Hey, what's going on, my friend? It's Jordan Kanlish here. Thank you so much for joining me on the podcast. Really looking forward to sharing today's episode with you. Today I'm going to be sharing a solo episode. Now, these solo episodes will consist of either an Instagram Live that I've created or a separate video that I pulled from somewhere else that I really wanted to share on the podcast so you could have the audio experience. Now, whenever I do these solo episodes, particularly the Instagram Lives, they're really just a stream of consciousness. I try not to plan them too much. I just allow whatever needs to come through me in that moment to come through. And usually the content is just what is needed for the person on the other side. And I trust that if you're here about to receive this, there's something here for you. So I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you. My one request is if you did get some value from this solo episode, please ensure that you subscribe if you haven't already so that I can keep you posted when more of these come out and share it with a friend as well if you got something useful from, from this information. So, again, I appreciate you so much. Thank you for being here. Thank you for taking in this. This knowledge. It says so much about you to be on this journey and I really hope you get something from today's episode. So enjoy.
Yes, he's back. Let's go. Instagram Live. What's up? Good to be here. Tuning back in. I. I deleted Instagram for now almost two weeks, and I just downloaded the app back on my phone because I was like, I just wanted to come on here and express myself and just share some updates with you guys to let you know what's been going on in my life and share some lessons with you. Thanks for joining me. Good to be here with you guys. What's up? I hope you're well. Happy Friday, wherever you are in the world. I'm dialing in from Portugal. I'm back in Portugal on the Algarve here. It's beautiful and I'm grateful to be back in full health. I was really sick last week. It was brutal. I got knocked down hard. I think it was some big lessons I got from that, which is traveling is not a recovery day. I used to think traveling, you could just relax and it's recharging, but it's not. Traveling is really taxing on your physical, mental and emotional body. And I learned the lesson the hard way. I got knocked down sick For a week from just traveling and catching up and all the adventures I've been on. But I deleted Instagram throughout all of that process for like 10 days. Had Instagram deleted. And I wanted to really take some space to clarify myself. And there's some things I want to share and talk to you guys today about what I've learned during this period, this time off social media. If you guys, like, have been following me for a while, you know, like, I've been really consistent with making content for the last kind of two years. This is the longest block or longest break I've had from creating. And it's been necessary. It's been necessary to just go inward. And what I find with social media and the world right now is there's so many inputs, a lot of information just coming at us all the time. You don't even realize. Yes, the man. Gene, Good to have you here, brother. So many inputs coming at us all the time. Yeah, like, so much mental overload, we sometimes don't even realize it. But the. The filling of the mind with information, it clutters us from having clarity, from having, like, an understanding of what our truth is. And actually it clutters us or disconnects us from having any kind of unique thoughts. Have you rigged. If you guys realize that, like, social media, you can fall into the trap of comparison, you can fall into the trap of just like constantly filling your mind with knowledge, sometimes unnecessarily. I wanted to break from that and it coincided with me getting sick. So it was like a forced slowdown at the same time. Right. So I cut the inputs. No social media, no podcasts, no tv, nothing. And I was just spending time with myself. And what comes through during that time is really interesting because what I notice is you go through a period of like, looking for distractions somewhere else. You delete Instagram, you end up being on YouTube, you delete YouTube, you end up being on TikTok. So in my opinion, you have to actually actively delete a lot of the things that you use or remove the things that you use as, like, a form of distraction. It's the only way you're going to get deep, deep, deep, unique thoughts that are unique to you. You have to remove all the inputs. So I did that. And then what actually happened was after about day three or day four of being off social media, my mind just started opening up with, like, all these ideas, all these things that I wanted to do, places I wanted to go, shifts that I wanted to make in my life, people that I needed to contact and to have that level of clarity is so powerful. Because what I've. The way I've been living recently is I've been traveling a lot, going to lots of different locations, taking in lots of different new experiences. And maybe you're doing that with. With consuming information or knowledge. And if you're taking in a lot, then to be able to assimilate, assimilate that information, dissect it, and really tune into what you want to take away or action in your own life. You have to have a period of time in silence. Ideally every day, you want to have a period of time in uninterrupted silence. And out of all the people that I coach, it still baffles me how little people give that to themselves. And if you're one of those people, this is for you. This is your reminder that you literally must create time in your day, in your week, in your life to just be in uninterrupted silence. No inputs. And I want to speak to something really important today. I've. I've titled it like Noise Pollution. You know how when you're near a busy road and the traffic's going past and it's creating all this noise and it's a little bit distracting, that's almost what social media is. That's almost what, like our current information A's is. It's literally noise pollution. It's distracting you. And for you guys who are on here, I. I'm assuming you're probably similar to me. We're into the world of personal development, Right. Where we're on the path of trying to better ourselves, learn the right information. Yeah, like trying to, like, read books, listen to podcasts, get the right information in, but if you're not careful, and this is a very subtle thing that I'm aware of in my own life, is personal development can become an addiction. It can become this thing that you use to distract yourself without even you realizing, because you're not okay just being in silence. You're not okay just sitting with yourself and just listen to yourself for a moment. We sometimes fall into the trap of trying to unconsciously fill a void through just noise. Podcasts, when you go for a walk, where was always going to put a podcast on. Jordan James.
Yes, brother.
Good to have you here. And I caught myself in this trap recently. Right. Like, I'm always going to be reading something, always going to be learning something. Why I don't just, like, be in silence. Next time you go for a walk, do it in silence. Next time you're prepping your coffee in the morning. Do it in silence.
Big ups to.
Big ups to the queen Amanda up there. Yes, welcome joining the life. Actually live physically live in today's conversation bank. I love it. So the silence is so important. Don't. Don't downplay the significance of just cutting all the noise out. And you may. I'm going to suggest for the people who are very into personal development, maybe it's become an addiction for you, and maybe what you need right now is for you to actually just sit and listen to yourself, your own body. Listen to the infinite reservoir of information that's coming through you at all times. If you listen deeply enough, you may actually subtly tune into. Hmm. My kidney is feeling a bit drained today. I need to actually fill up some more water. I need to have a bit more salt in my water. I need to reduce my caffeine intake. My kidneys are drained. If you tune in enough, you can hear your body communicate to you. You don't get that in a book or a podcast. If you tune in enough, you might realize, hey, my nervous system's a little bit exhausted today. Maybe I need to ease up on the workout and go for a nice long walk or spend some more time lying down. Your nervous system will tell that to you if you listen to it. You get what I'm trying to say, guys? It's like we're in a constant, like, loop of looking outwards for the answers, looking externally for the answer in the book, in the podcast, in the coach, in the course. No, no, no. Your answer is in here. Deeply listening to. What is it that you need today? It's so simple, yet this world is convincing us that life is complicated because of the infinite fucking knowledge. This, the vast knowledge that's out there. Go into your own knowledge, which is in your body, deep wisdom in your body. It's there, available. So that's my little commitment to myself. The next little bit is less inputs, listening to myself so I can bring some fresh perspectives onto this Instagram. When I return to making content, I want to bring some fresh perspectives because it's so quickly to. It's so quickly. We go on here and try and create content, but we end up just sounding like everyone else. Every coach starts to sound the same because we're reading the same books and.
Listening to the same podcast.
You get what I mean, guys? The only way we can start to channel some uniqueness is to block out the distractions. Okay? And words. Words are really powerful. And what actually happens is when we're in an echo chamber, we all just start using the same words and start sounding the same. A lot of coaches are like that. We're just saying the same words, just packaged a little differently. So my, my focus or intention for 2023, as I start to bring more content to you guys, is like, let's, let's, let's hear a unique perspective. I'll take in a lot of information that I'll sit with it and listen to. Like, what is my take on that? What is my perspective not just a regurgitation of someone else's. So that's a big focus for me. And I kind of just mapped out over the last couple of days with my beautiful girlfriend here, the content strategy for my 2023. And I'm gonna be rolling on that, rolling that out in the next, next week up. It's gonna happen. I'm gonna be rebranding my podcast and we really focusing on more podcasts. I'm gonna put out some more longer form content and I want to share more of my perspective with you guys because at the end of the day is like creativity or sharing your perspective is very nourishing. It's very nourishing to your soul. For those who are creative, creatives out there, just sharing this, I'm on here today because this, this just feels good to my heart and my soul to be speaking something. Just speaking what? Whatever's coming through me. It just feels good. And I highly invite you to get into this habit as well. Whatever your form of expression is, we all have a form. You know, expression is medicine. Like just expressing yourself daily. It feels good. So think about, like, what is your way? How do you express yourself? Maybe it's through dancing or speaking or creating or drawing or painting or photography. Whatever it is, I invite you to express every single day. And if you can share it with the world, even better, because someone might benefit from your truth. Coming out recently. Guys, if you were following me, last month I had my parents over here. My family came out and spent some time with me in Europe, and it was a really magical period. And you know, my parents who live in Australia, obviously, so it was a big trip for them to come out here. And the reason how that happened was, you know, one of my good friends, Mum's, passed away a couple of months ago. And when I found out about that news, I called my. Called my mom up and I was like, mom, you know, I just want to tell you that I want to create more experiences with you. I want to create more memories with you. While you're still alive here on Earth. And I want to, you know, go on an adventure together. And from that conversation, my mom and dad ended up booking a trip to come out to Portugal. I had three weeks with them. And every time that I hang out with my family, it is a beautiful opportunity to get a reflection as to where I'm at in my. My own inner process. Like your parents are reflecting you to you, the clearest mirrors of how much work you're doing on yourself. And what I've found is the more you expand your soul, the more you unlock yourself and open up your capacity for life, the more you're able to give that to someone else, especially your family. And in my opinion, your family should be the first place you go to share the breakthroughs that you're having. And it's the first place that you go to support the expansion of another human soul. Because it's your family that has supported you in this.
In this world.
They're the ones that gifted you life. So my kind of like sphere goes work on myself, expand my soul. How can I give that back to my family? And then how can I give that back to my friends? Then how can I give that back to my larger community? So I want you to think about that as well. It's like as you're working on yourself and expanding your own, your own life, how can you then go to your family and support them? What, who do you need to call up? Is your mom you need to have a conversation with? Is your dad, is it a brother or sister who needs you today in your family? And I got to spend three weeks my family and just like create magical moments and memories with them. And the only way that I could have done that is if I had cleared and worked on myself enough to just be there as a space without all the conditioning and all those parts patterns. And it was, it was magical. It was amazing. And I really feel like that's what life's about, in my opinion, just creating amazing experiences with the people that you love. And I personally value family and friends. Family and friends is fucking everything to me. And I want to create the best moments with them. So you get to think about that. Like when you, when you're doing, working on yourself and you're trying to better yourself and become a better human, who else are you doing it for? You're not just doing it for you, for you as the first person, but then who do you get to share that with? Family and friends should be the next, the next point of contact and then after you, after you have an opportunity to do it, create it, call them up. Let's go on a trip. We've got to hang out this weekend. I'm going to create something special. So I'm really committed to that. And that's what I truly believe with.
This work is all about.
Help yourself so you can help other people. Guys, I'm back, back on social media. I'm gonna create some content. More is gonna come. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube podcast. That's where you can find me. Happy Friday. Thanks for joining me. Thanks for being a part of this little, this, this space that we get to create and share. And I'm just sending you lots of love, lots of love for the weekend ahead. And I'll be on here again real soon. Thanks, guys.
Peace.
Have a good one.
There we have it, my friend. Thank you so much for tuning into today's episode. One last thing before you take off, I want to tell you a little bit about the path, which is a four month men's program that I facilitate. Enrollments are currently open. And if you're a man listening to this or you know, a man that may feel the call to step into a men's program and men's group, then this is the opportunity for him. And if you're tuning into my content, if you're here, you're listening to this, there's some sort of resonance through what I'm putting out. There's something that's calling you to step into this work. And I have decided that I wanted.
To, you know, create opportunities for men.
To come together to attract the right kinds of men who are willing to support each other in this journey and what the PATH is. It's a four month men's program where, where we go into each of the domains, all of the domains of a man's life, his relationships, his finances, his spirituality, his health, his fitness, all the areas to help him achieve full potency.
And we do this through a very specific, measurable, tracked program where we have structure and we have accountability and we have guidance.
And essentially we meet every week, we come together, we measurably track progress in each of these areas.
And we, we have safe spaces where.
We can open up around other men to release the things we've been holding onto, to release the blockages that are.
Holding us back from being true, authentic.
Grounded warriors in this earth.
And if you're here, you know the.
Urgency, you know the need for this kind of work, especially for us men to step into this new level of leadership. So I just wanted to let you know that we're now taking enrollments for the next round. It's something that, you know, I really feel that this is my heart and soul's calling to bring this work to fellow men, to fellow brothers like yourself. So if you head on over to the pathbrotherhood.com you'll be able to learn more information about the path, what it's about, and how to apply. And if there's something in your soul that's resonating with what I'm sharing, then please follow that. Follow that calling. Because on the other side of it is a whole new realm of possibility, power, and confidence that will just start to remit from you. It will emanate out of you. You deserve it, my friend. You fucking deserve it. Thank you for being here. I appreciate you. And hopefully we'll see you on the inside. Take care.
