Why Dieting Doesn't Work

This is a YouTube video titled "Why Dieting Doesn't Work" created on July 16, 2025. The content likely discusses issues related to dieting and why common dieting approaches may fail, but no conversational elements or multiple speakers are indicated in the excerpt.
It. Hey, everyone. Welcome to today's program Yourself Thin Podcast. Today we're talking about why dieting doesn't work. One of my favorite topics on the world. I know I talk about this all the time, but I'm going to explicitly talk about it today. And I'm gonna start by saying that, yes, diets work for a little while, potentially. All right? So I wanna just get that out of the way. Don't freak out. I lost 30 pounds on a diet, Jim. What are you talking about? Yeah, I know we can all lose weight on a diet for a little while. I'm not arguing that that's what diets are really meant to do. They're meant to get you fired up for a little while, do crazy shit and lose some weight. Great. You know, but I'm gonna assume. I'm gonna start this with a question. How long you wanna keep the weight off for? A big question that I have for you. How long would you like to keep the weight off for? How long do you want to live at your goal weight? That's the big question. What's your answer? I can't hear you technically, but I can kind of hear you and I hear you saying forever. I want to live my goal forever, Jim. Okay, great. Now we get into the real conversation. Why diets don't work. Diets do not help you to live at your goal weight forever. Long term, there's not a single diet. If you think about this, of all the years of dieting, there's well over 100 years of dieting. Many, many, many diets. You've tried a lot of them, right? Out of all those years of dieting, not one diet, not a single one of those diets rises to the top of the list as being the most effective long term. Now, if we're talking about short term, which one makes you lose weight the fastest? Well, you know, you can argue that all day long. Okay? So again, I'm not going to argue that diets can help you lose weight quickly, because they can. What I'm talking about is living at your goal weight for the rest of your life. And all of a sudden it becomes extremely obvious that no diet, no diet rises to the top of list to help you do that. Which is a crazy thought, right? Think about all the diets have been out there. Low carb, low fat, Weight Watchers, counting points, counting calories, restricting eating, intermittent fasting, everything Mediterranean. Go to the good ones. Right? Again, I like these ones more Mediterranean, Ornish diet, Dash diet, you know, vegetarian, vegan, carnivore, South Beach, Jenny Craig, it doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Does not matter. Anyone you pick is going to be the same result. They don't work well long term. So why don't they work well long term? Right. That's the big question. And they don't. But I'll let you, you know, accept that on your own time. But why don't they work? And I think it's pretty obvious when you are able to step out of the diet mindset, which is something I've been able to do, thankfully. And once you step out of that mindset, it's very much. It's. It feels to me. I've never been in an actual cult, but it feels like probably the experience people I've looked into that have been parts of cult describe where it's like when you're a part of the cult, you were in it, you just thought a different way. You looked at one thing and you thought one thing about it. Right? Then they get out of the cult and they look at that same thing and they think totally different about it. Right. And so I think that's a lot of what's going on with dieting is that you, me, all of us, literally everyone, you're born into this culture where the only way you're ever shown how to manage your weight is to diet or surgery or, you know, injections now. But basically it's been dieting our whole lives. And so our brain has just been filled up anytime it comes to weight loss. Diet, diet, diet, diet, diet. And that is the big trick that's been pulled on us. Okay? So I'm not speaking to the specific nutritional philosophies of each diet. I'm not going to argue low fat versus low carb or keto versus vegetarian. I'm not going to argue that because it's bigger than that. It's the mindset that contains all those nutritional philosophies that's the problem. And you, your entire life have existed within that mental prison of the diet industry. And thinking about dieting as the way we lose weight. And the reason this doesn't work is because it's the wrong approach. So one of my favorite ways to explain this lately has been that if you signed up for a marathon and you're going to run a marathon, but your strategy is you're going to run it like a sprinter. No, I'm going to do. No one's ever done this before. I'm going to sprint the whole marathon. Right. That's the plan. You know, the gun goes off and you start sprinting. And for the first eighth of a mile, you're first place by a lot. You're way out in front. Oh, my God, it's working. This is really crazy, right? You got 24,5 more miles to go, right? For the first eighth of the mile, you were number one by, you know, by a bunch. But then you collapsed and didn't even finish the race, you know, and so this is the big problem with dieting. It's not the nutritional philosophies of it so much. Although, you know, keto's as dumb as it gets. But whatever, I'm just gonna put that to the side. But okay, but pick any diet. And if you're going to approach changing your weight through a diet mindset, what that means is you're going to sprint in a marathon, right? Because we go back to the first question I asked you. I said, how long you want to keep the weight off for? Remember I asked you that? How long you want to keep the weight off for? And I thought I heard you say forever, okay? So if your goal is to keep the weight off forever, forever, it's a marathon. It's a never ending marathon. Managing your weight is a never ending marathon, right? Every time you've tried to lose weight in the past, don't tell me you haven't tried sprinting it. Don't tell me that when you go into your first day of the diet and you cut 70% of your calories, when you go into the first day of your diet and you say, that's it, I'm not going to eat any more carbs anymore. When you go on the first day of your diet and you say, that's it, I'm not eating for 16 hours. And just, you know, it goes on and on, right? But the point is that it's so overwhelming, you know, to make such a giant shift in your behavior so completely and totally in one day is where the core problem starts. And that's the door kind of you step through to enter this dieting mindset. And this is your core reason why dieting doesn't work. It really is a short term approach, just like sprinting is a short term approach and strategy for a short race. And in a short race, sprinting is the perfect strategy. In a marathon, it's the worst strategy. So if you've got, you know, some real big event at the end of the month or next month that you really need to lose weight for, diet, that's the answer. But if you want to Keep the weight off for good. Dieting is not a good strategy because the approach is ridiculous. Now, I know you've been conditioned your entire life to think, well, if I really want it, if I'm really motivated, I'll just fight through it. I'll just sprint the whole marathon. Think about it. Now, by the way, I know most of you don't run. I don't either. But notice how irrational your brain is because you're like, yeah, I could sprint a marathon. Why does anyone do it? They'll just sprint it. You see, when you're not in the actual experience of sprinting, when you're not in the actual experience of dieting, your brain says, yeah, we could do that. No big deal, no problem. Your brain be crazy sometimes. You cannot trust your brain. Just so you know, brain, your brain's not built to diet, I will tell you that. But your brain does funny things and it thinks funny stuff, you know? So the point being that a lot of times you're thinking about dieting, I'll do. I can do that. I can. I can just eat, no carbs, I can do whatever. And then you get into it, maybe you can do it for a couple days. And then it gets exponentially harder each and every day. And this is the same pattern you've gone through many times. I don't even know you. And I know this is the pattern you've gone through. You jump into a diet, both feet, 100%, doing everything perfect doesn't matter. The philosophy, doesn't matter. The diet specifically. It's always the same process. You jump in 100%, do it perfectly for a little while, maybe a couple days, maybe a couple weeks. Sometimes you do it for a couple months and lose a significant amount of weight, but it all ends up in the same place. You can't keep it up, you don't want to keep it up, and you go back to doing what you always do. That's the thing you've repeated infinite number of times. And you're on this diet, hamster wheel, which is exactly where they want you to be. Because diet. The diet companies do not want you to lose weight and keep it off for two reasons. The big reason is that dieting is a recurring business. Recurring business model, Right? So it's based on recurring business. Right. Someone goes on a diet this year, it doesn't work. Next year, they come back same weight or heavier, that doesn't work. They come back the next year, it doesn't work. I don't know. But the bigger reason, they don't want you to lose weight is because the diet industry is a branch of the food industry. All the big diets that you've learned from in your life, almost all of them have been owned by giant food companies. Weight Watchers was owned by Heinz. Jenny Craig was owned by Nestle. Atkins Food Products, owned by the same company, owns on pretzels. And Cinnabon Slim Fast, owned by the same company, owns Ben and Jerry's ice cream. These companies do not wants you to stop eating processed, unhealthy food so that you can live your goal weight forever. It hurts their bottom line in a number of ways. So they basically fill your head up with rocks while you try and diet. And then you go back to doing what you always do, and you stay in this perpetual cycle of not again. The all or nothing cycle of doing nothing. And then you get, oh, I'm going to do everything perfect. Do it for a little perfect for a little while, back to nothing for a long time. Do everything for a little while, back to nothing for a long time. And you do this until eventually you came and get yourself to do the thing for a little while. Which is where most of my clients kind of start the program at. They, you know, they. They think about weight loss all day long every day, but they never actually can get themselves to do anything, you know, and that's where a lot of my clients kind of show up in my world. All right, so these are. I'll get. I'll stop here. This is the big reasons why dieting doesn't work. I mean, I could go. I could literally just could do a literal marathon of why diets don't work. But I'm just gonna, I'm gonna stop here for now. But. But again, if you want to find a different approach, I offer you. And I'm not here just to, you know, focus on the problems. I focus on the problems because I have a solution. And the solution, I believe, is program yourself then. And I give you a free hypnosis. There's a free training, a bunch of free shit to help you really master your weight. Again, it is all free. So all you need to do is click on the link in my bio, click on my little picture. Wherever you're at, whatever app, click my picture. There should be a link right there. Click it. Take you two seconds, sign up, go get the hypnosis session, get on my email list. I got a bunch of cool stuff coming your way on top of what I give you right away. And. Or go to program yourself then.com you can get the session there as well. But again, if you're really serious about your weight, stop blaming yourself like you're broken and realize you're totally fine. You have just never learned how to truly change your weight. And once you learn that information, I think you're going to be surprised at how much easier it is to lose weight and then more importantly, to live there for the rest of your life. So I hope that helps you out. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. I'm here every day, Monday through Friday. And I get here because I'm here to help you all out. Okay, for me, wait is life and death, you know, and so I am here to genuinely do what I can to, you know, kind of spread the word that dieting sucks and doesn't work. And there's a better way to approach your way. So if you have any specific questions, I'm happy to help you out. Brenda Jones says good morning. Thank you for all your help. You're welcome. You're welcome. That's what I do this for. Tick tock, Tick tock. If I don't stay on top of tick tock, I miss some of the questions and I can never find them ever again. Amelia says I just constantly find myself in the binge on, off cycle. Not sure why. Great. I know why. There's a bunch of reasons why. So I can't say specifically for you, but I want to give you a way of looking at it that should help you get to the truth of why you're doing it. And so what we want to know. Binge on, off cycle, right? Very common, people getting this all the time. I'm going to suggest that this is a symptom of a diet mindset. And, and I believe that a lot of the binging on and off is directly related to how you think about weight loss, which is an all or nothing mindset. If you're a dieter, you're an all or nothing thinker. In program yourself, then we really build around the mindset of being all or something as opposed to being all or nothing. And so I think this is the first distinction with program yourself then from dieting. Okay? And so when you find the binge on and off thing, it's very diety, right? Because sometimes you're doing great, I'm doing great, and then sometimes, oh, my God, I'm eating everything. But let's take a step back and think about why that may be. Because what's the doing great typically, for most dieters, doing great is, oh, My God, I've kept my calories really low. I haven't had any sugar, I haven't done any. It's all right. You've been doing whatever you've been doing really, really well. Been restricting, I've been cutting, I've been eliminating and working out really hard. I'm doing everything perfect. Great. But what that's doing a lot of times, because it's so you think like a pendulum, right? And so it's like you go from doing nothing, you're eating like total. You get upset, right? Because this is how every dieter starts. You're just living your life, doing what you're doing, eating what you're eating, living how you're living. And then all of a sudden there's the pain based moment. You see a picture of yourself, you catch your reflection, you step on the scale, your clothes aren't fitting, some friend says something shitty to you, you got a doctor's appointment coming up and you have to. You're focused on your weight now and it hurts and it's painful and you freak out. You get really upset about it and you say, that is it. Activate diet mode. I need to fix this. How are you going to fix it? You're going to jump in 100 with whatever plan it is and you're going to overwhelm yourself. And let's just say, let's just say we'll go with a classic because do not forget, for most of dieting history, it would say, hey, let's cut it down to 1000 calories. Let's cut, cut your weight down to 15, 1200 calories. Okay, well, for most Americans, that's a 50 to 60 to 70% calorie reduction on day one. So if you decide tomorrow you're going to cut your normal calories down by 60%, what do you think that's going to do to the system here? What do you think that's going to do to your brain and body? What do we think, what do you think's gonna happen if I cut 60% of your calories out tomorrow? The next day, the next day, the next day, what's the experience of that? Don't ever think of that. Well, it doesn't matter. Again, this is why I go back to the sprinting. In a marathon, I know before you're actually sprinting, you feel like you could just sprint forever, but go sprint for, go take a sprint around your house and then come back and tell me how long you think you'll sprint for. Okay, now you're in the now you got a foot in reality. So you dieters are delusional. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. You've been hypnotized, brainwashed, conditioned by the dietistry your whole life. So you think, oh, I'm gonna. I'm just gonna do it. I'm just gonna do it. Oh, yeah, oh, yeah, Go ahead and do it. Cut 60% of your calories out tomorrow. And on top of that, God forbid you get in a fight with your partner. God forbid your boss yells at you. God forbid you don't sleep well and you wake up tired and grumpy. God forbid you hurt your ankle. Then how's the day going? On top of that. So again, dieter. I call it Dieter delusion, Dieter dementia. It's a fantasy land that doesn't map up with reality. Because what's going to happen is you're going to. Okay, you do it right, because you're really motivated. But listen to David Goggins. I'm doing. I'm going to do it. I don't care how hungry I get. I don't care how hungry I get. I'm not gonna eat. Great. And how's that go? First day, muscle through it. Go to bed hungry, pissed off, irritated, annoyed, scared for tomorrow. Wake up, you get through two days. Let's give you two days. I'll give you two days. Get to the third day. You're starving, you're tired, you're frustrated, you're grumpy, Emotions all over the place. Guess what you do? You go back to the food. What are you gonna do? You're gonna fight against your brain and your body forever. No, you're not. So this binging on and off cycle is literally. It's a symptom of the dieting mindset and how many you can relate to that. Listen, you know the easiest way. And this is why I say dieting is a. Dieting is a psychological operation that has been put on us by the food industry. Because I will tell you, as a hypnotist and an NLP trainer, what I specialize in is subconscious communication. And what you can do with that, if you wanted to be a devious piece of shit, is that you could create a diet that on the surface seems like it's something that's really about losing weight, when in reality, it's the thing that trains you to absolutely hate eating healthy, moving in a way that makes you lose weight and makes you think that losing weight is overwhelming and stressful and miserable. That's what you you know, the irony of ironies for you all is that you all think about weight and losing weight 24 hours a day, but subconsciously you hate losing weight. You're terrified by it. You're stressed out by even thinking about it because you associate weight loss with overwhelm, stress, frustration, difficulty, disappointment, hard all, all negative stuff. You associate weight loss with pain, to put it simply. And this is a real big problem. So yeah, when you find yourself binging on and off, what I say is you're literally, you're priming the binge. You know the easiest way to get me. Get you to binge on food. If I had control over you and I wanted to make you binge on food, you know what I would do? I would make you self restricted. That's what I would do. I would have you self restrict. The more extreme, the better. I would have you self restrict for as long as you could. Get as hungry as you possibly can, build as much emotional stress up as you possibly could until the dam can't hold it anymore. And, and there's a name for this, specifically for diet. It's called the what the hell effect. Ever experienced it? Ever been doing great on your diet? Screw up a little bit and now you screw up completely. Of course that's normal for you when you've dieted. And what I'm trying to say is that diet's building up all this pressure and this is why you avoid it, by the way. This is why you think about weight loss 24 hours a day. But you never really do anything to make it happen other than when you finally get really upset at one point, then you jump into some crazy plan that you got to focus on a thousand percent, do it for a little while and you stop, you know, so Moxville, my my my Moxville, my my says, good morning. Yes, I'm serious about my weight loss. 100 pounds. I wish to take off, if not more. But it's hard being a mom of young boys 8 and 7. Yes, it is. I'm currently 284, but want to get to 140. I got a problem with overeating. I'm also Greek. Constantindina Constantina Constant Constantina is my name. Thank you for being here. You're welcome. You're welcome. Yes, fellow Greek. I get it. I get it. Right? Yeah. So you're the challenge. Okay, so let me talk about this, because this again, I want to give what I'm saying some context because I think it makes more sense than just talking in Generalities. Yes. Boys 8 and 7. Boom. Right off the bat, we got one of the biggest challenges for Constantina. Constantina. The two big challenges she's got right now, friends, I know she's got lots of challenges, okay? We all have got lots of challenges. But for Constantina, right away, the two big challenges is these two boys, seven and eight. Okay? Why? Because they take a lot of energy. They run you through a lot of emotions, okay? So that's the big challenge for you right now. I'm sure you got other challenges, too, okay? So I have a problem with overeating. Okay, I agree. I'm sure you have a problem with overeating. Okay? The answer, in my opinion, is not to start off by changing your diet and eat less. I don't think that's the first step, because I look at things. I look at things kind of like in program yourself. Then we have the goal weight pyramid, and it's to imply that there's different levels of things. So the goal weight pyramid is mindset lifestyle eating. Okay? And so I like to look at things in a layered way, because I think dieting is going to say, okay, Constantina, just cut your calories. You want to lose weight. You want to get down to 140, let's get you. Let's just cut out a thousand calories a day. Let's cut 1500 calories a day. And you'll be there while on your way, right? And there's no. There's no focus on raising young kids. There's no focus on the stress and responsibility of that. And so we just. I just give you the plan. Here's your meal plan. It's 1500 calories less a day. Here you go. See you later, Constantina. And the core problem Constantine is going to have, she's going to say, okay, I'm going to do this, and you're going to start your morning off, and you're going to follow it perfectly. Your kids are going to walk in the afternoon and spill a bunch of food on the floor, follow, fight with each other, you know, start crying, you know, not go to bed, you know, whatever. Whatever kids do. And you're gonna get stressed out, and you're gonna have no way to deal with the stress because you can't eat the food now, so you're not gonna stick with it, you know? So to me, stress is. Is pretty much a foundational piece in my mind. I think if you're super stressed, and I already know you're stressed, by the way, it's 20, 25. If you are if you are walking around not stressed, not up to here, just calm, relaxed, with tons of capacity, then God bless you, I'm happy for you. But you're an outlier. This day and age, the majority of us are walking around pretty much up to here, full up at capacity, chronically stressed. And so to me, if you're going to change your thinking, your lifestyle and your eating, you're going to have to build on a foundation that's more calm and relaxed, that's a more stable foundation. So that's why in programming yourself then, for example, you know, you don't start with a crazy meal plan. You start with a five minute hypnosis session in the morning. So for eight weeks, every morning you get a five minute hypnosis session sent to you and you listen to it. Each one's got a different weight loss mantra, each one's unique. And what happens is, yes, you're getting good stuff put in your head and that's valuable. But more importantly, every morning you're starting your day relaxed, calm, breathing, grounded and centered. Now you go into your day and you're more able to handle the kids, this partner, the bosses, the co workers, the family, the friends, all the rest of it, the life. Does it change everything? No. But now you're more grounded, you know, and now we can start to look at what's going on. Okay, so again, we want to be strategic with it, though, in my opinion, you know, and this isn't for everyone. Program yourself is not for everyone. A lot of people. Oh, that sounds great, Jim. I just want to lose weight. Well, great. Knock yourself out. Go lose weight. I'll still be here when you go and try and lose weight and it doesn't work and you finally, you know, in 10 years, realize, Jesus, I wish I did this. That's the number one thing I hear from my clients. I wish I did this earlier. I wish I knew about you earlier, but whatever. Go knock yourself out diet. Go, go ahead. You know how to do that. You know, that whole plan. Do it. But if you'd like to get different results, I'd suggest you probably need to do something different, you know? So again, for me, Constantina, I would want to start in a more grounded way. And I know you're impatient, but I mean, again, at those numbers, you've probably been living overweight for a while now. So stop with the impatience and start with the mindset that I'll get 1% better a day. Break your 100 pound goal into 2 years, 50 pounds a year, I think It's a nice place to lose the weight comfortably and relatively easily. So that's my suggestion just to start off. And again, make sure you go to my bio, click the link at the hypnosis session, I'll even put the link in the chat for you. But again, the first thing we got to do is deal with the stress of, of your life. I think, I mean, I think it's the same for all of you. I, I don't know who you are in 2025 who doesn't need to very intentionally manage your stress. I mean so much of my life is managing my stress. So I, I don't know anyone that can just not have to manage their stress and get good results. I would be shocked by that. But anyways, check tick tock here because I get caught up in my tick tock questions because like I said, once they go, they go. Coach Laura says sometimes not hungry and we were told to have three meals. Same in the U.S. yeah, we've been trying to eat three meals for sure. Yeah. Again, you know, it holds self defense eating that sometimes you'll eat even when you're not hungry. So you don't get hungry, God forbid. Right. So you know, I, whether you eat three meals, four meals, two meals, one meal, that's always up to you. You know, I've seen people succeed with all those plans. The secret is to figure out what works for you. You know, I eat three meals on my clean days, two meals on my pleasure days. That's how I found this works best for me. But yes, we have that training here for sure too. And we have the clean the play club training and yeah, a lot of unhealth, unhelpful strategies we've learned in life for food, especially this day and age too. You know, I always say that, you know, we live in an alien environment at this point. It's very, I think it's very important that you look at things this way that we don't live in the natural world in any capacity, we live in a real alien environment. But we have our old evolutionary brains, you know, so remember, we've got brains and bodies that evolved over millions of years in a food scarce environment. Now all of a sudden we got the same brains and bodies. But now we're in a food abundant environment and it's not even just food abundance, it's hyper palatable foods. So in my opinion in this situation, in this situation, I think you have got to upgrade your, your mental software. You can't upgrade your physical hardware. You, you are you're stuck with this brain and body and how they respond to food when they're around and when we're surrounded by hyper addicted foods. So to me, the only strategy you have to master your weight long term if you're overweight. Now again, some people are thin and just, are always thin and they, they are just naturally able to manage this environment. But it's very, statistically, it's very few people. 75% of the population of American adults right now is overweight or obese. 75%, that, that number has almost doubled over the last 50 years. So it's not a genetic thing. It's not a, it's not, I don't know, it's a, it's a crazy number when you think about it. And it's obvious though, I mean the entire, the environment we live in is completely transformed. Your brains haven't transformed, your genetics haven't changed in 50 years that much. It's the environment. And that includes the foods we're surrounded by, the foods we're eating, the constant marketing, the constant conditioning, the diet conditioning and marketing, the medical establishment, all of it and more is all coordinated to get you to overeat, be overweight, struggle with the food. So to me, it's like you need to download a new software update for your brain to thrive in this environment. That's how I think of. Program yourself then. What's up, Sherry? Sherry says it sounds so crazy when you use the sprint metaphor. Thank God I found PYT and Jim. Yes. Oh, I see. Yeah, the sprint diet metaphor is perfect. I spent my life saying, okay, this time I'm going to sprint the whole time and then quickly fell flat on face, but I kept going back to it. Yeah, it sounds so crazy, the sprint metaphor. I love the sprint metaphor. And that's. I, you know, I will tell you, my favorite band in the world is Fish and they are like a jam band. And the fun thing of going to see them, and I've seen them many, many, many, many, many times over the last 30 years, but the fun thing is they'll play a song and then they kind of a jam section. So you just never know what's gonna happen, you know what I mean? Like sometimes it goes in outer space. And in some ways I'm like that because I love doing these podcasts, I love coaching and doing my trainings because you just never know what connections are all of a sudden going to happen. And I will tell you the other day with the sprinting in a marathon, I think that is the Best metaphor that I've ever come up with and came up with it right on the spot. It's exciting. I will tell you, I love my life because I sit and wonder sometimes and I really listen. I went through a lot of tests. I've been doing this, I, I've been doing this personally for over 30 years and I've been doing it professionally for over 20 years. And I have carved my own way. This has not been easy path for me. I will let you know this. It's easy when you want to do weight loss. There's such gravity to teach weight loss like it's taught. And how's weight loss taught 99.9% of the time? Here, here's what to do, you know, so it's like I could just come up with Jim's diet, right? And it's basically just what I eat all day. And I say, here, this is what I eat. This is what I did. Here's what I did. Here, do it. That's every diet in a nutshell. Someone telling you what to do. And it was tempting. I literally, I've created diets. I have the, the two day detox that I've created diets. And it just never, I was like, oh, it just doesn't feel right. This isn't going to work. But there's so much gravity when you go into weight loss. If you want to help people lose weight, to teach it like it's taught, it's, it, it's easy now because I've doing it so long, but in the early days, 10 years, I'm talking the first 10 years, it's like you just want to fall into the mold so you can just do that, you know, but I resisted it. And so now, you know, I absolutely bear the fruits of my labors. I, I, I've done this for a long time, but now it's so fun to be able to. And that's what I, I literally live for. The meaning of my professional life is to help people get control of their mind so they can live at their goal weight. You know, control of their minds and strategic plan that resonates with them so they can live at their goal weight. And that's why I'm here every day. You know what I mean? Live. Because I want to help you with this. And I know that the main way I can help you initially is to share concepts with you that help you get perspective of how ridiculous the dieting is. Because I know at this point you are, you have been brainwashed, you are in the diet cult, let's put it that way. You can't think clearly. And it's like, as you know, it's. I just watched this whole documentary. It makes me so mad. I hate this guy. He. It was called the Vow. I don't know if you ever heard of this. I think it's older. I'm kind. I was late to the party a little bit. But he ran a thing called Nexium is what the group was called, and they had 10 million programs in it. But. But he was such a piece of. Because he really was just an awful person who was using to some degree. It's adjacent to what I'm talking about here because even the lady he worked with and she. She was a lot better than him, although she was kind of involved with it, but she was the NLP person. And so it's adjacent to some of the stuff I talk about here. But he used all of it to manipulate and control these people and do awful. He's a piece of. And thank God he's in jail and hopefully forever. Awful person. But anyway, so I was watching all this, you know, and it's like when you watch how cults work. And it was very interesting watching that because they. I mean, you know, the cults just do what they do and I guess they just know how to be called people. But this, this person, I think him. And I don't think she was in on it as much as he was, but I think she was using. He was using her knowledge of mindset, nlp, all this stuff to do bad. But anyways, it was very interesting because you watch how very intentionally was to manipulate people. And I think it's very interesting because these companies that are putting the diets in front of you, the food in front of you, all this stuff in front of you are very intentionally trying to manipulate you. And the diet industry is very much like this. And what you see with it, the cults, is people in the cults, they start blaming themselves for everything. And that's what you see very clearly. This Nexium thing is how he would manipulate their brains to basically abuse them. And then when they felt abused, to create a mindset where the person being abused took responsibility for the abuse instead of blaming the person guilty of it. Okay. And this is what I see a lot with dieting. I see the exact same thing. I see dieters, instead of saying, this diet strategy is goofy. It doesn't work for me ever. It doesn't work for anyone around me. It doesn't work for anyone Statistically, literally, statistically, dieting has an 85 for the most generous number to a 98% failure rate to help people lose weight. Long term dieting does not work. There's not one diet that rises to the top. Dieting is a failed strategy. Now, that being said, you still blame yourself for the diet's not working. And that's the part that really grinds my gears more than anything. That is literally the reason I'm here every day. Because it's bad enough that you have to deal with the weight and all the issues that causes. But what bothers me even more is that you're blaming yourself for it. That you blame yourself for not having the strength to sprint an entire marathon. You know, and it's like you can never sprint an entire marathon. It's impossible. And you can't willpower yourself to follow a strict diet forever either. And so my goal is to wake as many people up as possible. I don't give a if you do program yourself then or not, I really don't care. What I care is that you stop dieting and get on a path of genuinely figuring your weight out in a way that resonates with you. So that next year at this time, you're in a 180 degree different place. Five years from now, you've mastered it. Ten years from now, you're just enjoying the fruits of your labor. 20 years from now, same thing. 30 years from now, same thing. That's what I want for you. I want you to live your life. I want you to live as long as you can. I want you the best quality of life while you're here. And that involves not having to think about your fucking weight and food 24 hours a day for the rest of your life. Which is what the diets want you to do. Diets are the sneaky shit. Oh, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm just gonna do a long ass training. I'll just put it for free. I got this cool shit coming. I am actually excited. Circle, the community app I use. Which the, the Circle app I use. It's a community app and I'm going to have a whole free section available too. I'm just, I'm kind of finishing up a couple final things. The big thing being the support bots. I'm testing those out right now, getting some feedback from people. But I'm gonna have the Circle app and it's gonna be completely free. It's already set up for clients. And if you're a Client, you're not in there, and you can't get in there for. Please let me know. Let me get you set up. It's really important to get in there because that's going to be, it's going to become a lot better over the next, well, forever. But over the next couple months, it's gonna be a lot more active. I'm gonna be in there a lot. We're gonna use it a lot differently, but I'm gonna have a free section there, too. So, again, for me, you know, again, this is a mission. I'm here to help you out. And so I, I, I want you to. If you get nothing else out of listening to this, I hope it inspires some hope in you, because I know dieters are some of the most hopeless people on the planet, and why wouldn't you be? You know, again, it's like imagine dedicating 20 years of your life to trying to sprint in a marathon. It's just, it's a, it's a path to failure. You can't do it. And so what happens, you know, you feel terrible. You know, says, I counted how much I ate, and I can't believe it. I thought I was being healthy, but there's so many calories in my foods. I ate around 3,800 calories a day. Yeah, people, you all eat way more than you think. And I'll tell you another thing I was saying recently that I think is really helpful. You weigh exactly what you eat, or you eat exactly what you weigh, however you want to put it. That can feel like stinging for a second, but I'm telling you, once you can see what you're doing more accurately, now, you're in a position to correct it, you know? But again, I mean, oh, boy, I'm gonna do it. I gotta plan. I always tell you about my plans. Maybe I shouldn't, because it makes me. I was thinking today, but that's part of just the charm of me, is that I say all the things I'm gonna do, and then they take me way longer to get them done than I want them to. But I'll get them done eventually. Hey, what are you gonna do? Better than not doing them right. What they say, better late than never. But I literally, I literally have two books in my mind. The second book, it's called the Obesity Conspiracy, I can't wait to write. But I got to do the first one first. So I got that one all mapped out. That one's ready to go. But I don't know, something always Gets in front of that book, right in that book. But it's good stuff. It's stuff again. I spent three or four months. I could have written the book, but I wrote my blueprints over instead. And I'm happy I did that because the program is just like, man, it's so exciting. Just keep getting better and better and better. So those blueprints are done, and they're. They're in the program now. They're awesome. Anyways. Okay, Jess says, can you describe a typical day of eating for a thin thinking person? No, I can't describe a typical day because every person's different. So what one thin person eats is different than what another thin person eats. We're all unique human beings. This is why I don't share what I eat really much, because who gives a. You ain't me. So, Jess, what I'd much rather have you do is I'd like to know what you eat typically right now. I'd like to know what a typical day of eating is for you. And not a typical day, folks. You don't really have typical days. You have typical weeks is a more accurate way to look at it. Meaning you have typical Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. That's a better way to think about it, because most likely your typical Saturdays look a lot different than your typical Mondays for most people. So, again, don't worry about what I'm eating. Focus on what you're eating. If you did what Uzo said and you figured out exactly what to what you eat, typically over a week, week over a month, that's the goal. That's the starting point. Because now who gives a what I eat? It doesn't matter what I eat. You don't have my body. You're not me. You don't like what I like. You know my lifestyle. You don't have my. You know, my preferences and my genetics. So who gives a what I eat? Because I know you want me to tell you what I eat so that you can start eating that way and then be thin like me. It doesn't work that way because what if you hate everything I eat? Then it's not going to work. It's always going to feel like you're trying to put a square peg into a round hole. So what I want to know is what Jess eats on a typical day, over a typical week. I want to know what you eat on a typical week. Then I want to look at. I want to say, okay, where are the most calories coming in consistently this is how we start. And program yourself then. What is your highest calorie habit? Over a week. So what is a habit you have every day or multiple times a week that happens where the most calories are coming in? It might be snacking at night, might be overeating at dinner. It might be, you know, getting a coffee and muffin every morning during the weekdays, I don't know. But I want to look at that and I say, where? Where's my highest calorie habit? Let me go to work on that. Let me go work on fixing that. And that's how I would suggest you approach a chess. I think that's gonna be a much better strategy. Again, I'm not opposed to telling you what I eat, but I know the dieter wants to hear what I'm eating. So you can try and eat like I. E. You know. And there's two reasons that doesn't work. First, you're not me. That's the biggest one. But number two, the number two biggest reason, it's right next to this. The first one is that I have developed the way I eat over 30 years. So I didn't, 30 years ago, when I want to lose 50 pounds, I didn't just on one day eat like I eat now. I started slowly. I started working on. I started working on my nighttime eating habit and getting a handle on that, getting strategies, understanding it, getting my mindset right, trying different things out, finding the best, easiest, most comfortable way for me to get a handle on that. Now I have that, and I had it. It took me months to figure that out. By the way, I don't remember exactly now, but I don't know. Six months. Say. Oh, my God, six months. Who gives a shit? I haven't eaten a night in 30 years because I took care of it right the first time. Anyways, again, it's all about strategy. Strategy and mindset will get you everywhere with your weight, which is good and bad. It's good, you know, but the bad news is, where are you going to learn to shift your weight? Mindset. Yeah. Billy Jeet says eating while listening to you, it's fine. You can eat while listening to me. I can feel like I'm eating five donuts, Jim. I don't give a. Eat 100 donuts. I don't. I don't care what anyone eats. I don't care what anyone does. I don't care about your weight. I don't care about any of it. I mean, it's all, all. It's all up to you. I Will say, you know, we live this life and one of the most personal freedoms we have is we get to decide what we want away. No one can decide that, but you get to decide what you want away. You're the one who's in control of that, so it don't matter to me. Skittle skedaddle said I had one bad night last night of eating kfc. Today's a new day to start again, question mark. Oh, yeah, period. You know, don't question mark that. Who cares? A night of bad eating doesn't mean that means a little bit, but, you know, it means a lot more than the one night of bad eating is the following week. Right? So, again, no big deal. I say this all the time. I'll say it again. I believe the number one skill of living at your. Of getting to your goal weight and staying there for the rest of your life is the ability to get back on track quickly. Dieting has convinced you need to be perfect, which, again, is part of the. The trickery of the dieting. But you're never going to be perfect. You're not going to be perfect. I'm not perfect ever. Ever and ever and ever. I never have perfect weeks. Sometimes I have kind of perfect days. Yeah. See, Jody? Yeah, the culture. Yeah. It's called the Vow. The. The documentary I was talking about. It's on HBO or Max, whatever the hell they call that thing. I guess they're going back to college. That's the dumbest rebrand of all time, that. The dumbest rebrand of all time. Right. It's got to be that. Imagine you got hbo, like your hbo, as we've known HBO since the beginning of cable. And you change your name to Max. It makes me feel good about all the dumb decisions I make. Anyways, so, yes, the Vow. And it's real. It is interesting. It's awful. It's awful. And it's worse than I thought because I'm literally. I was so interested and I'm watching another series on that same group. It follows the Vow. Follows, like this mom, daughter, sort of. They're kind of like two of the Mainer characters, but they went and did their own thing, their own series, which is like four. And I'm watching that one, too. And it's interesting, just these guys, such a piece of. And I mean, obviously it's good to watch this. I. I think it's good to watch this stuff. I'm fascinated by psychological stuff. But again, I. I think maybe it's a leap. I don't know. But I think of it very much. I think dieting like a cult. I. I don't find dieting. See, I think with diets and with the food companies in general, we give them a lot of benefit of the doubt. And I'll. I'll prove this to you that I think the diets and the food companies, at the very least, you feel neutral about them. Right? But you don't think they're maliciously trying to hurt you. And I will compare that to a company you do things trying to hurt you. The cigarette companies. Right. So if you think about, like, Nabisco and, you know, Keebler elves and all the. They make you think about them. And at worst, you might think, oh, they. They. I gotta be careful with their food. It's. I can get. It's addictive. I. I can't just eat one cookie. I eat them all, you know. You know, them little elves, like, cookies are so good, you know? And you think about those companies, you're very benign, you know? Right. You think of the cigarette companies and you think, oh, my God, they're. They're bad. They're evil. They're doing things to kill people. They're, you know, marketing to kids. Bad, bad, bad, bad. Right. But what if I told you. What if I told you Nabisco and RJR Reynolds are the same company? What if I told you Nabisco and RJR Reynolds are merged together as the same company? What would you think then? Is it true? I'll let you look into it. But you don't feel the same way about Nabisco as you do about the cigarette companies. You know, and you might wanna. You know, you can think like. You can think about. I will tell you this too, because I'm a big fan of the gray space. Not with cigarettes. I think cigarettes don't smoke ever again. They're super addicted to the rest of it. I think food's a little bit different, and I think you can have some Nabisco once in a while and still stay in control. And I think you can think of it like cigarettes, though, a lot of times. But you can moderate it once in a while. This is not cigarettes, you know, but. But it's. You know, I. I think those food companies deserve a little bit more of our. They deserve a bit more shame and scorn and, you know, negative thoughts than they get. You know, they really do, you know, flip by in the wings. What's up, dj? DJ says, can you talk more about the lifestyle portion of the plan? How do you keep to Pleasure days without slipping into a binge. Again. Yeah, I mean, even listen, that language. Slipping into a binge. Again, how do you keep the pleasure days without slipping into a binge? That, that's such a good question. I mean, it's very common too. But again, I'm just saying there's multiple layers of your challenge, dj, you know, and so again, you have to understand that. And that's what I'm getting caught up on is even your language is revealing your mindset, you know, and your mindset's always the ground floor of the transformation. But, but yeah, how do you, how do you keep pleasure days from turning into long days? Now, I know dieters always ask that because you have to understand that when, you know, you don't call them pleasure days, you call them cheat days or God damn if you call them binge days. Don't do that. But you call them binge days or cheat days. But you have to understand those cheat days exist within the context of you being stressed and hungry the other days. You know, you're over restricting most of the time so that by the time you have a cheat day, you know, you're just ready to, you know. You ever watch like bull riding? I don't know what they do. I don't. They brand the things or they, they, they do stuff to really trigger the bull, you know, and if you ever look at them in the cage, right then they open the thing and it's like, right, that's like you on a diet. So by the time, let's just say six days of dieting and you get to that binge day, you're just like that bull, you know, and then you let it go and you wonder why, you know, you binge. I get this all the time because people come into the program like, okay, they're nervous to have the pleasure day. They finally had the pleasure. Yeah, good gym. I ate 10,000 calories. I put 20 pounds on, on the binge day. Okay, fine, relax, calm down. We're going to learn from that. Relax. That's the first thing notice you dieters, dieters notice, like when you think about a cheat day or God forbid, a pleasure day, you freak out. You go into instant freak out, stress mode, right? Because how you've ever experienced a cheat, binge day, pleasure day, whatever you want to call it, again, you're that, you're. That that bull has been totally triggered. And so you got to understand that the pleasure days first of all exist within a much more calm ecosystem. So when we have our clean days and our pleasure days, the clean days, are not like diet days. So, for example, when you first start the program, you have a clean day. And it might just be a clean day, by the way. So it's not against the rules and it's not unusual how I started. I started with one clean day Mondays that I had one clean day. And the rest of the day I was like, I don't really care what I do now. Don't get me wrong, the pleasure days. And by the way, the pleasure days are not binge days. They're not cheat days. They're days where we're still moderating, but we're also looking forward to our favorite meal. Let me just mention that, you know, God, there's so much to the program I never even get to talk about, you know, I'm gonna do, actually, I'm gonna write down the main components of the program. I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep a list of them. I'm gonna cycle through them every day to make sure I don't get. Because I've noticed what happens is I get caught up on certain kind of quadrants of the program, I would say, and I will get caught up on a quadrant for a month or two perhaps. And I forget to talk about the other ones. Someone came in the other day, Ken, he's killing it. And he, he's like, jesus, Jimmy, I haven't talked about the reader rehearsal technique in a while, which we're just calling the rehearsal technique as a little bit of a rebrand. But the rehearsal technique is something I teach. It's basically a little self hypnosis exercise use at night. It's like 60 seconds. And it's what you use to program your own subconscious mind. You've got to get control over your mind. This is how you do it. But I was like, holy shit, you're right. I've not talked about that in months. And that's the, that's the cornerstone of the whole program, right? Program yourself, then this is how you do it. I'm like, holy shit, I haven't been talking about that. So I got to remember to talk about the program more holistically, more often, okay? That being said, let me talk about the eating for a second, the clean pleasure days. So the way you, you set your pleasure day up initially, because I know you're all nervous, right? Because you're all or nothing thinkers, right? I get it. It's fine. It's fine. You're welcome here, right? That's what we're going to change. But what we do is we set the pleasure, the pleasure day up, initially at the least, is going to be your pleasure meal where you pick the most pleasurable, enjoyable meal you can think of. First off, okay, now I know you're already freaking out and you're saying, well, the most pleasure to me, I'm gonna eat everything. I mean, I get five pizzas, I'll eat everything in sight. That's pleasure. And that's where you're wrong. That's not pleasure. You tell me, you tell me a time when you've overeaten, whatever, ice cream, cookies, pizza, what, anything you think of, a time when you've really grossly overeaten something where you would define that as pleasure. Afterwards, when you're sitting there feeling like shit, when you don't sleep well, when you feel gross, when you're tired, when you can barely move and your stomach hurts, is that how you define pleasure? It's not. And so one of the first things you got to do as a dieter is you need to redefine pleasure. You don't even know how to have a pleasure meal. You don't even know how to enjoy your food. You don't know how to maximize the pleasure out of food. Isn't that ironic? You're overweight and you keep eating, but you don't actually know how to maximize pleasure. I bet I get more pleasure out of foods I eat than you do. But I'll leave that to the side. So that's how we pick the pleasure day. You know that. And we. So what I tell you, we got the weight. The goal weight blueprint follows the goal weight pyramid mindset Lifestyle eating, okay? And so you go through, these are your blueprints. You follow, they're customized to you and you follow them to get your goal weight and live there. So part of it's the eating plan and we have clean and pleasure days, and so the pleasure day, the first thing you do to create your eating blueprint is you start with the pleasure meal. Why? Because if you're a dieter, you're in this constant guilt based eating pattern where you can never truly just enjoy a fucking meal. And because you can never truly enjoy the meal, you're left wanting. It's never truly satisfying because even when you're eating the shit you like, you're feeling tremendously guilty about it, which means you're not getting the complete amount of pleasure you can get out of it. So the very first thing you do to create your blueprint is to decide on a pleasure meal. I know you're going to find that hard, but it's important. My pleasure meal, I enjoy 1000% now. I eat enough that I really enjoy myself. I overeat, but I don't really stuff myself. So I feel like shit. I overeat more than normal. So it's enjoyable. I get the most enjoyment out of it. And then I stop before I go too far. That's the sweet spot. And then I have my pleasure days and I get right back on track. So that is a practice, by the way, you know, but that's an important practice because, folks, do you not think your core problem is that you start and then you make a mistake and then you can't get back on track every single week with program yourself. Then you practice going into a pleasure day intentionally with a plan prepared. And you practice coming back into a clean day after that with a plan, with a strategy. And you practice it so that a year from now you've practiced that 52 times. And you know what happens when you practice that 52 times? You look forward to your pleasure day. You enjoy the pleasure day and then you get back on track quickly. Then you look forward to a pleasure day, you enjoy your pleasure day and you get back on track quickly. So now when all of a sudden, you know, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, you know, your friend brings over a bunch of fresh baked cookies and you eat a bunch of them. Ah, I didn't want to do that was my clean day. I want to do that. No big deal. Because you're prepared. You know how to get back on track, folks, the number one skill you do not have if you're overweight is you don't know how to get back on track quickly. So yeah, DJ says the diet mindset's helped me captive for 40 plus years. I'm finally seeing the light, feeling confident, getting a grip. That's great, dj. Proud of you. Proud of you. Hey, Laurie Anderson, since finding you have lost 10 pounds easily, all in caps. I like that. Screenshot time. That's so awesome. And the easily is the key part, folks. I can't stress this enough. I don't say this a lot because I don't want to sound like a diet huckster, but programming yourself then is about getting to your goal weight and living there for the rest of your life in the easiest, most comfortable way possible. I. I've been at the same weight for 30 years. I won Blip 13 years ago. I put 25 pounds on this winter I put 10 pounds on, you know, so I'm a little bit. Still kind of bringing my weight back down to where I want to be. But I live, I maintain my weight. I, I love it. I love the way that I think live and eat. I love it. I love it. I didn't have salads two days last week and I just, I could not wait to get my salads back this week. So it doesn't again. The diet industry is not your friend. The diet industry is the food industry. They're putting all this bad in your head so that. Now what do you think about eating healthy and losing weight? Do you think it's easy and comfortable and enjoyable, or do you think it's the worst thing in the world? Do you think it's the worst thing in the world? Because anytime you've ever tried to lose weight, you know, I always put it metaphorically the way you've been taught to lose weight. It's kind of like if you wanted to play piano and the only way anyone ever taught to play piano was that you got to play for eight hours a day. You want to get good quick, don't you? Well, the only way to play piano is to play eight hours a day. Or you're just, you're not even serious. You're never gonna get results. That's how you got to play eight hours a day. And you go and you sit down for eight hours a day. If you're able to get through one day, the next day your fingers all cramped, you hate the piano. It's so stressful. I'm gonna get like another eight hour day. I can't. I hate that your back hurts. You know, your fingers are killing you. You, you hate the piano. Your brain's so tired, you're tired. I can do another eight hours. God bless you. If you get through that day, the next day, get through a week. You're not going to, but okay, the next week starts. Oh, God. That's how your dieting feels. And they've conditioned you. Again, I don't know how to explain it. Dieting as a concept is one of the most harmful lies in bullshits that's been put on the population in history, in my opinion. And I say that I don't. I'm not trying to be hyperbolic here because I believe at this point, weight related issues are neck and neck with smoking for number one cause of preventable death. So I mean, we are talking literally about something that is killing people. Now, that's a whole nother story. You don't even think about your weight in terms of usually Your longevity and health, you know, just like people used to fucking smoke and not think about how it was affecting their health, right? I go a hundred years ago and I say, I don't do that. Smoking's really bad. We give lung cancer. They look at you like you're crazy. You know, they're look at what? What are you from. What are you talking about, man? From the future, you crazy person. Get out of here. Smoking's fine. It's cool, man, all the cool people doing it. But now we think totally different. Why the cigarettes didn't change, your understanding of the cigarettes changed. And the same thing's going to happen with the foods that we're surrounded by next 20 years. You got warning labels on it. You're going to realize they lead to cardiovascular issues, obviously type 2 diabetes, certain cancers, all host of issues. And you're going to look at these foods differently. I hope you don't wait till then, you know. So Julie says, true. You're amazing. Thank you, Julie. Appreciate that. That's what I'm here for. You know, again, I just want to share. I've been able to walk. I say this all the time, you know, I talk about my, you know, origin story over 30 years ago. And I. It's not lost on me that I didn't deserve any of this. You know, all this stuff fell in my lap at a moment in time when I was at pretty much my lowest point in life, literally in a month or 2. Yoga, hypnosis, NLP, meditation, guitar, martial arts, all of this stuff fell in my life, right into my lap again, through no fault of my own. It literally just fell into my life. But I grabbed onto it though, you know what I mean? And I've been walking that path ever since. So I'm happy to share this stuff with you because at least it's a different point of view. So Carol, Carol says, how to resist temptation from others. Boyfriend, for example. Mother. Often I overeat in company and then instead of getting back on track, I overeat on my, my own terms to regain a feeling of control, I guess. Yeah, sure. Again, Carol, what I would work on, it's really, it's a. I hate to say this to you because again, diet industry has conditioned you to think, like I always use another metaphor. Dieting is like get rich quick scheme, right? But for weight loss. And so, you know, again, the difference with get rich quick schemes is you have something to compare it to. Because most people, when they think about making money, think about the traditional route where you either go to school or you go to some training thing, you develop some value that you can offer and then you get traded money for it in some way or another. Right? That's the traditional route. And then there's the shenanigans of get rich quick schemes. And so the majority of people will look at a get rich quick scheme within that context and say, well, that's bullshit. Ain't gonna work. I'm gonna go the traditional route. Fine. When it comes to weight though, what's happened is we have only lived within the get rich quick scheme our entire lives. We've never. You do not. Even in your mind anywhere does there exist some concept of how to lose weight and then live at that weight in a comfortable, natural, normal way. You don't have a counterpoint to dieting for weight loss. You've got dieting, injections and surgery. There literally doesn't exist in your mind a concept of changing your mindset, your lifestyle and your reading strategically. Now, I know he's, oh, I know I need to change my lifestyle. I can't just diet. I need to change my lifestyle. I gotta change my mindset. Those are just empty words for most people. And when you really define lifestyle and define mindset, how you're going to change it, you're gonna realize there's no, there's no there there. You don't really have a plan for how you're going to do that. That's what I've been spending literally 30 years developing. And I've developed it out of the blue. To be completely honest, I don't know. You tell me where you can learn about mindset for weight living at your goal weight. You tell me where I can learn about that and I will go study it. I probably have already studied the people you're going to mention. There's about two or three of them that come up. And if you're going to mention them, they are like kindergarten compared to what we're doing here now. No offense to them again, I'm happy for anyone you know walking this different route. But what you're going to realize is that the mindset component of weight is virtually non existent, even though it's the most important piece. And I'll hit you with my final metaphor, that basically dieting is just like, remember, just say no to drugs back in the 80s, right? That magical solution Nancy Reagan used to pop out, say no to drugs to say now, oh, you Nancy. You know what I mean? Like there's a little bit more to it than that, you know, and by the way that does, it's A, it doesn't work, A and B, it sets the person up who doesn't work for to feel shame. So dipshits like Nancy Reagan said, like, shame, shame. You should say no. Just say no. There's more to it. Nancy. Nancy. Maybe everyone doesn't have your mindset. Maybe everyone doesn't have your genetics, your, your history, your environment. Maybe there's more to it that you're not aware of. But it sounds easy, so let's just throw it out there. But what's dieting? Dieting is the same thing. Just say no, just stop eating. And then when you can't do it, where's the shame? Go right onto you. But you've never learned how to change your mindset. You've never learned how to run your motivation. You've never learned how to shift your self image and identity. You've never learned how to strategically manage your habits. You've never learned how to deal with your emotions genuinely. You've never learned how to think like a thin, healthy person. You've never learned how to maintain, how to get off track, get back on track, how to deal with times of stress. You've never learned any of those things. So why should you get good results? No offense, I've never studied the piano. If I sit the piano, why should I expect I can just play a song? And why should you expect you can lose a bunch of weight by not learning the core components that allow you to do it? You really think all you, you know, giving you a diet plan is almost like, here's a sheet of music, go play it at the piano. It's all the notes are all right there. Go play it. I don't know how to play it. You're just sabotaging yourself. The music's all right there. Go play it for me. Well, I don't know how. Yeah, exactly, you don't know how. So if you're a dieter, don't. Don't you dare say to me, I know what to do, I just need to get myself to do it. No, you don't. You don't know how to get yourself to do it. You don't. You have no idea how to motivate yourself. You have no idea how to do the things I just mentioned. And if you have no idea how to do those, what do you know? You know, some vague ass plan that you're going to try and force you to follow. So anyways. But how do you resist temptation with others? I mean, that's the first Step. I don't know in that situation, Carol, if I would focus first on the resisting the temptation or getting back on track quicker, I'd probably focus more on getting back track quicker because there's less environmental outside pressures and you have more control over that, you know? So again, I think it's really interesting, Carol, that as you talk about this, I already see you starting to dive into it again. All my people that get in the program, it's for overthinkers, you know, So I love when people, Laurie Anderson, sure. Nancy Reagan, live on laxatives to stay thin. I like when people write that stuff. Again, I got nothing against Nancy Reagan. I just. I hate. I hate. It's literally what I dedicate my life to, the weight loss people. I. I don't hate these people, but I hate the message. I hate the message of dieting and fitness influencers that you just need to. You just need to do it, just try harder. I just. I. Makes me insane because it makes you feel bad. And I. I'm on. I have no problem with you feeling bad when you. When you deserve to feel bad, feel bad. I think that's an appropriate thing too. But I think in this situation, it's not fair. You have never been shown how to genuinely change your weight. And so just to blame you makes me crazy. And I don't like blamers. Not a big fan of that. So anyways. But yeah, for you, Carol, I find it interesting that even as you start to write about this, you're going more in depth with it. You see? So it started. How do I resist temptation when my boyfriend's my mom and that goes into. But, well, actually, though, then once I do that, then I kind of continue it. To me, I'd probably focus more on the continuing it of it and shortening that, because that ain't the only time you get off track. You get off track for a million reasons. So again with program yourself then. Now. I don't know. Am I crazy? Maybe I'm a crazy person. You tell me, does it make more sense? Tell me, which makes more sense. Does it make more sense to change all of your eating all at once, to change all of your habits, all of your behaviors, all of your eating all at once, forever tomorrow? Or would it make more sense to strategically focus on what you're going to work on, fix it, and then move on the next thing, which makes more sense? In my world, it's an open and shut that. It makes more sense to be strategic. So for Carol, what I would suggest, I probably now, get this without really talking or diving into it, but I would rather be good at getting back on track. When I got off track, that's what I would probably work on. And so I would notice the things that get me off track, the patterns that get me off track. Then I would start to focus on how can I get back on track quicker when I'm with my mom and I overeat, When I'm with my boyfriend, I overeat. When I'm in this situation, I overeat. How can I get back on track quickly? And when you start focusing on that specific question very quickly, you'll come up with better strategies and ideas. Then you can start to implement those. Then you'll start to feel more confident. Then you won't be so worried when you go and see your husband, your boyfriend, or your. Your mom or whoever. But again, it's about being strategic. You've never learned how to be strategic. Just. I don't know anyone in 2025 who isn't an overthinker. Fair enough. Fair enough. I do, though, I meet lots of people that are out overthinkers. And I will tell you again, everyone here, if you're here for more than two seconds, you're an overthinker. Pretty much, because I'm speaking a million miles an hour. I'm speaking all over the place. I'm jumping from thing to thing. I know that the only people that have any interest in listening to me are overthinkers, is what I've learned. And so there are a lot of people that are. Oh, fuck this. Just tell me what to do. Just. Oh. Oh, God. Just. I just. Just please, just tell me what to do. Just give me the plan and I'll do it. Those are. That's a lot of people. And so maybe I'm not using the right words, but those people are. That programming of self is not for them. Program self dentist for people that are overthinkers that are constantly thinking about their weight. Listen, folks, the overthinking is not the problem. Your overthinking is not the problem. It's what you're overthinking. And what you're overthinking is diet bullshit that's been installed there by the diet industry. And what to simplify it even more, you are. I don't know you. And I'm going to tell you more about yourself than anyone's probably ever told you. And that's what I do. That's why I love my life. It's fun to do Be honest. So what you, if you are overweight, what you think about primarily in terms of your weight is the problems. You primarily ask questions like what is wrong with me? How come I can be successful over here and do this? But then with the weight, I can't stick to a plan. Why can't I ever lose the weight? Why can't I stop eating sugar? Why can't I drink more water? Why do I keep quitting? Why do I keep overeating when I'm around my mom? Why can't I stop myself from overeating when I'm with my boyfriend? Why can't I get myself to eat healthier food right now? Again, it might not be those specific questions, but understand what I'm saying. I know you do this, you do this. I promise you. This is your internal dialogue. It's the main thing. If I could change one thing magically in you, it would be the what you say to yourself, how you speak to yourself. If I could take my voice, what I say, and put it in your brain, your chances of losing weight and living your goal weight go up exponentially. Which by the way, is what program yourself then does. That's part of it is that I do my voice and what I say becomes a surrogate for how you think. No, it's not unusual. By the way, you got your mom's voice in there. You got, you know what I mean, maybe your dad's voice, your friend's voice. You know, you got all the food ads, all the diet ads. Maybe you got your, your weight watchers coach and voice in there. You got a head full of bullshit, unfortunately. But the way main way it shows up is through problem oriented thinking. You are obsessed. You overthinkers are obsessed with figuring out the problem because you think once I figure out the problem, everything's going to be fixed. But guess what? It ain't. You know, even Carol did it, right? She said I, I overeat on my own terms to regain a feeling of control, I guess. Great, that's why you do it. We just figured it out. So Carol just figured out. Often I overeating company, then instead of getting back on track, I overeat on my own terms to regain a feeling of control, I guess. Well, great. You got the solution. So you're all fixed, right? You're overeating, regain a feeling of control. So you're all set. Why do I keep overeating, Sweets? Oh, you know why? It's because my mom used to give me candy after dinner every night. Great. You Got the answer. You're all set. You're fixed. No more weight problems. Or is it more accurate to say that now that you know that it doesn't matter a shit of difference to your behavior? So what if you know that the reason you love sugar is because your mom gave it to every day after dinner? Who gives a shit if you know that or don't know that? What difference does knowing that or not knowing that have on you today? That's my question to you overthinkers. Please listen to this, because this could be literally a breakthrough moment in your entire life. I'm not being hyperbolic. I mean this. You are obsessed with figuring out what's wrong with you because you think that that cognitive breakthrough is going to absolutely change everything as soon as you realize it. It's not. I could literally. I could answer all your problems. Why am I this way? Why do I keep doing this? Why do I. I could give you the exact answers of why, and it's not gonna make any difference in your behavior. So what's the answer? The answer is to stop fixating on problems. Now, we still focus on problems. We have to. We're going to. We need to. So focusing on problems is not the problem. The problem is you only obsess on problems. You are like 100% of the time trying to figure out what's wrong with you. If I could get 50% of that time. If I could get 50% of that time and have you dedicated towards solutions, your entire life will transform before your eyes. I promise you. I promise you. Instead of wondering why you keep overeating when you see your mom and your boyfriend, and why you keep it up afterwards, obsessively trying to figure it out and then coming up with some. It doesn't. It's probably anyways, to be honest, but, oh, it's because I'm trying to get a feeling of control. Who gives a. I'd much rather this question obsessively imagine. Now, you overthinkers imagine. Instead of trying to just figure out what's wrong with you, you just. Half the time you said, how can I get back on track quicker when I go and hang out with my boyfriend or my mom? How can I stay in control of my eating comfortably and easily? How can I get back on track easily and comfortably? When I get off track, what's one little thing I can do to signal to myself that I'm getting back on track? That's easy and comfortable. Is it starting to dawn on you what you'd be able to accomplish. You see, the overthinking is not the problem because listen, I'm an overthinker. I'll. I know pro people probably overthink the people. There's always people better at me than everything. So I'm sure people overthink more. I overthink. I overthink a lot. I am constantly, constantly, same brain, 50 pounds heavier. Was constantly thinking about food, watching TV, drinking, wondering what the wrong with me? How do I feel like. And obsessed with that. You have too. Why can't I get myself a start diet? Why can't I do this? Why can't I do this? Why can't I do this? What's wrong with me? Why can't I? You take half that energy, that's it. Shit. To be honest, 25% will get you amazing results. What do I want? How do I want to eat? How can I stay in control? How can I make this easy? How can I lose weight comfortably, enjoyably, automatically? Nice. But I don't know. I don't know. I asked that question. I'm gonna answer. Well, so what? You have an answer to the other one either, but that doesn't stop you from asking obsessively. If you stay obsessed on these solution oriented questions, you will develop solutions. And the more solutions you have, the better results you're going to get. And right now you have virtually no solutions. That's the real truth of the matter. It's not your willpower again. I could sit you down at a piano and you could have all the willpower in the world to want to learn it. If you don't have a structure and an approach and understanding of how to learn it, if you don't have a plan for how to learn it, you're almost not going to learn it. You know, and that's what you're trying to do with your weight, you know, Gen Xer says. Greetings, Jim. Please share your thoughts on OIC. I don't really have a lot of thoughts on OIC. I think the GLP1s are the best thing out there. Other than program yourself then. I mean, program yourself. Thin is is 100 miles greater than GLP1s. So there's no question about. It's not even up for debate. So. Okay, because listen, program yourself didn't work for everyone. No. Does GLP1s work for everyone? No. Okay, so let's take the best case scenarios because that's what you're doing with the GLP1s. You're taking the best case scenarios. Okay, so let's take the best case scenarios of program yourself, then let's compare them. So GLP1s best case scenario, you take this, you inject yourself once a week. You spend your money each month to get it, and you start feeling full, right on the edge of nauseous. The pleasure you get out of food starts to diminish and you consume less food. You make some other shifts and changes healthier that you feel easier now and you start losing weight. As long as you keep taking that medicine, keep injecting yourself, keep paying the money out, that's the best case scenario there. Okay, best case scenario, program yourself. Then you transform your mindset, your lifestyle and your reading. So it allows you to be the best version of you. And it's a plan that you love living, that fits comfortably for you like a glove. It allows you to get to your goal weight and live there for the rest of your life. But most importantly, allows you to become the best version of you. It helps you improve your relationships. It helps you get more juice out of life, helps you have more energy, improve your mindset, your lifestyle, how you eat, not just how much, you eat what you eat so that you're nourishing yourself. You start thriving, you start living on a whole nother level. You learn how to run your mind, you learn how to manage your emotions. You learn how to communicate more effectively. You improve the voice in your head. I can just keep going. And you don't have to pay any money every month. You don't have to inject yourself with anything. You're not putting any crazy medicine in your body. They're not really exactly sure exactly what this does yet. 100%. I'm sure it probably does nothing. Okay, but we don't know 100%. It doesn't mess with your hormones, doesn't mess with your pleasure levels. So, I mean, there's no question the perfume cells is, is superior. But GLP1s, in my opinion, are superior to diets. Diets don't work at all. And I think GLP1s I would do GLP1 over gastric bypass surgery for obvious reasons, I think. Right. But GLP1s are not a perfect solution, you know, in any way. I think they're a better solution than diets because diets don't work at all. And I think it's a better solution than surgery because surgery has a lot of complications. Potentially. It's a real intense thing. So those are my thoughts on that. Why do mom and boyfriend trigger me to overeat? That must be the same person. It's gotta be, right? But I don't know why your mom and boyfriend triggered overeat, but I'd want to know. I, again, that that's the question for you to answer, right? What's going on? How do I feel? Maybe if, I mean, my mom triggered me to overeat. Why? Well, because I overate with her. My whole life, she wanted me to overeat. You know what I mean? She makes foods that are easy to overeat. That's my mom. Love her. Love her to death. I've learned how to be around her and not overeat. Took a lot of practice, took a lot of work. I reflected on, understood it, thought about it, tried strategies, worked on it, and now I got solutions for it, you know, but again, don't just ask that question loosely. Think about it. Yeah. Coach Laura. Yes. Great. Love your way of thinking. Yes. I'm so sorry. Yeah. If you're a coach, right, you definitely have it. Because, you know, to be honest, I mean, again, I've taken over 100 grand in trainings over the years. It's training, certifications, coaching. And I'm a certified strategic coach. I've done tons of coach training. But I always say, like in my mind, the voice that I've developed inside my head, because we all have a negative voice. And that voice ain't going anywhere, folks. Just so you know, you can't get rid of old wiring and you can't get rid of old wiring. So you're never going to get rid of that negative voice in your head. Believe me or don't, I don't care. It's not going anywhere. Never going to go anywhere. You could lose all the weight and live at your goal weight for the next 20 years. That negative voice will still be there. My negative voice is right there, first on the scene, the primary voice I hear. The difference is I've developed a coach voice. That's what I call it. And my coach voice comes in always second on the scene. Always. I'm always negative first. Then I've trained myself, then the positive comes in. But that's fine. Do I wish I could get rid of the negative voice? Sure, absolutely. But I can't. And I don't think you can either. It's the same as, listen, I know, listen, I do this all day long. Do you think, do you think if I sent you off to China and you never heard another English speaking person, you think at some point you would forget how to speak English? Do you think so? You think you're just someday, somewhere, eventually, just stop understanding English. You won't. You'll understand English till the day you die. And you're gonna have that negative voice in your head forever. It's never going away. So the next best thing, in my opinion, is develop this coach voice. And so, again, if you're a certified coach or if you've done coach training, I think that's a huge benefit. Now, the big difference is that a lot of coaches use that voice with other people and don't use it with themselves. You know, so just be careful of that. But, yeah, I'll try something. But not the injections. Yeah. I mean, my friend takes the injections and I don't. She's lost over £20 and I've lost £9. Psy. I don't. Oh, God. And I go, I just saw DJs thing. It says, our society constantly tells us to rush. Rush Russian, that you must do it now or you'll lose out. And we apply this to weight loss, too. Agreed. And that's what I was just thinking when I read the JB's. You know, if I had a friend. If I had a friend who is losing 20 pounds on the injections and I lost nine pounds without him, I'd be feeling over the moon anyways. I wouldn't sigh. I'd be feeling great if he did that. Yeah. JB said my negative voice is an ass hat. Yes, the negative voice is a. And. And. But by the way, I will tell you, in my opinion, in my experience, the best way to deal with that negative voice is to shine a spotlight on it. I think what happens for a lot of people is the negative voice in their head, like, says something and it triggers us. So it'll say, okay, well, jb, I'll keep it specific to you. You'll step on the scale and it's down. You're like, holy shit, I've lost nine pounds. And the negative. Yeah, well, your friends lost 20 pounds. So what are you feeling good about? You've only lost your £11 down, and they're just going to keep lapping you. So what are you happy about? Stop it now. I'm just. I'm. I'm not even being over the top, actually. But I'm just using an example, right? And so now all of a sudden, you're like. You step on the scale, it goes down. You're like, holy shit, I lost nine pounds. You're excited. And then all of a sudden, this voice comes in. Yeah, but so What? Friend lost 20 and this sucks. Sigh. You suck. And now what happens in you is you feel. You step on the scale and you lost weight. You feel excited, and you end up feeling less than you feel. Oh, right. They say comparison's a thief of joy. You felt, oh, my God, I lost some weight. Oh, but my friend lost 20. So now I feel like I'm discouraged. I'm frustrated, you know, and that's how that negative voice works. It'll say something to us, and it'll create a state, you know, different states. But let's just say discouraged. And imagine that, JB Imagine you step on the scale and it's gone down. You're down nine pounds. But now your brain says, yeah, but my friend lost 20. Now you feel discouraged that you're going so slow and that it's not good enough. You see? And so what happens is that voice says something, and usually it kind of whispers something, and then it triggers a feeling in us. Discourage. Now we feel discouraged, and now we're in a state of discouragement. So for me, what a lot of what I've done working with this voice is a. I'm aware of it now. I'm very aware that even when great things happen, this voice will come in and say some negative shit, make me feel bad. And so I'm sensitive to the feelings, so I'm much more aware now that something good will happen. And I'll feel some negative thing, and I'll say, wait, what's going on there? And I'll pay attention to, like, what I'm thinking. Like, yeah, but my friend lost this. And that's where the coach voice comes in. Who gives a what they lost? We're on different paths. I've done it naturally, and I'm just going to keep on doing it. You know what I mean? And I get the feeling that I'm doing this genuinely naturally. I'm creating. Now, again, I can't speak for you. I don't know how you're doing. If you're dieting, yeah, you're gonna have a tough time talking back to it. But in Program yourself, then here's what I can say, right? So if I was doing Program yourself then, and I'd lost £9 and my friend had lost £20 on Ozempic, and I step on the scale, And I lost two more pounds, and now I'm, like, down nine pounds. And this was, yeah, but your friend lost 20 pounds. And I started to feel discouraged. Now the way says, oh, what's going on here? Well, we felt good. And then. Then I, you know, we remembered our friend lost £20. They've done twice as much as we've lost. Then here comes a coach voice who gives a shit? They're injecting themselves as medicine. And now I know a little bit about Ozempic anyways. And so it's like they are only gonna lose weight for 16 months. So maybe they'll get to a goal, maybe they won't. They're gonna have to be on those injections for the rest of their life. Look what you've done. You have lost this weight. Now, again, if I'm doing program yourself, then. Because I don't know what you're doing, jb if you're doing some crazy diet shit, then this won't work, okay? But when you're doing program yourself, then this is what I say is, I say I don't give a shit. They can lose as much way as they want because I'm focused on living at my goal weight. And the difference here is that maybe they'll be able to maintain that forever as long as they inject themselves and pay that money every month for the rest of their life. Can't even go off at once. Me, I'm building this on a solid foundation so that the weight I lose stays off and I'm set to live at this goal weight for the rest of my life. And to do it in a genuine way where I'm not only losing weight, but I'm really developing myself. Because program yourself, then we take the weight loss wrap in personal development. So, jb, you haven't just lost nine pounds. You're really setting yourself up to live in a fundamentally different way. And you're improving from the inside out. So you've not only lost nine pounds, but your mindset's getting more solid and congruent. Your lifestyle is improving. You're drinking more water, sleeping better, your eating's improved in the ways that good enough to lose nine pounds. And we're still going to keep tweaking optimist. So we'll get the exact weight we want to be at, and then we're going to live there forever. And then we're going to know we did it genuinely on top of it. And if we ever need to make adjustments, we're going to know how to do that, too. Do you feel as discouraged now? Of course not. So in my mind, what we talk about program yourself then, is debating that negative voice. Because what you'll find is that negative voice oftentimes is a shitty debater. Because what it's done is it gets its power from saying something, and it makes you feel bad and then disappears. And when it has to defend what it said, a lot of times it can't. It doesn't do a good job doing that anyways. Yeah. JB says thank you. I need to hear this. You do need to hear this, JB this is what I'm saying to all of you, and this is why I'm so excited. One of the things I'm working on. I think I mentioned this yesterday. I'm just going to say it now as I get out of here, and I don't want to. I'm trying to balance between teasing things I'm excited about and not talking about things that I never seem to happen. Because what I'm working on right now, and I'm so excited about this, is that one way or another, I'm going to give you all free access to the Circle community. Okay? But the big thing you're going to get out of that, you're going to get a couple cool things. I'm gonna give you a hypnosis so you can try that out. I'm gonna give you a training. Can watch that and understand the whole thing. But I think what most people are gonna do is they're gonna use gym AI. And what gym AI is, I'm re. I rebuilding this from the bottom up, and I just kind of reset it, and I'm tweaking it right now so we get it going better, but it's basically like talking to me. And the beauty of this is that you don't have to know anything about program yourself. Then you can go into it and say, I don't understand. I want. I need to do better. I keep overeating when I. Every time I go visit my mom. Help me deal with this, and my gym AI will literally walk you through understanding it, developing strategies and solutions to help you fix it. It's going to be a game changer. I'm so excited for you all you're going to get. I'm going to let you, Pratt. Use it for free. Okay? Not forever. It cost me money. But you will get a. A solid ass trial of it. And I think you're going to be shocked when you, like, if you all could talk to me for a half hour. I will change your lives. I will change the way you think. I know this is why people pay me a lot of money to work with me, but I can't work with everyone. This is the closest thing. And you can pop in here and Talk to it and it will literally help you very quickly change how you're thinking about very fundamental things. And this is an example of that. Because we are basically, we are always, we are all our own best or worst hypnotist because we're always in our head talking to ourselves. And most of the time that negative voice is the main hypnotist we're listening to. And it's just a miserable way to live your life and it's unnecessary. And so being able to help you change your internal dialogue to make it more positive is so exciting for me. And again, that's something that I believe I'm going to be able to offer literally everyone to at least get a solid ass trial of it, you know, and I can't wait for y' all to check it out. Julie says yep, and with huge side effects. Yeah, the side effects of Ozempic. I mean, again, I'm not here to, I work with people that are on Ozempic. There are people in the program that have it. So I'm not here to judge it or say anything bad about it. But you know, let's be honest too. I'm not gonna lie either, that Ozempic and GLP1s had been heavily tested on type 2 diabetics for over 20 years. So I think, again, I don't think there's any major side effects coming down the road. But the truth is we don't know either. And it's never, these medicines have never been tested on a non type 2 diabetic population ever. So I mean it is still in the, the beginning phases. And the other big thing that most people don't know about these medicines is that they only work for 16 months to help you lose weight. So depending how much weight you have to lose, you may not even get to your goal weight because you only get 16 months of weight loss and then it's, it stabilizes. All the studies have shown this, all the different ones, all the GLP ones, they show about 16 months of weight loss and then seems to stabilize is, and doesn't, doesn't budge. So again, I always say this, but whatever you think about GLP ones, you probably think the best stuff of it right now. And yeah, check says I'm 57 male and the no carb, no sugar isn't working anymore. Yeah, I don't doubt it. I mean, no carbs is the weirdest thing in the world. The healthiest societies, the healthiest documented societies on the planet, over and over and over and over again consume high Carb diets. Good lord. I, I don't know. I would. The keto diet was designed for epileptics. It's not a. It's not. To me, it's not a legitimate dietary option because what, what society are you modeling? What society are you modeling that what society is living in ketosis? None of them. You know, my favorite thing I love this little stat is a lot of times the keto people will reference the Inuit, Eskimo people because they, they basically, you know, at least for a period, period of the year, they just live off of whales, you know what I mean? So it's basically, it's a keto diet to the extreme. But you know what's interesting about that is that they don't go into ketosis. They got a genetic mutation that prevents them from going to ketosis. So again, the ketosis idea is a long term strategy is at the very least, it's not well studied, it's not a real strategy. And the most studied, again, you can look at the blue zones. I mean, listen, folks, every single society, what do you think they lived off of? Primarily not meat. We're the first, we're the first, America is the first giant society to live off of this much meat. So it's not, it's not, I'm not gonna say it's normal, unnormal or abnormal. You can leave that for yourself. But it's unusual because no one had the ability to eat this much meat. You couldn't catch this much meat. It's a lot of meat we eat here in America. And the idea that carbs are bad now, refined carbs are bad because baked goods is the number one source of calories for American adults. But what's happened is that again, they've lumped all these things together and it's become a, it's a ridiculous dietary concept to live with. And a lot of people get to the point where, yeah, again, it stops working at some point, there's nothing left to cut, you know, and unfortunately, unfortunately, a lot of times I think you do some real dietary damage, some metabolic damage to yourself when you follow these diets. Then the carnivore diet, you ain't a carnivore, folks. That's a crazy risk to take. To me, you ain't a carnivore. In no way are you a carnivore. And the primary way you're not a carnivore, that gives me chills is your digestive tract. So it's terrifying to me to eat so much meat People eating only meat. Well, look at my numbers. Look at my numbers. Yeah, because you were in such bad shape at the beginning that anything that's going to reduce your calories is going to show up as a health improvement for a little while. But the, it's so short sighted to me, the idea that you're, you know, and I just think we've been trained to be short sighted with all this. But yeah. Jb, does your plan work with vegetarian diet? Yeah, my plan is diet agnostic. I'm a vegetarian, pescatarian technically, but I'm a vegetarian. And program yourself then is really a diagnostic program. I have worked with keto and carnivore people. I'm shit talking a bit, you know, but it's like you do what you want to do. The golden rule of program yourself, then there's no right or wrong, there's only what works for you, you know, so again, I believe that to my, to my heart, if you want to just eat meat, I don't give a. I'll help use the program to just eat meat. You know, I don't think it makes a lot of sense, but that's not my point. I'm not a dietitian nutritionist either. So just be like, I don't talk about there, Jim. Fine. That's fine. You know, but I do think that. Well, it clearly works with vegetarians, but it really doesn't matter because you're. If someone, someone likes when I say this, but program yourself then diets are one size fits all plan. Right? Because the diet comes down the pike and they'll make you think everyone should be keto, everyone should be low fat, everyone should be able to train. Everyone should be this. Right. But program yourself then is a one size fits one plan. You're creating a plan for you and you alone. And so if you want to eat vegetarian food, then eat vegetarian food. You want to eat meat, eat meat, whatever works for you, you know, and build around that. Yeah, Julie said, my doc said thyroid cancer and blindness. But there's no behavior change which you offer. Yeah, yeah, that's the, the medicines again. I don't know. There is stuff now I will, I've read that stuff. I've, I've looked in a lot to the GLP ones and I think that it's relatively safe. I think, you know, there are pretty dramatic side effects for certain people. No question about it. You know, it is a medicine, it's a powerful medicine. But you know, again, for most people it's going to be relatively safe. So I don't want to fear monger here, you know, I don't think I need to. And again, I want to make clear that, like, what I'm talking about here really has nothing to do. You know, Ozempic is purely just about weight loss. And Program Yourself Then really is about weight loss wrapped in personal development. And it's not, in my opinion, enough just to lose weight. I think you need to transform yourself into a thin, healthy person. And so they're totally different approaches, you know, But I gotta get out of here. So if you're.
