That's really the best starting point, is getting your own personalized data. It's the baby steps that ultimately compound over time. It's not the all or nothing. It's not the 75-day hard and then you're done. It's like being on the life journey of transformation, being on the life journey of loving your body enough to implement these things so you can truly start showing up for your life. Welcome to The Biohack Method. I am Lindsey Burwell. I break down the science, cut the fluff, and give you real tools to optimize your body with peptides, transdermal patches, and root cause biohacking that actually Welcome back to the Biohack Method podcast. I'm Lindsey Burwell, your host, and today I started incorporating more biohacking tools. So some of my favorite ones— I love red light therapy. Red light therapy is getting ATP energy into the mitochondria of your cells. So think of like all your cells, they have these little batteries inside of it, and a lot of the things that deplete the batteries are the toxins, the artificial ingredients, all the shit we're exposed to. They get depleted. It's like not charging your cell phone at night, you can't use it the next day, right? So ATP We gotta recharge that. Red light therapy is science-backed of doing a great job at doing that. If you've ever even done like a red light therapy over your face and afterwards you're like, wow, my skin looks very youthful and bright, the mechanism of that happening is it's because it's getting those— that energy into the mitochondria of your facial cells and waking them up, bringing them back to life, right? So imagine your whole body in the red light. Red light's been huge for me. Sauna. I am non-negotiable five times a week for twenty minutes because that again is supporting the detox pathways. I also love peptides. I am a huge fan of peptides. I love seeing the evolution and conversation and receptivity of peptides in the last few years. I've been using peptides for about two and a half years, and just seeing that really how it can absolutely transform your body in very specific ways. Peptides really are just branched chain amino acids. These are the building blocks of proteins that are already. Naturally occurring in your body. And the different peptides that are out there will target different areas of your health and of your, your body to basically regenerate them and get them back in their youthful state. So ones that I love a lot— I've tried all the GLPs, I've microdosed on them all. I will say Semma absolutely wrecks my gut, so that one's not a go-to for me. I have loved tirzepatide. Tirzepatide is great because it has the GIP, which is huge for blood sugar and insulin. Retta is obviously the new girl on the block. That one activates the GLP, the GIP, and the glucagon receptor. And so really activating fat burn there. I love a microdose of that. I see huge shifts just in just overall inflammation. And the reason why is because the GLPs, they actually were created for diabetics, and they were created for blood sugar, right? People who had high elevated blood sugar. So if you look though, peel it back a layer, if you think about fat metabolism and metabolism in general and how it's rooted in blood sugar, what happened was biohackers started having conversations about GLPs, not using it for a diabetic perspective but using it proactively to retrain the body to be better at fat burning, regulating insulin, and regulating blood sugar. And so that's really the power behind the GLPs. I believe— my personal opinion is that they are incredibly medicinal when used the right way, with the right diet, with the right lifestyle, with the right approach and the right support. Support. Again, I'm not a doctor, I'm not a prescribing physician, I'm not here to diagnose, treat. I'm just here to share really my point of view based on my research, what I've experienced, what I've seen in other people, and just kind of really sharing that knowledge with you. Other peptides I love— I love right now KPV, Inflamex. Incredible for inflammation. I actually think this one is going to be the next like all-star peptide coming out. It's been around forever, but no one's really talked or used about it because people are usually just used to, right, like GLP or BPC for repair. But KPV is chef's kiss. It is so crazy. The people that I've seen utilize KPV, almost as good results on KPV as a GLP from an inflammation perspective, because it's really turning down like inflammatory like reception and reset, like reactivity in the body. It's calming that inflammation down. And if you think about it, like inflammation really is the driver to a lot of chronic disease. It's like having a fire in your body, and when you have a fire in your body and then you're trying to throw like supplements and all these things at it, it's— the fire is going to burn it up. We have to calm the fire down so your body can work really the way that it was designed. So I think that KPV is going to be like the next rising star for sure. I also really love MT-1. It's a tanning peptide. I longer use any self-tanner. I don't use really any of that because one, my husband hated it. He's like, you're wrecking our sheets, you're wrecking our cold plunge, you're wrecking our sauna with this like self-tanner. And, um, MT-1 actually has some really interesting research too, just in general on inflammation. So I love that one. GHK-Cu is obviously another one really buzzing around in like the beauty world. It's like all the rage for hair regrowth, skin rejuvenation, but there's actually a lot of research on longevity and stem cell production. So that is like one I'll cycle on and off through. And then I would say the other one I love is the Shredder. It's really more of a nootropic with methylated B vitamins. It has inositol in it. It's got some fat-burning amino acids. So I will do that one like before a workout a couple of times a week, and you have to drag me out of the workout because I am like, I'm so dialed. I'm so locked in in the pocket, and it feels— it's a really, really good one. It's like a red nootropic peptide. So yeah, implementing the peptides has been like a huge also part also of my transformation. Obviously the patches, you guys. I used to take literally like 50+ supplements a day, and I used to take pictures of my supplements like a flex and like swallow them for the world to see because it was— I remember actually, it's so funny, I remember, um, literally like talking about the best way to swallow a handful of pills, and it was like to look down instead of up. And looking back on that, and I'm like, wow, uh So I no longer take any vitamins except for prob— a spore-based probiotic, and I take some, um, magnesium at night. And I literally use my patches, the transdermal delivery. I do metabolism in the morning, I do detox at night. If I'm on a high-performing, like high cortisol day, which honestly probably days like today where I'm filming 8 podcasts in a day, I will absolutely use the Cortisol Fix because it's got the GABA, the L-theanine, the ashwagandha, the tryptophan, the magnesium to like regulate, drop in, and help my body get into a good sleep. I also love the energy patch. Like, again, today we're dialed into conversation all day long, connecting, and I— the energy patch just— it's got some good maca in it. It has really good methylated B vitamins, ginseng, which is an amazing adaptogen for energy. So implementing that transdermal delivery has been huge. And then I will say this next one has been so huge part of my transformation journey, and that is really tapping into energy, spirituality, and, you know, quantum physics really. And like knowing and learning that we are more than just a body. We are a very, very dynamic being. We are a soul. We are an emotional being. We are a spiritual being. And so taking like these things that I've done to transform my health over the last 20 years, mind you, I'll, I'll really like pause on that because Everything I've done has been a building block on each other. I never just like woke up one day and just like did everything the next day and like forever stuck with it. In fact, in a preseason of all of this, like I was somebody who was an all-or-nothing mindset. I was someone who would go hard on a Monday and eat the perfect apple and nothing else, and then by Friday drink and binge and start over again the next Monday. I also used to have a terrible relationship with food. I also used to have a terrible relationship with my body. And I remember getting to a point where I refused to do that anymore. And so all the things I'm sharing today has been truly built over a period of like 20 years, 15 years, baby steps, right? And doing things that honored my love for my body and my alignment with my body and just building from there. So if you're listening to this and you're like, wow, Lindsay, you do a lot, just know it's been over the course of over a decade. And so when you're thinking about like things to implement, add, truly just know like starting at the basics is the best place to start. It's the unsexy, most essential place to start, and that is sleep. Getting good quality sleep, getting to bed early at night. It's hydration with minerals and electrolytes. Like literally starting there is a game changer. Adding in high-quality foods, right? Starting to detox a little, like take little baby steps forward. Also maybe get like the lab done. It's not the all or nothing, the not— it's not the 75-day hard and then you're done. It's like being on the life journey of transformation, being on the life journey of loving your body enough to implement these things so you can truly start showing up for your life and experiencing too, like, the fullness that each day has to have, it has to offer for you. Um, so this episode is truly just to transmute inspiration to you, to show you what's possible when you first take your trials, your seasons of suffering as your greatest teachers, to let it reveal to you what you need to maybe shed, what you need to realign with, and just also remind you like your body is so powerful. And there's a lot of mindset work and things that need to happen while you're on maybe the diet and lifestyle change. And there's a lot of great tools out there too.
