, when you think about weight loss, you don't think about practicing weight loss. You don't think about getting better at it. You just think, I know what to do, and I just got to get myself to do it. Dieters typically think of weight loss as like a willpower exercise. And it's not. It's like anything else, you know, it's like if I want to play guitar and I want to learn a new song, you know, I can look at. I can understand it, I can see the structure of it. But at the end of the day, I just got to practice it. And as I practice it, I get better at it. And it's the same thing with weight. You know, it's like your weight is a reflection of your behaviors and your behaviors, you've practiced those. You know, you don't think of it as practice, but, you know, you've got your routines and your strategies and what you do now, and you do it all on autopilot. And so what we're looking to do, I look at it this way, that changing your weight really is about changing your behavior. And changing your behavior takes practice. Just like if you want to learn to play golf and you're going to practice your golf swing, I look at practicing my nighttime eating the same way I practice it. I go in with a plan, I execute, and then I review how I executed and improve and build on that, repeat, and just keep doing that. But if you keep doing that, you get better at things. And I find dieters never give themselves the space to do that. They never give them. Well, first of all, they never do it long enough to get better at it. But again, the diets aren't built to be practiced. They're framed as that, here's what to do. Just do it, you know, so there's really no concept or idea that you're going to improve and get better at something, you know, and so I think that when you. When you are able to get better at it, it's shocking. And that's what all my clients say, you know, is that they get better at things that they used to be bad at, and it's transformative. You know, Great job, Karen. Proud of you. Oh, look at that. So, Christina, how's it going? Happy New Year to you, too. We're almost right back on track. Giving myself another day of pleasure. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, great job. Yeah. Again, in the program, you know, we talk about a lot about that, this, you know, we go through the holidays and program yourself. Then we go through the holidays enjoying ourselves. So, you know what I mean? Like, that's the difference if, if, you know, when you go through the holidays, most dieters, they're gonna go through the holidays either white knuckling it, you know, terrified of every social event and every cupcake and every cookie that they're around, or they're just gonna say it, you know what I mean? Like, catch me in January. I. I can't even deal with this. And they completely. You just go off the reservation and program yourself. Then we say, okay, I want to enjoy myself as much as possible. And I know you dieters freak out when you hear that because you say, oh, my God, I'll eat everything. Well, that, that's because you understand the question. You, you think the most enjoyment you can get out of food is to eat all of it. I know you think that, but think about it for a second. When you overeat foods, how do you feel afterwards? Is that a pleasurable feeling? So we can't just look at the eating, right? I know the eating might be enjoyable, but there's always a consequence. So we got to take the consequence into account as well, don't we? So, again, we went through the holidays where, you know, if you put a couple pounds on during the holidays. I did. I put five pounds on, last I checked. In like two weeks, you know, that takes quite a bit of eating, you know, and. And I did it, but I enjoy myself and I. I save space for that. This is what I mean. See, dieters, it's like, it's so strict and rigid. There's no flexibility. Diets are not built for life, they're built for. And artificial, temporary overreaction is what diets are. And so the idea that we're going to, you know, diet forever is so silly. We can die during the holidays, you know, and you'll know it, because most, most dieters have zero. I don't. I just find it crazy. Most people have very little strategy that they're going to bring into the holidays, right? Again, they're either white knuckling it, terrified of every cookie they're around, or they're just putting it right out of their mind. Usually so there's one or the other, because dieting is an all or nothing philosophy. Program yourself then, is all or something. Dieting's all or nothing. And so it doesn't really lend itself to life very well because it's hard to be perfect in life, is it not, folks? So we need to have some flexibility. And we brought that flexibility into the holidays. And it's fun watching my clients thrive with that approach. It was fun watching me. I had a great holiday. And even though I'm five pounds heavier, do I. I hope I don't look nervous about that. Please tell me I don't look nervous about that, because I'm not worried about it. Because I know starting Monday, I'm gonna get myself right back on track where I was before the holidays. And I can't wait. I enjoyed myself. It was fun. Eating for two weeks, not caring. I enjoyed it enough, but. But I'm ready to. I'm done with it. I don't. I'm not enjoying it as much as I did the first week. All right. I bet a lot of you are feeling that way. Christ, you get to the first of the. The year, and it's like, holy for. For some people, it's been six weeks, you know, just, just, oh, my God. Gluttony and just, you know, sugar and all of it, you know, and alcohol and all that stuff. So, you know, I have two. And it's just, I. I can't wait to get back. I can't wait to my normal routine next week. I'm. I'm. I can't wait again you see me, though, but. But I enjoy myself. So again, this, to me, is the sweet spot of life. And being able to manage your. Your health and your happiness and your weight is to be able to have some flexibility, know how to kind of drive yourself through the process. And I think diets don't ever really teach you that, you know, Karen says, how does your program work? I'm not a reader. Is there a lot to read or is it audio? I can listen, but reading is a chore. Program Yourself Then is primarily an audio program. I would say. I would say first and foremost, program Yourself then is me speaking. That's the majority of Program yourself then. So that being said, there's three main components to program yourself then. So it starts with the two big ones, knowing what to do and knowing how to get yourself to do it. Okay, so knowing what to do is maybe I would say the most reading, but I wouldn't say it's reading because knowing what to do is really what the blueprint's all about. Okay, so the goal weight blueprint is your customized roadmap that you create to get to your goal weight and stay there. And as I said, we go through your mindset, your lifestyle and your reading. How to think, live and eat like a thin, healthy person. So I wouldn't say this isn't a book like a lot of reading. It's just, it's basically straight questions. You know, there's like a little bit of reading. Like I'll give you an example of what I mean. Okay, so, so for example, right, like say your motivation. We start with motivation because obviously that's really important, right? So we start with motivation. And you know, the motivation part is what are we talking about? Four pages, you know what I mean? But most of it's questions, so there's a little bit of context. And I love this blueprint. This is what I spent the first part of the year and I love it. But what ends up happening is this here I really wanted to be you just go through and fill it out. And so that being said, each section, right, so you can't tell here this is the printed out version, but you also get a PDF version of it. But so it's like this section here, you can just kind of read real quick and get an idea and answer the questions. But if you want to go deeper into it, there are video trainings for every section. So again, in the PDF you can click the link and it brings you right to the video. And then you can watch me. I do a whole lesson on motivation, breaking it down, going through the questions, walking you through the specific questions. So again, there's a, when I say audio, there's mostly audio. Audio, video. And then there's kind of like text is third place. So, okay, so we got the blueprint. Knowing what to do, how you get yourself to do is the program yourself. Then method, which is really based around a 60 second mental rehearsal technique. And I teach you that in a video in about. It's a 40 minute video, I think. But again it's really easy to do. It's built for beginners. It's a 60 second mental rehearsal technique you use at night. And so you learn how to use that right away. That's probably the core of the program. You start using that immediately and then you kind of work your way through the blueprint, you know what I mean? Figuring out what your roadmap's going to be, what you're going to do, and then the final piece is the hypnosis part of the program. And so this is. There's no hypnosis program on the planet like this because this is set up as an eight week program. So every morning you get a five minute hypnosis session, okay, for eight weeks, every day you get a five minute hypnosis session sent to you. Click on it, you go listen to it, all right? That's how you start your day. Now this is really important because every day you're starting calm, grounded, centered, turning your attention inwards, okay? And then at, at night you get another hypnosis session to listen to. But this one here, you get one every week. So this is the weekly session and this is the core, weight, limbs, mantra. This is a 10 minute session and you don't have to listen to it every night. You know, that would be ideal. But basically what happens is you're bookending your day. So you have a five minute session in the morning, a 10 minute session at night, if you want to listen to that. And if you listen to those, what happens is you start waking up in the morning with all this good stuff going in your head and you go to bed, drifting off to sleep with all this good stuff going in your head, right? There's also a hypnosis live with a bunch of specific sessions you may want to listen to. But this is the general plan of the whole program is that every morning and night you got the hypnosis session to listen to. Every night you use that 60 second mental rehearsal technique to reprogram your mind to be a thin, healthy person. And then you kind of work your way through the workbook and the blueprint so you have your own customized plan that you can use for the rest of your life. Again, what's important to understand is that once you identify the, once you identify your mindset, lifestyle, eating blueprints, what you need to think, how you need to live and how you want to eat to succeed, once you have that, you pretty much keep it forever. I mean, you'll still tweak it and optimize it as you move forward. But once you have that general information, you basically, that's the core of the work. So even like my blueprint, it's certainly evolved and transformed and tweaked over the years for sure, but the core of it's very similar, you know. So again, once you, to break down a little more detail, like once you figure out what truly motivates you because you learn how to motivate yourself, once you learn what your self image, your Ideal self image is, you know, that's really valuable. Once you understand what your habits are, you know, they're kind of holding you back and which ones will move you forward and how to change those and how to add new habits in and change ones that aren't helping you. Once you know how to deal with your emotions, I want, you know how to think like a thin, healthy person. I want you to know how to think in a way that's going to maintain your success moving forward. You know, it. That's like gold. I can't. Oh, you know what I mean? Like, like, it's just like solid gold having that. And obviously, and then we go through that with the lifestyle and the eating as well. So, yeah, there's not a lot of reading in the program. I wouldn't say so. I would say primarily the program is. Is audio. That's what I would say. But again, anyone that orders today, anyone that orders the program today, you will get this physical copy sent to you automatically. You don't have to do anything. You'll just get it sent. Yes, Christine, that's right. There's no finish line. Only a mental mind change. Yes. And forever. That's awesome. That is awesome. Shelly says your advice is brilliant. You have altered my mindset. Can't thank you enough. Well, thank you. Thank you, Chell. I appreciate that. Nancy said I told Chat GBT I plateaued and it corrected me and said you've stabilized. I like that. That's a good one. I love that. Yeah, Chat GPT is pretty good with some of that stuff. It's funny even in the program. That's another thing. I'm not going through everything in the program, but another aspect of the program is Jim AI, which is Jim AI is. Is a AI version of me. Right. Trained on 10 million words. And so when you get in the program, you basically. I know it sounds weird because you. You can't even believe. I gotta give you. I might too. This year, one of the things I may, may, may be able to do, I may be able to do is give everyone access to gym AI. We will see. You know, they've kind of changed some of the way it works and stuff. So it might be possible to give it to everyone. It would be so cool if you could because it is literally like talking to me. You can chat or you can literally talk like on a phone with it. With me. It sounds exactly like me and it coaches like me. It's really something else. But yes, that's just a little thing that goes with it. But I love that reframe. Yes plateau does. You've stabilized is wonderful. I've never heard that one. I might start using it it. I think people have a weird thing with plateaus anyways. You know we talk about that all the time but that's a good one. Thanks for sharing that, Nancy. Let's see here. So Kathy, Kathy says your book is amazing. Well, thank you Kathy. I appreciate it. You must be on the advanced reader team. Thank you very much for signing up for that. I really, really appreciate that. Again folks, this book here is my new book. I will be giving it away for free next week. So don't go and buy it or go join the program and I'll send you a physical copy of it. But yes, I will be giving this away next week. So get on my email list, go to programyourself then.com you can click the free hypnosis session and you can go get. I'll give you a free hypnosis session which is really good one. It's called the new thing me. It's a kickstart session that's free. I got a training 3 Steps to Mastering your weight. I will email you all next week to get your version, the Kindle version of this for free. I think you're gonna like it. It's a quite a book. I don't know. I'm hearing a lot of good stuff. You never know. You know what I mean? I have my ideas but I think this is really good. I've been doing this for a long time. I don't give a. I know this book's good. I. I've been doing this for so long. It's not like I just came up with some ideas and wrote them in a book. Let's see what people think. I've been teaching this non stop for 30 years. So I know it's really good and it's just. It came out awesome. It's really. It's a blast to read. I think so it's very exciting for me. My first real book. I mean the blueprint's a book too but. But this is my first book book. So thank you Cat. I really appreciate you reading it and being part of that. That advanced team. Thank you. Tabby Cat said I managed to only gain 0.6 pounds through the holidays. Not too bad. No regrets. Nice job Tabby Cat. That. Yeah. Enjoy the holidays myself too. Happy New Year. Wonderful. Wonderful. No, that's super. And again, you know, that's another thing. I just want to make that point real quick. Is that, you know, I think you should all be thinking about your weight in, like, range. I, I think having a specific number as a goal weight is such a mistake because your weight fluctuates no matter what, it's going to fluctuate. And I think when you get so obsessed with one single number, you're just setting yourself up for a lot of stress, you know. So I think you should all think in terms of a range. I would suggest three to five pounds minimum, you know, and again, depends where you're at. You know what I mean? People that are, you know, more on the obese side of it might want to have a five to ten pound range perhaps. You know, different bodies are different flashlights. Wait, that's weird. So, yeah. So anyways, great job, though. Yeah, 0.6. That. There you go. That's basically. That's no weight gain is what that means. That means in my world that I would. That would be me. I didn't gain any weight. See, that's the problem, though. People got like. I don't know. I mean, I think scales. I think scales that are. They're so, so specific, you know, I don't know what I think about those. But anyways, great job, tabby cat. That's again, you enjoyed yourself and you stayed in control. Wonderful, wonderful. Now he says, I'm going to check it out. Nice. Yeah, check it out. I think, yeah. That's why I say, like, again, and I, I make it absolutely. I want to make this crystal clear. And those of you that know me know this anyways, but I make it very intentional not to make this a pitch session for my program. I want to be crystal clear about that. Today's probably the one day I kind of pitch a little bit just because I know it's New Year's. And like I said, I think, okay, well, so. So someone said, okay, well, it's a commitment. Look, like. Well, obviously, like, committing to program yourself then is a great example of that. But. But that's not the only one. I mean, you could commit. I can't imagine anyone who does this, but you could. Literally, you could, you could commit to Jenny Craig. It's a. It's hard for these, this mouth to say that. It's so ridiculous to me. But what I mean, though, is that you could. Oh, God, you could. You could order Jenny Craig's trash for three months. That's a. That's an example of a commitment. Not. Not a smart one, I don't think. Not an effective one, I don't think, ultimately. But but that's what I mean though. It's like, okay, well now you're, you're on the hook three months, so now you're going to do it most likely for three months. So again, that's the one reason why I do kind of pitch this a little bit on January 1st. Because you don't have to be perfect the next three days. You know, that's gonna, that's gonna do more people than anything this year. You know what I mean? Is that a lot of people are gonna want to the new year, new me, I'm ready to do it. And then they're like, oh, the first. Because it gotta be the first. They're really between, oh, you're all feeling this, I don't know, you all feeling this, that it's like you're between, like, oh, hey, it's the first, it's the first day of the year. But, but it's Thursday, it's not Monday, right? So it's like you're feeling that battle between the first and it's not Monday, you know, So I would suggest most people will do better off if they start officially on Monday. Okay, but, but then people's heads, it's not the all or nothing thing, right? And you're feeling that most likely you're, you're literally experienced firsthand that all or nothing mentality. Because the idea is starting on Monday, feeling, what's the point? I already missed four days. And if you think that I'm not judging you, I just, it's funny though, right? It's there, it's there for a lot of people that, oh, it's a, oh, I start Monday, I already missed four days. You know, it's funny how our brains work. And then some people are going to try and start today, but then it's Thursday, you know, so again, program yourself. That is, is an intelligent choice in my opinion because that you're just part of the program. So, you know, you can start doing it today. You made a choice, you made a decision, you made a commitment today that's going to be with you there. And by the way, program yourself thins forever. So you'll have program yourself then for the next year, you know, for the next hundred years. But it's like you'll have it for the next year, you know, and the next eight weeks you'll be in it. And no matter what, whether you, this is the difference with program yourself then in a diet is with a diet, the second you make a mistake in your reading, you're really close to quitting with program yourself then if you make a mistake, you just listen to the next day's session. You do the, the program yourself then technique, use the reading rehearsal technique, and you, you know, you fix it. I don't know if that means anything to you, but so we, we would program yourself then. We know you're going to make mistakes and we're prepared for that. Right. With dieting, it really is kind of built around this idea that you're going to be perfect. You know, that's what diets are built around this idea that you're going to be perfect. All of a sudden. I don't know. You know, Lois, I see what you're writing. I'm gonna work on that. I'm gonna get that set. I, I did see, I did see that, that, that request. So let me give me. I don't even know what's happening. I have no idea how that's happening. But let me look into it, Lois, and I'll get that fixed for you. All right. Well, Happy New Year, Maggie. Maggie's Happy New Year. Thank you for all your advice and knowledge. You're welcome. Thank you for being here. Hope you're having a nice holiday yourself. Nice new Year. Natalie says is there a link in your profile? There is. And that will bring you. What does that do? The link in my profile will give you the free hypnosis session. So if you're on Tick Tock, I'm gonna try and write this in there. I don't know if I can. I never do this. I gotta like, Oh, well, there is a link. Yeah, go check. I'll probably send another link out. Yeah. So, okay, so here's what I would suggest. If you're on. I put the, the link to program yourself then and Facebook and YouTube. But if you're on Tick Tock, you can click the link in my bio. The picture me up on the top left, go click that link and then go get the hypnosis session. I give you, it's free. And there's a training. I give you, it's free. All that stuff's for free. And if you do that, I will send another email out to tonight just reminding people if they want to join the program. If they're. If they want to join the program, I discounted it. And if anyone joins today, I'm going to be giving them. Let me send them a physical copy of the book. Okay, so get that too. And I'll be sending it out. So it'll get to you right away. But I will be giving away for free, too. So I just want y' all to know that. So I will be giving this away for free Sunday through Thursday, the Kindle version. Okay. But if anyone joins the program today, I will send them a physical version. So you can go check that out. Christina says your book is amazing, and I'm not even finished reading it yet. That's awesome. I'm glad, Christina. Yeah, a lot of people like it. I'm telling you. I think it's good. I think it's a good book. I think it's a good book. I love it. I. I don't know. Is that a good sign? I mean, I've read this book 500 times now, but all the lantern. That's what Jody said. It's one of her favorite chapters, the lantern. Oh, man, it's so good. I can't wait that my voice is coming back too. I can't wait to record the audio version. So I'll figure out how I'm doing that. But if you buy the book, I'll. If you buy the book. I don't know. I gotta figure out how I'm gonna do that. I don't know. Like, that's one part I gotta, like, research a little bit more because I don't want to do it for audible, but maybe. I don't know. Anyways, who cares? User883 says you never overeating. I'm overeating. I've been overeating for the last two weeks. I overeat all the time. I don't. I don't mean to say it that way, but I overeat regularly. I make mistakes. I'm. I personally am never perfect with my eating. Very rarely. There's always little issues, mistakes. I don't know. Like, again, folks, and I. But I've been in my goal weight for 30 years. Let it be known. So my main message to you is that you do not need to be perfect to lose weight and to live at your goal weight. You don't need to be perfect. No, you don't. And so I think that, you know, realizing that is really helpful. No, but I overeat regularly, you know, a lot less than I used to, I will tell you that. But, yeah, I still overeat here and there. I've been. In the last week, two weeks. I've been overeating pretty consistently, I would say. Oh. And I'm excited for it to end. I. I will tell you. I. So let's just talk about that real quick, because I think that that can be helpful as well, is that when you make a mistake, whether you overeat or whether you choose the wrong foods, right. Anytime you kind of do the wrong thing, you can get a lot of value out of that. Because when I do the wrong thing, I pay attention to how I feel. I pay attention to the consequence. There's three phases of eating. There's anticipation, consumption, consequence. And we have been conditioned in our society to only focus on anticipation and consumption. Every single commercial we've seen our entire lives is really about the anticipation of the food and then the eating of the food. Right? And then we just kind of, you know, ignore the rest. But if you start paying attention to consequence, that's one of the most powerful ways to change your eating. And I've been paying a lot of attention to consequences the last couple weeks here. You know, when I overeat, I pay attention to it. When I consistently overeat, I pay attention to it. It. And what do I notice? Well, what I notice is that, well, I've been feeling a lot fuller, and I don't really like it because when I feel a lot fuller, I feel a lot heavier. I feel more sluggish. I feel less energized. I feel heavier even beyond just the weight, you know what I mean? Like, and I put a couple pounds on, but it's different than that. It's before any of the weight even changes. I just feel heavier. There's just more food in me. My body feels more globbed up, you know? And then as it goes on, I start to notice my. My. I have osteoarthritis. My hands, right? So my. I notice my hands start to hurt a little bit more. I notice my back hurts. I notice I'm not as flexible. I notice I'm more sore. I know I'm going to want to go to bed later. I get up late, you know what I mean? So it's like I notice this chain reaction of negative consequences. But I don't beat myself up for it, though, either. That's the secret. It. I'm not beating myself up about it. I'm noticing and paying attention to it. And I'm storing it away. I'm basically Pavlovianly conditioning myself. And this is the way humans operate. I will let you know, I don't give a how smart you are, okay? At the end of the day, you basically make associations just like Pavlov's dogs, right? It's like, again, the bell. The bell got nothing to do. The bell's got nothing to do with saliva and salivating, right? But when you link the bell up with the food, all of a sudden in the dog's brain they get linked up and eventually the bell that has nothing to do with saliva all of a sudden is making the dog salivate. Okay? So the same thing's going on with us. And for most people the association they have with weight loss is a very negative one. Right? Because most people, when they think about weight loss, they think about, oh, I've got to do really extreme, you know, and so they, they think about weight loss, they think about struggle, misery, boredom, failure, stress, all this bad stuff and they avoid it. We avoid things we don't like, we avoid pain, move towards pleasure. But when I make mistakes with my food, what I'm doing is I'm using the same thing, but I'm using for my benefit. And so I overeat, I don't beat myself up, I sit with the feeling, I feel full, I feel lethargic, I feel sore, I feel tired, I feel weaker. I haven't done any push ups in two weeks, you know, and you know, so, but, but I link those together so that next week I'm already, I'm so excited for Monday. I'm excited to feel lighter, I'm excited to be back to my normal routine now. I'm not looking for next week to be a perfect week. Let it be known, I don't expect that Monday's gonna come and I'm gonna go jump right back into where I was four weeks ago with my eating. Just so you know. Could it magically happen? Sure. Could I force it to happen? Sure. For a little while. But I, what I will do is I think in terms of like light switches instead of switches. Well, no, I'm just going to flip all my perfect switching on, my eat, my perfect eating on. What I'm going to do is I'm going to, I think in dimmer dial switches, I'm going to dial up the healthy food, I'm going to dial down the unhealthy stuff. Okay, does that make sense? So I'm going to start to again for me, I've got a structured way of eating so I'm make sure I dial up, make sure I got my fruit ready to go, make sure I got my salads ready to go, make sure I get the healthy stuff ready to go. And as far as the unhealthy stuff, I work to move it out and to reduce it, right? Because there's still some stuff and that's going to be there I don't think I'm going to be perfect. I've been eating sugar, I've been eating bread, I've been eating bullshit for two weeks now. So I know cravings are going to be strong next week. So it's like if I'm not perfect, I'm okay with that. I suggest you all this, this is actually a gift from my, a client, he used to call it re entry week. And we would talk about this like we went on vacation, we would talk about a re entry week. And sometimes it can be a re entry couple of weeks, there's nothing wrong with that. Folks, please, please hear this because you're all going to deal with this next week. If you care about your weight and you're going to make some committed effort to change it, you're going to hit as soon as you start to do it. Maybe the first day I'll go, great, you're so fired up. But you know, the next day it's harder. You got the sugar coursing through your body, all this other stuff. I've been eating bread non stop for two weeks. Oh, I'm just going to stop eating bread next week maybe, but I doubt it. And so what I will do instead is I will wean the bread down again. I got this dimmer switch mentality in my head, which is so valuable because most of you dieters only have this flip switch. You're either doing something 100% perfect, you're not doing it at all. That is such a stressful way to live. So for me, and by the way, this also, this sets me up for success next week even if I'm not perfect. You see the difference in that mindset. The way I look at next week is I just want to do better than I did this week. So for me to do better next week, even if I ate the same amount of bullshit, if I added my fruit and salads back in, I would consider it a win. If I start going to bed more in my normal times, I'd consider it a win and I get that in there. And then the next week I'd focus more on dialing down some of the unhealthier stuff. But dieters won't accept that. Right, dieters. If it's not perfect next week, then what's the point, you know? And it's like, man, it just bums me out so hard because it's such. A. Dieting is such a broken mindset, you know, and you really see it. That's why I'm here today, because I find January 1st is really when the, the most broken diet mindsets come out of the woodwork, you know? So anyways, though, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Yes, Lois agrees. Getting back on track and giving yourself grace is a lot better than quitting. Yes, Lois, I think I love the way you just put that. Yeah. Giving yourself grace and getting back on track is. Is way better than quitting. I think that's perfect. And that's the option, right? Because most dieters, there's. Oh, if I'm not doing it perfectly, what's the point? Well, the point is that you're doing better, you know. Oh, makes me nuts. The all or nothing mindset of a dieter. And again, I don't blame. I'm not picking on the dieter. Please understand this. I love the diet or hate the diets. We've all been conditioned by diets our entire lives, folks. Like, literally, we have been just bombarded with weight loss marketing from diet companies our entire lives, all of us. So that we all think like dieters on some level. And one of the core paradigms of dieting is this all or nothing mindset. And that all or nothing mindset is such a bunch of, you know, you look at the most important areas of your life, you're not all or nothing. Your kids, you're gonna be all or nothing, are you? No, you're not. You're not gonna be all or nothing. You got good days and bad days. You're always gonna be a parent, though, right? You look. Oh, I'm a bad parent. I didn't do good today. So for. I didn't. I didn't get up early enough to make you breakfast. So now, oh, forget. I'm just not gonna make any more food for rest of the week. Week. Do you know what I mean? Like, no. Oh, whoops. Messed up. Let me take care of this now. You know what I mean? You adjust, you get backtrack quickly. Work. Oh, my God. I woke up late to go to work off it. I'm just not gonna go the rest of the week. Huh? You know what I mean? Like, things that really are important in life, you can't be all or nothing with, you know, things that go on long term. You can't be all or nothing. You're gonna have good days, you're gonna have bad days. And I think we got to internalize that and accept that and build around that, you know, because otherwise, yeah, we're just going to quit. And that's what most dieters do. They're either 100 on or they just quit. We've got to stop that. That framework, it's not, it's not conducive to success, as you can imagine. Flamingo says. What about gene size? Does that fluctuate too? I mean, you know, I guess. Suppose it could. Suppose it could. People are different, though, you know, I mean, like, that's, that's another really. I think a core message of program yourself then is that we're really building a one size fits one plan and system, right? Because everyone's unique and different. And so, boy, I can tell you this. I've been doing this personally for 30 years, professionally for over 20 years, but the difference in human bodies is just remarkable. And I think dieting kind of glosses over that and makes it seem like we're all the same and that if Susie down the street does the same diet I'm doing, we should lose the same amount of weight. Weight. But. But that's not how it works at all. If you go look up any metabolic lab studies, it's. It's so obvious, hits you right in the face that they will take a group of people in there and they will literally have the exact same calories in and out, and they'll lose drastically different amounts of weight over the time they're in there. So, you know, people are just different and unique. And we have to realize that and kind of move forward with that understanding, you know, that we're a unique being and we're going to figure out what works for us, what are our challenges, what are our strengths, right? And how can we make this work for us. And so some people, their weight shows up in their genes, you know, I mean, like some people where they put a little bit of weight on, it goes right, right into their. The part of their genes that makes them fit or not fit. You know what I mean? So again, if that's your case and that's your situation, then, you know, recognize that and then move forward accordingly. Karen says do audible. All right, yeah, audible. I, I gotta look into that. I, I don't. I kind of. I looked into it real casually, but I gotta kind of check out again the whole audiobook thing. But I am set up to do it. I. So, yeah, and I can't wait. And I'm gonna do it because I'm a hypnotist. I can't wait. I mean, it was writing this book. I was writing this book book to me, you know, each one of these. Because the way the book's written, it's like it's. They're short. I modeled this after the Dao De Jing and I wanted to be something that could be read easily, quickly, repeatedly. And so. So I like this. But to me, you know, I mean, like this is a two page chapter and most the chapters are two pages in that ballpark average two pages. But I look at each one as kind of like a hypnosis session. So anyways, I can't wait to the audio for it and I think I never really say too quick, but I imagine that the audio version of the book will be done somewhere in the middle of January. If I had to guess that's. I'm going to guess that. Don't hold me to that exactly. But that's what I think. So. But anyways, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them. I hope you're all going to have a wonderful new year here. Right, but what are your big questions? Are people. I don't, I don't know. Like, I've had a ton of conversations this year, but where are people at? Because I know it is, is it is Thursday. Are y' all starting your plan? What. What are people thinking? Give me, give me some. Just give me a word or two. What. What's your plan this year? You don't give a. Yeah, you do care. Keto Intermittent Fasting GLP1 what are we doing? Anyone got any ideas? Maggie? Mace says my boyfriend used to get upset that I quit eating what he eats. Bacon, pork chop steak, chocolate bars, pop. I took over grocery shopping and buy all healthy foods. Now he eats healthy too. That's great. Yeah. You know, and that does bring up an important point though that, that I find again, dieting really does not address well is that you know, when you're gonna. Changing your weight requires you to change your reading and your behavior. And that's usually going to affect people that you're really close to in your life. It can affect rapport with your partner, with your kids, with your parents, with your friends, with your family, with your co workers. Right. When you change how you eat feels weird. You know, we gotta, we gotta account for that. And I think a lot of times dieting just glosses over that. So what? Just do it. Just do it. You know, just do it. But. But it's really important, you know, as well, obviously. So great job, Maggie. That's a big accomplishment to take over the shopping and then buy healthier stuff. You know, that's how you kind of get them to be part of the process. So I'm glad that worked. Out for you. Judy says my New Year's resolution is to just be more in control of what I'm putting my mouth. All right, that's a good resolution, but it doesn't seem like a very well thought out plan. And I say that to you out of care. Please understand. I take that. No out, though, here. And this is kind of what I mean, though. Unless this is the first time ever that you are intending to be more in control of what you're putting in your mouth. I always say, like, if you have never made the intention or the resolution to be more in control what you put in your mouth, but you've just. If you're a person who's never thought that in your life, like, you never said, hey, you know what? I should actually start paying attention to what I put in my mouth. More. Like, if you. If you've never thought that, then go for it. Okay? Because we don't know. It might work, might not. But most people that have said that have said that thousands of times that I'm gonna just. I'm gonna be more in control. I'm Pay more attention to what I mean. I'm. Make better choices. And if you've said that a lot and you're saying it again, e. That's, you know, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing, expecting a different result. So I just say that again. Please understand. It comes from a place of love and caring, but it's important that we recognize the mistakes we typically make. And sometimes, if you feel like if this is the 15th year in a row, you're about to start Weight Watchers, it might be. It might be time to take a step back and. And evaluate what you keep doing. You know, Mariana says I'm scared of GLP1, but maybe I should try. Yeah. I mean, the GLP1s, you know, like, I. You know, I'm in a different world with that. I. I'm not. I'm not. I have people in the program that use GLP1, so I'm not. I'm not gonna say a bunch of about it, but I do think that the. For me, anyways, the. The shine's coming off. The. The petals are coming off the rose, if you. If you will. You know, I think I've said this literally since the first day of GLP1s for weight loss, is that we've been in the phase of GLP1s that's really been controlled by the pharmaceutical companies, so we're only getting the positive stories, you know, but, you know, they Just came out. I just read, literally read a report today that people will use them even though they're extremely, you know, experiencing a lot of adverse effects. You know, and I think there's, it makes me, it reminds me that just dieters in general will do crazy. This is the problem with weight loss in America and diets is that people will do crazy to lose weight, and while they're losing weight, they don't care that they're doing crazy. Do you understand? You've all done this, and you've all known people have done this. You've done crazy, and while you're doing it, you're like, oh, no, it's great. It's so great. Oh, not eating for 16 hours. I've never felt better. I feel amazing. Not eating for six hours. Oh, not eating any carbs. Oh, my God, I feel so amazing. I haven't had a carb in three weeks and I could not feel. I've never felt this good in my life, you know, Count my points. Oh, my God, I've counted every point. I, I, it's a, I just, just do it now. I just, it's just automatic. I don't, I just count my points again. Listen, I get it, I get it, okay? But what I'm trying to say is that a lot of times when people are losing weight, they can justify anything. And so what's going on with GLP ones? Let it be known when GLP1s are gonna work, you feel full at best and you feel a little bit nauseous at worst. That's how GLP1s work is they, they crank up your aversion system. You know, when you feel nauseous, when you feel sick, I don't want to, I don't feel that good. That's how you feel to just below that, where you just feel really full. So now imagine going through your life feeling really full or kind of nauseous. Think about that life once the weight loss stops. See, because this is what I know about dieters is that when they're losing weight, they don't give a, they don't give a what's going on. I feel like I'm gonna die. Don't care. I'm losing weight. Don't care. Feel like I'm gonna pass out. Don't care. Don't care. I'm losing weight. Doesn't matter to me. Don't care. So the last person in the world I'm ever going to listen to or even begin to trust is someone who's to able actually Losing weight right now, I don't listen to those people because they're. They're basically on drugs. They're on drugs. They're on weight loss drugs, all right? They're on stepping on the scale, losing weight, getting a, you know, boost of dopamine drugs, you know, so they're not to be listened to and trusted. I'll tell you when I'll start listening to GLP1 people. When they've been on those GLP1s for 2, 3, 4 years and they haven't lost weight in 2, 3, 4 years and they're still on them, then I will listen to them. Because the big thing I think, with the GLP1s is, is that how you want to live your life? You tell me, folks. You tell me you want to go through the rest of your life never having a special birthday dinner, enjoying food on vacation, making your favorite dessert? Is that how we want to go through? Oh, no, I still enjoy it. No, you don't enjoy it. You feel nauseous and sick. That's why you're not eating. That's why you've lost weight. Congrats. I'm glad you lost weight. I. I'm happy that you lost weight. But don't sit here and tell me that you enjoy food as much. No, you don't. No, you don't. You don't give a. Because you're losing weight, and that's really important to you right now. I respect that. I understand it. But again, what I'm talking about that's different than all the diets is that diets are talking about losing weight. I'm talking about living at your goal weight. And I'm going to give you something else. Program yourself. Then we take the weight loss and rapid and personal development because the weight loss ain't enough anyways. So in program yourself, then. It's not just about being a certain weight. It's about being the best version of yourself possible. And when you're at your best, what do you weigh? So we reframe it. So the weight's not the most important thing. The most important thing is you being the best version of yourself. And I don't know. I know for a fact that I personally would not want to go through life not being able to look forward to a fresh sourdough loaf or my favorite dinner or my favorite dessert or some special dinner for an anniversary or some celebration meal. I. Food is one of the most pleasurable things in my life. I don't want to stop enjoying food. And this is what most people never think about, it's why most dieters struggle. But listen, there's a thing called the hedonic adaptation. And if you've ever bought a new car, and it doesn't have to be a brand new car, but I'm talking about when you ever got a new car, think about how excited you are about that car the first month or two, right? It's like, holy shit. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Right? But eventually it just becomes your car. We normalize to it. And the same thing happens with weight. And this is what's gotten all you dieters into trouble, because when you're losing weight, you think to yourself, oh, my God, this is so awesome. Once I get to my goal weight, I'm gonna be so fired up and excited that I'm gonna just stay there. But it never happens for people, because what happens for most dieters is they trade the fun, the excitement and the pleasure of the food for the excitement and the pleasure of the scale going down, right? So it. I'm not gonna eat food anymore. But then you need to have that scale, right? You shift your attention from fixated on food to fix it on a scale going down. And what this is all about, it's all about dopamine, right? That's what's driving all this. And so we, we, we detach our dopamine from the food and we attach it to the scale going down, but eventually the scale stops going down. So now where are you getting your excitement and pleasure from? From. And I hear, I can hear what you're saying. You're saying from being thin. Jim, if that was true, though, if being thin for a dieter was exciting and motivating enough, then why do 83 to 95% of dieters that lose weight put it back on? Why did you put it back on? I don't know. You know, there it is. Ella just said that I do love food just as much. Just can't eat as much. I do love food as much. That's not true. That's not true. Ella says, how about not think about any of this ever again and having a small shot once a week? I, I mean, I, I respect that, but it's. That's not an accurate representation. That's not. That's not accurate, you know, because, yeah, you're having a small shot. I don't disagree that you're getting a small shot. That's relatively easy. I don't disagree with that. But it's not just a small shot. It's a small shot. That's dramatically changing your biochemistry, and it's making you feel full all the time. You tell me, folks, you've all been full before. How good is food when you're really full? How much do you enjoy food when you're really full? Do you enjoy food when you're hungry or when you're really full? Which is more enjoyable? So imagine going through your life for the rest of your life feeling full. How much you ever gonna enjoy food again? And I know when you're, when you're overweight, you say, I don't give a. I just want to lose weight. Jim, that's fine. But talk to me after you've been at the same weight for a little while now, you think of the rest of your life, and you're never gonna enjoy food the way you used to. What do you think of that? Yeah, I'm not, I'm not disagreeing that your life's improved. I, I absolutely. If someone is, is. It doesn't. I'm not gonna say what range. But if someone's overweight to obese and they start taking GLP1 and they lose weight, most likely their health markers are gonna go up. They're starting to feel better. It can be a tremendous quality life improvement for them while they're losing weight. I, I wouldn't ever disagree with that. What I'm saying is I'm gonna be curious about the GLP1 when people start to get two, three, four years into it. First of all, you only lose weight for 16 months on GLP1s. You get 16 months of weight loss, and then that's where you're going to be. So if you're morbidly obese, there's a very good chance you're going to end up obese forever. That's that. Okay. But while the weight's coming off, I get. People are all excited about it. You know what I mean? I understand that. But at the end of the day, and by the way, please, as well, Ella, I want you to understand that I know most people don't want anything to do with, With Program yourself, then. I just want to make that crystal clear. Program yourself then is not for most people right off the bat. I say that loudly and proudly. I want you all to know that I'm not trying to sneak anyone into the program. I'm trying to prevent you from joining because I don't want to deal with people. It's not a good fit for. That's part of the reason I do this all the time. Talking to people but what I'm saying is, my people that join the program and do well are overthinkers, perfectionists, overachievers. That's just who they are. And so it's built for them. Okay, but they want to think about all this. They want to think about all this because they want to master it genuinely. And I say this all the time, but I will put the success stories from Program Yourself Then against the success stories of GLP1s, and the success stories that Program Yourself then are dramatically more impressive. Why? Because they no longer need to take a little shot once a week, which is minimizing language. They no longer need to pay for a little shot once a week. They can enjoy food. They can feel a sense of control over their mind, an improved lifestyle, an eating structure that's com. That's built specifically for them. They become a better version of themselves. They take control of their weight, their thoughts, and their behaviors, and they figure out how to do this forever. And so there's. In my opinion, there's no question, you know, I mean, that's a superior path, but it's not for most people because it's harder. It's absolutely harder to do Program Yourself than. Well, I don't know. I struggle with that. But I will say, on the surface, it's easier just to get a little shot once a week than it is to fill out your blueprint. You know what I mean? Understand how to program your mind. Listen to a hypnosis session. Granted, I get that. But I want to see where people are 2 years, 4 years, 5 years, 10 years. I don't know, you know, but everyone gets to choose what they want to do. You know, Let's see. Allison says statement that really helped me, and that is that a belief is just a decision. Total game changer for me. Oh, absolutely, Allison. I love that. Thanks for sharing that. Yes, a belief is just a decision, but the just word gets me a little bit because it's a decision that most of the time, a belief is a decision, but it's a decision we usually have made without even realizing it, and it's a decision we don't even realize we've made. You know, so in Program Yourself, then a huge part of the eating process, the very first part, you'll see there's awareness. So, so much of Program Yourself then is built around the idea that we need to become more aware. The way our brain's set up is we have a conscious, a subconscious mind. We're basically built to run on autopilot, which is A way to say that we're really unaware of most of the things that we think and do and feel. It's estimated we make over 200 food decisions a day. Right. Most of those are happening outside of your awareness. So so much of, of in my opinion of change begins with becoming aware of where we're at now before we can change it. But, but I love that. I think that's a great, great saying. What's up, Joan? How's it going? That'll be New Year gym. It's gonna be good. It is gonna be good. Yeah. We're set up, set up. There's cherry. Don't do GLP1. I just watched my friend at a dinner who is off of it and shade like she's never eaten in her life. Yeah, I mean, I don't say again, I'm not here to be negative. So I don't, I don't want to go to the negative stuff of GLP1 that's going to do its own. I'm not even. This is. Listen folks, I want to be crystal clear. I would love, I would love if they came out with a GLP one that was just natural, easy, automatic, worked amazing and was just amazing fit. I would tell you all to take it. I close up shop with Program yourself then and do something else. I, I could, I love, love, love teaching personal development. So, so I would gladly, gladly if something better than program yourself then came out. I would tell you tomorrow and I would close up shop and go. GLP1 in my opinion is not that thing. That's just, I'm just gonna say that, okay? And I think we're gonna start seeing that more and more because GLP1 has a 16 month weight loss frame. Okay? No one knows this and we are right about now approaching that 16 month mark for a lot of people. Okay? So GLP1's been around, right around, right around a year and a half, two years now. So we're gonna start to get a bunch of people are Gonna hit that 16 month mark and what that means is they're going to get to the point where they are still taking a little injection for a lot of money. They're still feeling nauseous. They're still all this. But now the weight loss is going to stop. That's what I'm curious to see when the weight loss stops. I want to see how people feel about GLP1s. I know it's exciting when you're losing weight. You have to understand that folks, you have all done crazy shit to lose weight. Have you not. I know everyone here at some point has done some crazy plan to lose weight. How'd you get yourself to do it? Because you kept watching the scale go down and it kept you motivated and kept you doing it. And when the scale stopped going down, even though you'd lost weight, you're at a lower weight, you couldn't keep it up. You couldn't keep the motivation up. And I'm curious to see the GLP one when people stop losing weight and everyone stops losing weight after 16 months. Once you stop losing weight, I am curious to see how people feel about it a year later, two years later, three years later, when all of a sudden you're going through. It's just, it's, it's. It reminds me of the antidepressants a little bit in the sense that I remember Prozac. And I said, well, it makes you feel less depressed. And it's like, well, actually it makes you feel everything a little less. You know what I mean? And so, hey, losing weight has all sorts of health benefits and great stuff to it too. So I Love that about GLP1s. What I'm curious to see is how people feel about living their lives feeling full, feeling natural, you know, kind of nauseous all the time, so that they never enjoy food the way they used to. That's what I'm curious about. Because our number one addiction in life is food. You understand? We. We are literally, we are biological organisms designed to be obsessed with food. We have, we have so much of our brain, so much for our biology, so much for our hormones. All of this stuff is, is wired right around food. So I don't know what it's like to live a life where you just don't enjoy food anymore. I don't know. I just don't know. Then there's the emotional side of it. Anyways, there's a lot of questions. I'll just leave it there. I don't think it's as clean cut as people make it sound. That's my thoughts on it. Yeah. Jones says they make the GLP one so enchanting. They do, but I, I just think that that's. We'll see. We'll see. You know, again, they're too new right now. GLP1s have been studying for over 20 years, but they've been studying with diabetics. And to be honest, with the weight loss piece, it's for, for way. For people that don't have diabetes and used primarily for weight loss. It's A new thing and the people using it are basically the studies right now, so. Hi, from New Zealand. Thank you for sharing your tick tocks. Thank you. You're welcome. Hi, from New Zealand. And I get a lot of. I get a lot of Australian people. I get a fair amount of New Zealand people. Green Eye Blonde says it doesn't have anything to do with willpower either. It's more discipline. Agreed. Maria Rihanna says, I've heard a lot of cases of nausea with GLP1 and hair loss. I haven't heard of hair loss, but I definitely have seen. I definitely have seen. Nausea. Yeah, the nausea is a big deal. Ella says Retta is awesome. I still love food and I feel amazing. Well, it's great. I'm glad you found something that's working for you. I haven't heard of Reddit either, so maybe that's some new one that does something. But I, I. You don't still love food, though? The same. Do you know what I mean? Like, it's just like, we got to stop that part. That's the part that's not true. And that's. I just can't accept it. I don't believe that if you loved food as much as you always did, you'd be eating food as much as you always did. Did you know and you can't tell me now because that's how the medicine works. A lot of people don't realize this. My favorite part of the GLP1, I will say the thing I love the most about GLP1s is it proves without a shadow of a doubt that the reason you weigh what you weigh is because you're consuming a certain amount of calories. And a lot of people have kind of like this subconscious resistance to accepting that. But your weight is a reflection of the calories you consume. And we know this now for a fact because we've seen people on GLP1s across the board, lose weight. Weight. Why? It doesn't make your metabolism faster. It makes you feel nauseous and not hungry and indifferent to food, and so you eat less food and then you lose weight. So you. How are you going to love food as much as you always did and then just eat less of it and lose weight? That's just not true. You know what I mean? You feel different about food. You think differently about it. It's great when you're losing weight. I'm happy for you. You probably feel better, you're lighter, your health markers will improve. All that stuff's great. I'm not taking any of that away from you. But I, I just, I don't believe, and I don't think, I don't think you're lying to me. I think you believe it yourself. I think I've seen folks, have we not all seen dieters, that themselves and everyone around them when they're doing crazy stuff to lose weight? How many times you all heard, how many times have you said, or heard someone say, I've never felt better on my keto plan. I've never felt better than when I stopped eating carbs. Have you said that? Have you heard someone say it only to start eating carbs a month or two later? You know, like it wasn't true. It wasn't true, folks. They didn't feel great not eating carbs. They didn't feel great. They felt great losing weight. Do you get this? I don't know if people understand what I'm saying here. It's, it's, I just don't know, you know, says I do love food just as much, just can't eat as much. Yeah, but that's what I don't think people realize because again, most people, we're listening to people on GLP1s. Everyone on GLP1 since they've been out is losing weight. Well, you know, either that or, you know, it works, whatever, 88, 75% of people successfully losing weight on GLP1s is amazing. I mean, it's an amazing medicine. Okay? But those 75% of people are, since they've been on, have been actively losing weight. And when people are actively losing weight, they're not genuinely in their experience. Do you understand that? Does that make sense? So we won't know how they really feel about their eating and food and all the rest until the weight loss stops for like a couple months to a year. Then we'll get a real sense of how they feel living life. Hope that makes sense. Karen says, I Wonder why the doctor who has the £600 TV show, why he doesn't prescribe the GLP1s even for three months since they are morbidly obese and need some weight off before they can begin the 1200 calorie diet. I can see why they fail on the 1200 calories. Pure deprivation. Yeah. Again, I mean, I don't know. It's the whole weight thing in our culture. I, I, I, again, that's, that's the book coming out after the next one and that's the one I'm most excited. I'm excited to get this one out. It's Pretty much, you know, it 80% finished. But the one after it is the one I'm really excited about. But it's the, the way we're, we're taught to think about weight loss has gotten so crazy that it's just, it's hard to even explain, you know, even to the point where you watch doctors who don't seem to know about weight loss. Well, again, it, we have to make the distinction, I think, between weight loss, the goal of losing weight, and living at your goal weight. I, I think that distinction is so crucial and I think it changes everything instantly. Because if we talk about weight loss, if we get someone £600 and they just want to lose weight, right? That's the epitome of it, you know, and so it's all about fast weight loss. So that's where we get to a 1200 calorie diet. Right? They're not expecting to live at a 1200 calorie diet forever. It's just to lose dramatically amounts, fast amounts of weight. And maybe they need to, maybe they should, maybe they have to. I don't know. Okay, but what I am saying is that it's a temporary thing or they're expected to live at 1200 calories forever. I, I don't know. You know again. But anyways, Karen says some of your tips have helped my mindset already. Well, great, Karen. That's what I'm here for. And again, if you're all here, make sure you go click the link in my bio. If you're on Tick Tock. If you're on Facebook, you can go to program yourself, then click. You have to hit the little lines there and then it'll be there. But you can go to free hypnosis session. It's called the new Thin Me. It's a ten minute kickstart session. I give you a training, a bunch of other stuff. If you join the program today, I've discounted it. And if you join today, I am gonna send you a physical signed copy of the new book. But even if you're not, go get the free hypnosis session because that'll help you out. That'll help change your mindset too. Lois says GLP1 can't be just the answer for weight loss. It needs to be just a tool. The behavioral lifestyle changes need to be part of it. Agreed? Agreed. I mean, I've heard, I've heard Doctors describe the GLP1s as, you know, you're in quicksand and it's a shovel. You know, it helps you not get buried. But it's. It's not the final answer. And whatever I'll be here for when we all get to that point. It's because, again, when, when people are losing weight, they don't give a. What they're doing. You can only really judge something. You can really only just judge something after they've been doing it for a while, you know? So Green Eye blonde says, all my lab numbers are fantastic now. That's good enough for me. The weight is a secondary issue. That's great. That's great. I think that's a great attitude, you know? Yeah. You get the numbers in the right spot, you know what it means to stabilize yourself, and then you go to work on the weight that you want to. Want to live at. Josephine says, I still enjoy food and I still get hungry on GLP1. It's just a tool. You still have to make changes. Yeah, absolutely. And I'm not saying people don't enjoy food, but. But it's. It's just different. It's more muted experience, you know, you can tell me it's not a more muted experience, you know, if the glp. I'm getting this, but I'm glad. And again, it's the right answer for some people. Dot says, don't start now. It's New Year's. It won't stick, wait another six months. So I'm going to assume that, that Dodd's being facetious and sarcastic, but I think there's some truth to that in a sense. And I will say, don't start today, you know, because you probably won't make it through the weekend. But make a commitment, you know what I mean? That sets you up for something that you're going to stick with for the year. That's kind of my main message from the beginning. But. But don't. Don't wait another six months. Don't do that. Whatever you do, don't wait another six months, please. Good Lord. That's what gets you in this trouble. The situation you're in now, you're in because you waited six months. You know what I mean? But that's what I'm saying. Like, dieting is an all or nothing approach. So to do a diet, you've got to jump in doing it 100, right? And there's no room for. There's no room for mistakes or there's no flexibility for it all, you know? So I think that, you know, you need to have a plan. I'll tell you the easiest way to kind of visualize it in Your mind is that you need some weight loss approach that carries on even when you make mistakes. Let me put it that way. As simple as I can with program yourself. Then we build the whole program around your mistakes. Because I believe. My opinion is that you're going to make lots of mistakes. That's what I think. I think you're going to start your weight loss journey and you're going to make lots of mistakes between your start and a year from now, five years from now, ten years from now. You're just going to always make mistakes. That's what I think. I think I'm always going to make mistakes and I'm okay with that. Okay. It's not about never making mistakes. It's about making less mistakes. It's about making mistakes and getting back on track quickly. Learning, growing, evolving from that, them. I think that's the secret, you know, but waiting, waiting is always, you know, a bad strategy. Typically Y2K. What's going on? For some reason, when I go to my boyfriend's house, my weight loss motivation goes out the window. He cooks lavish dinners, high fat, high calorie. He makes me not want to care anymore. Yeah, but that's great though. I mean, again, you get specific about it and you can start to investigate that. You know, first of all, again, I don't know where your weight's at, but do you really want to even lose weight? Most people don't even really care much. But that, to me, when you say that, the first thing I think is, okay, what's your motivation? What do you want to do? Why do you want to do it? Most people's motivation for weight loss is very low. Most people have no idea how to motivate themselves to lose weight. I don't know if I'm saying the obvious, but that's why I'm programming yourself, then the literal. Very first thing you do in the mindset section is work on your motivation. You learn how to motivate yourself because you probably don't know how to motivate yourself. Most dieters, the motivation, it's kind of like, it's like the, the planets and the moons and the suns and sometimes they align and sometimes they don't. If they're aligned, you're all excited about it and fired up. And if they don't, you have no idea how to get yourself motivated. That's how most dieters are walking around. So I think having. There's a science of motivation. We talk about that. We go through that in the program. We go through the questions so it's like when you understand that you can approach your motivation completely different with a much more strategic mindset. In this culture, diets have conditioned you to get motivated about your weight primarily through how you look in your lifetime. All of us, we have seen millions of diet ads before and after pictures. And what happens is subconsciously now we think about getting motivated to lose weight based on, I want to look like the after picture. That's how you think about weight loss. But those are what are called extrinsic motivations, and they're the weakest form of motivations. And so in program yourself, then we build our motivation around intrinsic motivators, things that really, really matter to us. Us and most likely have no idea what any of those words mean or what those things are. But you probably also can't maintain your motivation. Most dieters can't. Right. They're just at the mercy of it. So, yeah, so I get that Y2K, but again, it's not the dinners that are, Listen, they're, they're an issue. But I would say the core pro. Where I'd want to start with you is I say, what's your goal? Do you want to lose weight? Why, I'd start there. And that'll give you some of the energy to deal with some of that stuff. Josephine says GLP1 to help balance my hormones, made the process of learning better lifestyle habits easier. Mocha says you do not like GLP1. You're trying so hard not to say anything bad about it. I, I don't mean that. I mean, I, I, I want to be as, like, transparent as possible. You know what I mean? So it's like, I, I really, I don't, I'm conf, I'm not, I'm not conflicted. I, I think GLP1s are really a godsend blessing for a lot of people. So let me just say that I think there's a lot of people because I, I think program yourself thin is, is more of a, a niche approach. I'll be the first to say that, you know, I'm never going to be weight watchers. You know what I mean? Like, it's just, it's just not what it is. It's a, it's a, it's for a specific person. It's for an overthinker, someone who thinks a lot, someone who listens to a lot of the podcasts, researches a lot of stuff, thinks about this a lot, takes lots of action, tweaked up, typically. Right. Kind of perfectionist. That's who program yourself then is for. And I don't make any, any illusions to that. So for people that aren't that way, I think GLP1's probably the best bet they're ever going to have, honestly. Okay. However, if you are an overthinker, an action taker, someone like this, I think program yourself then is a million times better. You know what I mean? So I'm kind of caught in that weird thing, you know what I mean? But there's definitely issues with GLP1s too. But I don't like to talk stuff because I just don't want to do that. I. If someone's in a GLP1, I want to be supportive for them. So if they want to learn how to deal with their mindset at a high level joint, program yourself then and learn how to do it while you're using a GLP one. I have a lot of people doing that, so I don't want to sit here and talk about that. But I don't know. I mean GLP1 is a long term thing. I don't know because here's another piece of it. It, you know, I'm a town meeting member and we were doing the thing a couple months ago where our health insurance costs for our town went up 40% last year. 40% in one year. Right. Which was a million and a half bucks. A lot of money. Okay. And it says for our little town. And so right off the bat they say, well, it's because most of that was because of the GLP1 medicines. They're very expensive. And so right off the bat we vote. We're saying we're not covering that anymore. We can't, we can't cover it, we can't pay for it. You know, so that's Another piece of GLP1s1 is I don't know what the quality of life is, the enjoyment of food. That, that's one thing. The emotional piece of it. That's one thing. The second thing is literally just access to it financially. Is it going to stay affordable? Will it be affordable or is insurance going to cover it? Because I'm seeing the writing on the wall. I've seen a lot of insurance companies, I've heard from a lot of people that a lot more insurance companies aren't going to cover it. It's too expensive for them and everyone wants to do it it. So, you know, is the price going to skyrocket? Is your insurance not going to cover it? Will you be able to pay $1,000 a month for this, you know, so these are real things too. And so, you know, there is the side of it, people getting, you know, reliant on it, which, let's be honest, studies have shown that every single, I don't say every single, there's always outliers, but the, the vast majority of people that go on a GLP1 only will experience results while they're on it. And that's a piece too. So you are committing to a lifetime of, of medicine here, you know, so again, I'm trying to walk a middle road and I think my implicit biases are that I don't really like, I don't really like medical interventions. But listen, I'm clear about this. I'm on a statin forever. You know what I mean? So it's like, I don't want to sit here. Like, I don't like people that do that. They just like demonize all this. So I, I, I'm very much attempting not to do that. That even though I will say my implicit buys are against medicines. And obviously all I do is talk about, you know, holistic natural weight loss. So it's the opposite of that to a lot of degrees. So I, I guess you may be seeing my biases come out, but I don't want them to. You know, I want to be supportive for everyone that wants to do this, but you might be right. Yeah. Y2K says GLP1s have too many bad side effects. I mean, they do for some people. They, they can't even get anywhere with them because there's, the effects are so dramatically bad, you know, But I would say it's estimated ballpark estimates are 25% of people, they just can't do it. The side effects are too much. All the rest of it. So 75% of people do it and they're getting results. But I think probably another 25% of those people will probably have really pretty bad effects, but they're just sticking it out because they just want to lose weight. And again, once the weight loss stops, I'm curious to see what's going to happen. Those people. People. So again, I'm happy there's a GLP one. I just want to make that crystal clear. There's no question in my mind. I think GLP1s are a net benefit because I think, listen, I know the society we live in. I know most people aren't going to go through. Program yourself then. And so if people that have health issues take a GLP1 and they start losing weight and they become healthier then I'm for that, for sure. Yeah. Yep. Joan, I agree with Joan here on this one. Yeah. Weight management's an inside out job, plain and simple. Agreed. Agreed. You know, and again, GLP1s, I don't. I'm not going to consider them for weight maintenance yet because we haven't even gotten to the weight maintenance part of GLP1s yet. As I said, we are just starting the weight maintenance phase for GLP1s in the population of people that are not diabetic. We are just starting that right about now, and we'll see what happens. Maggie says the beginning of 2025, I was obsessed with tracking food. I finally learned to stock healthy foods. Fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meat. I don't track anything but my dressing, my salad and sauces, and I'm losing weight. Nice job, Maggie. I think that's wonderful. And I think you hit the nail on the head. I think that's really the secret is. I mean, that's one of many things. But learning how to eat differently I think is a secret. I'm not a big fan of tracking, like, calories and foods and all that stuff. I think it's. It's just so. It's so hard to keep it up, you know, it's so tedious, you know, most of the time. So I don't. For most people, I think counting every calorie is just not a good strategy, you know, Mocha says, I've started a calorie deficit. Knowing what I actually eat and going to the gym changed my life. I've lost £80 within a year. Holy Mocha. Nice job. Congrats. Great job. Great job. Yeah, there you go. Knowing what I actually eat and going to the gym changed my life. Yeah. Again, awareness. Right? Is that point. So I, I will tell you, I asked this. I've been doing this my whole career. I always ask my clients, I said, what's been the most valuable part? And almost without question, I. Almost everyone always says the awareness, the awareness of what I was doing. So I think Mocha really demonstrates this really well, that it's when you start to pay attention to what you're doing, you start to realize, you know, a lot of people. I will tell you, one of the biggest challenges most people have to get through is they'll say, it doesn't matter what I do. I can't lose weight. I do a crazy calorie deficit. I still don't lose weight, you know, and people will tell themselves stories that aren't true. Again, the GLP ones prove without any shadow of a doubt that if you reduce your, your calorie consumption, your weight's gonna go down, you know, because across the board, GLP1s are being used with morbidly obese people. Obese people, diabetics, Hashimoto's, all these different things. And they're losing weight because they're consuming less calories. So there's a lot of people out there that kind of resist that because they've been defending themselves for so long that they now believe things like, it doesn't matter what I do. I can't lose weight. Oh. No matter how many calories cut, I can't lose weight. Yes, you can. You know, most of the time, you're just unaware of what you're doing. So great job, Mocha. That must have been quite a lot of work. That's quite an accomplishment. £80 in a year. Holy crap. So keep it up. Keep it up. Yeah. Mo says you don't have to track forever. I agree with that, too. I think tracking is, I, I think tracking is great as an exercise to kind of calibrate what you thought you were eating with what you're actually eating, and I think that's valuable. But I've never tracked calories, but I'm very, I track kind of. I don't, I hate to use this word because I don't want to confuse it with intuitive eating, but I, I, I, I track kind of the structure of my eating. So I know, like, what I typically eat Monday through Friday for breakfast. I know I typically eat for lunch. And I kind of a sense of how I eat normally now, what those calories are, the rest of it, because I've tracked them like, okay, what, I mean, a piece of bread. How many calories in here? Oh, I'm here. Put some peanut butter on here. How much am I using? Okay, so I do, like, once or twice, just get a sense of what I'm doing, you know? But, but people that are trying to track every little single thing they eat, for most people, that's going to be a temporary strategy. You know, it's not gonna work long, but I agree. Yeah. You don't want to track forever. You want to make it. Yeah. There. I agree. Mocha. Yeah. At some point, your body just knows what food is going to do to you. I, I agree with that. I, I totally agree with that. If you stick with it long enough, your body kind of learns what's what. And I will tell you if, if you do start to improve your eating, you Know what I mean? So if you look at changing your eating not just as reducing calories, but transforming the calories into healthier ones, that's really gonna support that process too. Because the more whole natural foods you put in your body, I think the more you really fuel your body to know what it needs than what it doesn't, you know? Carol says the reader rehearsal technique in PYT was a game changer for me. That's awesome, Carol. Yeah, the reader rehearsal techniques, the whole shit folks, that is something else. So yes, I, I agree with that. The the program yourself then technique, I call, I call it the program yourself then technique, which is really the redo rehearsal technique. It's a 60 second mental rehearsal technique we use at night, but we use it every night. Whether we had a good day or bad day, we have a strategy of what we're going to do. See, that's the difference of programming yourself then. That really separates it from diets because diets, you can do them when things are going well, but as soon as you get off track or things aren't going well, it's very hard to keep going. Program yourself then is really built whether you had a good day or a bad day. We're gonna do the same thing at night. I mean, we're gonna reflect and we're going to improve and grow and program ourselves and get better. Whether we had a good day, bad day, we always have direction to go, you know, so that's awesome. I really appreciate you saying that. I love to hear that. It really is a game changer. That technique is the stuff. So. Agreed. And that's what you learn and program yourself then. So I will give you my kind of one last pitch for those of you, if anyone is considering getting the program, if you get it today, I am sending a physical copy of this book. I will mail a physical signed copy of my new book to you. In addition, you will get the program. It's had. It's a discounted. I'm going to keep it discounted for the next week. And I think I've said this before, but I promise you this is real and I know on the way to cry wolf with this, but I promise you the price is going up after next weekend, forever. I'm just doing it this week because I've been working on other things and I still have to record this video to make the price higher. But so it will still be discounted for a little while. But if you do order today, if you've been on the fence with it, want to get it? Make a commitment on New Year's Day. I guess that's probably, in my opinion, the best way to use today is to make some kind of commitment outside of yourself. Right? Program yourself then, great. But if it's anything else, make some commitment outside of yourself to your weight, to your health, to your happiness. And again, if you do order program yourself today, I will send you a signed copy of this. And if you you're not in that phase yet, you just never heard of me. You want to research a little more are click the link in my bio or go to Program yourself then and you can get a free hypnosis session. I made a training for you. I got a bunch of free stuff coming for you. I was working on it this week here. It'll be all ready to go next week. PYT Spark is what it's called. It's a free program. It's all free. So that will be available to you. So if you sign up today to get that hypnosis session, you'll be on my email list and I will send you emails about that. You can go check it out out and yeah, there we are. Sorry everyone. It's been a pleasure. I wish you all the best. 2026. Happy New Year to all of you again. I hope to see you in the program. I'm here every Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern. So pop on here if you have questions. I'm happy to help you out, move you forward any way I can. If you like listening to this and you can't make the lives, it's also a podcast, so you can go to any podcast platform, search program yourself, then it'll pop up. You can listen whenever you want. All right, everyone, have a super duper day and we will talk soon. Bye.
