Jim Katsoulis uses the DINT technique—Do It Now, Turkey—to beat procrastination. He visualizes his future self receiving the completed task as a gift, which removes worry and mental load from that future version of himself.
The DINT technique for taking action now. So I've struggled with procrastination my whole life, but there's been one technique above all others that's been the most effective in getting me to take action now on something that I really want to put off for the future. So DINT stands for Do It Now Turkey. And when I say that to myself, what I'm imagining in my mind is my future self. And I'm imagining how great it's going to be, what a gift it's going to be to my future self to do this thing now. Because that future me is not going to have to worry about it. It's not going to have to think about it. It's going to be already done.
