The Best Food For Weight Loss

A 2026 live/podcast-style YouTube talk by Jim Katsoulis explaining how to choose foods for weight loss. Central claim: focus on calorie density (volume of food vs calories) — keep eating similar volumes but swap high-calorie-density foods (butter, oils, fried/cheesy/baked goods, cookies, fries) for lower-density options (fruit, baked potato, vegetables) to reduce calories without increasing hunger. The talk emphasizes behavioral strategies, plateaus, tailoring plans to individuals, and maintenance. The host answers audience questions (plateaus, steps, menopause, sugar cravings, social events) and promotes free resources: a hypnosis session, PYT Spark program, Jim AI access, a goal-weight quiz, and his book (The Dao of Living at Your Goal Weight).

It. Hey, everyone. Welcome to today's program Yourself Thin Podcast. Today we are talking about the best food for weight loss. And this is a question everyone wants to talk about. Everyone wants to know. They get so fixated on the food. So, yes, the food's important. Obviously, the food's the main thing that's going to dictate your weight. So I want to give you some general guidelines. I'm going to tell you the specific foods that are best for losing weight, because it's different for each person. It depends on what you like, what your lifestyle is, what your situation is. I can't just sit here and say, eat this food, and that's going to be the right food for you. Okay? So instead, I want to take it back a step and talk about kind of philosophically, how do you make the best choices for food so that you can figure out which foods are going to serve you best? So the main thing you want to understand when it comes to food for weight loss is the concept of calorie density, right? Because at the end of the day, it's the calories in the food that are leading to your weight. And if you consume extra calories, you're going to put more weight on. If you consume the same amount of calories, you're going to keep the same weight. If you reduce your calorie consumption over time, you're going to lose weight. We all know this, okay? But there it is. So when it comes to eating, I think the big mistake a lot of people make is they just think, calories, I'm going to cut them. But they don't understand the concept of calorie density. And so it makes it way harder because it is not calories that are the only thing that make us feel full or hungry. You got to understand that, and to prove that you have. If that was the case, if it was the calories that made us feel satisfied and full, then no one would ever gain weight, right? Because they'd eat the calories that they normally ate and they'd be satisfied, and. And that would be that they'd stay at the same weight. But what happens is you can eat a certain amount of calories and still feel hungry, and then eat more calories, still feel hungry. Okay? So it's not just calories that fill you up. That's one component, one part of it, but it's not the whole thing. Really important to understand. A big part of what makes you feel full when you're eating is the volume of the food. So when you eat food it stretches your stomach. Your stomach has stretch receptors that are intricately involved with your hunger. And so as your stomach shrinks down, you start to release a hunger hormone. As your stomach stretches and fills up, you start to release a satisfied hormone. It makes you feel fuller. So when you want to lose weight, the real secret here is not just to cut calories, because that's what most dieters do. Most dieters cut calories down dramatically, but simultaneously they cut volume of food down dramatically. And so now they feel really hungry. But it's important to understand that, that most humans eat the same volume of food every day. So the real secret to losing weight and keeping it off is not to cut the volume of food down, it's to cut the calories in the volume of food that you typically eat down. Hope that makes sense. And when you start thinking this way, you can now start to be way more strategic with how you're approaching this, because again, most dieters drastically cut the calories by drastically cutting the volume of food they're eating. And so now they feel hungry all the time. So the alternative to that is that you look at what you typically eat, find the foods that have a higher calorie density. So what is calorie density? Real quick? Calorie density is the amount of calories in a volume of food. So let's just compare a cookie to an apple. Right? In the ballpark of being the same size, the cookie, though, has three, four times as much calories in it as the apple. Right. So the cookies are much more calorie dense food. Right. Same volume of food relatively, but way more calories in it. So what's happening is for the amount of satisfaction you're going to get, pretty much you're going to get a ton of calories versus the apple. For the amount of satisfaction you're gonna get, you're getting way less calories in your body. Okay, so this is the basic philosophy. There's a diet called Volumetrics is built all around this idea that you're gonna keep the volume of food that you eat the same, but you're gonna reduce the calories. And this is how you do it. So instead of drastically cutting the volume of food you eat, you start to change it. You start to trade high calorie dense foods for low calorie dense foods so that you're keeping the volume very similar. Once you do this, you feel fuller, you feel satisfied, but you've also reduced your calorie consumption. This, to me, is the holy grail of weight loss. In a Nutshell, because what happens is it feels way more comfortable, you feel more satisfied, you feel more full, but your calories come down, so your weight loss is going to happen. So start looking at what you typically eat as a pattern. Start to look at what your typical breakfasts are, your typical lunches, your typical snacks, your typical dinners, and find the ones that are the most calorie dense. Now, I'll give you a hint. The most calorie dense foods, pretty much butter oils, okay? These are really calorie dense foods. A little bit of those has a lot of calories packed into them. So you want to start trading out foods that have a lot of butter and oil in them. You know, again, there's cookies, baked goods, you know, that's their stuff with butter, which is one of the things that makes them a lot more calorie dense. And so you start trading the cookies for the fruit. And you've made a huge shift in the calorie density of the food, and yet you still have a lot of satisfaction left. Okay? So start looking at the typical things you eat and start to look for the butters, the cheeses, the oils, these types of things. Again, things that are fried, right? Obviously, cheesy stuff, buttery stuff. These things here are gonna be at the top of the list. And of course, you can get more and more refined as you move down. But look for the easy wins first. And don't just stop eating the cookies, the, the fried stuff, all the rest of it. Trade it out for something that's a lot less calorie dense. So trade the french fries for a baked potato. Huge difference there, right? Trade the, you know, the cookies for a piece of fruit or a cracker. Right? Even crackers and stuff. Again, there's a lot less butter in it. So as you start to look at it this way, you're going to make it easier because it's not such a dramatic shift. And I think most dieters make the big mistake of dramatically trying to cut down the volume. And so they feel super hungry. And it's very difficult to fight your hunger. Ultimately, at the end of the day, your hunger is going to win. So learn to manage our hunger more effectively rather than trying to fight against it. And I hope this helps you out. So anyways, all that's free and I'll be giving you more things than that, but you got to go opt in to get it. So go check that out and if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. See, Anne's got a question over here and says, I've lost 65 pounds since July of 2025. Now suddenly I'm struggling with the same three to five pounds, up and down and up again. Haven't changed food or exercise. 11,000 steps per day. What the heck? All right, well, that's a great question. First of all, congratulations, Ann. £65 in. What are we talking there? Like, we're talking seven months. £65 is. Seven months is a tremendous rate of weight loss. So. So congrats on taking a lot of action. But listen, there's pros and cons to everything. And one of the cons to rapid weight loss, and I would put yours into the category of rapid weight loss, right? 10, 10. 10 pounds a month, I would say, is rapid weight loss. And so a couple things there, a. I don't know what. Not sure what your ultimate goal is. That's one thing I'd love to know. So what's your ultimate. How far away from your ultimate goal? Okay, the other thing I'd love to know is you say, now suddenly I'm struggling with the same three to five pounds. What suddenly mean? I mean, have you been at the same three to five pounds for a month, two months? How long has that been going on? And having changed food or exercise, you know, that we went through the holidays, nothing shifted up there at all, you know, at all. Are you sure? So that's just one more thing to kind of consider and think about. Um, but then the other thing is this, that a lot of times when you're. When you're on the weight loss path, at some point, it's almost guaranteed that you are going to hit a plateau. And so sometimes you will hit a plateau Even though you're doing nothing different. Okay. And so in those situations, what I always say to people is, I say when you hit a plateau, you should use it as an opportunity to practice your maintenance. And you keep doing what you're doing for a month or so. And I see you've written, it's been about a month. Struggling is to ride that out and see what happens. Because after a month, you know, sometimes. Sometimes you can do the same thing. And three weeks later, all of a sudden, the weight loss kicks in again. You know, why is that? And then other times, you know, you find out, okay, my body's kind of adjusted. I need to mix things up a little bit. So the same thing you've been doing might have been working for seven months, but now maybe you need to reduce the calories again. I. Again, without knowing what your calorie deficit is and how you're approaching all that. That is something, you know, I'd want to know. That stuff goals about £50 away. So you get £50 more pounds you want to hit. Yep. Doing this natural. No GLP1 or surgery again, Ann. And then here's the other piece, and you're not going to like this piece, but I got to say it, because it's what I see all the time, that I know that you have been losing weight at a very rapid rate. So I know that you've done something probably pretty extreme. I'm just gonna guess. I'm gonna guess you're intermittent fasting, and you're not eating for six. You're only eating for six hours. I'm just gonna guess that I. I don't know anything about Ann here, but I'm just gonna guess when I hear 11, 000 steps, that's not enough to create that rate of weight loss. You've done something drastic with your reading. And I'm just going to guess that it's intermittent fasting. Maybe I'm wrong. Let me know. Let me know what you're doing with your reading. I'll be able to give you maybe a little bit more insight if I know specifically what you're doing. But regardless, whatever you've done, it's something drastic. And the fact you've been able to keep it up for seven months is quite an accomplishment. Sometimes what can happen is going through the holidays. You didn't switch up at all the holidays, right? Nothing changed. Was the holidays easy? Anne says no. Okay, Doing Weight Watchers. All right, so you're doing Weight Watchers, but you must be. You must be keeping those points Pretty low. You must be keeping those points pretty low to get that kind of weight loss, am I right? And then let me know the holidays went. How are the holidays for you? Did your points change at all? Did your mindset change? Always it a struggle at all. Let me know all those things there and then I would love to dive into this some more because this is what I do. This is what I do. I love diving into these things. See here it says, okay, a few cookies in the holidays. Okay, okay. But that's a good thing. I, I think, I think you're better off having some cookies in the holidays and enjoying yourself than having a miserable holiday and not eating cookies. Okay. That being said, I would say that's probably. If I had to guess that from what you're saying, that's probably part of the factor, you know, is that those cookies got in there. The cookies are more than you thought. And now there's kind of a, you know, a lingering effect. Yeah, there we go. Okay. Anne says, yeah, calories about 1200 a day. 1200 calories a day is. Is kind of low. And again, I don't know where you started from. So, you know, there's that. But, but at the end of the day, I, I would say in this situation, if I had to put my money on what the issue is, I'd say it's probably the cookies. And the cookies are never the cookies. The cookies are one thing you noticed, and you probably cranked your calories up a little more than you thought. And that's probably one of the main things. So if it was me, if I was in your situation, I would relax, I'd calm down. I would let January be a month of where I kind of re. Ground myself after the holidays. And I would really start to look at. I would continue to do whatever you were doing, and I would really look for things to kind of restart in February. And if they don't restart by the middle of February, I would probably. Well, I don't know. Again, 1200 calories a day, you're not gonna go much lower than that. 1200 calories a day is gonna be hard to live at, most likely. I don't know how that feels for you, but I wouldn't wanna. And that's probably what my, My biggest suggestion to you would be, to have a little bit of patience for where you're at, celebrate where you're at as well. One other thing I'll give you is I'd reframe how you're looking at your weight loss. I Can almost guarantee you're focused on the £65 you lost. And I would instead reframe that as you're, you know, you're 60% of the way to your goal, you know, and a lot of times the first 60% is quicker than the last 40% as well. So you may have to adjust your, your mindset a little bit that the, the next £50 may come off a little bit slower. You've had that. I would say that's very quick weight loss, you know, and so it's not unusual for the weight loss to slow down a little bit towards, you know, the last back half of it. And there's nothing wrong with that. You know, again, our expectations play a huge part in our success or failure, you know. So, again, coming off of, coming off of the holidays and it really just being January 20th, I would say you're. You're kind of right, you know, assuming it sounds like you're back on track pretty well. But I'd say, you know, now I would start to look at the weight loss and see what happens, and then I would take it from there. That's what I would think. Yeah. Anyone's got any questions, feel free to ask them. Tropical Peace says, I feel like a different. I feel like different people need different numbers of steps to keep losing weight. Different numbers of steps. I'm not sure what that means, but I definitely think different people need different. I, I believe when it comes to weight that you need to create a one size fits one system. You need to figure out what works for you at the end of the day. And so I, I do agree with that part, you know, and I think the diet industry has caught us, taught us to, like, lose. We're all going to lose weight the same way. I'll follow the same plan. I'll do the same stuff. So I just don't know. Tribal P says some lose weight at 10,000 steps, others maintain weight at 10,000 steps. Agreed. Agreed. I think that's very true. I just think that's true. So, you know, if you reference, if you reference your experience against yourself and not other people, I think that's a great strategy. You know, again, you don't have to walk 10,000 steps. You don't have to do any. You, you do have to create a. You have to reduce your average calorie consumption to lose weight. That we know. But there's a million ways to do that, you know, and so if you stop trying to. I always say that diets kind of, they train you to think There's a one size fits all system and it trains you to think that you have to force yourself to do it this way, you know, and if it doesn't work for you, fight against that the whole time. And I feel like it's a fight you rarely win, you know. Also notice something sugary, the weight stalls one or two weeks later with a delay effect. Yeah, the delay effect's real too. And I would definitely, if I was you, and I would definitely, I think the delay effect for me, absolutely. It takes me about two weeks for the weight to show up, you know what I mean? So I think that I definitely, that delay effect is real. I, I believe in that a million percent. So glad you said that. Tropical piece. Yeah. A cookie or pastry can be 500 calories alone. Yeah, it's true, it's true. It adds up quick. Calorie dense foods have a lot of calories packed into them. That is so true. Lobby says, how can I approach needing to exercise, but everything hurts because of menopause. You know, I'd started, I'd start approaching it by first realizing you don't need to exercise. No one needs to exercise. You don't need to, you know, it might serve you better, it might help you live longer, might help you be happier. Okay, those might all be true. But need to is a very specific word and most people don't need to do that. And I think once you realize that, you quickly get to the point, either want exercise for reasons or you don't. And I think that's a much cleaner way of looking at it, you know, so you don't need to exercise. But lobby you, you tell me if I'm saying that right, if you did start to exercise. See, now again, here's one other thing I'll tell you. Exercise in your mind, I'm going to imagine is one thing. It's probably, it's going to the gym. It's, it's on the Cardio machine. It's 10,000 steps. It's probably one specific concept. And one thing I would suggest to you, especially saying that your, your body's uncomfortable and hurting, is, I would say, what else can I do, you know, So I would have a plan A, B and C for exercising. And plan A may be going to the gym or doing cardio or working out, whatever, but plan B might be, you know, a 10 minute workout, you know, plan C may be, you know, two minutes of yoga and stretching, you know, so again, I would suggest that you start to meet yourself where you're at I bet you're trying to force yourself to do something that doesn't feel like a good fit right now because your body hurts. So hopefully that helps. You. See here. Nicholas says Boston, Mass here. All right. Yeah, I'm in the other side of the state, but I'm in Boston. I used to live in Boston, love Boston. And says patience is what I need. Adjust my mindset is truly what I need to do. Thank you. You're welcome, man. Yes, and I think one of the best ways. Let me put this link in here. If you're not in my world, I think there's no better way to create patience because patience is a skill, you know, it's not that you either have it or you don't. It's something you, you learn to develop as a skill set. But I think there's no better way to develop that skill set than to listen to the hypnosis session I just linked you to. So go get that. It's free. I give you more free stuff away than anyone. I always have, but I really do now. I got my program yourself then Spark program, I just give you for free. This is a program I should be charging 100 bucks for. I'm not going to do it though. I'm not, I'm not going to charge for. I'm just giving it to you. I need to test it out. See, see what I mean? I can't believe in program yourself then any more than I do, you know, so I know if you, if you test this program out, you're going to realize instantaneously that you're going to realize it's a better way, you know, and I put my money where my mouth is, I give you the program for free, you know, so go test it out. Novi says some of the principles of volume eating are helpful, but I've gone too far with that in the past and it's crazy. Unsatisf always led to binges for me. Well, yeah, okay, but, but, but Novi understand, and I want to make this crystal clear that I think the principles are the principles. The principles are kind of the container and you got to dial in the specifics of that. Okay? So, you know, just because the specific way you did the volume eating didn't work doesn't mean that the principles don't still work. You've got to make that separation. The, the, the principles of volume, volume eating are rock solid. So if, if it's not working for you, don't give up on the principles that, that work. Start to dial in how you were following them, you know what I mean? So for example, I'm going to guess, Novi, that the foods you were eating that were a lower calorie density weren't satisfying enough to you. You know, again, I mean lettuce and celery are the least calorie dense foods on the planet, but if that's all I eat, I'm going to be raving hot lunatic of hunger. Okay. You know what I mean? So again, it's a concept that we have to dial in and optimize. But those principles are rock solid. I can't think of any better principles to build your weight success around than the concepts of calorie density and volume, volume metrics and volume eating. But again, you know, there's so many different takes on it that maybe the take you were following just it wasn't the right one for you, you know. But I can't think of anything that'd be better to structure your reading around. I don't even know what people would do because if you just track calories I think that's a recipe for disaster and destruction, honestly. So. Anyways, got any questions, feel free to ask them. See another one there, Lobby says makes sense. Thank you. You're welcome. Welcome. That's what I'm here for. I'm here to help you all out. Yeah, tropical peace. Maybe could have some less seasoned food. Yes, seasoning is a huge factor in quantity of food eaten. So absolutely that there's just a lot of layers to all this stuff. That's what I think makes it so fascinating. But yes, even seasonings in, in animal feed they call it palatans. But it's like how do you get these animals eat this shitty quality food? Right? Because you know, they want to have the, the cheapest food so they make the most profit but the animals wouldn't eat it. So the secret was to put flavoring on it. And so they do that with humans too. And so they don't call it palatans but it's the same thing that again, I dare you to eat cheez its without flavoring on them. I read a book and the guy tried that and that was just without salt and he said it tastes like metal filings. So the quality of a lot of the processed food we eat is such shitty quality and gross that if you took the flavoring off it you couldn't even choke it down. Yes, true seasoned foods definitely is something to monitor too. It's not all seasonings, but some seasons. What's up Jane? Jane says I'm Having great difficulty not having sugar every single day. Oh, help. Okay, Jane, listen, I would change my goal. You don't have to not eat sugar every day. Okay? Maybe not eating sugar at all during the day is just too much right now. So again, here's a crazy idea, folks. I'm going to hit you with just such a crazy idea. In the weight loss world, let's say you want to get better control over your sugar intake, okay? Now, what are most dieters going to do? Most dieters going to say, gonna have. I gotta have a sugar. No more sugar. Right. Okay, well, that's one option. Okay, plan A. Plan A. Great. It's perfect. No more sugar. Great. Okay, but how about we get a plan B and C so that if you can't reach plan A or don't want to, you don't feel like a failure? All right, so what if we have a plan B, which is, I'll eat half as much sugar as I typically do, but if we have plan c, that'll eat 25% less sugar than I normally do. Is that. Is that a craze? I don't know. Why. Why is that resistance so much? I do know why. Because it's gonna slower results. If I'm gonna do. I gotta do it all the way, you know, but why not? And Jane follows up by saying, I'm getting so discouraged by my choices. Each. By my choice each day to eat sugar, despite deciding at the beginning of the day, at the end, at the end of the day not to do it. Yeah. So again, you're doing the classic dieter thing, that the beginning and the end. Okay? So Jane says, once I start to eat sugar, I can't stop. I don't believe that. Jane, what would happen if. If I said to you, okay, this week, if you eat sugar each day, I'm gonna give you. I'm gonna give you two cookies. I'm gonna drop them off each morning. No, you know what I'm gonna give you. I'm gonna. I'm gonna drop off your door 10 cookies each day, Jane, and you can eat two of them. And if you eat any more than two, you're not going to get the prize I got for you at the end of the week. He said, what's the prize? Well, the prize is a million dollars. I've got a briefcase. I already paid the taxes, too. So this is a million dollars straight to you. If I can drop these 10 cookies off, pick up the 8 tomorrow, when I drop my next 10 off, would you get that million bucks or Would you not, Jane? Would I be paying you a million bucks the end of the week or. No, the sugar got the best you and you ate all the cookies. Let me know. Because sometimes we misspeak and we say that I can't do things that we can do, we just don't really want to do or we're not very good at doing. And we need to be clear. We need to be very literal and clear because our subconscious mind, which is running the whole show, is extremely literal and clear. And a lot of times we speak. We speak in a very messy way. So Jane says, ooh, that's tough. Is it really? Is it really tough, Jane? Okay, let me. Let me dial it up a little bit. How about this one, Jane? How about I say, same deal, but this time here, you don't get a million bucks. But if you eat any more of those cookies than the two, the person you care most about in your life, you're never going to see them again and take them away. Yeah, well, Jane says, I'm an emotional leader, and something seems to happen each day that will set me off. Okay, so you'd be the same emotional leader in both of these scenarios with a million bucks or your most loved person in the world never seeing them again. Would you be an emotional leader in those situations? Or would you somehow. Would you somehow summon the ability out of yourself to get a hold of that emotional eating and not eat those cookies? Which would happen, and I know the answer. Oh, Rivia. In Rivia. All right. That's okay. That's close enough to Boston. Everyone in Massachusetts says they're near Boston anyways, right? I say the people that aren't from Massachusetts, from the. I'm near Boston, an hour and a half away, but I'll still say it. Kathleen says I'm horrible at controlling my food intake with travel company parties. These events tip me into an abyss of indulging. So frustrating. Again, I don't disagree, Kathleen, that you're. You're horrible at this currently, but I bet you could get a lot better at it if you start practicing in a strategic, structured way. I think you'll find that you can get much better at your food intake when you travel, company parties, and different events. But I don't think you've ever really practiced it, getting better at controlling your food intake. I think you've done wild swings of you can't control yourself and you eat everything and you say, that's it. I'm going to go here and eat nothing. I very rarely doubt that you've gone into these situations wondering, how can I eat exactly the way that I want to? How much do I want to eat? How do I want to eat When I go to this travel company party situation, what would be the ideal amount for me to eat? Okay? How could I make that happen if I was at my best, how would I think? How would I feel? How could I set myself up for success? What strategies could I use? Have you ever thought about that, Kathleen? And I'm gonna guess no, because again, our brains are focused on the negative and we're problem oriented. So we just, oh, my God, I'm just a horrible overeater. And every time I go anywhere, I go overeat everything and I tried everything and nothing works. And I can't stop overeating, and I overeat everything, you know, and program yourself, then it's all about looking at the situation, saying, okay. And even afterwards, the core process of the program yourself then approach is the redo rehearsal technique. So we go to a social event and we say, okay, I want to eat real well, and we eat everything. But that's when the program is most effective, because that's when we take a second and we look back at it and we replay it in our mind and we learn from it. So if I go back in time, knowing what I know now, what would I have done differently? What could I have done differently in that situation? I've gotten a better result. When's the last time any of you ever asked that? When's the last time any of you, when you wanted to lose weight or on a diet, messed up and then said, oh, that's not how I want to be? If I go back in time, what could I have done differently? How could I have set myself up for more success? Have you ever asked that anyone? And I know you haven't ever asked it. I know this for a fact. But imagine if you did that consistently every day. What if every day you're looking at what you did and learning and growing and optimizing from it? Does that not make sense? You know, I. I don't feel like that's a crazy idea. Because we do that in most areas of our lives, but not with weight. With weight, we go into it and it's all or nothing. You know, it's an endurance test. Let me see how long I can be perfect. You know? Yes. Jane says, there we go. Jane says, no, I would not eat it if you took my important people from me. Okay, Now, I don't like to go to that. That's that example because it's kind of unpleasant. However, my point is this, Jane, that yes, you can do it. You just need to have the right motivation, and you have not found the right motivation yet. But instead of sitting there thinking like, oh, I can't control myself with sugar. I can't control sugar. Every day I want to not eat it. And then I eat it. I keep binging on it. See, like, you're just stuck in that. I would be spending some time and saying, do I really not want to eat sugar? Because Jim said, yeah, if the most important person, when you take one, I would not eat sugar at all. So it's not a. It's not an ability question. It's a motivation question. Which brings us right to the main point of program yourself then, which I will show you again. We use the goal weight blueprint, and in the goal weight blueprint, you go through the goal weight pyramid. Let's get to the gold weight pyramid here. This is the whole core of the program. I don't have such trouble finding this page. It's like it sticks together or something. It must be why there's. There you are. Okay. The goal weight pyramid. Mindset, lifestyle eating. This is flipped around. I just realized mindset, lifestyle and eating. And if you look at my mindset, the very first thing we do is motivation. You know, motivation, because motivation is the most important part of the whole process. And most of you have no idea how to run your motivation. Most of you can't create motivation in yourself. Most of you can't run your brain to be inspired and motivated at will. You just live by. Sometimes you're motivated, and then sometimes you're not. And you're just at the. The mercy and the whims of your motivation. But there's a science of motivation. If you really are serious about changing your weight and your health and your happiness, you better learn it. I mean, or you're just at the whim and the mercy of what? Just your mood, your motor just. It comes and goes. We can't do that, you know? And so again, Janet, the second we get to something really motivating, that's the first time. I bet that's the first time in your life you actually ever felt that you could have some influence over sugar. But it's been there the whole time. That's what I'm trying to say. And then Jane follows it up, said, I love your book, by the way. Thank you. The book that is she's referring to is this book, which is available now. This book's awesome. I'm telling you, we have to. 67 reviews and people are loving this book. It's so good. If you give a shit about your weight at all, you really ought to get this. You really ought to get this. Okay? There's nothing like it. I'm telling you, there's nothing like this. And it's a hypnotic book. There's 40 chapters, each one's a page, page and a half. And it's all hypnotic stories designed to change your brain so that you can think like a thin, healthy person. Helen says, I've lost the same 10 pounds over and over for 40 years. I never get there and stay there. Every meal, every day is a decision making process. I'm always talking myself through it instead of it being automatic. It's exhausting. The best way I deal with it is to not have anything in the house that is bad for me. Yeah, I get it, Helen, again, that's why Program yourself then. The goal of program yourself then is not to lose weight. By the way, folks, none of your goal is to lose weight. You've all lost weight and put it back on. Is that your goal? Are you happy that you lost weight? Are you upset that you put it back on? Okay, so your goal is not to lose weight. Your goal is to live at your goal weight for the rest of your life on near autopilot. And as far as I know, Program Yourselves is the only program I've ever seen that really addresses this. This is why with Program Yourself, then we start with maintenance. It's right there. Boom. Maintenance, right in the beginning. You don't just do maintenance when you get to your goal weight. How dare you? You really think you. You just are going to get your goal weight. You need to maintain day one to day two, week one to week two, month one to month two. And again, maintenance is a. Is a skill. It's saying, I'll break maintenance down while we go through what are the things that you need to. What does maintenance even mean? Let's stay at the same weight. Well, how do you stay at the same weight? You have to continue eating the same way. What stops you from eating the same way? You lose weight, then you. What happens? 85 to 95% of dieters that lose weight put it back on. So how does that happen? What happens? And let's be honest, your motivation goes away, right? You get thrown off track, you make a mistake. Times of stress coming to visit you and you don't know how to deal with them. You do not know how to deal with the. The actual nuts and bolts of living your goal. You've never learned it, though. It's not your fault. You've never learned any of this stuff. You've been conditioned by the diet your whole life. And the diets are just a branch of the food processing industry. The diets are not there to help you lose weight. Weight Watchers is owned by Weight Watchers, owned by Heinz. Jenny Craig was owned by Nestle. Atkins Food Products, owned by the same company, owns Cinnabon pretzels and Oni Anne's or Cinnabon and Onion's Pretzels. Did I just say SlimFast? I meant to say Atkins Slimfast. Almost the same company as Ben and Jerry's ice cream. These companies do not want you to lose weight. They do not want you to gain control of your brain so that you can eat, well, healthy, happy foods for the rest of your life. That's not what they want. And so they don't work. So, yeah, Helen, Helen, you more than anyone, you better go get that. That free hypnosis session I give you. That link's right in the comments. Go check it out. Nobody says you are right. My brain was turning the ideas behind Volumetrics into the volumetric diet. And that isn't helpful. Yes. Oh, Navi. Yes. About. Proud of you now. All right. Yes, that's what I mean. Like, once things are pointed out, you can see it now, you're free now. Now you're, you're. You've got elevated your level. Novi. Right. You've elevated up to another level. Okay. And now you can think at a higher level and figure it out in a way that works for you, but the principles work. Okay. Shelley says I got the book. I love it. Thank you. You're welcome. Thank you for getting the book. Yes, again, I'm super proud of this. It's exceeding my expectations. The reviews have been awesome. People have been loving it, buying versions for other people. Someone asked where you can get this. You can get it from a place where they sell books online. I'm not going to say it because then I will get restricted on TikTok and I don't want to get restricted yet. But you'll know, you know? Yeah. Get this book. I mean, this book is. This is the stuff I'm telling you. And by the way, it takes you through the whole program yourself then System. This is a very strategic book. So I literally take you through the whole program yourself in System in a very kind of easy, accessible way. So I definitely can't recommend this enough. And it's just such a fun, easy read. But it's very powerful. It really is. I'm. I was saying this before, but now it's been validated. I've had a lot of people go through the book, and I've got a lot of feedback. And to be honest, it validated everything I was hoping and kind of believed. I. When I was writing the book, I knew I thought it was really good. But you never know until other people do. What's up, Puskas? How's it going? I know I'm saying that name wrong. I know it. But I apologize. Victoria says get overstimulated at work. A lot of people annoy stimuli, so bet cortisol gets high, my impulse control goes away, and I'll eat easy grab foods, Cheetos or cookies. But okay, Victoria, I think that's a very enlightened observation you made. Okay. But the goal. The problem for Victoria here is not the eating. The eating is a symptom of a deeper problem that she's overstimulated. But that's not even the problem. The overstimulated is not even the problem. The bigger problem is that you don't have a reliable, consistent, trusted way to bring your stimulation down, to bring your relaxation, to calm yourself down, to ground yourself. You don't have a good strategy for grounding yourself right now. And if you did have a good strategy for grounding yourself at work, then all of a sudden the overstimulation isn't a problem and the eating is not as big of a problem. Right? So if you can bring yourself down to a more calm, grounded place, all of a sudden, the overstimulation comes back to just being stimulated and your ability to make better choices goes up. So again, Victoria, please go get the free hypnosis session I give you. It'll help you do that. Okay. And that is, in my opinion, at the core of so many. So many people's eating issues. You know, Betty says, so far I've listened. I've just listened to your clips. They have been a huge help to me. I've lost £20 in two months. I repeatedly tell. Tell myself I am thin and remind myself of my goals. I've been able to give up sugar. Nice job. Take a little screenshot of that. Good job, Betty. Proud of you. So I'm sure, Betty, you. You are. You have the free hypnosis session, I hope. Again, folks, I'm giving more than just a free hypnosis session where I get a whole PYT Spark program. The PYT session There's a training in there. Three steps to living at your goal weight. There's a report in there. How to use the program yourself, then method you can use gym. AI. What's the fourth thing? There's one more thing in there and I'm totally blanking on it. Let me think about this. Oh, the goal weight quiz. The goal weight quiz. Most you don't even know. Most of you don't even know what your goal weight is. So I give you that for it's all free. I give you all that for free. No one does this. But this is my mission. This is my mission in life's. Help as many people as possible with their goal weight. So make sure you get that, Betty. And great job. Great job. Okay, Keep it up. Jane says, what do you think of people who have ADD and are always chasing dopamine? Uhm, yeah, I mean, I think that's a real thing. But again, the question becomes, what are better ways that I can chase dopamine? I'm chasing dopamine every single day. And program yourself. Then we go through that. We literally talk about dopamine. You have a dopamine desire circuit and you have a dopamine control circuit and we talk about how to manage that and use that. So agreed. If you have add, you have a different set of challenges in front of you. But at the end of the day, no matter what your challenges are, you can almost always come up with more strategic, effective solutions to them. Okay, so, so, and I've worked with lots of people ad so you can absolutely do it. All right. But it is a challenge and it's real too. All right, Sadie says hypnosis session, please. Yes, go to. Well, you know what, I'm going to put this right into Instagram. If Instagram's still going live here. Oops. So go get the hypnosis session at that link. Do they ship internationally? No. This book, like if you are in another country, you just have to go to that website that sells a lot of books and other stuff and just go to your con, your country's website of it. So if you're like, I can say it, I'm about to get out of here. So if you go to Amazon, like dot com, you'd have to get a shift internationally. But if you go to like, if you're in Canada, say, then you go to Amazon ca. You don't have to ship it internationally anymore. You should just be able to get it. Okay, but you can get this all over the world. All right, Sold everywhere. Go Check it out. Cynthia says that's crazy. I never knew that. I'm sure you're referring to the diets. I know, it's crazy. It's crazy to realize these, they're sheeps and wolves clothes. Wolves in sheep's clothing. You gotta watch out for the diets. They're not there to help you. They're not there to help you lose weight. They're there to take your money and fill your head with rocks. Jane says I have a hard time look looking long term. It's instant gratification, which I search for. Yeah, agree, Jane. I mean, everyone deals with that. We're all wired to value the now more than the future, so that's absolutely true. Good news is that in program yourself then. We value now more than the future as well. But we value how we're going to feel two seconds after our last bite. We value that more than anything because that's the longest lasting phase. So I'm talking a little bit of code here, but. But yes, I hear what you're saying and we deal with that. Shelley says your thinking is so new for me and refreshing. I feel your wisdom is the key for my life. I've been using your hypnosis message and I feel like it's going to be an incredible gift to me. Thank you, Shelley. I appreciate you saying that. And yeah, I mean, I. I always try to tread the line between being humble and being honest. And yeah, I mean, like, what I'm saying is refreshing because it's not what you've heard your entire life about weight, because everything you've heard about your weight, your entire life is bullshit pretty much. If it comes from the diet industry. It's just, it's bullshit. It's not there to teach you how to live as a thin, healthy person. And that's all I need to say about that. Who have you ever learned how to live as a thin healthy person from? And you're quickly going to realize never, no one you know. And so that's my message is different. So thank you for saying that and thanks for listening. Helen says since it's backwards on my screen, please state the name of the book. What? This one's backwards. All right, let me, let me flip it over. It's the dao of living at your goal weight. I'd switch this before, but. Okay, there we go. So here you are for everyone in Facebook Instagram land. The dow of living at your goal weight. I get the. The author version here. So again, you get that Amazon, you can have it delivered Sometimes you have this delivered tomorrow, but again, we're talking about 100 pages, 40 chapters. Each chapter is a page, two pages. It's easy reading because it's built to be. It's modeled after the Dao de Jing. It's meant to be read multiple times. You leave this next to your bed on the coffee table in the bathroom, and you just pick it up and pick a random chapter. And these chapters are like hypnotic suggestions. So you don't just read it and go about your day. You read it and you internalize it and it affects you throughout the rest of your day. You know, that's the goal. Thank you, Cynthia. Yes, you can get on the river. I can say Amazon now because I'm about to get out of here, so I don't give a if they restrict me. But yeah, Amazon's got this book, so go check it out. Jane says, I want to do your program, but I spent so much money on chasing the desire to lose weight that I promised myself and friends I would not spend anymore. I get it. A lot of people have said that. I understand. So, Jane, just stay here for the free stuff. You know, I'm here every Monday through Friday. I'm here usually around noon Eastern. I was a little late today, but I'm usually here around noon Eastern, and I'm here to help you for free. Whatever questions you have, I will answer them. So, Jane, pop in here during the day. I will literally help you. Okay, you don't have to buy any program, but go, Go get the hypnosis session I give you because that's a free program literally giving you PYT Spark, which is. I mean, people sell programs that don't have as much as that has, and I'm giving it to you for free. So go check that out, Jane, you know, and that'll help you. Helen said. Great. Just ordered it. All right, Helen. Awesome. I think you're gonna love it. This book is awesome. And here you go. Jane, get this book. It's. It's. It's $3. This is $3 Kindle, and it's 9.99 to get the physical version. I'd strongly recommend getting the physical version. I think it's just got a whole different energy to it, but I. I think it's great. Novi says, should you read the chapters one at a time and reflect, then it doesn't matter. You know, I think I. You. I don't think you could read. This is like the potato chips. You can't just eat one. I think you would not be Able to just read one chapter and stop. I think you're going to find that you want to. I just got restricted earlier. You're going to read this. I want to keep reading it, but if you want to do one chapter at a time, that's fine, too. There is no right or wrong with this book. You. You can read it however you want, but I'm sure you will read it multiple times. You'll read different chapters in order, out of order, it does not matter. Anything you read in this book is going to help you think clearer and better, I believe. All right. Jane says, got your book. Thank you, Jane. I appreciate that. Thank you. Cynthia says, thank you. You're welcome, Cynthia. What's up, Vicki? How's it going? A friend of mine is trying to get on your email list and sent you an email requesting it. Oh, yeah, send it over to me. I will try and get them. Help me help them out. All right, Jane says, cost me 20 Canadian to get the physical copy, but I like the book in my hands. Damn, the exchange rate's a killer. Sorry, Jane, but at least you got it there now. So good, good. Read that book and that'll give you a sense of the program. Anyways, if you are it, you know, make sure it's something that does kind of fit for you. All right, I gotta get out of here. If. If you're not in my world, make sure you click that link in my bio. Click or go to program yourself, then dot com, go get the free hypnosis session. I actually got a lot more than that to give you, and I'm here every Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern. So pop in here, ask questions, anything you want. I'm happy to try and help you out as best I can. And if you like listening to this, but you can't make the lives. It's also a podcast. You can search program yourself. Then on any podcast platform, it'll pop up, and then you can listen anytime you want. All right. All right, everyone have a super duper day and we'll talk soon. Bye.
