Sacred Island with Christina Calvey

Christina Calvey describes her experience at the Unleash the Island Author Adventure (a multi-day author retreat). Across day-by-day reflections she credits ceremonies, breathwork, channeling with Kira, equine therapy, and community support for rapid creative breakthroughs. The retreat enabled her to write a book in four and a half days; she reports the manuscript is written and currently exceeds 44,000 words. She frames the process as alchemical and essential self-investment and praises facilitators (Kira, Sammy) and the retreat’s logistical details (meals, photoshoot).

My name is Christina Calvi. The book I am writing is going to be a book meant to help people with stagnancy in their life. How to design a life plan in juxtaposition to some of my own life memories that give kind of light and picture to how to go about doing that. Just guidance to getting out of that stagnancy that keeps us in this illusion that we don't know what to do and that we don't know what our purpose is and that we don't know what our path is. And just trying to get more and more still and more and more quiet to hearing what that purpose is. The greatest miracle I could receive this week would be to embody the tier of women that are here because I am that. And the biggest act of self betrayal I could do is to play small. So the miracle would be to step into who I truly am. I'm feeling like I'm actually ready to let go of the notion of trying to figure out how I'm going to write a book in four and a half days. I'm allowing the process to happen and I will come to when it's done. My name is Christina Calvi. This is officially day one of Unleash the Island Author Adventure. My breakthrough today was being extremely intentional in every single ceremony that was prepared for us today and just really taking it in as nourishment. And that nourishment allowed me to literally go almost like on an all day purge of just writing and writing and writing and just hearing messages of like any of anytime a doubt came in of like that's not for you to figure out. Just keep yourself open. And so just a constant coming back to source. And I think the, you know, sort of specifically with the book, the biggest breakthrough has been that I realized that my book is a workbook which has really shifted and opened a line of communication between me and Source of what comes out. So it's been really a beautiful process. I was really appreciative of the cleansing ceremony and the breathwork. The cleansing ceremony was just a beautiful way that I'd love to incorporate just daily ritual in my life. And the breathwork always I've dabbled in it before and it always opens me up and grounds me and so super grateful to have that, especially in the writing process. Christina here. Day two was a really magical day. I channeled with Kira and was really able to get a lot of clarity that gave a lot of momentum in my book writing. I went from kind of hyper focusing to thinking bigger and really being able to make some serious headway. Followed by Today, which was full of writing a lot more, a lot more kind of focused in that area and had equine therapy, which was my biggest breakthrough because it really informed the writing in the sense that it showed me ways in which I'm not energetically showing up for myself, which shows in, in the writing. So I was really appreciated, appreciative of the blind spots shown to me with the equine therapy. So just another magical day on the final day. My name is Christina Calvi. And my miracle this week amongst countless miracles. But I think the biggest miracle was allowing myself to truly believe in miracles that have allowed me to write this book. You know, four and a half days seems impossible when you think about it through logic. And the fact of the matter is, is that this is alchemy. What Kira does is alchemy. What Kira puts out there brings out the alchemist. And yeah, it's just been a miracle to be around like minded beautiful souls that help you produce what you came here to do. And so the biggest miracle has just honestly been being able to do something that logically doesn't seem possible, which is to write a book in four and a half days. So the state of my book is that the state of my book is written. I've got over 44,000 words and I've got some like trimming fat to do and some adding, but it's, it's there, it's there and it's palpable and it's real and it's something that I can mentally, emotionally and you know, just, just navigate. I wasn't able to do that before. It was just something free floating in my mind. And now it's on paper. Like I just said, it's over 44,000 words. It'll go up in words and down in words as I come back and edit, but it's there and it's incredible. You know, I can't say this trip was what I expected because I had no blueprint, no template. I sort of came without expectations and just this knowingness that it, that it was going to be incredible. But I had no, I had nothing in my mind, no vision in my mind of what that looked like. And every single day, every, every, single, you know, teaching ceremony, ritual, practice exceeded the next. And so I just feel so grateful to have compacted all of that knowledge, all of that information, all of that inner work in this amount of time. Because in any other realm of reality, this would have taken like seven years. So I feel really grateful. This experience is not some sort of luxury. This experience is an invest a necessary investment in yourself that you deserve and that needs to be made so that you can create what's been. What's been living inside of you to make space for even more creations because the world deserves it. And that's something that I've learned here and that I've learned from the other participants that have been here that I see in them as they create more creations. Come and you deserve this trip. Just really appreciative of all of the people that facilitated. Like just everything was done to a T here from, from everybody. Like service on, you know, the meals were perfection. The breath work was amazing. Kira was amazing. Sammy was amazing with the photos. I think the photo shoot, if you, you must do the photos because it's it. I have in my arsenal of photo shoots a sixth grade photo shoot. So to be able to work with somebody that's able to just make it so seamless and comfortable is just, it's gold. It's, it's, it's something you can't, I mean, you can't put a price tag on because it literally, it's, it's who you're presenting to the world. And he made that so seamless and so easy. And yeah, I think it's, I'm just grateful for everybody involved and it just made the whole retreat just chef's kiss.
