How to get decision makers to notice you on LinkedIn

In this 2026 live webinar, Joe Apfelbaum, CEO of Evvii AI, walks a mixed audience of LinkedIn users through a comprehensive 9‑step strategy for getting decision‑makers to notice, engage with, and respond to you on LinkedIn. He begins by establishing his credibility (10+ years of LinkedIn consulting, 1,000+ companies trained, author of five books, founder of an AI assistant). He outlines the common problems users face (no clear strategy, poor messaging, low engagement, ineffective automation) and asks participants to type their pain points in the chat. He then introduces a "ladder of success" (Absent → Lurker → Networker → Influencer) and shares two client success stories (Tina’s 5× business growth and Ben’s $100K consulting win). The core of the session is a live demo of the Evvii AI platform: sorting and tagging 34k connections, enriching contacts from a 480 M‑record database, generating personalized comments, posts, and connection notes, and using a Chrome extension to automate outreach across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. He differentiates Evvii AI from competitors (Goodword, Hermes) by highlighting its content‑creation, comment‑generation, and massive contact database. Throughout, he emphasizes the need for a solid strategy, clear assets (story, profile, call‑to‑action), systems (lists of decision‑makers, templates, checklists, to‑do lists), daily posting, credibility through genuine engagement, and a "greeting‑feeding‑meeting" conversation framework. He repeatedly solicits chat feedback (e.g., "write value"), promotes a community of 2,000+ members, offers a "99 hacks" guide, and ends with a call‑to‑action to text a demo number. The session blends instruction, live product walkthrough, Q&A, and sales pitches.

today. So welcome, welcome everyone. So glad you guys are here. I'm going to share my screen now so you can see my presentation. For those of you that don't know me, my name is Joe Apfelbaum. I'm the CEO of Evvii AI. I've trained over 1,000 companies on how to leverage LinkedIn over the past 10 years. And 20 years ago, I started a marketing agency called Ajax Union. And we were featured to be number 178 on the Inc. 500 as one of the fastest growing private companies in America. I'm the author of 5 books, including my most recent book, High Energy Networking. And I'm the founder of an AI assistant that helps people create more sales opportunities on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube. It's a platform that will help you save time and create comments, content, Organize your contacts. And when I'm not on stage worldwide, I'm spending time with my 5 children rollerblading and rapping in Hillside, New Jersey. So there's a lot of problems that people typically face when they're online. There's a lot of problems they face. Number one is they don't have a clear strategy. So if you need a strategy, write, I need a strategy. I'm going to show you a strategy today to get decision makers to notice you. So write that in the chat if you need a strategy. Number 2 is people have tried LinkedIn, but haven't gotten results, or they tried Facebook and they haven't gotten results. If that's you, say, I need results. Write that in the chat. If maybe you've messaged strangers and you haven't really gotten responses and you're kind of afraid of messaging people without being annoying, okay, just write DM strategy. You need a direct messaging strategy. And if you're not sure what to post on LinkedIn, write need ideas. I'll give you all the ideas that you need that people actually want to read on LinkedIn. I'll give you ideas. I'll show you a bunch of different ways to get ideas and inspiration. If your content isn't getting enough engagement, maybe you are posting on LinkedIn, but you're not getting engagement. Just write engagement in the chat. And I'll tell you how to get engagement for those of you that are curious to know about engagement. And if you're not sure how to automate the process of posting, engaging, and messaging on LinkedIn, I'll teach you the parts that you should automate. And I'll teach you the parts that you should not automate. I'll show you some of that stuff. If you need more conversations with your ideal target market and your center of influence, write conversations in the chat for those of you that are curious about how to get those conversations. Because some people just want exposure. They don't care about the conversations. Now I want you to know something. If you're not paying attention to the webinar and you're here, you're wasting your time. So pay attention because you can't do 2 things at one time. It's very difficult because some of this knowledge is going to go right over your head because we know what we know and we know what we don't know, but we don't know what we didn't even know we didn't know. So hopefully I'm going to teach you some stuff in that category where you can be more curious and you can learn about things that you didn't know you didn't even know you didn't know. LinkedIn is growing fast. It's growing at a rate of 3 new members every second. And LinkedIn CEO said he wants 3 billion people to be on LinkedIn in the next few years. I started LinkedIn when it was only 65 million members. Now it's 1.3 billion members. Microsoft, who owns LinkedIn, paid $26.2 billion for LinkedIn. It was one of the biggest tech acquisitions ever. And LinkedIn has 500 million professionals who are subscribed to newsletters. By the way, do you have a newsletter? Do you need a newsletter? Let me know in the chat. Newsletter is very powerful. Did you know that 3% of people on LinkedIn post regularly? That means 97% of people are not posting. And if you want more of the decision makers to notice you, you got to start posting regularly. LinkedIn has people from all over the world. We have clients in 40 countries around the world. When we started, I started my agency in Brooklyn. I only had clients in Brooklyn because that's where I was. I only had clients in Manhattan because I was in Manhattan. But now I have clients in the Middle East, in Africa, in Asia, in Europe, in North America, Latin America, all over the world, from Australia to New Zealand, to Israel, to London, all over the United States. So The power of LinkedIn is not just getting clients, it's also training the AI to know who you are. Because if you've ever searched anything in ChatGPT or Claude, by the way, which AI do you like using most? ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Grokbots? What are you using? Let me know. If you start, if you've been using any AI, you've been noticing that they're mentioning LinkedIn a lot. They mention LinkedIn a lot. So you need to make sure that your LinkedIn is optimized and that you're linking back to all the right places so that AI can notice you. Google indexes LinkedIn really, really well. Profiles, posts, newsletters. And so getting indexed will help you build authority and get noticed by your decision makers. Now there's a ladder to success. The ladder to success is on the bottom is people that are absent, then people that are lurkers, then people that are networkers, and then people that are influencer. If you're absent, that means you have a LinkedIn account, but you rarely log in. Your key to success is awareness. You need to understand the power of LinkedIn. A lot of people have self-limiting beliefs around LinkedIn and they believe, oh, LinkedIn, LinkedIn doesn't work. LinkedIn is for weird influencers who just want to get attention. LinkedIn's not for me. LinkedIn, there's no millionaires on LinkedIn. Well, let me tell you something true. The millionaires are on LinkedIn. The billionaires are on LinkedIn. LinkedIn's a platform that has all the decision makers from all the Fortune 500 companies, from all the Fortune 1000 companies. They're all on there. They're decision makers from all the companies everywhere, from small businesses like plumbers to big businesses. Like data centers. They're on LinkedIn. You just don't know how to find them. You're just not connected to them. By the way, in the chat, tell me, how many connections do you have on LinkedIn right now? If you're a lurker, that means you have a lot of connections, but you're not doing things. You're not taking action. By the way, it's not your fault if you're not taking action. It just means that you don't have the right strategy. So if you're here today, I'm going to show you my strategy. It's a 9-step process. I'm going to walk you through it step by step. But first, I want to tell you the story about Tina. Tina came to me because she was part of a BNI group. Anybody here in BNI or any networking group? Tina came to me because she was in BNI, but she wasn't using LinkedIn effectively. She wasn't using LinkedIn effectively. So she came to me and I showed her how to use LinkedIn effectively. I showed her how to connect, how to post, how to engage, how to message, how to do all the right things all the right ways. And she started taking Action. And guess what happened? She started taking action and she started getting results. In just 5 years, she, she 5x'd her business. She 5x'd her business. And she's like, dude, it's all because of LinkedIn. I can't believe it. It's all because of LinkedIn. So if you're not getting results from LinkedIn, it's not because LinkedIn doesn't work. It worked for Tina. But it's because she needed the right strategy, the right community, the right support system, the right mindset shifters. She needed to shift her mindset. There's another guy, Ben. He came to me, he said, Joe, I need to get a job. I said, how much money do you wanna make? He said, $100K. I said, okay, sign up to Evvy AI, sign up to the pro version of Evvy AI that comes with training and support and community. And he's like, okay, I'll swing. I'll take a swing at it. I'll invest a couple thousand bucks. He signed up. Within 97 days, he did not find a job. He did not find a job, but he called me up and he said, Joe, I did not find a job, but I have good news. I said, what? He's like, I closed a $100,000 consulting gig. I was like, oh my God. Wow. How did that happen? He's like, I followed, I followed your advice. I did your 4 steps and the 4 steps worked. I said, can you write me a testimonial? He said, absolutely. He went and wrote me a testimonial on evviaireviews.com. And by the way, it's not just him. I have 500 written recommendations from my clients. How do I know this works is because my clients tell me it works and it works for me too. So if you wanna find a really good job, you need the right strategy. If you wanna find really good consulting, you need the right strategy. If you want to get decision makers to notice you, you need the right strategy. You can't be lurking. Lurking is not a strategy. The next thing is a networker. The next stage up is a networker. A networker is someone who dabbles on LinkedIn. Once in a while they log in, they take a few actions and then they leave. They're not doing it consistently. If you want results in the gym, if you want results in your relationships, you need Consistency. Consistency comes from accountability. If you don't have accountability, you're not going to have consistency. So where are you on the ladder of success? Self-identify in the chat right now. Are you an absent? By the way, there's no shame no matter where you are. You just have to know where you are. Are you a lurker? Are you a networker? Or are you influencing the right decision makers right now? Where are you? Absent. And maybe you're in between absent and lurker. Maybe you're in between lurker and networker. Maybe you're not sure where you are, but you're somewhere in the middle. Let me know where you are. A lot of people are dabbling somewhere between lurker and networker. And those are our best customers because when we give them a combination of strategy and accountability, they start getting results because chances are, You're already connected to the right people. Jen Nash is already connected to the right people. She just needs to make sure that the right decision makers are actually noticing her. She needs to make sure that the right decision makers are actually paying attention to her. Now, she said probably yes, because maybe Jen Nash is not using all the features of Evie AI yet. Maybe she needs to tune into those features. I'll give you an example. I'm gonna, I'm gonna open up Evie AI for you guys to kind of see it right now in real time. I want you guys to see it in real time. Do you see on the left side it says connections here? Connections. I click on connections. These are my connections. I'm actually gonna delete this one. This one says John Doe on it. It's a fake connection. I'm gonna press delete. I'm gonna delete this. So these are all real people, real human beings. Okay? They're not fake human beings. They're real human beings. Any fake human beings here? By the way, if you're real in the chat, say I'm real. If you're fake, just say I'm fake. By the way, I have a suspicion that Ava, there's someone named Ava with no camera there. I'm suspicious that Ava, Eva is fake. Eva, if you're real, just say I'm real. If not, we're going to put you in the waiting room because I think you might be, you might be AI, Eva. E-V-A. Let's just see if you're real or you're fake. Eva, you got about you got about ten seconds to get into the chat and let us know that you're real, or we're gonna put you in the waiting room, Eva. Forever, you're gonna be forever in the waiting room, Eva. So guys, write I'm real. Otherwise, I'm think you're a robot. We need real humans here. That's how you do business. By the way, you guys notice that Eva still hasn't commented? You see, she has no video attached. There's an M dash in her name. Do you see her at the bottom of the participants list? Eva, we're gonna put you in the waiting room because you're a bot. You can't even chat if you wanted to chat, Eva. I would be so surprised if Eva unmuted and started talking now, but she's not. She's an she's an AI assistant, and it doesn't say AI assistant on it, which is I don't even know if that's even legal to do. But anyway, we're putting Eva— oh, she's, she's a group assistant. Okay. Eva's in the waiting room now.
I've put them in the waiting room.
Okay. If they want to come back, they can text me, email me, whatever. We can figure it out. We, our team can even message them privately in the waiting room from, from ourselves. We can message them and say, hey, if you're real, message me back and we'll let you back in. Okay. Interesting. Right? So if you're real, write that you're real in the chat to make sure that you're real, because we don't need robots here. We need— we're real human beings. We need real human beings. Okay. So back to what I was saying before is I have all my connections over here, but I want to sort them and organize them. Because as you can see on the bottom, it says I have 34,422 people here. You see? So Jen, I want to sort these and organize them. How am I going to do that? What am I going to do? I'm going to play a game called the sort. I'm going to say all the connections that came in, and I'm not going to sort out this year. I'm going to sort out Um, a different year. I'm gonna pick 2020. Let's see. I'm gonna pick 2023, January of 2023. Okay. That's fine. January of 2023. And then I'm gonna go, I want January 2023 till January 2024. Okay. I'm gonna press start around. It's gonna show me all the people that I connected to in January of 2023 to January 2024. That's 2,067 people. And then I can say, do I know this person, Michael, or do I not know this person? I'm going to say, I don't know this person. I'm not recognizing the name. Wes Brown, I actually know, and I need to ask him if he wants an intro. Okay, so now I can do this with keyboard shortcuts to go really, really quick. So I'm going to press no, no, and you could see how quickly I'm— this guy's actually a very important contact. I need to follow up with him. So I'm going to press follow up. You see it says follow up here. When I click follow up, it adds a follow up tag. And then I'm going to mark him as someone that I know. But do you see the way I'm able to just quickly be able to start categorizing each person? I look at their name and I identify if I know them or I don't know them. This person I need to follow up with. I'm going to say I don't know them. I mean, I know this person, Laura. I definitely need to follow up with Laura, see how she's doing. She had a baby. I'm going to say yes, probably she's open for intros. And then when I'm done, I could even let the timer run out 5 minutes, or I could press end round. And now I sorted these 13 people. You see, now I made a mistake with Rob. I said I didn't know Rob, but I do know Rob. So I'm going to look for Rob on this list. You see, Rob is right here. And I'm going to say, actually, you know what? I know him. And he's open for intros. Okay. I'm done. I can go back to connections and then I can filter for all the people that I sorted here. I could say all the people that I know, show me the people that I know and hit apply. And it's going to show me all the people that I know. Now I can go to Laura's profile and I can open up her LinkedIn. And when I open up Laura's LinkedIn, you see, this is Laura's LinkedIn. I can click on contact info. And I have her new email address over here, you see? But that doesn't say that ATIA Elevator. So I'm going to message her over here and I'm going to say, long time no speak. Are you working for a new company, a new elevator company? Okay. I just sent her a message. Are you working for a new elevator company? Okay. Because her, her email has the old elevator company there. You see? I'm gonna go to this new elevator company. I'm gonna click on it. I'm gonna follow the new elevator company, and I'm gonna check to see who works at the new elevator company. You see? And then I see the director of marketing for the elevator company. His name is Tom. That's the guy I wanna work with. So how do I get in touch with Tom? Well, the first thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna save him into Evvy AI. The way that I save him into Evvy AI is I go to my network here and I press check tab, the top right corner. And I'm going to save him as a prospect. I'm going to type in prospect and I'm going to save him as a prospect. Now I have him as a prospect here. Now I'm going to click on the enrich button here by his contact info. You see it says enrich. I click on enrich from profile URL and it's going to check to see if his email address is in our database of 480 million people. While it's doing that, I'm also going to click on contact info to see if he has any contact info. He doesn't. But I have all his information here. You see, I have his email address, all his phone numbers, his verified information. I see he's a male. I have his website. I have everything about him here. I'm going to press save. And I just saved all his information. I'm going to say I don't know him. Okay. I tagged him as someone I don't know. And I'm going to look him up to see if he recently posted by clicking on this link on top. If he recently posted on LinkedIn, I'm going to go ahead and comment. I see he posted. He reposted something a week ago. He reposted his company page thing. I'm going to be leaving a comment on his company page, just like that. Now I am going to tag him in this comment. So I'm going to press@ and I'm going to say Tom H— what's his last name? Tom— I'm going to zoom in. Hubbell. Okay, right there. Thank you. Tom Hubbell. Okay, so I'm going to paste this in here just like that. @TomHubbell. @TomHubbell. I'm going to look for the guy with the tie right here, and I'm going to press comment. So now I am staying top of mind with him. Do you guys see what I did? I commented on his company pages he's responsible for because he's director of marketing, and then I tagged him separately. You see, I, I took something that he reposted 2 weeks ago. I tagged it separately, and then I added him to the system, and now I'm gonna send him a connection request. How do I send him a connection request? I'm gonna open up his profile from within Evvy AI. I'm gonna click connect, and then I'm gonna click on add a note, and then Evvy AI will draft the note for me. Tom, your focus on strategic marketing and practical communication at Ava AI stood out to me. I really enjoy connecting with leaders who have complex business challenges and blah, blah, blah. Would you be open to connecting with me? Boom. I sent him a connection request. I didn't have to write the note, but I first engaged, engaged with his company page and tagged him. So by the way, if you're getting value, write value in the chat. Did you create a link with Rocket for that contact API? We have data in Evy AI. We have 480 million people inside Evy AI. That's how I do it. Evy AI has data. So if you go to evyai.com and you press login, you can click on prospects on the left side. I'm gonna close the extension. You can click on prospects on the left side. You can type in any domain like evyai.com and you can find out who works there. So find out who works there and press save.
For right now?
Yes, for right now. You can find out who works there right now and press save. You can do any company domain. Give me, guys, give me a company you want to go after. Give me a company that you want to go after and I'll be more than happy to help you.
Joe, so we have a question from Jen. It says, how is this different to Goodword or Hermes?
Okay, the difference, the difference between Evy AI and tools like Hermes is Hermes doesn't have access to 480 million emails and phone numbers. Hermes doesn't allow you to post directly to LinkedIn.
Hang on, hang on, hang on. You asked, are there companies you want to get into?
Got it.
LinkedIn and Hermes, but I was throwing out Hermes. The question is, how is this different to Goodword? Because Goodword will overlay with LinkedIn and your email inbox, et cetera.
Okay, so Goodword is a relationship intelligence tool. Evvy AI is an AI assistant that covers both the content side and the network side. That's the core difference. It pulls everyone you know into one organized view, that places all the places that already work with you. So for example, you can search in plain text. If you're using Goodword, you can search in plain text, Series A fintech investors in New York, and it'll surface the people that you actually have paths to get into. Okay, that exists. Where Evvii AI is different is that Evvii AI has content creation, comment generation. You can't leave comments with Goodword. You can't write posts. I'm gonna write a post right now. Write a post about the importance of networking and mentioning people in comments when you're building relationships on LinkedIn. Okay, and I press go and Evvy AI will write a post for me just like that. You see, in my voice, it'll tell my story. It'll, it'll, it knows everything about me. You see, it knows exactly how I talk. It does it in a beautiful, beautiful way. And if, when you press the copy button here, you can paste, copy the Unicode. You see, it says Unicode. Unicode means the words will stay bold on LinkedIn. That's something that we have that other platforms do not have. Okay. So I'm going to paste, I'm going to put it in the chat so you can see this post in the chat and you can read it. If you guys want to read the post. I'll read, I'll put the post and it, there's a whole story here. A few years ago, I was afraid to put my photo online. Today I have meaningful relationships with people all around the world because of showing up, listening up, making introductions. That's powerful. It knows that I used to be afraid. You guys see that? It knows that I used to be afraid. It wrote a whole post about that. That's a story worth telling. Only Evvy AI can do that. Also, Evvy AI can do this on Facebook, on Twitter, on YouTube. You can leave comments, send messages on all the different platforms. Also, our agent has 480 million records in our database, CEOs in New York, and it gives you the contact details for people you've never even met. GoodWords is only giving you people that are in your network. You know what I mean? Only one hop away. We're giving you people that you have no relationship with at all. I have no relationship with the marketing director of Ada Elevators, but now I'm gonna have a relationship with that decision maker, Jen. I had no idea who he was. Also, we have a Chrome extension that lives inside LinkedIn and YouTube and inserts text while you're working. Goodwords extension is just a connector that syncs your network into their app. They don't give you any functionality other than the sync. Also, we have a community. So if you click on community on the left side, you see where it says Evie AI community. We have a community of 2,000 people that are engaging and supporting each other. So if you go here, Rick posted this today and 56 people commented on it. You see Miles and Rick and Felix, who's on this call. Felix is on this call. Felix, are you on this call? You wanna say hello? Hello. Felix is on this call. Arlene, uh, Mansago, Michael North, Joe Mitchell, Troy. And by the way, I spoke to Joe Mitchell the other day. He is like, Joe, thank you so much for creating Evvy AI. I said, why? He's like, because I signed up for other programs where I paid tens of thousands of dollars and I didn't get one-tenth of what I got with Evvy AI. You with me? This is— these are— I get real testimonials from my clients that absolutely love what we're doing. By the way, Mike Larkin is here. Mike, if you want to speak up, you're welcome to speak up, Mike. Mike is a big advocate of ours. He's always smoking cigars. Mike, you want to say hello? Mike, what do you think about the value? What— Michael— Mike, what do you think about the value that we add? Remember yesterday I showed you how to do the MCPs?
Oh yeah, yeah, it's, it's incredible. His— Joe's— not the free— the, the trainings that are involved, uh, with our yearly subscription is fantastic. And then he has these additional trainings that he has, uh, with AI and some of the other things. And I swear, just the— it was a 3-hour training yesterday, and Just in that 3 hours, you know, I think you charged $297 for the AI Circle. Isn't that what it is, Joe?
Yeah.
And I, I think it was worth 10, 20 times that value on— for those 3 hours. It was incredible. I, I went ahead, I recorded it. I'm actually going back and forth with my Notion recording to figure out what I need to do to really leverage the training that Joe gave us. the other day because he goes through so much so fast. You've got to look at it again.
Awesome. Awesome.
So what I'm saying is sign up for his other modules that he puts out there.
Awesome. Thank you so much, Mike. All right. Back on track to the presentation. Thank you, Jen, for getting us back on track after asking that great question that you asked and took us on a little bit of a journey. But let's take a look. So if you're, if you're here, if you're absent, if you're a lurker, if you're a networker, if you're an influencer, if you want to take things to the next level, get more awareness, strategy, accountability, here are the things that you need to do. Step number 1 is you need a strategy. The right strategy will save you a decade. You need a business plan, a marketing plan, and a LinkedIn plan. You need to understand who your ICP is, who your ideal clients are. And you need to understand who your COIs are. Your ICP is your ideal client profile. Your COIs are your centers of influence. Then you need to figure out is what is the promise? What are the pains, the goals, the dreams, the fears of your ideal clients so that you can craft your promise? By the way, our agent comes up with all this for you. You don't have to worry about your business plan, marketing plan, and LinkedIn plan. We have all the frameworks done. We have videos. And we have all the frameworks that will basically write the whole thing up for you. Same thing with your ICP. We'll figure out who your ICP is and your COIs and show you where the people are. And then what is the promise? The promise is what do you need to say in order for your decision makers to actually notice your messages? Have you ever gotten an email and then your email got totally ignored? Have you ever sent somebody an email or you got an email and ignored somebody? Has that ever happened to you? It's because the words didn't resonate with what your expectations are, with your need, with your goal, with your dreams, with your fears. I often, I was talking to a client of mine yesterday. His name is Joe. And initially I found him because he cold emailed me. He's a guy that is a service provider and he cold emailed me. And I responded to the cold email because The promise was so good. The promise was so good that I would feel stupid not responding. And so I responded to Joe, even though I had no idea who he is out of the blue. He cold emailed me and I responded to his cold email and we became friends and he became a client of mine and I became a client of his. Why? Because his promise was spot on. We can help you build out your promise. Once you have a clear foundation, which is your strategy, then you need assets. Assets are, what is your story? Do you guys know your story or you need to figure out your story? Say, I know my story, or I need to figure out my story in the chat. Tell me. You need stories because decision makers don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Have you guys ever heard that before? I'm going to go ahead and share a quick story with you guys. An example of a story that I shared that really helped me stay top of mind With my clients. So I'm going to pull up my posts. Let's just see if my posts actually load on LinkedIn real quick. It's not loading. So let me just go to my profile. Let me scroll down to my most recent post over here from today.
Thank you. Listen and have a safe drive.
Okay, here you go. Here's my post from today. Did you guys see this post yet? Did you guys see it? Yes or no? If you haven't seen it yet, I'll put it in the chat for you guys to look at and read later. I got 2,505 impressions on this post. Now, why did I get thousands of impressions on a post that has a picture of me and my daughter? Why? The reason I got so many impressions is because I told a story. I started with, sometimes I feel, I ask myself if I'm really a good father. I know I'm a good CEO, but am I a good dad? How do you know if you're actually a good father? Now, this sentence is a sentence that appears before the more button. Are you guys familiar with the more button? The more button on LinkedIn is if you're on the LinkedIn feed, you're going to see that there's a more button over there. So there was a guy named David who came to me. He's like, Joe, I'm posting on LinkedIn and my decision makers are not noticing me. I looked and all his posts were promotions. Promotions are annoying. By the way, how do you feel when someone's just selling to you? Are you happy? You love when people sell to you constantly selling, selling, selling things you don't want to buy. You don't love it, right? It's not fun. Tell me how you feel in the chat. How do you feel when someone's just selling, selling, selling? I got so many people trying to sell me stuff on LinkedIn. People tell me. I was like. Okay, well, they're doing it the wrong way. People are not doing it the right way. That's not how you grow your business. You don't just sell, sell, sell, sell, sell to people who don't wanna buy. What you do is you tell a story. And the story is I sat down to have dinner with my daughter last night and she told me how much she loves me and how much she appreciates me. She specifically told me I'm the most generous parent she ever had in her life compared to her friends, compared to anyone she knows. She never met a more generous father. I told her the secret to living is giving. I don't just live it in business. I live it everywhere. She asked me if I'm happy. And then I went on and I wrote a whole thing. Okay. I was vulnerable and I wrote a whole story here. You might ask me, Joe, why did you write this story? This story doesn't explain what you do for a living. My LinkedIn profile explains what I do for a living. I don't need to show people what I do for a living in every single post. What I need to know, and I need to show people, is that I have a story and that I'm real. Just like you guys all chatted over here and you wrote, you're real, you're real, you're real, you're real. You know what I mean? By the way, does anybody want me to look at their profile on LinkedIn and give them some advice on their profile specifically? I'll pull it up right now if you want me to do that. But let me get back to the strategy in just a moment. But if anybody wants me to look at their profile, drop your profile in the chat. If you already dropped it, drop it again. I'll take a look at your profile. Jen said yes. Let me look up Jen Nash. Okay, I'm gonna look her up. She's here. She's an ICF PCC. Is this you? Okay, she gave me a thumbs up. Oh, looks like you have six thousand seven hundred and seventy-seven followers. That's seven seven seven. That's six seven seven seven. You know the kids do that? They're like six seven six seven. But anyway, that's very nice. Well done. What I would add is if you want people to contact you, you know the way I have on my profile, my contact information right under where, under my logo, right over here? You can add your contact information right over here. Have you ever seen that on anyone's profile, Jen? I'll show you on mine here, watch this. I'm gonna open up my profile. Do you see it says WhatsApp me, 917-865-7631? Can you guys see that? Do you know how to add that?
I'm sure I could figure it out. AI will tell you everything. But why would I do that? Because then the bots are going to like scan you, aren't they?
The bots don't scan me. I have WhatsApp and the only people that message me is— I just got a message from a guy who's a Tiger 21 person and he just messaged me because he saw me on WhatsApp. He saw I wrote WhatsApp me and he WhatsApped me. I don't get bots WhatsApping me. I get humans. And so, and I have 57,000 followers, not 6,700. You know what I mean? So a lot of people think it's a misnomer that they think that if you put your contact information that everyone and their mother is going to start texting you and emailing you. It's not true. People barely are even—
Do you have my contact info? Because I think I actually have email.
You do. You have email.
And I have phone number. I have everything.
You have everything there, but I'm all— you— I could only see it because I'm connected to you. A lot of my, my potential clients are second-degree connections. They can't see that. You get what I'm saying? They can't, not everyone can see it. They can only see it if they're connected to you. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna pull up your profile here and then I'm gonna open up Evie AI. You see, I'm gonna open up Evie AI and then Evie AI is gonna tell me if, um, if you're in, if I already saved you. So I'm gonna press this little button here. It's gonna say, yeah, Joe, you already saved her. Now I'm gonna see if I have your contact info here. And you see, I have your contact info saved right here. You see? It's already, already in here. Everything is already saved. Now your location is not here. You're in New York City. Um, and if your birthday's in here, I'm not sure I have your birthday. It looks like I don't have your birthday here. So for people that I don't have their birthdays, Jen, what I will often do is I will click on the Facebook button over here, and this will start searching you on Facebook. Now it's also including the ICF thing here and the PCC, which might not be on Facebook. So I'll search Jen Nash on Facebook and see if I can find you on Facebook. Lives in New York.
And that's actually pretty impressive because it's hard to find me.
Yeah. So, so I just press add friend. So now we can be friends on Facebook. Then I press about, and then I try to find your birthday here under personal details. And it shows me that you don't have it. You see, you don't have your birthday here. Some people do put their birthdays.
That's a security risk, dude.
Okay. Um, it's also, also you could put your fake birthday and then what ends up happening is people—
Yeah, but then I get all these stupid happy birthdays on the wrong day. I'm not into it.
Okay. Got it. Got it. Got it. Okay. Sometimes I put, I change my birthday to a different day if I'm feeling lonely and everybody wishes me a happy birthday on that day. It's so nice. So nice. So like September—
That, by the way, that is a great LinkedIn post. That is a fucking hack. I love that. I'm going to talk about that. Thank you.
Oh, thank you. Thank you. And by the way, I got 99 hacks and a pitch ain't one of them. So for those of you that want to see my 99 hacks, um, you can see some of them here. So if you like 99 hacks, I'm going to put it in the chat over here so you guys can go grab those 99 hacks. I put one there for free and the other ones are a buck apiece. So if you guys want hacks, you can definitely get the 99 hacks from the 99 hacks I put in the chat. But anyway, your profile is pretty decent. Um, I like your profile. I'm going to click on the about section to see what your call to action is. I don't see a call to action here. Like you're not telling me what to do. So I would definitely improve your about section by adding a call to action for you, Jen. And also your services are fine. You even have reviews on your services. That's great. You do have a post that has 100 likes and 27 comments. What I would do is I would put 3 separate things here. I put a video, not to send people to YouTube. I would keep them on LinkedIn. I would put a video. I would put a, like a PDF one-sheet about you, but I would do it within a post, like I could connect it to a document. And then I would start a LinkedIn newsletter if I were you, and I would connect my LinkedIn newsletter right here. So I'll show you what that looks like on my profile. So if I go to my profile, I click on my name and I click on view profile. I'll show it to you on my profile what that looks like, because you want decision makers to engage with your most recent video. So I posted this video. By the way, can you guys do me a solid and comment on this video here? Because I'm trying to get to 100 likes and 100 comments on this particular video. And the best way to do it is to ask people that know you, like you, and trust you to comment on it. So we do have 3 dozen people here. So if you all liked this video, give me a thumbs up on this video. I would get to 100 likes and that would just, it's just from an aesthetic standpoint that would help me. So I'm not trying to go viral, but if you guys could like this video, that'd be great. When I refresh this right now, this video, I should see at least 10 of you liked it. So let's see. And a lot of you already liked it. So right now it still says 71, but I know there's a lot of first-time people here. So please do that. Um, Trina, the way that you add your contact information to the top right corner there, we actually discussed it in the LinkedIn Influencer Summit. Have you guys ever heard of the LinkedIn Influencer Summit? So every year you could put this in your calendar, February 17th, 2027. We're doing it at 2:00 PM. It's a 3-hour event. Put it in your calendar. We still don't have the page up for it, but every single year we host an event called the LinkedIn Influencer Summit. And we actually give our clients the recording of the summit. And this past year in the summit, we taught exactly how to do it. So if you go to Influencer Summit right over here, I'll share the link to you, Trina. Trina, you're a client. So you have access to the replay. It's a 6-hour video. Um, and all the details of how to do it is right on here. So definitely check this out. And, um, and we'll, you know, you'll be able to watch exactly all the hacks from all the influencers, both for 2026 and 2025. And if you need every year of the last 9 years, we make that available to our Bundle Plus clients as well. So you should be able to access it right there, Trena. I just sent it to you. Um, and I'll show you exactly. We have a short video that explains how to do it. Um, but you know, from your perspective, I would improve the featured section, uh, Jen. Um, and then I would also, you know, your posts are good. I would get a newsletter for sure. And when you add that document, the document that I added on my profile, I'll just quickly show you the document I added. So I showed you guys a video. Hopefully I have more than 71 likes now. Now I have 77 likes. Oh my God, that's great. Do you see this one sheet? This is called a business networking one sheet. So everybody should have a business networking one sheet. And we, we, Evvii builds you that one sheet for you so you don't have to build it yourself. But the business networking one sheet is something that allows you to be able to tell people about you, your current projects, who you work with, how to introduce people to you, and your skills, experience, and passions. If you want to learn how to do it, it's really easy. If you go to Evvy AI and you click on a text, create a text thing, and then you click on quick generators, you'll see one of the generators that we have is called a networking one sheet. So all you got to do is upload your LinkedIn PDF here and hit generate and it'll generate it for you. If your soul is filled out, then it'll just generate it based on your soul. You guys see it says soul here. So we have an AI soul for you. Because we want everything to be human. So we have About Me, My Business, Who I Help, what I post about, my brand, and anything else. And then you can just answer questions over here and it'll kind of do it. Or if you click on Guided Setup on the top right, you can automatically go through the process. We will actually go through your website, your LinkedIn, and your presence and fill this whole thing out for you if you want. So you don't have to do it yourself. All right, back to the presentation. That was a little shortcut there. We talked about stories. We talked about profile. Now let's talk about systems. You need the right systems. The systems are the workflows. The systems are the assets, like the templates that you use, the lists. Do you have a list of your decision makers that need to be in front of you? If you, if you, so tip number 1, Of 4 tips. I'm gonna give you guys 4 tips right now, but tip number 1, to get decision makers to follow you, remember you, and notice you, you need to have a list of your decision makers. So in the chat, tell me, do you have a list or do you need a list? Tell me right now in the chat, do you have a list or do you need a list? If you need a list, no problem. We help our clients build lists, but at least acknowledge that you need one as the first step. That's part of systems. Then you need templates for what to send those decision makers. That's all based on your strategy. Then you need checklists for exactly what to do. That's part of systems. You need a to-do list. If you don't have a to-do list for what to do with each decision maker, that's a huge problem. Do you have a to-do list or do you need a to-do list? Let me know in the chat. For each person that's an ideal client on LinkedIn, you need a step-by-step to-do list for what to do. So I need a to-do list, or you have a to-do list. That's all part of systems. And where are you going to track those to-do lists? And by when are you going to do it? And all the productivity systems that you need. Again, all that is something that's built into Evvy AI. Okay. The next thing you need to do is you need to post Every day. If you don't want to post every day, at least post every week, but post daily. I saw Jen Nash posted like a short while ago. Mike posted a short while ago. All of our clients are posting regularly. Why are they posting regularly? Because you saw how easy it was to write a post in your voice. Perfect every single time. You need to create images that look like you, that sound like you. that smell like you. You need credibility. You need to be leaving comments. When you leave comments on other people's posts, did you guys notice that I left a comment on the guy's post and I tagged him? I didn't even leave on his post. I left on his company page 'cause he didn't post, but I tagged him anyway. Chances of me getting a meeting with a director of marketing and closing a $180,000 deal is much, much higher If I tag the person and if I send them a connection request and if I build a relationship and one of my connections that I sorted out, remember I said I needed to follow up because I used the sort game. I used the sort game and I followed up with her. I noticed she's working at a new company now. She's going to get me in the door. I'm going to call her cell phone as soon as we're off here and be like, hey, how's the baby? Because she had a baby. I saw you're working at a new company. I want to meet your director of marketing. Could you introduce me? The director of marketing is going to get an email introduction from my contact within the company who just started working there because she loves me. She absolutely loves me and I love her. So she's going to make an intro for me. So that's credibility. That's the ultimate credibility. And the next thing is conversations. So number 4, so number 1 is you need systems. Number 2 is you need exposure. Number three is you need credibility, and number four is you need conversations. The conversations come from what I call the greeting, feeding, and meeting system. Have you guys ever heard of that before? Is that new to you? Say new to me in the chat if it's new to you. We have a knowledge base, a deep knowledge base of all the different things, our philosophy, how to do everything. We have the method. We have the one five when the one 5, 10, 20 daily prescription. We have the greeting, feeding, and meeting system. Pitches get stitches. I got 99 hacks and a pitch ain't one of them, says Joe Apfelbaum. You see that? Greeting, feeding, and then meeting. We teach our clients the 5 I's of the relationship. What are the 5 I's? The Evergreen Networking System. Everything. We have all the features, all the benefits, All the tools. We have tons and tons of tools. We have a story finder tool. The information tells people what you do, what you know. Stories show them how you learned it, and stories are what they remember. The story finder finds the stories you already have: your origin, the turning points, the client wins—all of it. Crazy, right? We build it all for you. That. Is powerful. So my question to you is, do you need help? Do you want support? If you need help and you want support, just write interested in the chat. We'll schedule a quick call with you. We'll talk to you about a special deal that we have going on, and we'll help you build your business. We'll help you with everything— LinkedIn recommendations, your company page, Posting on LinkedIn, a networking strategy. And if you got value today by coming here, just write value in the chat. Write value. I'm curious to know if you got a little bit of value. If you got zero value, write zero value. If you got value, write value. By the way, I love how much Jen is engaging with me. Jen, you were an all-star engager. Thank you, Jen. She wrote value and then she left. Okay, great. I'm glad she left. She got what she needed and she's gone. Have a good day. Thank you. Come again. See you next time. So anyone, anyone has any questions, feel free to, to, to unmute yourself and tell me, what do you, what do you need? What do you need help with? Bob, what do you need help with? Margaret, what do you need help with?
Hey, Joe.
Yeah.
It's Trina.
Hi, Trina.
How's it going?
Good.
Okay. For everyone who's not met Joe before, what I— one of the things I most appreciate about him is his sense of humor.
Funny.
I did have a question, and I don't know if you'll remember this, but recently you had suggested that I was posting too much on LinkedIn.
Yeah.
And now you're seeing posts every day. Do you think you— do you recall, was it the style of posts that you were seeing from me, or has something changed in frequency?
I think if you're posting 5 times a day or every hour, that's a problem. You know what I mean?
I was just posting once a day.
I can take a— I mean, are you— were you getting engagement on all your posts?
Yeah, I was. Not like super crazy engagement, but I was getting engagement for sure.
You know what I would tell you is that Once a day is fine. Once a day is good. I don't think I ever told somebody not to post once a day on LinkedIn. I think once a day is pretty good. It's a very good thing to do is to post once a day. I highly recommend posting once a day on LinkedIn. I have always recommended that. So that's definitely something that I think you should do, but because a post usually expires after a day. So that's why I say recommend post once a day.
Yeah. Thank you.
My pleasure. Anybody have any other questions? That was a simple question. I love that. Anybody have any questions, comments? Margaret, if you're here and you want to chat, let's talk. Tell me about your business. What do you do? Unmute yourself if you'd like.
Yeah, so I work in data protection, cybersecurity. I have my own company and right now, so I operate mainly highly regulated sectors. And I'm looking to get clients from those sectors, so mainly medtech. So right now I have quite a lot of followers. However, it's like from technical background and not too much from the medtech as such. So that's one of the problems, basically how to reach to that pool of the clients that I have to reach.
Yeah, for you would be getting a strategy. You probably need the bundle. When somebody buys your product and service, how much do they pay you, Margaret?
It depends on the project and depends on the services. We also offer the platform right now.
Yeah, give me an example of some of a client you recently got and how much they spend with you.
So can be $5K per month, can be more. It really depends on the project, can be based on the platform just right. few days. So it's really very dependent, but it's also because it's data protection. So it's like very highly trust-related. So it's really important to build up the trust. No one will give you access to your systems, you know, just on the whim. Yeah. So that's another problem. So I try to, so when I'm posting, I'm doing some personal posts, I'm getting engaged, some podcasts and so on. So I just try to show those expertise not only via the post, but also via the show, the other engagements basically. And right now doing, working towards get my posts like a little bit more personalized, even a little bit more about me and where I come from. So I working on that angle because that wasn't really much before.
Yeah. So you're located in Canada. Right?
Yeah. Yeah.
And I'm looking at your LinkedIn profile right now. I'm going to pull it up on the screen so everyone can see your LinkedIn profile. You see, you are a fractional CISO turning AI and cyber risk into executive clarity. You sent me a connection request. I'm going to accept it. Then I'm going to pull open your profile right over here. And the easiest thing you can do to build trust is to save someone's profile into Evie AI. Like I'm about to save your profile into Evie AI, you see? And once they're saved into Evie AI, then you need to enrich their profile with information. So if I click on contact info, do you see I have all your contact info here, including your birthday?
Mm-hmm.
So I'm gonna click on contact information over here and I'm gonna press enrich from visible screen. You see that? It's gonna automatically pull all your information here. And save everything into Evvy AI. Okay. When I click on enrich from visible screen and what the beauty of this, of the beauty of this process is that you don't have to sit there and manually do things. You don't have to sit there and copy the, the cell phone number, the email address in. You can literally just click enrich and then it automatically pulls all the information out for you. And then you press save and all the information gets saved here. You see? Now, once the information is all saved, then I can use Evvy AI. We have an agent that will look you up on 500 websites in about 5 seconds, and then tell me everything there is to know about you. Conversation starters, all of your achievements, potential business opportunities. So imagine for each one of the decision makers, you know everything about them. You know every single thing about them and what to say to them. So if I pick up the phone and call somebody and I know exactly what to say to you, it's a whole different ballgame. So one client could be for you, could be $50,000 to $100,000 a year, one client. So me teaching you how to build a strategy, how to support you, it makes sense for you to sign up to our Bundle Plus. We have a program called the Bundle Plus. I'll send it to you privately on LinkedIn because you're one of the few people here that actually are qualified for that. A lot of our clients are here as well. They already got it. Thebundleplus.com right here. I just sent it to you privately. Okay.
Okay. Thank you.
So this is our special deal that we have going on where we combine our strategy, our community, our technology, everything in one. And that will help you be able to take your business to the next level. We'll onboard you, support you, guide you, coach you, train you, and then We'll teach you how to go from 2,000— we'll basically organize your 2,900 people, and then we'll give you— do you only work in Canada or do you work in the States as well?
I work internationally.
Right. So we'll give you the list of the 5,000 fastest growing privately held companies in America. Do you see this list over here? So if you click, these are the fastest growing privately held companies in America. So if you click on any of them, You'll be able to see how much revenue they do, their CEO, their contact information, email, cell phone, whatever. For every single one of these companies, this list came out a few weeks ago and we have every single company. These are the companies that need cybersecurity desperately because they're very, very fast growing. 3 years ago, this company was $500K. Now they're $50 million. You see?
Yep.
So they don't have the infrastructure set up. They need your help. And so we'll tell you who they are, their cell phone, their email, everything about them. And then you go out and reach out to them and build a relationship. But the way that you build a relationship is using the Evvy AI tools to tell you everything about the person. You see?
Yeah.
So when you reach out, it's not just a weird outreach. It's a very, very, very customized outreach, super customized. And so that's how you're gonna close $100,000 deals by doing this super customized stuff. That's the idea.
Yeah. Yeah. It's look good.
Yeah.
Okay.
So I sent you the link. Go click on it, and then if it's something that you want to get started with, just fill out the information and we'll do an onboarding for you. When do you want to do the onboarding? Tomorrow or Friday?
I don't know yet. I'll check the link everything, and yeah, but that's look good.
Amazing. Awesome. Bob, what about you? What are you up to, Bob? You want to unmute yourself? Because you were engaging so much, Bob. I really appreciate that. Feel free to unmute yourself and tell us more about yourself or anybody else that wants to chat. Mindy Stern wrote value. Scott Hanswell wrote value. Jen Nash wrote value. Thank you guys for writing value. If anybody else wants to write value, write value in the chat. Anyone else? Anyone else here? Are we done? Are we done, Ski? Are we still here? I need help on the next engagement. Thank you. I have a mic. I'll reach out on LinkedIn. My mic doesn't work. Okay, cool. Anyway, so with that, I just want to conclude this meeting and say, guys, if you want a demo, just text the word demo to 973-841-8868. Write that number down. That's 973-841-8868. Just text us the word demo. We'll send you a link with the updated demo. Thank you very much for being in my life. Thank you for joining us today.
