F*ck Your Feelings, Do It Anyway!
23 Oct 2025 · 18 min
Lori Harder talks about pushing through anxiety while fundraising and scaling her company Gloce. She shares her history with panic attacks and offers two concrete fixes: make a detailed plan and schedule time to think, like a sound bath, to regain clarity when fear takes over.

Action is going to bridge that feeling of chaos to clarity, you guys, because action cures anxiety. Doesn't mean it's easy, but it is possible. So you guys fuck your feelings, but with compassion, and do it anyway. Because you are allowed to feel everything, but you're not allowed to quit. Hey everyone, welcome back to the podcast. It's time for another quickie because there's always time. Time to fit in, inspiration and talk about quickies. I am fitting this in right before our elite entrepreneur mastermind that is starting in two hours. So I need to record this podcast and go through one more practice round of what I'm going to be talking about tonight. Because I'm running something for 45 minutes and you know, I just, I need to be present right now here with you about what we're about to talk about. And I'm really excited to see everyone in that mastermind because it is like one of the most up leveling experiences for everyone involved, including myself. So it's such a place of expansion about what we talk about in our businesses, about the speakers that are there, about how we show up, about what we want, about huge unapologetic goals. This is for people 500k and above and a lot of people are at that seven figure mark or above. We do have some eight figure businesses in there, which is super exciting as well. And it is such an expansive experience. It is going to be Monday through Thursday and I am just prepping myself for it right now. And I love being in this room with these people because nothing has up leveled me faster than being in Masterminds. And let me tell you, it doesn't end when you run them. I actually think there can be even more room for expansion when you run them because you're like, holy shit. I have to show up like really big for these people and just like hold all of this energy in this space. So here we go. We're about to go do that.
We're about to get ready.
I'm currently sitting here still in my jogging clothes, but before that I want to chat with you about something that's up for me this week. That's actually been up for me for like the past two months. I've been feeling a little stressed out, a little anxious. I'm having those like 3:03am Wake ups again because there's just a lot that I am expanding into in this current season of what I'm doing with my personal brand, but especially with Gloce. I am in a fundraise right now for Glocee to just pour rocket fuel into this marketing machine that we are creating and with this team that we hired and really moving forward on scaling this business. And there's just, like, a lot involved in the money that you are about to put into marketing and the testing and the risk and the data and all of the fun things. And I love it more than I can possibly tell you. And it's also some of the biggest things that I've ever done. Like, I'm going all in on a company, and if you want to have a reward, you have to go all in. And also, being in a season of raising money is absolutely a season where it's not comfortable. You're getting on the phone all the time and you are pitching and you're talking to people and you're talking about the thing that you're most passionate about. And. And I'll tell you, even though it's uncomfortable, it's been the best expansion ever. And I'm actually obsessed with it because it's become this thing where I'm like, okay, well, I know that this is my life's, like, mission, and I know that I am here to work on this company right now and to sell this company. And I think when you get to go and share that with people and expose just, like, your heart and your intention and really get honest and vulnerable with what you want to do and how big your dreams and your visions are, I think there's no more powerful way for you to grow than to have to go through this experience. So if you're called to it, I highly recommend it. And also, get fucking ready, because it's next level. And I would not. Like, you couldn't pay me enough money to give back the woman that I have become in this process. So with that said, it's like, I resonate in different seasons with different people. And I know you feel this because sometimes I'm like, oh, I need, like, you know, someone kind of soft and to tell me to slow down. Although I don't know if I've ever really been drawn to that. If I'm being honest. Like, once in a while I'm like, okay, let's figure that out. But right now, I'm super drawn to, like, you know, Gary V. I'm really drawn to, like, Layla and Alex Hermosis, kind of their messaging on social media right now. And one of the things that's coming through for me that's, like, been awesome. That has actually been really helping me is just hearing them say, fuck your feelings. Do it anyway, because in this season, I feel like I absolutely have been noticing, you know, some anxiety. And I've been noticing like, oh, this is uncomfortable. And I'm like, okay, that's valid, that's real. But fuck your feelings and do it. Do it anyway, because this is what you've done, always done. And if you're listening to this podcast for the first time, or if you're someone who hasn't known my backstory, I grew up in a super religious household, going door to door, didn't graduate high school, had panic attacks, could hardly even speak in front of people by the time I was 20 because I just had such a bad experience with a couple things that happened when attention was on me that I was like, okay, mom, never gonna, like, put myself in a situation where I am front and center attention again. Because all it does is make me feel like I'm gonna pass out and gives me massive panic attack. Fast forward 10 years after that and tons of coaches therapy, you know, working with every possible person you can imagine trying to get over the anxiety and panic attacks so that I could speak and do what I had always dreamed of. I still feel fear. So I'm still really into this message because it's so valid. So I want to remind you, you can still feel anxious and take action. You can still feel sad and you.
Can show up, right?
Because feelings come and go. But the results are going to come from consistency. They're absolutely not going to come from these feelings of like, I'm so inspired. Oh, my God, I just feel so good right now. I'm having the best week. While those are so fun and awesome and a lot of ideas and energy can come from that, they are not consistent. So when Layla says, fuck your feelings, do it anyway, I don't hear, ignore them. I hear, don't let them drive. Like, don't let them be the driver of what you're doing. Feel them, thank them, but get back in the driver's seat. Because the moment you let your emotions dictate your actions, you're giving your future away to these temporary fucking feelings. That probably came from social media, that probably came from a post, that probably came from a fear that someone was saying something that they were saying passive aggressively about you or whatever it's coming from. So I have been getting those little anxiety flare ups lately, and every single one of them has been tracing back to a lack of clarity and a lack of stillness in my life, like a lack of listening. So I want to explain so the areas that I have A plan. I feel confident, I feel grounded, I feel proud. I'm even noticing that, oh, I didn't feel that great about my, you know, fitness at the beginning of the year. And I'm like, it's because you don't have a really solid plan. You don't have a workout partner. So I spent a few months getting that in place, and now I couldn't feel more solid. I couldn't feel better, I couldn't feel more confident. I feel grounded, I feel proud. But the areas where I don't, my brain starts spinning, it starts making stories. Anxiety starts filling that gap between the plan, and it starts going, what's wrong with me? Like, I should be doing this, I should be doing that, instead of just sticking to the fucking plan because you have one. So when we don't have structure, our nervous system doesn't know what to expect. So it kind of just defaults to anxiety and panic. Like, it starts looking for bad. It's like, wait, why should I be feeling this way? Oh, that's why. Why is this feeling of anxiety right now valid? Oh, that's why. That's why. Let me look on social media. That's why. Guess what? Social media is always going to validate you and other people who are in your circle who maybe aren't where they want to be yet, they're going to validate you, too. So a plan brings safety, A plan brings direction. That's why if you ask someone who feels really clear in where they're going, like they have a plan, they feel confident. Like, when you ask someone who feels really happy, they probably know what they're waking up and doing every single day. So it's really easy for me, especially with glossy, to look at what other people are doing and go, maybe I should be doing that. Maybe I should copy their strategy. Maybe I should add this launch that pivot this. But the truth is that the fastest shortcut is to stop looking at what other people are doing. It's literally to tune in. So there's a reason why the things that you have done that worked out well. Worked out well. You were probably super in alignment with your own strategy, and you were probably listening to something in your gut. You probably felt really excited about something. You probably felt really aligned with something. So what if instead of chasing, like, these other things that people are doing, we learn to double down on what we already know moves the needle or on what we know we are feeling in our gut? Because you know what you are good at? You know what your zone of genius is. And you probably even know what you should be doing right now, but you haven't allowed yourself to get quiet enough to even listen to that voice. So let's talk about getting quiet, because our phones are training us not to be quiet. So our phones and social media are literally training us right now to not think for ourselves. And as much as I love AI, it is training you to have to rely on it, which means you're probably even relying on it for a plan of what you should do in your business. And while that is great, while that is partially great, I want to say it's fully great. You're not listening to yourself at all. So I went to a sound bath yesterday and I went, not intentionally, like, oh, I need a sound. Like, I need to go and do a sound bath. If you don't know what a sound bath is, it's like sound bowls. A lot of times it's associated with, like, you know, meditation. It's different frequencies for sound healing, and someone just kind of plays these different sound frequencies. Sometimes it's 20 minutes, sometimes it's an hour. I went to a launch of a product event for our friend Megan, who's also in our elite Mastermind. And she was launching a new product called Plunge. And she's like, you know, believes so much about the skin being internal, as do I. Like, so much about what's happening internally shows up on your skin. So not only did she launch this awesome product, but she was like, hey, I want to do a sound bowl meditation because your skin is going to reflect your nervous system as well. So she talked a lot about that, which is a hundred million percent true. So I ended up going to the sound bath, which ended up being 45 minutes long of just laying there listening to the sound bath. Right? No scrolling, no multitasking. This is the day before the Mastermind. So my head is spinning. I'm feeling anxious. I should be doing this for the week. I should be doing that because I'm out. I'm out for four days, and that is stressing me the out, right? So while I'm feeling this, like, go lay for 45 minutes, like, and this event is taking two hours. And I was so excited about it. And also that's where my head was at, going into this very still sound bath. Okay, cue sound bath. I start saying to myself things like, okay, this is where you get to fully surrender. And this is so good for you right now. And this is actually going to help you think about Glossine. It's going to help you Prep for the mastermind. And it ended up being the juiciest, most delicious, most incredible, most relaxing, most like big, profound reminder of why the stillness is so important. I don't know if I've ever allowed myself to have think time like that for 45 minutes. Drapes, probably a full hour, like, from beginning to end, kind of getting set up. When was the last time you guys have done something that luxurious for your brain and your connection to God and your connection to your body and your connection to your business and your why, like, now I feel like I can't get enough. Now I'm like, wait, this needs to be required for glosy because I started glossy because I knew in my gut what the direction was. And now, as you learn more, what can happen is you can start to go, well, they're doing this, they're doing that. This work, this, didn't that data, that data. Instead of going, wait, what do I know about myself? What do I know about my customer? What do I know about this business? What do I know about creating community? And literally, you are going to get so far away from that without think time. The most successful people, I'll say this shit. On every podcast, from interviewing thousands of people, you guys have different moments of think time so that they can tune in and get clarity like this. And while going for walks is awesome, that's what I've done also, you know, every single day for the past however many years. And I'm always like, yeah, but I go for walks, sometimes I listen to podcasts, or sometimes I'm with Chris, or sometimes I'm with a friend. I don't have solid think time like that, where, honestly, it was like at the very end that I was just starting to get into the really good stuff where I'm like, okay, let me. Let me think about this. Let me think about this strategy. Wow, I can't believe that just came to me. I could have sat in that for another two hours, and I can't imagine what would have come up for me. So I now know this needs to be a strategy as well. It's like, when you look at your week, what is the strategy? So when's the last time you did that? Because we're being trained every day to fill silence with space. I can't believe how trained I am to grab my phone.
It's actually scary.
Like, I was at dinner with my husband on the best date night ever, and I probably resisted grabbing my phone 10 times. I'm being so honest with you because I know that you're probably dealing with it too. Like, I don't even know what I was going to look at. Was I going to look at social media? Was I going to put another pair of blue jeans in my cart and not check out? I don't know. Like I just felt like I was supposed to grab my phone for no reason at all. We're being trained to not think for ourselves and just look for the fucking dopamine hit.

Want to get outside of other people's opinions, you got to give yourself some think time. And I know some of you who have kids and your moms and you're like, how am I ever going to do that? Maybe it's quiet time in the morning. Maybe it's before you go to bed, if you can get in bed maybe just a little bit earlier. Maybe you just spend that 30 minutes, you put on some meditation music and you're like, I'm just going to think, I'm going to ask myself a question. I'm going to say, how do I feel about this situation? Why do I feel this way? How do I really feel?
But we haven't stopped to listen.
And we are so intuitive, you guys. We are connected to God. I 1, Bazillion percent believe that. Like we are direct channels to God and it's up to us how tuned in we want to get. And even in the seasons where I believed I couldn't hear him sometimes those seasons were the seasons where I was being spoken to the most. Because there were things that I needed to get from that lesson and there were things that I needed to get from not hearing him, even when I was trying to tune in. That I got. And I will tell you, I believe God has always got us. Always. And so you need to tune in. You need to listen. I heard a quote before that I loved. It's prayer is where you ask God for what you need and meditation is where you get the answers. That's where you sit in silence. So you know questions like, who am I even really at this season in my life? Like, what do I know to be true about this problem I'm solving? When's the last time we've asked ourselves these questions? Because clarity is not gonna come from scrolling. It is gonna come from silence. And you don't get to build strength and surrender in faith when things are easy. You build that when you're barely holding it together, but you're still showing up right when it's like, fuck, your feelings, do it anyway. That's when you're getting the strongest. You're getting the strongest in the moments where you feel things are falling apart because you're proving to yourself that no matter what it looks like, you're still able to move through it. It might be trudging, it might feel like you're stuck in cement sometimes, but you're still not backing down. Don't get me wrong, I have days where it's 3pm and I'm like, fuck this crazy day. I'm gonna crawl in bed and call it a day because I can't go on. And I am going to say a prayer and wake up tomorrow and know that it's all gonna be there. But I'm gonna wake up fresh and I'm going to feel emotionally rested and I'm going to move through this no matter what. Feelings aren't going to disqualify you from your goals. It's what literally just makes you human. And the work is that you do it anyway. Because strength doesn't look like never feeling bad. It looks like feeling everything and still moving forward. So I'm not saying don't acknowledge your emotions. You absolutely should. I have cried in my car before. I have cried before investor calls, I've cried. And after investor calls, I've cried after launches, I've cried before launches. I've had so many days where I feel like I can't say a single fucking thing on this microphone and I just get on anyway. And I get days where I feel like I don't know how I'm going to move forward with the heaviest. And I don't even know what life is about. But I never forget that. It's all about action. It's all about action. It's about connection back to the thing that is most important, that has always got your back. And action is going to bridge that feeling of chaos to clarity, you guys, because action cures anxiety, it doesn't mean it's easy, but it is possible. So you guys fuck your feelings, but with compassion and do it anyway. Because you are allowed to feel everything, but you're not allowed to quit. I love you guys. I'm grateful for you guys. Thank you for always tuning in. And until next time, earn your happy. Bye, everyone.
