Jim Katsoulis jokes about a ridiculous 10-pound-a-week diet of complete fasting and passing out from exercise, then flips it: the real problem is chasing fast results instead of sustainable habits. Healthy weight loss is about consistency, not speed.

Wanna lose 10 pounds a week? Here's my plan to do it, and you can start it right now. Step number 1 is stop eating any food at all. Step number 2 is make sure that you do not drink anything, no liquids at all. We wanna make sure we lose all the water weight. And step number 3 is do as much activity as possible. Jump roping, running, riding exercise bikes, it doesn't matter. Just work out as hard as you can for as long as you can until you find yourself passing out and blacking outta consciousness. Now, I'm obviously joking about this, but I'm doing it to make a point that the more focused you get on how fast you can lose the weight, the more likely you are to fall for plan that's too extreme and unsustainable. So instead of focusing on how fast you can lose the weight, start focusing on how long you can lose the weight.
