A brief YouTube monologue by Kim Zoller (ID360) advising viewers not to internalize presumed expectations from others. Zoller encourages people to recognize that others' expectations are not theirs, and—if concerned—to sit down and explicitly discuss expectations to remove false narratives that cause stress and harm relationships.

Do you get stressed out when you think other people have expectations on you? Hi, I'm Kim Zoller with ID360 and welcome to Wednesday's Wirings. You know, we create this narrative. We think other people have expectations of us and what should we do and what do they expect? And so I challenge you to have the courage to know that other people's expectations are their business, not yours. And if you're really concerned, sit down with them and say to them, hey, let's discuss expectations so that we just lay it out on the table. There are no false expectations. Instead of creating these narratives in our minds that get us all stressed out, make us feel overwhelmed, make us feel bad, and actually break down the relationship. So think about this today and again, have the courage to sit down with people and get all those false expectations out on the table. Have the very best day.
