A short daily-tip video by Kim Zoller reflecting on the common use of the word "busy." Zoller encourages viewers to question whether "busy" reflects true prioritization, to prioritize important tasks (including occasional obligations to others), and to reframe language—e.g., saying "I'm productive" or "I'm prioritizing"—to feel more intentional and positive.

Hi, it's Kim Zoller. Have you noticed the word busy comes out of your mouth? Does it come out a lot? Does it come out a little? I don't know about you, but I find myself and I find myself saying, I'm busy. And really what it means is, am I prioritizing? Am I prioritizing the things that are important? Now? Sometimes I have to prioritize other people's stuff because I either told them that I would get them something or something has come up. And yet if I plan what I need to do, then I am really being productive, and I'm really getting the biggest bang for my buck by prioritizing what is most important. And so that's what I want you to think about, is to challenge yourself instead of being busy just because that language in our heads makes us feel overwhelmed and not good. I want you to think about, can we replace that word with I'm super productive or I have so many fun things going on or I have a lot going on and I'm prioritizing everything. So this week is really about language and the words that we use. And today, the word is busy. Have the best day.
