There we go. Hey, everyone. Welcome to today's program. Yourself then podcast. Today we're talking about when you're bored of eating healthy. This is going to happen. As a matter of fact, it's happened to a million times. And it's probably one of the main thing that knocks you off track is that you start off great, right? It doesn't matter what you choose. You start off great, you're eating healthier, and then at some point, inevitably, you get bored of eating healthy. You know what to eat, and you're ready to eat it, and then you don't want to eat it. Now, the big mistake most people make in this situation, because this is unavoidable, this is going to happen. Of course, of course. At some point, you're getting tired of eating healthy. That's what your brain's going to tell you, and that's what you're going to feel. Now, the big mistake most people make in this moment is they start to feel bored of it, don't want to do it, and then they start for forcing themselves to still eat healthy. This is where the big mistake happens. Instead of acknowledging that you're getting bored of eating healthy, you say, no, we got to keep going, and you force yourself to do it. And this is where the problem begins. Because now what happens is it's almost like taking a ball, if you ever held a ball under the water, right? And each day that goes by, you're pushing that ball deeper and deeper, right? But when you hold a ball deeper and deeper into water, it gets really hard to hold it, right? It gets more and more unwieldy, and eventually it pops up, right? And this is kind of what happens with your food boredom. You get sick of eating healthy, you're able to force yourself to do it for a couple more days, a couple more weeks, and then you blow off the path, way, way off the path. So this is the big mistake most people make. So what's the alternative, though? You say, well, yeah, but I got to. I got to make myself do the right thing, right? That's what I have to do. Well, you don't really have to make yourself do the right thing. I would suggest you do is to take a step back and approach this issue, this challenge from the perspective of how can I make eating healthier more interesting? How can I get myself to want to eat healthier?
That's the secret. Because what happens is when you. When you first start your weight loss plan, you start eating healthier. You have to understand that you have granular detail of how to eat like an overweight person. And when I say granular detail, I mean, you know what foods to make, you know what foods to snack on, you know what foods to get quickly when you're in your car, you know what restaurants to go to, what foods to order there. You've got all that figured out, and you've got a lot of variety and a lot of granular detail of how to do that. Now it comes to being healthy, you don't have that granular detail. You pretty much start being healthy with some big, vague concept. And maybe it's to stop eating carbs or to stop eating sugar to keep your calories low, or to only eat healthy, natural food, not eat processed food. It's these big kind of vague things. You don't have the granular detail of how to eat like a healthy person, though. And this is what you're looking to figure out. This is the process in front of you. It's not one of fighting against yourself for as long as you can. That's the big mistake people make. So when you start to feel, I'm bored of eating healthy, we want to dive into that. Okay, what's going on here? What exactly? I literally just had this conversation with a client of mine who came out onto salads, right? She's been eating salads for a while, been doing great. All of a sudden, she feel, oh, I sabotage myself. You didn't sabotage yourself. You didn't like the salads. They're getting boring to you. And instead of figuring out how to kind of refresh them or make them more interesting or to find something else that's healthy and just different, you try and force yourself to do it. And you did that for a little while, and then again, eventually the pressure builds, and then you go way off the path. So the secret is to acknowledge. Now, first you got to be aware, right? Always awareness. First you got to be aware of this feeling, right? And as you start, I don't want to eat. That's boring. Okay? Recognize that. And now start asking the question, what can I eat that's healthy? What can I eat that's going to help me lose weight that I would enjoy more? Now, the first thing I realize when you ask this question is, you don't have an answer. You don't know if you knew you'd be doing it. This is what I'm talking about. You don't have the granular understanding of how to eat and live and think like a thin, healthy person. And this is the process. This is the path you're walking is learning this, learning the granular details. When I get sick of this specific salad, what's an alternative salad I can have? When I get sick of salads in general, what else can I do? I have soups. When I get sick of salad and soup, what else do I have available? I got a healthy sandwich over here. When I get sick of that, what else do I have? Right. And maybe at that point then you can rotate again. But you need to work with yourself, not try and fight against yourself when you feel uninspired and bored by what you're reading. Oh, my goodness, it's like trying to move a giant boulder up a hill. It's so much work. Whereas if you took a step back and asked yourself the question, what other things can I have? Now again, you want to break it down. So let's just say lunch. Let's just stick with lunch. What other things can I have for lunch that aren't just salads? How can I tweak my salad? What else would I like to eat? And what happens is you start to expand your granular awareness and understanding and strategy of how to be a thin, healthy person. That works for you. Because you're never going to be able to just force yourself to eat the right foods forever. It's just not if you hate them, not if you're bored by them. It's just, it's. You're not going to win that battle. So the alternative again is to dive into those things and ask yourself, what can I do to make it better, more appealing, more enjoyable for me? And again, at first you know those answers, but once you start to develop those answers, that's when things start to change. So my client, you know, she had been getting her, you know, originally she was making salads herself. Then the place where she shops started making salads pre made there in the store, she started getting those. And then all of a sudden they outsourced that and started getting from a factory. They weren't as good and they didn't keep up as well. And so now she's wondering why she's getting tired of them. Well, again, not only she getting bored of it, but it's also the quality's gone down a little. But instead of trying to keep fighting along that path to eat these salads that aren't as appealing to her, she said, instead, I realized I need to go back to make my own salads and make it more interesting. Okay, now again, at some point you might get tired of eating salads. So what else Can I eat? But what most people do is they spend all their energy trying to force themselves to eat the thing they don't want to eat. Whereas if you took that energy back and used it to figure out some more alternative, creative foods that you actually enjoy, that also help you lose weight, that's how you get yourself to start acting and eating those foods consistently, long term, you see, because once you figure out what those alternatives are that you like relatively, you know what I mean? Now you got variety. Now all of a sudden you don't have that subconscious, you know, rebellion, right? You know, you have that subconscious feeling of, oh, God, I don't want to eat this, right? As soon as we get rid of that, say, oh, yeah, I could eat that. I could either get that. Which one do I want? That changes everything and it frees up so much energy because you don't realize how much energy you're using to try and force yourself to do something you don't really want to do. And so when you start getting creative and you start using that energy to find real solutions that are going to work for you, again, it's literally a completely different process than what you've done. And I hope this helps you out. So again, give this some thought. Anything you're struggling with. Again, if you're actively looking to lose weight now and. Or if you're not actively losing weight, this is probably one of the reasons why, because in your mind, you associate weight loss with boredom. You don't like the foods. They're boring and unappealing and unenjoyable for you. And so the answer is not into waiting for someday when you have this magical amount of willpower so you can just force yourself to eat shit you don't like. It's to use that energy now and figure out alternatives that are much more appealing to you and enjoyable. They're out there, I promise you. When you approach it this way again, it really. You end up in such a different place. Three months, six months, a year, three years, six years from now. All right? So give this a shot and think about this. If you want some support with this approach, click the link in my bio, go get the free hypnosis session I give you, go watch the video training I made for you and read the emails I sent you. As usual, I'm here to Help you with your weight, any struggles you're having, feel free to ask any questions about them. Hopefully I can give you some insights or at least, at the very least, a different perspective on it. That's what I kind of pride myself on, I think, is that, um, you know, I'll give you a different perspective on the weight loss thing than I think you normally get. You know, most of the time when it comes to weight loss, you're getting kind of that diet approach, and you're getting really the same. The same answers, strategies and solutions, just, you know, with slightly different, you know, dressing on them. So, yeah, Diane says totally. You can. If you don't like the. Your stuff. Yes, absolutely. You just won't. Right. That's what I mean. Like, again, it's. It's kind of like. It goes along with me to like the. The saying that an ounce of prevention is worth a. I should change that up. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. And I think of this in the same way, you know, I always say, you know, in the program, that's why I was stumbling. Is it an ounce of preventions worth a pound of willpower? And the same thing here, right? Because it's like, if you take a little extra time and figure out, you know, some alternatives that you like and, you know, where you're going to source the food, how you're going to make it, figure all that stuff out, now all of a sudden, you have alternatives that are actually appealing to you. And once something's even relatively appealing to you, or at the very least, not unappealing to you, it's. Everything's just easier because now you're not fighting so hard against yourself. Like, again, trying to. Trying to get yourself to do something you don't want to do is just a fool's errand, in my opinion. I don't know if you ever really win that battle, you know, and it always feels like a battle. What's up, Heather? Heather says, what are your favorite foods, Jim? My favorite foods. I love peanut butter. I love toast. I love fruits, vegetables. I love my salads. I love grains. Love burritos. Love spicy pasta, clams and shrimp. Love.
What else do I like? I love pizza. I make my own pizzas now. I got my pizza oven. I love pizza.
But. Yeah, but I mean, what I. Now, again, I got two categories of foods and program yourself. Then we break food into two categories. We have pleasure. We have clean and pleasure days. Another way to think about it is like, I kind of separate the food into food and fun and fuel. And so that's how I kind of have two categories, right? So if you ask me what favorite fuel foods are, you know, I'll give you one list. If you ask me what my favorite fun foods are, that's a different list. Typically now there's some crossover and overlap, but pretty much they're two different categories. And I was literally. I was just saying this. And this is. I think it's important to acknowledge. And maybe you don't agree with this, okay? But I will tell you, for me, like, there is no fruit or vegetable or salad on the planet that ever is going to compare to my pizzas. Like, you know what I mean? They just. They create different experiences. And I'm not gonna sit here and myself again, you know, when I'm like a spicy, you know, rabbi out of pasta, there's no salad or vegetable or fruit on the planet that. That has the fireworks going off as much as that, okay? But I'm okay with that. Again, there's a time and a place for everything. So for me, I want the foundation of my eating. The majority of it. I want to be about fuel, right? Because again, that's what food is here for. Food's primary purpose. I know you may not want to believe this, okay? But the food's primary purpose is to fuel your body, okay? Which doesn't mean we can't enjoy it for fun, too. We can, but the primary purpose is. It's fueling everything. Your entire life is fueled by the food you put in your mouth. And this is something. We've been conditioned since birth. And in our generation, meaning anyone who's alive right now, by the way, I'm not talking about Gen X or that. I'm talking about if you're alive and you've been. You've been alive for, I don't know, 20 to 80 years. We're all the same generation. The generation of. I mean, there's been lots of. Through lots of generations, okay? But the last 80 years, we've never had this much propaganda, mass media, commercials, consumerism, corporate influence. I mean, all this is constantly impacting us, you know, and so we are all the same generation in the sense that we have never, never has a culture been exposed to so much mental conditioning as we have. And so, yeah, you know, you got to put things in order and kind of, you know, retrain your brain a bit. But ultimately, food is for fuel, right? And every single thing in your life is dependent on the quality of fuel you're putting in your body. And I Guess a lot of people just don't think of it that way. You know, they think of weight primarily as a visual thing. They want to look better. But you know, literally every area of your life is, is being impacted by the, the food you're putting in your mouth and other, whatever you put in your mouth, you know, to eat. Diane says when I have money, I will sign up. Nice job, Diane. Great. And make sure you get on my list again for any of you, make sure you get the free self hypnosis session because again, one thing that's happened I just released the new blueprints are out. The, the PDFs been uploaded in the members area so hopefully everyone got those. It's in the program that's been a big focus mine for the last few months. But one of the big things that's happening now is the circle app. I use a circle app, which is a community app. My clients are already in there, but I'm going to have a full free section. And so again, even if you don't sign up for the program, I'm going to help you in that circle app as well. So go get, go get in there and then, yeah, when you get the money, sign up for the program. It's the, it's the best investment in your weight you'll ever make. I can promise you that.
Cheryl says I think toast is the perfect food. Yeah, me too. I, I love toast so much. I, I think about it now. I literally, I think this every day. I eat, I eat peanut butter toast five days a week virtually my whole life. Like, and I just love it. I don't know, I feel very fortunate that literally every time I eat it, I just love it, you know, so. And I love toast. I'm a carb man myself. I, oh my God, I could just, I could literally just eat a loaf of bread. I could eat a pizza, you know, I mean that's, that's kind of my, that's the thing I have to keep the biggest eye on that and alcohol. But those are my two big ones is carbs and.
And alcohol. But yeah, I love toast too. Oh my goodness. That was a challenge. That was a funny thing. That was just years and years and years ago, but I remember somebody got me, I think it was my brother got me a bread maker. So I don't know, bread maker arrived on the scene. Right. I don't know if anyone remembers when those first kind of came out, we'd be making bread. That was dangerous times for me.
Do not have a fresh loaf of Baked bread in your house. If you want to watch your weight, I will tell you that.
What's up, Julie? Julie says switching to unprocessed foods every day. Have you tasted a watermelon? Yeah, right. I know. A fresh watermelon. Yeah, I will tell you that too. You know, favorite foods is just a funny thing. So I will say one way my eating has shifted 100%. Nothing's 100%, but pretty much as close to 100% as I'm never gonna get is I do think of clean and fun days, but both of those foods are primarily unprocessed. So I really just across the board, I really don't eat very much processed food. I don't eat, I really almost eat no fast food and I eat very, very little processed food. Just either clean or fun, fun or pleasure days, fun or fuel. I don't eat a lot of product and I used to eat a ton of that shit, you know. And that, that's been a big shift in me just across the board and I will say that's one of the best things you can do in my opinion because you really, the more natural foods you eat, the more you calibrate your taste buds to natural flavors and kind of against unpro processed flavors. And that's a huge shift that can happen in you. It really, really supports your weight mastery when you're able to do that. So that's just a little note I want to make. Yeah, fresh fruits are amazing. I can't wait. I'm actually, I'm literally, I'm going to go maybe this weekend. I'm going to find out about apple picking because I know I feel like I always start too late. So I would love to get started early with the apple pick and get another, another pick in. I love apple picking, to me was like the first time ever I'd eaten like fresh ass food, you know, I mean like that's as fresh as it gets, right? You pick it and then eat it, you know, and it's like, I don't get all weird on you, but it's almost like there's life force and I don't know, it's just something, something's different, you know, and it just tastes different, it feels different, it's awesome. And so apple picking is one of my favorite things. I, I have now though this year and last year as well. And I did this a couple years ago. But this, this, this place I go to is the best. It's called Red Fire Farm and they have, they call it a farm Share or a csa, Community Supported Agriculture. But basically you probably have these around you. You gotta kind of search them out a little bit, you know what I mean? Farmers aren't great marketers most of the time, but you, you basically, you pay them some money in the beginning of the year, like in June or May, and then you get like 20 weeks of food, you know what I mean? That they're growing. And so, you know, the cool thing about my place is like, they got strawberry fields, so you can pick your own strawberries, pick your own blueberries, pick your own tomatoes, you know, peas, all this other stuff. And then you just get lots of vegetables every week and it's all fresh and it's just, you know, it's. And listen, I'm not trying to. I think sometimes, you know, people that eat healthy are so obnoxious about it. I. For me, it's always a journey, you know, and, but, but again, it's this journey to eating healthier and healthier because it's not even in our minds. You know what I mean? We can live our whole lives not even considering, like, eating real fresh food that was literally grown just picked a couple days ago. You know, I mean, like, it's, it's such a different paradigm of thinking about food at this point, which is crazy too, because if you think about it, for millions of years we've been on the Earth, pretty much we pick the food and we eat the food, right? And it's really only the last 50 to 80 years or so, 50 years where it's like we're eating, we're not doing that. And we might live our entire lives never eating something, just picked and eaten. And that just again, that's just one example of us living in this alien world. It's not natural, it's not normal, but it feels normal to us because that's just how we've lived now, you know, And I'm breaking out of it myself every year a little bit more. And this csa, though, is a huge step. Oh my goodness, you know, it's 20 weeks of putting all this fresh, fresh food, local, fresh, organic food picked yesterday into my body. You better believe it makes a difference. You better believe it makes a difference in my thinking, my emotions, my physical strength and flexibility and energy. Come on. Of course it makes it easier to manage my weight. So, you know, again, and I don't want to talk like an elitist, because I guess it's a privileged position to be even in a position to be able to get this. So I, I recognize that but again, putting some work into really sourcing high quality food. It's just, again, it's one of those things that it's, it's a leverage behavior. You get so much more back than you put in. You know, it really is worth the effort. But anyways.
Yeah, Cheryl says, yeah, I put, I put, I make my food look pretty on the plate. It's so colorful. That's great. Yeah, because you eat with your eyes, you know, So I think that's brilliant too. Again, taking care of the subtleties of eating. That's the secret. You know, if you're overweight, it's because you have an overweight mindset. You have the granular understanding how to eat like an overweight person. So it's easy and automatic for you. Even though you don't like it, it's just eating automatic and you're always going to default to easy and automatic. And so the real process of becoming thin forever, thin and healthy forever is really a process of learning how to think like a thin, healthy person on a granular level and then making that easy and automatic so that you just do that one. Easy, easy and automatic. That's how it is for me. And that's what I'm trying to tell you. Like, you know, you, you always think about weight loss as the. And you always think of the first phase of weight loss, because weight loss is just a phase, folks. It's just the part where you're losing weight. And depending how much weight you have to lose, that's only going to be a couple months or a couple years until you get to your goal weight. But the real goal is not to lose the weight. The real goal is to live at your goal weight. And when you look at your weight loss, most of the time you subconsciously only think about weight loss in that first phase when you first dive into it. And you know when you first dive into it, you don't know how to eat healthy. No, you fucking don't. Just because, you know you shouldn't eat carbs or you shouldn't eat. Just because, you know, logically some ideas doesn't mean you can do it, you know, and you have to recognize that piece because that's why you think of weight loss as being so hard, because you think, oh, I know what to do, I got to get myself to do it. It just, when people say that to me, oh, I know what to do. I just gotta get myself to do it. It's a complete, it reveals a complete and total ignorance of how you actually operate as A human being, because you can know all sorts of things. Knowing how to do something and being able to do it are two totally different things. And you know to some degree how to lose weight, but you have no idea how to get yourself to do it. And therein lies the problem. And again, no diet's going to help you with that, unfortunately. What's up, Jody? Jody said, did you hear the new thing, Ozempic mouth that causes dryness and less saliva, which in turn is causing increased cavities in adults? No, I have not heard that one again. You know, I, People ask me all the time, like what I think of the GLP1s and I'm not here to put anything down. I'm here to be supportive. I guess I put diets down constantly. But okay, so other than diets, I'm not really looking to put anything down. So I, I don't have GLP1s. I don't want to talk negative about them, but I do want you to know that GLP1 is not the best way to lose weight long term. The best way to really take care of your weight long term is to, is to get your mindset right, your lifestyle right, your reading right, and have it work in a way that really resonates with you. So you don't need to inject yourself and put this stuff again. They're just, they're just at the beginning. I, I say this all the time in terms of the GLP1s. One thing I'll say is that you, the way you think about them right now is the best you're going to think about them because they haven't done any research on it long term. They've done research on diabetics for 20 years they've been studying the effects it has on diabetics because that's what the medicine was created for. It's a fascinating story actually. They actually found Gila monsters had saliva that really figured this out, but it had something to do with Gila monster saliva. And then they tried replicating that and then they gave it to people. They found out that it increased their, their insulin. You know, it allowed their pancreas to create more insulin, but then it had the also added effect of reducing people's hunger. So it's fascinating stuff. But anyways, again, they've studied it with diabetics, but they have not studied GLP1 effects on people that do it, I've noticed, not have diabetes. So this is, the trial's going on right now. I mean, you're watching it so you are most likely. I mean, the way medicine works and when you crank up your GLP1 by astronomical levels. Yeah, you're probably going to have. It's probably of other effects that you didn't consider. And we will. Those will reveal themselves over time. But, you know, the chances are, you know, history says that those effects are typically more on the negative side than the positive side. So I doubt people will be thinking as positively about GLP1s as they do right now, because right now, again, they've got the advantage of being new to the market. It's all new. And there's not a lot of, you know, there's just not a lot of study or knowledge about it, really. Not really. So, yeah, that's interesting. Not necessarily surprised. What's up, Heather? Heather says in UK that scrumping best on board a pony is perfect height to load up apples from the orchards when landowners aren't present. Scrumping. I like that. Well, I need to go scrumping.
I can't wait to go apple scrumping. And actually, just speaking of that, right, so this is what I mean, you know, for me, like, okay, so. So it's like, oh, I know apples, right? And I've been picking apples now for, I don't know, 25 years. I've been doing it for a while. I live up in New England and it's. It's a thing. And I never really did it growing up, but. But I've been doing it for a while, but. So I go and pick my apples I like and. Cool. But then all of a sudden, it's like, I found this other orchard. It's like 25 minutes up the road from me, and they've got all heirloom apples. It's. It's phenomenal. But this is what I mean. Like. Like all of us in America, you have a very limited psychological.
Mindset of fresh, healthy food. Like, you don't have a lot of granular understanding of types of apples, types of peppers, types of, you know, squashes, types of fruits, vegetables. You don't have a lot of knowledge of those things. You don't have a lot of granular, detailed knowledge of it. And now, again, now we can talk about flavors of potato chips. We could talk about flavors of Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
Right? You probably have very granular knowledge of those things. Okay? And so this matters and so the apples. What I'm saying is an example for me, like, again, this. I'm just giving an example. Like, it makes a difference. The more I Learn about apples. The more I want to eat them, I don't know, they just becomes more than like. Because growing up, an apple was a Red Delicious apple. That was an apple to me growing up. Spinach was spinach, frozen spinach. Peas were peas out of a lora can. That was it. That's it. As a matter of fact, I say that because I literally had fresh peas yesterday for the first time in my life. I'd never had peas that weren't out of a lairan until yesterday.
And it's like that. You know what I mean? Like, like. So these fruits were like, it was one thing.
And when you think of things in just one thing, it's very limiting because Red Delicious apples, I don't really, I don't really like them that much. And now I say, oh, I don't like apples. You don't like apples? You don't like Red Delicious apples. Right. It's like there's one potato chip.
I don't like potato chips. You know, I could say that. Let's try a different kind. So it's just, I'm telling you, like it affection on a very subtle level. Like when you have more granular detail of like types of apples now it's like there's. And by the way, not only, I mean, I'm already past the Red Delicious last year, that passed a long time ago, but as soon as you start getting heirloom apples and there's all these different kinds of different qualities, like it makes you interface with the apple differently. I don't want to sound like a crazy person, but I'm telling you, like, the more you start to understand fruits, vegetables, healthy food on a granular level, the easier it is to eat more of it. It's more appealing, it's more interesting, it's a different experience. So I can go to the, the heirloom apple place and pick some weird ass apple and it's like, well, maybe it's super sour. It's interesting though, honestly. You know what it's like. I used to work in a brewery and beer was like this, you know, for, for a hundred years. Beer was American lager, Budweiser, Coors, Michelob. Right? And so there's, it seems like, oh my God, there's all these different types of beer. No, there's one type of beer, it was a lager, American lager, one type of beer. And all the other types of beers were illegal. You couldn't make them. And so that was a big revolution in, in brewing. I don't know maybe 20 years ago, 30 years ago, where you were allowed to make different types of beer, Right. And now, again, if anyone drinks beer, you know, there's 6 million types of beer. Right? But it's like. It's just we live in a paradigm where, oh, if an apple to me is a Red Delicious apple, I don't like apples. Well, there's 600 other apples you might love, you know, and so this is happening to you. I don't like salads. Well, there's 6 million salads. I don't like that lettuce. There's up 50 other lettuces, you know, and it's like. But you don't think that way if you're like me anyways, you know. Oh, it's a salad. A salad is. What's a salad? You know what a salad was growing up? The salad was iceberg lettuce, maybe some carrots, a cucumber, maybe a tomato, you know, and then, to be honest, a lot of that stuff, it was fine. The iceberg wasn't that great. A carrot's a carrot, you know, cucumbers, a carrot, cucumber. And the tomatoes. Tomatoes are another one. Right? Again, there's a million tomatoes, but I would always get that same tomato. How much flavor did, you know, Industrial tomato. So there's a whole world of excitement out there with healthy foods that most people kind of don't know. But.
He says, I love to hear that it is something that you're continuing to work on and evolve more and more. Very inspiring and motivating. Thank you. Yeah, you're welcome. And that's one of my big messages, you know, to. To my clients and to all of you is that you have to stop thinking about weight loss as like, a destination. It's really not, you know. Yes, it's a destination in the sense. Okay, the scale gets to a number, and then you stay there. Ideally, that's the goal, Right? But the reality of living that is that every day, it's different. Every day is unique. Every day brings its own challenges and, you know, supports, you know, and so you have to have the ability to be flexible. And it's a journey. You know, for me, I lost over £50 over 30 years ago, but I'm still. I'm still in the game, you know, even though the scale just stays where it stays now, I'm still in the game and loving it more than ever. You know, always optimizing, always improving, always growing. And I think that's a key part of the process because I think dieters like, if you've even gotten your goal weight, like, you get to your goal weight, and then what you need as a human, you need something to look forward to. You've got to be able to look forward to things in life or you're going to get bored. So even if you're at your goal weight, if you can't look forward to more weight loss, if you can't look forward to food, it's very easy to just get bored and then go back to the food. And I think this is what sabotages a lot of people. So for me, I'm constantly. I'm looking to evolve and grow and get better and optimize and improve. I always say this right in program yourself. Then we take the weight loss. We wrap it in personal development. So for me, this is really a process of personal development more than it is even weight loss. And that's what sets me up, though. Okay, now I'm at my goal weight, but I don't feel like I'm just still excited. How good can I feel? How easy can I make this? How much more enjoyment can I get? How much more nutrition can I put in my body? How much, you know, deeper into the natural world can I go? It just never ends. And it's always interesting and exciting to me. And I think that's a crucial piece of the puzzle, because I think when you just look at weight, what's your goal? Just to get to that weight. And then what. What are you going to focus on then? Like, no one really thinks past that point. And by the way, it's estimated 95% of people that lose weight on a diet put it back on. So just getting to your goal weight doesn't mean you're going to stay there, obviously. So you've got to. There's got to be more to it. And part of is what I'm saying here, you know, it's just mindset shift.
Yeah. Oh, yeah, I see. Yeah. Christy over here says, I feel like processed food hijacks my brain. It does hijack your brain. It literally does. Ultra processed food absolutely hijacks your brain. It literally rewires it. So there's no question about that. That. That's a proven fact. Grow. They. They. You know, I. I say this all the time. Ben and Jerry's. Right. So again, you know, like, Ben and Jerry's, you get this image of, like, hippies up in the cabin in Vermont testing out different flavors. It's not that way. You know, Unilever owns Ben and Jerry's now. Anyways, and the way they come up with new ice cream flavors, they put people into their. Into an FMRI machine and scan their brain in real time while they drip different ice cream solutions into their mouth, looking for the ice cream that triggers their pleasure centers the most. So this is how they're coming up with flavors now. You know, it's very manipulative, it's very scientific. And so, yes, processed food absolutely hijacks your brain, folks. There's no way around that. If you think it doesn't, you're just thinking wrong. Plain and simple. So, yeah, Chris says veggies from a CSA taste so much better than store bought veggies. They absolutely do. And that's why I say to you again, not like, oh, come on, you gotta eat that. That stuff tastes like shit. But get curious. Like, it really is. It really is fundamentally different. Like, like it's, you know, again, like, that's such a good. I never even talked about the apple. I've never even thought about that. But yeah, like, like a Red Delicious. And again, if you like Red Delicious, great. Okay. But it's like growing up, an apple was a Red Delicious apple. That's what it was. Now that's not real. Like, in the real world, there was tons of apples. I just didn't know about them, you see. So again, once I got outside of just store bought apple fruits and vegetables and got to the CSA thing, it was like, holy. Oh, my God. It's. It's a lot different, you know, so, yeah, it's interesting when you start doing that. What's up, Zoya? So says Jim. Just want to say how impactful your advice has been. It really broke me out of my mindset. I've been stuck in. I stopped thinking about weight loss as a short term goal. Yeah, you're welcome, Zoya. Thanks for saying that. Nutritionists in general don't target the mindset aspect at all. In my country, they don't hear, you know, either. And so, yeah, I appreciate that, Zoya. Thank you for letting me know that I've been helping you. That's what I'm here for. Right? So that makes me happy.
And listen to what Zoya is saying. Right. The, the idea of, of stop thinking about weight loss as a short term thing is one of the best things you can do. And I think it's fundamental. I think it's, it's necessary if you're going to keep the weight off, is that you have to start thinking about.
You have to start thinking about weight loss as a forever thing, right? Because again, the core question is this. How long would you like to live at your goal weight? How long you want to keep the weight off for? Right. And the answer is probably forever. I'm imagining. And so if you want to keep the weight off forever, you need to manage your weight forever. So again, it's. You're not tricking yourself, you're not lying to yourself. This is a long term thing, you know, and that's a good thing, by the way, you know, because you always get to improve, grow, get better, optimize, have something to focus on. So I think it's good that way. But tick tock. If you got any questions, feel free to ask them. I know I've been yapping a bit here and I may have missed your questions. And if you asked a question I missed, please just re ask it. Sometimes it cuts questions off.
Yeah.
A lot of people on TikTok lately.
Or people coming from like Facebook these days.
The banji Andrew says, oh, wow. Fresh peas are the only kind I will eat. Oh, Honey crisp apple. Yep. Yes, sir. And I love the honey crisps. You know, I love the honey crisp apple. What? My only complaint about it is like, they're like this big. It's like, can we make a normal size honey crisp? Can they put that in the mix?
I get a bag of honey crisps and it's like four apples in there and it's like they make them smaller. My apple of choice, my go to apple most of the year is galas. Those are kind of my ones. I love those.
But I really, I love trying different apples. That's why I love this heirloom place. It's up in Brattleboro, Vermont. I forget the name of it even. It's. It's so cool. It's such a cool experience too, because it's like, it's even a cool orchard. Like, it's just, it's fun to walk around. I don't know, it's just got cool little paths and it's different, right, because they're growing so many different types of apples. It's like I love regular orchards too, but they're kind of like, they're more big. Insisted. They're cool too, but. But these ones are. It's just different as you walk through woods. It's so neat there. But I think kind of lends to the whole experience as well. But yeah, fresh peas. I, I never had fresh peas. And it's funny and I will tell you, I, I didn't love, I didn't love them.
They Weren't the greatest to me, but why? Because I'm used to eating lesser peas with sugar in them. You know what I mean? So that's what I expect. That's what I know. That's what I like. And when all of a sudden something kind of violates your expectations, you tend not to like it as much, you know? So, again, I recognize that doesn't mean I don't like peas. It's just. I know to myself, oh, I need to get used to fresh peas, you know? But again, it's almost, you know, how am I 50 years old? I've never had a fresh pee in my life. But that's been my life. The whole. This whole journey for me is stuff like that. You know what I mean? Like, oh, my God, I've never had a fresh pea. Oh, my God. You know, he's like, I've been living all this time, I thought. And it's so much like that. I've never had natural peanut butter. What's that? You know, I'm not, you know. Flour. Flourless toast. What's that? It's just. It's just that forever. And I expect that to go on forever. And it's fun and exciting. Keeps things interesting, you know.
But. Yeah. Honey crisps.
Yeah. If anyone's got any questions, feel free to ask them. There's Vicki. It's a lifelong and forever. And that's okay with me. Yeah, it has to be okay with you. Right? That's what I say to all you. It's got to be okay or what? You know what I mean? Like, it's just like. It's just like that, you know? Yeah. And he says, nice type, but I'm interested in your program. Yeah. Again, I'll be here. So again, you know, make sure you get on my list, though, because again, I got lots of free stuff coming. I have been focusing a lot of my clients and customers. The big thing I've been focusing on is my program and really getting it just humming along on its own. And that's why I really. I put so much time into the goal weight blueprint, because it's just laid out, I think so beautifully, and it's really built for a person to go through on their own and really identify, you know, how to think, live, and eat like a thin, healthy person. So that's finished now. And so now where I'm really putting a lot of focus on is a circle app. And again, that's going to benefit the clients that are in the program. You're going to benefit from it. But there's also going to be a free area and I got a bunch of free stuff coming. So again, this is my mission in life to help as many people as possible live at their goal weight. And whether you join my program or not, I'm literally here to help you out. I know some people say, well then if you care so much, why don't you just give everything away for free? I've done that and it doesn't work. Surprisingly, people seem to value what they invest in and I've tested this out a number of times. I've done this professionally for over 20 years. So again what I do is I, I give you the best value possible with my program and. But I have found that people in invest get the best results, you know, so anyways, but there's also free, there's gonna be a bunch of free stuff I give you too. So I'm happy to help you no matter what he says. Any. To hear the new blueprint on audio instead of having to read them. Oh, to hear the new blueprints on audio instead of having to read them. Yeah, that'd be interesting, huh? And if I just read that, maybe I will an audio version of it. That'd be kind of cool. Yeah, I'll think about that. I kind of at least like right in the middle Vicki is at least right now I'm kind of going through the blueprints right like so week to week. So if you go look at the, the PYT Q A replays, I'm basically just going through the entire blueprints and so you can go listen to those anyways. And.
I think personally those are better to listen to than the book because the book, I could have made that book 500 pages. Okay, I'll tell you a secret. I have a book version of it that's probably 350 pages. I said I can't do. This is overwhelming. So I really work to make the workbook primarily the questions and just enough context that you can kind of go through it, answer the questions. But again, I strongly suggest you listen to the bonus training that goes along with each one because there's so much more context there and I think it's valuable. Again, there's no rush. You know, you have to rush through the blueprints and everyone wants to, but again there's no rush. So you take your time with them. But I'll think about, yeah, I'll think about having, having the audio version. That's another thing I turned my focus to. I'm Working on the Circle app. But I'm also now I'm finally working on finishing up my books. I got two books coming. I expect to have them done this year. And I know I always say I expect things done and I don't get them done later. But these ones are both probably. One's about 80% done and the other one is pretty close. The other one's short. So it's going to be an easy, easy breezy read. It's really cool. I can't wait till you see it. You're gonna love it. I'm working on that one now. And then the other one is a little bit more kind of typical book, non fiction explanation books like that. Sweet Quest says Macintosh apples only come for a couple of months and my hubby goes nuts over them. Yeah, Max, we got those up here. I don't love Max. Although again, you know, it just depends on what Max you're getting that makes an impact. Right? But yeah, I'm a big fan of Max as well. Huge fan of them. Zoya says my country is agro based. It's always been fresh fruit and vegetables. Canned fruit and vegetables are considered expensive in general here. Yeah, well, they're very fortunate, Zoya. And I mean, I hope in America there starts to be a shift towards that, you know, usually, you know, depending where you live. I know not everyone has the situation, but oftentimes there are a lot more fresh foods available than you may realize, you know, because as I said, there are farms around. Farms aren't, you know, farmers typically aren't great marketers, so you have to kind of seek them out. But, you know, a lot of times there are a lot more farms around you than you realize. And I speak from experience because again, this CSA has been around me for years and I just never, I don't know, it just never went in. So. That's a nice situation, Zoya, though. Yeah. When the fresher the food is, obviously the better, you know.
Man, you says you're my only hope right now. Can't afford GLP1. Yeah, but I mean, the end of the day that might be a good thing, so who knows, right? Yeah, the. Oh, you said that, Angie. Right? You said we were on the zepbound. Yeah, well, program yourself in is considerably less than that, I would imagine. At least it's a one one time payment and then, then you're, you're done with it. Whereas that stuff, you have to be on there forever. Right. But. All right, everyone get out of here. Got a busy day. Busy, busy. So Have a super duper day here. If you're not my world, click the link, go to my bio or go to program yourself Dingo with a free hypnosis session. Get on my email list. And if you like this, I'm here every Monday through Friday, usually around noon Eastern, to answer any questions or coach you with anything you may need help with. And if you like this and you missed the live want to listen to it? It's also a podcast. Program yourself, then search any podcast platform, go check it out and.
And yeah, you can go listen to it whenever you want. Okay. Because I put them up there every day. So Angie says. Yeah, correct. 400 bucks a month. Yeah. There you go, Angie. So that's pretty much, you know, the price of the program.
That one month. Pretty much the price of the program. So. And then, you know, if you really want to gold it up, you know, you get get at the coaching as well. That's a couple months of. Of Zepbound, but that's even more powerful. But I wrote and have a super duper day and we will talk soon. Bye. Yeah, and you say, as money's tight, but I'm interested in your program. Yeah, again, I'll be here. So again, you know, make sure you get on my list, though, because again, I got lots of free stuff coming. I have been focusing a lot of my clients and customers. The big thing I've been focusing on is my program and really getting.
