A single speaker shares personal experience and practical advice for men practicing semen retention, covering how to manage sexual energy, make lifestyle changes, and develop emotional awareness.
Today we're talking about the topic of semen retention. And I'm gonna do it outside while I'm walking to the cafe, just for that extra bit of uncomfortability. When I walk past an older woman, she hears me talking about not ejaculating because it's an important topic. Like in all the men's groups I've been running for the last five to six years. My own personal practice. Over the last 10 years of engaging in these kinds of things, I've acquired some wisdom that I want to share on with you. Because I also see a lot of confusion and a lot of ill intentions for wanting to go into this kind of practice. You could, and I want to make you aware of some of the things to watch out for if you are going to engage in semen retention so that you don't cause harm to yourself or to your body, or almost create dysfunction. Now, I first started doing semen retention back when I was 21, 22, because I was in a long distance relationship with my partner. I had met her while studying in Canada on exchange. And we decided to do this long distance thing, right? We ended up having seven months apart. And I remember making this commitment to myself at the time that hey, you know what? I'm gonna see how long I can go retaining, not ejaculating, not masturbating, to conserve this life force. So that when she arrives at this text is gonna be even more special. And it was during this time that I was also working as an accountant. I was trying to figure out what my purpose was. Trying to figure out, like what is my path, what I want to do in this world. And a lot of this sexual energy started to get transmuted into the pursuit of this higher purpose. Now I want you to remember that because this is important, this energy, as it builds up, as you start to do retention, the energy goes up. Like it goes up in levels. So each week that goes by, you're going up in level. And what most men don't realize is they haven't developed the energetic foundations, the responsibility, the capacity to hold this increase in vitality, in potency. And what I mean by that is if you're still looking at screens, if you're still getting distracted on your phone, if you're allowing your attention to go out of your body, then what's going to happen is one of two things are going to happen. You're either going to get really neurotic because this energy, this vitality, this life force energy is going to grow and it's going to have to go somewhere. So men will often report getting extra neurotic when they do retention. Some men will end up dulling this energy in some other way via drugs or caffeine or nicotine, whatever it might be, ketamine or in some cases, want you to hit a certain level. The energy is not being circulated. If it's not being circulated correctly, excessive heat will start to get stored in your body. And when the energy is not circulated, it has to come out in some way. And for so many men, me included in the past, my body would just have a wet dream while I'm sleeping. And that's the body's way of ejecting this vitality because you don't have the foundations to hold it. That's where if you're doing this practice just as a challenge or as like a no fap challenge, and you're just trying to see how far you can go, but you don't take on the lifestyle changes that support that. That's when it can become dysfunctional, and that's when you can actually do more harm to your body than good. Remember, excess heat in the body is going to get. It's going to create all these behaviors that probably don't support who you want to be. So you have to create a shift in behavior. What does that look like? What is these new ways of supporting this energetic upgrade look like? Well, we need to have practices that help you circulate Circulation could be mindful movement in your body, doing qigong, or you're doing yoga and you're breathing and you're opening up the body. You're allowing this energy to move up your spine. Right? It could be circulated through a creative practice where you're dancing, you're in a creative pursuit, you're expressing this energy, you're pursuing your purpose to the highest degree. Anytime that you unconsciously fall asleep at the wheel, you lose contact with your body and you're lost in your head, fantasizing, thinking, worrying, stressing. The energy stagnates and it will fuck you up. It will not be a pleasant experience, no matter how much your ego tries to will you into doing semen retention. Because that's what everyone else is doing. And that's the thing that men do who are conscious, or that's the thing that you're trying to do. So you can be more magnetic around women. It's the wrong intention. The intention you should have, you must have when coming into a practice like this is how deeply can I connect with, with these aspects of myself, how more fully can I feel all of myself? Which means if you're doing this, examine the time you're on screens, cut your screen time in half and actually sit and be with all of the intensity when you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed or you don't know what to do with this energy. Just sit with it, breathe into it, allow it. Because from that place, you're going to get clarity on where it needs to be expressed, where it needs to be moved, and how it is that can support you. Because what I've noticed in my own relationship with my partner, Amanda, I still practice semen retention. I've been doing it, but allow it to a certain point where I've intuitively started to understand where I cap out or where I've hit my point. Usually it's about four to five weeks. Because I'm still running a business, I'm still online. I can't devote every day into my spiritual work. It's just not my priority right now. So I cap out at a certain level, and that's where I know where my body needs to release. And it's healthy to do that. You don't need to create shame or judgment around that. Sometimes the mistake that I would make in that was I'd be having sex with her, and I wouldn't want to release it. I wouldn't want to let it out. And the sex would then become this version where I'm trying to control something. And sometimes when I would let it release, I would create this story around, fuck, I can't believe let that happen. Damn it. Now I'm going to be depleted. Now I'm going to be tired. Examine all of these stories, because when you do decide to release, uphold the story that it's nourishing you, it's supporting you. It's not bad. It's beautiful. So there's all of these subtleties and nuances that you have to be aware of when you step into a practice like this. Because the judgment and the pressure that you put on yourself to always be retaining will also do the inverse of the effect that you're trying to get it to have. So that means for me, when I'm engaging in sex with my woman, I allow myself to make it the priority of, like, how deeply can I feel in this interaction? And if I'm noticing that it's become very hard for me to retain or my body's trying to ejaculate really quickly, it's usually a good indicator as to my level of embodiment. It's a great indicator as to how much attention or how much internal responsibility I prioritize throughout that day or that week. Okay, so it's a great reflection. Sex will be a great reflection as to your level of capacity. Because her sexuality, her feminine energy is going to awaken all of this aliveness, this sexual energy in you. And if you don't have the ability to be with that, it will overwhelm you very quickly and you're going to want to release. Likewise with life, when you don't have the ability to handle the intensity or the feminine change and the emotionality of life, you're going to want to release in the form of watching porn. Like I said, sugar, coffee, nicotine, whatever it might be. So as you remove all of these numbing agents from your life, you're going to get more in contact with this natural life force. And the more you can circulate around your body and breathe into the areas that feel stagnant and stuck and uncomfortable and start to love all of that, you're going to have a greater capacity to love others deeply. More specifically, you're going to have a greater ability to. To hold women, females in their emotion, to transfer this energy, to have a circulation of the energy via sexual exchange. Not just physical exchange, sexual energetic exchange, where you're able to give and receive without necessarily needing to have sex with a woman. You can circulate this energy just through being in feminine environments and noticing what that does to your body. So if you are going to engage in this practice, I would say be very clear on what your intentions are. Tune into your body, don't let other people tell you what the right way of doing it is, and treat it as a phase of self exploration, as a phase of self understanding. Because you learn a lot about yourself and let go of the rigidity, Especially if you're in the younger, early 20s. Don't try to will your way through this. Have the right responsibilities and rituals set up so that you can do it properly. All right, my friend, we'll leave it at that. If you want more support with getting accountability and guidance for this kind of thing. That's why I have my men's group. We meet every week. Click the link in the description to learn more about it. Otherwise, we'll see in the next video.
