I got to deliver 2 sessions this week. First session didn't feel right. What was the problem? Well, in looking back, easy. It was all about me. Look how funny I am. Look how smart I am. Look how much information I could throw your way. Well, it's just too much. You can't get people engaged. It doesn't feel relevant. So the second session changed my mindset. And here's the 4 words. Very easy. 4 words that you can use, which is, what do they need? What does your audience need? What does that other person need? What do they need for it to feel relevant? For it to feel engaged? For them to feel more confident to put these ideas into action? Got a lot more interaction. Was it easy to trim the content when my focus was all about the other person, the audience? What do they need? Try it out. You'll see what a difference that makes. What do they need?
