A short leadership monologue by Kim Zoller (Wednesday's Wirings) that explains the idea of communication loops—positive versus negative—and urges leaders to self-check how they speak and what they look for, because the loop they inhabit amplifies similar outcomes across their team. The segment is conversational and ends with a prompt to another person ('Sam?').

Whether you realize it or not, you are in a communication loop. We all are. And we are either in a positive communication loop or a negative communication loop, because that's what happens. It's like any pattern. We get into patterns. And so the question for you and for all of us is, as leaders, why does it even matter? Well, it matters if we're in a positive or a negative, because that is what we get more of. Hi, I'm Kim Zoller, and welcome to Wednesday's Wirings. You know, today I want you to think about what are you, how do you speak, and what are you looking for? When we look for positive. When we're in a positive communication loop, our mind opens up and we see more solutions. When we're in a negative communication loop, we only get more of the negative, and we see more of the negative, and we get more problems. And by the way, that's what people pick up on us, and then that's what they do as well. So just check yourself today and ask yourself, are you in a positive or a negative communication loop? Sam?
