I Did This for 60 Days And Became a Profitable Trader (COPY ME)

Most people think that success is a destination that you reach, but in reality, it's the byproduct of the person you become during the grind. So if you aren't profitable yet, it's likely your routine. It's not the strategy that's failing you. So in this video, I'm breaking down the exact daily system that I used to become a profitable day trader. That way, if you can commit to copying this step by step for the next 60 days, you won't just be following a plan you'll be building the discipline required to actually win in these markets. Now, first of all, it's important that you understand that trading is not a get-rich-quick thing, and it took me over 3 years to get to the point that I'm at now. But if I had stuck with this same exact routine that we're going over in this video from the very beginning, I would have gotten to the level that I'm at right now much quicker. With that being said, let's get to work. So first of all, it all starts with my morning routine, and how my morning routine goes is I wake up, I pray, I meditate and I read my Bible. Reason being is because God is the number one thing that is in my life, and I need to keep that perspective in mind. I know in this society it's all about grinding, it's all about getting to the money, but when the end of all this happens, money is not the thing that we're thinking about. So it helps put in perspective the things that actually matter. It also helps me get in the right mind frame of not chasing money. Money is simply just the payment for the person that I've become. So it's very important for me that that's how I start my day off. I've literally done that for the past 12 years of my life, and I won't be stopping anytime soon. The next step is you have to be indulging yourself in as much of trading as possible, as much trading content as possible, whether it's courses, whether it's YouTube videos, whether it's talking to your mentors. You have to be getting as much time inside of learning as you can. It's like any other skill. The more time you put into learning it, The faster you'll learn it, the more you'll understand it. So every day I would spend at least 2 hours consuming some type of trading content to help me sharpen my skills, learn more, and just be able to add different tips and tricks to my arsenal that will ultimately just make me a better trader. Now, step number 3, this one is extremely overlooked. I've never heard a single person talk about it, but I think it's one of the most beneficial things that you can do as a trader when you're trying to show up in the best way possible. So when I first come to the charts, I backtest for 10 to 15 minutes before I even I mark up my charts. The reason being is I need to warm up. Same thing with any sport. If you're a basketball player and you have a game, if you go just straight from the locker room to playing basketball in your game, something's not going to go right. Your shot's going to be off. Your body is going to be messed up. Same thing when it comes to trading. I don't know how people can expect to hop right onto the charts and perform at their optimal without putting some work in before and kind of warming up. So I do about 10 or 15 minutes of backtesting before I come onto the charts to live trade. Every single morning. Now, after I do my warm-up and I'm on my charts, I've done my back testing, now I need to refresh my charts. I'm gonna be honest with you guys, most of the time I have like support or resistance zones or trend lines already drawn on my charts from previous days, but every single morning I like to come in and actually redraw every single support and resistance zone and every single trend line. Reason being is I need to be clear and understand and remember for today why I have these zones. Why do I have this support zone here? Why is this trend line here? What am I looking for price to do off this trend line or off this support zone. I need to refresh my charts every single day. That way I know my game plan for the day, and it's based off of not just previous zones that I've had on my chart that I might have forgotten why I put on my chart, but it's based off of I see exactly what's happening today, I see what happened yesterday, and I'm making this plan based off of this support zone that I trust this much because I saw it do this yesterday, or this trend line that I trust this much because I saw it did this 2 days ago. I'm refreshing myself on the storyline that the chart has told me every single morning. That way I can make the best decisions when it comes to my trading on that day. Now, speaking of game plans, step number 5 is that you need to have a specific game plan for every single trade. You've probably heard that you should have a trading plan, but you need to go a step deeper and have an actual trade plan for each individual trade. For example, if you enter a trade right here and let's say price hits up here, you need to have a game plan that says, okay, when price hits here, I'm gonna move my stop loss to break even, or I'm gonna take out partial profits, or I'm gonna sit at my desk and watch to see if I see this, this, and this. You need to have a game plan for everything that will happen inside of your trade. The reason being is because once you enter a trade, you never get smarter. And I don't know you, but I know you. Every single person, once they enter a trade, they get stupider. They make worse mistakes. They get more emotional. They stop thinking logically. They just start thinking based off their emotions or what they see on the chart at that point., but it's important to not just enter the trade, but we need to know why we entered the trade. And we also need to know what we're gonna do at these certain levels before we enter into the trade when we're thinking more logically versus when we're thinking emotionally when we're inside of a trade. So have a game plan for your entire trade. Have a game plan that says, okay, I'm not closing my trade out early. Um, I'm gonna hold it until it hits full take profit, or if it hits TP1 or TP2, I'm gonna take partials out, or I'm gonna trail my stop loss, or having a game plan that says, It's either going to hit my stop loss or it's either going to hit my take profit. I'm not touching it no matter what I see. If I see 3 candles go against me after it almost hit my full take profit, I'm leaving it. That's my game plan. You need to make these game plans, like I mentioned, before you get into the trade. That way it stops you from making emotional, irrational, and stupid decisions once you're in the trade. Now for step 6, it's kind of a branch off of step 5, but it's more so entering the trade and leaving. Because if we have entered the trade, we know why we entered the trade, or you should know why you entered the trade. Then you should also have your game plan for that trade, knowing that if it hits here, I'm doing this. If it hits here, I'm doing this. You should already have your game plan. You should know why you entered the trade. It makes no sense for you to sit there and watch your chart because all of the noise that's happening in between your different TP levels or stop loss levels, it's all noise that's gonna make you want to do something. And as I mentioned, once you're in a trade, you're more impulsive, you're more irrational, and it doesn't make sense to torture yourself by sitting there doing anything because you watching the charts is not going to make it hit TP faster or stop it from hitting stop loss. So a much easier thing that I found that works for me is once I enter a trade and I have my trade plan, I just leave. I set alerts at the different areas where, let's say I have a TP level here, I'd set an alert here that, will notify my phone or send me a notification that's like, okay, it hit this TP level, check to see if you want to take partials or move your stop loss to break even or trade your stop loss into profit, whatever it is. But just having all that set up beforehand, then walking away, go ride a bike, go jump in the pool, go play video games or something like that. We all came into trading to have as much freedom as possible, but yet most people spend 13 hours a day looking at their charts. And even if they're in a trade for 2 hours, you shouldn't be staring at your chart for 2 hours. There's no, there's literally no reason for you to stare at your charts for 2 hours once you have your trade plan already sorted out. So trust me, enter your trade, trust your trade plan, walk away. Trading is a lot more stress-free once you do it that way. Tip number 7 is journaling. People come to me all the time and ask me, what was that thing you did? What was that one thing you did that allowed you to actually become profitable? That, that was like that switch, that switch inside of your head. To allow you to become profitable. It was journaling. 'Cause ultimately trading is all about data. It's all about stats. It's all about, okay, I have a trading strategy that has a 50% win rate with a 3:1 risk reward ratio. If I do this, this, and this, we need to have as much data as possible to be able to make educated decisions and have a good system, a good trading strategy. And the only way we get that is by journaling our trades. If you be honest right now, if you try and think back on a trade you took yesterday, Yeah, you can remember it. What about the trade you took 2 days ago? Yeah, you can remember it. What about a week ago? What about 2 weeks ago? What about a month ago? You don't remember any of that. And that's such a waste because if you don't remember any of it, you can't learn from it. You can't learn that, okay, over the last 6 months of trading, if I just move my stop loss to break even, I would have been able to save $3,000 worth of profits or whatever it is. And the only way we're able to see that data is by journaling that data. So journaling looks like writing down what pair you traded, what time you entered the trade, if it was a buy, if it was a sell, what did you risk on that trade? How much were you planning to make on that trade? What was that risk to reward ratio? Why do you think you won or lost that trade? What strategy did you use in that trade? What day of the week did you take that trade? You need to write all of this down and have all this down because that's all extremely valuable data. For example, there are some people I know who only take buy opportunities. They don't enter any sell opportunities because from their data, Over the past 2 years, they've seen that they have a much higher win rate when they buy. I've also seen some people that don't trade on Wednesdays because they have a much lower win rate on Wednesday. So they cut that out. But the only way these people are able to understand that and know that for themselves is because they were journaling it and they saw 100, 200, 500, 1,000 trades worth of data to be able to critique and make themselves a better trader. So that's why it's very important that you journal your trades.. Now there's many ways you could do it. You can write it down on a piece of paper. Um, there's different platforms and softwares that'll automatically do it for you. I'll leave the link inside the description of this video for the one that I personally use and recommend. But it's very important that you write down all those things that I listed because those are the main things that you're going to want to track where you can see and improve on. Tip number 8, it's going hand in hand with that. You can't just write it down. You need to review it. You need to look over your data consistently. I always say at least once a week, Look over your journal from the past month or 2 months to learn what you could do different. See different patterns. See, okay, I had a much higher win rate trading this strategy, or I had a much higher win rate only trading NQ or only trading YM. Maybe I should cut out trading anything else and only focus on this pair with this strategy. You have to review it. You can't just write it down. Make it a habit to review the journal trades that you actually took and the data that you actually have. Now, tip number 9 is something that I don't hear a lot of people talk about at all, but it's a huge part of trading. You've probably heard 100 million times that trading is 80% psychology and 20% technicals. And trust me, I was just like you when I first started off trading. I would hear the same thing and I would completely ignore it. And I was like, there's no way that that's real. I listen to myself. I'm mentally strong. I don't have any mental problems. But trust me, we all do when it comes to trading. So it's very important that we also note and be very aware of how our psychology is being played with during our trades. Are we the type of person that gets FOMO? Are we the type of person that gets impatient? Are we the type of person who, um, is not a confident trader or is an overly confident trader? We need to keep track of that. That's something that you need to keep track of in your trading to know what type of person you are. Some people are super patient, but they're overly confident. Some people are not confident at all, and that causes them to miss out on trades because they're too scared to take trades. But if you're not keeping track of that and making notice of that to know what type of person you are, what you need to look out for and work towards fixing, you'll never be able to grow from it. Now, tip number 10 is to backtest, backtest, backtest. We mentioned backtesting earlier in this video, but one thing that people don't understand when it comes to backtesting is that it's literally the practice that you need as a trader. Same way a person that only plays basketball when they have a basketball game is going to suck compared to somebody that plays basketball every day for 4 hours a day regardless if they have a game or not. Same thing when it comes to trading. We're not going to be able to trade every day. Sometimes a setup won't happen. Sometimes we'll only have one setup a day that took us an hour to do. And if we're relying on just trading live in the markets to give us that experience and give us that time and give us that, that learning opportunity, we're going to be very much behind someone who backtests for 2, 3 hours a day, getting super used to finding their setups, super used to seeing their entries, seeing their exits, marking off their support or resistance zones, their trend lines, whatever it is. It's extremely important that you backtest. This is not something that you can skip out on. Honestly, back when I first started off trading, I probably went overboard. I used to backtest for like 12 hours a day. I just throw music on and backtest. It used to be really fun for me, but it was pretty bad for my health, I would assume, because every time I closed my eyes, I would see candlesticks. It was, it was pretty bad. But it's extremely important that you do backtest. You don't have to do 12 hours a day, but if you could do an hour, 2 hours a day, you're gonna see a huge improvement in not just your trading, but your confidence in your trading. Then also with your backtesting results, you can actually journal that as well to be able to get even more data for you to use in your live trading. So having went through all of these, you can see becoming a profitable trader is not luck. It's about a repeatable daily system that forces you to do the same things over and over and over again.
