A meditation revealed a past-life sword wound at the exact spot where surgery later scarred the author's body. The vision connected to a rare cancer they were fighting, which they saw as a soul wound echoing that ancient injury. The parallel between the sword and the surgical blade inspired the memoir's title, Blades of Resurrection.
and, um, I got the name of my book in a very unique way. Um, one night when I was doing a meditation, I had a vision of a past life where I was struck with a sword in the exact same spot that I had my surgery. I didn't quite understand it at first, but with that strike and after the meditation, this very, very rare cancer, I found meaning in it. I was like, wow, this is almost like a soul wound from another lifetime. And it kind of manifested itself as this very rare cancer. And I just remember that stark vision of me being struck with a blade. So in the past lifetime, I underwent a sword. In this lifetime, I underwent the scalpel. So that's why I've named my memoir Blades of Resurrection.
