If you're overweight, it's not because you don't have willpower. It's because you're not properly motivated. If you look at other areas of your life that are really important to you, like your kids, your work, your partner, you probably find yourself consistently doing things that you don't necessarily want to do, but you do them because it's so important to you. So it's not necessarily willpower that makes you do it. It's because you think about it and it's so important that you feel like you have to do it regardless of how you feel. Now, when we look at the weight loss and eating better, it's something you would like to do, but you don't really feel that same level of importance. And so you try and use this willpower to force yourself to do it, but that's never going to work. So the secret to getting the weight loss goals that you want is to motivate yourself properly.
