Joy D. Fanning shares three ways to release fear: confront it directly, start with small fears to build confidence, and use guided meditations and vivid imagery. She learned Spanish in Colombia by facing her anxiety head-on and recommends seeking support from a therapist, spiritual guide, or your own inner wisdom.

Hello, my name is Joy D. Fanning, an astronaut of life, and I help people go inward to explore so they can discover the astral realms for themselves. I wanted to focus this one on fears because I think fears and anxiety go together. I did make a video on this a while back. You can check it out, but I wanted to go into this again because I feel like it's a very— it's a topic that needs to be talked about for sure. So to me, fear and anxiety go together because anxiety stems from a type of fear. It could be fear of having to do something, a fear of being overwhelmed, A fear of the future is the main one, right? And just not getting things done that you want to get done. Another thing that triggers me is crowds and noise. So to me, that's just a fear that I can't get out of this space, that I feel overwhelmed. I'm also the kind of person who likes to face their fears. Just kind of ironic, right? But I really am. I freaking live overseas. It took a lot to face these fears. I had to know, okay, I have control over my anxiety. I can do this. So my 3 tips for releasing fears: facing them. Facing your fears is one of the main ways you can get rid of them. Let me give you an example. So I'm not a great Spanish speaker, all right? And I live in a Spanish-speaking country. I'm from America, but I live in Colombia in South America. So I had to release my fear of speaking Spanish because I have to order my food, I have to buy things. Sometimes I have to do it— I'm on my own, I have no one to help me or translate. So I have to just speak. I have to just do it. I have to try. Now, when I first went to Mexico, I just kind of mimed. I didn't really try my Spanish, but it's been 2 years now. Now I can order my own food. I can talk to people. It's a little bit easier, but I had to take that first step of just trying. Number 2, start small. If you're gonna face your fears, don't pick your biggest fear to conquer first. Pick your— pick one of your smaller ones. When you do it, give yourself a pat on your back. Okay, I can do it. I can face this fear. I didn't— I didn't know— I didn't want to try this food. I didn't know what it was. It kind of scared me, but I tried it and now it's my favorite. Or I freaking hate it and now I know. Pick something small. I think if you're an overachiever like I can be sometimes, you, you want to be like, no, no, no, I can handle the big ones. If I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it big. No, this is not the time for that. Start small, work your way up, build that confidence up, get that freedom going, and then you'll be at a place free to handle the big ones. My third tip for releasing fears is to do guided meditations or specific activations or use specific music that talks and uses imagery about releasing these fears. I've made my own, you can check them out below. There's plenty of them all over the internet for you to find and use. Find one that resonates, use it, and use this imagery, use the music, use whatever you're listening to to help you visualize and use the this method to release. Because even when you're visualizing it, even if it's your imagination, that energy of anxiety, whatever you're trying to transmute, it will leave. And this is a beautiful, wonderful way to help you transmute your fears, your anxiety, all of it. Okay, so give meditation a go. Bonus one I also want to mention that can kind of go along with anxiety is to just take it to Source or God or the universe or whatever you call it, your guides, your higher self. If this is what you really want, tell them, look, I need help. I do not want to be anxious anymore. Bring the methods that will help me into my path and awareness and give me the motivation to help me do it, because I need it and I know I need to do this. Ask for help. You can ask a therapist as well in 3D, but in a spiritual way, go to Source, go to your higher self, go to your guides, ask for direction, and it'll come. Be open to every way it could come. Might not— it might not come in the way you think, but open. Look for the synchronicities, listen, ask questions, be active. And the answers are going to come because everybody has a different way. One of these tips should work for everybody. They might not work for everybody, but if you're, if you're just figuring out that you have anxiety, you— or maybe you're like me, you've going on 15 years or more and you're still looking for ways to help cope, try some of these methods. My favorite is meditation. I'll link all the guided meditations I make— not all of them, but the playlist below. I also offer weekly free guided meditations on Saturdays at 12 noon Eastern. Also, if you are— you've been here before, you've heard me talk about different things that's happened to me in meditation and you're curious about how to use meditation as a method to explore deeper, then I really want to suggest to you this course I'm going to be offering on February 22nd.
