Steve Carver of Jumpsport: The Bounce That Biohacks Your Metabolism, Longevity + even Hormones!

Interview (Biohack Method podcast / YouTube) with Steve Carver (Jumpsport). Carver describes rebounding on a Jumpsport trampoline as a multifaceted biohack—activating lymphatic flow, raising ‘happy’ hormones (serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin, adrenaline), protecting or improving bone density (citing NASA research), providing low-impact cardiovascular and pelvic-floor benefits, and supporting mental presence. He also explains a Jumpsport liquid hydrogen hydration product: a pre-measured stick mixed into ~500 ml (16 oz) of water delivering ~5 mg H2 plus mild electrolytes (magnesium, vitamin C, sodium), with rapid absorption (5–15 minutes), cellular effects lasting ~24 hours, and a safety profile that allows occasional repeat dosing. Practical notes: each Jumpsport includes 60 days of programming; rebound sessions of only 3–5 minutes can improve alertness/energy; trampolines can generate up to ~4 Gs to drive lymphatic movement and bone-loading; complementary biohacks mentioned include red light therapy, grounding, acupuncture, hydration and sleep. Links/where-to-buy: jumpsport.com and drinkliquidhydrogen.com; event presence (Eudaimonia) also noted.

Welcome to the Biohack Method.
I am Lindsey Burwell. I break down the science, cut the.
Fluff, and give you real tools to optimize your body with peptides, transdermal patches, and root cause biohacking that actually works. Hi, and welcome back to the Biohack Method podcast. I'm so pumped because today I am chatting with Steve Carver, who is with Jump Sport. And it was so fun. I actually met Steve at the Fit Fathers conference here in Arizona, and my daughters were, like, completely obsessed with his station because he had the Jumpsport rebound trampolines. And after talking with him, I was telling him so many women I work with were always talking about detox and drainage and how important the lymphatic system is. And people will always ask me, well, what trampoline do you use? Right? And so I was telling him and he's like, oh, my gosh, no, you've got to try this one. It has way more g force. And he gave me all the information about what to look for, what it does even, not just with your lymphatic system, but things like hormones, dopamine, serotonin, bone density, even for, you know, pelvic floor and strengthening that. And so it was so fun today interviewing him and really just how he's been a powerhouse behind Jump Sport, the rebounders, as well as their liquid hydration. We go into what the, you know, the whole rage with hydrogen water is, what it does, what to look for, how to utilize it. Truly amazing. Steve has spent years pioneering ways to improve performance, energy recovery, all through movement, all through cellular hydration, and we literally go head dive straight into how something as simple as rebounding can transform metabolism, lymphatic flow, and longevity. And so I just can't wait for you to listen to this podcast. It is so, so good. And listen all the way to the end for a fun little promo for all of the listeners.
Okay, well, Lindsay, it was a pleasure meeting you at the show. And yes, rebounding is an amazing tool for lymphatic flow as well as many other things at which we can touch on. For women specifically or just in general, for general health, for. I don't know if you have a lot of men in your audience, but it certainly is beneficial for. For everybody that wants to use them for a myriad of reasons. So we can start with, you know, the health aspects of it. And just so your audience knows who I am, my name is Steve Carver and I work for Jumpsport Fitness, and we have an incredible line of fitness trampolines and accessories that help you navigate not only the wellness space but also the fitness space and truly believe, and not because of myself, but through many years of hard work as being part of this, of a team of great people that have taken something that was a really cool tool, let's say when I first came on board it was, it was really cool. But now it, it is like by far the number one rebounding tool in the market. So I don't like to call it just a trampoline. It's way more than a trampoline when it comes to that. I've also been a fitness professional professionally for over 30 years. I've trained celebrities, CEOs, I've worked on TV. I've done all the things you think you need to do to be like where people find that what you have to say is important when it comes to physical fitness. So I bring a very unique perspective to things not only from the rebounding space, but also from the health, wellness and fitness space that I've been a part of like pretty much the vast majority of my life. So that's, that's me in a nutshell.
So that's so exciting. So tell me like what got you, you did a lot of stuff in the fitness industry like you said. So what got you started with jump sport and specifically with trampoline, not trampling, but rebound. Like what opened that gate for you?
Well, believe it or not, I was around, you know, when the, the first craze of rebounding, which was called urban rebound, where they took spring based trampolines and they put them in a fitness class because supposedly it was going to reduce impact and it was just a lot more fun and it was a very loud, noisy like thing that was kind of a niche, kind of a market where people that did it were, they were convinced that all this high impact aerobics was killing them. So they were going to find this was a new way. They could still do high impact aerobics but not get all the damage. So I saw it early on. I was also, I did com, some acrobatics. I did stunt work when I was younger and I worked on large trampolines and I did some, some competitive trampolining back in the day when it was not what it is today, which is what these guys do not only by themselves but in tandem in the Olympics is on a whole nother level of oh my goodness kind of thing. Fast forward. I'm in the fitness industry. I'm a trainer to the stars. That's kind of my thing. I'm 20 years into my, my, you know, 15, 20 or 18 years into my career, and I'm on a show called Dud to Stud. I am the trainer. There's. We took two very unfit young men that were really super skinny and what we call skinny fat. Instead of like fat fat, they were skinny fat. So they were unhealthy and tiny and small. And we, our goal was to take them from being like nerds to like tan, hot, studly guys. And it was on. The host of the show was a Playmate and her job was to like groom the guys to be able to go on dates with hot women. So she took them on dates with Playmates and then they spray tanned them and did their teeth. They did a full makeover, like on the beauty side and the etiquette side and clothes and everything else. And I was responsible for making sure that they got fit. And then over a four month period, I was able to put on like 15 to 20 pounds of muscle and change their body fat, you know, 5, 6% down. And they, they went from like 120 something pounds to like 140, 145 pound people. Like, so it was a significant difference in their physique and the way they looked. And they did like the old one with house, this old house where they run through and they'd pull it apart and they'd show the old version and then they crash through the thing and there was the new house and it was all remaked and remodeled and was the same kind of concept with a person.
Yeah.
One of the sponsors on the show was Jumpsport. And I'm like, they're like, you need to use this to train these guys. And I'm like, I'm 20 years into this. I know what I'm doing. And I looked at him like, you. I want to. I need to use a trampoline. What? So I had never seen one that had curved legs. I'd never seen one that adjusted. I didn't know anything about bungee cord trampolines because springs were the thing. And that's all I'd ever known. And I'm like, all right, well, I'll just use it for something. So we were doing training, lifting weights, and then I would bring the trampoline and I'd make them do sprints or I'd make them do squat jumps or some plyometric, some hit some cardio thing while I was doing. So I would incorporate it and I would just became very portable for me. And I thought, oh, this is kind of fun. So I did use it on the show and it was kind of a cool little cardio tool that I incorporated into what I was already doing. And I didn't really think much of it until at the end of the show, they're like, hey, do you want those trampolines? Like, we're just going to throw them away or whatever. They're going to be like, yeah, I'll take them. So here's me, I'm screwing around. I'm playing with them. I'm doing. I'm doing like I'm bouncing off and flying over things and.
Yeah.
Or jumping off and landing on the trampoline and then doing a flip or. And I'm. And I'm putting it on the Internet. So they reach out to me and they say, hey, we would like you to come and maybe do, you know, demo for us at a trade show. And I said, sure. So I go to the trade show and I do a whole demo thing. And the funny thing is, at the end of the show, the trade show director, whatever, she booked her flight too early and she, she left, like at the show was still just had ended and the other rest of the staff is sitting around and one of the other owners of the company there and she left. And I go, well, I'm not going to leave you. So we spent another five hours together and closed out the show. And that's kind of the beginning of my journey. And I always found Jumpsport to be an amazing, like I said, way more than a trampoline. I never thought of it as a trampoline. I thought of it as kind of like a. Like a Bosu ball on steroids.
Yeah, right.
I didn't really understand a lot of the benefits at this time. This is 15 years ago. And I was just thinking, sure, I'll do this. I'll demo, we'll use it for fitness. It's a great cardio tool. I kind of had my own preconceived idea of what I thought it was about. Fast forward. Do lots of study and many years of being and becoming the business and product development director for Jumpsport. I have taken what we had, I've innovated it, upgraded it and found a lot more science about what's actually going on while using this product. And it doesn't necessarily translate to all rebounders, but specifically the jump sport rebounder. Because of the deep, soft bounce.
Yeah.
The adjustable cord system that allows different tensions of bounce that you can use for specific things, whether it's balance or strength, Core wellness, health, bounce like, there's a whole myriad of things that you can use, but you can adjust the tensions in order to accommodate any one of those types of methodologies. And then more science. I started to learn about it. I got into the wellness understanding of why do people love the trampoline so much? And the first thing that stuck out to me was the mental part of it. So you. We talked a little bit about your daughter, and she was introduced to it at a show that we. We met at. And she was always so happy and kept coming back to my booth. And I'm like, well, where's your mom? She's like, she's right over there. She said I could come.
You're just floating around.
She just had a big smile on her face the whole time. I mean, you were right around the corner. It's not like you just left her to go, but she's like, she's right there.
Like, you're good. See you later.
No, but she always had this big smile on her face. And we just kept laughing. We called her smiley at the booth. And the problem. Not the problem, but the thing is that people don't realize is that when you bounce on a trampoline and you put yourself into exponential gravity and zero gravity, so you go compression and release. Compression and release. Your. Your brain's reaction to that is to create all your happy hormones. Serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin. So you're gonna have a big, giant smile on your face regardless of the activity that you're doing on the trampoline. So if you're not feeling that great, you're locked down.
Yeah, that is okay. I had no idea about that. I kind of thought. Because when I use the jump sport, I'm jumping. I almost feel like an inner child experience. Like, I feel like I'm five again. I'm just ju. And I'm free. But I had no idea there was actually science on, like, the dopamine, the serotonin. Like, that's crazy.
And then on top of that, have you ever noticed after about three or four minutes of bouncing, you're like, I feel. I don't feel tired anymore.
Yeah.
Yeah. So your body also produces adrenaline. So, like, I would say three minutes on the jump sport is better than a cup of coffee.
Yeah.
A little sluggish, you're feeling a little low. You get on your trampoline, three to five minutes, and you're like, oh, I don't remember what I was upset about, or I was tired, but now I'm just not tired. Yeah, it's not like Red Bull.
Yeah, right.
Like, you're not getting on the trampoline and be like, my heart's racing. And I'm like that. It's more like I was tired and now I'm not.
Yeah.
I feel more alert. I have a clarity of, you know, thought. And I'm actually. I'm actually happy or I'm not. I'm not upset anymore.
That's so amazing. So what would you say, like, to somebody who's never used one before, like, how should they get started on it? What would that look like? Because I think you guys also have, like, fitness classes. I don't know if they're online or just in person, but what would you do with somebody who's never done rebounding before?
Well, the best part is every jump Sport comes with 60 days of programming included with the trampoline.
Oh, my gosh. That's.
Go in there, you log in, you got. You can do beginner exercises, balance exercises, wellness exercises, breath work. We have people that just use it as a wellness tool. They spend three to ten minutes a day on their trampoline doing breath work. And one of the things about the trampoline that I didn't discuss, too, is that because of the environment that you're in, you have to be present. You can't be worried about grocery shopping or picking up the kids or what do I have to do at work when I get done with my break. You have to be present because you're in an unstable environment, and if you're not paying attention to what you're doing, you could fall off. But because you're in there, you're here. You're right here right now doing this, and then all of a sudden, you're happy. And you don't know why, but you think it's fun, and you're kind of free, and you're like a little kid again. And next thing you know, you're like, oh, I got to go back to life. But that few minutes or that 20 minutes or that hour that you decided to devote to whatever you're doing on this product, you're going to be. You're going to leave all of the world behind, and you're going to be in your own little happy place. And we did talk about that. So one of the things that you said, you feel free and like a little kid again. Yeah, I remember bouncing on the bed and getting in trouble for that. But that's that same thing. So it does take you back to a time in your life where you were carefree, easy and life was fun. And so there is that component to bouncing on a jump sport trampoline that's really important in terms of why you would do it considerably, consistently.
Yeah, totally. No, I think it's amazing. And two, so we talked about, I mean the cardiovascular benefits. Now we know there's hormone benefits too. Right. But what about even like detox and drainage? So I kind of mentioned that I work with women and we're always talking about how important drainage, detoxification and really activating that lymphatic system because we are so hyper exposed of toxins in our world. And sometimes that that exposure can create inflammation in the cells which make you feel tight, feel puffy, even though you might be eating healthy and doing all the things. Right. So do you know a lot about like the science of lymphatic and how it gets activated utilizing a rebounder?
Well, let's talk a little bit about your lymphatic system. And here we go. I'm going to pull in my, my science trainer cap. So lymphatic flow is, is happens for two reasons. And the two main drivers of your lymph system because it does not have its own pump. So it is a one way valve system that's basically like your garbage man. So debris is formed at night and it's left out on the curb. And the lymphatic system is like the garbage man that comes by and picks up all the debris, goes into the lymph system and then it go transported around and then it's deposited and taken to be expelled through your kidneys, your liver, you know, and then it's expelled out of your body through some capacity based on where it was delivered to and how that functions. Now in order for that to happen, your body needs to move that lymph, which is the garbage man that collects all the debris has to go through that one way valve system that doesn't have its own pump. So there's two mechanisms that basically are responsible for that. One is movement. So getting out and walking every day or doing something fun that you like to do, jumping rope, I don't care what it is. Elliptical tread, I don't care if you do any of those things. Moving is the key to everything, right? So trampoline, ideally I would love to see everybody be on a trampoline and get their movement on their trampoline. But at the end of the day, to tell you, to be the honest truth, you need to just move. I don't care what it is, I Don't care if you like to hop on one foot in the middle of your living room. I don't care if you dance. I don't. Whatever it is that creates movement in your life, do it, please. Do yourself a favor. That's going to be beneficial. That's number one. Number two is exponential gravity. And everybody's like, exponential gravity. Well, you know, or grab somebody. Everybody says gravity, but the truth is that's not true because we live in gravity all the time. And if that was the case, our lymph system would just flow on its own and we would never have a problem. But the truth is, one atmosphere keeps us grounded to the Earth. But when we increase gravity, our body has a reaction to that gravity, which is contraction. So your muscular system contracts when you compress your body. Whether it's 2G, 3Gs, 4Gs, and a jump sport, trampoline can generate up to four times gravity, which is one atmosphere or four GS of force, okay? And as a result of that, your body's reaction is to contract from your hair follicles all the way down to the bottom of your foot, okay? So then when you. When you go up at the top, when you leave the trampoline, even just slightly, you go to zero gravity, which now releases everything. So now my muscles release, and I do this over and over and over. And as a result of that, there's two things that happen. It squeezes my body and it moves all of that limp through my system and assists any movement that you're doing to help push all that limp and all that debris to be collected and pushed through and expelled out of the. In the proper channel so that your body functions efficiently.
Okay?
Number two, which we don't talk about very much, is what's the effect? And women experience this especially in peri. Peri. Or menopausal times of their life where they have bone density loss. So you. You. That same contraction exerts a force on your skeletal system that promotes bone growth. And I know that because the NASA study that everybody uses, and they talk about 37, 50%, 60% more effective than running and this. And that was discovered because they were looking for a way to rehab astronauts that had been in prolonged space and had bone density issues and find a way to rehab them without causing bone breaks or stress fractures. And as a result of that, the happy accident was that they found that the muscle recruitment and all the other things that go along with bouncing on a trampoline are far more effective overall than running on a Treadmill.
Wow.
But it didn't have the negative impact of effects of the ground.
Yes.
So they were able to do cardio. They were able to do other things. And the compression would actually. And the muscle contraction added to bone growth. Great cardio. More muscle recruitment, core work. All of these happy things that came out as. Which wasn't the primary reason they were experimenting with this and why it was so successful and. But everybody extrapolates one little line from that, which doesn't really give you the true picture of what was accomplished with NASA. And using trampolines as a way to rehab astronauts from prolonged space exposure.
That's amazing. So, like, I mean, I feel like it's almost like a magic pill. You got the hormone regulation. It's supporting. It's the cardiovascular. It's the bone density. There's just, like, so many benefits just to the rebound. And I love, like, even mine. I'm looking at mine right now. The jump sport one. My kids every day are like, why is it in your office? It should be in my playroom. They think it's like a toy. And I'm like, you could play with it, but this is for mommy. Kids, like, truly, they just think it's like Disneyland. But I want to also talk about your. The liquid hydration or hydrogen. So I was using a hydrogen water bottle forever, and I just felt like it was. Yes. So like, take and travel, you know, all over the place. And so when I found that you have an actual liquid hydration, like, pack that you can take so much easier than packing on the water bottle. I want to hear how you got into that and then all the benefits. Benefits of it and even, like, I don't know if you know, what would the comparison be of utilizing, like, your pack versus using, like, a hydrogen water bottle?
Okay. So we can get into the whole hydrogen and why that's important and how to. Okay, I'll start with the jump sport. How do we get involved in this? So Jumpsport is really proactive about making sure that we have not only a great platform that the trampoline, whatever, however you want to look at it way more than a trampoline. But a jump sport in general is a great platform, and we always wanted to try to improve the experience. So we have handlebars, we have kits that turn it into a sled. It's usable, stacked. We have accessories like a ring and a bar and, you know, felt or fabric thigh bands and glute bands and all these other things that can improve your experience on a jump sport. In Terms of how you can approach using this in whatever capacity that it's important for you. So I always wanted to to I'm very big pro pro person of biohacking, and I like to think of Jumpsport as a bio stacker. Right. So not only do you get the lymphatic flow and the bone density, which we didn't even talk about, pelvic floor, which we can return to, that was another benefit that women would be really interested in using. Your jump sport is going to help help tighten your pelvic floor in that process.
But okay, quick pause. Because I need to tell you about something that is literally changing the game for metabolism, energy, detox, and even your immune system. You guys know I don't like to waste my time on gimmicks. And also, after seeing so many clients that are just tired of taking the pills, not knowing if their body's even absorbing it, and transparently trying to help my kids detox from all the toxins, I just needed a different approach. And that's why I created the pack patch method. These are transdermal supplement patches, which means no pills, no powders, no gut breakdown. Literally, just stick it on and let your body absorb exactly what it needs. Whether it's detox, metabolism, energy, or like I said, even your immune system, we have a patch for it. It's truly biohacking made simple. And the best part, you actually feel the difference. So if you're ready to level up your health routine, make it so, so simple. Head to the Patch method.com and grab your patches. Trust me, you will never look at supplements the same way again.
I thought, what would be it? We need something that's going to help people not only be able to do their workouts, but then recover from that as fast as possible in a convenient, healthy taste. Good. One of the things that it's really important is the flavor profile. And we should have a couple new flavors pretty soon. But right now, we started with lemon. And it was really important to me that not only that it was good for you, but it tasted good too, right? That you would have a great recovery tool. And one of the things that happens when you do a lot of cardio or you're doing your exercises is that you dehydrate and you lose fluids. And most people think, I just drink water. And unfortunately, if you don't replenish the electrolytes, then it's really a kind of an uphill battle in that process. But we thought, well, there's a lot of electrolytes out There why would we just want to throw out another electrolyte? And we found a great delivery system which everybody was into the hydrogen water in the water bottles.
Yeah.
And we can talk a little bit about the difference of what a hot water bottle or this delivery system that we, we are offering and why it's different and what's, what's the important component here. But just to start on any hydrogen water is going to be good for a couple of things. Number one, it's good at post recovery in the process of your body repairing itself. And there's, there's science that backs this. It's a great anti inflammatory. So across over 200 disease models, you'll see the anti inflammatory prospect properties of hydrogen at when it's introduced to you in the proper dose and it's, and it, you know, you take it and you get you know, a therapeutic dose of it over time and you use it on a consistent basis. You see it a huge anti inflammatory property to hydrogen. The, the most important thing that hydrogen does is that it does what we call cell regulation. Because it's such a small molecule. It's easy. It doesn't need a channel. Every other thing in your body needs a channel to get into a cell. These cells have a lipid, a lipid like membrane. And water has to go through what we call aquaporum. Proteins have to have a protein channel. Everything has to go through something in order to get in the cell. It has to go through the gate. Whereas hydrogen just diffuses right through that lipid membrane and doesn't need a channel. So it, it can easily transmute into the cell into the nucleus. And they don't completely understand the mechanism by which this happens. But what does happen is you have what we call cell regulation. So it's not an up regulator or a down regulator. It's think of it like a thermostat for your cell. So it brings your cell back to optimal function, whatever that is at this time in your life. So there's many factors that could cause decreased function in cells. Let's say you were going through some sort of treatment because you have cancer or something and your cells aren't going to be as efficient as they would be if they were super healthy. But let's just say for the sake of thing, you've got a fairly healthy person. You take hydrogen in the proper dose, it's going to bring your cell back to proper function. So it's one of the primary functions is regulating cells to homeostasis or as close to homeostasis as possible. And why is that important? Well, if your cell functions properly, it's more. All the other nutrients are more readily available. Bioavailability of anything that you eat or drink is going to be more well received within the cell to be able to help it function and perform the duties that you're trying to accomplish. Right. Whether it's your vitamins, whether it's the food you eat, whether it's. It's water you drink. And I could go on and on. Right. So we're trying to get the electrolytes into your body in the most effective way. And hydrogen is one of those things that allows the cell to be. To be optimal and create the best bioavailability. So why is liquid hydrogen so great when it comes to, like, aren't there other hydrogen things? Can I do this? Can I do that? And I say, absolutely. So let's talk about the bottles first. Okay. First of all, it was a big craze, and then it kind of died off. And the reason that is is because they. You have to be very careful when you're using electrolysis that the electrodes are made with the right metals so that you're getting the, the actual reaction that you need. There is degradation over time that if you don't clean them consistently, that you can get lower and lower amounts of hydrogen. And so the bottle is a process and it requires a lot of work and it requires research to make sure you bought the right bottle. And I, again, I'm a proponent of if you get the right bottle, and that's your thing. God bless you. Absolutely. Drink hydrogen every day. It was amazing. I am a big proponent. So. But it also takes a lot of time. Like a bottle can take up to 20 minutes to generate the maximum amount of hydrogen in that bottle. And then you got to carry it with you. And is it the right dose? Because when they talk about parts per million, that's not really dose.
Yeah.
Right. So If I get 10, 10 parts per million, that's per liter of water.
Yeah, I was wondering about that. I get asked a lot, like, what's the parts per million? How much should I be looking for? And so that's, that's interesting to know. It's per liter.
Okay. So a therapeutic dose is between 1 and 3 parts per million.
Okay.
Okay. So 1 to 3 milligrams of hydrogen gas, H2. So we're not confused. It's not hydrogen by itself.
Yeah.
And it's not one of other five different isotope hydrogens that are not good for you. It's just an inert, not, you know, non polar hydrogen. H2 looks like, it looks like two little circles with a bar in the middle. And it's just an inert gas that we've used since the 1930s that is really beneficial to you if given in the proper dose. So that bottle, if, let's say most of Those bottles are 12 to 16 ounces and it say it's 10 parts per mil, we'll just make it easy math.
Yeah.
Even in a 16 ounce bottle, which is half of, you know, or let's say 500 milliliters half a liter, you would have to divide that 10 parts per million in half. So even in a 500 milliliter bottle, you're still only getting 5 milligram dose. Now let's say it's 12 milligram or 12, you know, like 300 and 25 milliliter bottle. So now you got to do some more math. And now we're down to like three point something milligrams of hydrogen, which is still a therapeutic dose. But it took me 20 minutes to get to that point.
Yeah.
And I gotta charge my bottle, I gotta clean my bottle, I gotta do all these things in order to make sure and it takes a lot of work and I, God bless you if that's what you want to do, because I know people that do it, they carry that bottle on with them everywhere they go. And it works really well. We have given you a very convenient application. It comes in a little stick, it's pre measured. You take 500 milliliters of water or 16 ounces, approximately the same amount. You pour it in there, you swirl it around, you wait about 20 to 30 seconds, you drink it and you get a 5 milligram dose of hydrogen plus a very mild electrolyte formulation. That again tastes great.
Yeah.
Telling you right now, this, this kind of application is available in like you see, tablets.
Yeah, I want to know about the tablets. Yeah, you can do it.
And it's the same kind of technology, but we have refined that to be able to add an add on. So it's like Reese's peanut butter cup. You already like chocolate, but now we're going to add a little peanut butter to make the experience even better. Right. But we're going to do it together. Otherwise I'm carrying a jar of peanut butter and a bar of chocolate and I've got two things and I tell people all the time, okay, you got your water bottle, but now I got a separate water bottle to put my electrolytes in and now I gotta drink 2 liters of water and I'm like, oh my God, I'm sloshing around. It's just not really.
So it doesn't even matter with your sticks. Like if you just even put like a cup of water with the liquid hydrogen then you're gonna get the 5 ppm. It doesn't matter like how much water.
No, this is pre mixed so that you would mix it with 500ml or 16oz. It's just like one of those little plastic water bottles.
Okay.
So it's, it's, it's definitely a doable thing. Now mind if you don't drink it all at once. That's okay. Let's say you only drank half of that. You still got a therapeutic dose of hydrogen.
Yeah.
And that, that water bottle is you has a half life of about 90 minutes. So let's say you don't drink the rest of it for another 90 minutes.
Yeah.
You still got another one point something. So you're still way over the therapeutic dose of hydrogen.
Okay. Time frame that you needed to drink it by, for some reason I thought you needed to drink it right away.
Best, it's always best if you can mix it and drink it. So if you drink it within 20 minutes of stirring it up, you're gonna get approximately 5 milligram dose of hydrogen. You're gonna get 80 milligrams of magnesium.
Yep.
We have, let's see, what's magnesium. And we got 80 milligrams of vitamin, vitamin, 50 milligrams of vitamin C. And we got 220 milligrams of sodium in there.
That's awesome. Is there like a recommendation on how or like a limit on how many people could drink in a day?
You know, I tell people whatever you feel comfortable with, I generally drink one. Some people I know drink two. I, for me, I use it as a post workout kind of recovery tool. So I work out once a day. I drink it once a day. There have been times where I worked out in the morning and then I had a very busy day. And in the middle of the afternoon, instead of drinking a cup of coffee, I drink a second one. Yeah, that's not harmful. You definitely want to. If you drink one, you don't want to. Okay, let's, let's talk about how hydrogen works. So if you drink your hydrogen water, let's say you drank it in 20 minutes, you got your 5 milligram dose and you got it all in you that 500 milliliters and we're good to go. It enters your system within five to 15 minutes. So it's in your system all the way from your head to your toe. It goes into every cell and it's out of your system within an hour. So that's how small it is. It's in and out. But then they're like, well, if it's not in my system anymore, does it still work? Yes. The, the effect of it being in your system for that hour is going to last for 24 hours.
Wow, that's amazing.
So do you need to take it more than once a day? Most people know.
Okay.
Can you take it more than once a day? Yes. Here's what I'm gonna tell you.
Not necessarily the more the better. Like, it's not like, okay, I had my therapeutic dose, but now I'm gonna double the therapeutic dose to get even more of a dose. It's not like necessarily more is better, it's just more. So maybe consistent.
Okay. I'm gonna tell you the honest truth. They don't really know what more is. Better, not better. What I do know is that you take. It's safe.
Yeah.
So that's the real key here. So if I take more, is it going to ever be harmful to me? No. Divers have used up to 90% hydrogen as a breathing thing over many hours during deep sea diving and with no known side effects.
Yeah.
So that's the real key to when you. Do you want to. Can I overdose on it?
Yeah.
Can I take too much of it? Is it going to be detrimental to me at some point?
The answer is like, let's say, you know, somebody has like a chronic illness or they're super inflamed or maybe coming down with like the flu or Covid or whatever. Like if maybe doubling up on the dose to get more hydrogen, more oxygen into the cells could be like a time where maybe it'd be really beneficial.
Well, look, I, I think people are, as a general rule, are very hydrated in general. They probably don't take enough electrolytes or certainly hydrogen as a general rule.
Yeah.
So just getting a therapeutic dose and getting people to be consistently take it once a day I think is really kind of hard to do anyway. Like having somebody take something every day and be consistent. As I said, I was a trainer for 30 years.
Yeah.
And just getting clients to do simplest things on a consistent basis isn't always the easiest.
Yeah.
But no, if you have a chronic illness and your doctor believes that this would be beneficial to you. Absolutely. It's safe to take it more than once a day.
I love it. I also love, like, you've been in this industry for so long, and I love that you say, you know, I love biohacking. It's all thing. It's literally the women that I work with. This is why the podcast is called the Biohack method. We love all things biohacking. I am so curious, Steve, like, because you've been in this industry so long, where do you see the future of, like, health, wellness, biohacking, maybe even fitness in the next, like, five, 10 years, especially with, like, AI or maybe people wanting to utilize different modalities, like the rebounder, if you will. Like, do you have any sense of just based on what you've seen in the past and maybe what you think might be forthcoming in the future?
Well, you know, there's. It was always, always asked once to tell people, what's the. Like, you've been in the business for so long, what's the best way to exercise? What's the best this, that, or the other thing. And everybody's an individual. Here's what I found after 30 years of being a trainer. Like, there's no one program for everybody. There's no one program for just women. There's no one program for just men. Yeah, there is. I take a look at what my lifestyle is, what I'm trying to accomplish, where I'm trying to go, what am I? Just a busy mom running a business? Running after two children and a husband? Like, is that my life? And how do I train for that? Like, so you got to come up with a program that fit. Number one, fits into what you're doing.
I love that.
Number two, you have to. You have to like doing it.
Yeah.
I don't care if I told you tomorrow. And I'll just use trampolines as an example. That trampolines are the. Will be the greatest thing. And you're like, I will never jump on a trampoline. So it doesn't matter that that's the best exercise. What matters is the one you'll do.
Yeah.
And we talked about, like, motivation is something that gets you started to do things. Like, I'm motivated to be fit, and that motivation only lasts. It's got a big, giant spike to start, and then it falls off very quickly.
Yeah.
It's really about determination and doing the boring stuff. Everybody wants what happens at the end. Nobody wants to do the boring stuff to get there.
Totally.
I always tell people it's like any journey, it's one foot in front of the other. So every day you're going to make progress. And I don't care if it's an inch or a mile, but as long as you make progress moving forward on something that you will do.
Yeah.
Then that's the important thing.
Like it's like, you know, everyone has goals, everyone gets excited at first, but our brain hates change and it craves comfort and safety and pleasure, right? So like when we go off in the world, we're trying this new workout, we're using the jump sport, whatever. And then like a week goes by in our butt and our brain starts creating a lot of drama. Like, this is not worth it. See, you're not doing this X, Y and Z. Like our brain is always the one to pull us back to the cave, right? And, and that's where so many people have these aspirations to change and evolve and biohack and become their best self. But they get stuck in the same hamster wheel because it's truly our brain. So if you can overcome that. And I always say too like getting here and you get this, Steve, like you put in the work, right? Like getting to where you're at right now. It wasn't free. It wasn't because you just sat around like you overcame. Objection. You overcame probably mental drama of like, man, we don't need to work out today. No, I need it with my body because I know it's worth it. I know afterwards I'm going to feel great and it's going to me in the direction I want to go and the feeling that I want to have and the person I want to become, you know, And I think so many people aren't thinking of their future self and they like succumb to that pleasure driven brain of like, no, just sit down and have some bonbons.
Well, let's, let's talk about complacency and how that fits into your life. And I'm going to tell you as somebody who has been a competitive athlete since I was 12 years old. I was competed in sports and did everything since I was a kid. It and being a trainer for long periods of time, you have to have something that continues to drive you and have goals about what you're trying to accomplish. And don't get me wrong, over the, over the course of my career, let's just use that. I've had many a moment where I was burnt out. What else could I possibly do? I've done it all. I was an elite like ultra marathon runner. I climbed mountains, I did competitive trampoline I body to extremes and there were many times where I just didn't have motivation. But the end goal is what is your health worth? That's there's two things in life that you can't get back. Time and your health. So where you spend your time is really important. And you'll never get your health back and no matter how much money you have because look at. I'm going to use Steve Jobs. He got cancer because he didn't take care of himself and he couldn't buy his way out of it. So never forget that if you want to live your best life, I don't care what it is, you better take care of the one body that you was given to navigate this lifetime.
Yeah.
Okay. Whatever your belief system is, it doesn't matter. The truth is you can't get it back if you lose it. It is a fact, a hard fact.
I love that is huge. That statement needs to be on everyone's mirror like their wall tattooed, whatever. Like what is your health worth? Like that statement alone is so powerful.
So let me give you a few tips of my favorite things. And I won't give you brands necessarily but I love red light therapy as one of my biohacks. So I'm a firm believer there's lots of science behind why red light therapy works with anti inflammatory and just it stimulates its hot heat shock proteins. There's all kinds of cool things that happen in your body by using those kind of tools. I'm a firm believer in using the trampoline for not only lymphatic flow but also just general wellness as far as health and low impact. Just a great way to center yourself and refocus. Get out in nature. My. I'm a big proponent of touching the ground, taking your shoes off. I don't if you're not. If you're. You're a little uncomfortable with putting your feet in the dirt. Put them in the. Put them in the grass.
Yeah.
Connect. Reconnect with the earth. You know the resonance of all of that is going to help you in terms of just calming your system and discharging negative energy into the ground that you're grounding yourself like what you do with your house light switch or your house is grounded. Everything else is grounded. But we are an electrical. We. We create an electrical current and if we don't discharge that negative energy, we carry it with us. That's another thing that I think is a great thing as far as a consumable. I use liquid hydrogen every day. I'm a Big believer in hydrogen and electrolytes as a, as a part of your life on a daily basis, whether you work out or not. We always say what is works with every lift in life. Right? Whether it's exercise, you know, what is it, your cardio, your weight training or just life in general. You know you're going to feel the lift if you use the jump sport liquid hydrogen product. But as a general rule, that's one of my other biohacking things I love also I think hydration and sleep. So if those were, if I could just give you a few little things that would really change your existence Again, you want to make sure that you exercise, move ground. I like red light therapy. Other people love cold plunge and other things. I just have a hard time first thing in the morning jumping into a bucket of ice. So like. But it's okay if that's your thing then you should do that. I mean that, that is a very popular thing right now. Exercising, like I said, drinking lots of water, hydrating properly and sleep I like. Here's my little tricks of the trade kind of biohacks from Steve.
That's so amazing. Okay, so Steve, to wrap this up, two things. One, where can people find you? Where can people get their hands on a jump sport rebounder, some liquid hydrogen. And then two, what does your most biohacked self look like? I love to ask all my guests that question. What does that feel like? What does that look like? So share that with us.
Well, I'm going to share something with your followers so I. You can find us@jumpsport.com you can scroll through there. You can look into the trampolines that you can shop trampolines or accessories. You can also get it the liquid hydrogen@jumpsport.com or if you just want to go for the liquid hydrogen, you can get it@drinkliquidhydrogen.com so there's how you can find it. My, my best biohack self ever. I kind of feel like I am that now. Like I'm going to share with your followers. I'm 62 years old. I've had double hip replacement. I used the trampoline five days post recovery on my first surgery. Within six months I climbed a 14,000 foot mountain. I do exactly what I shared with you. I sleep good, I drink a lot of water, I try to take care of myself, I get out in nature, I exercise. And that just means move.
Yes.
Do what you like to do.
Yeah, right.
I do a little red light therapy. Occasionally I will go in and this Is my other secret weapon is acupuncture. I'm a firm believer that opening up energy channels on your body helps your own body do what it needs to do in order to recover. And then again. And I told you, I drink liquid hydrogen every day to stay hydrated. So the hydrogen component, as well as the mild electrolytes, unless. And one last little thing about that. We didn't put a lot of salt and a lot of these things because I don't think you need a lot of that when your body is optimal.
Yeah.
So the trick here is to be able to find something that you can use on a consistent basis that's not going to have an adverse effect to you. And again, like I said, find your own bio stack. Like, what works for you? Is it a patch? Is it one of your patches? Is it trampolines in patches? Is it liquid hydrogen in a patch? Yes. No, trampoline, like, whatever works for you, because you already do some other type of activity that you love. But find what works for you. That's the secret to having a good biohack is that it's very personal.
Oh, my gosh. I love that. This has been seriously one so powerful, so much education, you have, so much experience you bring here. And I like, can't wait for everyone to listen and just binge on all of this. One more side question. Are you going to Eudaimonia? Are you going to be there in Florida? Is Jumpsport going to be there?
We are going to be there. We're going to be there with liquid hydrogen and jump sport. And we're going to have, I think, five sessions that they can try the trampolines. Yeah. Come to the booth. They can bounce. They can. They can. They can enjoy a sample of liquid hydrogen. We have a. We have a fun game where we spin the wheel, we give away prizes.
Yeah.
Buy it things. We. We cover it all while we're there. I think the show is the best. The 13th through the 17th, right? 14th through the 17th.
Yeah, we're gonna be there too. So I'm gonna come over. I'm gonna come find you. I'll come patch you up. We got some new patches in, so.
Awesome.
I'll make sure to come find you when we're there. I love it. Well, thank you so much. Thank you so much for your time. This is going to be so powerful for my whole community. And I just can't thank you enough for coming on board to the biohack method podcast.
Well, thank you so much. And look, if anybody wants to have more, Steve. They can if they're at the show, Please stop by. Yeah, I'm happy to continue and answer any questions that people may have in the future. And if you. If your listeners actually send in questions and you want to reach out to me, I'm happy to answer them and you can share them with your. Your. Your listeners, however you want to disseminate.
That you're the best. My kids also will be at Eudaimonia, and so they're not going to be finding your booth first, I'm sure.
Well, I'm gonna get her a little badge and I think I'm gonna put her to work. So she's selling those trampolines.
She would be your best salesperson, honestly. All right, well, thanks again. Enjoy the rest of your day, Steve, I'll see you here in a few weeks.
