Kim Zoller says motivation often comes after you start, not before. She teaches a spin class exhausted, runs a Nike workout labeled "not motivated to run," and finds the action itself sparks the energy to keep going.

Hi, it's Kim Zoller. So you know those days that you're just not motivated, you're not motivated to work out, to get on your bike, you're not motivated to go for a run? One of my favorite Nike Run Club runs is the not motivated to run run. And what I love about it is when Andy Petticombe of Headspace says, well, you're not motivated to run run, but we're running. And I thought about that because I had the worst night's sleep. And this morning I was teaching spinning and I'm like, I'm not motivated. And I thought, I'm not motivated to do a post today. And then I thought, wait, but I'm doing it. So one of the key things about motivation is that don't let it get in the way. Just do what we need to do. Do what you set out to do. Think about your goals, think about what you're trying to achieve, and. And just do it. Because once you're doing it, it's amazing how the motivation comes. Have the best day. Don't let lack of motivation get in your way. And the next thing you know, you'll be doing what you need to do. Bye.
