She had a box of items waiting for weeks, and fearing her son would notice the work, she waited until the family left. Once alone, she opened the box, spread its contents on the counter, and set out to complete a year's worth of organizing in just four days, outlining her initial steps and the motivation behind the rapid decluttering effort.

It worked out perfect because my daughter and husband were going to go to Disney and we couldn't take my son there, too hot and all that. And I just couldn't do it with his issues that he has. So I said, hmm, perfect time because he goes to daycare. I'll have the house to myself. And so I think I did a year's worth of organizing in 4 days. I got the box like, I don't know, 2, 2 or 3 weeks before they left. And so I just kept it there, which was killing me because I didn't want him to know that I had done this. So I, as soon as they were out the door, I'm like, yes. And so I ran and I opened my box and, you know, I put it all out on the counter and I'm like, okay, what do I do now? What do I do first?
