Welcome to Welcome to another episode of Design Hopping with Kanika. Come with me to Paris where I'll be showing you many interior design finds I discovered on the streets of Paris. Let's start with where I stayed. Situated in an 18th-century building, this apartment had beautiful interiors, fascinating local decor items. It had everything I hoped for in my Paris stay and so much more. Hi guys, so we are in Paris wandering around the streets in the District 6. Really nice. Paris has some really unique galleries to shops, you name it, they have it all. Right now we're going into a gallery called Carole de Combe, so let's go in and explore the unique space they have inside. I want to start off with this beautiful chandelier right above me. It reminded me of moon, and it's actually called the Full Moon. It's a very unique take on a chandelier, very grounded, very close to the earth. And if you want something unique in your home, this is a perfect item. The same artist that made this beautiful chandelier also created some couple of console tables that they have here at the moment. So one of them is right here. I love the antique silver touch that he has on this beautiful antique black color. There's one more on this side. This is a stone top, and I love the legs. It's very elegant. Everything that you're seeing in here is handmade. For example, let's look at this really cool sconce. This right here is a glass piece. So this beautiful table lamp is called the Void. It's an artwork itself. It's not your everyday table lamp. It's very unique. Side table right here. So if you look at it, it looks like one solid piece. This is bronze right here, what you can see. So I thought this is one piece, but you can actually lift this guy up. It's not part of the table, so you got to be very careful. So this guy right here, I kind of like How this is hugging the waist from top to bottom, it's very beautiful. Here is a one-of-a-kind light fixture. At first glance, it looks like an upside-down boat. Its name translates to net in English, perfectly capturing its intricate design, crafted from meticulously cut and hand-molded brass sheets. This stunning chandelier can transform any space with its artistic design. Most of the artists inside are from France, and they do have some artists that are like kind of all over Europe. So let's go in quickly and check out their gallery. This is a one-of-a-kind coffee table. We got some onyx and some metalwork, and I want to talk about the detailing of the metalwork. So As you come closer, what you see, all the engraving on the brass right here, this pattern is actually made using water pressure. This is first time I'm hearing something unique like this of a creation where they use water pressure to create something absolutely stunning. The more I learn about this painting and this artist, I want to meet him now. This is very interesting. This masterpiece is about life and death. This is the artist himself. It's kind of like he's flowing in space. Basically, we are moving regardless our time being here on this planet Earth. We're always moving. So a very cool take on modern-day abstract. Here are some really unique side tables called the Interaction, and to me it looks like two faces communicating together. It's a very cool take. Again, the detailing on the piece is really nice. So this piece right here is made with brass, and what I thought it would be a coffee table base, and it can be that, but it's actually a bench. How unique is that? Like, um, that was not my first thought, but again, creativity, it takes you at many level. This is by far the coolest decor I have seen, especially if you love McDonald's or anything unique that you want to have as a decor in your home. So here's like a little hamburger box with your drink and fries. Now that's unique. This is by an Italian artist, the ceramic balloons. The artist's name is Jojo de Perma. He has created— they had few items in here that I want to show you. So one of them are these cool balloons, and then old camera, and an ice cream scone. This is a one-of-a-kind sideboard. It also actually comes with a very unique key system. It opens on its own while— when it unlocks, right? And basically you said it needs to be on a flat surface, right, for it to open on its own while the key goes in. Oh, and there's some drawers inside. Hi guys, so I'm in a very unique bookstore. So when I travel, I like to go into bookstores and find something design-related or something nice to put on a coffee table. So you know how when we see in magazines or model homes, the coffee table is so nice and they have nice display of books? They have this that I'm interested in. Living in Japan. So the books could be whatever you would want to pick up and read from your coffee table. So like, I love this one, The Book of Citrus Fruits. It's very pretty. I don't know if you've been to Mexico City. They have the home she lived in as a museum. It's a very cool place to be in, and it talks about like how painful her life was and what she'd been through. So here's another one if you like Eiffel Tower. If you are a fan, this is a great book and just kind of talks about the construction of the tower, how it was built, if you're interested in things like that. This is a beautiful case that it sits in. Oh wow, and you said that was metal, right? Yeah. Yeah, okay. I mean, I have never seen a book with such a beautiful case. Oh nice, ah, so neat. This city is a lot more than monuments and tourist attractions. Paris has an incredibly rich interior design heritage. The city's design scene seamlessly blends historical elegance with modern innovation, making it a paradise for interior enthusiasts. Just walking around the streets, you'll discover countless boutiques featuring antique furniture, textiles, and decor with a touch of French sophistication. For all my viewers, Paris is my favorite city, and I hope you enjoyed experiencing this city through the eyes of an interior designer. That anyone And everyone in their lifetime should visit Paris at least once in their life because I think you will love it. It's that beautiful. 'Cause anywhere you look, you'll be like, wow, this is pretty. No, this is pretty. Oh, that's pretty. Oh no, no, that was pretty. Everything is beautiful. It's that gorgeous. Anyway, for now, next up it's Copenhagen. See you there. Bye! Guys, I'm seeing you watching our channel and not subscribing, so please do that. It really helps us.
