A short YouTube monologue by Kim Zoller (ID360) that uses a 'mirror vs. window' analogy to encourage leaders to act as mirrors—reflecting empathy, understanding, and trust back to their teams—rather than as windows. The speaker frames this as a way to build deeper trust and connection with people they lead.

Hi, it's Kim Zoller with ID360. Are you a leader who is a mirror or a window? Think about a window. A window is wonderful, right? Because we can see outside and we see something different, and yet a mirror, we see ourselves. We see ourselves reflecting back. And so I want to be that leader who's reflecting back and saying, I believe you. I have empathy for you. I have perspective that is like your perspective. I know that for leaders who I follow that I know that they truly understand me, and I can then really understand them. And I trust them so much more because I know that they have my best interest. So I want you to think about that analogy and just think about being that leader who is that mirror for other people. Have the best day.
