Imagine a kitchen that's more than a workspace. It's a canvas of creativity. In today's episode, I'll show you high-end Italian designer kitchens where functionality meets sophistication. From sleek countertops to innovative storage solutions, these spaces redefine modern luxury living.
Are part of the, you know, pillars of Italian design, especially when it comes to kitchens. Yeah, um, we've been around for about 80 years, and, you know, our focus has always been on kitchens. Yeah, started with kitchens as, you know, a local manufacturer company, and then obviously we've introduced a lot of technological evolution to, to our designs. Okay, this kitchen in particular has a brand new finish actually, which we launched today. Oh, nice. So these doors are actually stainless steel front doors. Yeah. The stainless steel is treated with a method called PVD. Okay. So basically the door is put in an airtight environment, and in that environment it's surrounded by vapor that's charged with a metal, and this metal attaches to the door thanks to like an electric, uh, an electric charge to the door. Oh, and what's this top again? The top? Ceramic. It's ceramic. Yeah, so it's a very durable material when it comes to, you know, kitchen benchtops. Obviously they're used as ceramic floor tiles as well. Yeah, um, it allows a thickness of 12mm, which gives this very sort of minimal, beautiful look. So this is our pocket door system, which is very popular if you want to, you know, hide away a section of your kitchen for whatever reason. Maybe it is the section where you have your appliances. Exactly. Uh, oh, actually, that's the pocket door. Sorry. Okay. Maybe it's a section where you've got your appliances. Maybe you've got a worktop section A lot of my clients, you know, have a little minibar in there. So it's a very clever mechanism. Yeah. Just like that. Like that. And it just disappears. It's like a foldable door. Yeah. And it's my personal favorite, to be honest. When I first saw it, I thought it's leather. Oh, you know, it's this very— it does give that effect. Very soft, very textural, but it's not leather. It is— the base of it is a mud lacquer. In your case, it's a red mud lacquer.
Okay.
And then what happens is each single door is hand scratched. Oh, okay. By a person singularly, very, very lightly. And then on top of those scratches that have been created, there is a dust of, you know, like a metal, golden metal dust in this case, that gets sprayed, and a Phoenix top to basically matte lacquer with, yeah, matte lacquer. So it creates this very sort of monolithic sculptural almost look, all in the same or similar type of material. I love that. Yeah, so this is a rangehood system with some integrated wine glass holders. I like that. And also some light Oh, nice. For basically the workspace. So like a— So we call that Boiserie system. It's basically paneling for the walls. You can add shelves at whatever heights you need them. And in this case, we've got these LED lighting which really make the kitchen, you know, it's something quite nice. Yeah. In the back of the Boiserie, we have timber veneer. In a high gloss finish, which obviously goes to the contrast with the matte of the kitchen. It breaks it up. It gives it life. And same with, you know, the finish here is something very special. It's again an aluminium door, and the finish in the front is Diamante. Okay. So, you know, it has this pattern throughout. And is this metal? Yeah, it's aluminium. Oh, so I'm not sure whether it's— oh no, this is the fridge, sorry. Um, so it's all aluminium inside as well. And the— yeah, okay. Uh, but this is definitely one of our most popular. It's called Frame. Okay. And it's been designed by Italian architect Massimo Iozaghini. Okay. Uh, so definitely a big name and an iconic design associated with it. We have almost like a classical kitchen, you know, with this shaker style doors with the frame around it. I think it's very interesting because although it is a classical take on a kitchen, Saint Laurent marble— I'm not sure, but I think it comes from maybe Brazil. Okay. You know, enriches any kitchen so beautifully. It offers a lot of transparency.
Yeah.
You can, you know, you have the opportunity to put some design pieces in there as showcase pieces. The backing, we've seen it in the other kitchen earlier, was in the quartz art. Maybe you've got the island in one finish and the cabinetry here in another finish, and you can sort of marry the both in here by recalling the same. Very big, very heavy. Yeah. And very beautiful when, you know, integrated in the this type of door. This is a glass door. We've got a 3mm glass panel with a metal mesh at the back of it. I, in terms of the look of it, I really love the gas.
Oh really?
Uh, yeah, because they're quite chunky, like very big. Um, in— I think they have a couple of different finishes. The brand is called Pitt, and this is their induction model. It's actually the first time I see it installed I love it. Yeah, it is. Absolutely. Yeah, they're so beautiful. I love the detailing on it. Yeah.
Okay.
