Hello everyone! Welcome back to day 2 of our Organized 365 Madness. We are gonna find out our second set of 8 products that are moving into the Sweet 16. Just to recap yesterday, the Sunday Basket, which is our number 1 seed, handily beat out the Portable Sunday Basket. However, the Portable Study Baskets have been staying around and they do seem to interject themselves into almost every game. I don't know how they quite do it. The Launch Binder won over the Warrior Mama Binder. Both of these products are for kids. Only 40% of you are actively parenting at home during this time. Embrace, Embrace was an upset there. We have Embrace Live or Embrace Virtual. Embrace Virtual beat out Embrace Live 2 to 1. That was quite a bit. Quite an upset of a game. We have the Sunday Basket Club and the Sunday Basket Workshops. The Sunday Basket beat out the in-person Sunday Basket Workshops in those small groups. You guys love meeting with the team and doing your virtual Sunday baskets in the app on Sunday for 90 minutes together. Then we had the Workboxes and the poor Teacher Workbox. I mean, she just didn't have a chance. She was so beaten down over the last 2 years. She's in— don't worry, we are loving on her. We're going to rename her the Education Workbox. She's coming back strong next year, but this year it was the year for the Business Friday Workbox. The Workbox Planner, the big Workbox Planner beat out the small subscription planner, which is free. So I don't know how that happened, but it did. And then when we got into the planning day for your work or your home, Home beat out work 3 to 1. It was a huge landslide there. And then finally we had the little notepads, the little 3 by 5 notepads that act as index cards and the little lined pad. That was an exciting game. If you missed it, you can go back and watch the replay. But today we're going to be looking at these 16 products. They're going to go head to head and we're going to have our second set of 8 leading us to our Sweet 16. Join me. Thursday at 3 PM in order to see our Sweet 16 games play off down to our Elite 8. So let's get started up here in the first part of the bracket. Today we have an interesting, an interesting couple sections on the bracket. 2 complete sections of the 4 that we're going to look at are completely free products. These are things that cost you no dollars. You can just take advantage of all of this content that Organize 365 provides. The books, which we'll get to in the second round, those are all $12, a nice low price there for some good edited content, some good meaty content. And then we're going to end with those Essential Binders. What are they and which one is going to win that section of our bracket? So starting here at the top, we are going to talk about the Blitzes. We have 4 free Blitzes here at Organize 365. In the first round, We have the adult spring break blitz, which we just ended last week. You can go to organize365.com/blitz and still get these printables. Join us in the app. Go ahead and go through this. I know some of you haven't had your spring break blitz yet. You haven't had that deep dive into a project that you want to do. This is for anyone, anywhere in the world. You don't have to have kids to have spring break. Like, we adults should be able to have a week at home be able to get a project done. We just completed this one last week. It is going head-to-head with one of our oldest blitzes, which is the, uh, Back-to-School Blitz. This has been a fan favorite for years and years and years. Again, you don't have to be going back to school as a kid. It's fall. It's time to get a haircut, get a new pair of shoes, have your doctor's appointments. All of us need to prepare for the fall. This blitz happens the second week in July, and then there is a replay the last week in July because we don't all go back to school at the same time. This game, Back and Forth, really surprised me because the Back to School Blitz, I mean, this is a fan favorite. People love doing this. Once they do the Back to School Blitz, they just feel so prepared to send their kids off to school, and they personally feel prepared for their productive fall. And the adult Spring Break Blitz, I mean, to be honest, she never was clearly defined. People don't really know what it is. We don't do it all at the same time, so sometimes we lose some of the momentum. But putting her into the app this year must have been the thing that tipped the scales because she won. She beat out the Back to School Blitz. I can hardly believe it. I would have never guessed. If you had me fill out this bracket, I would have never put This Adult Spring Break Blitz beating the Back to School Blitz, but it did. So let's put it up on the board and let's head on over to our end of the year blitzes. Now these blitzes are always a Monday through Friday experience. We're doing them inside of our private community app now. We're not doing them on any— anyone else's platforms. We're doing them all inside of the Organized 365 app. The very first blitz Organized 365 ever did Was this out with the old blitz? The out with the old blitz happens between December 26th, which is Boxing Day, one of my favorite days, and ends on January or December 31st. So it's that last week of the calendar year. It's when you want to declutter everything that's not breathing, and sometimes the things that are breathing as well. Just saying. So this is when you want to totally declutter your house. First blitz we did. 6 or 7 years ago, but we stopped doing it, and we stopped doing it because I didn't want to go live the day after Christmas or on New Year's Day, but this year we recorded the videos, brought this back, everybody loved it. This one, the Holiday Blitz, we do this one the first week in November. It is amazing what happens when you spend 5 days really thinking about the foods you want to eat, the places you want to go, the people you want to be with, The gifts you need to buy, all of those things, the decorations you want to put up in the beginning of November, planning it out, making a plan, asking your family before they're staring at, you know, advertisements and seeing what the neighbor is doing is so powerful. It allows you to really, really enjoy your holiday. So it is no surprise that the Holiday Blitz beat out the Out with the Old as the blitz of choice. So, when you tune back in, we're gonna have the Spring Break Blitz, which is riding high on the momentum coming right off of their Blitz ending last week, against the Holiday Blitz. Who do you think is gonna win the next bracket? I don't know. You can find out more about those Blitzes by going to Organize365.com/Blitz. Put your name on the waitlist for the Back-to-School Blitz. It's free. We will email you the printables and get you signed up right before July when you're ready to get started. Now in the next section of our bracket, we have the Organized 365 books. And I want to tell you a little bit about this bracket before we get to the head-to-head competitions. First of all, we have our number 1 seed in this category, which is The Paper Solution. She came out in the summer of 2020. She's had multiple PR teams work on her behalf, 2 New York Times articles written about her. I did a full book tour last summer for The Paper Solution. She is produced by a New York publishing house. I mean, she has a hardcover, traditionally published book. I mean, these are self-published. She's not afraid. These are self-published books. These haven't had tons of editors. They didn't have, you know, a New York graphic designer. So she's coming to the court, she's pretty confident. She knows that the information in here will help you handle all of your paper. Sunday baskets, binders, if you can make them yourself, she can help you do it. These guys, they're coming out of the court and they're like, you know, and you may feel this way, we have good ideas in us. We have really good ideas in us. Uh, we've been edited kind of, and, and we've been thought through. We're more, we're more organized than just a couple podcasts or a couple of lives. We have really good ideas. And we were created, yeah, maybe in 6 weeks each time. But we, we tell a good story and we feel that we, we deserve to play. We deserve to have our story told out there, especially if these relate to you. So you may not be able to solve all of your paper by reading us, but you know, we try really hard. So our first little book that we have here is The Mindset of Organization. This is the first book that I self-published in 2015. This is all about how different generations look at their stuff differently, and you go through 4 phases of life. Stuff that I noticed as I was in-home professionally organizing here in Cincinnati, Ohio. It's available on Audible. It's available in Kindle. It's available in paperback. And, uh, it was no match for The Paper Solution. That's all I have to say. It's been around a long time. Has some good ideas in there from the original podcast episodes. It's really good on generational thinking and understanding the generation above you, the generation below you, and how those generations look at stuff differently. But the message, it's been out there a while. She doesn't have the same heft that The Paper Solution does. So The Paper Solution will be moving on to the next round. Now the next 2 little books, uh, this is gonna be a tighter competition. As soon as I realized that I could self-publish my own book, I could get it out there, I was like, okay, well, what do I really want to talk about? I really want to talk about how ADHD affects home organization. These houses that I was organizing, the majority of the women either had ADHD as a diagnosis or thought they had ADHD as a diagnosis, and it was really hurting their self-esteem. In addition, my own kids at the time were diagnosed with ADHD. I was working with Springer School and Center And I knew how ADHD and the executive functions of the brain affected your home organization. It's a tiny book because the audience is for people who have ADHD. And so I wrote this book on a whim, put it out there. It is the top-selling book that I have written myself. Last year I had a little bit of, not a fear of missing out, but— FOMO. Imposter syndrome. I had imposter syndrome because this lovely beauty who has all the PR teams behind him, New York Times articles, etc., etc., etc., was born in the height of COVID as we all know. So I didn't get to do my book tour. I really wanted to do a book tour, so I did it in 2021, but this book was a year old at the time. So in order to do a book tour, I wrote another book because I just thought if you don't have a brand new book, you can't, you can't do a book tour. And I didn't have an idea for another book except the idea for this book had been in my heart for 8 years. And this idea is 10 years ago when I was turning 40, I quit my job, I came home, I started Organized 365, and I, uh, was depressed, I was overweight, I was overwhelmed, we were in debt. I mean, I was married, so that was good. But other than that, there was not much going well in my life. And this is the story of that year, of 2012, in my life and how I used the organization that I knew as a child to take back my home and take back my life and start Organized 365. To be honest, I didn't even know if one person would want the book. Like, it's just my story. But oh my gosh, you guys, this book, this book Crushed how ADHD affects home organization, and she is moving on to the next round. And I will tell you this, I will tell you this, she is a story of how you have a story to share. And when you share your story with other people, uh, they can get behind it. We love to hear about other people's stories. There's a lot of practical, applicable things you could do in this book, but mostly it is identifying with someone else who was disorganized and how I overcame that, and the times when I was crying in the closet. This book, very tactical, very how-to, will definitely get your paper organized. This book will make you realize you are not alone. We have all been where you are. So it will be interesting to see. What are you guys gonna vote? What are you gonna vote for these? Once they get to the Sweet 16, I don't know. I don't know. All right, next up. I love this one. Oh my gosh. So this is our podcast category. Now I've just got to say, uh, as the announcer, I'm realizing that, uh, we have a couple of categories for Organized 365 Madness that did not make it into the competition. None of our courses are represented. The Productive Home Solution is not making an appearance. There has been some, you know, emails sent to the commission about how some of our main products cannot be in the contest. All I have to say is, hey, we're just getting started. Wait till you see what we do next year. So we have here in our podcast category, which I would like to bring out the award that Pat got me from the flea market when we hit 12 million downloads for the Organized 365 podcast. I keep this In my office. You know, my mom asked me when I was growing up, when I was asking her so many questions, if I was writing a book. And let's just say I've written 4 of them and also recorded a bazillion trillion podcast episodes. And what is the funniest thing is that Organized 365 has almost 15 million downloads. The podcast is 7 years old. I love telling my story. I love talking to you about the mindset of organization, how to get organized. This, this competition, 99 to 1, you guys voted for the Organized 365 podcast. It wasn't even a competition. Like, the Professional Organizers Think Tank couldn't even get their shoelaces tied before the podcast was like, you're done. You know what? You guys don't even know what this is. Raise your hand if you even know what this is. What is this? Raise your hand if you know what this is. There's not even any hands going up. You know why? This podcast is so old. When I started Organized 365 as a podcast, like 5 months later I started this podcast. And a little Easter egg for you, which is totally not a basketball term, there was a podcast before this podcast. I did a whole other podcast called Successful Direct Sales the summer before I started this podcast, just to make sure I knew what I was doing before I started the Organized 365. 5 months in, I started the Professional Organizers Think Tank podcast. It still exists. You guys can go look at it. This one has about 20 episodes, and it literally walks you through step by step how to start your in-home professional organizing business, how I did it, what I did it, when I hit different revenue markers. If you like this podcast, this one would just be like a free audiobook on the side if you want to go listen to it. So the Professional Organizers Think Tank podcast Has been around for a long, long, long time, but nobody knows, so she's out due to obscurity. And the Organized 365 Podcast, I mean, 99 to 1, you guys, 99% to 1, she's definitely moving on. I mean, that Sunday Basket didn't even have those kind of numbers. Couldn't even get their shoes tied. So the plan this year is to move more of the Organized 365 Podcast episodes into podcast playlists like we did with the Business Workbox. So you'll be seeing more of that in your podcast player coming soon. Next up to the court, some more free resources for you, just like the podcast. I mean, hours and hours and hours of listening time. Hours, days, months. It takes people months to listen to the back catalog of the Organized 365 podcast. Here in this bracket we have The new to the game starting last year, research studies. These research studies came, you know, into their own last year, and they're going up against the master classes. I've been doing webinars, master classes for years, a way to deep dive into one topic. If you go to organize365.com/masterclass, you'll see there's a really old master class there about the Warrior Mama binder. If your interest was piqued about that yesterday, it's a couple couple years old, but it's not outdated. We're still advocating for our kids in the same way. So we've got the masterclasses, about 50 to 60 minutes of a free resource deep dive on one topic. Right now we're promoting the Your Most Productive Year Ever masterclass. It's free. You can go there, download it, watch it on demand, and figure out how these products will work together to get you organized. And then new are our research studies. Last year in January, we did research about what is housework. Oh my goodness, we're gonna have to have a minute here. We're just gonna have to have a minute for an announcer to tell you about the definition of housework. When we started out on this research, we realized that you have to define every single word when you do a research study. Ready to launch it to the audience, and then I asked the team, What is housework? What do you think housework is? Work that's done at home? 'Cause that's what Google thinks it is. Google literally thinks housework is work that is done at home. My 4th grade teacher would not let me use that definition in a writing assignment, no way. So I came up with my own definition, 'cause lots of podcast episodes, also lots of new words I've created. So housework is cleaning, tasks of daily living, maintenance, And organization. We did a whole study on defining work as those 4 kinds of work. Who's doing the work? I wanted people to say women were doing all the work. That is not what we found in the research. You're gonna have to look in there to find out more. At the same time, we did the weight of paper. Do we have paper? Are we gonna be paperless? Do we need to organize it? Spoiler alert, millennial men are the most interested in organizing paper. And they see the Sunday Basket and binders as their solution. Coming to the court next year will be the new research that is coming out in the next 4 to 6 weeks. So what do you think? Research or the masterclass? Research or the masterclass? The nerd in me wants it to be the research. The practical in you guys wants it to be the masterclass. The masterclass is moving on. Research. To the next round. We are down to the last 2, the last 2 to move on to the Sweet 16. And this, I'm just gonna tell you, these games are close. These games kind of pull at my heartstrings a little bit. I don't, I don't want any of these products to get knocked out. They're so essential. Like, they are the 4 essential binders. We have Household Reference against Household Operations. We have the Financial Organizing Binder against the Medical Organizing Binder. And even just saying it hurts my soul to say that one binder would be against another binder. I mean, we're all on the same team here. This is the whole Organized 365 team, but it is Organized 365 Madness, so we'll just need to carry on. First, We're gonna look at these 2 binders. These 2 binders: Household Operations, Household Reference. Most confusing! What's the difference between the 2? Why do you need them both? Well, I'll tell you. The Household Reference binder is everything you need to take care of your house as if it was a person. If you were to think about the dwelling that you live in— your house, your condo, your apartment, your mobile home, your boat, whatever you live in— As if it was a separate entity that needed to eat and sleep and be clothed and be maintained. What would you need for that person? That is what the household reference binder gives you. It has a maintenance log. It has, um, it has your improvements that you do. It has everything that you get from the realtor when you buy a house. It has Well, boy, Lisa, what does it have? Everything about your home appliances, your electronics that are in your house, what color paint you have on things, how many— how much mulch you need, all of those things. This is where you actually put the parts of the appliance manuals that you're going to keep. They go in here, not the whole manual. Here's a little announcer tip for you, by the way. You don't have to keep your whole manual. You can rip off the front page, which will tell you exactly what it is, and the page that gives you the serial number, and then you can hand that to the person that's gonna help you do it. Unless you fix your own appliances, which I do not, you don't need any other parts of the manuals. They're all available online. So that is the household reference binder. When you sell your house or your condo or whatever, you can hand this to the new homeowner and you fill out a new one for you. The household operations binder is completely different. This is for the people that live in the house, the people that live in the condo, the boat, the whatever that you're living in. The people that live in that dwelling need to have care taken of them. I have a grandson at my house, so there are babysitter sheets in here. We have dogs, so there are pet sheets in here. Vacation sheets in here. All of your holiday is in here. Your cleaning schedules, your meal planning and prep work. All of those things. It is like a teacher's lesson plan book for your house. It is the thickest packet that we have that goes inside of any binder. All of our binders come like this. They come with printables and slash pockets and covers, and inside of the Productive Home Solution, they come with digital downloads that are editable, and there are so many pages. It's hard to flip through them now. What do you do when you have guests over? What if you're planning for a party? Let's see if I can flip through these. This is just the holiday section alone. Just the holiday section alone. Meal planning, different meal ideas. I just give those to Greg, by the way. General household maintenance. Infrequently used task instruction. Things that are borrowed. All of it. All of it is inside of the household operations binder. So how do you pick, like, the support you need for your family or the support you need for your house if it's a person? I don't know how you pick one over the other, but I will say we do sell a lot more of the household reference binders, and that is the binder that won the competition. Next up are the original binders that I made back in 2018. When we launched the Sunday Basket, we actually created these binders in 2017 as a digital download, and that is the financial— or the medical and the financial organizing binder. You need a medical and a financial organizing binder. Your parents need a financial and a medical organizing binder. These are the binders that help advocate for you when you cannot advocate for yourself. These binders, when created, are the gifts for your family members in order to stand in as your power of healthcare, to stand in as your power of attorney, to eventually settle your estate, to have at their fingertips all of the essential information that is needed when you need to care for someone else and also for yourself. Like when you are in an emergency situation, when you're having an unexpected event, which is Inevitably going to happen, you need to have this information at your fingertips so that you can use all of your mental power and all of your emotional resources to care for the people around you and process through all the changes that are happening as fast as they're happening. Not trying to remember what is your password to log into this, what was your last blood count number, what, you know, how many different 401 places do you have. Like, that's not how you should be using your brainpower at that time. These binders were created after life events that we're all gonna have. Like, we're all gonna have unexpected events. We're all gonna end up sick at some time. We're all gonna be taking care of someone who's sick at some time. And we're all eventually going to need somebody to take care of our finances and help support us. So how do you pick? Like, like, I don't even want to watch this game play. I just want to say that everybody needs these and we're going to move on. But That's not how sports work. There always has to be a winner and there has to be a loser. Vote online if you're watching us live. Who do you think— which binder do you think more people voted for, your medical health or your financial? Which do you think it was, medical or financial? Do you already know? It is the financial binder. The financial binder will be moving on to the next round, but before we let the medical binder go, If you listen to the Organized 365 podcast, you know we've had many medical professionals come online and tell you your medical records are not all online. They're not all online. If you think 20 years worth of your medical history is online, it is not. You do want to make a medical binder. So before we're going to let this exit off of the court, we really want to bring that home. All right, today, Erin, I didn't throw in very many of my, uh, My references, there wasn't even a flag on the play and I was totally ready for it. You should know, Erin did some research for me and she gave me a list of actual basketball terms and I said it's funnier that I don't know any of them. I also had Greg watch the first game yesterday of the Sunday Basket against the Portable Sunday Basket. He went like this. And then when we got done I said, You don't have to watch the whole thing, Greg, but you really, really have to watch the little notepad against the lined notepad. I had him watch the whole thing and he was like, you said they came on the stage. You said that. It's a court, Lisa. It's not a stage. I said, Greg, it doesn't matter. I've got flags. We've got stage. I do know that there is paint. And I'm telling you, when this Sweet 16 comes back to become the Elite 8, We might have some paint action. Thank you so much for joining me. I'll be back at 3 o'clock on Thursday. We're gonna narrow this down to the elite 8. Tomorrow. No, Thursday. Tomorrow? Maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow? Yeah, 'cause we changed it. Either tomorrow or Thursday, I'll be back. All right, bye everybody. He got stuck. Bye, guys. Tomorrow? Wait, isn't it tomorrow? No, it's Thursday because I am doing a live— I'm, I'm doing an ADHD webinar tomorrow. I can't do it tomorrow. Okay, I guess— okay, you know, you're right.
