The importance of intent. Using Your Most Powerful Gift- Intention.

Joy D. Fanning explains intent as the direction of your focus and energy, and why it shapes outcomes. A 2007-2010 meditation study found an 18.5% drop in homicide and violent crime in cities where people collectively set intentions for peace. She shares how she uses intent for decisions like becoming an expat, and suggests spending five minutes on New Year's Eve writing or visualizing your yearly intention.

Hello, my name is Joy D. Fanning, an astronaut of life. I am a psychic and I help people go inward to explore. Today I want to talk about the importance of intent. So to me, intent means where you put your focus, but more importantly, your energy, where you like point yourself, right? And I'm learning on my own spiritual journey just how important intent— intention is, not just in manifestation or meditation, but in everything, in every aspect Every aspect of my life, to me, it all boils down to intent. What was your intent when you did this action? What was your intent when you made this decision or you decided to put yourself in this direction? I also think intent when, when I think of quantum physics. So to me, this is where one of the areas science and spirituality are merging. In quantum physics I mean, if you've been around the block, you've probably heard this before, but, um, in quantum mechanics, we talk about— they talk about the observer effect, um, and how— I remember this from the double slit experiment. You can go down these rabbit holes, there's plenty of videos on this, if not everything. But basically, the observer effect is the disturbance of an observed system by the act of observation. This is often the result of instruments that change the state of something they're measuring. This part stood out to me because it's literally just saying there's no connection to spirituality um, and it's misinterpreted that our consciousness has a direct effect on reality. But here's the thing, this brings me into the— I'm not even gonna try to say this— effect, which is a study done, large groups practicing This type of meditation program were associated with significant reductions in U.S. homicide and urban violent crime rates during an intervention period of 2007 to 2010, and a new study by, mm, University of Management confirmed. So what this is talking about is they got a big group of people, they all did this type of meditation, And their intention was to bring peace and drop the crime rate of America and the certain cities they were in. And they did this consecutively over a period of years. And what you know, it dropped. So here's just, there's the baseline. This is how much of a change it was. So this goes through all the statistics of it. It dropped 18.5%. I'm just kind of dabbling in this. I'm sure there's— you want to take this down a whole rabbit hole, go for it. You will probably learn way more than this, but I'm just trying to bring this to your awareness, right? Like, even science is getting there, you guys. They're gonna I love it. To me, they're different languages for the same thing. That's how I explain it in my mind. That's the level of understanding I have of this right now. To me, your consciousness does create your reality. Your intention matters. So my intention in this video is to bring light to this topic. That's my intention, to help you on your journey, okay? That's why I'm here and that's why I'm doing it. That's my intent, and hopefully it'll work, right? If that's the goal of this video, I'm saying the right things, I'm doing the right things, so it's working. My intent is working. That's what I want to be. A lot of people ask, how do you meet your starseed family? How do you meet your guides in meditation? Creation? How do you see things? How do you know your spiritual gifts? I put my intent into it. When I meditate, I set an intention. I'm— I say, I want to meet with my higher self, I want to be with God, I want to meet with my angels, whatever. And I do my meditation, boom, I see them. My intent is there, it creates them— not creates them, but it brings that energy in, and it brings me up to where I need to be. This also goes into manifestation, setting your intention. I want to manifest this, I want to manifest that, I'm going to put my energy towards this. This is how I became an expat. This is how I've got an online job. This is how I'm doing what I'm doing now. I would say that all falls into the manifestation realm, but I set my intent, I followed through with actions, and boom, it's reality. It's— it's— so I feel like we are learning as a species that we are creating our own reality. A lot of us think we have to work a 9 to 5, we think we have to have children, we think we have to get married and buy a house, and you know, all those things we're programmed to do since childhood. So that's the reality we create. We go to college, we get married, we make babies, we get a job, and we live it, right? That's our intention. We're not really setting an intention, we're just kind of moving through it. Once you start playing around with this, it really opens your eyes. I would say if you've never done anything with intent, start small. Okay, especially when it comes to manifestation. I think my intent for today is to not cheat on my diet. Then do all the actions you can do to make sure you don't do that. All right, or another intention that's small is my intent is to get a signal from my guides in the form of a feather. This is what I want to bring into my reality. And then you just wait. You release it and you wait. And there's a little feather. There's another symbol. Then you grow and you build on it. This video is airing on New Year's Eve, and to me, this is a day of intent. We're all thinking about the new year. We're thinking about the past, what we want in the future. What our resolutions will be. So to me, this is the perfect day to talk about intent. And my challenge to you is to take a minimum of 5 minutes today where you're alone, and you can either write out, talk out, or just think about what intention do you want to set for the next year. What do you want it to look like? I usually write this down. I write it all down and then I put it away. I— that to me is my symbolism to release it. Okay, so I hope this video found you— was helpful for you. I hope you enjoyed it. If you like this kind of content and you want to do more things and learn more things from me, I'm going to be having a course starting in February, on February 22nd. It's a spiritual— developing your spiritual practice. So we're going to talk about all the different methods to practice spirituality and how we can use each of them to create our own unique kind of ritual to go into this deep connective space with Source, with your guides, with whatever, using your own unique spiritual gifts to connect. That's what we're going to explore. It's a 6-week course. I would love to have you do it. We're going to do the first 6 weeks together. I will be with you, and I would love to have you there and, and have you participate. We're going to have a live Facebook group. If that sounds interesting, click on my website, Follow the Trail, and sign up. I would love to have you there. Happy New Year. I— this new '22, I bless you. It will be beautiful. I look forward to going on this journey with you. Namaste.
