Kim Zoller explains quiet quitting and what managers can do about it. Ask employees about their well-being, sense of purpose, and whether they understand the company's mission and values. Then actually act on what they tell you.
Chapters
So I've been reading this week about management being so surprised about this quiet quitting. Hi, I'm Kim Zoller, and welcome to Wednesday's Wirings. Let's continue on this theme that we started last week about quiet quitting. I don't really understand why people are so surprised, because ultimately it means that people are feeling a lack of purpose. They're not feeling connected to their organization, and they're not feeling connected to their managers. So instead of being surprised, rather today, do ask your people three questions. How are you? What's going on in your life? Do you feel purposeful in your work? How can I help you have more purpose? And do you know what our mission and vision and values are and how can we learn to live them more? What can I do for you? Be curious. Instead of being surprised about quiet quitting, let's all take action and get reconnected.
