Frank Edwards, laid off from Republic Windows and Doors, thanks Kevin and the union for bringing energy-efficient window production back to the plant. The Recovery Act funded his return to work, and he credits the Vice President with helping restore his job.
Good morning. My name is Frank Edwards, and I formerly worked for Republic Windows and Doors. When I lost my job in December and couldn't support my family, that was the worst feeling in the world. It was awful. Then I heard what Kevin was doing with our union to bring a new energy-saving window to our plant. Thank you. and restarted. While I have not read all the words of the Recovery Act, I know I am standing here because of it. And when I got the call to come back to work, I said, when and where? Thank you, Mr. Vice President, for helping me make my life whole again. And welcome to our factory. All right!
