If you're struggling to lose weight, there's a good chance that one of the core reasons is that you're not taking your weight serious enough. Now, before you get upset with me, hear me out. If I had you rated on a scale of 0 to 10 how serious you are about your weight, you'd probably instinctively say a 10, right? You think about it all the time, and you really, really want to lose weight. But to find out how accurate that number is, let me take you through a thought experiment. If you think about the person in your life that you love the most and you imagine that they were kidnapped and the kidnapper said, if you don't lose weight over the next month, you'll never see this person again. Now, in that situation, what would your level of seriousness be? And that level to absolute 10. So now look back at that original number. Is that how you feel? Was that number accurate? For most people, it's not. And most people, their serious level is around a three or four. And this is good news because it reveals one of the biggest issues you have, is that you're not taking this serious enough. So how do you take it more seriously? The secret is to stop thinking about your weight loss in terms of just looking better and start realizing that your weight, your lifestyle, how you're eating, and how you're living have a direct impact on how long you're going to live. Most likely your quality of life during those years. You need to increase the importance of what your weight means from not just looking better, but to living longer and living happier. And this starts to boost up the seriousness, because the more serious you take it, the easier it is to lose the weight.
