What if the reason your day feels completely chaotic, heavy, or just off, and what it has nothing to do with your schedule, it might just be the thoughts that you are allowing to go unchecked through your brain. The moment you wake up, before you even touch your phone, your brain and your thoughts are going to work to figure out how you're gonna show up for that day. And most people never interrupt that pattern. So today I'm gonna give you a complete brain reset that completely reshifts your energy, your focus, your priorities that will literally change your life.. So let's get into it. Welcome to The Biohack Method. I am Lindsey Burwell, and every week I break down the science, cut the fluff, and hand high-performing women the real tools like peptides, transdermal patches, quantum energy, and root cause biohacking to actually feel like themselves again. Let's get into it. If you have been watching me on Instagram, you've seen that I kicked off this really fun 21-day No Stimulation Walking Challenge. And I did this because I started noticing that I was intaking a lot. I was listening to a lot of podcasts, a lot of audiobooks, sound frequencies, music, a lot of advice online, and I wasn't creating enough space for my own inner wisdom to come through. And it was creating a lot of really like restriction and contraction. And so I started implementing a really like a brain reset. And for me, it's in the form of going on a walk for 20 minutes with no stimulation. But before I did this, I, I actually did it in the form of a thought audit. So you can really take this into two ways. And why this is so important is because our brain has 60,000 thoughts per day on average, and 90% of those thoughts are subconscious thoughts that we are literally not aware of. And that they are the ones that are ruling our life and basically creating like the reality and the results that you have today. And so if we do not pause to audit these thoughts and get in alignment what thoughts we wanna have, then that is where you're gonna live life whatever life throws at you and not live a life by design. And attention truly is the most underrated biohack. And if you're into manifestation, it starts with perception, truly. The fastest way to change your light is to change your thoughts. So the first thing you can do is in the morning when you wake up, do not touch your phone. Literally do not touch your phone. I want you to get some electrolytes and some minerals, right? We want to remineralize our body before we get started for the day after we've been sleeping. I like to get some red light going. If you have red light, I think that is so powerful to get energy and ATP into your mitochondria, into your cells to really wake up. Your cells for the day. Um, with my thought audit, I will grab a journal. So what I want you to do is for 5 minutes, just literally brain dump all the thoughts that you have going on in your day. And these, these could be ugly. These don't have to be these pretty thoughts, and they can be, you know, anything that comes up. You just wanna get these thoughts out of your head, out of your body, and onto paper. Once you've done a thought dump, then you wanna audit and look at those thoughts. Are these thoughts in alignment of who I want to be, of who I'm trying to become, the values, belief in the person, in the woman, the mom, the friend, the business owner that I want to become? If those thoughts are not in alignment, then you need to say goodbye to those thoughts. Truly, one of my favorite quotes is that thoughts are not facts. Truly, And I used to believe that thoughts were facts. I would tell my husband, I think this, therefore it's true. I feel this, this is true. This is a real thing. And although you, yes, although yes, you are really feeling this and thinking this, you actually have full control though over changing that thought. And I'll back up even more to share that the things that we can't change, the things that we don't maybe have control over, maybe in the moment, is our circumstances. So our circumstances would be things we can't change, like maybe the house we live in right now, or our parents and the family we were born into. Maybe it's the color of our hair right now, um, but our thoughts about our circumstances are the things we can change and that we can take that power back in control. And so a serious biohack that you can do is that thought audit, that thought dump in the morning, to shed and look at any of those thoughts that are not serving you, not in alignment of who you want to be and who you want to become, and to clear the way and shift to thoughts that you do want to believe and that you do want to have. And here's something else that's very powerful. Our brain does not know the difference between thought and fact. So our subconscious brain literally thinks whatever we think is actual fact. So if we are going through our day and we're thinking thoughts of lack, scarcity, my body is inflamed, I'll never be able to lose that weight, something is wrong with me, my kids are so crazy, my husband X, Y, and Z, then our subconscious is going to go to work to prove those thoughts to be true because it doesn't know the difference, right? And our brain doesn't care about making us feel good. Our brain only cares about proving us to be true. So what thoughts you have are what your brain will go out into the world to bring in to prove your thoughts to be true. And that is why it is the greatest biohack literally to audit your thoughts and to choose the thoughts you want to have. That is literally getting your power back. So start your day with a thought audit, thought dump, and then audit your thoughts, right? I want to also talk about this no stimulation walk because again, we are living in a world, in a culture where we are consuming all day long. And consuming can be nice to get ideas and maybe get creativity flowing. But ultimately, our inner knowing and inner wisdom is going to come from inside. And if we don't create space for that clarity to come through, we will never get those downloads. And so, like I said, today was my first time doing this because normally I wake up and I grab my phone, go for my walk. I'm literally looking at my notepad. What do I need to do today? I'm planning things out. I'm answering texts. I'm just kind of like multitasking, right? I, I love a good multitask. It literally gives me life to maximize my day. But I gave myself today to go on a walk with literally nothing. And I'm going to tell you what, the world was so beautiful. It was the most beautiful morning. I felt so grateful on this walk. I loved everything I saw. Genuinely, I felt so alive. I felt so in my body. I started asking myself questions. I started thinking about the things I really I really started asking, you know, what brings me joy? I asked myself, how could I make today so fun? And it was just like beautiful to witness my brain do this dance on this walk with no input, literally no podcast, no music, no audiobook, no sound frequencies, just me, myself, and my thoughts. And it's also funny to like be an observer of your thoughts because you realize My gosh, my thoughts are like monkey thoughts. Literally, they're all over the place. And it's also funny to see like how sometimes it— how or how easy it is for our thoughts to go negative, right? And I have learned to really give myself grace on those negative thoughts. Actually, we'll even back up to share. I don't know if you know this, but I actually spent $20,000 in— I think it was probably 2020 to become certified life coach. I actually went to college prior to that. Um, I graduated with a psychology degree because I really loved the study of the brain. But I quickly realized like, oh my gosh, I actually don't want to counsel people all day. I am such an— I'm an empath. At that time, I didn't have the tools to like create boundaries with my empathetic heart. I really would take on other people's emotions. And I was like, if I sat in a counseling office all day with everyone who is suffering, I would walk away suffering. And so I just kind of knew that about myself and knew, you know, that might not be the career for me. And so I moved forward and, um, did some other things, but I've always loved it, loved the study of the brain. I've loved personal development. I love understanding like expansion, manifestation, all of that. And so when I was at a time in my life, I was working at corporate America in healthcare. I really, after 10 years, hit a wall of just knowing like this is not my purpose, it's not my passion, this is not where I'm giving value. And changing frequencies, and it created a lot of internal conflict, internal restriction. I was not performing well at the job because I literally didn't want to. I was a shell of a human, and that is always the biggest sign of misalignment. And so finally, I shut down my ego and took the leap of faith to leave that. And where it took me was to dive into life coaching. I at the time was following Brooke Castillo. Her work was changing me. It was breaking my brain, learning that thoughts weren't facts. Like, that was literally a brain-breaking thing for me because I always felt for sure like my thoughts are true. And there's no other thought I can have, um, and that my feelings were true and that I was— I also was like taking on everyone else's emotions. Like if my husband came home from work and he was like stressed, it would like ruin my day. Like, thanks for being stressed, you're literally ruining my day. I didn't have the tools to like create those boundaries, like I said. And so I was so invested and interested in learning the skill— the skills of life coaching and to be able to help, um, life coach other people. I didn't think I wanted to do as a career per se. I knew I wanted it for myself and how I should showed up for my life. And then I also wanted it for my family, my children, which is so nice because like now with my daughter almost being 10, like we're always talking about our thoughts, we're always talking about our beliefs and our emotions and, um, taking our power back and things like that. And so the study of the brain is so powerful. And going back to knowing like our brain doesn't know the difference between like thought and fact, and so we can actually take our power back by regaining what we decide we want to think for that day. And this no stimulation walk for me was— I mean, you guys, I'm doing it for 21 days, so join me, please try this out. And please like message me online because I want to know. I want to know. I want all my girlfriends. We are all going on a walk. I want to hear what, what did you experience? What came up for you? You know, and again, like it can get dark and that is part of being human. Humanity and, and living in this life, like, it, it, there's duality. Like, we're gonna have good thoughts, bad thoughts, but just becoming aware of those thoughts and allowing space for downloads to come through is just part of the journey. And so that, that is the greatest biohack you can do is create that space for that clarity, for those downloads. The other things I like to do for my brain is really protect what input I am bringing in. Okay, so we have access to a lot of shows, a lot of music these days, a lot of podcasts, a lot of things, a lot of social media. You need to protect that input, protect your frequency, to protect your energy like a billion dollars. So you need to stop listening to anything that is not in alignment with where you want to go and who you want to be. You need to delete and block the people from your social media that are not in alignment of who you want to be, what you want to achieve, the purpose you have here on Earth. If it doesn't bring you light and love, get rid of it. Block it. Literally protect your energy. I think of my energy as this like aura around my body. Protect it like a mama bear, like a Seriously, like it's worth a billion dollars 'cause it freaking is. And then think about like, what books am I listening to? Are these life-giving books? Does it inspire me? Does it make me wanna show up for my life in a greater way? Does it make me wanna take care of my body? Same with podcasts, right? Like we have that control to control the input. And I, in the moment, even I go into a room and I feel the frequency off or a conversation with a friend, I will truly walk away because Heaviness, gossip, negativity are some of the lowest vibrating frequencies that the universe could, like, care nothing about. It really repels that. But joy and love and gratitude and life-giving, the universe loves that frequency. Literally, it will come storming in to give you what you need. I also like to think of it as like our thoughts are like a garden. And I want you to water what you want to grow. Do you want the weeds to grow? Do you wanna water the weeds, put more energy and attention into the weeds? Or do you want the flowers to grow? The beautiful thoughts, the beautiful things, the beautiful people, the beautiful friendships. That is gonna be so essential. The other few biohacks that I do for my day is I love red light therapy so much. I think that when you can turn off all the blue light, that just blocks everything in your body and bring some red light, some things that are more healing and neutral and harmonizing. That helps me get into more flow. I also do love sound frequencies. So you could actually go into Spotify and search sound frequencies. There's so many, and it'll, it'll guide you. Like, you need detoxing, clearing, cleansing, alignment, um, heart opening. You know, there's so many great ones. So search sound frequencies and find one that your body, you feel like your body is needing right now. And that is totally a huge biohack for me. And outside of the morning time routine, like sometimes I make a— take a midday pause too and like bring in that Sound Frequency to get back in alignment, turn my brain back on. I really do love the Energy Patch because it has some great nootropics for focus. It's got the methylated B vitamins as well. And so when I need to get dialed into a project, if I have— if I'm performing for something or if I'm just like, you know, I am kind of low energy that day, I love the biohack of transdermal vitamins. I love instead of taking like an Alani Nu or an energy drink, which I do not love at all, I don't respond well to those. I will just get in with the energy patch and it's actually just been like the perfect little tool to give me that focus, that dial-in. I'm going to share with you something that you might get a little judgy with me on, but, you know, full transparency in my authentic just self right here. Something that I'd actually recently tried is microdosing nicotine. So there is nicotine patches out there. Transdermal delivery that will do a slow steady release of not tobacco but actual nicotine, which the studies that are coming out about that for cognitive, um, focus, even like supporting, um, the decline of dementia, Alzheimer's, is really fascinating to me. And so I love like an altered state, and, and I love getting into flow, and I'm very open to trying things. That's something about me that I'll just be fully transparent with, is I love to try things that is backed by research, backed by science, and I just feel aligned with seeing how my body feels on it. And so I have tried some transdermal nicotine patches, very low dose, literally 1 to 2 milligrams. And those are very powerful little biohacks that you dialed in. So my challenge for you this week, I want you literally, number one, to start your day with space. And that can be in the form of a thought audit. And a thought dump, or maybe it's a no stimulation walk. And if you are down with this challenge, I want you to seriously DM me online, Kay Lindsey Burwell Wellness. Let me know. I also like want to hear like how— what is coming up for you, like what is inspiring you, what is challenging you, what felt heavy. Like, these conversations is everything. Connection is everything to me. That is why I love bringing people together for experiences, whether we're doing a live workshop or we're having a celebration or collabing with like a med spa, whatever. I love bringing people together. I think connection— we are, we are communal beings. We need each other. We are not meant to do life alone. And so when we can get together, connect, and harmonize, it's so powerful. So if you are down for this challenge, I want you to go to my Instagram, send me a message. I want to hear how the walk goes or the thought audit goes. Let's be on this journey together to optimize, to biohack our brain, and reset our brain so we can be in alignment for the purpose-driven life we wanna live, for that woman we wanna become, for that health, for that vitality, for that friend, for that wife, for that ultimate version of yourself that you dream to become. I'm so happy you are here. See you next time. That's it for today's episode of The Biohack Method. If this lit something up in you, share it, tag me @lindseyburwellwellness, and drop a review. It genuinely helps the show reach more women who really need it. I'll see you next time.
