Guys going live, gone live. Monday morning, Perth, Western Australia Live stream. Always some fun coming at you, downloading some consciousness into your ears. Title Today's Live all about finding variety, cultivating discipline, and living with meaning. And how those all intertwine, how those intersect, variety, uncertainty, discipline, focus, meaning and purpose. Intersecting all of those key areas is tying back into the lessons that I've taken from this week. Thanks for joining me guys. In this live, see me sharing some insights from what I've had in the past week of me living life. And if you guys followed my story and the stuff I've been sharing here in Perth, we're super blessed at the moment because over the weekend we had a music festival and I had so many messages from people saying holy crap, you get to go to live music. I'm so jealous because lots of people are still in lockdown. So we're just so fortunate out here to, firstly, A, have such beautiful weather around this time of the year, and B, to be able to go out and just celebrate and experience live music again, it was a real blessing and I made a really special occasion out of it because it was something that, you know, a lot of us here take for granted here in Perth. Like, we don't have lockdowns, there's no really coronavirus out here. So that allowed me to go out and experience life in a more fun and, I guess, adventurous way to which most people probably haven't been experiencing life recently. So I got some insights to share around that. But I'm going to start with the first point, which is variety. And this festival that went down over the weekend for us, you know, was about 35, 40 minutes away from where I live here. And to go out and firstly, experience. That was something that our minds initially don't want to go out and do things that are different. And I read a great quote yesterday, it was that when we're not afraid of the unknown, we're just afraid of letting go of the known. So a lot of the times we hear, oh, you know, it's the fear of the unknown. It's actually not. It's the fear of letting go of what you already know. So our mind is a natural tendency to want to cling to what it already knows. Like, if you're used to doing things a certain way, your mind's gonna really struggle of letting go of that old way to adopt a new way. So that fear of letting go of what's comfortable is often what cuts us off from variety or experiencing newness, freshness. So that first initial observation for me was my mind didn't want to go out and experience a new festival, didn't want to go out and travel and stay in the Airbnb. I just wanted to do what I was. What I normally would do on a weekend. We wanted to experience the known. So that first. That first little awareness to know that your mind is not going to want you to experience different things because then they're going to cling to what's comfortable. So whenever you notice that my invitation and something that I'm now incorporating into my life is to start to lean into new experiences, in fact, starting to invite new experiences into your life, inviting new experiences into your life is going to expand you into areas where you have not been. I've spoken about this before the importance of stepping into new environments. Because within new environments, you start to create new neural networks in the brain. You create new patterns, and you essentially step into the world of the unknown. And the world of the unknown is where all these new distinctions can happen. You get insights, creative ideas, but most importantly, you experience what life is really all about, which is to be in the moment, to experience gratitude for something new that can show up, that will catch you in a state of awe and appreciation and inspiration. So I found myself experiencing that over the weekend as I went out, booked an Airbnb in a different location where went out from my regular home and just got to appreciate a different environment. That's so crucial because we're so caught up in our comfortable, I guess, mundane sometimes or routine regimens where we're getting up, experiencing the same things day in, day out. We get used to seeing the same stuff all the time. So to step out and experience something different allowed me to appreciate and be grateful for what was around me that sometimes I was missing out on seeing because I was stuck in my, my regimen. So embracing the unknown, knowing that in that unknown is where all the magic starts to happen. You really get to experience life to the fullest. And that's what I got to, I guess, embody over the weekend was, wow, this is where it's at. I want to invite more of this in. There was an observation I had from, you know, living in a city like Toronto. Anyone who lives in a big city is. You get that very, that variety or uncertainty daily. Like, if you're living in a city, there's always something new happening. You always have opportunities to meet new people and do new things. But I guess when you go out of a big city and go back into, like, now that I'm back here in Perth, Western Australia, smaller city, you kind of have to seek variety or uncertainty. You have to go out of your way to find it. Or in this case, I'm just realizing you just invited in, I just asked for it. Now I ask my higher self, spirit, God, consciousness, bring me new things, show me new ways of me experiencing life that I can be appreciative for, or show me things that are going to expand me, get me out of my comfort zone, move through me, direct me, asking for guidance. You can call that praying. I call it just like communing with a higher self, asking my spirit guides, whatever you want to call it, ask for life to bring you new experiences that are going to expand you. And this is really powerful stuff because when you Ask for this guidance. And when you just slow your mind down and connect with your body and trust that when this guidance shows up, it's about acting on it, not staying in that comfortable zone that your mind wants to just cling to. Like I said before, you're not afraid of the unknown. You're afraid of letting go of the known. So when the guidance shows up or when an opportunity presents itself, that kind of requires you to expand a little bit, to get a little bit uncomfortable, it's about following that. Because my mind initially didn't want to go to this music festival, I was like, I don't really want to go to music festival on a Saturday. Kind of just want to chill and do my thing. But it was through acting and just saying, you know what, let's go. And, you know, gratitude to my girlfriend because she's. She helps me move or step into this. It brought me into an environment where I got to experience so much gratitude and awe and passion and enthusiasm. And I had a lot of fun. So that's really key. Invite more fun into your life. And even if right now you're struggling and life doesn't seem fun at all and you're stuck inside or you're limited on what you can do, time to get creative, or just ask, what are some ways in which I can have fun and make the best of this situation? That's the first point. Variety. Experiencing variety, Starting to really expand and open yourself up to new ways of doing different things. If you find yourself repeating the same things day in, day out, that shit gets boring. Doesn't matter how beautiful your house is, doesn't matter how beautiful the environment is that you're in. If you're doing the same thing every single day, you'll get bored, you'll start to stagnate, you won't feel very creative, and you start to kind of go through the motions to invite more like, versatility, new experiences in. So then the second point that I want to make on that is discipline, which is something that often would tie in, I guess, complementary to variety. Variety would be something that's like always shifting, always evolving. Discipline is something that kind of gives you a bit more stability in terms of your ability to execute on the things that are going to bring you variety. Now I'll expand on that a little bit because I'm such a big believer in discipline. And discipline wraps around routine, and routine, again, is the opposite of variety. So, mind you, you can still have routines and inject and variety in your routines. But for me, I've noticed having discipline during the week allows me to have more variety on the weekend. Now, that might be the opposite view. Maybe it's having more discipline on the weekend allows you to have more variety during the week, or maybe it's having more discipline in the morning allows you to have more variety during the day, or vice versa. Whatever. Injecting or infusing discipline into your life is essential. This isn't like a luxury. It's essential if you want to evolve and achieve and progress and get shit done. Discipline is super important. So, you know, whenever I coach someone, I always start with vision. Like, what it is that you want to create? What do you want? A lot of the times if someone's in a really bad. Like if someone's in a real low emotional state and they're really struggling, the main thing they want is just to feel good. Now, if someone's already feeling pretty good and they want to achieve or create something, maybe, maybe they want to make more money, maybe they want to grow their business. Whatever it is, always start with the questions. What it is that you want? What's your vision? What do you want to be in a year's time? So once that question's been asked and someone gives me clarity around what they want, the next step is, okay, what's it going to take for you to get there? Who are you going to need to become so that you can achieve that vision? Now, if someone is not feeling very good and they just have they're stuck in a low emotional state of anxiety, worry, fear, depression, whatever it may be, the reason they're like that is because they have poor habits and routines and rituals that are set up that are all tied back to an ill. Inability to have clarity on how to execute execution ties back in with discipline. So discipline comes into play. And once you know what it is that you want and you know who you need to become to achieve what you want, then it's just about doing it. You know, waking up early and just meditating and going for a walk and easing into your day is habits that start to stack themselves internally. They start to build energy inside of you so that you become a different person. So that you know, if you want to jump on Instagram live and get excited and talk to a bunch of people, you can do it because you have the energy. I never used to be able to do this shit, like three, three and a half, four years ago when I was working in a corporate job. Like, I didn't have discipline in place that allowed me to have the, the Overflow of energy to want to just share this or even just to have the courage to get on here. I never used to be able to do this. It was through the discipline of me. I've been doing these lives for the past six months now. Every single Monday I get on here and do these lives. I never used to have the courage to do this, but it was through discipline by me saying, hey, you know what? I want to get better at sharing content in more of a live setting because it gets me in the flow. To do that, I need to have the discipline to show up and do it and implement and be that person. Now this can apply for anything. If you want to get better at anything, if you want to get better at life, you need to have the discipline to be able to execute on the things you know you need to do. So this discipline is absolutely essential. It's where the freedom is unlocked. The discipline to execute on new habits is really back to the mind going to cling. The mind's going to cling to what it doesn't, doesn't want to let go of. So if you're trying to evolve into something new, there's an element of discipline for you to show up consistently. Now what happens when you fulfill on this discipline is you start to get a level of leverage over yourself, of your mind. That's, that's really what it is. Yet leverage over your mind and that leverage brings confidence and it brings internal freedom, internal freedom from the old parts of you that are just trying to keep you stuck. These old parts of you, these old patterns in your mind that are just trying to keep you safe, they're trying to keep you stagnant. So discipline is really the gateway attribute. Gateway attribute. If you want to cultivate any attribute that's going to help you evolve and level up faster in life, make it discipline. Firstly, choose the thing you want to get disciplined at, might be many new things. Choose what you want to get better at and cultivate the discipline to execute on that. Since you can tie back into my last point I'm gonna make, and I'll leave you guys to it, it's about living meaningfully, living a meaningful life. Because once you have variety, once you've developed some discipline, then it's about choosing how to live a life that's full of meaning, that's full of purpose and purpose. I feel it distilled down into two things. Following your purpose and living purposefully. Now living purposefully is this day to day decisions, the quality of the energy that you bring to Each little thing. Now, if you're living a disciplined life and you're living a life of fun and variety, but you're just kind of like forcing yourself through it and you're not really enjoying the process, there's no real meaning infused in what you're doing. So regardless of what you're doing for work, whatever you're doing day to day, can you bring some meaning and purpose into it? Can you bring some passion into what you do? And these are all emotional states that must be cultivated from within. Meaning is cultivated from within. So how can you make each interaction, each task, each little activity so meaningful and so sacred? For that to happen, you must be present, you must be fully there. Your mind can't be elsewhere thinking about the future. So meaning is really found in your ability to slow down, to do less.
Less is more.
That's really where it's at to appreciate each little moment. So when you can do that, this, this, this, this combination of uncertainty, variety, discipline and fun and meaning is to me what I feel like I've been able to implement over the last week when it comes to the experiences that I've had and the memories that I've created. And I really feel like the quality of our life is really built up upon how many meaningful memories we can incorporate and cherish. When you get to the end of your time on Earth, it's going to be the memories that you get to, you get to reflect on, not the stuff that's in your bank account, not the things that you own. So make it, make it a habit to create memories that are going to infuse meaning into your life. However that's going to look, because everyone's going to be different. What I love might be, is going to be different to what you love, but you must make time for it. You must make time to live and enjoy life. So that's been my lesson for this week. Enjoy life, have fun, and don't take it too seriously because we got blessed out here. We got, we got, we got festivals to go. I'm so appreciative of that. So I wanted to make sure I got out and enjoyed it. So I want to thank you guys for participating, joining and sharing. So it's an honor jumping on here. If anyone got any insights from what I've shared today, I encourage you, I invite you to send me a DM and just tell me what insights you got from this live conversation. Whether you're on here live or you've watched this. Afterwards, send me a direct message. What insights you got and what actions you're going to take on those insights. Because actions where it's at consuming this content, listening to what I'm saying without actually doing anything with it is just stored potential. It's just stored energy. I really want to transfer that energy from knowledge into doing so that it creates wisdom in your life. That's where it's at, guys. You guys are amazing. Killing it. Have a great week. We'll talk to you soon. Take care. Hey, there we have it, guys.
