Hey, what's going on, my friend? It's Jordan Kanlish here. Thank you so much for joining me on the podcast. Really looking forward to sharing today's episode with you. Today I'm going to be sharing a solo episode. Now, these solo episodes will consist of either an Instagram Live that I've created or a separate video that I pulled from somewhere else that I really wanted to share on the podcast so you could have the audio experience. Now, whenever I do these solo episodes, particularly the Instagram Lives, they're really just a stream of consciousness. I try not to plan them too much. I just allow whatever needs to come through me in that moment to come through. And usually the content is just what is needed for the person on the other side. And I trust that if you're here about to receive this, there's something here for you. So I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you. My one request is if you did get some value from this solo episode, please ensure that you subscribe if you haven't already so that I can keep you posted when more of these come out and share it with a friend as well if you got something useful from, from this information. So again, I appreciate you so much. Thank you for being here. Thank you for taking in this, this knowledge. It says so much about you to be on this journey and I really hope you get something from today's episode. So enjoy.
Hello my friend. Thank you for being here. Super pumped to be sharing some recent insights with you on today's live. I've themed it, titled it the Way of the Grounded Warrior. And as usual, as per usual, I'm exploring, going on adventures out here in Tulum, learning more things about myself and I want to come on here and share what I've been learning with you guys and just drop in what's going on. Welcome, welcome. Thanks for joining me guys. Happy Thursday. It's a beautiful sunny day here in Tulum and I wanted to come on and just is my nature, my nature is to learn and to share. So whenever I do these lives, I just come on with the intention of sharing what, what I've been understanding recently about life, about myself. And the intention is to hopefully share some information that might unlock a deeper level of insight, clarity of understanding about yourself, your path, your purpose, why you're here on earth. So thank you, thank you for being here with me today. Recently, as you may have seen on my stories and just like the way I'm living right now, I'm exploring different realms, different realms of getting out of the comfor its own. And for me physic physically, the physical body is an outlet into deeper levels of self expression. So my current training regime is involved learning from a samurai. I'm training with an actual trained samurai out here in Tulum, doing sessions with him. I'm doing pilates, I'm doing Muay Thai training, I'm doing yoga and I'm doing strength training. And what I found is to step onto the path of warriorhood. And whether you're a man or a female, the warriorhood is the path of confronting your fear. In my opinion, it's the path of taking action despite your fear. And we all must walk that path to some degree. I mean, if you want to have impact in this world and you must confront your fears and the true warrior is the one who's willing to face his fear, is willing to identify, okay, this is an area that I'm weak at and I'm going to go in this path. And through the training regimen that I've been on recently, it started to show to me that everything in life is mirroring each other. And when you start to expand yourself in different ways, you realize that when you expand in one direction and also expand you in another direction. And let me give you an example. In the samurai training that I'm doing, it's all about learning how to be precise. It's learning how to operate from a state of no mind. And what I've realized from that state, when you learn how to activate or discover this zero point frequency and that what I mean by the zero point frequency is that we're all operating from this while body is trying to operate from this state of balance, harmony, zero. And what samurais do is they move from that place. They're moving not from the mind but from a lower, deeper, more intimate connection with spirit or life force that is, that is operating from a, from a zero point. And this zero point is where we access our power. All power comes from this place. Right? So then when you go into your business or you go into another training protocol, you go into your relationship, all of your power, all of your potency is coming from how intimately you're connected with that point of zero within yourself. And what's, what's naturally trying to happen within all of us. We're trying to come back to zero. We're trying to recalibrate to zero. The body is always trying to do that. And what I've discovered within myself is that it's the mind, my mind's judgments. My, my mind's critiques, my mind's labeling as to why I'm not like. The critiques as to why I'm getting in my own way, or the frustration of, like, why am I. Why am I not progressing? But the progress is always happening. What's going on, Youngji Ksa. Yes, brother. The. And I'm sure you can relate to this as well if you tune into my content. The. The judgment that we place on ourselves around the amount of progress that we're making in life is. Is actually what gets in the way of us realizing we are actually always making progress. Progress is always happening. The body is constantly trying to recalibrate the God, nature. Life is always moving us in the direction of expansion, right? So no matter when you feel like you're having an off day, when you're feeling shit, and this has happened to me the last few weeks, I just feel like I'm going backwards. I'm feeling like, hey, I'm not. I'm falling into some old patterns. What's going on here? That's actually the sign that you're having a big breakthrough. The sign you're having a breakthrough is when the things you thought you overcome start to resurface. Anyone experience that? When you start to notice some anxiety creeping back in or you start to notice yourself falling back into, you know, habits that don't serve you, when that starts to creep in, it's usually a sign that you're stretching. That you're stretching yourself, you're getting uncomfortable. It's a beautiful thing. So it's noticing the ways in which you critique or judge yourself during those times. And I know for me, it's. It comes back to just being really hard on myself. I catch myself just, like, getting angry when I fall back into these patterns. But the practice being, can you let go? Can you let go of those critiques and the judgments and realize that love, compassion that's operating in the background is always trying to emerge. It's always trying to come through, and it just shows up a little bit differently. What blocks it from emerging is this, like, layer of resistance that we place in between the compassion and the love and the acceptance and what we're actually feeling, what we're actually experiencing, you get that? Does that make sense? So dissolving that middle layer, which could be the judgment, could be the doubt, the critiques, the frustration, the irritation, and realizing that we're exactly where we need to be. We're still progressing, we're still evolving, we're still expanding, even when we don't think so, and having self, compassion, kindness, grace, nurturance is the background frequency that's always trying to emanate. And it's such a beautiful reminder for me that's been happening recently, which is love shows up as acceptance. Love shows up as this, this feeling of grace, this feeling of, hey, you don't need to be angry or frustrated about this. This is actually what you're meant to experience right now. So ultimately, this God is always bringing acceptance to everything that's happening to you. So it can be challenging in the heat of the moment to remember that though, right when we're in the heat of the moment, we want to jump back into an old habit and just realizing that, hey, you know, what I'm experiencing right now is, okay, I don't need to run from this. I don't need to resist this. Maybe I just need to sit with this. Maybe I just need to allow, allow this. So the thing that makes the allowing hard, right? Because you know, you know, sometimes it's really hard to do that, to just sit with something, to sit with discomfort or allow discomfort. The thing that makes it hard is when we start to distract or run from it through the constant stimulation that's available to us. This is what I find to be difficult for me if I get into the trap of overstimulating, meaning the mind becomes very active. It becomes difficult or harder to just be at peace with whatever the emotional experience is that I'm having. The more you can just practice, like I keep speaking about it online, just grounding the energy, bringing, bringing your, your attention down into the body and stay grounded in these lower areas of the body. The more you're able to let go and surrender to what's trying to move through. And then what happens on its own, the body, your nervous system start to recalibrate. Recalibration often happens when you just stop what you're doing and just, just, just, just be. There's, you don't. There's no fancy meditation or breath work technique to it. You just got to stop, just stop what you're doing and just allow and, and imagine like a softening. Back to the samurai, what I've been learning from the sensei is that oftentimes like I'm trying to force or I'm trying to throw the sword really hard, but it's actually an inner softening, the softening of my grip, the softening of my hands is what allowed the sword to create so much more power. So in life, it's the same thing. It's this letting Go of the grip. I try to grip, like, gripping life, like I need to get it my way. Just. You just soften the sword a little bit. Soften the grip on. On your emotions, in your mind and the control. And then all of a sudden, things start to flow. This natural emanation starts to come back. The clarity of, like, what needs to be said or done starts to come through. It all comes through in these. In the subtlety. Yeah, the subtlety is where it's at. The. The feminine nature for so much of us is where we have so much to learn from, because it's one. It's from understanding and connecting with this feminine nature, which is grace, ease, subtlety, nurturance, receptivity. That is all around us. And I look at the trees always I'm learning from the trees that are around. Like, look. Look how they just pull in energy in life. Yet they're so strong, stable, and grounded. The masculine qualities, right. So we learn. So many of us are out of balance, me included. Sometimes we go out of balance from this feminine quality. Right. So the relationship with feeling and sensing and tuning in becomes the number one thing to strengthen. Because once you strengthen that, you become more powerful in your expression, you become more powerful in the quality of your actions, the deeper you can feel and sense into that. So it's the depth of the experience which then creates the width of the experience because you're, You're. Your frequency emanates out further. So it can be challenging sometimes if we're conditioned to be in a rush. You know, it's like, I don't know if you guys noticed this as well, but sometimes the conditioning of what I've been overcoming in my path and my journey after going through the corporate world and the traditional way, you know, like hustle, hustle, like being busy all the time. Busyness is productivity. But what that is conditioning in me is like not being able to slow down and actually tune into this. The depth of experience around. What is it that needs to be or is wanting to be expressed from me today, you can only tune into that when you go slow. When you go slow. So for me, it's more about precision. Sensei again and samurai shared with me a diagram which is samurais operate from zero, and they go from zero to 100 really quick and then back to zero. So then how does that show up in life when you have something to do, something to say, when you're seeing. Sitting at a place of slowness and calmness and you're not in a rush to get to that thing. And when it's time to act, the action comes from this place of clear, directed, focused precision. And that's what we want to bring into all of our work and all of our relationships. It's just like preciseness, knowing the right thing to say and when the right thing to do and when the right thing to create and express, instead of being in a rush to try and get the thing out, get the thing done, to get to the next thing. So like, slowing down for me is always the outlet to more power. So however that shows up in your life, how it looks to me at the moment, slowing down is, is having breaks, having moments throughout the day where you just stop, you just slow down and just bring, like I said, your attention to your breath, your attention back into the body and start to notice what happens when you're on social media, where you're on the laptop, how quickly and attention gets pulled back into the head and you start to lose yourself in the. In the stimulation, you lose yourself in the doing. So it's becoming challenging for us operating in this world where there's new social platforms, threads coming out and all these things, like trying to pull our attention away in different directions. But if you can just keep your center always and stay grounded and clear always, you'll know what the. When the right thing is to do. You'll know what the next step is in your journey. And you don't need to go searching for it and trying to chase it and grab a hold of it. It's emerging out of you always. The next thing is just emerging and coming out. So it's been a big focus or intention for me is just like, loosen the grip on life, loosen the need to control the expression of life and how it's moving through us. And I'm hosting a retreat in a few weeks out in Ontario. So I'm heading back to, to Canada in a couple of weeks. And I've really been sitting with the opportunity that I get to bring to imparting this wisdom onto the men who are coming on this retreat. So it's a men's only retreat and we're going to be doing a bunch of practices and rituals and processes and workshops around what it means to slow down, how to really recalibrate the nervous system in such a way where you develop sensitivity. For me, practices like qigong, for me, things that have allowed the subtlety of this energetic flow to come out is what brings clarity of purpose. You know, sometimes for a lot of the guys that I work with, purpose is the Thing that they really want. It's going to be two hours north of Toronto, Kristen, in a place called Wilberforce in Ontario. So clarity of purpose comes out of clarity of knowing who it is that you are on a deep, deep, subtle level. And the deeper you go into that. Who we are. Who we are is just a unity of expression, which is the same intelligence that moves and expresses through nature is trying to move and express through us. And when we can let go of our mind, trying to dictate or control where that expression is moving, then we get pulled. Instead of being pushed, we get pulled through life. So the retreat that I'm hosting is going to be all about that. How do we surrender into the pool, right? How do we just, like, just let go of the grip? Just trust that, hey, life is moving in me in this direction, and this is what it feels like to be moved. So for me, the ingredients are nature going slow, really tuning into what's. What's authentic and alive inside of me. And that's when you get the clarity of purpose. So I'm super pumped for this retreat. If you're a man watching this and you want to learn more about the retreat, just send me a dm. I've got a couple of spots remaining, or you can click the link in my bio. So the retreat is called the Grounded Warrior, right? And like I've said, the path of the warriors, we're all on this path. And I feel like there's the stages to this journey. Now when you're young, like, you know, if you're young like me, and you have this. This natural feeling to want to go out and create and impact the world, we go through a warrior's path, where a warrior is action. And having control of where you channel that action, channel that energy, is really a sign of an evolved warrior, because action without focus, without clarity is just. You just start to deplete yourself very quickly. So controlled, focused action is what we wanted to create. And this is. This is where this warrior path comes in, is knowing what is the impact that I want to have and then what is the. The action, the daily action that I get to take is going to pull me deeper into that path. So I wrote a few. A few things down here that has been particularly important for me as I start to unravel and unlock more of this warrior energy inside of me. And I've shared already, but stepping into the feminine practices being super important, right? The masculine practices, you could say, are going out and taking focused action, but the feminine practices, which is to tune in, tune in, really discern what is for me and what is not for me. And underneath all of that is two decisions, mainly two things that you get to decide on every single day. And I showed it on my. My story yesterday, which is love or fear? Without going slow, without tuning in, without noticing and seeing more. Sometimes we can be acting upon fear if there's a pattern that's running in the background that's designed to protect you from feeling some sort of emotional experience that you've been avoiding for your whole life. And that pattern will pull you down a path that keeps you stuck in a loop. And this loop just replays itself out because the loop is built upon a pattern that's protecting you from feeling fear, some derivative of fear, shame, anxiety, abandonment, you know, guilt, whatever the fear is. So the more we can start to notice these patterns and loops that are showing up in our life, the more you can slow down and tune into and decide, I'm going to love, that I'm going to act from love. Because on the surface layer, all these patterns show up as avoidant behaviors, distracting ourselves through things that aren't for us, things that aren't serving us. And I really invite everyone. Before you make any decision, ask why. Why am I making this decision? Why am I picking up the phone today? Why am I eating that piece of food? Is it coming from love or fear? If the decision comes from fear, and it's a form of escape, avoiding or chasing or grabbing onto something, it perpetuates the loop that's cutting us off from the new realm of possibility that's available when we just choose love. So this can be difficult if we're not noticing or slowing down enough to notice all of these patterns that are running in the background. So that's why it's important to just remind yourself. I remind myself every single day. If I ever catch myself, like, rushing to the next moment, just stop. Just slow down. Just like, whoa, like, what future moment am I trying to get to that's better than now? And if we're in a rush to get to the next moment, then what ends up happening is we start to overlook what's trying to be seen. Does that make sense, guys? Yeah, I'm going. I know I'm talking a lot. I guess that's the point of these lives, right? Come on here and talk a lot. But is this resonating? Do you get what I'm saying? Our process is. Is. Is all about just seeing more, slowing down to see more, and dissolving all of the patterns or habits that are rooted in fear. Because once we're able to see it, we can go, oh no shit. I'm actually afraid of just sitting with this anxiety that I'm trying to run from. And the minute you see it, you can, you can accept it and you can love it. And then it dissolves. There's nothing fancy, there's no like fancy tactic to do that. It's just, just honestly facing off with yourself and accepting and loving all of the things you're afraid of. That, that, that's it. So when the fear dissolves and this pattern just falls away with it, what it's replaced by is it a new frequency of information that is now full of possibility. This is why Joe Dispenser talks about this. Because he says until we break these programs that are running in the background, our future becomes very predictable because we're just operating in loops. We just attract the same things because we're making the same fear based decision. And then all of a sudden we're just going to track the same kinds of circumstance until we dissolve these fear based loops. MG5199. Any tips to improve my meditation game? Man, I would remove the, the language. That's a game. There's no win or lose in meditation. I used to say life was a game. But then that means there's a winner and a loser. What if meditation was like a dance? You don't dance to get to the end. There's no race. You just meditate because it feels good. It's just, it's just, it's a part of your natural nature. Meditation for me has changed because it's not something that I need to do, it's something that I am. Like look at an animal or a tree or any part of nature. They're not going to meditate. They are meditating. We're the exact same. It, Meditation doesn't have to be a thing you put on your to do list. It's something you can just become. When you realize that we're just, we're emanating out from a place of meditation always. So when, when, when it becomes a task or something that has to get done, it becomes like, oh fuck, I gotta meditate. Like it's the thing you have to do. Something in the future that I have to do, I have to meditate so I can get to this place of more peace and clarity. They're like, see how it's future focused. It then becomes like another to do list item that's defeating the purpose of the thing. So there's an unraveling or a rewiring of what meditation actually gets to mean for you. If you think it's a game, like, I wouldn't treat it as a game. Khaled has been practicing TM for 8 years and has been saying, amazing, bro. Amazing. What you start to realize is like you can always be practicing, practicing meditation. Meditation doesn't even need to be a practice. It can become a state of being. And the state of being arises when you're no longer looking to something in the future to bring you salvation or peace. Can you meditate with the fact that when you feel tired, that's okay. I don't have to meditate to get rid of feeling tired. I can just be tired. And that's my meditation. There's just this little subtle shift because I've caught it in myself, right? You know, I gotta meditate to feel better, to let go of this thing. I got to meditate. No, like, just. Just be. Can you just reside or abide in this place of. Whatever I'm experiencing right now is okay. I can accept it. That's. And that's okay. And that is my meditation. And it may. Then that may show up as a practice where you sit down somewhere. Like you could sit down anywhere. And just like my meditation is the walk, my meditation is sit down. Look at this tree. It doesn't even have to be closing your eyes. Thanks, Imogen. Glad that resonated, brother. Any other questions, guys? I've been chatting for a little bit now, but if you've got some questions, fire them at me before. Before I shoot off. And just want to let you guys know, I'm going to be hosting a free three day brotherhood community circle. So for the men on here, I'm going to be hosting a free three day get together online for us brothers to come together and just go deeper into this work. So stay tuned. I'm going to be sharing more on my social media about that soon. Mj, how can one become more patient with the process and trust the path? What a beautiful question. That is such a good question, mj. And patience is the thing, right? One of my favorite quotes from A Course in Miracles. Infinite patience produces immediate results. So I would look at where is the impatience coming from? Where are you in a rush to get to? What are you in a rush to get? What do you think that thing is going to give you that you can't access right now? You get to sit with that. We get to be with that. What is that thing that I've convinced myself that in the future that is going to unlock more of myself. And when you can dissolve that illusion and realize that the only place and time you can unlock all of yourself is right now, all of a sudden you realize there's nowhere to get to and there's nothing to do. And then realizing this, you can go anywhere and do anything. Hope that resonated. George, can you talk about being hard on yourself and how to unloop? Yeah, man. This is a big one for a lot of us high achieving men, right? The pressure we put on ourselves. And this is where that feminine quality comes in. The divine mother, the nurturing nature that is in the background. It was back to what I shared at the start of this call, man, which is the. In there's a. There's a middle layer of resistance. A layer of resistance that we put on top of the things that we're experiencing that block us from receiving that feminine nurturance, which is acceptance, grace, love, ease, lightness, joy. So noticing the times where you're not feeling your best and practicing bringing in, hey, I'm not feeling my best right now, but maybe this is the thing that I need to experience to progress and evolve. And that's okay. And that's okay. Like, it's really just interrupting the pattern or the first layer of response, which shows up as a critiquing and judgment. You're saying, hey, you know what? It's okay. I'm feeling tired today. And that's okay. I'm gonna love that. And it's just more noticing more, seeing when those patterns show up, Jordan, and noticing what they're connected to, what behaviors are they connected to? When you're hard on yourself, what happens? Do you work more? Do you go on social media more? Do you punish yourself? Interrupt that. Go, you know what? I'm gonna do the opposite. Instead of working more because I think I'm not doing enough. I'm actually gonna stop and do the opposite and just. I just be and explore what's underneath here. When I just. When I just be with that because that's when it dissolves the, the. The scaly. Dude, I find the term self reflection for meditation works me beautiful, bro. That's amazing. Whatever works. That's the key is like finding the thing that works for you. Because we all have our unique paths and discovering our unique way is this journey, right? You take in other people's perspective. Perspective is all about finding your way, which I find so beautiful. What's your most favorite quote of all time? That you can read that you can resonate with. Thanks, Caleb, for asking. My favorite quote is, the present moment has everything you need for the evolution of your consciousness. It's all here right now, where we are right now. Has everything that we need. It's not a future moment. It's not a future course or a book or program. It's right now. And the invitation is, can we learn how to receive all of the things that the present moment is trying to teach us in terms of what it's trying to reveal and extract or excavate or pull out of us? Really, when the fear comes out, that's the growth. Like, when fear comes up, you're doubting. Something's pulling you, you away from the present moment. That's when we. We stop and go, okay, what is trying to. What is the present moment trying to show me right now? And the present moment can show up as a teacher in many forms. It could be. Show up as a person, a situation, an event, something that doesn't go the way that you want is how the present moment teaches us. Shows up in many forms. Thanks for the question, Jordan. Couple more guys, a couple more questions, and I'll wrap. I'll wrap for the day. So I've just been on a bit of a flow about the different stages of growth, the present moment, how to connect with the grounded warrior energy. But all of it really just circles back to the same thing, right? The more you can see, the more awareness that you have, the more presence power, the sharper your sword of presence, the more you're able to navigate from life, from the place of alignment and authenticity. Love your truth, your. Your path more. We. I believe that's just our purpose here, right, is. Is to learn through dissolving all of the patterns of fear that have been passed down to us from generations. And when we dissolve all of these patterns of fear, what. What replaces it is something unique, is something new, something fresh, something that is just for you, something very unique that's trying to be expressed through you. That God has said, yes, is your time to come into this planet, to bring this to the world. What is that thing? The thing is there. It's just behind all the fear. The fear. And all we have to do is slow down enough to dissolve the fear, dissolve more of it. And they go, okay, God's moving me in this direction. Let's go. Then more fear will come up. Just keep following these breadcrumbs because there's no arriving. That's what I've realized. There's no, like, Moment where we just arrive and then we're at peace forever and there's no more fear and we can just relax that that moment never comes. It's just constant evolution, constant stretching to our edge, expanding, discovering new levels of love and joy and peace. And then we begin another journey that takes us down another path of dissolving more fear. So it's just a cycle, guys. So we just gotta learn to love the journey in the process. That's it. Thanks. Thanks for being on here. The scaly dude. Appreciate you, man. And great question. Graham, what's up, brother? Good to see you guys. I think I might call it there, these lives all get posted on my podcast. Now I've got a lot of amazing guests coming into my podcast. Some of the people that have inspired me, mentors, friends. So if you haven't checked out my podcast already, it's called the Stake Shifters podcast on itunes, Spotify, all the things. And like I said, if you're a man watching this and you want to go deeper, you want to hang out in person with me, I'm hosting a retreat in two weeks in Ontario, Canada. I can't fucking wait. Link is in my bio if you want to learn more about that. Got two spots left, left. But guys, I appreciate you. I'm going to be sharing more content. Thanks for being on here. Thanks for just being, just being a warrior on this journey of bringing more light and consciousness into the world. I appreciate you so much and reach out to me if you have any questions or queries and I'll do my best to get back to you. Much love, guys. Peace. Have a great day.
There we have it, my friend. Thank you so much for tuning into today's episode. One last thing before you take off.
Want to tell you a little bit.
About the path, which is a four month men's program that I facilitate. Enrollments are currently open. And if you're a man listening to this or you know, a man that.
May feel the call to step into.
A men's program and men's group, then this is the opportunity for him.
And if you're tuning into my content.
If you're here, you're listening to this.
There'S some sort of resonance through what I'm putting out. There's something that's calling you to step into this work. And I have decided that I wanted to, you know, create opportunities for men to come together to attract the right.
Kinds of men who are willing to support each other in this journey and what the path is. It's a four month men's program where.
We go into each of the domains.
All of the domains of a man's.
Life, his relationships, his finances, his spirituality, his health, his fitness, all the areas.
To help him achieve full potency.
And we do this through a very specific, measurable, tracked program where we have structure and we have accountability and we have guidance. And essentially, we meet every week, we.
Come together, we measurably track progress in.
Each of these areas, and we have safe spaces where we can open up.
Around other men to release the things we've been holding on to, to release the blockages that holding us back from.
Being true, authentic, grounded warriors in this earth. And if you're here, you know the urgency, you know the need for this.
Kind of work, especially for us men to step into this new level of leadership. So I just wanted to let you know that we're now taking enrollments for the next round. It's something that I really feel that this is my heart and soul's calling to bring this work to fellow men, to fellow brothers like yourself. So if you head over to thepathbrotherhood.com, you'll be able to learn more information about the path, what it's about and how to apply. And if there's something in your soul that's resonating with what I'm sharing, then please follow that. Follow, follow that calling. Because on the other side of it is a whole new realm of possibility, power, and confidence that will just start to emit from you. It will emanate out of you. You deserve it, my friend. You fucking deserve it.
Thank you for being here.
I appreciate you. And hopefully we'll see you on the inside. Take care.
