Hi guys, it's Kanika from Kanika Design. Guess what? It's the second day and today I'm gonna go look at some furniture, so let's go check out some furnitures. What we are looking at is handicraft from Morocco. There are about 10 different designers within the company, and every corner that you're looking at, it's created by a different designer. Here are some funky side table, coffee table, and a dining table display.
Okay, this is a company that is already 65 years old. Yeah, okay, it's been founded 65 years ago and it has been since the beginning specialized in production of tables, chairs, occasionals, and sideboards. Okay, this is what is currently our icon. Okay, a stable is a table that has a metal base. Yeah, the metal base that is made by two shells that are delivered separately.
Okay.
In order to be very simple to transport also on different floors.
Got it.
A table like this should be assembled by not professional assemblers, let's say, in 20 minutes.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, you have the mirror part, the mirroring part, and the second one is mirror, is always mirror, but such kind of carbon look finishing, okay, that we get And the same is this one. It's the same concept, but of course has another shape. This is a rectangular, and also in 3 different finishes.
A little bit more classic, timeless feel to it.
Definitely. And then we have, this is another style. The shapes, we try to find something that is not usual. The sideboards, they have, the carcasses are made in PDF.
Okay.
And we lacquer in different colors.
Yeah.
And the doors, they can be in different finishes.
Okay.
Wooden, canulated wood, glass, glass like we saw before on the mirror that should be done like a mix and match.
Oh yeah, I saw it on the top.
Exactly, like there is the sideboard, that sideboard, and we can have also the let's say you can match with the top of the tables.
Got it. I love the material, like I love these 3 settings. Like if you have a really big space, like a living space, I think these look fabulous together. And I love the nesting on these guys. So beautiful. Oh, it's kind of like a 3D effect on it. I like it. So cool. The mirror behind me is very timeless. I like the look and feel of it. The whole thing is made of glass. Even this part right here is glass, and there's texture on it. So pretty. Oh, I love the whole look and feel of this table. This is actually an extendable table. The base is really nice. Look at this, it extends out. Look at this beautiful collection. There are colorful pieces ranging from furniture to home accessories. And I'm absolutely in love with how each piece tells us a story through thoughtful design and craftsmanship. Look at this beautiful room. The whole vibe here reminds me of an Amazon jungle with its lush greens, warmth, and vibrant colors. The natural textures and organic shapes throughout create an interesting space. I want to talk about this mirror a little bit. It's absolutely fabulous. I'll move closer to show you the details. Look at the beautiful rope detail on the inside of the mirror. It's truly a time timeless piece. All the pieces are very classic. This piece in particular caught my eye. Once again, I love the details on all the pieces. I'm going to move closer to the chandelier and show you the little birds sitting on a branch at the base of the chandelier. It's perfect. Let's walk into Peter Adams. Everything you'll see here is designed by him, from furniture to light fixtures. I really like the take on all his lighting, especially the beautiful chandelier up on top. This piece in particular reminds me of like an upside-down seaweed turned into a chandelier. Look at this inside, it's very pretty. It's leather, these are leather drawers. That's so pretty, look at that. The chandelier has an upside-down palm tree vibe for me, which is really beautiful. Similar to this one, a table lamp and also a floor lamp. Hi guys, let's do a quick walkthrough. Stone International, it's an Italian company. Everything is made in Italy and it's in Florence. So let's check out some of the items they have. Um, in particular, um, I tried out some of the dining chairs, especially this one. It's very comfortable. The backrest is really nice. The way their arm is positioned right here when you sit on it, everything feels very comfortable to sit on. Love their dining tables. This is a very beautiful marble top. Love this coffee table. There's actually light inbuilt to it, so it's lighting up. Um, it's a beautiful piece. It really catches your attention. It's a conversation piece. Love everything about it. So Stone International specializes in working with natural stone, so that's why you see a lot of beautiful stone. Coffee tables or dining tables. I mean, look at this one in particular, the colors on it. Oh my God, it is so beautiful. All the warm tones of green and the rustic orange, it's so beautiful. Hi guys, so we are at a new, um, vendor at the moment. They're basically starting off their line. They're pretty young and they're called the Love Light 39. So they're basically trying to take design and build that into as many furniture pieces as possible.
It is handmade. Oh wow, it is handmade. And we wanted to create the idea of the heights, and we wanted to give a transparency to the plate. In this case also, we have played with the contrast, gloss and matte, as you can see. So I would see it in a bathroom, for instance, and you can have a different dimension. That's the maximum dimension. Yeah, but you can have it square, like as a painting, for example, for a table. Yeah, for also floor, why not? Yeah, it's one of the best because, uh, it's really the per— obviously it's handmade. Yeah, I was gonna say, so each piece is different, unique. So in this case it's unique, some texture on it.
Oh nice, nice.
Yes, we want— yes, in this case we have because we use a powder of glitter. A powder of glitter, as you can see there also, is a main feature of our, of our works.
Okay. I am really excited to show you one of my favorite brands, so let's do a quick walkthrough. Oh, I wanted to see this in real life because I was checking out their website. They're actually really nice. Look at these elephants! Oh, I'm in love with that. They're so cute. I wanted this for our living room too. I really like their lighting. These are fun chairs. Look at the fabric on them, it's so nice. Yeah, pretty comfortable. This is so cool. I love this. Oh man, I need to use this in one of my designs. This whole hammered— hammered in on top a little bit. Yeah. This is really nice. Look at the detail on this guy. So nice, no? Takes you back in time. And then the wallpaper they have used on it, I mean, it's superb. Look at this, that looks so good. Oh my God, everywhere I look I'm like, wow. So beautiful. I was looking at this online too. This was just a quick sneak peek. You'll soon see a full episode with everything I discovered here.
Yay!
But it's really comfortable and I like it. It's like a really soft glide that does a 360-degree turn. I literally have my foot up and it's just going round and I'm back on.
So Scappini is a family business, it's 45 years old, and we have been very well known around the world for our classic production.
Okay.
This desk can be used as a desk for home office, yeah, but also as a vanity desk. Oh yeah, yeah. We can put a freestanding mirror on top, and we can have it with the riser or without.
It's a very clean design, which I like.
Yeah, and we can, we can have it with the handle if the customer wants to. Yeah, this is, this is really the, the masterpiece of the collection. Yeah, first bottom shelf is fixed, and the other 3 shelves are swivel. They swivel all around 360 degrees.
1960s.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, that is pretty nice.
Then a real masterpiece of the collection is the bar cabinet.
Yeah, I love this.
This is ebony veneered. We find all the details that we have in the collection, like the metal profile, the glass top, lacquered glass top, yeah, handle with the leather insert and double stitching. So it's very detailed inside. Color of the year, which is the pink fruits, but bolder. Yeah, more rich.
Yeah.
And then outside here in the niche, we have our small sideboard in oyster white finish. Lamps are also— all the lightings are also our production. Okay, that's really our design. Inside the cabinet is LED light with organ sensor.
Very nice. It, it all works really well together. The detailing on this chair is remarkable. Look at all the curves. Wow. Oh Cool, it's cool in here. How nice this is, it's so pretty. I may have been exhausted from all the walking, but I am really excited about what I found. Lots of furniture vendors that I am very excited to work with. I met many local Italian vendors whose products were exceptionally high quality and unique, and better yet, many ship to the US. Stay tuned for the next episode where I'll show you Milan's stunning design districts that you won't want to miss.
