Addiction paradox. That addiction is the only disease that you can decide not to have. Hold on. Because on one hand, we have the current addiction, and while the person is actively addicted, we can say, okay, well, their brain is causing them to do this. They've had experiences, traumas. They can't control their behavior. Okay, but then on the other hand, we have all the people that have been in the exact same situation, but now no longer are. Well, how does one person get from one to the other? They decided they didn't want to live that way anymore. Broken brain, trauma, suffering. Somehow decided not to do it anymore. And they changed their entire lives. Yeah, sometimes there's certain things that help them. Maybe there's medicines or certain therapies that help them. But there's also a lot of times where people just made the choice. They made the decision, they moved over. Now, again, I'm not blaming people that can't make that decision yet. I understand there's more to it than how I'm making it sound. But it's also as simple as I'm making it sound, too, that every single former addict has made a decision that they're no longer going to live this way. And that is the thing that allowed them to break free of.
