Replay: How to Stop Working So Hard for So Little Money
16 Jun 2026 · 6 min
In this episode of the Business Without Burnout podcast, host Kirsten Roldan addresses a common frustration among entrepreneurs: working long hours yet earning insufficient income. She attributes the issue to three core deficiencies—an inadequate team structure, poorly designed offers, and an inconsistent sales schedule. Roldan explains how lacking a virtual assistant or operations manager forces founders to handle day‑to‑day tasks and content creation, draining energy and hurting marketing quality. She then introduces her "bills offer" and "savings offer" framework, urging entrepreneurs to build a recurring‑revenue offer that reliably covers expenses and separate profit‑focused offers that fund personal savings. Next, she advocates for keeping at least one offer continuously open rather than relying on periodic launches, creating a steady income ecosystem that reduces financial pressure. Throughout, she ties each solution back to her "Million Dollar CEO" coaching program, promising rapid implementation (often within a week) and inviting listeners to schedule a sales call. The episode concludes with an announcement of the final launch of her signature scaling mastermind, positioning it as a high‑touch opportunity for entrepreneurs seeking peaceful, profitable growth.
Welcome to the Business Without Burnout podcast. I'm Kirsten Roldan and I help entrepreneurs make a lot of money peacefully. I'm a New Rican who went from working in healthcare while cleaning houses and braiding hair on the side to building a business that's generated over $4 million and counting. But there was a time I almost shut my business down because I had a lot of money but no peace. I managed to turn it around and that's why every week I share the 4 strategies that help you grow without burnout: email marketing, team systems, and mindset. So let's dive in.
Hello, Peaceful Millionaires. Let's talk about how to stop working so hard for so little money. I was talking to a client recently. Well, they just joined the program. They're now a client. We were talking on a sales call and they were like, I just feel like I work so hard for so little. Even though I'm making money, it's not the money that I want to make. And it's like the level of effort is not matching the result here. So I went over Some reasons why she's working so hard for so little money and how we're gonna fix it. And I wanna talk about that today. Now, for you all, if you are in that situation, so that you know how we can help you inside Million Dollar CEO with this. So first and foremost, the reason why you're working so hard for so little money is you don't have the right team. So for example, in this client's case, they had a social media manager, but they didn't even have a VA OBM, right? Like, they didn't even have an operations person. So yeah, they had someone to schedule their social media and give them Reel scripts, but they didn't have someone helping them manage the day-to-day operations of their business. So of course it felt— it feels like I'm doing everything in my business for so little. And then it made her not want to create content at all because she was so tired every day. And then when she would create content, she would just try to push it out just to get it done. Of course, that's gonna impact your sales if you know, your whole day revolves around everything but marketing, and then you have to get marketing done just to get it done. And then the marketing isn't even that good because you're tired, right? I told her, I was like, we need to make it to where the number one and the only thing you have to do is market your business so you don't feel so tired having to do it, right? So that's number one is you don't have the right team. You have people on your team that are not doing the right things as well. Like, maybe you do have someone that can do client work for you. But they only do some of it and you still have to do a lot of it. Or they are like doing different things. I see different things like maybe you are, um, having to create content every single day instead of having a repurposing system, for example, that your OBM runs, like things like that where you are still doing too much. You don't have your team members doing the right things. So you either don't have the right team structure or you don't have people on your existing team doing the right things as well. Well. And so that's gonna make it feel like you're working so hard for little money. Okay? The next thing is you don't have the right offer. Okay? A lot of people feel like they're working so hard for little money because they, A, they don't have the right offer that actually converts consistently and easily. So they feel like they constantly have to like really sell people on the value of their offer and they have to really sell people on why they wanna join and they have to like, they're, I call it Objection Mountain in Million Dollar Email. Like they gotta climb the Objection Mountain. in, right? So of course it's gonna feel hard because you don't have an offer. That's what, what we call a Million Dollar CEO that's elevated. You don't have an elevated offer that makes it easy to sell, right? So of course you're like, it's a constant, it feels like a constant push and a constant stress to sell your offer. But also another thing is that you don't have the right offer structure. Like your offer suite isn't structured to always have your bills paid and always have your savings funded. So a lot of times people will be like, I feel like I work so hard and I barely pay my bills, or I work so hard and I just pay my bills, but I never get to pay myself extra and fund my savings. You need to have what we call in Million Dollar CEO, a bills offer and a savings offer. That doesn't mean you only have two offers. I wanna be clear, we have clients that have multiple, multiple offers, but you need to have one offer that covers all of your bills, and then all of your other offers should be pure profit that fund your savings. So you need to have an offer that covers your bills and is designed to give you recurring revenue so that your bills are always paid and you're not constantly having to work to pay the bills. So for example, generally people will come to me and they're like, I have to work so hard and, and like, I feel like I'm starting from scratch every month. I'm like, yeah, 'cause you're selling intensives. Or yeah, 'cause you're selling rebrands that only last 4, like you only get paid for 4 weeks and then you're done. Or yeah, you're selling VIP days and that's all you like. Yeah, you gotta start from scratch every single month when you do that. Those are not bills offers. Those are savings offers. Those offers should be extra money that you get to make that you put in your savings or you put in your own bank account like that, or extra you pay to yourself. So you need to have the right offers, one that is designed to give you recurring revenue that can easily pay your bills every month. And then the rest of your offer should be designed to be purely profit that goes straight to your pocket so you don't feel like you're always working so hard.
Okay.
The next thing is you need to have the right sales schedule. So I said this in a previous episode. Y'all love to wait for launches to make money when you should always have an offer open, and you should always be selling something. There should never be a time where you're not selling something, right? And so a lot of times I see people will only sell one offer during launches, and that's it. So then all the financial pressure is on every single launch, and then you are working yourself to the bone in those launches to make sure you make money. Of course, you feel like you're working so hard for so little money.
Right?
When instead we want to make it to where, like, for example, even if a launch didn't go well, it's all good, because I'm about to open up another offer, and it's going to be fine. Like, I always have offers open. I have an ecosystem of income that's always able to come in right, and I'm not stressed. Okay? So in order to stop working so hard for so little money, you need to have the right team doing the right things, to have the right offer, and the actual— not just an offer that is designed for conversions, but the right offer suite that's structured to help you have financial peace, and you need to have the right sales schedule. You need to have the ability to always make money. We help you do all of this inside Million Dollar CEO. In fact, we can help you set this up within the first 30 days or even in the first week.
