I feel like all of us are in the phase of asking ourselves, is my life aligned with what I actually want right now? And have I stopped and given myself time lately to say, is this what I actually want? Hey, everyone. Welcome back to the show. It's time for another quickie, because there's always time to fit in inspiration. And I have to tell you that we have had friends at our lake house a couple of weekends, and they are obviously our friends, so they're also big, glossy fans, but not just because they like glossy. But truly, it was really cool to stay with friends for the weekend and see how they actually use it and sit and say, okay, pretend you're not my friend. Like, pretend you don't have to, like, make me happy or whatever. Not that you have to. If you are my friend, please don't think you do. In fact, please challenge me. Not too much, but a little. But I was like, what do you love about it? And one of the biggest things was drinking it at night because it makes them feel lean in the morning. Like, they feel like they're not bloated. Especially, you know, we were having cocktails while we were here, and some of them were having chew at night. And there's just, like, really one of the coolest, most exciting things to hear these different groups of friends, like, discussing why they love it and how they use it and, like, their partners talking about, like, how they fight over things. And I'm like, this is so cool that you guys are literally fighting over a product that, you know, we created out of a need of our own. So, you guys, if you have not tried it yet, and you want to feel this way, too, which, by the way, prickly pear, which is in Glo, has been used in a lot of hangover, like, supplements. So when you buy different hangover supplements or things, like, if you're drinking, you want to feel good the next day. A lot of times there's prickly pear in it, so, you know, there's that, too. Not promoting, just telling everyone that might give you a little bit of help, especially just hydrating and all the things that helps you hydrate. So go check it out at getgloci.com G-E-T g L-O-C-I.com I feel like a commercial. Like, I get to go back to the 80s when I loved, like, all the little jingles and commercials, and you get a 25% off coupon code for being so freaking epic and being a listener of earn your happy. So grateful for you. Okay. Been in a place where I feel like in my life and in my really close relationships, there has been a lot of shaking up. There has been a lot of people's relationships either getting shaken up or things changing or people moving or big shifts happening, or big energetic shifts happening. Not going to share too much because obviously everything is currently happening, but really big, deep convos with my girlfriends and the closest people in my life. And I was just talking to a friend and she had explained it as she said, you know, I feel like we all made, like, these rash decisions which weren't like, necessarily good nor bad, or maybe they were good for the moment. Like, we all made these, like, knee jerk decisions to go and do things in Covid or right after Covid, because that time in our lives that we all lived through together, which is so crazy that we all lived through that together. And, like, that alone should bond all of us as human beings to go through that together. But it really made everybody a little more clear on things. And not just that, not everyone. That wasn't everyone, because there definitely were people who had just shook shit up for them. But I think it brought a lot of clarity to people like you, the listener who's into personal development and maybe needed that, like, hot second from the world to just take a beat and let things kind of stop and go. Is this actually what I want to do? Am I actually in the relationships that I want, Am I actually going to the places with the people that I want to be with? Is this a relationship that's going to last? Is this a relationship that's going to work? And I know that you guys heard all about those different couples in your life on tv. All the things where it was like, whoa, this was a really revealing time for people because you were alone with your partner, you were alone with your thoughts, you were really reevaluating life in the way that you were living it. And so my girlfriend said, I think that 2024 has been all about kind of recovering from those knee jerk reactions now, even though the knee jerks felt very necessary. It was like a lot of us made really rash decisions or like big life decisions or big life moves, whether that is like our career, our home, where we live, all of the things. And 2024 is kind of coming back to center and going, okay, that's what felt good at the moment. But I also made it really quick and I made it like, I don't want to do this anymore. This showed this to me. Now I want to go over here. So 2024 feels like kind of reevaluating and cleaning up the decisions we made, like, asking ourselves, is this still right? Does this still feel good? Like, I have a lot of friends who moved to Austin. I have a lot of friends who moved to Nashville, and they're asking themselves, is this actually where I want to be, or do I want to move back to California, or do I want to move somewhere else? And, you know, Chris and I did the same thing. We moved to Arizona, and we were like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Is this where we actually want to be? Or was that really good for a time period during this whole shakeup in the world? And so, you know, when she said that, I was like, that's really interesting. That may or may not be, but that does feel true for me. And so a couple of girlfriends, I was just voice noting back and forth, seeing if they felt this way as well. And I feel like all of us are in the phase of asking ourselves, is my life aligned with what I actually want right now? And have I stopped and given myself time lately to say, is this what I actually want? Like, am I living in the area that I want? Not everybody gets the luxury to ask that, But I do think that you can, and I do think you're never stuck. Is this the relationship that I want? Is this the friendships that I want? Is this the career that I want to continue down? Do I want to keep this program that I launched? Do I want to keep this event that I launched? Do I actually want to write that book that I had thought about doing? So reassessing your energy right now and going, giving yourself time to just sit and, you know, the other day I.
Went out on the porch here.
We're at our lake house in Wisconsin. And I feel like when I'm here, I actually, believe it or not, even though it's, like, very serene and we're in nature, I'm always with people. And as much as I love it, I don't stop and listen to myself. Like, I don't give myself time to think when I'm here, because we're always with friends or family. And so I went out, I got my little yoga mat, and I put it on this porch that I love out there. And I was looking at the water, and I just laid down. I'm like, oh, my gosh, nobody's here right now. I'm literally gonna take 40 minutes. That's a lot for me. I'm like, add.

I'm going to take 40 minutes, set the alarm on my clock, and I'm gonna close my eyes. I'm gonna meditate, but not really even meditate. I'm just gonna ask myself, what do I want? What do I want for my life? And let my brain go wild. And so I did that for 40 minutes, and I was like, oh, my God. Hello, there you are. Talking to myself. Like, there you are. You have desires, you do have opinions, and you have things that you wanna push towards and move towards, but you're just not. Because you're in the inertia and momentum of life. And while it's not super big things, because I do try to tune myself in pretty frequently, it's also really easy to get away from that. So I think right now, something that you could do is give yourself 20 minutes. Try to find 20 minutes any time of the day, even 10. My God, if you don't do. If you don't do this much, 10 minutes is gonna make a difference. But I do think it can't be done, like, while you're driving, meaning, of course you can't close your eyes, but just like, oh, I have some time while I'm driving. I'll ask myself this. I think it really has to be laying down. Close your eyes and ask yourself this question. Like, tune out the world. Try to get somewhere where there's not a lot of energy happening around you, maybe where it's a little bit more peaceful. And just ask yourself, what do I want? Like, and don't be upset at the answer. Let the answers go crazy. Like, oh, my gosh, I didn't realize. I actually think I want to go to Japan in the next year for a vacation. I think that would be super enriching. I didn't realize that one of my biggest goals is to go live in Europe for a month or go live in Italy for a month or see if I can learn how to speak Spanish or Italian. Like, just these little things that get you excited about life again. Because when you don't want for something, you kind of lose a little bit of hope. And some people might think, okay, that's a little weird. I think you should get to a place like, isn't enlightenment when you don't want for anything? Maybe it is. I don't want that life. I always want to be excited about reaching for something or excited about something on my calendar that's just the life I wanna live. And once in a while we can get away from that and be like, I'm not excited about anything. Maybe. Cause you don't know or you don't dream or you don't think about it, but this was really powerful for me to go and do. And just what do I want in anything? Anything. It doesn't even matter. Vacations, job, partner, friendships. It could be tiny. It could be. My God, I didn't even realize I wanted to take a pottery class, like, so bad. Right? Like, I want to go ride horses. Like, go get a few of those things and light yourself up with excitement around. Oh, my God, my life would feel so much more exciting if I did stuff like this. So let me know if you do this. Let me know what you think. And I'm so curious if you're kind of in the same space that I'm finding myself in and my girlfriends in. Okay, you guys, let me know. DM me. I'm on Lori Harder at Instagram. You know, I love to hear from you. It's like my favorite. And I'm so grateful for all of you who wrote me about my questions about the podcast, and I had a bunch of you write me. I'm really, really just like, oh, my God, people actually wrote. So let me know if you try this and even share something that you're excited about. Sending you guys so much love. And until next time, earn your happy. Bye, everyone. Sam.
