A short spoken-word monologue by Kim Zoller (Wednesday's Wirings) arguing that individuals experience the same events differently because of the meanings they assign. She illustrates this with everyday examples (meetings, parties, family interactions) and urges listeners to reframe unhelpful meanings so life feels more purposeful and precious.

Have you ever walked out of a meeting and been super excited and then talked to a colleague and they were like, that was the worst meeting. Or gone to a party and had the best time, and then someone else is like, that was the worst. Or vice versa. Hi, I'm Kim Zoller, and welcome to Wednesday's Wirings. Or have you ever talked to a sibling and another sibling and one had, like, this amazing experience with their life and their family, and the other one had a terrible experience? You know, every single thing in our life is based on our meaning in our head. How we took something, did we take it with. This is a lesson that I learned. This is the opportunity. This is the connection that I can make. Or did we take it like, someone did something to me and it was the worst thing that ever happened, or that was such a waste of my time? Every single situation is the reality is our reality is based on the meaning we give it. So think about what your reality is and what meaning you are giving to situations in your life and how if they're not serving you, how you can flip them so that they do serve you, so that your days are so much more precious and meaningful and purposeful.
